Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River. Peaceful and cozy craftsman style cabin in the woods overlooking the Pere Marquette river. Large windows on the riverside allow for a spectacular view of the river and lovely sunrises. The cabin has central AC and central heat, but there is NO TV or Internet/WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with most cooking essentials. There is a tea kettle, various coffee pots, coffee bean grinder, dishes, pans, small refrigerator, and small functioning vintage stove. Freshly laundered bed linens, blankets and towels are provided. The town grocery store is conviently located less than a mile from the cabin. Both bedrooms have a full size mattresses. There is also a futon in the living room that could be used for additional guests. There is a 2 person tandem kayak, canoe and fishing poles are available at the cabin and are free for guest use. The burn ring by the river and a fire pit on the property that can be used for bonfires or roasting marshmallows. A door code enables guests to check themselves in after 3pm. We are available by text/email or phone during their stay if there any problems or questions. The cabin is located in Baldwin which is a small rural town that has very limited attractions or resturants, but makes for quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cabin is located on Pere Marquette river which is a designated "National Wild and Scenic" river and is world renowned for excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and Steelhead. The river section directly in front of the cabin is open for fishing only during the last weekend in April to end of September (trout season). It is also a very popular river for canoes and kayakers since it is steady and considerably clear which is perfect for paddlers with basic skills. The cabin is located about a 2 minute drive from the closest 'open all year round' river location. The cabin is 1.5 hour drive from Traverse City (Wine tasting, beaches, cherry orchards) and/or Grand Rapids MI (Art prize, Fredrick Meijer sculpture Gardens). It is also 45 Min. drive from Ludington which has miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. Pleae note there is a approx. 50 yard walk from the driveway to the cabin. Smoking inside the cabin is not allowed. Pets are ok with the following considerations: no wet dogs in the cabin (most dogs love swimming in the river), no pets on the furniture and up to date flea control is appreciated. The cabin is located 3.5 miles from the start of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is a excellent mountain biking and hiking trail.
The cabin is located in Lake County which is over half state (Pere Marquette State Forest) and federal land (Manistee National Forest) with endless hiking opportunities. The cabin is located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are multiple sections of the North Country trail that allow mountain biking and also the Big M trail is nearby. The cabin is located near the small town of Baldwin which has very limited attractions and no notable restaurants therefore this is not the place to come for man made sightseeing that is nearby.
  • This cabin is simply magical and the setting is idyllic. If you are looking for a quiet retreat and want to disconnect from the noise of our day to day lives this is the place for you.

  • This place is gorgeous and lovely to stay in. There is more kitchen wise when you get there than expected so don’t feel the need to pack your whole kitchen! Truly a wonderful cabin.

  • A lovely place to stay. I highly recommend staying in the fall. The trees are beautiful when they are changing colors. Waking up every morning to a cup of coffee while watching the fish swim in the river is very serene. We enjoyed hiking. It is very convenient having the grocery store so close too. A perfect fall getaway.

  • The apartment is very easy to access! It was very clean and has an edgy decor! I loved my stay.

    Marisel2020-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space offers everything you need for a retreat for one or two. The outside patio was a bonus. In the city, it’s definitely a bonus to have convenient parking and there’s a garage right behind the building. I don’t think you could be disappointed staying in the space, it offers comfort with the right amount of style.

  • Beautiful place! Dasha & Owen went ABOVE and BEYOND both before and after check in. Their hospitality was just as good as the space itself.

    Cristian-Andres2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is fantastic. The situation we were in was awful. Coronavirus had exploded and all activities cancelled. What a pleasure to have a comfortable and cool place to hang out given those circumstances. FYI. Dasha and Owen and team are there for any needs you may have.

    Mark2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. I would stay here again just for the bed. I stayed here right after a trip out of the country & before another trip. I felt relaxed in this space as I worked through my jet lag.

Unique treehouse cabin with all amenities inspired by forest ranger lookout. Though not actually attached to a tree, the outpost treehouse sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 65 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck.
The lookout inspired outpost has all the modern amenities--Air conditioning, furnace, private bath with shower, hot and cold running water. Solar power is used for interior lights. The 14x14 room has a queen size bed (which can be separated if requested to make bench style seating and doubles as 2 single beds (30” x 76”), a comfy chair, buffet cabinet with bar sink, small refrigerator for drinks and coffee maker. The refrigerator is quite small so bring a cooler and ice if you bring perishable food. There are no cooking facilities in the treehouse but there is a gas grill outside. There is also a fire pit. Bring wood so you can enjoy an evening by the fire. The ground level is the “mechanical “ room and the bathroom.
Secluded rural setting but only a short drive to “city life”. Some things to see and do within 30 minutes : Kalamazoo Air Zoo, Binder Park Zoo (Battle Creek), Kingman Museum ( Battle Creek), Critchlow Alligator Farm (Athens). Within 15 minutes of Binder Park Golf Course and many restaurants in Battle Creek
  • This treehouse was an absolute dream. We loved everything about the space, as well as how kind and quick to respond Stan and Deb were. The area is beautiful and it was everything my partner and I wanted for a secluded and peaceful escape from reality. There was not a speck of dust on anything and it was extremely clean. They were accommodating and left cute little surprises and treats in the treehouse. We will be coming back!

    Nadia2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Outpost was exactly what we were looking for. A night of relaxation and recharging in a peaceful atmosphere. The personal touches (s’mores care package, breakfast, chocolates, etc.) took this stay to the next level. You won’t regret staying at the Outpost!

    Philip2020-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such an enjoyable retreat! Wonderful location, great hospitality, lots of nice extra touches. We would like to return again sometime!

    Kaylee2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • My first stay in an Airbnb was with Stan & Deb and their wonderful treehouse. Nice place to get away from home while still being close to the city. Plush towels and comfy bed. Lots of little touches that made our stay that much more enjoyable. I plan to stay again in the future. Thanks again for a nice little vacation.

    Sarah2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and take in the charm and scenery

    JEANETTE2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! Super cute and very clean. Stan & Deb are very nice and accommodating, and even left out snacks and fruits for us! There’s also a grill, hammock, and campfire out on the property as well to enjoy. If you’re thinking about staying here, please do, we enjoyed every second and will definitely be back for summer!

    Connor2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so great that we just had to come back again!

    Kayla2019-12-22T00:00:00Z

Bed was very comfortable and cozy. Great patio space to enjoy the beautiful weather, nice & quiet I give this place 10 stars ⭐️ 💯🤗

  • WOW. Look no further for an amazing place to stay. As soon as I pulled up to the building I was blown away at how beautiful the neighborhood was. The building itself is extremely secure and makes you feel safe even coming in and out since there are security cameras. There is a tattoo shop, and Mexican food restaurant attached to the building which makes it easy to not have to leave your room. The air bnb itself is GORGEOUS, and all of my friends who live in the city noted it was bigger than their studio apartments. The furniture is all high end designer, the bed was ridiculously comfortable, and it had plenty of extra furniture making it to where you could potentially have up to 5-6 guest comfortably over for dinner or a game. Thankfully the kitchen had everything I needed as well, including saving my dinner with some flour. I can't wait to book this place again, I actually cried leaving because I enjoyed my stay so much.

This 200 ft. tiny house is tucked nicely away in the beautiful northern Michigan woods. Its light and airy space is comfy and bright, without being too constricting, it is only a 2.5 miles from downtown Charlevoix.
There is a ladder provided to access both the sleeping loft as well as the storage loft. In-wall heaters are readily usable and easy to function.
The neighborhood is quiet and simple. The tiny house is far enough from the road that makes it free from distractions, but close enough to town if you are interested in grabbing a bite to eat, going to a concert, or jumping into the lake.
  • Such a sweet getaway! Such thoughtful touches throughout the whole house. Everything you need! Elizabeth was so helpful and responsive. Loved the breakfast items, items for s'mores, and record player with great assortment of music! You feel so secluded and tucked away, yet are literally just minutes from downtown. Had the best crepes we've ever had at The French Place. Everything about the tiny house was lovely! Can't wait to be back!

    Josh2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing week long honeymoon getaway this past week getting to step into our tiny home living dream! We had such a great time and felt so comfortable with living there, amazed by how thoughtful each item in the tiny home was. We had everything we needed for making most of our meals there, enjoyed the hikes on the grounds, a sunset on lake Michigan, exploring Northern Michigan with so many awesome places nearby including Cross in the Woods & Downtown Charlevoix. Despite having rain for the majority of our time there, we left so rested and thankful for the most relaxing & quaint little home. Props to Elizabeth for the inspiring scrapbook she had there that explains how this dream became a reality! We hope a tiny home is in our future too! Thanks again for the breakfasts, the kindness and thoughtfulness! We highly recommend this stay to everyone!!

    Sarah2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny house, but the amount of hospitality was not. True 10/10 We even saw a turkey, but a raccoon stole our popcorn :(

    Matt2020-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • A tiny woodland paradise! 100%, would definitely recommend.

    Lindsey2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! The tiny home was amazing in itself! I loved seeing a few books on Tiny Homes on the property which was fun to read while being in one. Elizabeth was great every step of the way. We didn't get in until dark and didn't park in a great spot so when it rained all day the next day our small car couldn't handle getting back up the muddy incline and Elizabeth called her grandpa and he was there within minutes to help us and we were on our way! We would have been waiting there for another hour or 2 for Triple A if Elizabeth hadn't called to get us help. We would definitely stay there again!

    Deanna2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • we absolutely LOVED staying in the tiny house! It is absolutely beautiful with all so many thoughtful touches and features that make it feel homey! The kitchen had everything you need and was fully stocked with breakfast items. The window bench in the living room is a perfect place to watch nature or read a book. The tiny house inspired me to add a few things to my home. I loved how there’s books on tiny houses and the inspiring quotes and scripture. This was probably the best airbnb stay I had! It’s amazing how you could fit everything you have in a traditional home in this tiny house. It’s close to town. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Briana2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ellies place is amazing. She is quick to respond. Very helpful. The tiny house had many thoughtful touches. Fixings for smores and firewood was provided and even breakfast fixing. Elizabeth has definitely went above and what is expected of a host! We will definitely stay again!

    Vanessa2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Very relaxing and a great opportunity to cozy up by a fire, listen to a record, and relax. The space is very well kept and Elizabeth works hard to make your stay amazing.

  • THE BEST AIRBNB EXPERIENCE!! We chose this location for a weekend getaway to share relaxed togetherness time and plan wedding details, and we got that and more! The beautiful trees and gentle creek add a perfect ambiance that we would love to see in peak summer and fall times! Abey was generous and very helpful, even surprisingus with the best mulled wine and chai tea we've had! Cozy with a glamping feel, we were beyond happy with our stay!! Thank you to Dr. Abey and his family!

    Cassie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Worth it for the complimentary glass of warm meade alone! lols Comfortable bed. Great shower pressure with a nice assortment of toiletries. Warm and cozy for a chilly wintry night.

    Jamie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly beyond expectations. This stay had everything and more then I wanted and they even had breakfast ready for us. The view from the bedroom made you feel as if you were in a cabin in the woods and the morning air felt great. Communication was amazing and they had answers to any questions we had. I strongly recommend this stay to anyone wanting to stay around the Racine area.

    Oscar2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I was so impressed by all of the little touches that went above and beyond - from offering to make us a hot drink when we arrived, to hotel toiletries, to cream and milk in the fridge for our coffee. This is a really relaxing spot to stay and I hope to visit again!

    Jennifer2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great and the back porch is amazing (we didn't get to experience it a lot since it was cold and there was a lot of snow). Service is amazing! Beware though if you are over 6' tall, some of the ceilings are very low. Also just know that you are in the basement of an occupied house so you will hear the hosts upstairs if they are hosting other events.

    Monica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful getaway with great hosts who went above and beyond to provide a warm and thoughtful welcome into their beautiful guest house! Look forward to going back during the summer to enjoy the view of their back yard! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway into the Midwest!

    Nader2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Abey's place. The view of the park and creek is gorgeous, even in winter. The apartment feels so warm and cozy, and a great place to get away for a few days. It shows what happens when someone is intentional about the space they create for others to stay in. Will definitely come back again. Absolutely worth it.

Beautiful beach bungalow with hot tub! Across the street from 158 acres of hiking and just minutes from everything!
Super special getaway with hot tub across the street from 158 acres of hiking and botanical gardens and just minutes to dining, fishing, kayaking, shopping and the beach! **You can see from the reviews that our properties are always Sparkling Clean and want our guests to rest assured that we are taking extra precaution in cleaning and sanitizing. We clean and disinfect ALL surfaces and also provide disinfectant wipes for your own use when available. We are also blocking at least 48 hours between reservations for extra safety.** Perfect for weddings and events at Kruger Memorial Hall, Friendship Gardens or Blue Chip Casino, this lovely little artist bungalow has every luxury: four person hot tub for relaxing after a day at the beach or hiking, four beach cruisers to take a ten minute ride to the beach or shops (and a trailer to tow your gear), memory foam and pillow top beds with 100% cotton 800 thread count sheets, super plush pillows and towels, TVs in every room, a fully stocked coffee bar with Keurig 2.0 and gourmet coffee and syrup selection. Even the pull out sofa has a Sealy mattress and soft sheets. The backyard is a second living room with fire pit for fun nights under the stars, picnic table and grill for meals outside, and hammock for relaxing and reading (and did we mention the hot tub?!). The rooms are filled with original art and books to browse and every surface makes you want to sink in and stay a while. We love to host and spoil our guests, so have tried to think of everything to make every stay exceptional. The neighborhood is very centrally located, is hilly and tree-filled and has plenty of charm. It is a mixed-income, residential neighborhood filled with lovely people who are always friendly and welcoming and keep the area safe. All are welcome (as long as the renter is over 25) :) Please check out our other listing if your desired travel dates are unavailable: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/39270957?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=12332399
The bungalow is literally across the street from the 158 acre Potawattomie Park which offers beautiful hiking for miles. The spectacular Friendship Botanical Gardens are right around the corner and are open year round. There is a public fishing spot on trail creek about a minute down the road and the Blue Chip Casino, Washington Park and the public beach, all of the shops and the outlet mall are a seven minute bike ride or four minute car ride away. The beautiful berry farms, wineries, breweries and antique shops of Michigan are just fifteen minutes away in the opposite direction! It doesn't get any more central than this!
  • Just as the pictures showed. Beautifully decorated and loved all the small touches. They responded back fast to whatever we needed. Very clean and had everything we needed and more. Perfect for a weekend getaway!! Will definitely be staying here again! One complaint we had would be the water pressure to the shower. Which we didn’t even consider a big deal because everything else exceeded expectations.

    Jaylan2020-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • We have been to this Air BNB so many times now and love our stay every time. Courtney and Lora are incredible. We have recommended this bnb to all of our friends and family and we look forward to returning. Absolutely no complaints at all. 👏🏻

  • This is a wonderful little getaway! Many little amenities were added that made our stay above and beyond great. Very clean, easy instructions, punctual communication and overall a lovely stay. Especially during the COVID-19, the hosts went extra measures to ensure the place was clean, sanitized, and a safe place to be.

    Libby2020-03-29T00:00:00Z

Our charming bungalow is located walking distance from downtown Muskegon and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.
There is plenty of free on street parking in front of the house. No street parking in the winter months.

  • Marilyn’s place was a gem! The nostalgic touches added to the coziness. We felt right at home and it was the perfect getaway for us.

    Matthew2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay here

    Hanna2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • I could not make it to my reservation, but Marilyn was understanding and more than helpful. She was quick with the responses and went the extra mile. I even messaged at 2 or 3am and she still assisted me...without fuss or rudeness. I will recommend Marilyn as a host any day!

    Dustin2020-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn’s place was great for a cozy weekend getaway. Definitely check out North Muskegon and the National Park if you get a chance!

  • The perfect cozy/homey little cottage for a getaway!

    Kristen2020-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place is wonderful. The house itself is super cozy, clean, and made for a perfect stay for my girlfriend and I. We spent two weeks there, and couldn't have been happier. Short drive to Lake Michigan's beaches and trails, which we were sure to take advantage of, and a nice cozy space to come back to in the evening. Marilyn was very hospitable, and even offered to stop by and wash our towels for us halfway through our stay. Would definitely recommend!

    David2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn is so easy to get along with! She gave us some great tips on local sights to see and always responded quickly and helpfully if we needed anything. The house is adorable, full of history, and perfect for a quiet getaway.

    Samuel2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable, clean, and comfortable. Marilyn is a great host who responded quickly to all our question. We had a perfectly lovely stay.

Blue Lake has been called the “Gem of Kent County” because of it’s Mediterranean clear turquoise waters. You can see 20’ deep! The other lakes nearby are connected via navigable channels and waterways for miles of boating and fishing fun. Swimming in the lake is clean and clear. Private guest suite with separate entrance is set up for guests to enjoy a part of lake life. Many amenities for you to enjoy for no extra charge! Outdoor grilling and Tiki Bar for relaxing is available for your use.
Your space is a beautiful finished loft above the detached garage. The Tastefully decorated loft that is fully finished with heat and air conditioner. With separate entrance and coded entry for your access. The loft space is detached from the main house that we live in year round. The loft space has a bedroom with queen bed, behind the queen bed (like a little cubby area) there is a slanted wall with a full size floor mattress. There is a smaller room (with the world decal) it has a trundle twin bed (2 twin mattresses) also have a pack-n-play for small children. In the living room there is an oversized bean bag that turns into a king size floor mattress. Sheets and pillows are all provided. Very comfortable for 4 guests, we think it is very tight for 6. We always get requests for 6, so you need to be aware that it is small space for 6. Come and Relax at the outdoor Tiki Bar (Year round use of the grill) outdoor area is complete with year round fireplace and gas heater. Relax in the Summer months on the sandy beach.! In the winter if the lake is frozen we can clear an area for ice skating if requested. (pack your ice skates! ) There is a sledding hill with a few sleds, but you can also bring your own. The only shared space is when your outside but there’s plenty of space to just be yourself. The fall and winter months are wonderful in the loft. Decorated for the seasons, you will enjoy the loft, with a wall fireplace to relax by and set to your liking. Movies (a selection of over 650 movies!) on the giant 70” TV provide a theatre like experience in the cozy loft. Popcorn machine is for your use & includes a popcorn packet. Guest Hot Tub is private for guests use only, available for YEAR ROUND use. (No Children under age 16) Hot Tub hours 10am-11pm (please no smoking while in the hot tub) (no glass) we have cups to use in the hot tub. Sauna use is an extra fee ($35) because of the higher cost to run. The Heath benefits it gives is worth the little extra to use. We do have to charge an extra $15 per person above 2 because we live on the lake and we have to pay extra to have water and sewer pumped from our holding tank. Please keep in mind we do use a septic system, so long showers and flushing down feminine products and tons of TP, will put a strain on the system. Guest will have a total of two (2) parking spots available. Please only park in the designated two spots in front of the Airbnb parking sign. Thank you
If you are looking to have many guest come to visit or planning a party event we are members of a Lake Association and there is a lakefront cabin available to rent for daytime parties. If you are interested in this please contact me for more information. The lake is the best part of being here! The teal color water will feel like a tropical paradise right in Michigan. The neighbors are nice and friendly, some only come on the weekends, the lake will relax you as you enjoy the wildlife like song birds, blue herons, Eagles, geese and fish.
  • Absolutely loved the space! Perfect stay for my sister and I on our little getaway. Pamela was a great host and super friendly. Made sure we had everything we needed. Hope to come and stay again in the warmer season.

    Jadyn2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Pam was an amazing host to a beautiful Airbnb. The place was spotless and super clean! We loved kayaking in the morning and using the sauna right after; it was a wonderful experience and I couldn't recommend it more!

    Parhesh2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place! We used it for a girls weekend and it was perfect for us. We loved the “movie theater“set up and hot tub. Everything was great!

    Jaclyn2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing and exactly as described. We loved our visit and would absolutely recommend this space!

    Amy2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Me and boyfriend had a great stay. The space was perfect for the two of us and it was beautiful! Pamela was very helpful and responsive. We will probably stay here again when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the outdoor space.

    Branden2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is nice! the directions to the home are perfect and help given that service is a little spotty. We visited in the winter so did not make use of most of the lake related opportunities. Pamela was very sweet when we interacted and the space felt private even though it is over a 3 car garage. The bed is very firm, if you like that kind of thing, but there are multiple other places to sleep. Very quiet, clean and definitely a great place to stay with kids!

    Jordan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I were able to book on very short-notice for a quick weekend getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay. While we didn't take full advantage of the fireplace, outdoor bar, or lawnchairs because of the freezing weather outside...the sauna and hot tub were perfect, and the living area is very cozy as well. Pamela and David really outdid themselves with all of the little touches in the living area and backyard, and we might just have to come back when the weather is warmer!

    Scott2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, great use of space. Hot tub was great. I had a hard time lighting the fireplace. ( I think the wood was a little damp). The patio heater was a great touch. Beautifully decorated and very homey space.

Our TinyHouse is in the woods and very secluded and peaceful. This is a place where you can enjoy your privacy, take a walk in the woods, enjoy a campfire, have a picnic and just plain relax. You can leave your cares behind and find renewal for your life. We live in the main house and the TinyHouse is on the back of our detached garage. This is a private space with your own kitchen and bathroom. We are available for anything you might need, however we will respect your privacy and your space.
Our TinyHouse equipped with most things you will need to make a small meal. We have lawn chairs, picnic table, fire ring and a barbecue grill for your enjoyment. We have many trails for walking and the woods is beautiful with many deer, turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks and birds. *Note* We do not have cable TV, however we have Netflix and Prime. The TV is sometimes slow to pick these services up and sometimes stalls while watching. We have found that streaming from a laptop works great. We have an HDMI cord available for your use if you bring your laptop.
Our place has a long driveway back to the woods. It is secluded and peaceful. This is a great place to relax and have a retreat from your busy life.
  • This is a beautiful place to stay, very tranquil inside and out. It has so much charm. Definitely built with love. The deer on the land are the bonus.🥰

  • Cutest tiny home! Beautiful surroundings! Can’t wait to go again.

    Whitney2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying in their tiny home. It was so serene and a very personal and homey feeling upon arrival. It stayed warm and comfortable through the nights and we saw so much wildlife. Leaving was so sad but we will be certainly back another day.

    Liam2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite AirBnB I've stayed at - absolutely amazing! Such a quaint place perfect for a couple or a solo traveler. I was only there for a night but I wish I would've allotted for a longer trip! You wake up to deer in the front yard and great hosts who welcome company and questions about the process of building a tiny home. To anyone curious about "tiny home living," I would highly recommend making a trip out here. I told all my friends and family about it when I got home. I am definitely going to rebook in the summer when you can walk the trails through their back yard. It was beautiful and fantastic. Don't question staying elsewhere, this place is great!

  • We had a lovely and relaxing few days at Kathy's home. Even in winter, the view of the lake and the sunset were beautiful and we loved having the hot tub to warm up in.

    Rolando2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time here. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was one of the best host I've ever had from Airbnb! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with new cookware and plenty of cooking seasonings. My and friends and I took a couples trip and we couldn't have chosen a more spacious house to accommodate twelve people. There were even a few different games and puzzles provided at the house in which we took full advantage of playing. Overall I believe Kathy has earned the title of super host, she sent me a packet in the mail just a week prior to our reservation. The packet covered the rules of the house, how to work the different devices in the house, nearby restaurants, grocery stores, activities to do in town. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Michigan to book with Katy.

    Robin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very spacious, clean, well decorated, and well stocked. Right on the water with a balcony overlooking the lake. The host was very informative and check in was effortless thanks to the welcome packet mailed in advance.

    Nicholas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was great! The kitchen comes completely stocked with all the seasonings and cookware you may need. There are so many sleeping surfaces. We had six grown adults in our group and no one had to share a bed. We appreciated the cozy fireplaces, all the blankets and bedding, the beautiful morning views, and the hot tub. We went to the state park for a hike in the winter which was both exhilarating and beautiful.

    Stephanie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great views! Good vibes! And the lake was amazing even tho we could not swim because it was cold. Overall cleanliness of the house was good! The hot tub! AMAZING ! Just a good overall place to relax and unwind.

  • Everything was as advertised! Perfect trip for our family. Kathy was an awesome host!

    Jessica2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was clean and comfortable. Free parking spot in the back was a plus. I mainly chose this place since it was less expensive than most Chicago Airbnb’s, however I didn’t realize how far it would actually be from downtown. 20 minute walk to Logan Square train station then a 15-20 minute ride to downtown. I would recommend this place if you don’t necessarily care about being super close to downtown. Overall, I was pleased with my stay but wasn’t prepared for the commute.

Doze off in a rainbow hammock in a breezy screened porch. There's a timeless cottage feel among the timber floors, whitewashed rafters, and homespun quilts. It's also a home inspired by music, including a record collection and vintage Dylan poster. ALSO: please see Cottage Coronavirus Protocol for guest peace of mind.
Managing the cottage from a distance--I now live in Florida--is now much more manageable with my new cleaning person who lives just across Red Arrow Highway and understands exactly what my needs are and how best to please our Airbnb guests. Beth uses Melaleuca all organic cleaning products which is important to her, and might be helpful for guests to know. Guests tell me they appreciate the look and feel of the cottage, plus of course its location and the amenities of the area. Let me be super clear that this is not a rental-property cutting corners property! It for sure is a vintage older home, complete with the quirks that can often accompany such an offering! The character of the home is summed up in the old fashioned percolator, the antiques and folk art, record player and old records, old games—that’s what you’re getting at the Sawyer cottage. Comments include..."perfect location for all that harbor country has to offer...we loved the huge back yard and proximity to the charming shops of Sawyer... loved the old records...” and much more. Take a look at the reviews for more comments.
The cottage is on a quiet tree-lined street on the lake side of Red Arrow Highway. It's less than a mile to Warren Dunes on Lake Michigan, and it's walking distance to Sawyer. Enjoy the restaurants, wineries, antique shops, and beaches of Harbor Country.
  • One of the best Airbnb experiences ever. Karen is the sweetest, most responsive host. The cottage is equipped and stocked with everything you need and everything was well thought out. Location was quiet and a close walk to the dunes. We could not have been happier with our stay.

    Draz2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is a charming oasis! It’s comfortable and extremely well designed. There is a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. I’m so grateful for my time there, and to Karen for being such an attentive, welcoming host!

    Tana2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such an adorable cottage! We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

    Alicia2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to take a trip to the dunes, I highly recommend staying here. Karen's Sawyer cottage is beautiful, unique, and extremely comfortable. There is a giant, fenced-in backyard with a fire pit and badminton net—and the backyard runs up against a wooded area so you have a lot of privacy. The screened in porch is also lovely, with a sturdy hammock and a full dining table out there! The interior of the home is very special—it is decorated gorgeous with a great mix of modern elements and family trinkets. It was extremely clean, and had everything we needed for a great weekend away. I was beyond impressed. Also, Karen was very very responsive and helpful. My initial payment was denied along with a slew of issues on AirBnB's end, but Karen was understanding and helpful in figuring this out before our trip. During the trip, she was available through the AirBnB app and was quick to reply and very easy to communicate with. I believe this was the best experience I've had through AirBnB and was very grateful for Karen's help. If you are on the fence about staying here, book it now! Such a nice trip!

    Lacy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our girls weekend getaway! Karen was thoughtful and great at communicating to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great location and the cottage was decorated so cute! We definitely want to come back.

    katie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is adorable and Karen was very kind and helpful. It was very clean and provided everything we needed. The yard is huge and there’s a screened in porch with a lot of space to hang out. I highly recommend this place if you want to explore new buffalo, but don’t want to stay in the busier part of town. We already have plans to back this summer to utilize all the great amenities and space!

    Maria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend getaway to this perfect little cottage! Beautifully themed with unique decorations and vintage items. We thoroughly enjoyed the record player, cozy window seat, and the games. Sawyer is a hidden treasure with breweries, wineries, a local market, beaches, and yummy food. Karen was a great host. Communicated well and timely, very friendly. She left us a bottle of champagne and a card. Can’t wait to stay here in the summer time!

  • This cottage is such a charming, cozy, and wonderfully decorated retreat. Karen was incredible. She provided fantastic advice for things to do in the area, and was always reachable. Check in and out was a breeze. The welcome note and bottle of wine when we checked in was so thoughtful and unexpected. We look forward to returning and staying in the cottage in the summertime to take full advantage of the location and outdoor amenities.

  • A few people have said that the photos don’t do this place justice and I can vouch for that! Zanes landing is the perfect get away for you and your puppy friends. The river porch is amazing and there are so many good spots to just sit and unwind. We will definitely be back.

  • Such a fun spot! I would reccomend this spot in a heartbeat. I came here with my dog for a solo trip to get away from all my stressors at home, and I could not have been happier with the outcome. The view is gorgeous, the cabin is so well equipped with everything I would need, and my dog was in heaven!

  • This was our 2nd time being here and it won't be the last! Great, cute little place, with a gorgeous backyard and a relaxing sauna in the bathroom! Our favorite part of the experience is their golden doodle maizy, and her ADORABLE smile. She always visits us when we're there and greets us with her very contagious toothy smiles before bringing us her ball to play fetch. Jessica and Brandon are awesome hosts, very accommodating and easy to get ahold of, and super down to earth people. I encourage anyone considering booking this gem to go ahead and book it! :)

Keep updated on work demands at a vintage-style wooden desk in the working corner of this gorgeous studio apartment. The combination of metals, velvet and wood in the interior make this a beautiful apartment and a contemporary dream. Please note that this unit is located above a late night bar, which may add to the charm of it for some but may also pose to be a noise nuisance for light sleepers. We encourage you to read the reviews of past guests to make an informed decision.

  • Very cozy and accurate. Def staying here again.

    Joseph2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This studio apartment was perfect for 2 people. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was very nice, with great water pressure (it has both a "rainfall" and regular shower head). However, the shower itself may be a bit tight for larger individuals (width-wise). In terms of noise: Our stay was during the covid-19 pandemic, so the bar downstairs was closed. There's still some street noise from people loitering, but it didn't bother us at all. There's also a "fan only" option on the heater/air-conditioning unit, which helps drown out some of the sound. Would definitely stay here again!

This simple little beach cottage with a small deck overlooking Lake Michigan is located on a stretch of private beach, but the public is allowed to walk along the shore . Approximately 80 steps zig-zag down the bluff behind our house to reach it. Harbor Shores Golf course is within a mile . Ideal for beach and outdoors lovers. It is available from May 1st through mid October. NOTE: due to high lake water and shoreline erosion the beach photos are not actual for this year.
The beach cabin has a kitchen area (with stove and a motel room sized small refrigerator) a very small bathroom with shower on the lower level. The upper level has a bedroom with 2 queen size beds and a living room. All rooms face the lake. The deck is accessed from lower level. Only 4 guests allowed . If more guests than are registered arrive they will not be accommodated. Children count as people, unless they sleep in a crib . Only registered guests allowed on premises.
Quiet residential neighborhood. We are located 1 mile out of town. During the summer months it gets busy with tourists & visitors, especially from Chicago. Many small boutiques in downtown. Several boat Marinas, restaurants, a water park next to an indoor carousel & other attractions for children. Free "concerts on the bluff" during vacation months, festivals & fairs on weekends.
  • If you are looking for a private, beautiful locale for a getaway, this is the place! Our hosts were wonderful as was our 3-night stay!

  • This was my second time staying at Lola's wonderful beach cottage, and I'm so glad I made the trip back. It is comfortable, cozy, and has the most breathtaking views of the lake. The cottage had everything I needed for my stay, and even though I visited in chilly October, the heaters were perfect and extra blankets appreciated. I will definitely be back.

  • Wee TINY cabin (about 12x12). We didn’t mind as we used it as a base camp. Clean and well-kept by 2nd generation innkeepers. When we needed an iron and ironing board, one was delivered in 30 minutes. Beach front features plenty of toys and sand for children and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Centrally located with respect to the bustling downtown area. A very unique experience for the adventurous.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS Nothing is more important to the us than the health and safety of our communities. We are monitoring the situation very closely, and we would like to share the additional precautions that have been recently added. All amenities at this property have been closed. We have increased our cleaning standards, specifically as it relates to cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. This is all very necessary for the safety of guests, and we must do our part to keep this community safe.
STAYING LONG TERM? Contact us for up to 40% off your stay! We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties or gatherings. We use a noise sensor to detect the noise level inside the suite, a people counter which counts the number of people nearby, in addition to numerous neighbors who are understandably more sensitive during this time. The guest amount on your reservation must match the number of guests that will be inside the suite at any given time. We do utilize our local law enforcement if you cannot abide by these rules and you will be asked to vacate at your own expense. Our modern 1-bedroom apartment is furnished with a queen bed in the bedroom and an air mattress. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The kitchen is stocked with cookware to cook simple meals, full-sized appliances, and a Keurig to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. There's a smart TV with Roku and Netflix (there is no cable) & free WiFi! There are three parking garages around the building, they range from $15-$25 daily rate depending on the availability of spots. There is also metered street parking around the block. Friday and Saturday nights can be really loud until 12am if there's a wedding reception that night. This apt faces the atrium where weddings are held and music can definitely be heard from the DJ's or bands, which may make it hard to sleep before midnight if a wedding is taking place. ** There is major construction happening to the building next to this and is very loud and some vibration can be felt inside the apartment. Construction occurs during the week between the hours of 6am-7pm CST. Not sure whether this apartment checks all your boxes? Our Milwaukee team would be happy to suggest one of our other available apartments, or you can browse them all here https://www.airbnb.com/users/106229334/listings
1 block from Milwaukee Public Market, Wicked Hop, Benelux and Third Ward shopping. Its prime location for Third Ward & downtown fun. Very close to Riverside Theatre & right on Milwaukee's Riverwalk. Walking distance from the lakefront, art museum, Veteran's Park, Public Market, Summerfest, East Town & West Town neighborhoods.

  • The cottage was very clean, it had a great location with a tremendous view. It is right on the water. The amenities were great (outdoor pool, indoor spa and hot tub). The cottage was well appointed with everything you need. Great response by the owner. Every time we had a question, he was very prompt with the answer. There is a nice place down the road (Waterfront Mary's) that had a wonderful restaurant with a Fish Boil. We took a sailboat cruise with Sail Sturgeon Bay and would highly recommend that. We look forward to returning.

  • This place was absolutely beautiful especially for it being a studio place. Perfect for two people and a little get away. The bed was very comfortable; it was hard to get up from! I would definitely stay here again! The communication was good as well, I like that they messaged me to recommend some places around the area. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

The lodge backs up to a 2000 acre park called Warren Dunes that runs along Lake Michigan. The lodge is on the North end of the park with no parking lots on the lake so it is very private. The beach trail starts a few houses down at the end of Floral Lane. It is a beautiful hike to the beach over the dunes. The rooms in the lodge all open to a 66 foot long by 10 foot wide screened porch that houses the private hot tub and access to fenced yard and patio with fireplace pit. Also WBFPL in LR.
I just built this new lodge on my property incorporating all the features that my guest love from my original home on my land. So I have three lodges and each lodge has a private 500 square foot screened porch with private hot tub and private yard area. I have fire pit on private syoned patio and wood burning fire pits outside. All the appointments are hi end and modern with tile and wood floors for allergen free and clean environment
My lodge backs up to the 2000 acre Warren Dunes State Park with miles of gorgeous beaches and forests and dunes as the backdrop. The lodge is also in the heart of the growing wine region with many wineries to choose from and now there are breweries sprouting up with the famous Greenbush Brewery less than ten minutes away.
  • We really enjoyed our mini vacation at Patti’s! It was perfect for our needs!

  • The place was perfect for a short weekend getaway. The hot tub was wonderful and we enjoyed hiking to the dunes. We drove past many of the wineries and were able to stop at one that was doing curbside pickup. We definitely plan on coming back once all of these open up again!

We are available for those needing an affordable and comfortable home for social distancing during these trying times. Thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Welcome to Esther House. We took a 1930's catalog vacation cabin and turned it into an inviting 2 bedroom retreat home. We are steps to the Spring Lake Beach and Village, bike paths, a 2.5 mile bike or car ride to the beaches of Grand Haven.
This charming, fully rehabbed 2 bedroom home makes for the perfect getaway, and the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area. Although the footprint of Esther house is small, we offer 1100 sq ft of comfort over the basement, main level and lofted bedroom, designed with easy and comfortable living in mind. A fully stocked custom kitchen with high-end appliances, granite breakfast bar and an open plan to the cozy living/dining room. Small dinette table seats four. The living room has a comfortable sofa, reading chair and 42" TV. No cable, but its hooked up to stream all your favorites. In the basement we have a brand new bedroom with a queen sized bed, nightstands and dresser. A separate utility area with washer/dryer. Nice and quite fenced back yard with a cement patio.
The home is located in historic Strawberry Pointe area of Spring Lake, Michigan. The area is littered with these small cabins that once served as hunting and fishing vacation homes in the 30's, 40's and 50's. We are walking distance to the Spring Lake public beach, the expansive bike trails of the area and to the Village Baker (a must visit for great baked goods, fantastic brunch and dinners, as well as a great cup of coffee!!)

POOL & HOT TUB open! Much more than a place to sleep! Only 5 minutes to beaches of Indiana Dunes on Lake Michigan. Dunes National Park & hiking along the Little Calumet River only 1 block away. Plenty to do at our space too! Air hockey, billiards, ping-pong, darts, basketball shot, foosball, & board games! Comfy beds & full kitchen! Enjoy the campfire, grill, & playground too. Pool is heated 2020 May 22-Oct 4. Sun, swim, play, relax & volleyball. Love the Hot Tub year round!
***We are taking the extra precaution to sanitize everything between every stay*** IndianaDunes website is a great resource for why visit our area. The Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park have over 3.5 million visitors each year! The Pool Barn We built a 35x70 pole barn and finished half as additional garage space and the other half as a recreation space. Then we added a 20x40 in-ground heated pool, hot tub, grill, shaded picnic area, swing, and campfire area. The Pool Barn inside is ONE BIG SPACE of about 1200 sq ft. It includes a full bath/shower. There is a full-size kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and Keurig. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dinnerware, and silverware. We have 6 regular queen size beds, and a couch that sleeps 2. It is all one big open space that in addition to the kitchen and beds also includes large couch and TV, movies, stereo speakers, wifi, darts, ping pong, pool table, air hockey, foosbal, golf putting, and basketball shot. We have cornhole bag toss and bocci ball for outside too. The pool has several loungers for both in and out of the water. It is only 5 foot at the deepest so not suited for diving, but great for children, water volleyball and just relaxing throughout. We have floaties, goggles, snorkels, and plenty of towels too. The pool area has night lighting and torches to keep the bugs away while enjoying an evening swim. We keep the pool open and heated Memorial Day through the end September so it is refreshing on hot days and still comfortable on cool evenings. The Hot Tub is open and enjoyable 365 days a year! We provide bath towels. It is a good idea to bring your own towel for the pool, hot tub, and beach. The campfire area has plenty of seating space and abundant firewood available at no additional charge. If we are home we'll even get it started for you. Bring your bikes! We are on the Duneland Prairie Bike Trail. Great trails next door in the Indiana Dunes National Park for hiking or running too. I may even go with you if you'd like the companionship. We also have a canoe and 2 kayaks available to take a river trip or use on Lake Michigan for only $25 per boat. We'll also provide transportation both ways for $20. While you are visiting, learn how to save your life and save your family! Ask for a free preview of "The One Move." Want more? Experience "The One Move" with a 3 hour introduction to our proprietary system of Protective Tactics.
The "Pool Barn" is not located in a subdivision. We have 1 acre on the edge of town and the neighbors all pretty much keep to themselves. The Duneland Prairie Trail runs in front of our home for biking and hiking. It winds in and through the woods for many miles. There are many other bike trails in the area too. A block away is Indiana Dunes National Park, Bailly Homestead and Chelburg Farm with walking trails, a bit of history, a nature center, Maple Sugar Fest and Harvest Festival. The Little Calumet River is also only a block away and offers some of the best Steelhead fishing in the country. The beaches of Lake Michigan are only minutes away by car or bike including Porter Beach, the Indiana Dunes State Park, and Indiana Dunes National Park. Downtown Porter is only 1/2 mile and offers great authentic Mexican cuisine at Santiago's, some great bbq ribs at Wagner's, as well as a couple pubs, and a few churches. Just over the tracks is Chesterton, with several boutique shops, dining experiences, and a Saturday European market too. Grocery and fast food are just a couple of miles away. Our population is roughly only 14,000 but over 3.5 million visit the Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park each year. The Indiana Dunes ranks seventh among the National Park Service's top attractions nationwide. To learn more about the opportunities our area offers, see IndianaDunes website.
  • It's a great place to get away! Very quiet area with lots of fun things to do on the property as well as around the area! Looking forward to visiting again

Up north at its best! Stay in a custom cabin in the middle of Rocky Top Farms, a cherry orchard. Please read this listing completely!
Pet friendly! Custom timber-frame cabin was built by my husband, father-in-law, and me with the help from many, many friends. The little cabin is in the middle of a large cherry orchard in the heart of beautiful northern Michigan and is situated on a pond surrounded by birch trees. The love is in the details at this very special place. Climb a ladder to the romantic sleeping loft and gaze at the incredible northern night skies! Wonderful front porch! Locally made art. Amazing soapstone wood stove for cozy warmth and romantic, flickering firelight. Shared outdoor 6 person hot tub. The small kitchen is equipped with all you might need to make some wonderful meals. Fridge, sink, oven with stove top griddle, microwave. Pots, pans, mixing bowls, utensils, dishes, cups, mugs, basic oils and spices are included. OH~ and coffee maker complete with coffee. Towels, bedding and firewood are also provided. Enjoy acres of Michigan orchard, prairie, and woodlands. The north end of Torch Lake is just a couple miles away. Lake Michigan beaches are within minutes of driving. Ski resorts, breweries (can you say SHORT'S BREWING?), wineries, restaurants, farm markets are all within reach for great day trips. This property is best accessed by four- wheel drive during the winter months. You could say we are off the beaten path. This cabin can be rented in conjunction with The Treehouse at Rocky Top Farms- check it out! The Treehouse is near The Cabin, but both buildings have been designed to have a feeling of privacy. There is a wall of pine trees between the cabins. Please be reminded that this is a working orchard. You may hear ambient tractor noises at various times. There are goats, chickens, dogs, cats and children who live on the property. You should have 4 wheel drive to access the cabin in winter- I am not joking!! Surrounded by lakes, beaches and hiking opportunities abound! We are located 15 minutes south of Charlevoix and 20 minutes north of Elk Rapids. Bellaire (home to Short's Brewery) is 20 minutes away. Traverse City is about 30 minutes to our south. See the guidebook for a listing of our favorite spots. No public transport around here, sorry. You must have 4 wheel drive to visit the cabin in the winter.... Otherwise, prepare to hike about 1/4 mile to the cabin, and park at the barn. If you have to be towed out, the cost is between $50-$100. The water here is well- water. It isn't the city water you might be used to. It does have a yellowish cast because there are many tannins in it. If this description sounds like it suits you, and you want to visit, we will welcome you in and make you feel right at home. And- you’ll be back to visit again.
We love our rural neck of the woods! Surrounded by lakes, beaches and hiking opportunities abound! See the guidebook for a listing of our favorite spots. Our immediate neighbors consist of farmers, artists, a college professor, bee keepers, a massage therapist, a chef, an energy conservationist and a professional star-gazer_ truly! Our neighborhood is spread across many miles, but we are look out for each other and are friends.
  • Our stay was great! There are two dogs who live in the main house who came to visit our dog from time to time. The hot tub was lovely, the cottage super cute, and the hosts extra accommodating.

    Rebecca2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really great weekend getaway. The property was perfect for exploring with our dogs, they absolutely loved it. The cabin was very cute, we especially enjoyed the wood burning stove and the hot tub. We’d definitely stay here again.

  • Rocky top was the perfect get away amidst the stress of the current situation. It was remote and private and the perfect cozy hide away. We were able to walk around the property with our dog and explore. Heidi was a perfect host, very quick to respond but allowed us our privacy. Oh and the hot tub was uh-may-zing.

    Alex2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot! Exactly as described! You will love your visit - perfect for staying in and getting cozy or heading out to any of the great beaches, breweries, wineries, or restaurants nearby.

    Sarah2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is amazing!! Just the getaway that we needed. We followed the directions from the hosts on the fridge to some of their recommended spots (their fave Lake Michigan / dog friendly beach and Short’s brewery) and LOVED them!

    Jeremiah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The little cabin is a super cool cozy spot! Decor is super fun and the entire place is super clean! If your looking for a private romantic place to get away, unplug, and enjoy your partners this is it!!

    Jason2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time relaxing at the little cabin. Had so much fun exploring the local beaches, hanging out with our golden (Maple) and meeting their pups too! The hot tub at night was such a treat to star gaze.

    Amilee2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the Little Cabin for (a kid free!) 3 days and 2 nights. It was the most relaxed we’ve been in a long time! We hiked the property to the disc golf course. Lots of snow! Beautiful course. We made dinner together. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. We sat in the hot tub under the stars, amazing! Played some intense games of Yahtzee. My favorite part of all was just drinking coffee by the fire, relaxing and listening to music. We stopped at the gift shop on the way out and purchased a few more jars of our hosts delicious cherry preserves. Our stay at the Little Cabin was just what we needed to reconnect with each other and reset. It was a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to return! :)

  • My wife and I wanted a little getaway and neither of us had ever been to Sturgeon Bay before. The pictures of Lindsey’s place looked great so we booked for three nights. We were VERY happy with our stay. We wanted a place close to the water and Lindsey’s place far exceeded our expectations. We LOVED hearing the sound of the waves on the beach! We also enjoyed watching shore birds diving for food not more than 30 or 40 feet from where we sat on the couch in the living room. The house was very clean, with a wonderful beachy feel. The kitchen had everything we needed, the furniture was newer and comfortable, and being able to build an outdoor fire in the fire pit (with wood provided) was an especially nice touch. Lindsey was very quick to communicate, and very helpful during our stay. I bought an annual park pass while there, and Lindsey was happy to bring by a printed receipt to put on our car dash so we could use the pass without having to wait for the sticker to come in the mail. We will definitely try to book Lindsey’s place again next time we go to Sturgeon Bay!

  • Lindsey's cottage was a fantastic getaway. The location is superb, and Lindsey was very easy and quick to communicate with regarding check in/out as well as any questions I had during my stay. Would absolutely recommend.

  • It was beautiful and very relaxing. We didn't want to leave . We are planning on coming back very soon! Thank you.

    Sergio2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect! We booked the trip mid winter to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Obviously- due to covid-19, no hustle and bustle in chicago, but moving the quarantine for a weekend was delightful. Lindsey made us feel reassured. We brought breakfast and lunch flood- and had many takeout/delivery options in close distance for dinner. Hiking was great nearby on the ice age trail! (The real reason for picking the region for the getaway) Side note: bed was super comfy and view was beautiful to wake up to :)

  • This cottage was an amazing stay! The level of cleanliness and comfort was out of this world! And waking up to the beautiful views of the bay were breathtaking. Such an awesome little place tucked in a beautiful little neighborhood.

  • We had a perfect stay! The cottage is beautiful and the the views are incredible (loved watching the sunset across the bay). Lindsey is the perfect hostess and thought of all the details that make the stay special. Our nine month-old son enjoyed rolling around on a picnic blanket behind the cottage and watching the ducks in the water. We especially enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the location is! Another wonderful memory to store away...💓

Sit on your private patio and view the Grand Haven State Park pavilion. This one bedroom condo's patio provides a lovely view of Lake Michigan and the beach. This newly renovated lower-floor condo is stylish as well as comfortable, clean and quiet. Spend the day on the beach and then throw some shrimp on your private Weber grill, open a bottle of wine and relax on your patio overlooking Lake Michigan. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
We are across the street and halfway up a hill from GH State Park. Our hill is residential but very unique. Five Mile Hill is one of the area's highest sand dunes. It got its name in the 1800's, from fishermen who, when far out in Lake Michigan, saw the top of Five Mile Hill, they knew the distance to shore was 5 miles. We are located halfway up Emmet. If you walk to the top of our hill you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Michigan on one side, turn around and you get a panoramic view of Grand Haven and the Grand River Channel.

The Fisteris is not only a place to stay, it is an experience. Make it what you will, but keep an eye on the weather. It's as if the sky is promoting a different artist everyday
The Fisteris is a 365 sq ft. cabin on an organically grown blueberry farm and it is perfect for an early spring escapade. The berry bush stocks are a firery red against an alternating fallen cloud of snow. Four wheel drive is preferred but not a must. Park your car in the driveway and hop in our Mule *(ATV golf cart. for load-in and out only. we share it) The Fisteris is equipt with a fireplace, toaster oven, and cooler and will be all warmed up by the time you get there. There are also three accessible lakes within a 2 mile radius that are great for boating, fishing and swimming. There might possibly be a secret swimming hole (mineral pond ) very nearby good for rope swinging or a little fishing. There is also an ornate horse farm across the street (On Willow Pond) where anyone can set an appointment to ride. It's just over a 2 mile ride into nearby Bangor or a ten miler to the poplar South Haven for food and fun. Bangor has a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant entitled The Golden Bough and a cute dinner just east of the town called Blinkers that's serves breakfast and lunch. ArcLight brewery is nearby in Watervliet and brews really good beers and sours and not to mention the one of a kind, my personal favorite, The Great Mead Hall in Bangor. It has been a really good blueberry Mead from berries grown on our farm. Bangor is also becoming a mecca for Michigan cannabis. If that's your thing or used to be your thing, it's recreational now and all you need is picture ID and to visit the dispensary in town (the Green door). Bangor is also serviced to and from Chicago and Grand Rapids once a day by Amtrak. if you decide to take this carbon conservative transportation you will receive a 15% refund and drop off and pick up at the station. please reach out beforehand to confirm. Be safe and Enjoy!
We are located in southwest Michigan, a popular vacation destination with exuberant night life and beautiful beaches. The nearby town of Bangor has a great farm-to-table bistro, mead hall and all the essentials you might realize that you left home without.
  • This place is heaven! Rustic, peaceful, cozy, and eclectic. We stayed in March. It was cold and snowy but it was so cozy inside with a fire in the wood stove. My husband even jumped in the pond and warmed up in the hot tub after. The only thing I would have changed is make the tub bigger so two can fit. We will be back again. It was a perfect getaway!

  • The Fisteris was a lovely getaway for my partner, my dog and I. Even though it was raining it was super cozy in the cabin with a fire going in the stove. Hard to believe we were just a couple hours from the city!

  • Easily the best Airbnb I’ve been to. Amazing for adventurers, book readers, ‘trippers’, and outdoorsmen. Definitely coming back. It’s like an adult treehouse. Absolutely amazing, clean, hip, stylish, and cozy. Couldn’t recommend this more.

  • I almost don’t want to let anyone else in on this secret gem. It was so much better than I expected. A fire in the wood stove, a relaxed, pet friendly space, a toasty bathtub in nature, and secure enough to lock up at night. This really is a hidden paradise, I can’t wait to return in warmer weather. You’ll need 4-wheel drive to get back to the property, but that’s part of the charm. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here.

  • This place was absolutely amazing! Such a neat little tiny home with the coolest hot tub I have ever seen!! Would recommend this place for a little romantic getaway. Hearing the trains go by in the evening and morning is also an awesome experience. Will definitely be back!!

  • We stayed in February with two tots and a dog and had a great time. The space is super cozy - the upstairs was toasty warm (though the downstairs requires some thick wool socks or a pair of slippers to keep the winter chill away). The place is super charming and a great location. Joe is an incredibly responsive and accommodating host! We'd love to come back again in the summer!

  • A rustic slice of heaven! This place is truly one of a kind- looking forward to my next visit.

  • What a great find! We were looking for a unique place to stay for a weekend getaway, and the Fisteris was perfect! We came on a snow weekend and the landscape was so beautiful. We'd love to come back again in the spring.

Lovely 2-bedroom cottage with gorgeous views. Enormous windows, full kitchen and a huge fireplace make for an excellent retreat where you can recharge your batteries. Heaven for cyclists and kayakers. Pets welcome!
Welcome to our cottage, where our family spent many happy summer vacations. We loved Door County so much that we decided to live here full time. We now live next door: close enough for us to be available should you need anything, but far enough away so you can enjoy a private retreat. We're both private consultants that work with communities all around the country on matters concerning zoning, city planning, tourism and economic development. We're well-traveled--all seven continents--and love talking to people, but we'll also respect your right to be left alone. If you come during the summer there may be fresh tomatoes from the garden. You can relax by the lake and toast marshmallows by the fire pit. If you like to kayak or canoe, you can cast off from your private beach. The cottage is close to state parks if you enjoy hiking or biking. Door County features many quaint small towns with nice shopping districts, including numerous art galleries and antique stores. It's pretty easy to get tickets to the many professional theatre companies that mount performances every night. Many of our bars and restaurants offer free music. Lighthouses that are open to the public abound; we have more than any other county in the country. The details: It's a private 2 BR/ 1BA cottage on Door County's Green Bay side, south of Sturgeon Bay. There's a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, land line, and washer/dryer. You can rearrange the furniture to orient the seating areas towards either the fireplace (we have plenty of hardwood) or the water. Bedroom 1 features a queen-sized bed with a regular mattress and box spring. Bedroom 2 comes equipped with a queen-sized platform bed holding a regular mattress. Both bedrooms have sliding doors facing the water and leading to small decks. Air mattresses are available if you need them set up in the living room. All in all, it's: a terrific getaway. Come enjoy the summer season, fall foliage, fishing tournaments, hunting weekends, or snowmobiling . Pets welcome!
The cottage is located in a neighborhood that characterized by .50-1 acre wooded lots with seasonal residences. People love walking and biking around our loop road which has intermittent views of Riley's Bay and Sand Bay. There are a few small resorts and one campground in the vicinity, but it's primarily single family homes. The closest restaurant, Sunset Grill, is on the other side of Riley's Bay.
  • The cottage is a little slice of heaven. Private and out of a fairy tale. Lane and Elaine are the perfect host. Lane's art work is amazing. Can't wait till next summer.

  • This cabin was phenomenal! It’s right on the water and has a wood fireplace indoors, what more could you need in Door County? There’s ample natural light and plenty of firewood for the fireplace. Elaine was a superb host and made sure we had everything we needed. She gave us some insight into finding activities On the peninsula. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here for any season.

  • Great place to go up north! Great views and hospitality!

  • This was our second stay, and just as good as the first. Winter in Door County is beautiful and we spent a lot of time at Potawatomi state park or in downtown Sturgeon Bay. But we probably spent the most time just sitting by the fire and admiring the view. It’s a great spot, just as advertised, with a wonderful host.

  • Elaine’s Door County Lakeside Cottage is as close to perfect as it comes! Sitting by the fire, reading or looking out the amazing floor to ceiling windows at the snow falling is simply heaven. The cottage itself is a delight - everything you need, sparkling clean, with a creative touch. Door County in the winter is slower paced, but there is plenty to do, see and explore. Elaine made us feel very welcome, left delicious breakfast provisions in the fridge and plenty of wood for the fire. We slept like babies in the comfortable, cozy beds and the utter quiet. I’m sure the cottage is a lovely place to be in warmer weather as well with the lake right there at the shore!

  • Pictures don’t do it justice! Loved the stocked breakfast fridge, a v nice touch.

  • I can't say enough good things about Elaine's place. I've been visiting Sturgeon Bay for well over a decade and had no idea about this little neighborhood! What a hidden gem. The check-in process was simple, the communication before arrival was thorough. When we arrived, we were so happy, the cottage looks much nicer in person than the photos show online (and they look good)! What a nice touch to have breakfast supplies waiting for us in the refrigerator. The cottage was clean, lots of supplies for any weather, well decorated and so comfortable. We won't hesitate to book with Elaine again in the future! We honestly had a perfect stay.

  • We had such a great stay! Elaine really made everything so convenient, provided a nice breakfast and was so accommodating to anything we needed! We’d for sure come back!
