Places to stay in Lossiemouth
I provide a special accommodation in a secluded area of a private property with a small beach, a sheltered seating areas and a hot tub. The hot tub is a 2000 litre whisky barrel, heated by a wood burning stove. Please let me know in advance and for an extra £ 30, I will have it ready for you. You are welcome to share my cottage including the use of the kitchen and bathroom. If you are a slightly bigger group, please don't hesitate to ask and I do my best to make it possible.
If your dream is to spent some time in a Tipi, you have found a very quiet and peaceful place. . My place is a mile away from the main road and is located on a dead end. Almost no noise or light pollution. I only have one neighbour, a very friendly couple with a lovely dog. I`m living 5 miles from the Findhorn Foundation and 6 miles from the towns of Forres and Elgin. A bus leaves from the top of the road. If you want to be completely looked after i'm also a tour guide. http://www.experience-Scotland-differently.com If you like to be in total control of how you want to spend your day and change it to your needs and wants you can relax and enjoy my service (-: I`m also living in the best climate zone of Scotland and a very ancient place, packed with history. Morayshire is also home for the biggest whisky trail and many famous whiskies, not to mention some of the best golf courses. I`m close to mountains, rivers, the sea, caves, castles.......... So the area is perfect for many outdoor activities, wildlife ( the most northern Dolphins....) and beautiful countryside and the home of the first People in Scotland- the Pict's. The list is long and in the end you have to make up your own mind and check it out. I`m looking forward to looking after you and if you are cool I would love to introduce you to many great friends in the country including the only hobbit in the Highlands and the longest Loch Ness Monster Hunter. cheers Torsten
My property is in a very quiet location and I'm still creating a magic place of beauty and tranquility. I have one neighbour directly beside my place. A family with one boy and a very lovely dog. Otherwise nobody else can pass by because the road ends on my car park. It is very safe and surrounded by fields. Right now I'm building a hot tub and an outdoor kitchen. I also have a pergola with a cosy hideaway on top of the roof ( look at the picture ) The kitchen is small. Otherwise you are sharing my place and not everything is perfect. I'm a single guy (((-:
  • It was brilliant, really peacefull and quiet up there, yo got everything you need to have a few nice days (bbq, hot tub, bonfires, and silence!) Also Torsten knows everything around if you feel like exploring into beach caves and stuff like that you will enjoy!!!

    Manuel2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We initially had difficulty in finding the property ! Sat nav took us in a different direction.. Torsten was quick in responding to give us prompt directions. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great location, quiet, tranquil. I came home personally very chillaxed :) Torsten was a great host. Explained everything throughly where all amenities was. Nothing was a bother for him. We declined the hot tub due to the weather (windy). Torsten helped with the tepee fire so we could have toasted marshmallows. I forgot sticks & he provided them !The tepee is in beautiful well maintained surrounding. It is basic & rustic. If you want to get away from everything it’s worth a jaunt too. Yes we are going back. On behalf of my group of friends we thnx you Torsten :)

And even better we are only four miles from Lossiemouth and five miles from Elgin. We look forward to welcoming you soon. If Gable cottage is booked up please search 'Winnow Cottage' it’s right next door, south facing and slightly larger. Search ‘mossyards’ on Instagram to see more pictures.

Very quiet surroundings with beautiful countryside and no neighbours in sight.
  • Full kitchen capabilities were a lovely touch. The proximity to beaches and cities was great as well. The homemade jam and treats upon arrival were delicious and helpful after a long drive. Graham and his wife were open and welcoming. Must return!

    Katie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a couple of nights over New Year being familiar with the area. Graham’s place was perfect for what we needed and gave us a great break.

    Tim2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage - a beautiful rose in our bedroom, local butteries and jam amongst an assortment of other items for breakfast - this really is a highly recommended stay!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Gable End in Duffus - the location was great and the cottage was just what we had in mind.

    Christopher2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cottage with a personal touch...with thoughtful gestures such as flowers on the table, cupboards stocked for breakfast and tea and coffee. We felt at home and it was a perfect base from which to explore the Moray Firth coastline.

    Jane2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at this lovely little cottage. There is plenty to do in the surrounding countryside and great places to eat and visit if the weather doesn't cooperate. The cottage was very comfortable and clean and the little touches such as cut flowers from the garden and breakfast made it feel extra welcoming. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet break away.

  • Gable Cottage is a comfortable, relaxing place to stay.

    Carol2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely dog friendly cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The cottage had everything you need including fresh milk and butteries for breakfast, topped off with lovely homemade plum jam. The wildlife in the garden were a joy to observe and the surrounding area was perfect for a relaxing trip. Lots of long forest walks. Graham and Carleen were excellent hosts and we would recommend staying here. We'll be back!

  • A great place to stop over, Bill’s hospitality makes it a welcoming and comfortable stay with everything you need.

    Laura2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed three nights with Bill at 7 Malin Place and really enjoyed our stay. Bill is very friendly and quickly made us feel at home. We loved the house, it is really quirky and filled with some fantastic memorabilia and collections from Bill's travels. We had two bedrooms - a twin and a double. Both were imaculate and very comfortable. We loved the extra touches in the rooms, the extra power extensions and sockets made things so much easier. We had a bathroom to ourselves. There were numerous toiletries supplied and a great power shower and jacuzzi bath, We slept so well here and it was only the amazing full Scottish breakfasts that Bill made us each morning that got us out of bed in the morning. We loved the breakfasts and they were so big they kept us going all day. Loved the banter with Bill over breakfast, he really made us smile. What a funny guy and so knowledgeable about so many subjects including the area. Staying here would suit business or leisure travellers, we loved the house and host and will stay here again when next in the area. We would have not hestitation in recommending this airbnb to anyone.

Corgi Cottage is located in the heart of the old fishermen's quarter of Seatown in Lossiemouth. The 200 year old cottage is less than 500 yds from the golden rolling sand dunes of Lossie Beach and is just a short stroll from the pine forest surrounding Spynie Canal. The extensive woods and beach at Roseisle and the beautiful eco-friendly village of Findhorn are just a short drive along the coast.
Please respect the fact that this is a quiet residential area and that guests will be expected to supervise their pets at all times. There is a fenced garden to the front. Please ensure you read the house manual as it contains important information essential for your stay

A light and airy house in neutral colours. Bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. There is an electric shower over the bath. Central location. Short walk from two sandy beaches. Many nearby golf courses. Near the whisky trail. Dogs/cats etc welcome. Travel cot and high chair available on request.
There is an enclosed garden to keep little ones safe, and pets enclosed. It's not a very high wall/fence. An active child or pet could escape if they wanted. It is a 50 meter walk down the lane to a viewpoint where you may see all the old village of Lossiemouth, including the birthplace of Ramsey Macdonald. You can see the river Lossie from the kitchen door, and it is only across a bank of dunes from the Moray Firth
  • A brilliant spot to get the most out of Lossiemouth, the place was clean and had everything we needed as a young family. Gavin was on hand prior to our arrival to answer any questions and greeted us on the day, showed us the basics and left us with some shortbread and tea! A brilliant host and a beautiful, clean place. Thanks Gavin, we’ll certainly be back

    Ashley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gavin’s place is not fancy but is very clean and comfortable, and excellent value for money. He responded super fast to our questions. We used the house as a base while visiting family nearby so didn’t spend a lot of time here, but really enjoyed the views (and Lossie chippy!). Thanks Gavin, hope you won’t mind if we come again.

    Rowan2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house. Great host. Perfect. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back and recommend to friends.

    Kerry2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Situated as it is in Lossiemouth, Gavin's house is ideally situated for exploring the town and wider area around the north east, a beautiful part of Scotland. We have previously stayed at Gavin's house and made a conscious effort to return because of the high standard of accomodation in terms of location, amenities, cleanliness and value. Highly recommended.

No.6 Seatown is a traditional fisherman’s cottage, built around 1850, and originally a thatched bungalow. 6 Seatown provides comfortable and cosy accommodation in a stunning location, just opposite the bridge to the fabulous East Beach and an easy walk to the woods along the river’s edge. The cottage has a ground floor king size double bedroom and bathroom as well as the lounge/dining area and open plan kitchen. This makes it ideal for couples, those with young families, or those with limited mobility. Due to their low ceilings, the rooms upstairs are only really suitable for younger children, but there is a twin bedroom and ‘snug’ room with a second TV. 6 Seatown is cosy and intimate and has a sheltered and secluded garden. There is on street parking in front of the cottage and all modern amenities such as WiFi, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Your four legged friends are welcome and will love the walks from the door. The village of Lossiemouth is compact, but has the necessary shops, restaurants and pubs. It is ideal, not just for a beach, golfing or fishing holiday, but also for touring the Malt Whisky and Castle trails, as well as longer day trips to places such as the Cairngorms National Park or Loch Ness.
The cottage is a real home from home, where we hope you will feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Seatown is the old fishing area, with it's narrow lanes and quaint cottages, accessed by a quiet cul-de-sac, so there is little through traffic. However it is within an easy walking distance of the esplanade with its ice cream shops and restaurants, and the town centre. It is also directly opposite the iconic footbridge over the River Lossie to the stunning sands of the East Beach.
  • A lovely sea side cottage , ideal location for beaches , shops and pubs .Exceptionally well equipped with thoughtful touches . Absolutely spotless with comfy beds and a "home from home " feel. Super hosts and would definitely return.

  • At David’s place you can expect to find a very clean, spacious garden flat. You have your own entrance, but reassuringly David is very close by, but never in your space. The completely walled garden was a safe place to let our lively working cocker spaniel out in. Plenty of towels, all the mod cons you would expect, large decked patio etc etc.... l would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Lossiemouth....

2 bedroom static caravan situated on Burghead beach caravan park. 2 minute walk to beach with sea views from window and private decking. 7 mile beach with woodland walks from Burghead to Findhorn. Small children's play area on site and use of site laundry facilities. 5 minute walk to village and local amenities.
Park is situated on the beach with spectacular views of the moray firth where the resident bottlenose dolphins can be seen frequently. The moray firth is home to the largest bottlenose dolphins in the world and we have frequent visits from Orca, humpback and minke whales and basking sharks . Burghead hosts a unique Fire festival called The Clavie which is always held on the 11th January bringing in "our new year".
  • Lovely peaceful retreat right next to the beach and very nearby the woodland walks. We enjoyed our stay very much. Cosy warm clean caravan. Loved the little touches of Christmassy hot water bottles& winter bedding and the yummy shortbread thanks. Will definately return hopefully soon!

  • My friend and I were up for residential week at Uni and it was just perfect for us. It was 10 minuites from Elgin for uni which was really handy. It was also a perfect size for us both to study and spread our books out. All the amenities were there for us to make our dinner etc and the double bed in particular was extremely comfy. It was really cold on a few of the nights we were there but the heating in the caravan kept us nice and toasty. It was also in the most perfect spot. You are straight onto a gorgeous beach which if your into your bird spotting, it's a delight. You are also able to walk through the woods onto Rosilie beach which we never had time to do but there is always next time. Definitely will be back with the kids and my mum as they would love it and for walking its nice and easy ground for my mum.

  • Everything is ok except that we arrived at 22h and there was no toilet paper and we would appreciate a coffee maker. A big problem with the wifi, we use our entire Internet package. Beware of the alarm clock at 6am because no awning in the rooms. Despite all the mobile home is quite large and fits perfectly. The view was great.

Lovely apartment situated in the popular coastal village of Hopeman near Elgin, Morayshire. It consists of a bed/sitting room, kitchen/dining room and a shower/wc. 5 minutes walk from beautiful sandy beaches. It is 2 nights minimum stay. Sleeps 2 (+2 in sofa bed in same room)
Our welcoming home was the original school in Hopeman, dating around early 1800's. The apartment was the first classroom and is one of the oldest buildings in Hopeman. The village was started by fisherman who travelled along the coast from Ardersier, near Inverness. The apartment is a tastefully decorated in simple Swedish style. It has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room over looking our colourful garden. The bed/sitting room, with wet room we off offers an extremely comfortable (so our guests say!) double bed but also a small sofa bed which could easily accommodate 2 children at £10 extra per person. We can also provide a travel cot for babies/infants. There is a little 'starter food/breakfast' but there are a few shops nearby for your needs. It has a separate entrance from our accommodate so guests are free to come and go at their leisure.
Hopeman is a small friendly village on the Moray Coast Trail situated 6 miles from the Cathedral City of Elgin. 1 hour from Inverness and just under 2 hours from Aberdeen. With its beautiful sandy beaches and hidden coves within walking distance, it really is quite a gem! There are cycle/walking paths to the neighbouring villages of Duffus with it's castle ruins and Burghead - the latter being of particular interest to historians as it was built upon a Pictish Fort. The former is also home to GORDONSTOUN SCHOOL - therefore our apartment offers a handy bolt hole for leave out weekends, prospective pupils weekends or even for the interview candidate. Burghead has a working harbour where there are still number of fishing boats is a photographers' delight. Burghead has a visitors centre on the headland which has a fascinating look into the Picts, the annual, world famous 'burning of the Claivie and of course the history of the fishing industry in bygone days. Cycling/walking woods and forests are only 5 minutes drive/20 minutes cycle. Lossiemouth to the East has a water sports activity centre and is a surfing paradise for the active tourist. We are surrounded in golf courses -Hopeman, the Championship course of Moray (in Lossiemouth) and Nairn are all within 40minutes drive. The coastal trial is a joy to behold and a stroll to catch the evening sunset could even provide DOLPHINS. The Moray Firth is home to the fun loving bottle nose dolphins and these can often be seen near the shore on a calm day. Along the coastal path towards Lossiemouth offers the incredible site of little coves and bays with their many natural stacks. These are home to the Elegant Fulmer - a joy to see in its glided flight. Those interested in a 'dram' will not be disappointed! There are numerous distilleries to choose from in Moray and its neighbours. This is big whisky country! Hopeman holds a large annual gala in July which is one of the longest in Scotland - held over one week and offers activities for 0-90 year olds and holiday makers and villagers alike plan their annual leave around the dates. We look forward to giving you a warm, friendly, welcome! Jo and Malcolm

The weather was atrocious but honestly once indoors we felt cosy and totally relaxed. Will definitely be a returning holidaymaker.

  • Divine digs was the perfect base for 4 of us working in the area for a month - great place with communal lounge/diner - either end of the street leads to beautiful beaches (one with great surfing hire) - Susan was lovely to communicate with - fully recommend!

  • We have just returned from a fabulous stay in Lossiemouth at Susan’s Devine Digs. The house was a great size for 4 adults, a child and a baby (we were very appreciative of the travel cot provided) and it was well stocked with books, dvds and games. It was clean and tidy and close to all the amenities that we required. The outside area was perfect for sitting and relaxing in the afternoon and evening sunshine. Susan is a great communicator and ensured that our stay was smooth and problem free. I would recommend Susan and her property really highly and have no doubt that we will return on our next visit to the area. Thank you.

  • A beautiful house in center of Lossiemouth and no issues or concerns I would recommend Susan’s place to any visitors who are looking for a lovely base to travel around Moray area.

  • A really well equipped and spacious home from home. Had lots of lovely features, was very clean and well located; the harbour, beach areas and ice cream parlours were all within an easy walking distance.

  • Devine Digs is a fantastic house, in a great location offering everything and more that you would need for a long weekend away. A return family visit to Lossiemouth after 40 years, Devine Digs is the perfect place to stay, hopefully not another 40 years until our return.. Thank you

    Ruth2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was a fantastic host and the home was of a very high standard. I would not hesitate in recommending Devine digs to anyone thinking of spending time in Lossiemouth.

  • A great house for friends and family with pubs and shops in easy walking distance. were surprised at how spacious it is.

    Steven2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place is very comfortable and clean with plenty of room and 2 bathrooms. It is in a great location: half a block from a market and there are many take-away places and restaurants within walking distance. Often we walked to the nearby beaches to enjoy a leisurely stroll or climbing on the rocks. There are many great things to see within a short drive from Lossiemouth, too!

Kris and Aundrea were the perfect hosts, Kris is a wiz in the kitchen and they are both great conversationalists over a dram! if we are ever back in the area we hope to stay in the little church again.

  • Ian was very helpful throughout our stay and would response to our queries very quickly. All 5 of us as physiotherapist students thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had no issues for the 6 weeks. I would definitely stay here again! Just a shame we never got to enjoy Burghead like we should have due to being in the hospital a lot.

  • Brilliant location and a wonderful village to visit. Lots of local history and lots of amenities to hand. A beautiful harbour which is just around the corner from the property and a beach to spend the time walking on or running, dog walking. A couple of pubs and right next door you have the Harbour Inn with the most delightful delicious food you can enjoy and very reasonable priced. Two local shops well stocked. You are very close to big shops supermarkets in Elgin just a 10 minute drive. You will not be disappointed with Burghead me and my girls love the place.

Kingston is situated next to the mouth of the river Spey, an area of natural beauty and great for bird watching or dolphin spotting. There are plenty of walks along the coast and inland which can be made straight from the house; also lots of opportunities for cycling, golf, fishing ........... or just relaxing! We are 20 minutes from Elgin and just 10 minutes by car from Baxters or Gordon Castle, both with good restaurants. For something closer there is Garmouth's pub and cafe .
Guests have their own private entrance to a self contained large extension on the side of the house. This is made up of a twin bedroom, a sitting room with TV, a breakfast room and a shower /toilet. Guests are free to come and go as they please and to explore the lovely countryside around Kingston.
  • Great stay in this apartment on 2 floors which is spacious and good value for money . Quietly located in Kingston and great for walking/cycling/exploring the Moray coast or Speyside way. Good breakfast provided aswell and Jenny was very helpful.

  • Lovely, well presented annex. Breakfast area and bathroom downstairs overlooking garden with a cosy sitting room and bedroom upstairs. Beds were very comfortable, towels and bathroom extras great and a lovely breakfast is included. We had a lovely stay.

    Rene2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyable annex. Comfy beds, lots of space and a nice simple breakfast. Would stay again!

    Euan2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Tim's place is full of character, very peaceful and we loved the garden we looked onto. Would have loved to stay longer!

    Gabrielle2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this place when deciding not to camp for an event we were going to. However we didn't realise that it is a house on 2 floors with spacious rooms, home comforts, marvellous light and lovely views of the beautiful gardens complete with speyside birdlife which are many and varied. It is also close to the sea where dolphins and seals are frequent visitors. The host is super. She lays out a generous breakfast each morning which makes you feel very special and welcome. Communication is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. From here we discovered Speyside! A hidden gem in Scotlands treasures! Beautiful beaches, walking and cycling routes. We won't hesitate to book again!

    Helen2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Tim were excellent hosts. As I failed to notice that there were no cooking facilities they very kindly let me use their microwave and oven on different evenings as I had brought a load of food with me. They were sweet to our dog, and gave us tips on local walks and places to go. We really enjoyed the setting with their fabulous yard and the 2 min walk to the beach. The area was really gorgeous.

    Candace2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great although short stay at Jenny’s place. She is very welcoming and the area is lovely! We strongly recommend.

  • We loved this stylish and comfortable space, set by a gorgeous garden. Jenny and Tim were helpful, charming hosts too. They guided us towards a beach walk and the local coffee shop, and introduced us to their delightful dogs. What more...?

The bathroom has an over bath shower and mirrored cabinet with shaver point. The bedrooms have double bed in each. Bedroom 1 has mirrored wardrobes, 2 bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and tv. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, bedside table and wardrobe. The Lounge has an l-shaped sofa and freeviewTV. Fire stick is available for use if you already have an Amazon account. • Very well presented cosy place in a good location for access to central Elgin. Sheila was a great host and responded quickly to all queries we had. All in all a great place to stay in Elgin.

    Lawrence2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space which is fresh and clean and with plenty of room in a quiet neighbourhood (but a garage across the road for easy late shopping!). Sheila is a friendly host, thank you!

    Kim2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Shelia’s place was perfect for our needs. It was beautifully furnished and the heating made it lovely and cosy in the winter cold. Communication was quick and any issues were quickly sorted. Would definitely choose to stay here again:)

    Andrew2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very well equipped and modern comfortable place to stay which is also very convenient for Elgin and nearby. Sheila has gone to a lot of trouble to make it welcoming with an exceptionally informative folder of details and really good basic supplies so that if you arrive after closing, there is enough to eat and drink etc till able to buy provisions. She has thought of everything.

    Charlotte2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • I was up in Elgin for work for a few days and Sheila’s accommodation was the perfect place for my stay. The home had everything I needed and Sheila was an excellent host. Her communication was fantastic and her checkin instructions made locating and accessing the accommodation very easy. Sheila made sure I had everything I needed and assured me she was a phone call away if I had any issues. Sheila even made the time out of her schedule to come visit me at the house to make sure everything was going well which was a great personal touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Elgin and would definitely stay again myself.

This cosy cottage sits in the heart of the peaceful fishing village of Burghead. Sea, forest, costal walks and the official start of the Speyside Whisky trail. There are many golf courses within a few miles. This stay is for those who seek a comfortable homely break. It is also for those who love nature and the outdoors. Burghead is unpretentious with a unique beauty for those that appreciate such things.
Light, quiet, tastefully decorated room with comfortable double bed. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room (sometimes a chocolate or biscuit finds its way to the tea tray ;)). The Guest accommodation and facilities are all on the ground floor. Towels, soap and a hairdryer are provided. To ensure you enjoy a "get away from it all" stay, there is no TV!
Friendly, peaceful fishing village surrounded by the sea. Great local pub by the harbour and well reputed local Bistro in the main street. Very convenient base to sample the famous Speyside whisky trail, dolphin and seal watching, golf, indulge in some watersport or walk the stunning Moray Costal Way. Roseisle Forest is also a wonderful place to spend a day walking and picnicking. There are three places to eat in town but the only one which serves meals on Sunday evenings is the Station Hotel. The Harbour Inn is open for drinks every night but only serves food Monday to Saturday from 5pm to 7.00pm. The Bothy is open for meals in the evening on Friday and Saturday only and can get very busy so booking is recommended. Local shops include the Co-Op, Post Office and a small pharmacy, that's basically it! The towns of Elgin, Lossiemouth and Forres are all a 15 minute (9-11 mile) drive away.
  • Valentina was a great host! The apartment was easy to find and the room was very clean. Wifi was fast. Even though you have a shared front door with Valentina, you have your own bathroom and enough privacy. She was very welcoming and gave us local tips. She even put out breakfast for us. Nothing bad to say, would recommend!

  • Thank you so much to Tina for our comfortable stay in her beautiful home. Although we did partake in the offer of the use of the kitchen, we appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Overlea Cottage is roomy but very cosy and homely with an open fire. It has an enclosed garden with a small patio area. Situated in the centre of town, although very peaceful and safe. Near to the beaches, harbour and golf course.

  • The cottage is cosy, cheerfully decorated with modern conveniences, and well located within the town. There were so many special touches that made it stand out, like a bottle of wine, coffee, and even homemade pies from Lesley's mother on our arrival. Lesley was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. Overall we had a wonderful time at Overlea and highly recommend both the property and Lesley.

    Martin2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and thoughtful touches. Definitely the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in. Thank you.

    Luisa2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Overlea on first sight is deceptive - it looks a modest size from the outside but is extremely spacious and very well appointed. Everything thing you need to enjoy your stay is there from an excellent WIFI signal to numerous board games to play with. A huge plus is the cottage being dog friendly, which combined with the high standards throughout, ensures that this is our destination of choice when we make our regular visit to Lossie. Let’s hope the bridge is back in working order when we return as the beaches are stunning

    Barrie2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • I doubt that anywhere in the world of AirBnb will you find a better property than this one. From the subtle touches like a personal meeting on arrival and of course the fantastic home baked cake, there was several other arrival 'gifts' for us to sample! The house is like a Tardis - small and quaint from the outside, but HUGE once you've stepped through the front door. The garden wraps itself around the property and is as secure and private as you could possibly get. Inside, literally EVERY whim is catered for .. there's a spacious front room and an even bigger kitchen/diner with an adjacent utility room with a washing machine for more extensive stays - you WILL wish you've booked for longer! The whole house is SPOTLESSLY clean and tidy and you WILL feel at home the moment you've arrived ... It truly is a jewel in the crown that is Lossiemouth and the Moray Coast. My wife and I WILL be booking again very soon so don't dawdle!

A former fisherman’s cottage with spectacular sea views over the Moray Firth and beyond. We are next to the coastal walk and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants & bus stop, there is also a play park nearby for children. We are a 5 min walk to Moray Golf Club, East Beach and the Marina. The location of the cottage is a perfect base from where you can explore the Speyside Whisky Trail, the Scottish Highlands and the beautiful beaches & fishing villages of Scotlands North East Coast.
The space is all on the same level, bedroom 1 has 2 single beds, bedroom 2 has a double bed. Should you request then we can provide a fold down single bed which would be situated in the living room.
The neighbourhood is generally quiet with very little passing traffic, there is a children's play park about 50 metres to the west of the property. Beyond the play park there is a restaurant and lounge, however due to a serious fire it is presently closed.

  • Lovely stay in a quaint location. Beautiful little cottage which offered ample space for us (myself, husband and daughter). It is situated right next to a park and over looks the sea! Beautiful views and it really does have a Scottish feel to it. James was very attentive host and we have no complaints!
