  • Beautiful tiny house in a very nice and convenient location for visiting New Forest and surrounding areas. Sophie is a very nice, responsive and helpful host. We hope to visit again in the future!

  • Idyllic, cosy retreat in the new forest. A perfect hideaway with log burner and lay-z-spa, and wonderfully comfortable bed. Sophie was responsive and the ideal host. A lovely minibreak.

  • Very adorable little cabin. Can get a little cold but plenty of blankets are available, a little fire (which was lit for us as we arrived) and a heated blanket in the bed, meant this wasn’t an issue. Beautiful scenery and not too far from nearest town.

    Andrew2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log cabin , lovely and warm with the log fire . The hot tub is a fab location with lovely views over fields and sheltered from the winds . Remember a dressing gown in colder weather to get from cabin to tub . Highly recommend. Thanks Sophie

  • Fantastic little cabin with all that you need to get away from everything, the weather was bad but with the stove glowing away and playing a few card games it was all very magical! Both evenings we were in the hot tub and sat drinking wine and watching the storm 🥰

  • Great location right inside the New Forest and close to pretty town of Lymington. Some lovely decorative touches in the cottage. Tight squeeze either side of the bed due to roof height but that was expected as the photos are accurate. Lovely comfy sofas. Gorgeous cream tea on arrival! 😜. We only had three nights here but would come back again for sure.

  • The Croft was a great place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a relaxing weekend away. Mel and Craig were great hosts, not only was the Croft perfectly clean, they provided thoughtful extras such as a packet of biscuits and a bottle of milk for our arrival. Mel was quick to answer any of my messages and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed as well as accommodating an early check in for us at the start of our stay. The cabin itself has everything you could need for a weekend away - a great cabin and great hosts. Thank you Craig and Mel!

  • Such a wonderful stay at the cabin, an all-round great experience. The cabin has lovely decor and is situated in a great location which is nice and peaceful. There are so many places you can visit during your stay as well as things to do - would recommend the bike hire in Brockenhurst. Mel was super helpful during our stay and a message away incase we ever needed anything and we were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco which was really thoughtful! I would love to go back!

    Charlotte2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay here in Hordle. The place was very cosy - the bed was extremely comfy! It had all of the facilities that were needed to be able to cook there yourself. Complimentary prosecco was a nice added touch over the New Year!

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin to stay for a weekend getaway! The place was so cute, cosy and well decorated. The cabin was well equipped and Mel provided us with lovely croissants, milk, tea and coffee. The bedding was super comfy and warm. I would say it got rather cold in the morning so i would recommend putting the heater on - otherwise, everything was great. Thank you for being super accommodating!

  • A beautiful house, stylishly decorated and in a perfect spot. It was lovely to wake up to the breathtaking sea views, even on the stormiest of mornings. Large enough for our family group of 7 to spread out comfortably. A large veranda at the front and a decked terrace at the rear in addition to the large garden provides plenty of outdoor space for a variety of activities, weather dependent of course. Very attentive hosts who responded quickly to messages. We appreciated the welcome wine & biscuits - a nice touch and really enjoyed our short stay here.

Ideally situated on the edge of theNew Forest secluded and surrounded by wildlife yet three minutes drive to Railway, beach and forest 5 minutes drive.Walking distance to New Milton with pubs restaurants and takeaways..Our cabin has its own hot tub, some cooking facilities if required. Tea and coffee provided. There is private secure off road parking.
Situated between Bournemouth and Southampton, on the edge of the New Forest. The cabin is tucked away up our long drive in a secluded garden with koi pond unseen from the house. Surrounded by fields we have lots of wildlife. Yet five minutes away is the railway station, shops , pubs , restaurants and take always. The local beach is also a short distance as is the open forest. Bike enthusiasts may be pleased to know that the motorbike museum is around the corner, and Beaulieu motor museum a short drive away.
I love the fact that although surrounded by fields with deer , foxes , pheasant and all kinds of birds , we are so close to all amenities. the cabin is set in a beautiful garden with coy pond and ducks.
  • Lovely place to stay. Great location. Great helpful host.

    Alex2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location is fabulous - it takes only minutes to drive into the forest. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of comfortable touches, like blankets to cuddle under on the sofa. Obviously a highlight was the hot tub, which is kept beautifully warm. Altogether, we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

    Ashley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Had a wonderful trip with my partner to Lorraine's place. She was very thoughtful and welcoming. Made us feel at home! Hot tub was great! The ducks made us laugh, the wind swept us off our feet on the beach and we had some great food at the pub 3 mins drive away. Shame about the weather but we will be back again in the summer to check out the New Forest and enjoy the hot tub some more :)

    Al2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraines place was lovely and quiet, whilst at the same time within walking distance of lovely coastal walks, shops and restaurants. There were lots of nice touches such as fresh milk, shower gels and bath robes. The hot tub was really nice despite the cold weather - we will definitely be back when there’s more sunshine.

    Ellie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this as a break from city life or just a break from daily stressors! Gorgeous trips nearby recommended by Lorraine, and the sweetest garden which was just lovely. Hot tub was splendid and Lorraine was really helpful with all the extra bits and bobs around the place.

    Becky2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really wonderful stay here. Lorraine was incredibly friendly with lots of good tips about the local area and quick to respond to any queries. The cabin was peaceful and stylish, topped off with a great hot tub! Location was great with lots to see and do. Looking forward to booking another visit in the future to fit in all we didn’t get to do this time around.

My place is located in the heart of the New Forest, close to the sea, the Isle of Wight and the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. There is great cycling and walking with wonderful scenery, the New Forest animals, and great pubs and restaurants. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). There is a hot tub, and toys, a trampoline, a sandpit and a treehouse for children. I can provide a travel cot and high chair.
The Stables has a kitchen/living area, a bathroom (with bath/shower) and two bedrooms (double and king). There is a courtyard area outside, with hot tub, tables and chairs etc. We live in the house on the other side of the courtyard. You will be the only guests at the Stables with sole use of the hot tub. You can use any area of the garden (3 acres), which may also be used by my family.
Sway is a small village in the heart of the New Forest with good cycling and walking easily accessible. Sway village is a 5 minute walk (with pavement). There is a butcher, deli/cafe, convenience store, pubs and a train station.
  • My husband and I stayed for two nights with our 17 month old and we all loved The Stables. Check in was nice and easy, Astrid's son greeted us and showed us round and there were a few welcome bits in the kitchen (bread, milk, eggs etc). We made use of the highchair and travel cot - both were great and saved us taking our own. The bedrooms/bathroom/kitchen were great and had everything we could need. We didn't use the hot tub as we didn't want to face getting out into the cold but we made use of the gardens and play area - which my daughter loved - she also loved the fish, sheep and goats. The location is a great place from which to explore the New Forest. We're hoping to be able to return when the weather improves to make the most of the gardens and hot tub.

    Bethony2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage where I stayed was in a corner of the host's garden (which is not so large), and there was a house where the host lived across the courtyard. The host responded quickly, and there were things that were missing, such as detergent, but they brought me as soon as I noticed. Just not friendly. I didn't stay for the purpose of socializing, so it was fine, but I felt that even with a little smile ... The hot tub was the deciding factor for staying here, but was the study in the host house? I was worried that it was close to (I wish my child was hung around and closed the curtain when he was inside ...). You can hear the sound of the car during the day because it is close to the big road. The temperature is set at 37 degrees, so it may be good in summer, but in winter, the temperature drops and it gets cold, so we recommend that you raise it to about 40 degrees first. It is a few meters from the cottage, but there is a distance so it would be nice to have sandals. By the way, on the operation screen, "The recommended replacement date for water is 7 days past." The water itself looked beautiful because of the chemicals, but it was scary considering how often the water was replaced. From an ecological point of view, it may be difficult every time a guest is replaced, but at least it should be changed every recommended day. There was a tree house and a playground for children on the trampoline, but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough and I didn't have much opportunity to play. I think small children will be very happy! Also the animals were cute. The cottage was as pictured and warm throughout and there was no problem staying. The kitchen has all the basics. I didn't use it at home, but there were toys for pre schoolers. I was glad to have eggs, butter (in individually wrapped), bread, cereal, milk and a breakfast set, but the bread was in the freezer or the shelf life had expired. There was salt and pepper, but the inside was empty. I was also worried that the freezer was full of frost. It was good that there was an entrance dedicated to the cottage. Location does not have any problem to go around New Forest. I have seen various things like Bournemouth and Lymington in 5 days and 4 nights.

  • Alex's hut is absolutely beautiful. This was a romantic get away for the two of us and we weren't disappointed. Alex has really thought of everything here. It's a particularly secluded location and you don't feel overlooked as you take advantage of the outside spaces. Importantly, the location also feels super safe. The hut is dainty but super stylish and squeezes the best use out of every inch. Alex as worked wonders in making everything in the hut work seamlessly. Alex has included everything you could need. We actually took stuff with us that we didn't need, such as bin liners, kitchen towel and additional loo roll. The fully stocked fridge with bacon, sausages, orange juice, ketchup and peosecco was amazing as was the hamper with some sharing size kettle chips, baked beans and a choice of granary or white loaves. I almost forgot to mention the preserve tree full of different jams, marmalades and so on! The kitchen area, hot tub, bbq were all spotless and made for an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this to anybody wishing to wind down and enjoy some down time. Would love to return some time!

  • A perfect weekend if you like dinky spaces. The location is fabulous. The hut is beautifully kitted out. Alex left all sorts of thoughtful touches from a bottle of prosecco to eggs from her hens. A great pub in walking distance, The Pig a short taxi ride away. When you throw in the amazing hot tub too, we needed for nothing more! A really lovely weekend.

    Sophie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! The hut is amazingly clean and well decorated, until the last little thing. It’s cozy and romantic. We loved to spend the afternoon in the hot tub with the Prosecco Alex gave us, aswell the morning walks around the area. It was absolutely a perfect weekend and we highly recommend. Thank you Alex, we will be back! :)

  • The perfect couples getaway. All the little touches make it that extra special. The shepherd’s hut is so lovely and cosy, Alex has thought of everything you may need. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the hot tub by candlelight with the bottle of prosecco. It was fab! Would recommend!

    Jennie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted to find a place to relax away for valentine's day and this was the perfect place. We thought we might have had a difficult stay given there were storms over the weekend, but the cosiness of the Shepherd's Hut couldn't be beaten!

    Matthew2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely, clean little hut with everything you might need for a secluded idyllic weekend break from it all. Great for hiking and exploring the wonderful new forest. We even had deers gently wake us up walking on the frozen ground early morning. Amazing. Alex is lovely and the breakfast hamper had some yummy thoughtful things (we're veggie) including fresh eggs from their own hens.

    Becky2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cozy shepherds hut with everything you could ask for, Alex is a great host and her attention to detail is fab. We really enjoyed our Christmas stay!!

    Jemma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is MAGIC! It’s lovely to have the private hot tub and porch etc... but this hideaway is so much more. Alex is hugely accommodating host - she provided us with fully kitted breakfast & snack hamper, prosecco, a full fridge, firestarters & firewood, fresh / new toiletries, slippers, robes etc. We wanted for nothing, and had a wonderfully snug time in this private spot in the New Forest. Our trains to / from London were disrupted due to service strikes, so Alex even kindly collected & dropped us at the station. The cabin itself is tiny - but that is its USP. I was amazed that every possible amenity, a log fireplace, and a lush bed can all fit within a literal arm’s reach. This area of the forest is beautiful, and we had a lovely 5 hour walk through the county, to the seaside and neighbouring towns. If you want to walk through the New Forest, that too is very accessible. The cabin includes a walking guide for the area. Hoping to return in the summertime. It’s gorgeous!

1913 cottage, taken back to red brick walls making it a very cosy, light humble home done by myself. Large flowered garden bringing a relaxation feel of a get away. 2 bedrooms available. 5 guests in total. Each advertised separately. This is the Surf Hut Room with Double Sofa Bed. It sleeps 3, possibly 4 if 2 small kids slept in bunk at a push. Extra £20 for 4th which is set up on site. Other room is on site under “Double Room with Small Cot, Walkford” Search under Walkford UK, 2 guests to find.
PLEASE NOTE THE PRICE FOR THIS IS FOR THIS INDIVIDUAL ROOM MAX 4 GUESTS, YOU NEED TO GO BACK ON THE SITE TO BOOK THE DOUBLE ROOM WITH COT IF YOU REQUIRE THE SECOND ROOM. PLEASE ALSO STATE NO OF GUESTS 1-4 WHEN BOOKING. IF THE KIDS ARE YOUNG THE BUNK COULD SLEEP 2. MANY MOTHERS HAVE ALSO SLEPT IN BUNK WITH CHILD LEAVING DOUBLE BELOW TO TAKE A FURTHER 2. A FAMILY OF 4 COULD SLEEP IN THIS ROOM. HOWEVER IF KIDS ARE TALL TEENAGERS THEN IT MAY BE TIGHT, SO ID RECOMMEND MAX OF 3 PEOPLE. PETS ARE WELCOME TOO. THERE IS AN EXTRA RATE FOR THIS, PLEASE ENQUIRE AS THIS CANT BE ADDED TO CHECKOUT. RE THIS ROOM Just to keep you updated, I few days ago a guest broke the sofa bed. I think the kid jumped from the bunk onto it. Anyway I have managed to get a new sofa bed today. This actually fits a lot better in the room, as it fits lengthways under the bunk, this means it does not take up all the floor space as the previous one did. I have updated the photos on site now so if you looked previously, this is why the photos have changed. This will show how more spacious the room is now. The width of the sofabed is still the same as the previous sofa bed was, making it a small double. This is actually a far better bed, as it is much sturdier, more comfier and uses less room. The previous sofa bed came outwards using all floor space towards the wall and had to be folded back to move around. Because the new sofabed fits under the bunk, it now means that the ladder up to the bunk, can now be used rather than climbing on trunk boxes at back as before. The chest of drawers are easier to access too for clothing. There is also a TV in the room and a basket of bathroom amenities incase you forgot anything at home. Fresh towels are provided and clean fresh ironed linen is provided. Beds will be freshly made before your arrival. There are fairy lights in here and candle lights with a remote which can be used as night lights for kids. This sofabed has a gap underneath, so extra storage can be tucked away underneath. The kitchen is roomy and has an island with stools to eat or do work at. Bathroom has a French bath and shower available, but is shared with myself. Large garden, that in summer has a pool outdoor gas fire and seating and full of flower. Not so nice in winter!! There is another bedroom available also advertised on air B&B, so if there are more than 3 of you then the other room is a double with a small crib. It is advertised separately under “Double bedroom with small cot in cottage Walkford”. If you have questions please message me. Parking is available on my driveway on 1st come 1st serve basis. The road is a quiet residential road. Very Near CHEWTON GLEN HOTEL so useful if you can’t afford their rates! Close to beach and New Forest. 2 local pubs (Chris Evans visits) one at end of Rd, local shop and take away too. MORE THAN 5 OF YOU? PLEASE NOTE IF YOUR A LARGE FAMILY AND WANT TO STAY TOGETHER, THERE IS A THIRD-ROOM WITH KINGSIZE DOUBLE (MY ROOM) THAT CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE BUT NO CUPBOARDS OR DRAWERS WILL BE AVAILABLE. SHARING OF SPACE IN OTHER DOUBLE IF CLOTHES NEED UNPACKING. THIS MEANS I COULD ACCOMMODATE A MAX OF 8. MESSAGE ME IF THIS IS NEEDED AND WE CAN SEE IF I CAN ACCOMMODATE FOR YOU.
Very friendly area. I’m head of neighbourhood watch and whole of my road is one big very friendly family. Crime is non excistant here thankfully.

  • Thank you Lara for your lovely hospitality. The kids and I had a lovely stay, and they particularly loved playing with your gorgeous dogs. Thanks for giving us tips on where to visit to best see the New Forest ponies, local attractions and places to eat. The little touches such as bottled water and chocolates were an added bonus and nothing was too much trouble. We had a nice relaxing stay.

  • If you are dog mad then there is nowhere better to stay! Was made to feel so welcome and my very large, slightly nervous dog was welcomed in with open arms. A wonderful environment to be in, can’t wait to come back 🥰

  • It's easy to see why Lara's place is so highly rated - Superhost in every way! I spent 4 nights at Lara's place (with the lovely Huxley, Radley and Po) and could not wish for a better stay. Lara goes the extra mile to take the stress out of your day, offering to do shopping/laundry while I was working long shifts and even having a cup of tea ready for me on returning back. A real home from home with many thoughtful touches. And what a comfortable sleep in that bed! Despite having dogs they are both so well tempered and I heard no barking or disruption my whole stay. Lara herself is such a welcoming lady, I enjoyed many of our chats. Truly down to earth and made me feel like her home was my own. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Garden House is a self contained annex nestled in a secluded position in the garden of our family home. It offers a comfortable base from which to explore the New Forest and nearby towns and beaches. Perfect for couples or families with young children to enjoy all the South Coast has to offer.
The Garden House provides comfortable, well equipped accommodation on a single level for two adults (plus space for cots and children's beds if required). Tea, coffee and a few breakfast provisions are available to help get you started.
A short walk along the road (no pavement) and you're at a lovely New Forest pub and the open forest with access to lovely walks and cycle routes. Our house is next door to a lovely riding stables should you wish to explore the forest on horseback. Lovely farm shops and village post office are on hand to help you stock the fridge for your stay!
  • Lovely place to stay in the New Forest. Good location for getting around and there were lots of helpful hints for what to do nearby. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and the recycling bin was handy! Great value as well.

  • A comfortable space for a couple to explore the forest and coast from. Has all the basics you'd need including fridge, oven, microwave. Good, and hot, shower for cleaning up after a day in the woods. We were there in the aftermath of Storm Dennis and whilst it was damp outside, it was warm and dry in The Garden House. Beth and Nick are great hosts and we look forward to going back again.

  • The Garden House is a wonderful little property which is perfect for a weekend away in the New Forest. Whilst the location may seem on the outskirts, it is actually extremely quick to get into the heart on the New Forest and explore local walking trails, and of course see the ponies! The property itself is attractive and small, and is located at the bottom of Beth's garden. It has all the amenities you may need, and Beth also kindly provides the basics with a bit extra (milk, pastries, and even wine)! The Garden House was also cozy, despite us visiting during a cold snap. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.

Located 2 bridges, 1 road and 7 minutes 34 seconds walk from the Steamer Point beach, leading to a further 8 minute 14 second walk to Mudeford Quay. New 2 bed self contained airy, bright flat with exclusive entrance, off road parking, en-suite bathroom and a kitchen with all the tools to attempt to compete with some of the best local eateries. ( Also a walk away!)
Our Airbnb is an annexe attached to our family home. There is a separate access, although there is a lockable interconnecting door which we use when we have our own family and friends staying. We have two children and a (very friendly)dog so you may hear muffled family noise, but we are very respectful of the guests we have staying. Off street parking is always available.
We are so lucky to live in Mudeford. We have everything on our doorstep. Friars Cliff beach, Avon Beach, and Mudeford Quay are a short level walk away. Highcliffe Castle is a beautiful 15minute beach/ forest walk away. The New Forest National Park, is 10 minutes cycle / drive and has some stunning trails, villages and pubs. We have bus and train links to Bournemouth, Southampton, Lymington and further surrounding areas of Dorset and Hampshire. We often cycle from our house to Mudeford Quay, catch the ferry to Mudeford spit and cycle to Sandbanks along Bournemouth promenade. It’s a beautiful ride, with great cafe stops on the way.
  • The location of the accommodation is brilliant- great walks and bike riding, along with having easy access to all vehicle routes. We were warmly greeted by Vicky and felt extremely welcomed. The accommodation is very clean and beds are very comfortable. Definitely a little ‘home from home’. If you bike, make sure you find the time to bike to Poole along the promenade- we started off from Vicky’s, went via Tuckton and saw some beautiful sights that we hadn’t seen in over 36 years of coming down to the area. The walk to Avon Beach and along to Mudeford Quay were really easy and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Wilson Cottage, in walking distance of the beaches at Highcliffe in the New Forest, has large open plan living spaces, where families or friends can enjoy each others company. Within the original Edwardian shell there are full width bifolding doors to the deck, and a contemporary open fireplace in the lounge area. There are four bedrooms, kitchen / dining with large range cooker and American style fridge/freezer, granite worktops & washer. This leads to the lounge so everyone is close by
The beaches at Highcliffe are just a mile away, and the New Forest National Park is half a mile away. This cottage is easily accessible by rail or car alike, and either will take you in to Bournemouth or further along the Dorset Coast “We really enjoyed our stay at Wilson Cottage. An ideal configuration of bedrooms for our group. Would use again!" "We had a lovely time thank you. It was very easy to book the cottage" "We would definitely stay in one of your cottages again. Thank you for all your assistance" "We had a lovely holiday in the New Forest and will be sure to book again" "A great stay. Home from home!” "Off road parking was great" "we had a great holiday and would recommend the house" "We did indeed enjoy our stay on the South Coast. We found the parking places very convenient " "We really enjoyed the holiday and our visit to your part of the UK" "It was big enough for our party and very convenient” Wilson Cottage | Highcliffe on Sea | New Forest Wilson Cottage is located at the south west corner of the New Forest, just a mile from the beautiful beaches at Highcliffe and only half a mile from the New Forest National park itself. Chewton common is close by, as is the wonderful spa, restaurant and small golf course at the well known Chewton Glen Hotel. As well as the forest and the beaches virtually on your doorstep, Christchurch and Bournemouth are just a short direct drive from this New Forest Cottage. Wilson Cottage owes its name to Richard Wilson, Victor Meldrew in ‘One Foot in the Grave’, which was filmed here. Victor Meldrew’s house was located just around the corner, and this cottage is featured in the 1991 One Foot in The Grave Christmas Special, covered in snow. During the extensive restoration and refurbishment works the whole roof was removed, along with many interior walls, the back wall taken down and the house extended on both floors, doubling the floorspace on the ground floor, meanwhile the front elevation was restored to it’s former glory, wooden sliding sash windows reinstated and the whole exterior repointed as well as a new roof built. The contemporary design of the rebuild and extension is reflected throughout the interiors, with large open plan spaces, full width sliding/folding doors to the garden, contemporary open fireplace and reclaimed timber floorboards throughout. Walkford is a small village, with a couple of pubs within a few hundred yards in either direction, and a good convenience store at the end of the road. Highcliffe is within easy walking distance, where you’ll find a good selection of restaurants, including in particular an excellent Thai restaurant run by a husband and wife chef and waitress team. It is small though – so be careful to book especially if it is for a large group. There is a top quality chinese takeaway next door to the Thai restaurant too, and several other places to eat, as well as a handful of pubs, tea rooms, coffee shops, supermarket, antique shops and a kayak and surf shop. Just beyond the main street you’ll come to the cliff top and sandy beach, where there’s a quality cafe/bar/ restaurant open in the daytime and evening with fantastic views. Wilson cottage is the perfect base to discover the south west New Forest or venture further along the Dorset coast for a day, perhaps taking in Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door or Corfe Castle. The kitchen/dining/living space has plenty of space for a family group to dine all together at the table. Theres a cosy central fireplace for winter and the full width sliding folding doors accessing the large deck are wonderful when the weather turns warmer. At one end of the room is the kitchen, which has fitted units with silestone granite worksurfaces and a freestanding Ikea Udden stainless steel kitchen unit providing ample worksurfaces and storage. There is a wide range cooker with a single very large oven, a built-in stainless steel american fridge freezer and a integrated dishwasher and washer. The base and wall units house the cooking and dining equipment needed for your break. The purpose designed kitchen and dining arrangement here makes Wilson Cottage a wonderful cottage for adding a chef-catered meal for a special evening in, with no washing up to do, no tables to set, or taxis to arrange home, as you’re already there! The lounge space at the other end has sliding/ folding doors to the deck and open garden, and a contemporary fireplace, with large settees facing each other so everyone can socialise and relax in comfort. There’s a television with DVD, and a radio / CD player. There are four bedrooms at this large cottage, Three are double rooms, and the fourth bedroom is a bunkbed room which has full sized adult beds. There’s some flexibility for groups whose requirements differ slightly. The two larger front bedrooms each have an original fireplace a pleasant street view, one is on the on the ground floor. The two smaller back bedrooms have surprizingly far reaching views across the gardens behind, one of these has the bunk beds, one has a double bed and also includes a desk. The modern bathroom has a double ended bath with a shower over, heated towel rail, wc and basin. Downstairs, the cloakroom has a wc and basin.
South Coast and the New Forest is lovely - come and stay and experience it for yourself!
  • Great location for a family weekend. Lots to do in the local area and the walk to the beach was lovely.

  • This accommodation exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 7 adults and 1 child and every single one of us loved the home. It was clean and catered for all of us. It’s so close to the local beach and about 20/30 mins drive to Bournemouth beach. The weather was on our side and my boyfriend proposed to me so this little break away and Wilson cottage will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Full use of the chalet with terrace decked area complete with a table and 4 chairs and a barbecue for the use of the guests, 2 bedrooms 1 x double and 1 x twin, full kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster and all utensils.
During school holidays we only take Saturday to Saturday bookings. Although we supply bed linen the beds are not made up.
  • Malcolm is very quick at responding to message and can solve your problem very quickly. Initially, I thought I need to sort the entertainment pass with reception only, and I found that the owner needs to prepare the document. And Malcolm just sorted out everything after I type a simple email in the reception area. Very impressive! And I only able to pay for him straight after my trip, he did it for my trip completion. Therefore, better to talk to him about the entertainment pass first. All my kids enjoyed the entertainments in there, very impressive that entertainers can remember all kids' name, and they provide entertainments on time with good quality, it is hard for my kids to accept the end of holiday. The indoor pool is excellent that it is warm and have all practical features. It is a basic accommodation with self catering facilities, no central heating but a electric heater. The duvet is a bit thin for winter/ Autumn. With regard to the price, it is worth it! Remember to bring all towels, including kitchen towels. The place is facing the sea, very close to swimming pool and entertainment complex. My husband fancy these area and asked me to book anther holiday near this area.

The annex is insulated and heated with electric heaters, in cooler months these will be turned on long before you arrive, there is also a heated mattress cover on the bed.
We are seven minutes drive from Lymington which is full of lovely places to eat and shop, more information can be given via email and there'll be a list of places to eat in the room. I am happy to make recommendations. Opposite Appletree annex, just a two minute walk away is Gordleton Mill, a five star hotel serving breakfast lunch and supper daily. There's plenty to do in the area, we are five minutes drive from the New Forest National Park where you can take a walk with the new forest ponies, cows and donkeys. Milford has some very nice shops and restaurants.

We are strictly NO SMOKING inside or outside. We offer secure off road parking as we have a large gated drive There will be bread, butter, jams, milk and cereals for breakfast with tea & instant coffee
Brockenhurst is a lovely village with a ford at one end of the Main Street, it has a few individual shops, a Tesco Express and a small Sainsburys, Chinese and Indian takeaways, as well as some lovely tearooms, restaurants and pubs.
  • We had a really wonderful break at Val’s annexe; everything in the property is thoughtful and well considered, making it an extremely easy and pleasant stay. The lovely touches (such as tea, milk, bread!) were far more than we would have expected, and the added touch of letting us meet their dogs was the cherry on top! Overall we had a fab stand and will definitely be back for another visit!

    Cathy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was a present for Christmas. We were so pleased with the location and the annexe. Val was very friendly but also not intrusive, the annexe was very clean and had good facilities for a short stay. We particularly loved having the private garden. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

  • Fantastic value for money, had everything we needed, perfect for a weekend away and definitely would book again when back in The New Forest

    Amanda2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I spent a weekend here during January. Everything in the place was really clean and it's in a quiet location. We especially loved how comfortable the bed was. Although it is an annexe, it is very private and separated from the house - we didn't see Val all weekend (not a criticism at all, just a testament to the privacy of the place and the fact that our stay went so smoothly!) Val was very responsive via message before, during and after our stay and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. Thanks Val!

    Lauren2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Val's place was great! We mostly picked it as it was dog friendly and boy was it - the garden is completely secure and when asked Val lent us a dog bed and water bowl, which was super appreciated! The house was sparkling clean and the comfiest bed, plus Val and her family were super friendly and welcoming, all in all a very pleasant long weekend!

We were surprised when we went into the dinning room the next morning to be confronted with an amazing array of things to have for breakfast. Love the croissants. Their home is very clean and the room is comfortable. The home is in a good location for visiting the New Forrest area and Bournemouth/Poole. • On arrival a huge warm welcome from the hosts, who made us feel at ease straight away, beautiful home and service throughout, Alison and Brian are very professional in giving excellent attention to detail service, and so kind giving time to advise on all the local places of interest, I’m already planning my return again this year with my 86 yr old father, who loved there coastal escape too, we also feel blessed my car was just below our bedroom window , which was super, much appreciate that, keep up the excellent work, Alison and Brian, and do enjoy your rest time. Many thanks and kind regards, Hazel & Peter (Dad).

Our our privacy was respected as Alison and Brian went out of their way to make sure our needs were catered. The breakfasts were amazing. There were tea (including herbal) and coffee available in our alongside the homemade cookies, which were yummy. Bright, clean, white, fresh decor. The room is in the garden annex, completely separate from the house. Close to Christchurch historic town centre (20 min walk), with Christchurch Priory, shopping, restaurants & bars & the beautiful quay. Close to the New Forest. Many places to visit. 10 min drive to Bournemouth, 20 min drive to Poole On bus route with bus stop right outside, 15 min walk to Christchurch train station, & 5 min drive to Bournemouth International Airport. Plenty of parking
My house, is easy to find, just turn off the main Spur Rd into Bournemouth, at Blackwater junction. It's location is quite central for lots of places to visit 20min walk into Christchurch town Centre 15 min walk to train station On bus route, bus stop right outside 10 minute drive to Bournemouth 5 minute drive to Bournemouth International Airport 10 minute drive to New Forest 20 minute drive to Poole The 'Garden Room' is in a new, separate annex, my garden is quite large, so should feel the space is quite private for you
Christchurch is a lovely place to live, a mixture if historic and beautiful places of interest - The Priory - The Norman House ruins - The Quay - The River - The Market (Monday) - Special events, eg Food Festival - Hengistbury Head and new with great restaurants, shops and bars

  • Amazing place that is less than a year old. Really clean and it has a kitchen/living room that I had all to myself and was not a “shared” space as mentioned in the listing. Great location with co-op and a few food places around as well. Would definitely book again.

    Brad2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great garden chalet ... spacious, clean and well equiped, very comfortable bed

    Nick2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean bigger than looks on photos. Even though it says that the kitchen is shared we did not have any interactions with anyone else. In a great location for airport and Bournemouth. Would highly recommend to anyone looking in this area.

Sleeps up to 3 guests. Private guest suite with own entrance and patio area. You have your own key and come and go as you please. 15 minutes walk from Southbourne beach, Southbourne Grove and beautiful historic Christchurch. Also, a thriving local restaurant scene offers a great choice of food.
The Bolthole suite has two sleeping areas, meaning it can provide accommodation as a double, twin, or triple. There is a double futon bed, (which can be converted to a sofa during the day) and a second sleeping area is a mattress on a mezzanine platform. (This is accessed by a ladder and has a double mattress, although due to the ceiling angle is really only suitable for one person). The suite includes a shower room with toilet. There is a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. (Please note that there are no actual cooking facilities in the Bolthole.) There is a 39” full HD TV, with Freeview and on-demand channels, and a smart speaker offering the usual assistant services. To the rear of the suite there is a small private patio area, with a table and chairs. The suite benefits from its own private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. The Bolthole suite is a 2 minute walk from Tuckton shops, with its food stores, coffee shops, laundrette, take-aways, restaurant, riverside pub and a small local bar. From the property it is a 5 minute walk to the River Stour; with the Riverside bar and restaurant, tea gardens, boating activities and riverside walks on to Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Spit, and via boat onto Mudeford Quay. It is a 15 minute walk to Southbourne’s sandy beaches, or to Southbourne Grove, with a large range of bars and restaurants. 15 minutes in the opposite direction will take you to the historic town of Christchurch, which has more bars and restaurants, as well as the spectacular Priory, the late 11th century castle ruins and beautiful quayside.
Tuckton is a lovely area, sandwiched between Southbourne and Christchurch. There are local shops at the end of the road, with a cafe, coffee shop and small bar. Just around the corner from these is the river, with The Riverside restaurant and bar, Tuckton Tea Rooms and pleasure boats for hire.
  • Fantastic space and great hosts. Exceptional value for money and perfectly located between all the local beauty spots.

    Zoë2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic place. Really good location close to beaches, town and forest. Immaculately presented and some really lovely touches!

    Claire2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous little place! Very cleverly designed, stylish and cosy! Had a lovely couple of nights and a very comfortable sleep. A really good central location too :)

    Lucy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely quirky studio with wonderful home touches and stylish decor. Lots of great local info and suggestions as well as lovely treats too. So close to both Bournemouth and the New Forest, so a great location whatever your trip plans. The locals took us in at Flat White coffee shop which is so lovely and just a few minutes walk away. There is no food heating facilities but this suited us just fine with just enough in the kitchen for our short stay. We would happily return and be very happy to stay at the Bolthole again, thank you Janine and Adam.

    Sam2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is much bigger than looks, super cute and great location! Host was really Accommodating too! Lovely little touches like google and books! Really enjoyed my stay! X

  • Have just spent two nights at the Bolthole which we really enjoyed despite storm Dennis! The accommodation is spotless, stylish and comfortable and close to local amenities. It's about a 15 min walk to the sea and lovely restaurants at Southbourne. Will definitely be back to explore some more. Thank you Janine and Adam, we loved your place :)

    Emma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Janine and Adam have created the most beautiful cosy place. The cute little touches make it not only a fabulous place to stay but if you’re into fashion photography and want some cool ideas and backdrops, this is the place to go. I went on a relaxing get away but also needed somewhere close to the beach and wooded areas for my photography. This place has it all. I nearly didn’t go out to the woods etc because there were so many great props in the house. It’s close to everything you need and both Janine and Adam are on hand at all times if you need anything, (which you won’t as they’ve thought of everything). I love it so much I can’t wait to go back when the weather gets a bit warmer. I can’t say enough good things. Possibly the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in so far.

    Lee2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Janine and Adam were very accommodating. We had a lovely cosy stay at The Bolthole. Really convenient for family who live nearby. The earlier reviewer was right it is bigger than it looks in the photos. Very nicely done out.

Our chalet is located on Hoburne Naish in Barton On Sea. Its a lovely, bright 2 bedroom chalet with its own outside area for relaxing and bbqing. Its fully equipped with TV, DVD, Alexa Echo music system, WI FI, microwave. It is located 50 metres from the cliff top. Please note that the chalet is not central heated, however it's very well insulated and has an electric convector heater in the main area which we find sufficient. We also supply an electric fan heater for your comfort.
Hoburne Naish is a fantastic park with swimming pools, gym, arcades, crazy golf, children's/adults entertainment, bars, restaurants and play areas. Passes are £40 per group and these are included in the price you pay. There is a path direct from the park that leads down to the beach where you can walk and take in the views of the Purbecks and The Needles. There are fantastic beaches for water sports, swimming and paddling within easy reach. It is a great place to explore the New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth too.
Check out Hoburne Naish website to see all the fantastic facilities available for both families and couples. Beautiful walks and places to eat located on the clifftop, Highcliffe Castle and Mudeford can be reached by walking along the beautiful beach
