It's hard to find the words to explain how amazing this place is. Tranquil, beautiful and a little bit of heaven tucked into a gorgeous bit of Yorkshire. It was lovely and cosy and very comfortable. Tony was an amazing host, I didn't get chance to meet Barbara but I will be back so hopefully will get the pleasure next time. The outdoor shower was just amazing. The weather was fairly mild but it was an exhilarating experience none the less. I can't wait to visit again.

The pictures and descriptions have literally made me feel excited ever since booking this trip and whilst they were incredibly accurate, nothing prepared me for the overwhelming beauty of the space, as we arrived. Tony was incredibly welcoming and supportive and explained everything to us with so much patience, although we had arrived quite late. The view from the bed in the mornings was probably my highlight, and I don't believe I could put into words how very calming, nourishing and relaxing the little cabin was. On the last day, we braved the elements and tried the alfresco shower and it was such a surreal experience. Despite the cold temperature outside, the water was hot enough to not even notice the cold, and the views were simply breathtaking. Both the main cabin and the smaller "bathroom" were decorated with so much love for details and provided us with everything we could have possibly dreamt of. We had no reception whatsoever, which was great to just be in the moment and take everything in. We went to Hebden Bridge twice for food and coffees and had lovely vegan food and stacked up on some snacks and water. The fairy lights outside the door, as well as the smaller lamps inside the cabin always invited us to stay in, read a lot of books or play chess. Overall this was one of the most beautiful holidays I have ever been on and we are more than excited to hopefully come back next year again.

Stunning place even in the rain. Beautiful surroundings truly at one with nature. On arrival Tony & Barbara shared information about the local area and walls. Then to the cabin which was very spacious and tranquil. 100% recommend this place. Would like to book again when I can find a date it’s free, that’s just how amazing this place is. We had a lovely stay in the cabin and really enjoyed our time there! Feels very secluded despite being close enough to the house in case we needed anything; the perfect balance! Tony and Barbara provided some very handy tips for walks around the area, as well as delicious flapjacks and great selection of hot drinks and breakfast options. Really accommodating of dairy free too, which was much appreciated! Good location, with Hebden Bridge only a short drive or bus journey away. Such wonderful accommodation. Will definitely be looking to stay again next year!

We had an amazing stay at Barbara and Tony's, really friendly hosts and beautiful location with lots to do nearby. The cabin itself was really unique and Barbara and Tony provided us with useful ideas for walks and were really quick with communication

We stayed at the tree cabin for a little break away. It was absolutely beautiful, great location & the hosts were lovely adding thoughtful touches to the stay including Tony’s homemade delicious flapjacks 😃

You have to experience the cabin to understand it's charms. It was everything the details told us but Tony and Barbara's extra bits were great. Homemade flapjack on our arrival was delicious along with all the tea, coffee etc which was so helpful but on arriving the peace was something else. Absolutely no phone signal or WiFi in the unit helped us relax but you cannot stay in the cabin and not relax. We never touched the car until we left walking everywhere and wallowing in the views but the final joy was on the morning we left jumping into the outdoor shower was an experience that will stay with me for a very long time. Thank you for sharing you little bit of paradise.

Such lovely hosts, gave us a proper tour of the area when driving back from the station and invited us in to show us some local routes. A very relaxing stay and well worth the money.

Amazing view, very clean but most importantly a very friendly host!

Our stay at Nic's tiny house was beyond amazing. Check in was a breeze with effective communication. The house was spectacularly clean and with perfect views. We particularly enjoyed the runner ducks over breakfast! Nic had impeccable knowledge of the local area. Highly recommend the pots and pans walk! Although a little breezy. The tiny house has all the little amenities one needs for a quiet getaway. There are plenty of board and card games available. We spent hours playing chess and looking over the view. Don't hesitate to book this perfect getaway, hopefully we will be back one day.

Such a lovely little cabin. We had a really relaxing time. There is loads to do nearby and pubs within walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Nic was a great host, responds quickly and you can tell is such a nice genuine person. The accommodation it self was so special and such a great find. We didnt have the best weather but I think that made it even more special hearing the rain and wind but staying super cosy in the hut, absolutely brilliant. The views are pretty spectacular and fully recommend sitting with a cup of tea just looking out in the morning. We went to many of the places Nic suggests and all were lovely, great area for a couple of drinks and taxis easy to get as well. The peasant woke us up in the morning which I loved especially the nosey chickens and ducks.

Beautiful cabin in perfect location

We loved our stay in Diggle. The place is absolutely beautiful and we have already recommended it to so many of our friends. Nic was a great host and this shone through her friendliness, knowledge and recommendations. We miss the chickens already!

We had such a fantastic stay at this Tiny House in Diggle. The house itself is so cosy and beautiful, and the setting is stunning. The host provides a delicious breakfast and is so helpful and friendly. It was a picturesque escape from city life, and perfect for a small family. We will certainly be returning!

The log cabin was to dieeee for! Such an amazing building with amazing decor. Everything was superb and was definitely better than we thought it would be. We were gifted with a bottle of red wine which was very kind. I’m already looking to book again. Amazing value for money.

Alton forest lodge was incredible. The facilities were superb and the countryside was lovely. We will be returning.

Far surpassed any expectations I had. With there being quite a few of us I expected to feel a bit crammed in, how wrong I was!! it was very spacious and looked brand new, there were loads of quirky books and games around to keep us entertained and the location was perfect! It was so peaceful around and the hot tub was great at night with a lovely view of the stars. We went on a walk in the forest and found a rope which was pretty fun and walked down one of the trails to a lake. I will definitely be coming back here for years to come!!

I am reluctant to tell the world how lovely this place is in case I can't book again myself! If you like remote but stunning settings, this is for you! Luxury accommodation in a tranquil area which we thoroughly enjoyed despite wet weather. Comfy beds, well kitted out rooms and a luxurious hot tub too! Will definitely be returning 👍

I stayed at Rosie's apartment for one night as I was attending a concert in the area that evening. But nonetheless I was made to feel very welcome - the apartment is spacious but cosy, plenty of natural light and quiet enough not to really be aware that Rosie and her family live 'upstairs'. The check-in details were simple to follow too. It's a short 10 minute bus ride from Sheffield train station - ideal! AND there are plenty of local amenities and places to eat as well.

The most amazing host and the most beautiful space. A week of retreat from building works. Rosie couldn’t have made us more welcome. Fabulous!

We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious and very stylish. We couldn’t fault our experience.

Lovely place, exactly as described, but with plenty of thoughtful extra touches. Rosie suggested some great places for us to eat, was an excellent communicator, and the flat was extremely clean and comfy. We had a double air bed, and a double futon, and extra blankets and storage heaters kept us nice and warm. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet apartment, perfect for a City break. Hard to believe it's right in the centre of town, but it is; so made for a very easy stay. The facilities are good, place very clean, beds comfortable and it easily sleep 5-6 people. Kitchen is well equipped, and as an added treat we were left a bottle of wine. Thank-you Tim!

We have just got back from 2 nights at David’s place. There was 16 of us for my hen doo. It was a perfect party house and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend anyone thinking about booking this house to just go for it... you will not be disappointed!

A great house! we went for a friends 50th birthday get together. 12 adults and 5 children The summit Pub is a 15 minute walk away and the food was really good. We had a lovely walks along the canal. The host David called on arrival to check that everything was okay and offered easy communication incase of need!! Although we didn’t need to use it. Great living space and comfortable bedrooms. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay.

The house was so beautiful! The photographs do not do it justice! Stayed for a hen do and the house made the trip. It was so special - beautifully decorated, spotless and facilities were excellent. The surroundings were lovely particularly when enjoying from the hot tub! Each bedroom was done wonderfully and each guest felt really looked after and in a 5* stay. The view from the King bedroom was particularly lovely to wake up to! The house offers such a large communal area which was lovely for the occasion. To top it all off, David was so helpful from the day of booking and particular in my last minute flurry or questions. If you want a special trip with beautiful facilities - stay here!

This is an amazing place for a large group to stay together. It's easy to access from the motorway and is in a stunning location. The house was spotless, stylishly furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was very helpful and attentive before and during the weekend and communication was good and he replied quickly. It worked really well for us to go away with friends and family to celebrate our birthdays. We enjoyed a meal provided by the recommended chef who came to the house and cooked us an excellent meal. We were able to walk from the house along the canal and we all enjoyed the views, especially from the hot tub! A great place for a house party weekend.

Completely worth the money

Booked Karen's annexe for my parents anniversary, they loved the place! Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with many thoughtful touches. A short flat walk into Holmfirth and a (slightly steeper) walk to the Holmfirth vineyard the place couldn't be better sited. Highly recommended.

Five star place to stay!! Clean, cozy, self sufficient, safe and calm. The countryside is a wonderful view from the bedroom. Karen and Kevin are truly amazing hosts and Holmfirth is worth discovering. Loved the experience and staying.

Neil's place is gorgeous! So beautifully decorated and so comfortable as well. Neil is friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. The flat is right near a big tesco, close to nice cafes on Kelham Island, and about a 30 min walk from the train station.

Neil is a considerate and friendly host with great tips about the local area and places to eat. The room is really clean and stylish and I really enjoyed my stay with him.

Sean's place was very conveniently located near transportation and supermarkets. It is also only a half hour walk to the city. Sean was a wonderful host and a wonderful man.

Sean is an amazing host.. He welcomed me very warmly the whole 7 nights I stayed in his place.. He helped me by carrying my luggage up and down the stairs.. He do everything that he can to help out.. The location is very close to city center, the tram and bus are very near.. Aldi and Tesco and other shops are near to the house.. I felt safe.. The room is cozy and the bed is comfy.. I cooked in the kitchen it is very well equipped and Sean gave me shelf in the bridge and a cupboard in the kitchen to put my stuff.. He gave me local tips on what to see in sheffield and in UK in general.. One of the best people I met through my travels and He is the best Airbnb host I have met.. I recommend his place for sure and I would stay again myself

Lovely studio style accommodation. Much bigger than shown in the pictures as although I was on my own I definitely will be staying here with my husband when in area again. Very modern place including Netflix on tv and fast internet connection for doing my emails. Nice little extra of breakfast provided including bread for toast and plenty of coffee, tea and milk. Nice local pub just across the road did very good food! Very friendly hosts

The room was exactly as advertised and even came with a breakfast. My daughter didn't settle in the travel Cot, so Clare very kindly arranged for an alternative bed at short notice, which meant we all had a lovely stay.

A wonderful little cottage in a great location. Claire's place was lovely and clean. Breakfast was included which was good and had nice touches such as little chocolates and access to netflix! The space was perfect, there was only 2 of us but could have easily suited 4. Claire was a great host and popped by to say hello, and offered advice on the local area.

City center easily accessible from the accommodation. Just take bus 40 up the street and you will get to the center in less than 15 minutes. Arash is super friendly, very open! The bedding is clean, washing machine and kitchen utensils available.

Alan and Melanie's place is very cosy and stylish - exactly as depicted in the advert. I loved the idea of adapting a walk in wardrobe into a mini kitchenette- it made us feel comfortable and more independent . The house is perfectly located, both close to the city and the countryside, with only few minutes walk to Sheffield Rivelin Valley nature trail. Alan and Melanie were very responsive and helpful but at the same time very respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!

Stayed with Alan & Melanie overnight. First time in shared home. Check in was smooth, constant contact with hosts and warm greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and bed super comfy. It was a shared bathroom but never saw hosts so as if private. There was a cupboard coverted into a small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster & basic food stuffs for breakfast; a genius use of space. Great value for money, would stay again if ever in sheffield overnight.

Melanie and Alan are wonderful hosts and I can't even find words for this special and nicely decorated house. The room is so cosy, I already miss to sit at the window, watching the sunrise while sipping a coffee. The kitchenette is well equipment, the house very clean and only a three minutes walk away from the tram - perfect!

We stayed at Gaia Lodge for 4 nights in February with our 10 month old daughter. We had a great stay, it was cosy and very clean with everything you could need for a trip to the Peak District. The location is great, close to public footpaths for walks and the Manifold Trail to cycle. We loved the hot tub and went in each night, it’s also lovely to have a log burner in the lodge when it’s cold outside. Sue is a lovely host - she couldn’t have been more helpful.

Cosy cottage in the middle of a stunning landscape, the perfect place to escape to for a few nights. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well stocked, the hot tub is of course a great addition! Susan was a great host, showing us around when we arrived and explaining how everything worked. She is clearly passionate about making people feel welcome and sharing this special space with newcomers. I would definitely return!

A slice of private heaven

I had a good stay at Richards house. Very clean. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Richard as he works shifts and I work long days. Getting in and out of his home was a great touch, using an app on your smartphone. Very easy to do. Would definitely stay again

Very good company at Richard's, I spent a great month in Sheffield. Richard is always ready to help and he is very accommodating. The Nuki lock system requires a smartphone.

Ann's home is cosy, warm and just whats needed when travelling as much as I do. Ann is chatty and friendly and by the end of a lovely evening I slept superbly, which is rarely the case. The facilities in the home are excellent, spotlessly clean and comfy. I would definitely stay again.

A great little gem of a cabin. It feel like your a million miles away from the hussle of any town, but conveniently close to lots of attractions. Very well equipped inside,with beautiful scenery.

My favourite air bnb experience so far. Everything was spot on with the lodge - really warm, lovely high quality furnishings, comfy and huge sofa, great kitchen and wonderful bed. Amazing views of countryside all around the living room and all mod cons. I could live there! Feels very private and the dogs were a joy too - really friendly and soft. Second to none hospitality - we were brought fresh farm eggs and had a lovely morning seeing lambs born just that morning and chatting to Chris about the farm. Paula was very quick with responding to any questions about the booking and check in was easy and smooth. We had a great walk to Hardwick Hall, Paula was so helpful with directions. Loads of walks and runs in the area and Hardwick Inn is a great pub for lunch and beers post walk. This is such a top spot for a weekend break, you can just stay in the lodge and cook or get a takeaway! A lovely family and a lovely spot - an experience that reminds you how great Airbnb is to have genuine experiences. Thank you!

Fantastic little retreat! I went for a weekend away and a breather and couldn’t be more pleased. The cabin is immaculate and well presented, lovely and warm with a great little kitchen and soft furnishings. Even though it was a rainy weekend it was still beautiful to sit and relax, especially with the family dogs popping on to the deck to say hello and sunbathe (when the sun did come out). Paula was very welcoming but also we were able to relax and unwind. There was lots of walks around if that is your jam but great for a simple cuddle up and read weekend too. I definitely will be coming back for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lovely stay at Paula’s place the whole family were very helpful and welcoming. Dogs were lovely and got to feed the sheep along with meeting the other animals. A lovely mini escape for a weekend!

An extremely light, comfortable, modern wooden cabin on an elevated ridge of Magnesian limestone, overlooking open, rolling farmland. A great base for exploring the towns and stately homes of both Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, as well as archaeological and geological sites. Plenty of nearby walks to observe the wildlife by day and to rekindle my interest in astronomy, whilst sitting outside at the front of the cabin to observe the night sky. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, all amenities absolutely spot on and it was so quiet and dark at night. Paula and Chris are indeed superhosts, being both friendly and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the cabin and will certainly be returning again sometime in the future.

We booked The old wash tub for a final break before back to work after Christmas. The cottage is lovely, welcoming and clean, in a beautiful location. It’s very quiet which is just what we wanted. Alex and rob even had cake waiting for us on arrival which was a really lovely touch! We also loved that the fire was lit and they even had a little Christmas tree in the cottage. We booked the hot tub experience which was amazing. We used it from 6pm and it was lovely and warm all evening, we enjoyed Cava and chocolates with the luxury package and candles and the fire had been lit in the cave, it was amazing! On booking I did think the extras like the hot tub prices are a little expensive, but I’m still really glad we did it, it was a lovely way to spend the evening (and of course it was our decision to book the extras, we where in no way obliged to, we just couldn’t resist!) All in all we have had a lovely weekend and have already told our friends about your lovely place. Thanks Alex and rob!

Great cottage and lovely people

Having stayed in a number of rental cottages over the years, the Wash house, by far, comes at the top of the list in terms of quality of accommodation. Alex & Rob have created a home from home with this place, we would change nothing, top rate.

Beechenhill Farm and the Old Wash House is an idyllic location from which to explore the upper reaches of the River Dove. Superb views across the dales and hills from the bedroom the Old Wash House is tastefully decorated, warm and cosy the Log Burner provides additional heat and enhances the relaxing atmosphere. You are guaranteed a comfortable nights sleep in the feature bedroom and the en-suite shower WC and washroom are clean and inviting with plenty of towels. High Recommended

We had a great time at Alex & Rob's place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The local villages are conveniently located and the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there! Will certainly revisit in the summer months!

Lovely place to stay, spacious, all the amenities and more, lovely hosts, we couldn’t have asked for a better trip! We were very well looked after, the hosts went above and beyond. The location is stunning and there is so much to do nearby - with personal favourites given from the hosts - and their recommendations should definitely be followed! Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and we will definitely be coming back.

The cottage is lovely and cosy. It’s a short walk to Castleton and perfect for exploring either by foot or driving around the area. Marieanne is a lovely host and the little touches of leaving dog towels for our lucky pups was much appreciated. We loved coming back in the evening and curling up in front of the log burner as well. BOOK BOOK BOOK! From the moment we booked Ramblers Cottage for our minimoon, we knew we had picked the right place! Marieanne was quick to respond and gave us all the information we needed prior to arriving. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL and spotlessly clean! The finishing touches (I won't spoil the surprises) were thoughtful and sweet and really made us feel special. Even Ginny (our cockapoo) was catered for, with a few dog towels! We had an amazing time at Ramblers Cottage, its within easy reach of some great walks to explore the Peak District. Castleton is literally a 5 minute drive away as is Hope Valley. This is the best Air B&B we've stayed in and is truly a gem of a find! Thank you Marieanne for making our minimoon perfect!!

Beautiful cottage in an amazing location. Marieanne was so understanding when we didn’t arrive until a day later as the weather was so awful! A really well equipped place to stay. Wonderful to have little touches like a local pork pie and bottle of wine to welcome us!

A lovely, cosy cottage based in the heart of the Peak District. The host was very helpful and left very thoughtful touches, making the cottage much more personal and welcoming. The decor is modern yet warming and the host has gone to a lot of effort to create such a cosy environment. The property was clean and very suitable for both humans and furry friends. If you are looking for somewhere which has everything and ticks all the right boxes, this is the place to stay. I would definitely come back again!

Lovely cute place in a authentic country location. Less than 10 mins from bakewell and under 30 mins to castleton and all the main spots in the peaks. The cottage is fairly small, but more than big enough for 2 and probably bigger than the pictures suggest. We had a great stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, perfect space for 2 people with a dog! The cottage was easy to find, in a great spot for walks and super cozy in cold wet and snowy weather. Jenna was a flexible host who was easy to contact and ensured lights were left on for us to find the house ok as we arrived very late. Perfect last minute getaway to relax and unwind. Would stay again!

A lovely cosy cottage which is perfect for a couples getaway. Great amenities, included a slow cooker and toastie maker as well which was a good surprise! The hairdryer was very powerful which was great for my thick hair. Great location if you want walks right on your doorstep. Convenient car parking space right outside the front door. Lovely personal touches which included a delicious cake, eggs and milk. Communication was excellent with Jenna and replies were incredibly prompt which made conversing very easy. Thank you very much and we can’t wait to come back ☺️

We have stayed at a few Airbnbs all of them have been nice, but I think this was the best! Lovely cosy cottage for two in a very pretty little village. Very comfy and spotlessly clean we had a lovely stay and would love to stay there again. Also can recommend the pub just down the road!

Absolutely loved this cottage. Arrived during a gale, lashing rain and hail, in pitch black and as soon as entered the cottage it was so snug and cosy. Spotlessly clean, kitted out with everything you need and perfect location to see the best of the Peak District. Couldn’t recommend more.

Can't reccomend this place highly enough. Outstanding facilities and brilliant hosts,we even got a bottle of fizz and some chocolates on arrival. Got left alone and only seen Daniel on arrival and as we left,although he did say if there was anything we needed he was only happy to do so! Will definitely be back 👍

This was our first time staying in an Airbnb and certainly won’t be the last. This was booked for my birthday and we had a brilliant time making use of the fantastic facilities. We particularly enjoyed the pool table and cinema room! Dan and Laura were extremely helpful and could not have done more to accommodate us during our stay. Even down to the thoughtful welcome gifts. The local area is great too, we went to the lion hotel for champagne breakfast which I would recommend. Would love to stay here again, thanks very much for a brilliant getaway!

My mum and I came to stay in one of Corinne’s cabins to relax and recharge. This was absolutely the perfect place to do this. The cabin was wonderful - snug, clean and well kitted out - but the hot tub was the most delightful addition. To lie there looking out at the beautiful horses and countryside in the midst of Storm Jorge was certainly something we won’t forget for a long time. Although we did not meet Corinne, she was a great host. Check in was seamless and there were some lovely welcome goodies. We hope to make this an annual thing!!

A lovely wooden lodge, with a fabulous hot tub. A great place to get away from a busy life. Very quiet location, but only a 10-15 minute walk to the local pub & not far to drive to Matlock & the Peak District. Excellent host too. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful cosy cabin, in a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. The hot tub did not disappoint, even in the slightly miserable weather. Corrine was very quick and helpful with all her responses with queries prior to booking. And has handy knowledge of local attractions, takeaways and taxis in case this should be needed. Everything was great, no complaints. Three lovely nights in the love shack.

The cabin was great, very warm on a cold, wet weekend. Cabin is on a working farm as mentioned with a great view and super quiet. Pub down the road is fabulous, must try. You 100% need a car to get around. All in all can’t fault it.
