  • Patricia is a lovely host! The cottage is super cozy, well decorated, and comes with all the amenities you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you :)

  • Patricia was an excellent host! She greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed after giving us a tour of the cottage. The space was super cozy and clean!

  • Patricia was the most gracious host. She gave us lots of local tips, was generous with her time, and had the most lovely space. The cabin was delightful, cozy and warm and beautifully decorated. My only wish is that I could see the garden in the summer! The tiny kitchen has everything you need. The sofa bed with the memory foam surprised me with how comfortable it was. The studio is right in town, and walking distance to the quaint downtown.

    Jessica2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is cute and cozy with everything we needed. It was very clean when we arrived and Patricia was kind enough to wait up for our late arrival. When we got in, she showed us around the cottage and made sure we had everything we needed. She also had a bunch of great suggestions for restaurants and attractions in the area. Her hospitality was unmatched and I cannot wait to return! While there, we visited the Royal Gorge Bridge and Bishop Castle. I highly recommend both.

Relax & reconnect with nature in our off-grid, 100% solar & wind powered A-Frame cabin set 8,400' high in the beautiful Wet Mountains! Enjoy awe-inspiring views of the night sky, dramatic sunrises/sunsets, & the quiet stillness of nature. Retreat in the uniqueness of a classic A-Frame cabin that includes a loft with queen sized bed, full bath w/ claw foot tub, full kitchen, & large deck for stargazing/yoga/chill time. Unplug from life's craziness, relax & enjoy it! We're 420 friendly :)
*If you're looking for a one night rental that's between two booked nights, send us a message for consideration. :) Our off-grid A-Frame cabin, The Red A Chalet, gives you the opportunity to experience awe-inspiring views of the Milky Way, constellations, innumerable stars, and full moons so bright you can read a book under its light. If you cannot recall the last time you saw unpolluted skies, be prepared to be overwhelmed. Our local community is one of only a few, certified Dark Skies locales (& the highest) in the world. In the nearest town of Westcliffe you can schedule a private evening at the Smokey Jack Observatory for even more dramatic stargazing. In addition to experiencing the wonders of the night sky, you will relax and hear the sounds of nature as not possible in a city. Wake up to bright blue skies and birds singing songs to help the sun wake up. You may even be lucky enough to see one of our local eagles, falcons, or hawks circling the skies (we provide binoculars for use during your stay). Or you might see our local mule deer herd, which can be as large as 40, eating grass right outside the cabin. You can also walk to the front of our 10 acre property for beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Our vision is to have an experience that integrates the simplicity of our nature surroundings with low impact living. The property is a continual work in progress converting a former animal ranch to a sustainable vacation rental. Therefore, you may see ongoing projects (paused for your stay) on the property, such as the building of a new bathhouse and sauna, or other home renovations. Simply note that the pictures you see in our listing are the most updated photos of our progress. As the A-Frame is powered by 100% renewable energy via solar panels and a wind turbine, all electricity is available per the power generated by the sun on any given day and/or as the wind decides to blow. While we have a relatively large solar array & battery system, the amount of electricity can range from essentially unlimited during high sun periods, to a small trickle or even none on very cloudy or stormy days. We obtain running water from our well, which is also powered by solar, as is our water heater. We have a secondary vintage hand pump well (good for workouts and relating to your grandparents) :) for any instance in which water is required and none is available in the house. You can view your stay here as a traditional cabin that has the added luxuries of modern living when the Sun decides it to be the case. ;) Please be sure to be prepared for adverse weather and limited/no power as a worst case scenario. Your stay will be an experience in living in accordance with nature and this can be a challenge to some, especially if there is an expectation of unlimited power and on-grid climate control settings. Also, please note that power availability into the night via battery power is much more limited during the Winter when the sun sets ~4:20 vs as late as ~9pm in the Summer, ie shorter days mean there is less time for the sun to charge the batteries. If you have any questions about a potential stay, please do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will be more than happy to assist! :) The cabin is comprised of a full bath, kitchen, living room, bedroom loft, and an extra large deck for stargazing, meditating/yoga, eating outside, and just general chilling. The bathroom has just been renovated and consists of a refinished antique claw foot bathtub with shower handle, new low flow Toto toilet with heated seat, and new Duravit sink. The kitchen is next to be remodeled and currently contains an ultra high-efficiency Blomberg frig with freezer, a small energy efficient Wolfgang Puck countertop oven, two burner electric stovetop (primarily for use during sunlight hours), Mr. Coffee espresso machine, french press, Berkey water filter, and kitchen sink. We also have an all-in-one LG washer/dryer for clothes cleaning. Outside, we have a Weber charcoal grill for use except for periods of county wide burn bans. And for backup purposes, we have a two-burner propane camping stove when electricity is not available for cooking. The living room has a wood burning stove, which is the primary heat source for the cabin and will be invaluable on cold days and nights (so will extra warm clothes and blankets). You can also do simple cooking/warming up of food with our iron skillets on top of the wood stove itself. We will provide you with wood during your stay to help keep you cozy. We also have a Gas Buddy indoor portable propane heater that uses 1lb propane tanks. There is also a full size convertible sleeper sofa with soft linens and two extra pillows, and a 46" energy efficient LED LCD tv with standard and mini-hdmi cables for connecting devices. You can also stream directly from your device using our Chromecast device. You can also listen to our vast collection of vinyl on our record player. While we do have wireless DSL internet, it is very slow (1.5mb/s) and can be unpredictable in its uptime. We usually can watch lower quality YouTube and Netflix videos and listen to streaming audio with no problem. Also, there is no reliable cell service at the A-Frame; however, you can obtain cell service with most providers in the town of Westcliffe (~25min drive), including free public wifi on Main St. The bedroom is accessed by a narrow staircase, originally from a boat's cabin. The loft bedroom has a queen sized Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress for relaxing into a quiet night's sleep.
Our closest neighbor is about 300 yards away and has been the best thing that has happened to us since moving out to the mountains. He, like many other people out here have yards full of equipments, storage, back-hoes, etc... We live in a relatively rugged area where you have to connect and rely on each other as a small community. For instance, we work with our neighbor to have 100% free-range, organic, ranch eggs, which we will provide you with during your stay, depending on availability from the hens. For hiking/walking, you can walk the local dirt roads, which seem more like wide trails since cars are so infrequent. You can also hike ~1hr to the top of the mountain right across the street from us, via a neighbor's vacant property, and see one of the most majestic 360 degree mountain views in Colorado, including a number of the highest peaks in the state. Additionally, there are large number public hiking trails, most of which are on National Forrest land, within a 20-45min drive.
  • If it's been a while since you've been able to see the stars, I highly recommend spending an hour outside looking at the starscape that's right out from the cabin's porch. It's a true nature experience, with the luxury of a lovely, cozy wood stove and a wonderfully decorated cabin.

If you're looking for a start to get a feel of staying in the mountains (coming from Florida lol) this is differently the place to begin! Even just as a sweet get away. The views from the Cabin are breathe taking. All of the recommendations the host provided, I give all of them 5 stars!

Rosita Heights cabin is on top of a hill, at 8,800 ft. elevation. Soak in panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristos & Wet Mountain Valley. Semi-rustic log cabin sleeps 6-8. A play & slumber room has 4 twin beds, + a futons & lots of room for romping or gaming. Master opens to deck w/ amazing views. Hot tub available year round. Fee to use ($25/stay) applies from November through February only. 8 acres assure privacy, quite & bountiful wildlife. $25 dog fee/stay.
Easily accessed via paved Rosita Road (CR-328), then 200 yards on a dirt road, this cabin is 15 minutes from Westcliffe. A 4-wheel drive, or AWD, vehicle is recommended in Winter and mud season (March-April). Once there, you will be outnumbered by deer, black squirrels... and an occasional elk, mountain lion or bear depending on the season. Twenty stairs to the deck and main floor provides a safe perch for observing the wildlife, mountains and valley floor. Rosita is a historic mining area, including a cemetery started in 1870. Besides the wildlife and mountains, star gazing is a highlight due to the lack of light pollution. This is truly one of the darkest places on Earth. A field scope is provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own telescope.
Rosita is in the southern part of Custer County. It's a beautiful 15 minute drive to Westcliffe via PAVED ROADS. It's an hour from Pueblo and 75 minutes from the southeast edge of Colorado Springs. Custer County has mountains on all edges - Wet Mountains to the East and Sangre de Cristos to the West. Search on "Visit Custer County" to learn more about events, sites and activities from the website managed Custer County Tourism Board.
  • This cabin is for sure a 10 out of 10. What a gem. It's rustic, but not so much that you feel uncomfortable. It's cozy and comfortable. The views are seriously unbeatable. I would sit on that porch for the rest of my life if I could. The house was fully stocked and we didn't find ourselves wanting for anything. We also used the "things to do" suggestion list in the house to go visit Mission: Wolf and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. That place is amazing and 100% worth a visit - we got to interact with real wolves! My sister was visiting from out of town and we decided we should just come back to Charley's cabin every time she comes to town.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views!!! The mountains look so surreal it’s breathtaking. Nice quiet private area to get away from everyday life. The cabin is big and well furnished, plenty of room for a family. I would recommend bringing food to cook. There won’t be any big shopping centers around for at least an hours drive. However there is a small town 12 min away. The kitchen has everything you have at your home to cook, which I loved! Overall wonderful experience, Charlie and Josh are great host!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

    Kieanna2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I booked our stay to get away from our busy lives and enjoy the slower pace that Westcliffe seemed to offer. The view we had from the cabin left me speechless for our entire trip. Having an AWD vehicle is a must for the winter months. Everyone in town was friendly and there were a few stores to do some shopping. There was a lot of things to do in the area. I would highly recommend Charlie's cabin if you are wanting a trip to enjoy the outdoors.

    Cameron2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We took a family of 10 to the cabin and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location while remote was fantastic. Great views and lots to do on the property had our family talking about a return trip to see what it would be like during the summer. We arrived while it was snowing and took advantage of the sled provided to sled down the hill the cabin is built on. There was plenty of wood to keep the fire stoked, and we took advantage of both the gas and charcoal grills. Lots of reviews mention the well stocked kitchen, and it's an understatement! Plenty of pots, pans and utensils to make cooking a breeze and even lots of cooking essentials to fill the gaps for any little things we forgot at the store. All in all a great stay and a fantastic bargain. We'll definitely be looking to return in the future. Thanks to Charley for being a great host and responsive to all our questions and needs.

  • Charleys place was very well stocked and exceeded all of our expectations. Beautiful place, gorgeous location. The views are astonishing!!

    Miranda2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I had a really good time here! The location is crazy secluded and is a perfect getaway. We drove to the little town and had some coffee at tumbleweed cafe I believe and their chai tea latte was amazing! We also got to experience Mission Wolf and hangout with the wolves at the Sanctuary which I highly recommend. At night time the sky and stars are unreal, I couldn’t believe how many stars there were. OH! and the view from his place, BREATHTAKING! This vacation/getaway was all we wanted and more and Charley made sure we were taken care of and there for any questions we had.

    Juliana2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views, clean cabin, many amenities! Charleys place is amazing if you want to get out of town and unwind a bit!

    Torrie2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing cabin tucked away behind the mountains of Sangre de Cristo range. We went to Sand Dunes National park about 2 hours away, snowboarded in Breckenridge and explored local cafes. Very remote and good if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Charlie was good to keep home supplied with timber for the wood stove. The view, hot tub and wood stove were our favorites.

  • What a great experience! The lodging is located right on Main St and close to everything. We were provided suggestions on where to go for dinner. We ended up going to Chappy’s and were very pleased. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a great breakfast. We stayed in unit 1, and thought it was very cozy, cute and clean! We shut the blinds and enjoyed the black silence. It was a reprieve from Denver! Will be back!

  • Mike and family clearly care about making your experience not just in Westcliffe, but in this corner of Colorado, a rich one. They have their fingers on the pulse of fun things you can do, from art to food to outdoor activities. The location is incredible and very walkable, being 1 block from Main Street and a coffeeshop, and 3 or so blocks from the grocery store. We were able to drive and be on a hiking trail in 20 minutes, too! Normally I would say not having WiFi is a dealbreaker, but the town and the house is so quiet and peaceful that it was a welcome change to be relatively unplugged for 3 days. I would recommend a stay at Mountain Thistle in a heartbeat and I hope we can go back soon!

    Beka2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful, welcoming home. Beautiful inside and out. Everything spelled out from local coffeehouses to getting prepped for a hike to check-out. A respite from the hurly-burly. Mike is a superhost for good reason.

    Tina2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent comfortable accomodation in the centre of Westcliffe. Amazing views all round and easy access to all Westcliffe's commercial outlets and also to the most amazing hiking trails only 30 to 40 minutes away in the Sangre de Christos mountains. The accomodation has excellent equipment, the super host is very helpful and the check-in and out is straightforward.

    Fred2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • One of the nicest stays I have had. Some great old fashioned touches. Kitchen is over stocked and very helpful. Strongly recommend

  • We had a fantastic stay at Mountain Thistle house. We did not spend much time at the house but after a long day of travel and a fun wedding, we crashed in the most comfortable bed and got a great night's sleep. The amenities were just what we needed and the location couldn't be better. We were sad the weather wasn't better to witness the beautiful starry sky of Westcliffe. It was a breeze to get check-in and out of the house and we left wishing we could stay longer. I would highly recommend the Mountain Thistle house for a perfect mountain getaway!

An 1890's 2 bdrm ranch house situated just south of historic Westcliffe and at the base of the beautiful Sangre De Cristo mountain range. This home is the perfect base camp for mountain climbing or sightseeing adventures or a quiet getaway.
The entire bunkhouse is yours for the duration of your stay. Enjoy the views of the sunrise, the Sanger de Cristo mountains and the unbelievably beautiful dark skies.
  • The pictures don't do justice to how great this place is.

  • What a wonderful stay! Christe was very quick to respond to all inquiries. The space was immaculate! They even started up the wood stove so we’d have warmth from the chilly night. The view was spectacular! Her suggestion to meal at The Alpine Lodge was spot on! Best meal of our trip! Highly recommend! 5/5 would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

  • This cottage is a great way to escape the busy, fast pace of city life. The hosts were very good with communicating everything we needed to know, they made sure several times during our 5-day stay that we had what we needed. The dogs were precious, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the living room with the wood burning fire stove was incredibly cozy. We brought lots of board games for our family to play, as we just wanted time away from the hustle and bustle. It had just recently snowed several inches, so our two young kiddos enjoyed playing in the snow. Mark and Christie were incredible hosts. We are so glad we chose this place!

A funky and unique custom built space, perfect for small traveling groups, families, or just even a couple wanting a fun place to stay.... Like diving back into time, this retro themed space offers up sleeping for 7, a small kitchenette, cozy living area with Roku TV, large dining area and a huge double shower and toilet bathroom. A hostel-like set up but with complete privacy. Walking distance to Westcliffe's busy Main Street which offers many restaurants, a quaint theater and local events.
Traveling with a small group coming to hike, bike, or relax and enjoy the area? Have a family that wants to sleep together and not rent more than one room or large house? Just wanna enjoy a cool fun vibe and take a break from "adulting" for a couple of days? This Modern Retro bunkhouse will be just right for your needs. We started with a custom built extra large bunk with a king bed on the bottom and a queen on the top..... steps instead of a ladder, and brand new Ashley mattress with fluffy bedding. Then we created a roomy, fun and cushy sitting area with some fun shag poufs, a large flat screen Roku TV, and an extra pull out bed (upgraded to memory foam mattress). A modernized dorm style bathroom with two showers, two vanities, a third mirror space, and two private toilet "rooms" to make getting ready in a group smooth and fun! And of course we have included a breakfast nook and bench style eating space to get each day started right. If another child or adult wanted to use the other couch as a sleeping space we are OK with that, but we feel that 7 is a max of people that we would be comfortable having use this room.
A quiet residential neighborhood, just 5 walk-able blocks to east Main Street!
  • Biancas place is absolutely adorable, and immaculately clean. She was quick to respond to questions and even greeted us when we arrived. You can walk to grab food in town, and are a quick drive to all the Westcliffe peaks!

Cozy cabin just minutes from downtown Westcliffe. Listen to Elk bugle and enjoy Deer in the yard. Minutes from the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and miles of trails to hike or hunt. Fish in a nearby mountain streams or Lake Deweese. Mountain bike, swim, raft, golf, ski or snowboard within a scenic 1 hour drive. Fresh free range eggs with every stay. This little town has a lot of history. We have a 55 inch smart tv downstairs with Dish and a smaller TV with PS3 and PS4
    Almost 1 acre of land
This is a beautiful wooded, country setting with deer in the area almost every day so you can enjoy watching and sharing the space with them. There is no hunting on property due to covenants.
  • Beautiful cabin tucked into a valley overlooking the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Two very nice bedrooms, a loft for the kids, and a comfy living space downstairs with full equipped kitchen. The setting is rural residential, so houses are widely spaced, with a farmhouse feel. Deer wander nonchalantly through the yard. An excellent place to relax and unwind, with shops and restaurants less than twenty minutes away in the town of Westcliffe. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Full of cute signs/ decorations and thoughtful items. I loved the game room upstairs and played board games with the kids. The beds/ pillows/ couch everything was so comfortable and relaxing. Honestly a very lovely cabin and great experience.

  • My girlfriend and I met some friends in Westcliffe to go snowshoeing and we loved our stay at the Crazy Woman Ranch. The space was clean and we were pleasantly surprised by the giant washer and dryer, perfect for getting our hiking clothes fresh and clean to bring back home. We didn't go upstairs but it was a nice area to relax in. Our dog enjoyed the snow covered yard and we loved the fresh air away from everything. We would definitely consider staying again when we're back in the area.

A lush spacious three room suite plus private patio, perfect for a pampered get away for two (a small third could also fit). The town is perfect, close to everything a Colorado enthusiast and lover of outdoors would want to be close to, convenient to get to, and yet just far enough away to keep the overcrowding, which is taking over much of the rest of the state, away from here. Come and enjoy small town Colorado!
We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood only about a block from Main Street. Westcliffe is small so you can pretty much get to anywhere in town by foot!
  • This is a quaint, quiet space with a wonderful king-sized bed and an incredible tub for soaking in! There are a few amenities(mini fridge, microwave, a few dishes and a grill to cook on). There is also a fire pit which we didn’t use, but looked nice. It’s a very clean space and it’s not far from town and the view of the mountains is incredible. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit!

  • I really enjoyed staying in the Starry Nights unit. It’s a very modern space with clean, great amenities. I would almost describe it as a minimalist style, with a touch of whimsy— which I loved. There’s tons of extra details, like the quotes and local art and even the detailing on fixtures... makes the unit all the more special. Starry Nights has a little kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom — glass shower with river rock floor and the huge soaking tub — were a nice treat. The wifi worked great and I even got a decent AT&T cell phone signal (if telecom is important to you - can be difficult in Westcliffe sometimes). Didn’t use the TV, but there’s a nice one in the living room area. Bianca was very easy to communicate with and provided all the info I needed. She also checked in to be sure I had everything I might need. Very thoughtful host. I would definitely stay here again.

    Amanda2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Starry Night's was a wonderful home! The pictures are exactly what it looks like. The bed was super comfortable and the big jacuzzi soaking tub was perfect. I would recommend staying at any of Bianca's properties. (She gave me a quick tour of some of the other units she has in the building and they were very nice!)

  • Don’t be fooled Bianca is NOT a super host, she’s a super, super host! My wife and I needed a quiet place to work on memoirs and we decided on Ravens’ Lodging in Westcliffe, CO. We made a commitment to stay for 31 days in Ravens #5. It had been recently remodeled and we were the first couple to stay in it for an extended stay. The bed had a very fluffy pillow top mattress that was just too soft for me. The second day we were there Bianca asked how we liked the room, I mentioned the mattress and that the mini-refrigerator was very small. She switched the mattress for a firmer one which worked great, and to our surprise bought a 10 cubic foot refrigerator the next day which gave us two refrigerators! If that wasn’t enough, she wanted us to let her know of anything else that would accommodate our longer stay. She bought a bigger garbage container, a small lamp, a couple of throw rugs and three-night lights which made the place very homey. Bianca definitely went more than the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I highly recommend Bianca and her properties!

    Daniel2020-01-14T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely place! Comfy couch, huge bed, and good location! We asked for recommendation for dinner and Bianca suggested Chappy’s for flame cooked burgers. We had a lovely time with nice people who made us feel at home.

Stroll through the town of Westcliffe and get ice cream or coffee at one of the little shops. Go bowling at Cliff Lanes. Take day trips to nearby towns like Salida or LaVeta. Ski or snowboard at Monarch Mountain only 90 traffic-free minutes away. So many options, whether you want to relax or if you prefer to keep active all day. • This place is beautiful! The pictures honestly do not do it justice. The serenity and location of the home is unreal. Waking up and going out on the deck to see the mountains and scenery everyday will never fail to amaze you. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars after a day of activities is one of the most relaxing things ever. You will not be disappointed booking this place!

  • We can’t say enough good about Pine Ridge! From the beginning and through our entire stay, communication was outstanding. Everything was new, clean and the thoughtful touches that Jim and Reena went out of their way for, truly makes them our best hosts yet! The views from Pine Ridge and the hot tub are SPECTACULAR! Pine Ridge is easy to find and nicely secluded yet close to the cutest town of WestCliffe. You will not be disappointed in this gorgeous Air BnB!

  • Awesome cabin nestled in the hillside. The cabin has everything you need besides groceries of course but the local supermarket in Westcliffe has everything you need. Very majestic place would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway!!

  • We had a great time at Charley’s place. The view was amazing, and great location to get around. It was quiet and spacious. Appreciated all the help during the trip!

  • Charley, our host, is one of the true hosts in the world. He loves supporting in very kind and sweet ways. Literally no question is too much for this guy. We arrived at this little "writers retreat" in the dark having no idea what we would wake up to. The surprise the next morning was pretty over-the-top with views AND the most quiet of quiet places. We drank our morning coffee in awe. Digital Detox is a great name for this place; a place to re-center and to rest into nature. Highly recommend - especially if your a reader/writer sort.

    Sarah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If "silence is golden" this cabin should be called king Midas Cabin. Complete tranquilly and quiet is achieved in this amazing cabin . This was our second time in westcliffe and the stars were actually even more beautiful this time. Do not forget to visit the local sugar and spice bakery but keep in mind they are closed mid December until late January.

  • This gem of a cabin at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains was beautiful and everything about it was perfect. It was tastefully decorated, had everything we needed and more, the perfect size for us, with extraordinary views of the mountains! It was wonderfully located for some seclusion, which we loved, with a special quaint town of Westcliff nearby and tons of gorgeous views to enjoy all around. The host went above and beyond and was very helpful. We would absolutely love to return!!

  • Charley's digital detox in Westcliffe, CO is a beautiful and relaxing getaway! This cabin is well equipped with a wide selection of games, movies and a few books to read as well! It was absolutely perfect for our family to getaway and spend quality time together. The views are beautiful! Pictures do not do it justice. This cabin is secluded and very peaceful. Highly recommended.

  • This cabin was perfect for our family of four! It's very remote without feeling like you are the only one on the mountain. Neighbors are near, but you can't see them or hear them. It was spacious, comfortable (even the beds!), well-stocked, had super nice towels in the bathroom, and just very nice. We had no problems or complaints at all!

  • It couldn’t have been better. The space was beautiful and equipped with everything I needed (and lots of lovely touches / local design). Bianca was very helpful and the location was great!

    Stephen2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at Bianca’s Ravens Nest ”Nook” and Ravens Nest Off Main “Starry Night” and both were fabulous! My daughter got married in Westcliffe and we stayed in 4 of Ravens Nest and 1 of Ravens Nest Off Main and they are definitely the BEST accommodations in Westcliffe!! We loved the location of Ravens Nest the best...right on Main Street so easy walking around town! The Off Main location is newly remodeled and only a few blocks to walk to town! Bianca was so sweet and very prompt in responding to questions and great at recommending places to eat and things to do!! I would highly recommend any of Bianca’s places to stay over any place in Westcliffe!!

    Kay2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Why pay the same price for a Westcliffe hotel room when you can stay in Raven's Nook? Open the door, walk in, shut out the outside world, and rest peacefully in this smaller rental unit. A king-size bed, large bathroom, two cozy chairs, TV, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker are yours to use. Bianca, the host, is always cheerful and wonderful to work with. If you're looking for a rental with a hotel price but with much more character, comfort, and amenities than a hotel room, Raven's Nook is for you.

  • This place is perfect for a quick getaway! Super clean and stylish. Bianca is An excellent communicator.

  • Wonderful location. Very clean, well stocked room. Rooms look new from renovations. We love the fact that property owners don’t want partying going on all night. Bianca is a very friendly lady who is a wealth of info about the area, real estate, politics, etc. Had one minor issue that was fixed immediately while we were at church. I had a vehicle problem and they recommended a local auto service company that took good care of my truck. We will stay at this location again. Mark & Janie Amarillo TX

  • The absolute best Mountain Scenery. We went hiking near the cabin and it was so beautiful. The town of Westcliffe is so cute and moves slow. We enjoyed the cabin so much, from the decorations to the spices, John thought of EVERYTHING . Enough privacy for two couples but still a very open house where you can interact with each other as often as you want. We have all promised each other we would be coming back next year! We loved it so much.

    Chase2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • John's cabin is a perfect place for some seclusion with million dollar views. He is very responsive, keeps a clean cabin, and has everything you need for a great mountain getaway!

  • John’s place was wonderful! We had an amazing stay. The cabin is beautiful, and it has everything you need (and want!) to enjoy some time in the mountains, and looking at the mountains! We couldn’t recommend this spot more highly.

  • From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed. John provides just about everything you would need for a home away from home including dishes and utensils to prepare your meals, blankets to stay warm in the winter and plenty of firewood to feed the wood-burning stove which amply warmed the entire home even in the middle of December. Not to mention the view of the mountains - spectacular! We'll be back!

    Vicki2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is wonderful. The location is fantastic for a peaceful getaway from the city and the winter sports crowds you find other places this time of year. The view of the Sangre de Cristos is unbeatable. If weather conditions are right you can sit on the comfy couch by the cozy fire and watch the mountains like you would TV! The cabin is full of thoughtful touches such as atlases, high quality hiking maps (we used one to go hiking while we were there), local newspapers and magazines, board games, and a wonderful library of all kinds of books for any age and interest. There were even some nice holiday touches in the cabin this time of year. Just enough to be festive without being intrusive. John is a thoughtful host, easy to communicate with and very helpful with any questions that might arise.

  • John's mountain cabin is a special place. Priceless views, sparkling clean, delightfully secluded. We enjoyed every bit of our time there. Hope to return in the future!

A spacious second floor luxury studio, perfect for two (A small third could fit on the couch) Bright, full of morning light & includes your own private deck for star gazing. An over-sized sectional to stretch out, spacious king bed, roomy divided bathroom, & huge closet. The kitchenette has large toaster oven, 3/4 frig, microwave, coffee pot & outdoor grill to make longer stays more comfortable. Decorated in soothing modern yet comfortable colors & original artworks, a true home away from home!
In a beautiful quiet neighborhood, only a five block walk to Main St., quaint coffee shops , a delicious Mennonite bakery, cozy restaurants, art galleries and a variety of shopping options. We are in the town of Westcliffe, 4 blocks from Main Street and the Mennonite Bakery :) Enjoy this top notch newly remodeled Colorado Home, beautifully decorated with original artwork and photography by Colorado artists, walking distance from downtown and local events. A short drive to dozens of hiking and biking trails, horse back riding, and Lake Deweese This beautiful little town features one of the grandest views of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Christo range you will find, true dark skies for star gazing, a plethora of summer and fall activities, and much more within just an hour of town. There are dozens of high altitude lakes to hike, mountain bike trails galore, horse back riding, shopping, and great food... as well as peace and quiet when desired. We are just 45 minutes from white water rafting companies, the town of Salida, two hours from the sand dunes, and for winter skiing an hour and a half from Monarch Ski area. Surrounded by ranches, local small farms, and strong Amish / Mennonite communities there is a wonderful blend of lifestyles. This property is so special and unique as it is was once built as a rec house and lodge for the ski area once proposed on the mountain side. Although that never came to fruition, this neat building was built and spent a few decades changing identities, always giving hospitality to visitors. We have now been able to create four different and spacious guest spaces in a quiet and dark residential area, each with a very unique feeling to them. The town is perfect, close to everything a Colorado enthusiast and lover of outdoors would want to be close to, convenient to get to, and yet just far enough away to keep the overcrowding, which is taking over much of the rest of the state, away from here. Come and enjoy small town Colorado!
We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood, but Westcliffe is small and you can pretty much get to anywhere in town by foot!
  • This is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at! Spacious, newly renovated, sunny, roomy shower, comfy couch (no uncomfortable futon!). And Bianca is the best host I’ve ever had - quick responses; knows how to decorate with charm; great local tips. Westcliffe is an awesome location (we were there to hike and snowshoe). We’ll definitely be back to stay at one of Bianca’s places!

    Janet2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our hostess was quick to respond with questions and concerns. We are very satisfied with our two night stay.

  • I found this place to be very clean, comfortable, and perfectly sized for one to two people. The bathroom and shower were excellent. You could tell that Bianca made sure that the apartment is very clean. For the price, I honestly think this is a bargain. I am looking forward to staying here again.

    Chris2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place. Absolutely no complaints. We had to book it last minute after our RV plans fell through, and it turned out perfectly. The hosts were amazing to work with. It was so much nicer than a comparable hotel in the area. It fit our needs perfectly. We will be back for sure.

    Jack2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you like sunshine, this is the rental for you. :-) Panels of windows on three sides of the unit, a pretty porch off the bedroom on which to BBQ and/or view the night sky, a full kitchen, a super-comfortable king-size bed and a wonderful over-sized sectional couch! Even though, there are homes around the rental, you feel like you're by yourself in the middle of the valley. The kitchen in this rental is awesome - even has a range and an island!

    Ellen2019-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great host!! New, clean and in a great location! Bianca was super helpful in offering suggestions on activities and restaurants around town. I will definitely be coming back.

  • My wife and I had a five night stay at this property, and it worked out great for us. The space is roomy and comfortable, the furnishings are tasteful, though not fancy, and the bed was very comfortable. Westcliffe/Silvercliffe is not a big town, but location of the property was within easy walking of downtown and eating places. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils, which worked great for us since we cooked/ate most of our meals at "home". We also took advantage of the washer/dryer after coming off a long bicycle tour weekend, as well as the gas grill. Tammie was a great host and very responsive when we contacted her. We had a couple of small glitches when we arrived, but Tammie took care of them promptly. She also provided us with some valuable information about the area that went beyond the usual tourist talk. We have already indicated to Tammie that we will not hesitate to stay here again.

    Bruce2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tammie's place is super clean, close to town and quiet! The bed was very comfy. Having all the items of home at Tammie's place was prefect for our stay during our travels!

  • Hillside Colorado Cottage's was an absolutely divine place to stay for a weekend exploration trip of Southern CO. The location was unparalleled for both sunrise and sunset views, and the property was isolated yet still accessible despite it being winter and experiencing some recent snowfall. The cottage itself is the perfect size for two people, we loved it for a romantic getaway, and offers an impressive kitchenware collection. We look forward to coming back in the summer months for another stay!

  • Excellent stay in a modern cabin setting -- clean, comfortable, with everything you might need in the kitchen and bathroom. Very helpful and responsive hosts. I loved the beautiful walks along country roads -- just a short distance down the road and up towards the Sangres. This is a great location -- a real gem.

  • My partner and I stayed during Christmas week and had an amazing time . The pictures don’t do justice ! The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. We packed a cooler full of food and the cottage had EVERYTHING we needed to cook! The shower is a great size and the water heated up quickly. Comfortable bed and well heated stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the city and enjoy the mountains .

    Calli2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, surprisingly easy to find! It is about 45 minutes to Salida, a very cool town but otherwise not near many stores, etc. The place was so cute and the perfect size! The views were beautiful and it was easy access to the Arkansas River. Thank you so much!

    Sara2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay as I knew we would being a repeat visitor and all! We love the location with all the wildlife + breathtaking views, the cottage is always sparkling clean, and it’s loaded with everything you need! The personal touch of their Peppermint + rosemary lotion, shampoo, + conditioner is so refreshing! I always buy some to take home with me! We caught our own trout and grilled at the cottages. We enjoyed their provided coffee and they conveniently have a fridge, stove top + microwave. Towns are close by if you want to eat out or stroll the town. This is our all time favorite place to stay in CO!

  • You can expect a nice house with a cozy feeling to it. There are a bunch of amenities to keep you entertained and is a nice place to get away for awhile!

    Denise2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home is PERFECT for a family vacation. The game room downstairs with the pool table and mini Cantina were a great touch. The views were out of this world. The TV’s are all tube TV’s save 1 in the upstairs area. The decor is somewhat dated as well. However, there is plenty of coffee, coffee filters, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, and pantry items there in the home already. All you need to provide is the food for refrigerator ( don’t forget the condiments). This place is beyond our expectations and we plan on visiting again.

    Jennifer2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I loved our stay at Robert's place! There was lots of room for pool, ping pong, watching movies, playing board games, doing puzzles, and just relaxing in front of the fire. The hot tub was great as well. We look forward to staying in Westcliffe again!

  • ***What an amazing place to spend Christmas! Walking out onto the deck, getting into the hot tub surrounded by snow and stunning mountain views is unforgettable. The house was amazing and would definitely book again. There is plenty to do just hanging out in the cabin let alone what all there is to do outside at the foot of a mountain. Westcliffe is also a fun small town. Loved it all.

  • This was the second consecutive year we have spent our Thanksgiving weekend at Robert's place. We enjoy this property a great deal and it is meets our family's need perfectly. Dove Cottage is located in Downtown Westcliffe! The house is perfect for large families or couples looking to enjoy the gorgeous views of the Sangres while enjoying the convenience of being "in town". Located within walking distance from the grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, bars, churches, library, and parks. Whether you’re coming in town to enjoy a festival with friends or need some alone time in the shade of the beautiful Rockies, you will always remember your time at Dove Cottage.
  • Great location! Walkable to downtown Westcliffe. Wonderful front porch and swing in the yard. Great views and even saw some deer crossing through the yard both nights. Would highly recommend! Very relaxing and quiet. :)

  • "The Dove" has the charm of an older home, filled with art and games and plenty of space for visiting and for reading or spending time alone. It is very close to the Main Street in Westcliffe and we enjoyed strolling through the town, visiting shops, going to a movie and even picking up some groceries - all within just a few blocks.

    Celia2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Becky responds quickly to inquiries and is very helpful. The place is much roomier than you might expect, with ample space for visiting and for quiet spaces for you to read or think by yourself. There is a sense of peace that is part of the whole environment.

    Celia2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough about this Airbnb. It was so much better and larger than expected. The pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed for a weekend (three couples) and it was absolutely perfect. Three full bedrooms, two full baths, a dining room to eat dinner and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare the meal. The living room off the back of the house has great views and a porch to go out and enjoy the outside. It was only a short walk into town to shop or eat at a restaurant. There was easily space for two cars to park right out front and the dark sky Observatory is just down the street. A great place to stay!

    Kerry2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Dove Cottage! A very sweet house in a location that can't be beat. Becky was very clear and communicative, and the house was stocked with everything we needed. It was quite big - bigger than we anticipated - which was a pleasant surprise for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 grandparents. Highly recommend it!

    Alexandra2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • A friendly and quite interesting couple. They have lots of stories to tell, and loads of great local info. Their home is cozy and comfortable, as was the guest bedroom. Their dog is friendly and playful. There are fantastic mountain views and, with Westcliffe designated an official Dark Sky community, the night skies are dark and filled with lots of stars you just can't see in light-polluted cities - a real treat for those into sky watching or night sky photography.

Watson’s Red House on 3rd Street is a comfortable and conveniently located home in the heart of Westcliffe, and close walk to town center. From the home and spacious yard are commanding views of 14,000 peaks. Red house is not your typical “spec” vacation rental since we use it frequently as our family's 2nd home. Instead Red House represents more of a complete home away from home that is a truly special spot to enjoy and stay that is comfy and well stocked. Yes! - we have Wifi and a King Bed!
For those who need to “stay connected” during their stay, there is Century Link DSL/Wi-Fi for your use. For a great night’s sleep, we went all-out on the beds - The main bedroom features a “King-size” Serta 5-star rated firm Sapphire II mattress. Sheets as well as pillow cases are 500 Pima thread count. Likewise both twin beds situated in bedroom #2 have top-rated firm Serta Sapphire II mattresses and premium 500 thread count pima cotton sheets. Comforters on all beds are “down alternative” duvets we chose from Pottery Barn. Likewise the pillows, that we love, are top drawer – we selected Isotonic Indulgence “down alternative” for all the beds. The home has newer floors, and fresh paint throughout. Decor includes botanical prints of Colorado mountain wildflowers, and James Audubon prints of some of Colorado’s native birds and other wildlife. Bathroom #1 is cheery with yellow painted walls, and has a separate shower, tub and tile flooring. Plush Kate Spade “New York” bath towels. Bathroom #2 features just a shower and commode (no tub). Plush Kate Spade “New York” bath towels. The living room is graced with a Vermont Castings glass front/live flame gas fireplace to add ambiance and warmth to this gathering and living space. There is a comfortable leather sofa from The Orvis Company Collection, firm wing chairs and a glass-top coffee table repurposed from a bicycle wheel. There is an antique cherry-wood dining table in the living room with beautiful lacquered cane chairs. (It’s my parents first dining table from post WWII; my breakfast table growing up) There is a Roku smart TV in the living room if you want to catch a game or watch a night movie using either the “free Roku channels” or order a flick your Netflix account. Our large “game room” is a fun gathering place with a round-oak game table and upright lacquered cane chairs. Home heat is provided via a central forced air furnace. The kitchen is well stocked with basic pantry items, pots, pans and dishware.
  • Such an amazing weekend! We went to Westcliffe for a weekend gateway from Denver and were not disappointed. This place is still one of the few hidden gems in Colorado. The house far exceeded our expectations and the pictures really don’t do it justice. We were a bit wary because there weren’t any reviews for this place but it ends up that this is a new listing in all of the best ways. It felt both cozy and new at the same time. Elizabeth and John were extremely responsive to all of our questions and had amazing local tips for Westcliffe and the surrounding areas which helped to guide our spontaneous weekend trip. Thanks Elizabeth and John for a magical weekend!
