All the stuff of the family was still in the house on the tables and in the kitchen. The dirty clothes were still everywhere. Good place to spend the night, but not to stay there for a longer time.

We stayed in the cabin for only one night, which was a shame because the area is beautiful! Odd met us on arrival to explain where to get water from etc and even drove us into vikersund so we could climb up the ski jump there. The house was really clean and accurately described. Great host!

The cabin is very difficult for those unfamiliar to find. The owner is very friendly and gave us his front door key so we could use the shower and the toilet there.

Nice cabin, very low key but also very complete. Nice space to sit outside, both in good and bad weather. Beautiful view, clean and very quiet. Lots of mosquitos though ;) No shower, but Odd offered his shower because we were staying over for a few days. Running water isn't in the cabin but outside, facilities in the kitchen are very complete. Dry toilet is in the small shed attached to the cabin, just fine that way. Odd was a very good host, very kind and welcoming.

This is a large, clean cottage by the water with nice outdoor seating areas. It was a bit tricky to find - Odd does send through GPS coordinates but the roads leading there are not available on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or Apple maps (once you come off the highway, keep heading down the hill and across the train tracks, the small road is to the left shortly after). The sofa beds were made up when we arrived and were comfortable to sleep on. The living room is really well equipped also. The toilet is on the side of the house and is a dry toilet. There is no running water inside the house, this needs to be filled into canisters from the tap outside, so there is also no shower (there is a solar camping shower you could set up outside if it's warm enough). There is no washer at the cottage, this may be an error in the description. Nice for our short stop on the way back to Sweden!

The accommodation was in Odd Øystein their own home. Because there was little known in the cabin. Big house. The toilet was very polluted because of the lime otherwise just fine.

I stayed here together with three friends. We had an amazing time. Andreas was an excellent and professional host. Everything went smoothly during our stay and it was very easy to check-in. The cabin looks exactly as shown in the pictures. Very clean and cozy. Communications with Andreas was also great prior our arrival and that made for an easy check in. We had a fantastic stay at Andreas's place. The cabin wood was lovely and cosy and the views were incredible! This place has a perfect lake view. Great contact with Andreas! If you like nature and calmness, the place is perfect. The shops 10 min from the place. In the cabin - anything what you need. We would recommend this place to everyone!

It was the best weekend in my life! Amazing, beautiful, magical, just perfect! The hike to the cabin took us about 2.5h (just because we didn't know the path and stopped a lot), it was much faster on the way back. The nature in this area is breathtaking, we enjoyed every step of the way. The fresh air, birds singing around us, the beautiful lake and the pretty little cabin on the top of the hill. The cabin itself is super sweet and cozy. And the view from the top - incredible! We spent the day laying in the sun and just taking in all the freshness and power of the nature. There is something magical about this place indeed - the time stops and you just suddenly feel happy without no apparent reason. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. Everything is simple and uncomplicated. You can get water from the pump (it tastes great!), light a fire in the owen to keep you warm and cozy and read a book outside on the wooden bench. Only thing I would advise, is to take your own sleeping bag with you! And don't forget to leave the cabin even cleaner than how you found it (we felt that previous guests skipped that part of the deal :) ). Havard was very welcoming and helpful. We found his house easily and the trail uphill started some 200 m from his house (on the left side of those two multistory buildings that are opposite of the football field). Thank you, Havard! We had a fantastic time at the cabin! We had stayed here once before, and this time was just as wonderful as the last. It was easy to communicate with Håvard before and during the visit, and we would gladly recommend staying here to anyone!

We can only add to the rest of the reviews: this place is MAGICAL. We had an incredible time in nature, making walks, cooking on the fire stove, chopping wood, taking a shower next to the water pump..coming closer to ourselves and each other. We are no trained hikers, coming from the low Netherlands, but the walk up to the cabin was very doable, though it took us about 2h. Thank you Havard for this amazing place and thank you mother earth :)

The Klunken cabin is a wonderfull place. We went there with our kids and they had a wonderfull time. Go do this with your family. Even though it's primitive you will truly enjoy it!

a treasure hunt !

The cabin was perfect. It's on a little hill surrounded by forest, overlooking a lake. It's approx 90 minutes walk from the town so it is a wonderful place to escape! It is very basic inside but the wood burning stove is perfect for cooking/heating and using candles at night makes it feel more like an adventure. If your looking for a get away that's a little different from the usual apartments then this is a wonderful place to stay.

This charming cabin is idyllically situated above the serene Lake Skapertjen. We enjoyed a beautiful two night stay in balmy July. Harvard is a convivial and well equipped host. To avoid a lengthy mountain detour I would recommend renting the GPS on offer - though local ramblers are kind enough to point you in the right direction. Think Severance meets Moonrise Kingdom.

The cabin of Frank is really a nice place to relax on. The location by the water, the pleasant interior and existence without the internet was delightful. It was easy to find your way to the cabin, which looks a bit worn out, but that have a charming interior. It's obvious that they've spent plenty of time on creating a pleasant atmosphere inside which stands to the environment. We had a terrific, both in sun and rain. Certainly a place to recommend!

Vi takker for en fantastisk helg på denne fint beliggende hytta. Sol og kos på dagtid og leirbål ved vannet på kvelden. Sjarmerende ineriør og vel utstyt. Vi har veldig lyst til å komme tilbake når det blir varmere i vannet. Frank var fin og lett å kommunisere med og det sto til og med en koselig velkomst beskjed med en flaske vin ved ankomst.

Alexsandra was very nice welcoming in connection with the agreement and the time of arrival. Our driver who lived in the apartment was very pleased with the condition of the apartment and contents. The apartment was on the second floor and our driver expressed that there was no problem and that it was a quiet and peaceful area. We lost by later missions in the region to try to control the same apartment.

It was a perfect stay at Ole's apartment. All is renovated and has a modern look. It was very cleaned and you can find all you need in the apartment. Ole is a really good host. He helped us with all our questions and gave us tips for our Oslo trip. The apartment is in the near of a train station. It takes about 15 min on the way to Oslo. Thanks for all Ole. We felt like home and will come back.

She is thoughtful and anticipates her guests needs and efficient in meeting those needs. Connecting, transportation, food, laundry, sleeping, and positive ambiance all contributed to a great stay! Nina is very enthusiastic reception. She took us in the subway station, next day we sent to the subway station. Subway about 30 minutes to reach downtown look. House in a very quiet place, you can have a great night's sleep.

This is the best place you can ever have. Gro is an amazing person. We came lare in the middle of the night, she waited for us until we arrived, and welcomed us. The place is very clean. We had an amazing short-time stay. Every thing was more than our expectation.

Gro is a fantastic and happy man that sparkles with energy, you feel at home at once! The bed is heaven, the room is very nice and a private bathroom are clean luxury. Guided walks by the sea and various shops and train station just around the corner. Recommended!!!
