Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saint-André-de-Lidon

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

Super pleasant stay, change of scenery and rest at the rendezvous. The house is very nice and functional as well as the outside, large, wooded and the presence of the donkeys reinforces the zenitude of the place. We fully enjoyed this rental. What to say except thank you! Thank you to Petra and her husband for their hospitality, kindness, and the care with which they respond to the needs of their visitors. We came with my daughter to this region that we know very well. This is the first time in 15 years of Airbnb rentals that we have found such a functional accommodation. To go into detail, there is even a jewellery holder in the bathroom, clothes racks. Petra and her husband's love of nature is also a delight, the garden is superb. There's even a compost bin... We will return to this accommodation with great pleasure because everything is designed for the well-being of travellers and to make the stay the best possible. A place for the car, the host who opens the gate for you when you leave... We loved it! Thank you very much 🌱☀️

Lovely hosts in a lovely part of the world. If you are looking for peace and quiet - WOW. The experience of the vineyards is only interrupted by frogs and the occasional windy day.

Gorgeously located gem in the heart of Cognac, this is a super apartment ideal for enjoying the areas beauty - perfect for long strolls, accessible to Cognac's best eateries and only a stone's throw from the famed distilleries.

Great family stay at Barbara and Gilles's. They are very friendly hosts. The accommodation is very clean, well located and quiet. If we have the opportunity we'll be back with pleasure!

Very nice well-appointed studio with in particular the bathroom and toilet space arranged in a way that has privacy (quite rare in the accommodation👍) the outdoor spaces are simply beautiful and I would say that I place the welcome among the best I have received... human, helpful, discreet and responsive at the same time... well done to you both 🌞

Small quiet and peaceful village, perfect for relaxing and resting. Nice house with all amenities surrounded by a beautiful garden. We were also able to enjoy a very nice indoor pool. Recommended for people who love nature.

Clean, tidy "cabin spirit" accommodation. Bright, spacious, exotic accommodation. Many activities around to do such as visit the citadel and the city of Château d'Oleron, the beach and many paths in the woods.

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

Lovely place for a family holiday! They have great amenities like the heated pool, hot tub, ping pong table, badminton and a free tennis court. We spent 7 days a 6 nights there with 6 people and our little dog and really would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday in the south of France.

Perfect short stay. Communication with Bernard is simple, the welcome booklet is complete, the fisherman's hut is a real haven of peace. You will have everything you need for a great holiday. The environment is pleasant, the beach, the long walks, you don't get bored in Meshers. I recommend this place.

The hosts are very friendly and have created a very peaceful environment for this Airbnb. The pool was great. There are two neighbouring Airbnb apartments on the same land as the main house. There is no noise from the other apartment. It was very quiet! It was a pleasure having a morning walk to visit the animals. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely time. The house is very well equipped and beautiful. The fireplace, stone, wood and natural materials of the house make it very soothing. the garden and children's structures really bring a plus for family stays. I really recommend it, thank you again.
