Sunny, self-contained, secluded and private cottage with a view from the deck over the River Leven and a private gate giving you access to Loch Lomond in 10 minutes in one direction or a longer walk (or cycle) to Dumbarton the other. Available for a minimum of 2 nights. Nicely decorated, furnished and a comfy mattress and memory foam pillows. Easy to get to with or without a car. Quiet and private setting with off-street parking within the town of Balloch. There is a supermarket 5 minutes' walk away open 7am to 10pm 7 days/week. It is a 10 minute walk to Lomond Shores, a quality shopping centre, Sealife Centre, and a tourist office. There are plenty of good walks through an 80 hectare Country Park just 5 minutes' walk away or up the west side of Loch Lomond towards Luss. The more adventurous traveler can access the stunning Trossachs National Park for ample walking / hiking / cycling / sailing / canoeing opportunities. Set in the wooded grounds of our lovingly restored 1902 house offering privacy, yet only a few minutes' walk from Balloch train station and local shops, pubs, and restaurants. Bright and contemporary, the Cottage is open-plan, divided into sitting area, kitchen, and bedroom with a separate bathroom. French doors open onto a deck overlooking the river and garden to sit back and relax in nature. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs with electric cooker with double oven and 4-ring halogen hob, large fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, and all glassware, cookware, crockery, and cutlery. For more adventurous chefs and bakers we can provide other items. Fresh hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels will be provided. The cottage has electric radiators and is very cosy. The bed is a 5 foot UK double. The mattress is medium firm. There is a WiFi transmitter in the cottage providing a fast and reliable connection. There is an LCD Free-View TV/DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The TV has an A/V inputs so you can use it to watch your movies from your own device. Fisherwood Cottage sleeps 2 adults. It is not suitable for children or pets. Tea, fresh milk, biscuits, a guest guide and local tourist attractions leaflets will be provided upon your arrival. In the summer there is plenty of wild garlic growing by the door - help yourself and use the leaves in cooking or salads. You'll see from the photographs that there is an area to sit and have a BBQ. You can either use an instant BBQ or we can lend you a small grill for use with charcoal. There is a wide choice of cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs within walking distance if you do not feel like cooking. The Cottage is self contained with a full kitchen and bathroom offering you complete privacy. We are available to help you organize your day outs and with anything else you might need. There are lots of walks around the loch from here, or a 4km walk along the riverside to Dumbarton Castle and Maritime Museum. Balloch has seven pubs and numerous restaurants, all within 10 minutes' walk. There is often live (folk) music in the Doghouse pub, see below. MOST IMPORTANT: When you book you'll get the address and directions. You can use SatNav/GPS to get to Balloch but then PLEASE FOLLOW OUR DIRECTIONS. GPS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG PLACE! There is no house number and we are NOT in Fisherwood Road. FINDING LOCAL MUSIC & EVENTS (Airbnb won't allow web links so we have shown the words you need to type into a search engine using "".) There are two pubs in Balloch that offer live music, you can check on their sites: "stonegate inns" then put "balloch" into 'town'. Further afield (you need a car) is 'Pub of the Year 1705' - The "Drovers Inn at Inverarnan" at the north end of the loch or, on the east side of the loch, "The Oak Tree at Balmaha". There are two main events listing magazines for Glasgow: "the list glasgow" "the skinny" which tends to list more informal free events FINDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCH visitscotland full stop com lochlomond-trossachs full stop org lovelochlomond full stop com Most of the castles in Scotland belong to the Crown: "historic scotland". Historic houses, sites, and gardens around Scotland are managed by the National Trust Scotland: "national trust scotland". Both organizations offer 3-day passes - individual entry can be expensive. Check their sites. The Cottage is only a few minutes' walk from Balloch station with a half-hourly service to Glasgow and beyond, 7 days a week. (Change at Dumbarton for the Oban / Fort William Harry Potter line.) There is a taxi stance by the station. Balloch is on the route for the Glasgow to Fort William Citylink bus. There are local bus links to Stirling, Balmaha (for Ben Lomond).
Local pubs and restaurants are just a 5 minutes' walk away. We provide leaflets and a guest guide with maps and suggestions of what to see locally and further afield. The Coop supermarket is a 5 minutes' walk away open 07:00 to 22:00, 7 days/week.

  • We had a lovely stay in Michael and Nolwenn's cosy cabin. As a non-driver it was wonderful to find a peaceful place to stay within easy reach of beautiful scenery yet right next to the train station and close to local amenities. Michael kindly met us from the station and helped us with our bags but it was so close - just across the road! We walked to the loch and went to the Sea Life and Birds of Prey centres. It was February so the weather wasn't great and sadly we couldn't make use of the pretty deck and gardens, but the cabin was toasty warm and there were plenty of board games, books and DVDs to keep us entertained. In fact, this is the best-equipped self-catering accommodation I've ever stayed in. Michael and Nolwenn have thought of everything, especially in the kitchen: as well as all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you'd need to cook, they provide tea, coffee, oil, sauces, salt, pepper, herbs and spices, even foil to wrap sandwiches in for picnics. These are the little things you often end up wastefully buying and leaving behind when you are self-catering and travelling by public transport. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy, the bed comfy, communication clear and efficient. An exemplary Airbnb experience!

The place is every bit as cosy as it looks, located very close to Loch Lomond (the cottage has direct access to a riverside path that leads you to the Loch!) and Michael and Nolwenn gave us lots of useful information which we took advantage of during our stay!   • This magical oasis hidden on the River Leven banks of Balloch, is not to be missed. Within the first few moments into the cabin you already feel right at home, with a cosy aesthetic and some of the comfiest sheets we had ever slept in. The surrounding garden is genuinely the most magical area you will ever find yourself. Your inner child will be filled with wonder and adventure as you meander your way around its twists and turns. Waking up to a cuppa on the balcony is the ideal way to start your day and as you watch the sun peak through the trees you’ll realise that you never want to leave. Fisherwood Cottage is absolutely stunning and we can guarantee that it’s the best way to see Balloch.

    This area is uniquely central to a wide variety of attractions both coastal (20 mins drive to Loch Lomond, 30 mins drive to Largs) and Urban (10 mins drive to Glasgow City Centre, 40 mins Edinburgh). Also Restaurant/Bar (Lord Lounsdale) only a few minutes walk for a great meal and drink. Local shops and supermarkets close by.

    first floor apartment with easy access to M8 and M77, the airport and is situated directly across the road from the Queen Elizabeth university hospital, and Glasgow's Sick Children's hospital. Easy access to Braehead shopping centre, escape, Soar and Hillington Ind estate. Great fast and efficient bus links into city centre. It is about a 15 car journey into the city centre.
    The 2 bedroom apartment is warm, bright and airy with a large garden to enjoy. It is clean and comfortable with a fully functioning kitchen should you wish to cook. We have supplied all those extra Wee staples like oil and herbs etc, with ample pots and pans that will make cooking for 6-8 a breeze should you wish to! Also the table can be extended to seat all of your party... Wonderful linens, luxurious towels and feather pillows, quilts and excellent mattresses for the best nights sleep after a busy day about town... It's especially easy to get to the QEUH and Glasgow's Sick Children's hospital, literally a 5 minute walk away. It also has a lidl within 5 minutes walk. SUPERFAST bus links into the city centre (which takes around 20mins) and transport links into Braehead retail park which boasts an Ikea, Sainburies, Leisure facilities with snowscape and climbing centre, arena and much much more, situated on the Clyde in refrewshire. It is also very close to Glasgow international airport if you need to catch an early morning flight. It is slightly less than central of the main city centre(a short 15 minute car ride away). Please bare this in mind when booking that it is not the city centre, but has excellent train and bus links to it! However it still boasts a great Wee cafe called the LUV CAFE, open 8-4 at 1121 govan road a 5 minute walk from the flat, which does a excellent coffee or Wee breakfast. There is also a local pub the AMETHYST and a chip shop that cooks with organic vegetable oil, also situated on Govan road.
    It's a very quiet neighbourhood with great access into Glasgow city centre. Please remember the location is NOT the city centre (so please don't make us down on location), however it has super public transport links to the city and is a great base for people that have a car, with off road parking who perhaps just need a base and not looking for a touristic area to enjoy as soon as you step out of the flat as it is the suburbs. Excellent if you are enjoying tournaments at Soar Braehead. Or visiting a loved one at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. Or need a stop over before catching a flight.

    Have a nice wee private let an ideal spot in Clydebank. 30 second walk to Clydebank train station, Clydebank college is right across the road from my flat, Clydebank shopping center + bus station is 2 minutes walk. Its a really quiet area and naighbours are all very cool. I've lived here a year and I don't have any complaints. I smoke, just putting that out but I'll respefully smoke in my room with the window if it's a problem. I have a fold out futon and can move drawers out if u need more room
    It's a 2 bedroom flat in a nice area. It's a fold out futon in the spare room n I have a memory foam type mattress on it. It's comfortable. drawers and cupboard for you to use
    Really quiet area. Right in the center of Clydebank center. 21 mins travel to Glasgow Central on train

The flat is close to public transportation, only 5 minutes walk to Paisley Campos University, 10 minutes walk to Paisley city centre and Paisley Gilmour Street station, from there it's easy to reach Glasgow city centre in 12 minutes by train, and Glasgow airport in 10 minutes by bus. The host is a gentleman and honest person, he is a very quick communicator, and available to resolve any issue could happen asap. I really recommend this place, and definitely I will back again.

    I have a spare double room in my own house for rent. There is a television with built in dvd player and a tivo box in the bedroom. I will be here when I have guests. I live in a quiet cul de sac 8 miles from Glasgow city centre with transport links nearby. Breakfast will be cereal/ porridge , toast , tea/ coffee and juice. Free wifi available.
    There is a large , south facing , enclosed , quiet back garden where guests can sit if they wish. Guests are welcome to sit in living room and use dining room and kitchen also.
    This is a quiet, residential area with very little traffic as the street is a small cul de sac.

    Bright, quiet central flat in Paisley with 2 double bedrooms, can be booked individually or entire flat. The White Room is a double room with wardrobe, drawers, desk and bedside table. There is a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room in the flat. The flat is the top floor of a traditional tenement building. The flat is close to the centre, train station, university, hospital, Glasgow Airport and the M8. Please note- there is no TV, but great WiFi, so please bring your own screen!
    Cheap and cheerful, close to town centre and Glasgow airport. Flat 3/1.
    The flat is in a residential area, beside a well-known school. The block of flats is quiet.
  • Great communication from Adell, checks you arrived safely and has a genuine interest in your enjoyment and stay. Great value for money, nothing fancy - perfect for what you need, a big comfy bed and clean, just what we needed after a 7.5 hour drive and a P!NK concert. Will be back :)

M8 is 3 minutes away direct connection to Glasgow or Edinburgh. There is also 757 bus to and from Glasgow Airport which drops you off on road outside flat. This bus will also take you to Paisley. Flat is also close to both Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Royal Alexandria Hospital and the West of Scotland University. On arrival, you will find a folder with information on everything local with some of my personal suggestions and bus timetables.

She knows Glasgow like a real Glaswegian would (well, that's because SHE IS a real weegie) and she taught us a lot about Glasgow and how things work around here. The place is incredibly tidy and cozy, and we felt very welcomed. The room is pretty nice, clean, confortable and with nice pillows, we even had a tv with netflix and skytv. It is definitely a great place, near a train station and abundance of buses. I love it!

She has the niceness you would expect from a Glaswegian, and the place is cozy and clean (I have allergies and I didn't sneeze not even once). This flat is a great place for people travelling, or students/visiting family as it is only a 5 minute walk from the University of the West of Scotland Campus. There is a key box on site for access, the code will be sent to guests the day before they arrive.
    Secured shared entry to building and own secure front door on left of the landing. Bathroom with shower as you walk in. To the right there is a bedroom with double bed and storage, to the left of the front door there is the open plan living room and kitchen. Kitchen is small but fully equipped with a recently installed brand new cooker. There is a small issue with the Kitchen hot water being low pressure so it can take a while to fill. Living room has comfortable sofas, TV and entire property has strong WIFI signal. The flat has electric stand alone heaters.
    Shops, restaurants, takeaways and launderettes just round the corner. Paisley has two shopping centres, the Piazza with modern shops and Paisley Centre which has a market feel. In the centre of Paisley you will find the stunning Paisley Abbey and town hall. University of the West of Scotland Campus is a short walk away.

Bus and train stations are both within a three minute walk, which offers direct access to the city/west end, SECC, Edinburgh and Balloch. The Golden Jubilee National Hospital is a five minute walk from the flat. Glasgow Airport is a 15 minute taxi journey.
    17G Regent Place is a spacious, comfortable apartment which offers character and warmth all under one roof. It has been designed specifically to make you feel like you are travelling to a home… from home. We know how important this is to our guests. The flat is fully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay including WiFi, Smart TV with Netflix and free parking. The apartment has two beautifully decorated bedrooms which feature ample storage space for clothing and suitcases. The master bedroom has a comfy king-sized bed and the second has a double. There is an additional sleeping option of a small double fold out bed which can be set up in the living room. Just let us know when you book and we can have it all laid out in the living room so you can sort yourselves out when it suits you. The living room is tastefully decorated with generous space for five guests (complete with board games). We have a dining table which seats four which can also act as a desk for those needing to log a few work hours. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking essentials: ceramic hob cooker, toaster, microwave, oven, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, freezer as well as the necessary equipment for cooking (crockery, cutlery and utensils). There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities. The bathroom comprises bath, shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Complimentary towels, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided for guests. The property is kitted out with safety features which are maintained regularly, including a fire extinguisher and fire blanket, 3 smoke and heat detectors and a CO2 detector. Which will hopefully give you some peace of mind. We will consider well behaved dogs and we insist all guests inform us prior to booking as there is a small charge of £15 per dog.     Bright and comfortable private double room in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat. Free parking, & great bus links to Glasgow West End & the City Centre (Approx. 10 minute bus journey to either). You can also easily walk to the West End in around 20-30 mins through Victoria Park (we do this often with our dog), or via Dumbarton Road. We are also a few minutes walk from Scotstoun Stadium, which is very handy for rugby games and other sporting events.
    Private double room in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat; high ceilings, large room with lots of natural light. There is unlimited super fast fibre broadband WiFi throughout the flat, and you have a TV viewing device which gives you access to various apps such as Netflix attached to the TV in your room. Plenty of storage space, a drop down writing/eating/laptop surface - a foldable bed-tray for eating or using a laptop is also available. Shared kitchen, and shared bathroom - all utensils for cooking, and all bathroom necessities are provided. Laundry facilities are available. We have a dining table in our lounge which you can use for breakfast, but please let us know if you would like to use it for an evening meal. We will be out most days, and will be using the lounge in the evenings, we are happy to socialise with guests, but please understand that we work full-time and need some sanctuary :)
    We have excellent access to green space (Victoria Park, Nature Walk, cycle network route), and are close to many areas of natural beauty - we love to visit Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, which is roughly 30-35 mins drive away, but trains and buses do run to Balloch station if you don't have a car, this station is in the National Park. The transport links near us are fantastic, & there are plenty of shops/cafe's etc nearby, and a few restaurants and bars. The area is generally quiet, but has easy access to areas with more nightlife either by bus or taxi, both of which are very reasonably priced.

Incredibly kind and knowledgeable, both of them were a pleasure to stay with. We stayed up chatting late into the night and I had a truly enjoyable experience doing so. Not to mention Mulder the dog, who is always ready for a pat and a snuggle if you’re missing your dog from home.     At the end of a long journey when all you are looking for is a comfy bed, hot shower and a cup of tea look no further than here. My home is situated on a quiet street. With my spare room being large and airy there is plenty of room to feel at home in and as its situated to the back of the house so its nice and quiet. Fresh towels and linen are supplied. There is WiFi. Small hairdryer available. There is a wardrobe which has a couple of drawers for you to use during your stay. My home is easily accessible by road, rail (Westerton Train Station), & bus (X4, 3, 6a & 16), plenty of on road parking. Also able to get a direct train to Edinburgh from local station. The SECC, Clyde Auditorium, the Hydro, Kings Theatre, Theatre Royal and Pavilion are all easily accessible. 4 train stops from the start of the West Highland Way. Also within walking distance of the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine and ‌Institute of Cancer Sciences. Breakfast supplied consists of cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, yoghurt, jam/marmalade/butter, tea & coffee. Sorry no smoking or pets allowed.

Only downside were the neighbours upstairs who seemed very active throughout both day and night, walking back and forth on floorboards into the early hours of the morning, but this can't be helped.     The room is bright and airy. It is very central to Glasgow airport, just a few minutes walk and you will find excellent and regular public transport to Glasgow where you can jump off to any place in the UK basically. I have 3 cats that roam freely with the exception of the guest bedroom.
    People who want to travel daily to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Loch Lomond etc.
    The natives are usually friendly in Paisley.

  • The Flat itself had everything you need a bathroom a kitchen a living room and a nice bedroom. The Bed was comfortable. It took us a while to figure out the stove in the kitchen but otherwise it was a good kitchen. It takes some time to get to the station (about 15min) but the train than takes only 10 minutes to get to the City Centre. All in all we had a good stay there.

Ten minute bus from the airport, and 12 minute train to downtown Glasgow central station. Paisley itself has many bars and places to eat, as well as a few shops.

  • The building is an older structure I actually prefer to stay in historic places. The apartment is immaculate and very clean. The place is very convenient has lots of shops and places to eat near by. It only cost £10 to take a taxi to the airport super accessible. Yet, the neighbourhood is very quiet for a good night sleep. It is just a short train ride into Glasgow city centre too. Excellent value for the money, and I would definitely recommend staying at Adell's place. Thank you Adell

  • It is in Paisley which might not sound so great but it is actually in a nice part of Paisley and within walking distance(we had two suitcases), from the train station. We came from the airport and it was cheap and easy to get to by bus and a bit of walking(you could also take a bus to very close to the flat). Very nice inside too. Maybe tKe some ear plugs if you want to sleep during the day though. Overall very good and great value.

  • I’ve never used Air BnB before, so was pretty nervous on what to expect etc. However, Darren was quick in responding and when I arrived he handed me the keys and showed me around before going out. I spent 4 nights in the apartment and Darren is a very down to earth, sound guy. The apartment is immaculate and you have your own bathroom which again, is spotless and the shower is superb. I’d 100% recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Glasgow! For me, the location was perfect but I believe there is public transport to the City Centre within walking distance!     A comfortable room in the foothills of the Kilpatrick Hills, overlooking Dumbarton and the River Clyde to the South. The house is located for easy journeys by road and public transport to picturesque Loch Lomond as well as trendy & historic Glasgow. In-house complementary therapies also available. We live with our lovely dog, Dexter. Whilst the shared spaces are definitely not going to win any prizes from lovers of show-homes, these spaces are clean. Guest-room and the bathroom are clean & tidy.
    We have a small semi-detached house and the guest room is up a short flight of stairs. In the room is a double bed with bedside tables & lamps on both sides, along with available power sockets, a wardrobe, drawers, a heated drying rack and and an oscillating fan (these live in the wardrobe); and a TV with Freeview & a Bluray player (there are a selection of films available to borrow from downstairs & you can also use Netflix & catch-up TV services). The room is well decorated with good quality bedding. It has a radiator to keep you warm in the winter and we can always provide additional blankets if necessary. Each bedside drawer unit has a hot water bottle in the top drawer. In one of the drawers, you'll find a hairdryer, and on the other side, there is a small first aid kit available if you have need of it. There is a great view from the bedroom to the Kilpatrick Hills, beyond our back garden there is nothing but fields! The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and has an excellent shower, towel rail, toothbrush charger, etc. We provide towels. We are happy for guests to use our kitchen and dining table with the understanding that these form the backbone of our personal space. As such, these spaces may be found to be messy at times, but always clean. We sometimes have a clothes airer up in the kitchen, particularly in the autumn and winter months. If mess bothers you, or you just want to relax in your own space, then there are little folding tables in your room for you to eat at. Your bedroom and the bathroom will always be clean and well presented. We have good mobile phone reception here but of course will make our wifi available for any internet junkies! We have a couple of bikes available for hire, a mountain bike and a hybrid, both small/medium size. We can supply locks and helmets too, plus maps/advice about the best local routes. Please ask if you want any more details. Prices are £5 each per day, and we're happy to negotiate a discount if you want them for a few days. Amy works as a complementary therapist, so if you're feeling tired, stressed out, or just wanting some tlc whilst you're away from home, you can book in for therapeutic massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, ear candling, aromatherapy massage and aromatherapy facials too, mere steps away from your bedroom door. She is insured and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies, so you can be confident of being in good hands. Costs for the above therapies are as follows: Reflexology - £20 Indian Head massage - £18 Ear Candling - £15 Massage (Swedish, Aromatherapy, Acupressure and Neuromuscular): £15 for 30 mins; £18 for 45 mins; £22 for 60 mins.     We live on a quiet street so you'll be able to hear birds singing, which is always nice. For the more adventurous (preferably with sensible walking boots) you can explore the fields to the back of us and get some great views of the local area. There is a local convenience store 5 minutes walk away (which also has a cash machine) plus several take-aways and a small community cafe are about 15 minutes walk away (or a couple of minutes by car).

The entire apartment was super clean. Ryan is a very nice guy who lives in a lovely spacious flat in a historical building with high ceilings and big windows and has the most adorable dog you can imagine. All mattresses are hand made by Millbrook beds. The 18ft living room has a corner sofa that can be made up as a double bed. All rooms are fitted with thermal blackout blinds. There are two washrooms in the way of a down stairs WC and upstairs Bathroom which has both a Bath and Shower. The main living area has a 32” tv and WiFi is available throughout the property and the kitchen dinner is fully equipped for your stay including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and oven. Off road parking on a private drive as well as a garage can be available on request. Garage can be rented out as airport parking on request.
    The property is situated on an elevated plot surrounded by trees on two sides. The residential area is quite and close to local amenities.
  • Fantastic convenient location, close to groceries and some great takeaways. Short drive to Braehead shopping centre and not far from train stations that can take you straight into Glasgow. Great for a family.

  • Stairs are steep. I couldn't figure out how to turn the shower on. For you Americans, you have to pull the cord first. Then it works great. The location was perfect for us. Close to Loch Lomond and Glasgow. We would stay there again.
