Enjoying superb views, you will be just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Vernet les Bains with its square lined with cafés, bars and restaurants. Three times a week, a market selling local produce is held on the square. Buy fresh bread, soak up the atmosphere or walk 5 minutes further for fun in the outdoor pool complex with slides. Return to base and enjoy the calm of your private garden or sip on a drink on the balcony. If you need to work, the office provides a quiet retreat.

Our sympathetically converted barn is home to this lovely one-bedroom gîte. The original fabric of the building: big beams, old stonework, is very much on show, plus there's so much to see out of the window! You have a balcony view of Mt Canigou, as well as a lovely dining area for relaxed breakfasts and sundowner cocktails. Our little village is quiet and peaceful, yet only 15 minutes from the town of Prades, with its shops and famous market. And all around, we have the incredible Pyrenees
