Quiet location, but close to town, hospitable and discreet hosts.

Nice and roomy, quite outdated but everything works, hosts were nice, got some bread etc for me. its better than a travelodge because of ease of access to town ect and my opinion is its fine for a short stay, i wouldnt say a great if you were staying for days or had kids etc. if it was updated a bit and had its own seperate door straight to outside and its own entrance would be great.

Clean and tidy accommodation in a quite area, right on the park and close to town. Gill was very nice.

Food in fridge and cupboards so no shopping needed first night.

It is a very nice accommodation and relaxing atmosphere. Great landlords. We loved the area too. Perfect weekend away. We went with 2 small children and it worked well. Highly recommend.

It was a great place to stay...

It has been my second experience in the same family and in the same place. I'm looking forward to going home. I felt the family and the town is perfect for everything. You can walk everywhere but at the same time is very well connected with public service with the rest of the country. the hosts are lovely and make you very comfortable stay. my even sent me the most economical way to get from Bristol Airport. It is the best family with whom I have shared home and look forward to returning

Exactly as described - lovely studio annex to their house. Gill & her husband were very welcoming. The place was all we needed - everything to make our short stay great including good internet, fully equipped kitchen & comfy bed. Excellent location for seeing our friends in Taunton. Booked a very last minute stay in Glastonbury, having visited nearby and decided to stay the night. Looked up local rooms and Cherry's place was first on the list, literally round the corner and great price for 2 of us. We where looking online at 6:30pm and had booked by 6:45pm. Cherry was out when we booked & we where going for a meal so agreed to meet after. Cherry gave us directions & came out to meet us then showed us to our room which had a double bed and not much else, not that we needed anything. The bedding seemed clean and the bed felt comfortable. We left within minutes to continue enjoy Glastonburys nightlife but upon our return noticed our room had a very strange odour! This wasn't incense or burning essential oils smell, something we are both very used too, this was definitely an unpleasant smell. To the point it was making my Husband gag! The smell was only in the bedroom. Thankfully there was some Lavender Essential oil in the bathroom so we doused some tissues and placed them on the pillows. The bedding was clean and bed comfortable, so the smell was not coming from them, & there wasn't much else in the room. We both slept very fitfully, despite the lavender, as the smell in the room was not dissipating, even with the 2 windows open all night. So much so we woke very early and had left the house by 8am as my husband couldn't be in my the room without retching. I know Cherry has had many positive reviews from people staying in her single room, she mentioned we where the first to be staying in the double room and possible as we booked at such notice she didn't get an opportunity to fully clean or air the room.

We had an amazing time at Cherry's place ! Thanks again for such a great stay and for being so flexible on arrival and departure times ! Will definately be back for a spontaneous musical and creative evening !

Cherry is a joyful lady! The room is big, nicely decorated and feels really comfortable, the bed is amazing for a good night sleep!

She took us by car in stormy weather, next day took us by car to school, breakfast was good and hot, we had a very cosy bedroom with our private bathroom,the bed was comfortable and we slept very well. It is a lovely comfy bedroom for guest, and during my stay everything a tourist needs are there: all kinds of tea, various maps and booklets, homemade breakfast...Frances is such a nice host and I definitely recommend this fantastic place. Thanks a lot for making me feel at home!

Frances, our host was really welcoming. We had a wedding to attend and she was really flexible about us getting ready to go in the afternoon. The room was nicely decorated and there was great attention to detail in providing different coffees, teas and fresh milk. Frances's breakfast were excellent. We would highly recommend this for a weekend stay or longer!

I've been an airbnb host for 18 months but this was my first time at the other end! Frances was so lovely, helpful and friendly she made it a joy. She even let me leave my new bike in the lounge. I had my own bathroom which was fantastic and very handy. Breakfast was also ace with the tastiest poached eggs ever. It was also extremely good value. 5 stars from me!

Jill and Simon's place is fantastic! Very secluded but that's not a bad thing at all. But also within easy driving distance of Exmoor and many other AONB areas. Gorgeous apartment, had everything we needed and more and the most comfy bed ever! Plus wonderful animals and warm and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended!

The apartment has everything you need to feel like home. It is a place whit plenty natural light, all the window exterior, quiet,.. We were the first to book that beautiful place and everything was new. Jill and his partner were very kind with us.

This is an excellent apartment in the end of a barn. It has been beautifully designed, with comfortable, tasteful furniture and fittings. Plenty of cushions, good quality bedlinen, pillows and duvets. There are ample towels and a superb shower. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a good meal, with a dishwasher to do the washing up afterwards. There is even a large flask for taking on picnics. Jill and Simon supplied us with some helpful provisions -bread, milk, butter, cheese, fruit, chocolate biscuits and a lovely bottle of Perry. We were not expecting this, and it added a really nice touch to our stay. It also meant we didn't need to dash straight to the shops. It is situated on a working farm/equestrian centre, and we enjoyed seeing the horses and peacocks about the place. Jill and Simon were very welcoming and friendly, but also allowed us our privacy. All in all I would highly recommend a stay in this apartment.

This is such a lovely place - absolutely immaculate, quiet and tastefully done with a well-stocked kitchen too. Full of little personal touches which we really appreciated. We really enjoyed the tranquillity, the peacocks, the lovely horses, ponies and donkey - and being in such a peaceful and relaxing environment. Thank you Jill and Simon for a lovely stay and really hope next time we can stay longer.

Lovely couple and very helpful - the room was perfect with a cosy lounge area to chill in and great double room with brand new ensuite . Nice touches like the home baked bread and tea and coffee facilities provided. Thank you we will be returning!

Angela and her husband were very welcoming, and so was their dog after some initial skepticism. The village is beautiful and very well-located for those wanting to go see the coast as well as explore beautiful Somerset and Dorset. There was a nice breakfast in the fridge and the place was clean, tidy and very pleasant. I would strongly recommend Angela's place if you are in the neighbourhood!

My daughter and I had the most lovely stay. Joy introduced us to the alpaca family and they were gorgeous and also perfect hosts. The setting was perfect. The studio was exactly what we'd hoped for. It was clean , pretty and had everything we needed .Joy gave us the right mix of privacy with hospitality , happy to help but never in our space. Breakfast was tasty and fresh . We visited Glastonbury , picked raspberries and spent time in the caves at cheddar . We had a great meal at a local pub recommended by Joy - ring of bells .All in all a wonderful few days . We really loved this place. The studio was even nicer than we thought it would be, big, and surprisingly warm for a big place in some pretty cold weather. A lovely space. Joy was very helpful, sending me details of local walks before we arrived and letting us check-in early. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed meeting the alpacas and learning all about them. We're already planning our return - great place and a great host - thanks Joy!

Joy and her partner were wonderful. The studio is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and it has all the amenities one may need (including fast internet). We really loved the alpacas and chickens! Breakfast was also great. Joy was so accommodating and polite when our 8yr old wanted to see the alpacas :-) We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

Really lovely experience staying in Kate's cottage for the weekend with a friendly welcome and delicious breakfast. The room is comfy and location was super for exploring the Quantock hills and nearby beaches and towns by car. Many thanks to Kate for being such a great host.

Communication was great and Kate was very patient and accommodating with our change of arrival times. When we finally got there she was very welcoming and even gave up her private carport so we could park our large vehicle. The room on the ad was taken by other guests (who were away) so we got a different room, perhaps of a slightly lower standard but we got a good night sleep nevertheless. The shared bathroom is exactly as the photos show with a good over the bath shower. Breakfast was great and the pugs are sweet (if you like dogs!). The proximity to the M5 is convenient but you can hear the traffic from the bedroom. A local pub was suggested for dinner but sadly they were fully booked so book ahead.

Katie was really welcoming and her 3 dogs are lovely and friendly. Lovely clean private room and handy for the M5.

This fabulous cottage is every bit as nice as the pictures - and more! What a wonderful welcome from lovely Kate and her two devoted pug dogs. Kate took time to show us the house and magical garden with wind chimes, fire pits and her stained glass studio. The room is basic but comfortable with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. All the rooms, even the shared bathroom, bear the hallmark of her artistic flair - fairy lights bedeck the winding spiral stair (perhaps not ideal if you have mobility issues). The breakfast was absolutely delicious with slices of mango, yoghurt and everything we asked for provided, seated in her sunny conservatory. Kate is fascinating to talk to and very friendly. I would really strongly recommend this lovely home to anyone who loves something a little different. Glastonbury is only a short drive away and the M5 very convenient for a host of locations. We hope to return!

We stayed with Kate for a night. We liked her and the 2 dogs as soon as we entered her house. She was friendly, warm and genuine and her two dogs are very well behaved. Both Kate and her partner were excellent host- very polite, interesting and honest couple. We were welcomed to make our own tea / coffee as soon as we got there and that made us feel very at ease. Kate showed us her work studio at the bottom of the garden where she makes stained glass panels. She explained how she makes these wonder and artistic panels - only because we were interested in it - a very interesting , intelligent and talented person. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and had everything you needed. Although bathroom is supposed to be a shared one but it felt as if we were the only people using it. Breakfast was healthy , fresh fruits yogurts, porridge, toast jams etc. and plenty of it along with friendly and informative chat with Kate and her partner. What a lovely, welcoming, homely place to stay. Kate made us both feel very welcome, and was really chatty and friendly. We instantly felt at home and that made a real difference. Her place is exactly as described. The room was bright and clean and very comfy. Lots of storage and the bathroom also clean and airy. Breakfast was amazing! Much better than we have had anywhere else. Kate was a brilliant host and was really attentive and helped us with directions. She responded to our emails quickly and made our stay just brilliant. Location was fine - perfect for access to the pier, overall we couldn't fault the accommodation, it's homely it's clean it's light it's colourful the attention to detail was impressive,it was also cool in the front room during the 30oc heat. A truly beautiful little cottage, bursting with charm. It's location is perfect, allowing you to lay in bed listening to the waves and only a few steps away from the pubs and restaurants. Cathy is the perfect host, unobtrusive yet available to smooth any little bumps in the road you may encounter. On arrival our cottage had tea,coffee, milk and a cake and fresh fruit. You really couldn't hope for better. We will certainly return.

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. It's in a fantastic location, literally steps away from the local pubs and shops. The cottage is quaint and decorated in true seaside style. It was perfectly suitable in size my husband, myself and our pug. The bed in particular is very comfortable and generally the cottage has all the amenities you could need for a weekend away. Very much like a home from home. It's such a shame that our pug Douglas didn't get to meet your pug Bea! I would definitely recommend the cottage if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away. The locals were also all very welcoming which was lovely!

Me and my partner wanted to escape hectic London life for a New Years break and we couldn't have found anywhere more perfect! The cottage was cosy, quaint and the perfect size for us both. It backs onto the harbour but come out of the front door and you have a few lovely pubs to choose from and plenty of places for cake! Despite being almost next door and opposite the pubs, we had peaceful and undisturbed sleeps. Our first experience of air b n b and we absolutely loved Nick and Cathy's place!

This is a fabulous little cottage right by the coast in a charming little village. Nick & Cathy are lovely & very accommodating with the fact we arrived some 6 hours later than planned after I got stuck at work. Stay here if you want to escape the world!

Check in was very flexible and Flore gave us tea and coffee on arrival in our room. The room is very comfortable with a lovely ensuite the shower was great. Safe street car parking available at all times and the house is situated on Bleadon Hill which is a desirable area for W-S-M. Breakfast was lovely we were left in the kitchen to help ourselves to all the facilities. Fantastic value.

Me and my partner spent the weekend at Diana's cottage. It was honestly the perfect place for a relaxing little getaway. The cottage is stunning! The Log burner was a lovely touch in the evening. Everything is top quality the bathroom was beautiful! Diana even provided bubble bath etc. I have to mention the breakfast- as exceeded expectations! So delicious! We felt truly spoilt! Thank you Diana also for the gift of their own free range goose eggs! Diana gave us lots of suggestions for the couple of days we were there. The local pub is only a 10 min walk away too! I would recommend the cottage 100%. I wish we could of stayed longer. We both left feeling well and truly relaxed! Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We'd love to come back.

Diana greeted us at the gate with energy, enthusiasm and a huge smile! The cottage, facilities and breakfast were all faultless. The kids loved the mezzanine sleeping arrangements. Diana and the team were hugely attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The communication throughout was so clear and helpful. Thank you! We'll be back.

Diana's cottage is wonderful, very well maintained and Super lovely. We all absolutely love it the moment we arrived at hatch green. The rooms are as per the photos, very clean, the room up in the roof turned out to be slightly challenging for our teenagers to climb up and down to but they still enjoyed it nonetheless. The bathroom is huge with a beautiful big tub unfortunately we didn't have the time to use it. The shower is big and spacious and all amenities are provided for. Fluffy towels and robes too. The living room has nice seats with many books around and some board games. Now, the fav part of our stay was Diana's breakfast! Diana took order of our breakfast when we arrived. Omg! Everything was well prepared and presented. The eggs were so perfectly done. There were berries & yoghurt, bacon and sausages and they were absolutely delicious. I never had a black pudding before and I tried it at Diana's and love it! There were nothing to complain about Diana's place. We will definitely come back one day. Diana is the perfect hostess.

Our first Airbnb experience and we were not disappointed, we only wished we'd had the opportunity to stay longer. The property itself is wonderful, a cosy living room with log burner and sofas, a separate bedroom overlooking the patio and my favourite room, the bathroom, which with its free standing bathtub and walk-in shower, would not look out of place in a 5 star hotel! Diana was a great host offering good communication prior to the stay, spot on directions to get to the property and organising a table for us in the village pub for dinner. Our stay was rounded off with a fabulous farmhouse breakfast which was brought to us on day of departure. Highly recommended!

Diana was a fantastic host and the property is wonderful. It is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and we would have loved to have stayed longer. Diana could not do more to make you feel welcome and went out of her way to make our stay special. We cannot wait to return and to stay here again. The perfect pit stop to brake up our long journey down to Cornwall. Easy parking, our own private room, breakfast, good facilities (including crockery and a fridge) and a comfy bed. The very pretty pub across the road was an added bonus to unwind in after our drive. Alison was great at communicating and was very friendly (as were her two dogs when I went to hand the key back).

The house itself is beautiful and surrounded by lovely countryside as far as the eye can see, so it was a lovely alternative to standard premier inn or travelodge! Our stay with Janet was fantastic, everyone was welcoming and warm and I instantly felt relaxed. Janet's home is beautiful, airy and spacious and is set in a rural quiet location, surrounded by stunning views. As we were busy with a family event we didn't have time to sit in the gardens or enjoy the nearby walks. We did however enjoy a good nights sleep and breakfast; I have never seen so many delicious choices on a breakfast table! We are so glad we found this little gem!

Shepton Mallet was a great location for exploring the Mendip Hills, Wells and surrounding areas. Ruth's apartment is much more spacious than we expected and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The courtyard garden outside was an added bonus to while away the evening!
