  • "Compact" but I had everything I wanted. The weather was very wet (not my host's fault), so I really appreciated having a clean, warm and dry base. Thanks.

  • Such a treat! A great place to get a peaceful rest and break from city life. Had everything I needed in the room, just needed myself and food to complete my perfect stay. It is very remote which is exactly what I was looking for but would suggest planning your travel very carefully if you aren’t.

  • Amazing little cabin, had such a great weekend away.

  • Cute private little cabin. Got quite cold at nights (February) but I brought a blanket and fluffy pyjamas so was alright! Overall everything was pleasant and well presented, a nice little shed with everything you need for a trip away.

  • Clint's place was a lovely hideaway in the midst of the beautiful Cotswolds. It was clean and cosy with all the necessary amenities for two. It was lovely.

  • Up there with my favourite ever air b&b stays!! The cabin is lovely and Clint was the perfect host I highly recommend

  • I loved staying at this cute cabin! Bit adventurous in winter perhaps, but the electric fire provided warmed the room up very quickly. The countryside location, garden outlook. easy parking and privacy (no overlooking properties) all contributed to a great stay. Nice pub on your doorstep too and local people very friendly and welcoming. For an alternative, comfortable Airbnb stay in a typical English village, I happily recommend you stay here. (Perhaps a quick mention that the bathroom isn't heated and the entrance is external to the bedroom so you need to step out a few steps to the side across the decking to access)

    Monique2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking to explore the village or Bath in general or for a quiet private getaway from the city crowd or just a lovey stay for 2, this is the perfect place with all you need in one little hut!! highly recommend !

Welcome to our cosy cottage in the Cotswolds. The cottage was built in the 1820’s so its traditional and full of character with all the modern amenities. It has 2 bedrooms, a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, power shower, central heating and a traditional open fire. The cottage is situated 10 metres from the local pub and local shop. There is a private front garden to enjoy with a BBQ. Location wise it is a 35 minute drive into Bath & Bristol. Castle Coombe is a 15 minute drive.
Luckington is a village and civil parish in the southern Cotswolds, in north-west Wiltshire, England, about 6 1⁄2 miles (10 km) west of Malmesbury. The village is on the B4040 road linking Malmesbury and Old Sodbury. The parish is on the county border with Gloucestershire and includes the village of Alderton and the hamlet of Brook End. The Cotswolds are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which means it is recognised as containing some of Britain's finest countryside. As such it is protected as a special landscape of national importance. The area covers 790 square miles, of which some 80% is farmland. The region is delineated by the belt of rich limestone – the source of building materials for cottages, fine buildings and churches. The limestone Cotswold stone in the northern Cotswolds is a rich honey coloured brown which gradually grades creamier towards the south at Luckington. Badminton House is just across the county border, about 1 3⁄4 miles (2.8 km) southwest of Luckington village. Parkland of the Badminton estate extends a short distance into Luckington parish
make sure you check out the pub! great food and drink! you can also get your food to go!
  • We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely look to return. Easy check in process and the location is ideal. The cottage is seconds away from the local pub just across the road and on the first night after arriving we ate there. It was easy to park near the Airbnb and to drive to nearby areas such as Castle Combe and Cirencester for days out. Also easy to get to the arboretum at Westonbirt . There are lots of local walks in the area (bring adequate walking shoes or wellies in the wetter months!). There were tea and coffee facilities in the cottage and the central heating was easy to control. There is also a stunning fireplace and great to use on a stormy night. The kitchen was well equipped and included a dishwasher, oven and microwave. Tip if you’re over 6ft tall - watch your head as you go from the living room into the hallway! Thank you for a great stay :)

  • The perfect place to stay for a restful and peaceful weekend. We will be recommending the pods to just about anyone who will listen! The pod is sparkling clean and such a great use of space. It feels homely and cosy as soon as you arrive. Fantastic facilities to cook and enjoy meals with plenty of cutlery and silverware provided. The hot tub is easy to use and very relaxing and positioned perfectly with privacy. Also highly recommend Zinga Indian takeaway who delivered to the gate very quickly, the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back to the Ashlea Lakeside Retreat.

Walnut Cottage is a bright, cheerful spacious annexe to our family home, decorated in a neutral palette with splashes of colour. Converted from an old dairy in the 90s, it underwent total renovation in 2017. My family and I then lived in it for a year whilst renovating our house. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed and there are single beds in the second bedroom. The large sitting room has oak floors throughout and a wood burning stove.
Luckington is ideally suited for exploring Bath and Bristol (both about 30 mins drive away) and the Cotswolds. Westonbirt arboretum is a 10 minute drive, the market town of Malmesbury 15 minutes and Tetbury with its world class selection of antiques shops is also about 15 minutes away. The annexe is ideally suited for Badminton Horse Trials, in fact, its walkable or a less than 5 minute car drive.
  • What a lovely cottage and a real gem of an Airbnb find! Absolutely perfect for a weekend break in the cotswolds. Communication with Sharon was really easy and then once we arrived, the cottage had everything you could ask for. Beautifully decorated with plenty of space and really comfortable beds and sofa. Lovely local pub which served good food less than 5 min walk away. After a day out cycling, was lovely to come and relax with the fire on. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

    Sean2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds! Beautiful accommodation, great location and Sharon was a great host. I recommend a stay here!

  • Wonderfully cosy and stylish property. Very comfortable beds, lovely towels, log burner a very nice addition. Great views all around. We really hope to come again in better weather and do some local walks. Perfect for visiting Tetbury, Westonbirt, Bath and more. Highly recommended.

  • This air bnb is beautiful. The views are incredible and it’s an extremely stylish place. We particularly loved using the wood burner to keep us cosy in the evenings. I think the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever had. Sharon was on hand to help with any requests we had and was extremely helpful with local tips. The flat in the perfect base to have in the Cotswolds!

  • Gorgeous little pod. Instructions provided ensured finding the location and was easy and check-in was simple. All the essentials included, cutlery, glasses, tea, coffee, etc. Only issue we had was trying to fit the key in the key box at the end of our stay but maybe that was just us! 😊

    Rachel2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and tidy on arrival, very easy check in and easy to find. Space is very well utilised and the cabin has everything you need for a weekend away from towels to a fully equipped kitchen. The hot tub was prepared on arrival with clear instructions for use.

    Alisha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little pod with all you need to have a lovely relaxing stay. We loved watching the ducks float around and we were even lucky enough to see a deer from the hot tub. Bath is only a 25 minute drive so we nipped in one day for a spot of lunch and sight seeing. Highly recommend!

    Alice2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rachaels place is beautiful, quiet, clean and the perfect little getaway, the pod was charming, we had everything we needed and more! I can’t wait to come back, highly recommended!

    Holly2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay and this is a really well designed pod. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was lovely. We really liked the little seasonal touches like a xmas themed cushion, christmas tree with lights and wreath by the jacuzzi. The kitchen was as expected and we were prepared to cook without an oven. It was really nicely designed and cooking utensils were good (frying pan, pot, cutlery etc). We took our own wok and bowls as I knew they wouldnt have my preferred cooking pan, but everything they had was of good quality. Underfloor heating worked a treat and the view from the bed is wonderful and well thought through. Location is very peaceful and idylic and I was impressed by the positioning of the pod and jacuzzi- very private ensuring no one over looks you. Chiminea was a nice luxury and lovely to sit by in the evenings. Based on our experience we would stay again.

  • Absolutely beautiful place, so peaceful if you just want to switch off from the world. The hot tub was amazing and was so nice to look up to the moon and the stars. Communication with the host was amazing and the place was spotless. Loved the little touches like she put a few Christmas things in there to make it a little festive. Beautiful place to stay I 100% recommend it.

Beautiful character farm house Annex, built circa 1820. Recently renovated to a very high standard. Stone floors and reclaimed elm floorboards. Well appointed modern kitchen. Jacuzzi bath for that added luxury. Includes wood burner with logs (FOC). Own private garden. Ample parking. Rural setting with beautiful countryside walks. Excellent country pub within walking distance. Location 5 minutes from junction 18. Great access to Bath, Bristol and Cotswolds. 1 hour 30 minutes to London.
Steep stairs to bedroom and bathroom. Under floor heating in stone floors. Sattelite TV. Tea, coffee and bread and butter will be provided. Kitchen includes dishwasher (tablets provides FOC), fan oven and hob. Cooking equipment all provided. All bed linen and towels provided and can be changed during a longer stay (+5 days) on request. We have a resident dog and 2 cats. They have no direct access into the Annex. We are happy to accept well behaved dogs who will be friendly to our animals and we would expect that guests will pick up after their own.
Country Pub in the village of Burton less than 1 mile walk and many others within 2 miles. We often have horses in the surrounding fields and we are surrounded by beautiful fields.
  • Ainslie’s annex was an absolute joy to stay in, she provided homely features, such as a smart TV with access to Sky movies and Netflix. As a host, she was extremely flexible and quickly responded to any questions. Being allowed to bring our dog made the stay even more enjoyable, with fabulous local walks and places to enjoy. The annex features an absolutely lovely sofa in front of the TV and fireplace which really tied the whole farm/country side atmosphere together. When we arrived the firewood had been stacked up ready to go, and every night we had the fire roaring away keeping us warm. The kitchen was fully kitted out with a full oven, functional work top and dish washer. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space in both large shelving and chest of drawers. Leading on from the bedroom was the finely furnished bathroom with a luxurious bath with built in jacuzzi feature meaning we could end each day of walking with a relaxing soak. One small thing that we did miss during our stay was the lack of full standing shower, this didn’t ruin our stay by any means, but was certainly missed in the mornings when we wanted a quick shower before starting our day, this was mitigated by the lovely aforementioned bath that did include a built in shower head, but no means to mount it to shower standing up. Finally, as people who were maybe somewhat dubious about staying in an annex with the fear of overbearing hosts, we can say that Ainslie gave us the space and privacy that we needed, but at the same time was quick to respond to messages and in general was there when we needed her. Overall, Nettleton was a quaint village with great footpaths and beautiful views, the perfect getaway for those who want to get away from the city. However there aren’t any shops immediately close by, so just be aware that you may need to travel a small ways to get food and other bits and pieces. The annex was a perfect little home away from home, great for a weekend away or a longer stay. Thanks Ainslie!

    Harriet2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this quaint, comfy cottage. Ainslie is a fabulous host & we will definitely be back again for the Christmas Markets in bath.

    Angela2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place. Close to Bristol and Bath, but far enough away to escape the rush (particularly during the Christmas market!) Really loved the building modern but warm and cosy as well, particularly the fireplace and bath. It is very comfortable and clean but it is the little touches like the milk, jam and bread that made it feel so amazing to stay at. I can't recommended enough and would absolutely stay at again!

    Vicky2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent cosy little cottage, perfect for a weekend away.

    Calum2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ainslie’s place is perfect! The annexe was wonderfully cosy, and the kitchen is really well-stocked with equipment. Ainslie was really helpful advising places we could go to, and also left birthday chocolates which was really sweet. The area itself is perfect- really great views of the countryside and lovey walks! Definitely would go back again

    Sanah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location near to Bath,Bristol and wonderful countryside with plenty of places to visit and explore. Anislie & Ben are great hosts and live in the main house adjoining. The Annex is spacious, beautifully clean and comfortably finished with well fitted kitchen with dining and comfortable lounge area with a lovely spacious bathroom and bedroom on first floor. Parking right outside Annex Should be noted that stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are steep

    Keith2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ainslie was very welcoming, super quick to respond and the annexe was well designed. We appreciated the welcome ingredients of bread, butter, milk and jam. Oil and condiments supplied too. The property is well insulated so cosy but logs were available for the stove. Well placed for accessing Bath, Bradford on Avon, Castle Coombe. Great pubs locally with very reasonably priced food. Get yourself an ordnance survey map to orientate yourself.

    Joyce2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Ainslies annex was exactly what I had been looking for: a quiet place all to my own, in the midst of a gorgeous landscape, however still close to everything one might need (cities Bath and Bristol, supermarkets, etc.) The fireplace was my best friend and the bath tub was just luxurious. I will most definitely try and come back again :)

  • This was our second time staying at Woodcock Farm. It's great! Brilliant location just off the M4 to visit Bristol, Bath and other local towns. We have a young family and there was plenty to do on rainy days. Plus, we had a fun walk to the nearby fort and then onto the Crosshands pub!

    Jenn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pod was exceptional! Very clean, cosy and we could’ve easily have stayed there for longer than just the few days we did! Couldn’t recommend more!

    Millie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant stay at the Kingfisher Pod - amazing facilities, amazing location and the pod was spotless! Perfect place to spend a weekend just relaxing and forgetting the outside world!

  • Idyllic, peaceful retreat. We loved our time here the cabin was a sanctuary tucked away in the peaceful countryside. We stayed as a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Close access to Bath (around 30 minute drive) but we easily could have stayed at the cabin quite happily as it had everything we needed! We can’t wait to visit again in the near future! Only one advisory, the shower wasn’t warm during our stay, the host is very quick to respond and did attempt to fix it but unfortunately it wasn’t successful, apart from that issue the rest of our stay was wonderful.

    Abigail2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! So clean and the underfloor heating is amazing. It was the middle of January and we were so toasty. The hot tub is such a nice bonus and the view of the lake. Lynn was always on hand to help us with anything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here!

    Elaine2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cabin. Absolutely exceeded expectations and was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was such a lovely added bonus and we loved the heated flooring. Chipping Sodbury has lots of great restaurants including an Italian, good British pub food and a Thai that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and will be back for the summer

    Kirsty2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little pod with everything that you can ever ask for. Was incredibly clean and furnished very nicely. Had a great few days away. The hot tub is an added bonus! Will definitely be returning in the future.

    Connor2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Kingfisher pod was a stunning little place to escape to! Surprisingly easy to find and super cosy to stay in. Clean and tidy and easy to find everything. The best bit, the hot tub! We were lucky to have two clear nights, there was no light pollution so stargazing while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing! The pod was lovely, it had pretty much all the things you need and the bed was super comfy. Such a great location, so peaceful. Great for nature lovers/ bird watchers...really enjoyed watching the cormorants and herons. Lynn was great at communicating and overall our stay was fantastic would recommend to anyone and everyone! Thank you Lynn!

  • The cottage is a beautifully renovated, peaceful place to explore the local area. I was there with 2 young children who were very comfortable on the sofa bed and we enjoyed exploring the area around Bath and Castle Combe. Definitely recommend adding on the local breakfast basket!

    Alison2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful comfortable place to stay. We loved hearing the farm animals close by. Very convenient for exploring the area although a car is needed. Lovely walks from the property.

    Dave2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Hall at Woodcock Farm is everything you could possibly want in a holiday let. It's in a quiet location but close to many places to visit. We were spoilt for choice. Caroline and Jason are great hosts and made everything work smoothly, from our first contact to our late arrival after a long and busy journey on a Bank Holiday Friday night. We could not have asked for more and the small touches of milk in the fridge and the essential staples in the kitchen were much appreciated. We will certainly be making a return visit.

    Helen2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice accommodation in a beautiful area and very friendly hosts. I would like to book again anytime.

    Astrid2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great, romantic 3 day break over Easter. Caroline had put milk in the fridge and there was essential cooking ingredients which came in handy. The space is great for a couple. We are outside on a table and chairs in the garden which was private (possibly the next door rental could have been sat outside near us had they been inclined) . We had private parking in front which is so convenient. This was the cleanest rental we have stayed at. The location was ideal. Caroline had given us a local taxi number and we got into Bath for 30pounds. There is a park and ride option at Lansdown (15 mins away) but we were having a proper meal with wine so this felt reasonable given the circumstances. We visited Dyrham Park and did a circular walk starting at Uley (20 mins away). Could have done an extra day or two easily.

    Ash2019-04-22T00:00:00Z

  • We visited Woodcock Farm in November for my partners birthday. The fire was a brilliant touch, the heating on, blanket provided and even a hot water bottle. We ordered the breakfast basket and with little notice but Caroline made this happen for us which was greatly appreciated. Caroline suggested the Cotswold Way walk as well as a variety of pubs in the area. We had a great walk and enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast in the area. After check out we then went to do some shopping in Bath which was only around a 20/25 minute drive so a great location. All in all we had a great stay and would absolutely return.

Old Sodbury Hillfort is an impressive Bronze to Iron age encampment atop the Cotswold Ridge. Not to mention it’s a working farm, Woodcock Farm. Fresh eggs, fresh bacon, fresh baked bread, milk, orange juice and a little dog named Archie. We had a lovely stay. We highly recommend Barn End. Thank you Caroline and Jason.

  • What a perfect place to stay! Can highly recommend little fosse farm for a relaxing stay out of the city. The house and property are in a fantastic location, with loads to see around and great local pubs close by. But Jane and Mark really made the stay!! Everything was so easy and we felt so welcomed. Would love to come again.

  • This is a hidden gem! Mark and Jane were phenomenal hosts. They went above and beyond with their tips on places to go in the Cotswolds. Breakfast was very hearty and filling and truly an English breakfast. We had great conversation with them as well. We would highly recommend staying here and if ever coming to the area we would stay here. The location is great if you are looking for a getaway away from it all but close enough to drive to the bigger places like Bath.

  • From check in to check out this stay was lovely! We arrived earlier than expected but Jane let us park our cars and load our luggage off so we were more comfortable. Gave us some amazing tips on local walks/restaurants/sights. The room was very comfortable and perfect for 3 friends. Breakfast was accommodated for as we are 3 vegetarians and vegetarian sausages were provided which was a nice touch. A lovely home and a lovely family - got to meet all the dogs, hens and feed the horses. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • Jane and Mark were wonderful hosts! The cottage was such a nice quaint clean and comfortable stay. It was a great place to stay to see Castle Combe and to get to near by towns from. Thanks Mark for the wonderful breakfast and for filling our heads with local history. Jane, wonderful tips and suggestions on places to go and where to eat. It was such a pleasure meeting you both. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

  • Jane was a wonderful host. The room was cosy and clean and we were greeted with tea and biscuits. We had a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning in their beautiful dining room. The food at the local pub was great. Will certainly book again if we are in the area.

The shower room is off the entrance hall and we provide fluffy bath towels and floor towels. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate is available, as is a toaster, kettle and mini fridge. We'll also provide a selection of breads, cereals and preserves as well as milk and fruit juice. TV and WiFi internet is also available. Didmarton is a charming village just ten minutes from junction 18 of the M4. It is part of the Badminton Estate, home of the Beaufort Hunt and the Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials which are held every year in May. The village pub is the Kings Arms and is perfect for lunch and dinner. Other good places to eat nearby are The Royal Oak at Leighterton, The Holford Arms, Calcot Manor, The Hare and Hounds and Hunters Hall. The market town of Tetbury is six miles to the north. Ever popular with tourists the town has many shops, restaurants and beautiful Cotswold buildings. If you like antiques then you’ll be in heaven as Tetbury has many fine antiques dealers and emporiums. Just south of Tetbury is the Highgrove estate, home to HRH The Prince of Wales. Tours of the estate gardens can be arranged during the summer months. Westonbirt Arboretum is close by and its stunning trees and canopy walks can be enjoyed all year round. In the summer months Westonbirt plays host to a series of concerts, this years line-up includes Elbow and Craig David (take your pick) Cirencester is thirty minutes away as is the Georgian city of Bath with its famous hot springs. The maritime city of Bristol is also only thirty minutes to the South West. Gloucestershire has more than its fair share of country houses many of which are run by the National Trust, closest to us are the Dyrham Park estate, Newark Park and the mysteriously abandoned Woodchester Mansion. Owlpen Manor is a delightful Tudor manor house with historic gardens and Minchinhampton Common is also worth a visit, it holds an annual kite festival at the end of May, but watch out for the cows!
  • My partner and I have had an amazing time at Emma and Andy’s place. It was very clean, breakfast was lovely and they even let us stay with our little miniature schnauzer. They left fresh flowers in our room and heated up our food for us too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cosy and immaculate place, close to some lovely villages and walking routes.

Beautiful garden cottage in the heart of the country and close to Badminton, Castle Combe, 12 miles from Bath and 18 miles from Bristol. We are close to the Cotwolds and have easy access to the M4 (5 minutes). Surrounded by a huge garden with ample parking. Countryside getaway in your own very little garden cottage separate from the main house. Double bedroom, bathroom and a newly fitted kitchen / living area. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Pets considered.
  • Really handy place. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Kate's place for a month whilst relocating to Bristol. Just the right size for a couple and had all the amenities you need. Excellent location to visit Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas. Quiet and peaceful spot with nice walking, cycling and a great pub down the road. Can't fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. Thanks.

    Andy2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is warm and cosy, and had everything we could have needed for the duration of our stay. It was perfect for our stay and we would be highly likely to stay here again if we end up going back to Bath. Highly recommended :)

    Gary2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect space for a couple of nights. Was everything we needed, cleaned and we'll laid out rooms that give you plenty of space (although for my 6 foot something partner the shower was a tad small but he survived) considering the small space it is. A warm and friendly greeting awaited us when we arrived. Thank you do much, we will definitely use again if in the area x

Grange Barn is a luxurious 2 bedroom, brand new converted barn in the picturesque Cotswold village of Leighterton, Tetbury. Finished with a rustic feel, and a modern twist. The barn comprises of two large bedrooms, both with wet room en-suites, and one with a free standing bath. Each bedroom also has a single sofa bed and is fitted with its own large smart TV. The Living area and one bedroom has a sky facility. Underfloor heating throughout. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Fully enclosed garden.
The barn conversion is a light and airy space, with all of its original features left for you to enjoy. We have kept the beautiful rustic beams through out the space along with many of the original stone walls exposed. This, I feel makes it a very special and unique place to stay. It has a very relaxing feel and well as feeling spacious. And with all the modern facilities you can truly unwind and relax.
Leighterton is a quaint village with an award winning pub called The Royal Oak and only a 5 minute drive from Calcot Hotel and Spa. Leighterton has great footpaths for walking and taking in the Cotswold scenery with Westonbirt Arboretum only a 30 minute walk from the property. A short drive to Tetbury high street and 30 minute drive (approx.) to Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham Centre.
  • My family and I spent the weekend at Lisa's lovely barn. A lot bigger than I expected and the space was filled with thoughtful little touches and all amenities you could need... 2 large bedrooms - with a hotel feel! The supermarket was a little drive but not a problem with a car. There is also a cosey pub withing minutes walk where we had amazing food. Check-in and out was very easy and communication was fast. I would highly recommend Lisas place and hope to be back again soon.

    Martina2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay. The barn is absolutely stunning! Beautifully designed and finished, plenty of space and super cosy! It is wonderfully positioned in the village of Leighterton with the Royal Oak pub (a 1 min walk down the road) doing fantastic food. We definitely plan to stay again. Thank you again! Spacious, private & self contained cottage for up to 4 in Beautiful & peaceful Sopworth. There are 2 good sized double bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen, sitting room, private garden and separate access, with key lock box. Perfect for a relaxing trip, within easy reach of various activities. Country walks and cycling from the doorstep, with local attractions including Tetbury, Cirencester, Bath, Bristol, Westonbirt Arboretum, Highgrove Gardens. Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials nearb.
The self contained cottage is a welcoming, comfortable and deceptively large space. It is fully equipped for a self catered stay, including all cooking equipment, small fridge, microwave, cooker ( hob and oven), access to washing machine, iron & board. Whilst the cottage is situated in the centre of the village, this is an extremely quiet village with little traffic disturbance. Your visit will be truly peaceful , no light pollution ( no street lights), and some fantastic night skies when it is clear. The space is perfect for a couple, friends or families, with space for up to 4 guests. The 2 bedrooms (one small double bed & one kingsize bed) and bathroom ( with bath and standing shower) are upstairs, with the kitchen and separate sitting room downstairs. The bathroom is separate and shared between the bedrooms, but you will always have sole use of the accommodation, whether you are using one or both bedrooms. We provide all towels/linen, for bathroom and kitchen. There is a welcome breakfast pack ( bread, butter, jam, milk, cereals) and tea and coffee: this is for your first breakfast, but may well last longer! Main access is via a separate, and lockable front door, solely for guests' use during their stay. Access to the garden is through the sitting room. Views from the bedrooms are to the street (quiet) at the front and in the double room, to the church at the rear; the sitting room looks into the garden. There is unrestricted, free street parking immediately outside the accommodation. There is Wifi & TV available in the cottage. If you want a complete break from household duties, there are some great pubs in the area. These are in neighbouring villages ( no pub or shop in Sopworth itself). You can take a wonderful, short walk to the nearest through the countryside, weather and season permitting. We would be happy to help with transport to and from any event ( weddings for example), or if you go out to a local pub: contact the host about pricing for this. We live next door, but our home is separated from the cottage/ annex by a locked interconnecting door, and you have the space to yourselves. So we are nearby if needed, but will leave you in peace otherwise. Normal check in is from 4pm - 10pm and check out by 10am. Early check in and late check out can be arranged at the host’s discretion. Key lock box can be used as necessary.
Sopworth is a small village in northwest Wiltshire, on the county's border with Gloucestershire. A wonderfully quiet and tranquil village, you will relish the peace. The village lies about 1.7 miles (2.7 km) west of Sherston and 6.5 miles (10 km) west of Malmesbury. It lies within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by a huge variety of things to see and do. Surrounded by charming villages and market towns, there are also the larger urban centres of Bath and Bristol for some retail therapy or cultural visits. Pubs are within a short drive - or in the summer, a lovely walk across fields - about a mile away in various local villages. There are local shops for provisions in neighbouring villages or supermarkets in the nearby towns. Westonbirt Arboretum ( wonderful Forestry England woodland), Badminton Estate (annual horse trials) are on the doorstep.

The Old Museum is a compact self-contained holiday home in the historic and picturesque village of Castle Combe. Situated in the lower village it is just short walk (200m) to the village centre with its pubs, cafe and restaurant.
The accommodation is designed in an open plan layout containing a bedroom area with queenside bed, living room area with a TV, sofa and log burning stove and a well-equipped kitchenette with a table and chairs. The bathroom comprises a toilet, sink, heated towel rail and walk-in shower. There are also tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. The property enjoys private off-street parking, which is a rare find for the village.
  • The Old Museum was everything I hoped for an English getaway! Cozy, adorable, and convenient. Fleur was an amazing host who was responsive and offered great tips. Highly recommend afternoon tea at The Old Rectory Tea Room (make sure to book ahead), dinner/drinks at The Castle Inn, and taking a day trip to Bath. Would definitely stay again!

  • The Old Museum cottage is absolute first class accommodations. It’s located just at the top of the hill with an easy walk to the beautiful Castle Combe village. Parking is on sight, but it’s recommended to have a smaller car to fit in the driveway. The cottage was clean, cozy, light and bright modern/traditional design. Perfect sized kitchen and all the tools to cook a nice meal. A few amenities were included such as cereal, milk, coffee, tea and biscuits- thank you! We loved using the wood burning fireplace as well. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the cottage. Highly recommend if looking in this area.

A lovely open house set in quiet gardens overlooking the countryside. Relax in the spacious dining room with seating for 6 and take in the views of the beautiful countryside. The bedrooms can either be set up as a king size bed and twin beds, or a king and super-king bed. A quick easy walk to the village shop, post office and Rattlebone Pub make this an ideal location to stay. From our garden gate you have direct access to the Macmillan Way footpath.
Set within quiet gardens backing onto open fields, this is a newly renovated house. A short, easy walk and you are in the heart of the village of Sherston. The two bedrooms are upstairs, they are in the eves so head height is limited at the edge of the rooms, but there is plenty of head height in the main of the room. The bathroom and toilet are downstairs. If you require the second room to be set up as a super-king bed instead of a twin room, please let me know at least 2 days before. To do our bit to save energy, we don’t iron our bed linen and we line dry, whenever possible. Facilites include a dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, washer dryer, crockery, cutlery, sharp knives for cooking, saucepans and frying pan, tea towels, bathroom mirror with shaver point, tv, wardrobe with hangers, towels and bedding, bedside lamp, high chair, travel cot (guests provide your own bedding for the cot). A car parking space is allocated to you. The garden is not separately fenced to my family garden, but we have allocated you the garden to the front of the dining room, which is in line with the holiday house.
Sherston is a fantastic village with lots of amenities. The famous Rattlebone pub serves fantastic food and drinks throughout the day. The village shop is a Mid Counties Coop, open 7 days a week providing all your essentials, fresh bread and cakes and much more as well as a post office. The Court Yard Cafe provides fresh coffee and cakes. The Carpenters Arms pub provides a café in the morning and pub in the evening. We are spoilt for amenities. The Westonbirt Arboretum is just 5 minutes away providing a great day out, Badminton Horse Trials is just 6 miles away, and the historic towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury are only 10 minutes in the car.
  • I stayed at the house over 2 days there were 4 adults and a dog in our party The house was a perfect size downstairs and the equipment was great -we used the cooker etc and all worked well the area was also good for dog walks and the local pubs also welcomed your pets Upstairs was equally good you just have to be a little careful if you are tall due to slopping ceiling We thoroughly our stay and would recommend to a family / couples the weather was not kind to us - Storm Dennis but we enjoyed an evening in the house and the other at the rattlebone inn - meal was really good

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Penny in Sherston. The cottage has been recently renovated so has a new kitchen and lovely light dining area that can comfortably seat 6. Upstairs, the 2 bedrooms were perfect for me, my wife and our 2 children. The king bed was lovely and soft and my wife commented that it was one of the best night’s sleep she’d had in months! No doubt that was aided by how quiet it was outside as the house is set a long way back from the road. The lounge was comfortable, with a large TV. Penny was a great host, keen to ensure that one of her first guests had a good experience. She lives in the adjacent house within the same large garden so was at home when we arrived. However, she had made arrangements in advance for us to gain access to the cottage if she wasn’t in. She gave us a great overview of the area which includes Westonbirt Arboretum only 5 minutes away, the historic city of Bath about 25 minutes away and the lovely local market towns of Malmesbury and Tetbury. In the village there are 3 pubs, all within a 5-8 minute walk, as well as a village shop with post office. We had a great meal in the Rattlebone pub one night; it was a smart, warm friendly traditional English pub with some good ales on tap. We were interested to see on the village notice board that the village hosts a lot of events throughout the summer months, including a really big boules tournament that closes off the whole village centre as 32 teams (one from France) do battle with metal balls! Other events include a children’s Olympics and village fair. I expect we will return in the summer to combine some walking in the Cotswolds with another good pub meal.

  • Great place to stay, lovely village, great pubs and nice walks. The house is spacious and warm, beautifully decorated, kitchen has all you need, oven, fridge, microwave. I also noticed a high chair and travel cot available. Really peaceful, enjoyed relaxing in the dining room and taking in the views. Penny was a great host, excellent communication. Would love to come back again for a holiday with my family.

  • We thought access to the bathroom should be changed to through a door in the kitchen. This would allow guests more privacy so the cottage is ideal for a family with children. Impeccably clean and we were made to feel at home as the cottage is well stocked and tastefully decorated. Very quiet.

Wortley is a hamlet close to Wotton under Edge. There are no shops or pub in Wortley but we will provide you with a list of places to eat out that are near by, from cafes, pubs and fine dining.
  • Stunning self-contained cottage surrounded by singing birds and nestled in nature. On arrival, the heating had been turned on to warm up the cottage and scones had been provided, along with the other goodies for our breakfast... there were many lovely little touches that made our stay amazing. We were also able to take country walks right from the property and found the kitchen a dream to cook in. We found almost every convenience to have been provided in this lovely Cotswolds getaway provided by Sean and Annabel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • Sean and Annabel communicated very thoughtfully and provided some lovely extras such as scones and a guide for the local area. The studio itself had a lovely open plan style and all the features you could want for a mini break. The bed was very comfortable and we cooked a lovely meal during our stay there. Sean and Annabel also gave advice for nearby restaurants and things to do. Thank you very much- super hosts!

Garden House B&B is located in the walled Victorian Garden of the Grittleton Estate. We have one triple room that is saved for Airbnb guests. It has a private bathroom but is just across the hall from the bedroom. Breakfast is included in the price. We are ideally suited to a long weekend in the Cotswolds. Bath is 40mins away. Castle Combe is 2 miles away. Use us as a base wilst visiting Lacock, Malmesbury, Bowood, Westonbirt or Stonehenge and Avebury.
The property was once the market garden of the estate. It is situated in a 2 acre walled garden. The remnence of the Estate are all around, the stables are next door and traditional workers cottages provide a picturesque entrance.
The Garden House is located just outside of the village of Grittleton. We are half a mile from the village center where the pub serves food at lunchtimes and evenings. We are off the beaten track so you will get a traffic free stay. There is room for kids to run. A large garden is available for roaming and exploring.
  • Grittleton is gorgeous & Garden House BnB was in a beautiful location. Scrumptious breakfast & very friendly host.

Enjoy a relaxing and luxurious stay in a quiet setting on a farm. Newly renovated, with modern shower room and fully equipped kitchen. Spacious double bedroom holding a super kingsize bed. Located next to Castle Coombe and surrounded by wonderful places to visit makes this an ideal base to explore the Cotswolds, Bath and Bristol. Easy access to the M4/M5 makes day trips to anywhere in the South West possible. Great countryside walks including the Macmillian Way route.
Attached annexe to main farmhouse with own entrance.
Very friendly village shop within walking distance and surrounding by choice of fantastic gastro pubs within 5-10 minute drive. The route of the Macmillian Way www.macmillanway.org passes through the farm which includes one of the highlights of the route the Lugbury Long Barrow. Castle Coombe "prettiest village in England" is the village next door and if you take the footpath across the golf course is in walking distance. Tetbury is a wonderful Cotswold market town with antique shops and cafes galore. The gardens of HRH Prince Charles at Highgrove are near Tetbury along with Westonbirt Arboretum with it's 2500 different species of trees, Illuminated trails at Christmas, Forest gigs in summer and fabulous dog walking year round in Silk Wood. All of this is just a 20 minutes beautiful drive away. Badminton Horse Trials in May is a 5 minute drive away and Gatcombe Horse Trials in August is about a 30 minute drive. Other places in the area to visit include Berkeley Castle, Chavenage House, Lacock Abbey, Rodmarton Manor and the Cotswold Water Park.
  • Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this place. Well worth a visit.

    Sameer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! One of the nicest places I've been lucky enough to stay in. Location is brilliant and really not too far away from anywhere you'd like to visit. We visited Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Bristol, Castle Coombe and many other places and nothing is further than an hour and you don't compromise on location. If you dont fancy using the lovely kitchen they have then there's a really great pub a stones throw away and an array of other cuisine a 10/15 minute drive away in Chippenham. If you're reading this review then look no further and book this rare gem.

    Liam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend staying here! One of the comfiest beds I’ve stayed in! Lovely escape from the city. Becky is a very thoughtful host- provided breakfast bits which was a lovely touch! Would definitely visit again.

    Kiran2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Becky and Chris' place for four nights in January and were very pleased with our time there. Becky went above and beyond our expectations, with the provision of basics such as farm eggs, milk and bread and a detailed folder of things to see and do showing a high level of sensitivity to our needs. The accommodation is spacious for two people, private, quiet and finished to a high specification; the bed is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is equipped very well. The property is ideally situated for exploring the Cotswolds and everywhere is within a reasonable drive, with walks to neighbouring villages such as Castle Combe straightforward and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Becky and Chris and would recommend them as hosts to anyone.

    Dale2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t recommend Becky’s place enough, the cottage has beautiful character and a cosy feel with modern amenities. Becky provides an arrival book with recommendations on restaurants, places to visit etc. We used that along with entries by previous guests in the guest book to finalise our plans for the weekend. Our main reason to stay was to be close enough to Bath but in a rural location, however you are close enough here to visit three different counties, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset depending on the length of your stay. With so much to see and do near the area we will certainly be back again as the accommodation and hospitality was second to none. Thank you

    Jacquelyne2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our second visit, can’t fault this beautiful countryside apartment. No wonder we keep wanting to return. The comfiest bed with stunning and very peaceful views. Great central point to local cities or sites of interest. We ventured out to Stonehenge and Salisbury this time around, previously we used this space as a base for a longleat visit. Friendly hosts that are there to help.

  • This place is great, we had an amazing time there. Really loved it and all the beautiful places around it. Definitely highly recommend!

The Annexe is a beautiful, self-contained flat with a separate entrance at the back of our family home. There is a small kitchen overlooking the garden, with an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and washer dryer. The bedroom, with a lovely king size bed and cozy sofa has stunning views over open fields. In a bid to help save the planet we do not iron sheets - they dry on the washing line in the summer and come in scented of delicious fresh air, or in the warm airing cupboard in the winter! There is a walk in shower in the bathroom.
Our guests tell us that the Annexe is a calm, peaceful and relaxing space which is what we love to hear! The sunsets over the open fields which you can experience from the rooms or from our garden, are particularly beautiful.
The village of a Sherston has been named as one of the top 5 villages in the country. It has a wonderful pub, walks and post office. We are near to Westonbirt Arboretum, Highgrove, Tetbury and Malmesbury. Badminton horse trials is the most famous major event on the doorstep but in our thriving community there is often something going on. Boules weekend, WOMAD, Sherstonfest and Mangold hurling to name a few. We are also near to Bath and Bristol
  • Very scenic backyard and a lovely home. We would recommend it.

    Ian2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • As described this is an ideal place to stay to explore the Cotswolds. The view over the fields is fantastic as is the self contained annexe. We were happily left to our own devices which we liked and Alex's communication via email regarding directions and how to access the property were first class.

    Laura2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 day stay in the Hayloft! It was the first time we’d stayed in a studio apartment with our 10 month old but the space was more than comfortable. The travel cot was a great bonus because we didn’t need to pack our own, and there was an offer of additional baby items if we needed! The little touches such as a box of toys, flowers, and household items was a lovely touch. The Royal Oak pub was just a 2 minute walk away and served some lovely food and drinks. However, we also used the Hayloft amenities to cook for ourselves and baby. Everything we needed was on hand; brilliant! We were lucky enough to meet the owners who were warm and friendly. Definitely a place we’d like to visit again in the future :)

  • A great little find perfect location for a Cotswolds break. Excellent facilities very nice people

    Dick2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hayloft. It has everything you need for your stay even if you are eating in (potted herbs outside the front door was a nice touch :-) We also appreciated the thought of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits along with bath robes. We took our mountain bikes and managed a 25 mile circular route of bridle paths and lanes in the wind and rain thanks to the bike guides left in the property. Thanks Bethany

    Jacqui2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Bethany’s place was lovely, the photos really don’t do it justice. It’s a small yet cute and cozy studio with everything you might need for a lovely break in the Cotswolds. We cooked a lot whilst we were there and the kitchen had everything we needed. The village is pretty and peaceful and there are some great local walks. Westonbirt arboretum is walking distance too. Would love to come back.
