Beachfront holiday rental in Saimaa

The room was full when we were 7 + dogs, but even for us this was a working solution. We found a bed for everyone and we enjoyed the sauna and pond. It was nice!

Cozy tidy house in a nice location, perfect for our group's weekend stay. The host responded to messages very quickly, and we thought the price/quality ratio was excellent.

Our group of seven spent four nights at Miia's cottage on the shores of Linnansaari National Park. We had an excellent time! The main cottage is on the small side for seven, the three kids were going to sleep in a loft space but with the noise challenges of lofts we elected to have them sleep in the sauna cottage, which has a beautiful sleeping space. We took full advantage of the ping pong table, darts, hot tub and sauna(s). We also rowed over to nearby islands several times (tons of mushrooms growing over there!). There were no other people nearby, really, so it felt very private. The back deck is perfect for lounging and eating meals when the weather is good. Miia helped us find a local fishing guide and gave us other helpful recommendations. We popped south to Savonlinna one day to walk the town and have a meal. All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Miia's!

A perfect small mökki for a summer getaway! With a private access to the lake with sand, great sauna, barbecue spot and a beautiful forest with loads of blueberries and wind strawberries around. It's maybe better for someone with a car, because the closest grocery store is 6km away, and to get drinking water you have to boat 2 km, which was not a problem for us, but the boat and bikes at the property were not in the best state, but still usable. The house has everything you need, but is very small -- I feel like even though there are technically 3 sleeping places, 3 adults will use up all the oxygen at night ) but for 2 adults or 2+1 kid it's perfect. We felt very rested afterwards! There's also a very nice hiking trail nearby.

The place is even better than the pictures. Beautiful nature and peace of mind make you relax. The kids found frogs and lizards in the yard and were excited. The water is warm and from the end of the dock is a good jumping. Be sure to bring small floats as the beach is deep. There are plenty of outdoor games and things to do in the yard. Inside is a fierce collection of movies to watch. The kids and adults were very comfortable. We already miss back!

Beautiful quiet retreat on a lush island. Everything you need to relax and enjoy your time is provided. There was even a midsummer traditional treat waiting for us. Satu is kind and responsive. She makes sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

We fell in love with the place last summer. Now we returned to spend the early summer days there. A low sandy beach for a five-year-old is a safe playground that we value. We're going to the cottage in July.

Very cozy cottage! Nice lakeside sauna and lake where you could row on a cottage boat. The cottage is surrounded by cliffs and a beach that created a good sense of privacy, and it was nice to spend time in the yard.

Gorgeous place, isolated spot but still in walking distance of bus to get to city. Cabin has everything you need. Will defo be back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this cottage! It was clean, spacious, and perfect for large groups. The place felt brand new, and the view of the lake was simply breathtaking. The BBQ area was the best we’ve ever had at a cottage, and we loved having a pool table to enjoy. The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The lake itself was large and beautiful, and rowing there was an unforgettable experience. The hot tub and sauna were also fantastic additions. Highly recommend!

Mika is a super polite host and the place is more than awesome. We stay five days in paradise and hope to come back sooner.

Had an overall lovely stay with my partner in a spectacular location right by the lake. Astonishing views for both breakfast and dinner were served right through the windows of the cottage. The price is of course in accordance with these features, maybe even a little too much. It might have been the particular weather but it was quite challenging to get the sauna ventilation exactly to where it doesn't let the smoke in the room.

The accommodation is cozy,very well equipped, tidy. Very perfect for us.

Awesome place and great host. We had some problems with the electricity, but Teemu handled it quite fast - during the Christmas days.

A great place for calming and grounding in the midst of nature. Great sauna and nice fire pit. It was easy to do business with Lotta, and the instructions were clear about everything. We had a camping stove with us and I recommend it to others, so you don't necessarily have to use a wood stove for coffee soup or other small heating. None of the insects hurt us, even though we didn't use repellents - the mosquito season is clearly already behind us. We hope you get the chance to come again!

The house was exactly what we were looking for: a cabin in the middle of the woods, in full contact with nature, perfect for admiring the lake area. We were right on a lake practically everything to ourselves, we also took a nice ride on the lake with the rowboat (there was also the engine but we didn't use it) and the sauna all to ourselves! Awesome!!! In the evening, eating outdoors in silence was wonderful. When we returned to the house we turned on the fireplace, beautiful. The children especially appreciated the darts and the pier on the lake. The house had all the comforts, even if the bathroom was external and organic: a hole with a bucket underneath, where you had to throw fertilizer between times, but it was all reported and it was also fun! The only problem was the cleanliness, because the house was not very clean, but so in the middle of the woods we could safely bear: we cleaned a little and adapted. In general, I highly recommend it!!

We enjoyed the holiday there very much. In addition to pure relaxation, there were also plenty of activities that were offered to make the stay as unique as possible. The toboggan run, which is only a few minutes walk away from the house, was a super busy for small and large. With the snowmobile provided, we were able to explore the surroundings and drive through the snowy forests. We had a lot of fun! The highlight was also the ice bathing in the lake after the sauna as well as ice fishing. Many thanks to Arthur and his son for sawing up the hole in the frozen lake😁. Definitely worth an experience! We can only recommend this house from the whole family and assure you they will have a holiday like never before with enough fun and relaxation.

Japitos Cottage provided an excellent setting for our weekend holiday! The cottage was in a very peaceful location, and the rainy days did not interfere with the stay. Jarno provided comprehensive instructions for using the cottage well in advance of our arrival and, if necessary, he also responds quickly to messages. We highly recommend this place!

Timo's hut is a relaxing place full of charm. Lost in nature, you have to think about shopping before you arrive. The isolation is very appreciable. Timo provides inflatable boats and paddleboards, which we really appreciated. The sauna with a lake view is very soothing. Timo is very responsive and welcomed us himself. Thank you for everything! We had a very peaceful time in this very nice little cottage. Perfect for 2 people. Beautiful view. Absolute calm. Lake easily accessible by a bathing ladder for swimming. Very nice sauna. 20 minutes from 2 supermarkets by pretty unpaved roads in the forest. Thanks Marjack for your explanations.

Perfect stay, the place is unique, like a fairy tale. We were very comfortable, relaxed and recharging. The house is, if anything, better than what is described in the description and photos. The hosts are charming and very attentive. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Our 200% recommendation for those looking for a charming and magical place to relax and unwind!!!
