  • Had a lovely stay, so warm and cosy. Hot tub was great, looked out onto lake, definitely left feeling very chilled and relaxed. Check in and communication was so easy and very helpful with idea for local things to do. Would definitely recommend- in fact have already recommended! And will certainly be returning. It feels homely and cosy as soon as you arrive. Fantastic facilities to cook and enjoy meals with plenty of cutlery and silverware provided. The hot tub is easy to use and very relaxing and positioned perfectly with privacy. Also highly recommend Zinga Indian takeaway who delivered to the gate very quickly, the food was amazing. • Had a lovely stay. Lynn's home was so clean and comfortable. My first Airbnb stay so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Lynn soon put me at my ease. The weather was cold in February, but the apartment was always warm. Definitely happy with my stay.

    Anthony2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • We had a great weekend at Lynn's flat thanks to her warm welcome and the comfort of her flat. We almost felt at home!

    Chawkat2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn is a lovely Lady who is warm and welcoming and really goes out of her way to ensure that her guests have a very pleasant stay. She sent me details of how to get to her apartment from Bristol airport which saved me a lot stress and worry. Her ground floor home is only minutes walk from Yate bus station which makes it so handy for public transport. The airport flyer stops right outside the airport door and takes you straight to Bristol bus station where another bus will then take you straight to Yate bus station. I had great weekend and will be staying with her again the next time I travel to the Bristol area.

We are situated at the end of a driveway on the very edge of a park and beside the churchyard - but don’t worry it’s dead quiet most of the time!  Within less than five minutes walk you will find a good range of places to eat and drink including pubs, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. As well as plenty of shops and banks there is a leisure centre with swimming pools and a multi-screen cinema. The local train station gets you into Bristol Temple Meads in about 20 minutes if you’d like a harbourside walk or stay local and less than two miles away is the picturesque south Cotswold medieval market town of Chipping Sodbury.  We are equally well positioned for both Bristol and Bath.
Bright bedroom with floorboards. Two single beds. Fitted wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and a chest of drawers. Two double sockets - one with USB charging points. Bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Sorry we don't share our kitchen but places to eat within five minutes walk from our house include: The Lawns, The White Lion, Bolero Lounge, Morrisons Cafe, McDonald's, Costa, Boswells, Starbucks, Wetherspoons not to mention several takeaways. We do provide tea and coffee in the room and there is a small refrigerator on the landing for guests.
It is like a village atmosphere around the green outside of our front door and yet you can be in a busy town centre within 5 minutes walk.

  • The cottage is a beautifully renovated, peaceful place to explore the local area. I was there with 2 young children who were very comfortable on the sofa bed and we enjoyed exploring the area around Bath and Castle Combe. Definitely recommend adding on the local breakfast basket!

  • Beautiful comfortable place to stay. We loved hearing the farm animals close by. Very convenient for exploring the area although a car is needed. Lovely walks from the property.

  • The Hall at Woodcock Farm is everything you could possibly want in a holiday let. It's in a quiet location but close to many places to visit. We were spoilt for choice. Caroline and Jason are great hosts and made everything work smoothly, from our first contact to our late arrival after a long and busy journey on a Bank Holiday Friday night. We could not have asked for more and the small touches of milk in the fridge and the essential staples in the kitchen were much appreciated. We will certainly be making a return visit.

    Helen2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice accommodation in a beautiful area and very friendly hosts. I would like to book again anytime.

    Astrid2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great, romantic 3 day break over Easter. Caroline had put milk in the fridge and there was essential cooking ingredients which came in handy. The space is great for a couple. We are outside on a table and chairs in the garden which was private (possibly the next door rental could have been sat outside near us had they been inclined) . We had private parking in front which is so convenient. This was the cleanest rental we have stayed at. The location was ideal. Caroline had given us a local taxi number and we got into Bath for 30pounds. There is a park and ride option at Lansdown (15 mins away) but we were having a proper meal with wine so this felt reasonable given the circumstances. We visited Dyrham Park and did a circular walk starting at Uley (20 mins away). Could have done an extra day or two easily.

    Ash2019-04-22T00:00:00Z

Barn End offers high quality luxury with every home comfort, set within a traditional Cotswolds barn. Woodcock Farm occupies 36 acres on the Cotswold Way with sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks. Within the farmland is an Iron Age hill fort that was subsequently occupied by the Romans and Anglo Saxons; so history is literally on the doorstep. Located just 5 mins from J18 of M4 set in quiet, rolling countryside close to Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester.
Barn End has recently undergone a full renovation and how offers a super fully fitted kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, fridge with freezer compartment and all cooking equipment. The bathroom is one of the highlights of Barn End, with a fabulous Nebbia bath, which has been moulded around the human body for the ultimate feeling of comfort. Take your G&T and relax.... The spacious shower offers both a rain and hand held shower head. The decor is stylish with a wall length mirror, attractive tiling to both walls and floor. The king-size double bed has a top quality memory foam mattress to ensure a really good night's sleep. Top quality linens just add to the feeling of luxury. Freeview TV and free wifi are provided, (but please remember we are in the country so the speeds may not be as you are used to!). The cosy sitting area looks out over the gardens through large glazed doors (with voile curtains for privacy). A woodburner adds the final touch to this beautiful space. Locally there is a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out. The Farm sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way. There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites. The whole surroundings are a haven of tranquility and beautiful nature, with spectacular views from the escarpment across the Severn Valley to Wales.
The Cotswolds in one of the most beautiful parts of SW England, but close at hand if you want great shops, restaurants and nightlife are Bath and Bristol. Our local town - Chipping Sodbury - boasts its own bakers (Hobbs House Bakery - The Fabulous Baker Boys), Waitrose, local butchers and greengrocers as well as a great Deli/coffee shop called Hamptons, which serve a great brunch! There is a cinema and sports centre with a indoor pool in Yate, which is 15 mins away, and Yate also offers a train service to Bristol Parkway. The free Park and Ride service into Bath is around 15 mins drive located at the top of Lansdown, near the Racecourse. There are a host of places to visit close at hand; Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury and Cirencester, Malmsbury Abbey, Berkeley Castle, Bristol Zoo and Aquarium, @Bristol to name a few. The Cotswolds Way cuts through the farm and there a many local footpaths and walks which take you through some of the beautiful local countryside.
  • Fantastic property and very well presented! Peaceful and relaxing for a quiet winters weekend. Kitchen is very well equipped and the bed super comfortable! Loved the log fire!

  • Clean, modern...great kitchen that was super easy to cook in. Amazing bathroom. Extremely quiet, very cosy, and we really enjoyed the woodburner!

  • We visited Woodcock Farm in November for my partners birthday. The fire was a brilliant touch, the heating on, blanket provided and even a hot water bottle. We ordered the breakfast basket and with little notice but Caroline made this happen for us which was greatly appreciated. Caroline suggested the Cotswold Way walk as well as a variety of pubs in the area. We had a great walk and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast in the area. After check out we then went to do some shopping in Bath which was only around a 20/25 minute drive so a great location. All in all we had a great stay and would absolutely return.

  • A great place to relax, unwind and explore the Cotswolds from. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

  • “Barn End” was awesome. Very comfortable, very clean and blissfully quiet. Located adjacent to the property is Neolithic Fort. Old Sodbury Hillfort is an impressive Bronze to Iron age encampment atop the Cotswold Ridge. Not to mention it’s a working farm, Woodcock Farm. Fresh eggs, fresh bacon, fresh baked bread, milk, orange juice and a little dog named Archie. We had a lovely stay. We highly recommend Barn End. Thank you Caroline and Jason.

  • Idyllic, peaceful retreat. We loved our time here the cabin was a sanctuary tucked away in the peaceful countryside. We stayed as a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Close access to Bath (around 30 minute drive) but we easily could have stayed at the cabin quite happily as it had everything we needed! We can’t wait to visit again in the near future! Only one advisory, the shower wasn’t warm during our stay, the host is very quick to respond and did attempt to fix it but unfortunately it wasn’t successful, apart from that issue the rest of our stay was wonderful.

    Abigail2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! So clean and the underfloor heating is amazing. It was the middle of January and we were so toasty. The hot tub is such a nice bonus and the view of the lake. Lynn was always on hand to help us with anything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here!

    Elaine2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cabin. Absolutely exceeded expectations and was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was such a lovely added bonus and we loved the heated flooring. Chipping Sodbury has lots of great restaurants including an Italian, good British pub food and a Thai that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and will be back for the summer

Beautiful character farm house Annex, built circa 1820. Recently renovated to a very high standard. Stone floors and reclaimed elm floorboards. Well appointed modern kitchen. Jacuzzi bath for that added luxury. Includes wood burner with logs (FOC). Own private garden. Ample parking. Rural setting with beautiful countryside walks. Excellent country pub within walking distance. Location 5 minutes from junction 18. Great access to Bath, Bristol and Cotswolds. 1 hour 30 minutes to London.
Steep stairs to bedroom and bathroom. Under floor heating in stone floors. Sattelite TV. Tea, coffee and bread and butter will be provided. Kitchen includes dishwasher (tablets provides FOC), fan oven and hob. Cooking equipment all provided. All bed linen and towels provided and can be changed during a longer stay (+5 days) on request. We have a resident dog and 2 cats. They have no direct access into the Annex. We are happy to accept well behaved dogs who will be friendly to our animals and we would expect that guests will pick up after their own.
Country Pub in the village of Burton less than 1 mile walk and many others within 2 miles. We often have horses in the surrounding fields and we are surrounded by beautiful fields.
  • Ainslie’s annex was an absolute joy to stay in, she provided homely features, such as a smart TV with access to Sky movies and Netflix. As a host, she was extremely flexible and quickly responded to any questions. Being allowed to bring our dog made the stay even more enjoyable, with fabulous local walks and places to enjoy. The annex features an absolutely lovely sofa in front of the TV and fireplace which really tied the whole farm/country side atmosphere together. When we arrived the firewood had been stacked up ready to go, and every night we had the fire roaring away keeping us warm. The kitchen was fully kitted out with a full oven, functional work top and dish washer. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space in both large shelving and chest of drawers. Leading on from the bedroom was the finely furnished bathroom with a luxurious bath with built in jacuzzi feature meaning we could end each day of walking with a relaxing soak. One small thing that we did miss during our stay was the lack of full standing shower, this didn’t ruin our stay by any means, but was certainly missed in the mornings when we wanted a quick shower before starting our day, this was mitigated by the lovely aforementioned bath that did include a built in shower head, but no means to mount it to shower standing up. Finally, as people who were maybe somewhat dubious about staying in an annex with the fear of overbearing hosts, we can say that Ainslie gave us the space and privacy that we needed, but at the same time was quick to respond to messages and in general was there when we needed her. Overall, Nettleton was a quaint village with great footpaths and beautiful views, the perfect getaway for those who want to get away from the city. However there aren’t any shops immediately close by, so just be aware that you may need to travel a small ways to get food and other bits and pieces. The annex was a perfect little home away from home, great for a weekend away or a longer stay. Thanks Ainslie!

    Harriet2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this quaint, comfy cottage. Ainslie is a fabulous host & we will definitely be back again for the Christmas Markets in bath.

    Angela2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place. Close to Bristol and Bath, but far enough away to escape the rush (particularly during the Christmas market!) Really loved the building modern but warm and cosy as well, particularly the fireplace and bath. It is very comfortable and clean but it is the little touches like the milk, jam and bread that made it feel so amazing to stay at. I can't recommended enough and would absolutely stay at again!

    Vicky2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent cosy little cottage, perfect for a weekend away.

    Calum2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ainslie’s place is perfect! The annexe was wonderfully cosy, and the kitchen is really well-stocked with equipment. Ainslie was really helpful advising places we could go to, and also left birthday chocolates which was really sweet. The area itself is perfect- really great views of the countryside and lovey walks! Definitely would go back again

    Sanah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location near to Bath,Bristol and wonderful countryside with plenty of places to visit and explore. Anislie & Ben are great hosts and live in the main house adjoining. The Annex is spacious, beautifully clean and comfortably finished with well fitted kitchen with dining and comfortable lounge area with a lovely spacious bathroom and bedroom on first floor. Parking right outside Annex Should be noted that stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are steep

    Keith2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ainslie was very welcoming, super quick to respond and the annexe was well designed. We appreciated the welcome ingredients of bread, butter, milk and jam. Oil and condiments supplied too. The property is well insulated so cosy but logs were available for the stove. Well placed for accessing Bath, Bradford on Avon, Castle Coombe. Great pubs locally with very reasonably priced food. Get yourself an ordnance survey map to orientate yourself.

    Joyce2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Ainslies annex was exactly what I had been looking for: a quiet place all to my own, in the midst of a gorgeous landscape, however still close to everything one might need (cities Bath and Bristol, supermarkets, etc.) The fireplace was my best friend and the bath tub was just luxurious. I will most definitely try and come back again :)

  • Thanks for having us over New Years! We had a fab stay in Gilliflower. Super clean and had everything we needed ☺️ Jo and Marcus are very lovely and are there if you need anything! Also got to see the llamas and horses which was an added bonus! We popped into Bath which was around a 30 minute country drive and we had a fab day. We also went to the Kings Arms which was recommended by Jo and we had some yummy lunch there. See you again soon. X

    Alex2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeded our expectations! It was incredibly clean and modern, there we’re a few lovely touches, such as Bread, Butter and Milk. It was easy to find and there was ample parking which is always an advantage. We met Joanna in the morning as she was feeding the animals, she was lovely and welcoming. We loved having the animals on our doorstep, especially the cheeky pony that was kicking the gate to say hello. Such a great stay. Would recommend to anyone 🥰

The Mallard Studio is set within the grounds of our wonderful home Hinton Grange. Just 15 minutes drive from the wonderful cities of Bath and Bristol. Plus only yards away from an award winning pub! Hinton Grange has been an established place to stay for over 50 years. We purchased it for our family home 6 years ago and have been running a professional holiday cottage business here since. We fell in love with the romance of the place and we are sure you will too.
The studio itself is an end of terrace, stone-built studio overlooking a pretty duck pond. The space is completely yours and you will have complete privacy, however we live on site so if you need anything please just ask, we are very sociable but will leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace unless you want us! Although a studio, our guests are always pleasantly surprised by how much space you actually get. It is equipped with a kitchen and has a recently renovated shower room with amazing water pressure, something normally difficult to achieve in a rural property. The most unique feature of all our properties is that we have "open fires", there is nothing better than sitting in front of an open fire with the wood crackling and flames dancing. It is impossible to not have a romantic stay away with an open fire in the room. Wifi is now available in the studio itself and washing machines are available free of charge in the communal laundry room which you will have your own key, there are also dvd's you can borrow.
Not only do we have an award winning pub in our village, we also are on two significant national trails. The Cotswold Way and The Monarch Way. Also next door to Hinton is the Village of Dyrham and the national trust property Dyrham Park. Within easy driving distance are the historic and beautiful villages of Castle Coombe and Lacock.
  • As always, a warm welcome and great stay at Angela's place.

  • Really cosy, lovely spot and Angela made it really homely. Really lovely extra touches, like wine and chocolate. It’s also really well located for Bath, but nice countryside and with a lovely pub in walking distance if you want to stay local.

    Katie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting, perfect retreat for exploring Bath, two great pubs close by, space itself is spacious and cosy, kitchen well equipped and having the open fire is great.

    Nick2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We love Angela's place. Mallard Studio is so cosy. The bed is super comfy, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom just right. The towels and bedding are of a high quality and you can't put a price on waking up and having breakfast on the quiet terrace next to the pond. The pub is within walking distance and serves great food. The walks from the door offer sightings of deer and buzzards. Would highly recommend.

    Joanne2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Angela is so welcoming and a wonderful host, every detail had been though of and we will definitely be going back, cosy and comfortable and with a very nice pub a few minutes walk up the road!

  • Super cozy and clean as you would hope. You really feel tucked away and surrounded by nature in this quiet village. The duck pond just outside the cottage was so picturesque and pretty. The little touches like food and DVDs within the accommodation really went a long way. Angela was quick with responding and gave thorough directions which is always good. Great value for money - can't recommend enough and would come back any day.

  • We had a fantastic stay in the Drake Studio. It was warm, welcoming and very cosy. It was close enough to drive into Bath and the taxi wasn’t too expensive either! The pub just down the road, The Bull, was brilliant and would definitely recommend it to anyone planning on staying here. The amenities were great, everything was super clean and the shower was really nice and powerful. We had Prosecco, bread, jam, teas and coffees waiting for us which were lovely touches. The open fire and free bag of fire wood was also a lovely touch and we enjoyed the huge selection of DVD’s too! Angela was easily contactable whilst also giving us all the space and freedom to have a great weekend. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Our cosy converted stable is 20meters from the entrance Dyrham Park National Trust and only 15mins drive to Bath. Double height ceilings with exposed beams and huge rooms. The style is a mix of contemporary and country chic with one-off antique finds. The bedroom is huge, with super king bed and giant west-facing bay window from which you can view spectacular sunsets. The open plan kitchen and living area has a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, a breakfast bar as well as a dining table.
The property is totally separate from the main house giving you total privacy. The space is double height with exposed beams, from which hang vintage light fittings that light-up the space with a warm glow. It has been designed as a haven away from the hectic day-to-day life. We want guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting and home comforts. The large L-shaped sofa is super comfy - perfect for kicking back and watching a movie. Plenty of parking in the private driveway. The location is second-to-none: 7min drive from the M4 (junc 18); 15min drive to the centre of Bath. The house is just a few yards from the pedestrian gate into Dyrham Park – perfect for country walks, picnics, or pop into the restaurant for afternoon tea or the famous venison burger & visit the gift and garden shop for gorgeous goodies.
Stunning rural location but just a few miles from the beautiful world heritage city of Bath where you can visit the Bath Spa and the Royal Crescent and Circus. We are on the Cotswold way - perfect for walkers, or anyone fancying a ramble. We are right by the pedestrian gate into Dyrham Park National Trust which is stunning - deer walks, amazing gardens to explore, cafe and lovely gift shop. We're lucky enough to also be close to gorgeous Gloucestershire villages of Badminton, Tetbury (a must for antiques shopping) and the stunning Arboretum at Westonbirt. Bristol with its array of shops (from Harvey Nichols to independent boutiques, funky bars and restaurants) is a 20minute drive.

It was so spacious, stylish and cozy. We were sad to only stay one night. It had everything you needed and it had a wonderful country retreat feel. A great place to stay after a week in London. Thank you so much Lucy for creating such a wonderful place to stay. Asher and Jo ☺️

Enjoy a relaxing and luxurious stay in a quiet setting on a farm. Newly renovated, with modern shower room and fully equipped kitchen. Spacious double bedroom holding a super kingsize bed. Located next to Castle Coombe and surrounded by wonderful places to visit makes this an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds, Bath and Bristol. Easy access to the M4/M5 makes day trips to anywhere in the South West possible. Great countryside walks including the Macmillian Way route.
Attached annexe to main farmhouse with own entrance.
Very friendly village shop within walking distance and surrounding by choice of fantastic gastro pubs within 5-10 minute drive. The route of the Macmillian Way www.macmillanway.org passes through the farm which includes one of the highlights of the route the Lugbury Long Barrow. Castle Coombe "prettiest village in England" is the village next door and if you take the footpath across the golf course is in walking distance. Tetbury is a wonderful Cotswold market town with antique shops and cafes galore. The gardens of HRH Prince Charles at Highgrove are near Tetbury along with Westonbirt Arboretum with it's 2500 different species of trees, Illuminated trails at Christmas, Forest gigs in summer and fabulous dog walking year round in Silk Wood. All of this is just a 20 minutes beautiful drive away. Badminton Horse Trials in May is a 5 minute drive away and Gatcombe Horse Trials in August is about a 30 minute drive. Other places in the area to visit include Berkeley Castle, Chavenage House, Lacock Abbey, Rodmarton Manor and the Cotswold Water Park.
  • Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this place. Well worth a visit.

  • What a beautiful home! One of the nicest places I've been lucky enough to stay in. Location is brilliant and really not too far away from anywhere you'd like to visit. We visited Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Bristol, Castle Coombe and many other places and nothing is further than an hour and you don't compromise on location. If you dont fancy using the lovely kitchen they have then there's a really great pub a stones throw away and an array of other cuisine a 10/15 minute drive away in Chippenham. If you're reading this review then look no further and book this rare gem.

    Liam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend staying here! One of the comfiest beds I’ve stayed in! Lovely escape from the city. Becky is a very thoughtful host- provided breakfast bits which was a lovely touch! Would definitely visit again.

    Kiran2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Becky and Chris' place for four nights in January and were very pleased with our time there. Becky went above and beyond our expectations, with the provision of basics such as farm eggs, milk and bread and a detailed folder of things to see and do showing a high level of sensitivity to our needs. The accommodation is spacious for two people, private, quiet and finished to a high specification; the bed is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is equipped very well. The property is ideally situated for exploring the Cotswolds and everywhere is within a reasonable drive, with walks to neighbouring villages such as Castle Combe straightforward and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Becky and Chris and would recommend them as hosts to anyone.

    Dale2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend Becky’s place enough, the cottage has beautiful character and a cosy feel with modern amenities. Becky provides an arrival book with recommendations on restaurants, places to visit etc. We used that along with entries by previous guests in the guest book to finalise our plans for the weekend. Our main reason to stay was to be close enough to Bath but in a rural location, however you are close enough here to visit three different counties, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset depending on the length of your stay. With so much to see and do near the area we will certainly be back again as the accommodation and hospitality was second to none. Thank you

    Jacquelyne2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our second visit, can’t fault this beautiful countryside apartment. No wonder we keep wanting to return. The comfiest bed with stunning and very peaceful views. Great central point to local cities or sites of interest. We ventured out to Stonehenge and Salisbury this time around, previously we used this space as a base for a longleat visit. Friendly hosts that are there to help.
