One of two beautifully designed underground houses nestled into the hillside, this unique retreat boasts sweeping, uninterrupted views across the stunning Banwy Valley. Ideal for a couples’ escape or a small family getaway, Mountain View offers front-row seats to some of Mid Wales' most most iconic landmarks.

The Small Roundhouse .. relax in nature

The roundhouse is a beautifully crafted, cosy hideaway with simple, basic comforts. You sleep under a thick thatch roof on a comfortable double bed with storage drawers beneath, there's a small wood fired earth oven - fireplace for the colder months, there's a reading light and an electrical socket. It's small and cosy inside and full of character. You'll hear the sound of a trickling stream beneath the balcony, the soft hooting of owls in the night and the birdsong in the thickets about you.

Tanybryn, a secret almost forgotten 17thC cottage.

this 17th C Welsh cottage has all its original beams and willow chimney. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge and dining room. The cottage is non smoking. The cottage does have tv reception using a fire stick and a selection of DVDs . There are swings in the woods and lots of outdoor toys to play with in the toy box. All wooden structures are used at your own risk, as they may be slippery when wet. The aim at tanybryn is to take you back to a time when people enjoyed the outdoors.

You Mam Mawr Eco Retreat Center

Ty Mam Mawr off grid eco retreat centre nestles in Cynwyd Forest high in the Berwyn Mountains of North Wales and is a fantastic venue for intimate events, workshops and residential retreats. Centred around a magnificent straw bale roundhouse (for 10 yogis or 25 seated) , accommodation is provided in two gorgeous yurts. There's a fully equipped kitchen in the log cabin with a small dining area plus a shower room/toilet and another smaller log cabin kitchenette with a compost loo and shower.

This turf covered cabin is a blend of Viking longhouse and underground hobbit hideaway. It's in a beautiful spot in our orchard between the mountains and the sea on our small permaculture farm. Experience camping fire cooking, and clear starlit skies, whilst having a comfy bed, a kitchen, hot water, shower compost toilet and a wood burning stove to cosy round if it gets cold. All on our sustainable ecological farm which has lakes, woodlands and animals to find and explore.
