Places to stay in Powerscourt Estate
Please note: This apartment has a private entrance, but it also connects to the main house and although you have your own microwave and kettle, the kitchen facilities are shared with the hosts. One night bookings are most welcome if placed within three weeks of arrival. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, What makes our place unique is the fantastic location. We are in a completely rural setting with fantastic scenery yet only a 50 mn. journey to Dublin, so you can easily experience both the city and and the rural world. We are within walking distance of a small village which has a good restaurant and a traditional pub. There are great walks and lots of places to visit locally. From the village you can get to the Wicklow Hills and Bray (a lovely seaside town with traditional pubs & restaurants). A small theatre and a leisure centre plus a beautiful promenade. Dublin is accessible by bus alsothe LUAS & DART. There are direct bus links to Bray, Dublin, Wicklow Town and Glendalough as well as Dublin Airport and Rosslare Seaport. We are 12 minutes walk from this stop. Alternatively, you can reach the Dublin centre in a 35 minutes drive and the Dublin Airport in also a 35 minutes drive. Your room is lovely with an ensuite shower room and an informal seating area adjoined. You have your own entrance and a microwave and kettle - for any other cooking you can use our kitchen. We are just a door away and will always be happy to help. The accommodation is suitable for two people or a small family. It is an ideal location to get away from it all. When your batteries are recharged there are, amongst other things, beautiful walks, golf, gardens to visit, and a visit to Dublin to enjoy. *** Why not avail of our special offer 2 nights B&B and a home cooked dinner for €140!** Looking forward to your visit. Maura
  • We absolutely loved our stay at this house :) The location is quiet and peaceful, Maura's place is ideal for people who want to get more in touch with the surrounding nature and for people who are seeking for a break from the busy routine of a city. The house is well facilitated and comfortable, has a well equipped kitchen, a comfy bedroom with a double bed and a nice bathroom with a shower. The house provides a rich bookshelf, good variety of boardgames and movies and thus a great source of relax :) Maura and Sean provided an excellent level of hospitality, they were very welcoming and helpful, they also gave us invaluable tips how to get around. They are very very good and experienced hosts and they have two lovely dogs as well, who are eager to get to know you :) Me and my fiance James are delighted that we chose this place. Tips: The house has a self checkin with a lockbox outside. In case you are commuting with bus, Dublin Bus 45a and Wexford Bus 740 takes you to Kilmacanogue (as of 28.10.'19) and it is about 10-15min walk to get to the house. Have a flashlight with you as the streets are dark at night.

  • Place exactly like the pictures describe it. The hosts are really nice.

  • Cozy apartment, privet bath and bedroom. Very doog breakfast. Most importantly, the hosts are super nice, very welcoming. We set to eat breakfast together and talk about 1 hour and a half. Will very much recommend to stay there.

  • Maura & Sean (with their 2 beautiful doggos) were extremely welcoming and friendly. They were great with local advice and the place was exactly what I was looking for

    Cheryl2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Maura and Sean are very kind and helpful hosts and if someone is looking for a nice and quiet place it is a good choice. It isn’t very close to Dublin but it is accessible by bus and even easier if you rent a car, so it is absolutely worth it for that price. We even took advantage to have a traditional Irish dinner with them and it was brilliant. Once again big Thank you to Maura and Sean for being so kind and helped us to explore Dublin.

    Preslav2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for some peace and quiet on a farm in the countryside, yet just a short drive to Bray, then this is it. It’s a perfect place for a solo or a couple, with a big comfy double bed, modern walk-in shower, and a generous breakfast, courtesy of host Maura. It was so quiet there and I slept like a log every night - something I don’t often get to do in town apartments, but think is an essential requirement. Maura was a friendly and generous host who made sure I had everything I needed for my stay, and also recommended local places to eat, drink or visit. I could easily and happily stayed for a few more days as I only scratched the surface of things to do in the area. Thank you for hosting.

    Mark2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We spent one night at Maura and were overall very satisfied. By a late flight we arrived at 1 o'clock at night, which was however no problem with the check-in with key box. The rooms were accessed via a separate entrance, were very nice and clean. Private bathroom, as well as a lounge including a small breakfast we really liked.

    Fabian2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here! Maura and Sean were great hosts and provided us with tips what to do and were very friendly. We felt very welcome! Breakfast and dinner were very good too! If we‘re ever in Ireland again we would really like to stay with them again! Thanks for everything!

  • Anne-Marie was a wonderful host. I’ve stayed in many air Bnbs before and this was by far one of my favourites. A perfect spot for a night or twos rest in a homey environment

  • Anne-Marie was absolutely wonderful! She was very kind, hospitable, and really was helpful in showing us how to get around Ireland with public transport. I couldn’t have asked for a better host than her! Her place was very lovely, and made us feel at home when we could come back for the day from exploring the country. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that is visiting Ireland. Another plus side to this spot is that it is in a very beautiful location, and close to public transportation. Thank you again Anne Marie for being so lovely!

  • Anne is very easy to communicate and gives us completely privacy. The apt is not that big but has everything you need including the washing machine. The heat works so good. And the apt is very close to the beach within the walking distance.

Bray itself is a really nice place for a weekend, and this house is situated in a quiet area just a couple of minutes far from the beach and restaurants. • We were greeted warmly by Anne and had 2 beautiful rooms to ourselves, which gave it an apartment-like feel. The rooms were lovingly decorated and sparkling clean. The bathroom is very modern and has an amazing large shower with lots of hot water and great pressure. If you get cold at night you will find an extra radiator and heated blanket. While breakfast was initially not included, Anne still spoiled us with her delicious homemade jam. Coffee and tea was also available, which we enjoyed with beautiful mountain views.

We live in a quiet 5 bedded bungalow, myself and my son. I work part time as a Nurse/Psychotherapist/ Nutrition coach and Teacher - Depends what day - what hat I wear!! My son Matthew is 18 years old and loves music. The cottage is situated in my garden and is a warm and comfortable space to get way from it all! It consists of a sleeping area for 2 - 3 people, small kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has everything needed to cook with small fridge and washing machine and dryer. The Cottage also has its own separate entrance from the my home so you can be as independent as you would like!

It's a hugely popular spot year-round for visitors and locals alike. Racing enthusiasts are only a 15 minute drive from Leopardstown Racecourse.
  • Very convenient to Johnny Foxes, this accommodation offers great amenities and hospitality. A lovely range of items for continental breakfast which we could prepare in our own kitchenette. Also a luxurious shower!

Our off-grid Tiny House is nestled in amongst a grove of pine trees in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. With an airy loft bed space, large kitchen and complete tiny bathroom, our cute little cottage in the country is the perfect place to relax. 45 min drive into the heart of Dublin City or short train ride. Close to lots of walking trails. Popular cycling route. 5 min drive from town.
Tiny House living means a more simple way of living, however walking into the space it feels much bigger than expected. The cosy bedroom loft has a roof window so you can watch the stars at night or the birds and clouds float passed during the day. Simply slide the ladder across the rail to climb up into the loft sleeping space! A small fridge, oven, stove and everything else you need to make a big feast, in a small house! Our Tiny House is very well insulated and has gas fire to keep you cosy in the Winter. The house is fully off grid and runs on solar electricity and rain fall tank water (we recommend to bring your own drinking water), compost toilet, gas heating and cooking. NOTE: Because this is an off-grid house there is a chance one of the systems may not work (e.g. if there has not been sun for a long time the solar battery will have no power). The house is equipped with a trouble-shooting guide to assist if this is the case. It is all part of the fun of the off-grid experience!
The Wicklow Mountains are beautiful with lots of walking trails and natural sites. The Lane our tiny house is on is a beautiful walk on its own, and we have a lovely view of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a very peaceful area with lots of birds and trees. 5 min drive to Newtown MountKennedy, a small town with a Dunnes Store supermarket and restaurants. 10 min walk to Djouce Golf Club 17 min drive to Guinness Lake 24 min drive to Glendalough 15 min drive to the ocean (Greystones) 40 min drive into Dublin City or a short train ride from Greystones Station
  • The place is unbelievable. It's cozy unconnected and all you need to enjoy a great time on the calm Wicklow. Evething around and perfect.. the communication was good with the owners and the staff.

    Andres2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is very cozy and comfortable. U got everything u need here and there are so many attractions to see. We definitely want to come back and stay longer.

    Marco2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house is perfect for discovering Ireland. In addition to charming accommodation, walking and cycling are close by, as are Dublin's pubs. I recommend !

  • Great place, full of love. One of the most special Airbnb's ever!!

    Michel2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the lovely tiny house und the beautiful natural surrounding!

    Adina2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home is beautiful, scenic, and charming, with more than enough amenities to make an off-grid experience surpass most other plugged-in homes. The home is remote yet ideally located within the Wicklow mountains, an easy distance from neighboring towns and hikes. The care which the owners put into its design, construction, and maintenance is apparent in every detail. We would highly recommend this space to anyone interested in staying in Wicklow!

    Henry2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s place is a little piece of calm: a great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. It is beautiful up in the mountains where the tiny house is! The tiny house is really cosy and welcoming. It has thoughtful little touches and decor that make you feel at home. It is well equipped and there is lots of information on local things to do (which is great when you’re there to do a bit of hiking/sightseeing). We would definitely come back!

    Scott2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was always available, if you had questions and knew everything a quick answer! The cottage itself was really cute and we felt like in our own little cottage Sweden! For people who want to experience a first Tiny House experience (like us), "The Rocks" is really recommended!

Pleasant single rooms in a quiet secluded estate in cul de dac in Bray co wicklow. You will stay in a family home near Bray centre with many bars and restaurants all walking distance. You might like to visit our local theatre and see a good play or listen to great live music in the many pubs in the town .the craic can be mighty.enjoy
Rooms are in a great seaside town in Bray and near the wicklow mountains You might like to climb the sugarloaf mountain or walk the cliff walk from Bray to greystones don't forget your walking boots
Bray is a lovely seaside town about an hour away by bus from Dublin or 30 minutes on the dart and one hour from wexford by train
  • Pat and Ann are the warmest, most wonderful hosts. They became friends the week I was there. I learned a lot about Ireland from them. Bray was my favorite place in Ireland. Beautiful hikes, good food, easy bus transport, great charity shops. Mostly, I enjoyed spending time with Ann and Pat.

    Wendy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick and Anne are great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel at home for our long stay. The location is great, its proximity to public transit made going into Bray and Dublin easy and painless. I’m very glad to have stayed here!

    Madison2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Patrick's place was great! It was in a very quiet neighborhood, it was very nice to take a walk in the morning to go to the seafront. When he can, Patrick offered himself to take me to the seafront by car. All his family was very kind. Really nothing bad to say, I also had breakfast in the morning. I couldn't ask for nothing more. :)

    Alessio2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bray is an attractive seaside town with excellent train and bus connections to Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Stillorgan. There are a great many small Shops, charity Shops and Cafes, and some decent Pubs, plus an excellent promenade along the Seafront. Patrick and Anne live a little way out of town, probably 15 minutes by foot, but the 145 bus goes through Bray and then on to Dublin, and normally arrives every 10 minutes, and the Bus Stop is about 200 hundred yards from Pat's front door, and there is also a local shop where necessities can be bought Patrick was always willing to offer the daily paper or a cup of tea, and tried to make me feel welcome, for a stay which lasted over 2 months and where we had really no problems. Anne organised everything else, I had access to a washing machine and the lounge, with a personal fridge and some space to keep anything which I bought to eat or drink. The bedroom was relatively small, but comfortable and equipped with a small computer table from which I could do some work when necessary All in all very good hosts and a very pleasant location

  • I couldn’t say and be more satisfied with the place. I was looking for a great place for a special moment, and was amazing! The motor home is incredible, bigger then it looks, really comfortable, super clean...and George is an amazing host and person, really careful with details and everything else. We definitely going back

    Bernardo2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • George and his wife will be some of the loveliest hosts you will ever encounter. They quickly fixed every problem we had and went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable in their lovely (motor)home. The camper van itself was also very nice. Very clean, has everything you'd expect a "normal" apartment or house to have, and is even bigger than it looks in the pictures. I can not recommend this place enough. It will surprise you in the best ways, especially if you've never lived in a motorhome before.

  • George’s place was just what we needed for a quick little getaway. Very easy to find, close to the n11 but it’s pin drop quiet with beautiful scenery. Safely tucked away with extremely comfortable recliners for relaxing on a quiet night in. Everything is there to prepare your meals, with a sizeable fridge, plenty of hot water, toasty heat and a very cosy bed.

  • Jane's cute little cabin was lovely. It was tidy, stylish and warm. Comfortable bed and lovely outside patio where we enjoyed a coffee and a cig while admiring the gorgeous views.. Despite the typical Irish weather in November we enjoyed the local area and nice pubs including the former home of Oscar Wilde and the very cool Harbour Bar both on the seafront. But also enjoyed nice cozy nights in. :) Would highly recommend.

A beautiful 4-bed house in a quiet estate outside Bray, Co.Wicklow. The children have moved out and there is a beautiful, spacious double bedroom available. It's a welcoming family house and we would love to welcome new people to our home and treat them like a family member.

Bray is the biggest town in County Wicklow. It is known as the Gateway to the Garden of Ireland and is the longest established seaside town in Ireland. It is only 19km (12 miles) south of Dublin and is reached by DART, Train, Bus or the N11 road. There is a safe beach of sand and shingle to walk on and there is a spacious esplanade. • Peter is an amazing host. Extremely kind. In this area you're able to relax. He has many good ideas about what so see and where to get. The area is a paradise for geocaching and Peter knows about the two most important in this area.

  • We had a lovely stay with Peter and Trish. They have a beautiful sparkling clean house just a mile from the Bray train station and sea front. Peter was very kind to pick us up and drop us to the train station at an odd hour due to bad weather. We had a good breakfast table laid out in the morning and we got some great local tips for walks and restaurants around the place. Dublin city is just 30 mins by train. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm cosy stay a little away from the hustle and bustle.

  • Peter and Trisha (his wife) are spectacular! Very hospitable and knowledgable of Bray and Dublin. Probably the whole island. They're happy to show you around and help. The bedroom is nice, with plenty of space to put down and up stuff. It's warm, and the bed is very warm. Breakfast is continental. Took me about ten minutes to walk into town. Would return any time. You can't get better than this.

    Adam2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Both Peter and his wife, Trish, are very kind, welcoming and keen on providing local tips. Peter gave me a ride to the start of the cliff walk and pointed out a few nice places in town, whereas Trish helped me plan our trip to Wicklow mountains. We've experienced some outstanding hospitality and felt like at home. The house itself is located in a quiet residential area. It's within a walking distance to the dart station and aircoach stops. The bedroom has a very comfy bed and all the necessities are provided. I wish my stay had been longer!

In lovely, quiet and safe area. Walking distance to the sea, mountains and astounding Bray Head, beautiful Powerscourt Estate with shopping centre, charming Enniskerry and Bray town centre. Bus to Dublin centre is just outside the estate (1 minute walk) and runs every 10 minutes. The room is small and cosy and located upstairs as part of a 4 bedded bungalow with its own little toilet ensuite - so its warm and private! There is a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities.
We live in a quiet 4 bedded bungalow, myself and my son, Matthew. I work part time as a Nurse/Psychotherapist/ Nutrition coach and Teacher - Depends what day, which hat I wear!! My son, Matthew is 18 years old and loves music. We have a very friendly little rescue dog Dumpy (called that by the guy who rescued him, because he was dumped out of a car!) along with a new addition to the family "Loo Loo" who is a tiny little pug/chihuahua, and of course also our affectionate cat Tuddie! The room is an attic conversion so it is small but has everything you need including a small fridge and coffee tea making facilities, private toilet and sink. Towels are provided and there are black out blinds on the velux windows.
Our house is located in a lovely green quiet up-scale safe neighbourhood. Our part of the country is called "The Garden of Ireland" and is very close to the Wicklow Mountain National Park in Glendalough. Close by is Kilruddery Gardens with 900 acres of beautiful countryside to enjoy and they have a lovely farmers market there every Saturday morning.

  • Very nice stay. Gabby is a very lovely person. The place is very close to the main highways, close to Dublin, not far away from the airport, close to the seashore and the restaurants. I stayed 10 days there and had no issues.

  • Great location with a bus stop around the corner

    Berch2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gabby is one of the most lovely people I’ve met in my life. She was flexible with my checkin when I had bus reroute issues. She communicated easily. Upon arrival, she and her husband chatted with me and made me a cup of coffee. The space was delightful and I had my own toilet area in the attic room. She left out pamphlets on the area and helped me decide what to do and where to eat. The bus stop was literally right around the corner from her house and took me directly to the Bray city centre. Walking in the area at night felt completely safe alone as well. I felt like I was at home with Gabby and her family. Next time I’m in Bray, I’m specifically looking for her place.

    Kendra2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gabby is one of the warmest people you'll meet - a lovely and welcoming host! I can't really comment on location as I got picked up and dropped off every day, so not sure about walking or taking public transport. The upstairs single room is lovely and bright and the sole use toilet was a particular bonus. The room was very quiet. Lovely touch to have an arm chair that I could sit and relax in too. As was having a fridge in the room, too. I would recommend Gabby without hesitation

Split Rock Cabin Built in 1958 and kept alive over time by previous owners and nearly left to ruin until now. I have restored this cabin to a very pleasant and warm space to stay and relax in. You will definitely leave feeling relaxed and chilled. The perfect getaway from the hustle of life. Deers, squirrels, lakes, rivers and mountains. All on your door with spectacular views. The Cabin is named after a giant rock deposited by a glacier just a couple of metres from cabin. Enjoy your stay.
You will not find an original cabin like this anywhere in Ireland. A chance to stay in a real wooden cabin that has withstood 62 years of weather and still survived. It's a magical place to spend time.
Located 2 miles from the Wicklow Way and 3 miles from Powerscourt Waterfall. Enniskerry Village and Powerscourt Gardens are 10 minutes drive. Glencree Reconciliation Centre is 2 kilometres away at the top of Glencree Valley with one of the best views in Wicklow. This former 19th Century British Army Barracks now has the Armoury Cafe & Gift Shop which sell local produce and crafts. Visit the Lourdes Grotto and the German War Cemetery where 135 German military servicemen and civilians are buried. Six were prisoners of war who died while interned in Ireland during the First World War. Others were victims of air and naval disasters of the Second World War. Crone Wood, Lough Tay (Guinness Lake) and Powerscourt Waterfall all only a few minutes away. Drive up the Military Road to the Guinness Lake, one of set locations for theTV series “Vikings” Kattegat village and the setting for the story of Ragnar Lothbrok, a legendary Norse hero, a mere farmer who rises up to become a fearless warrior and commander of the Viking tribes.
  • Hi there, Thank you very much for the nice stay. It was awesome to have this incredible view while having diner and breakfast or when we just opened our eyes in the morning after a peaceful sleep with the best white noise sound system ever - real rain drops. Eventhough we just stayed one night, we felt so relaxed afterwards. Don is very kind and gives cool recommendations for hikes. All the best

    Ben2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Don's cabin is absolutely beautiful and very close to Dublin. It is surrounded by the mystical lights and has an amazing view of the mountains. Even though in the countryside the fire keeps the cabin cozy and has all the amenities needed. Don was very approachable and helped with anything needed. with The constant sound of the river flowing it is the perfect location to get away for some peace and quiet. Will definitely be back Don. Thank you.

  • We spontaneous decided to spend some nights in Pat's guesthouse, which was no problem at all. The room was prepared - even before the planned time of arriving. Pat made us feel comfortable in the moment we entered the place. The nice details like the flexible breakfast and a huge bathroom made the stay even better. You share the place with other guests, which you don't have to meet if you don't want to. We can definitely recommend Pat's place to everyone who is happy with some personal interaction during the journey.

  • This was our last stop during a 3 week vacation, and Pat offered a very welcoming home focus to start unwinding. Home was spotlessly clean, bathroom was amazing.

  • A must-see if you're in the Wicklow Pat area, your house is immaculate and the breakfasts are perfect

  • Pat's place is cozy, clean and quiet and is located close to everything you might want to see in Bray. He gave us a lot of tips an recomandations what to do in Bray. The room was very nice and lovely and we had a great breakfast. We had a very nice time there. We definitely recommend this host :)

  • Wonderful place with an even more wonderful host. Firstly Pat instantly made us feel welcome with his great sense of humour and his genuine interest in getting to know us. He was there to welcome us when we first arrived and was always around to offer breakfast and tips on what to do with our day. The bedroom was clean and cosy, and the bathroom had a fantastic power shower. We met some other friendly guests who were also staying in the house at the same time and sharing a bathroom was never a problem. The house is located on a nice quiet street, and only a short walk away from the beach and the town centre. The main reason to stay here is for Pat, it was a real treat getting to stay with him. He had some top recommendations and a heart of gold. Thanks again Pat!

  • Great host, made to feel at home, great little touchs like bottled water in the room, easy to find from the seafront, ultra clean, breakfast plenty of choice

  • Par runs a great B&B in a suburban street with multiple rooms, loves to talk and entertain his guests and does a great spread for breakfast in the morning. Thank you!

    Geoff2019-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • I so enjoyed my stay with Pat. He was a terrific host, so nice a personable. The room was clean and comfortable. The living room has gas fireplace. It was nice to warm up after a chilly and rainy day of traveling. Pat also provides a light breakfast, which is so nice. Pat also was helpful with suggestions on the best way to travel between Bray and Dublin. He's warm and personable and easy to talk to. Bray is a fairly quiet town on the Irish Sea. It was nice to walk along the boardwalk. and there's places to eat within walking distance. I would recommend this Air B&B if you're traveling around southeast Ireland.

  • I've ordered this place in order to avoid the enormous price of the hotel Powerscourt nearby. Wasn't disappointed. I had a room and a private bathroom just for myself. Anne was really helpful, responded very promptly before my trip, when I asked about the way to reach the place. The bus stop is just 1-2 min walk from the front door, and I came directly from Bray (before that I took Aircoach 702 from Dublin airport to Bray). I needed to go to relatively remote area, so Anne offered a ride with her car, the other day she ordered a taxi, which was cheaper than Uber. The coziness, look and feel of the place is great, and you would not find that in any of the hotels, I can guarantee that :). I would definitely recommend the place.

    Mindaugas2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Anne-Marie is beyond sweet! I got lost and had to call her and she was so patient in giving directions and making sure I made it. She made breakfast in the morning and dropped me off in Enniskerry in the morning! She is a perfect picture of the Irish hospitality! :)

The location is terrific for visiting Brae and surrounding areas (10 minute walk to centre of Brae and public transport to Dublin ) Pat is a wonderful host - generous, warm and considerate of your every need. • Pat's house has a beautiful little garden, a delicious breakfast every day, very comfortable bathroom facilities, and the beds in the room are very comfortable. I think the best thing is that even if you get home late, Pat will spend more time. Make a cup of tea and chat with me. If you have friends, you will be very kind and ask them to come in for a cup of tea. It feels like being in your own home. It is very warm and makes me look forward to going home every day! My staying experience in Bray was awesome!Pat is a very nice and warm person,he always share lots of information about Ireland and he is very knowledgeable! The location is good, it's near the beach and the bars. The room is very comfortable you Can see the beautiful view from your window, also the bathroom is very spacious and I really enjoy the hot shower!Very recommended! ! !

This large sunny room has a comfortable kingsize bed, a wardrobe, a desk and a chest of drawers. There is access by public transport to both Dublin city and County Wicklow. My little house is on the southern edge of the Dublin metropolitan area, with access to public transport such as dart (suburban rail), luas (tram), Dublin bus, night bus, as well as a Bus Eireann bus to Wicklow town as well as the St. Kevin's bus to Glendalough. Do you want a quiet night's sleep with access to Dublin city?
The kitchen and bathroom will be shared with 1 other person.
Very quiet area. 20 mins walk from Killiney Beach and train station (38 mins to city, 7 mins to Bray by train) 12 mins walk from Tesco' s supermarket.
  • Dolly was very kind and very helpful in finding our way to her home!

    Deivis2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Helen made me feel welcome right away, and provided detailed guidelines to get to her cottage. I appreciated her quick response to my request, as well. She also gave me good local tips on how to get around the area, and made sure I had all I wanted. The room was very clean, bright, large, and spacious. It was among the largest rooms I've stayed in with airbnb. The double bed was very large and comfortable, too. The area is scenic, being near the sea, hills, beaches, and the Wicklow mountains aren't far away either; you can see the Three Rock and Sugarloaf Mountains well. There is great fresh air compared to the city. A holiday atmosphere makes you feel you want to stay around and explore, especially in the sunny weather, which I had all the time I was there. I doubly recommend a stay with Helen, I enjoyed her hospitality and sharing the house and location. I wished I had a longer stay, given how great value it was. There is a leisure center just one minute's walk away with a gym and pool. Enjoy.

  • We stayed with 3 guest for our business a week at Louise's place. We were welcomed with wine and chocolates and Louise gave us a tour through the apartment. The apartment is huge, the beds are comfy and the place is very clean. If you wish to have a good night sleep and prefer not to wake up early, use the second bedroom, as the main bedroom is just beneath the living room of the host. (This is also mentioned on the listing). The open fire place can not be used. Dublin is just 40 min drive outside rush hours. (after 8.45, during rush hours it can take up to 90 min.) The city centre is pretty good accessible by car or at 20 minutes walking distance. There is a very good Nepalese restaurant, the Mt Everest of Katmandu, offering vegetarian and vegan food. We had a lovely stay.

  • This apartment is beautiful, every small touch you can think of is there. There area could not be prettier, the cliff walk is amazing and it was freezing and raining the day we did it and even with the awful weather it was breathtaking and there were plenty of others doing the same walk! My daughter broke her foot before we came and she wasn’t going to be able to do the full walk ( though the boardwalk and a partial pathway that will give you a very pretty view are wheelchair or in her case scooter friendly), but she enjoyed the view and took the train to Greystones beach to meet us. To be honest we preferred the beach and harbor area in Bray to Greystones. We actually went to visit Howth, the cliff walk around the island is beautiful but very very long and bit difficult in the rain. The views and the seals were incredible, you can also see seals at the lighthouse if you don’t chose to hike 7 miles just so you know. It is also very convenient for both Dublin and Malahide castle. It was the perfect location. And the host is amazing we got lost and she immediately answered and helped us out, the apartment itself is filled with little touches the kettle for endless coffee and tea (some is provided for the first night and Tesco is only a short walk away and has all the good stuff we brought home a dozen boxes of tea because we can’t get the same brands in Spain!) and my boys just adored the toys and the backyard, it’s those small touches that really made our week wonderful.

  • Bray is a great place to holiday with easy access to Dublin and Wicklow. Louise's house is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It has lots of lovely touches. I think it would be a great house to bring children to because it has a very pretty garden. There is plenty of stuff to climb on and the rabbits run free during the day. There are lots of toys and games inside. Louise is on hand if you need any help. Restaurants and trains are in walking distance.

She had a lovely breakfast for us the morning we left and was super responsive all the time. We had a minor issue coming in the night we got there (couldn't get the key to work in the front door) and she was very quick to get us some assistance. Besides that, this was a fantastic stay.

    Mikhail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Berna was a lovely host and the place felt very cosy. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Dublin but also the area around the place.

  • Lovely place, spacious room and prompt communication by Berna.

    Linda2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Berna was the loveliest host, extremely hospitable, flexible and helpful. She gave me a lot of very good tips about the area and helped me with all of my questions. The house is really lovely, clean and cosy. The location is excellent for people that want to explore the area around Dublin, the dart station is only a 10 minute walk from the house and gets you to Dublin as well as lovely little towns like Duin Laoghaire and Bray ( which is only a 6 minute ride away and has great pubs). All in all the best accommodation I could have picked and the best host I could have asked for.

  • This is our second time visiting Sally-Anne's lovely place - it's a gem! Right under the Sugar Loaf, 2 minutes from the Little Sugar Loaf, with lots of walks and places to visit nearby. Fantastic bakery/cafe and wonderful restaurant 2 minutes away in Delgany. The perfect place to recover from jet lag... With views of the sea and hills around it's gorgeous! Place is immaculate as ever, looking forward to making it an annual visit!

  • This is a an absolutely beautiful cottage with amazing views of the country and Irish sea. The cottage itself is so cozy and warm with fantastic amenities. The bed is so comfortable and the cottage is sparking clean with a beautiful big bath. Sally-Anne and Ian left us a yummy breakfast of granola, a different selection of meats, fresh bread, fruit and yoghurt. Everything you need. I can't say enough about this cottage. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. You will need a car though as there are no buses or public transport nearby. The hosts were available to answer any questions or help us with any problems. A wonderful 6 nights in beautiful Ireland. Thank you Sally-Anne and Ian.

  • A secret escape that can not be fully appreciated by the photographs and perfect bolt hole for some peace and relaxation. Quite separate from the main house for a private get away. A lovely, comprehensive continental breakfast was provided in the fridge / cupboards which I hadn't realised. I would definitely return here.

  • The apartment is a pass. We stayed in the room at the end of the hall (I don't remember the name) and buah. I went with my boyfriend and we were amazed. It is as it appears in the photos and even better. Super friendly and attentive owners at all times. We will definitely repeat. The apartment is awesome! We were in the King room (I can't remember the name) and oh wow! I went with my boyfriend and we were shocked. It's exactly like in the pictures or even better! Nikki and Niall are lovely and really attentive in every moment. We will repeat, no doubt about it! Thank you!

  • Thanks for a great stay and a beautiful breakfast

    David2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • The room we had in this beautiful house was spacious and private with it’s own en-suite bathroom. You can tell Nikki has gone through lengths to decorate the house beautifully. We went the whole nine yards getting the full Irish breakfast and the picnic and we didn’t regret it! Even though it was cold out we drove up to the mountains and had our picnic in the back of the suv. There was so much and it was very good!

    Candice2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house and lovely hosts.

    David2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
