  • Amazing!

  • This place is brilliant. Fancy camping, with a loo and a shower in a super cosy cabin, amidst astonishing scenery. The cabin had everything we could have needed (and more - the fridge and the microwave were very handy!) and was a real gem of a find. Don't miss taking a wee walk to the local pub where the food looked excellent (although, we only eyed it and tried the wine - also excellent) and exploring the scenery. This place makes a fantastic base if you're walking or travelling nearby, and the hosts are so accommodating, welcoming and kind. We'll remember this trip fondly!

  • Great comfy space and easy to find almost immediately off the Corran ferry. Amazing views with benches and grilles set up outside. The pod itself was very warm even in single degree weather.

  • We fell in love with the location of the Pod, everything was perfect, and we can’t wait to go back. Stunning views, lovely welcome from the hosts, friendly animals and a beautiful spotless pod. I did not expect a microwave and fridge so this was a real bonus. Lovely and cosy in autumn temperatures, and so peaceful. A hot shower and soap provided in the bathroom. A dimmer switch to create a cosy atmosphere, and comfy beds. Everything was just perfect. A big thank you to John and Reece for accepting us as guests. If you’ve never stayed in a Pod before, go for it, it’s a fabulous experience.

The accommodation is rented on a room only basis breakfast is not provided. However, The fabulous Holly Tree Hotel and Restaurant is located 2 minutes away and we can arrange for you to enjoy breakfast there taking advantage of the amazing panoramic views. Pre-booking is required.
Luxury drench shower, deep double slipper bath and wonderfully comfortable king size bed. Internet TV with free wifi. Relaxation area with gas fire. Coffee machine, kettle, toaster, small hotel style fridge and limited crockery. There is no cooking facilities. Guests can opt to prepare a light continental style breakfast within the accommodation using their own food items. Outdoor seating area with views directly onto the loch.
Hi Folks A few recommendations for you to consider while your here. A quick internet search will give you more details! You'll be spoilt for choice for dinner options. The closest restaurant to us is The Holly Tree which has a fabulous lochside location and amazing panoramic views and you can walk to it easily. There is also Loch Leven Hotel which overlooks Ballachulish Bridge again a short drive from us or The Laroch Restaurant in Ballachulish village and Loch Leven Seafood Cafe on the shores of the Loch all of which have wonderful reviews !! Clachaig Inn is the climbers pub and restaurant with live music. It's really hard to choose if you have a quick internet search on these it may help you decide. Glen Etive is the estate owned by the family of Ian Fleming (James Bond fame) and location for part of Skyefall. The estate is situated in the heart of Glencoe. The other recommendations are a trip to Oban to visit the distillery. Also en route to Oban is Port Appin where you can see Stalker Castle from Jubilee Bridge and visit Pier House for Seafood or just a coffee and scone. The cafe above Stalker Castle is called “the view” 20 minute drive from here - and has great breakfast options! From Oban you can take a boat trip to the Isle of Mull and onto tranquil Iona and the Abbey - its a long day but really worth the effort. Skye is also possible as a day trip and I would highly recommend you use the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale on Skye. The journey from Fort William to Mallaig is classed as one of the 10 best journeys in Europe - stop at Camusdarroch beach its simply stunning! If you choose Adrnamurchan seek out Sanna Bay and if open The Boat House at Kingairloch is a great stop for lunch. If the weather is awful book afternoon tea at Inverlochy Castle Hotel in Fort William - it's a real treat and worth a visit total relaxation and a wonderful experience! You are probably best to pre book. The gondola trip up the mountain can be found at Nevis Range just outside Fort William and a short drive from Inverlochy Castle Hotel. You may also like the drive to Glenfinnan and Mallaig - route of the famous Harry Potter train. Glenfinnan also has the monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie and the famous viaduct from the film. There is an amazing waterfall at Steall Falls situated in Glen Nevis and the Lost Valley in Glencoe is a spectacular hike or we do have Ben Nevis !! For mountain biking Nevis Range is home of the mountain bike World Cup track. If your brave and would like to try canyoning, via feratta or kayaking look at vertical decents. Discover Glencoe is a great web site for ideas too. There is a small grocery store in Ballachulish called the CoOp which is open from 7am to 10pm in case you needed anything. Hope this helps !! Kind regards Mairi
  • absolutely beautiful place to stay... would definitely stay there again. all the touches were amazing and the studio was stunning ... such attention to detail...

    Kate2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time here, as soon as we arrived we where met by mari who was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of good local recommendations. We where immediately blown away by the views, and the accommodation itself is terrific and very cosy, with a huge easy to use fire, and all the essential facilities, aswell as plenty of little personal touches throughout that made it a very charming place to stay.

    Tommy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, stunning place, excellently well appointed, we only wish we could have stayed longer....highly recommend!

    Andrew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, super clean and stylish base to go and explore the surrounding area. Gorgeous soft furnishings and design in the studio. Very homely feel, the view is outstanding. Despite our not so lovely weather. Very helpful tips and amenities were great. All in all cracking wee place to stay!

    Joanne2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot fault this place at all! Right from the moment we booked this until we left we were blown away. The attention to detail, the flexibility of Mairi, the little touches, even down to the bedding and towels. Genuinely loved it and we cannot wait to come back!

    Loren2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space and perfectly located. Spent a peaceful and enjoyable evening here and highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. You won’t be disappointed.

    Patrick2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This studio flat is in an excellent location overlooking Loch Linnhe towards the hills to the North. The road below is not at all noticeable and there is a very good footpath/cycle track over the road which follows the sea in both directions. Despite temperatures of -4 the studio was very warm and there was copious hot water for the comfortable bath. There is a good sized mini fridge with fresh milk provided. There is a coffee pod type machine, good quality kettle, microwave, toaster and egg boiler. The overall standard was very high so the studio is highly recommended. We thought the Pier House restaurant/hotel at Port Appin was excellent for location, service and quality.

  • Driftwood Cottage was the perfect birthday getaway! Although it was just the two of us the cottage provided ample, comfortable space and was everything we needed. The cottage itself is very homely and cosy, tidy and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The main bedroom is cosy with a good bed and a fantastic view of the Loch to wake up to. Undine is a very responsive host who left us birthday biscuits for our arrival which was a lovely touch! Book it!

  • Great location, comfortable cottage and lovely host. We were lucky. The weather was mild and sunny and we got out for plenty of walks. This is a great base to explore from, in every direction. Had the weather been different it would have been a pleasure to relax at the cottage. It is very comfortable and cosy with the fire on. The views are stunning. Highly recommend.

Schoolhouse cottage has gorgeous views of the sea and mountains and is wonderfully located for exploring the highlands. Here you can enjoy the flexibility of a whole cottage, but for short stays if that suits you best.
The cottage is light, bright and cozy and overlooks Loch Linnhe and the mountains of Glencoe and Ballachulish. The spacious living room has a vaulted ceiling and leads on to an open plan kitchen and dining area. The bedroom is small, but has a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress and fitted wardrobes. The whole cottage is decorated in restful, neutral colours. Located on the main route through the western highlands, connecting Glencoe to Mallaig, Skye and the small isles, the cottage is on the A82, 10 miles south of Fort William and between the villages of Onich and North Ballachulish. Surrounding the cottage are beautiful gardens with an outdoor seating area. Across the road, steps lead on to a secluded, shingle beach with views eastwards towards Glencoe and westwards towards the Isle of Mull. There is free Wi-Fi, along with a TV/DVD player and a Bluetooth music system. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, and basics such as organic sunflower oil, fairtrade sugar, salt and pepper are also provided. In addition, you will find complimentary organic ground coffee, fairtrade instant coffee, fairtrade and organic tea, as well as Scottish shortbread. Laundry facilities are also available. Perfect as a base for exploring the Highlands and touring on to Skye and the northern isles, the cottage offers the flexibility of short stays for two or more nights, self-catering. The cottage sleeps two and we can additionally provide a cot and high chair for wee ones. One dog is usually welcome at no extra charge but please check with us before booking if you intend to bring a dog. On your arrival, you will find complimentary, organic, ground coffee, tea, milk and Scottish shortbread. We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.
There are many nice places to eat nearby, including the Loch Leven Hotel and the Onich Hotel, both of which are dog-friendly, and the Laroch restaurant and bar in Ballachulish, whose kitchen is run by Michelin Star Chef, Allan Donald. For seafood, the Loch Leven Seafood Café is highly recommended. As the Outdoor Capital of the UK, the region of Lochaber is fantastic for all kinds of outdoor activities including hiking, sailing, skiing, ice-climbing and cycling. The ski resorts of Glencoe and the Nevis ranges are about 25 minutes' drive away and are open all year round for skiers and hikers. Boat trips to visit the islands and spot wildlife depart from Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe. A thirty mile radius from the cottage takes in Ben Nevis, the mountains of Glencoe, the world's largest indoor ice-climbing wall, the Seal Sanctuary near Oban, Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie gathered the clans in 1745 and the famous Harry Potter viaduct .... to name but a few.
  • We had a fabulous stay at the schoolhouse cottage. The cottage was sparkling clean, very cozy and in a stunning location. Sarah and Chris were quick to respond to messages and had added thoughtful touches like a wee Christmas tree which made us feel right at home. Cant wait to go back!

    Gordon2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband’s and my stay at The Schoolhouse Cottage was incredible! This was by far our favorite Airbnb stay we’ve ever had. Chris and Sarah were the absolute best hosts. They greeted us as we arrived and showed us around. The cottage was so organized and so clean and we had all the amenities that we needed. Chris and Sarah even left us a small pitcher of milk for our tea/coffee and some delicious shortbread cookies. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our Scotland honeymoon trip. The next chance we get to come back to Scotland, we will 100% be booking another stay at the schoolhouse cottage. We would highly recommend staying here!

    Candace2019-10-23T00:00:00Z

  • The place was amazing with amazing views of the mountains, and for those harry potter fans, the hosts have all 7 movies ! Worth a stay !

    Steven2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house is clean and tidy, and the windows and the gates are the lake and the mountains. Each window is like a painting, especially at sunrise and sunset. Very worth living.

    Pudan2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying here! We were only there for one night, but it was my favorite place that we stayed at on our trip (stayed at 4 different places in Scotland). The view was incredible, and the house was clean and nicely decorated. The hosts were really nice and met us when we arrived. They even left us some milk in the fridge which was very helpful since we didn’t have time to go to the store!

  • Things to know when staying at this AirBnB. 1. It's a clean house, good location. Close to bus stop. About 8-10min walk. 2. Minimal to no heating, bedroom is very cold, all the extra blankets had to be used. 3. Limited hot bathing water. 4. Breakfast consists of tea, coffee, toast, fruit, cereal and yogurt. 5. Ths wifi is fast and works well. 6. Being in the house during the day is an inconvenience to homeowner, if there during the daytime you will feel very unwelcomed. 7. There is a 5% off for dinner or 10% off for lunch discount for the hotel restaurant that is next door. 8. Area is good for hiking and outdoor activities. 9. You must take buses to get a round, not very walkable. 10. There is an art gallery less than 2 minutes walk from the house. Lots of nice artwork by local artists. The area was lovely. The sights were gorgeous.

  • Let me start by saying, on a clear night, you can see the stars. Not only are the views amazing, the location is really convenient. The breakfast spread is good, the hospitality is phenomenal, and the amenities are decent. Sarah is really kind, had great tips about where to visit, and even booked us a dinner table at the nearby Loch Leven Hotel with a discount. We were initially not sure about booking because of the unlocked doors system, but it wasn’t at all a concern while we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Sarah is a lovely Host! very kind and welcoming. Her home is really nice and she pays attention to many great details. The check in and out was very easy. We loved the restaurant in the hotel next door, would defenitely recommend it, and you get a voucher too :) The surroundings are amazing too, Glencoe is just a 20min drive from there. We loved it :)

  • Great place to stay, clean and warm. Lovely view, ponies and horses. Would highly recommended.

  • Easy to contact to arrange check in and flexible. Me and the dog had a really nice couple of days - she was unsure of the horses at first but theres a good fenced off area for the dog to run around. Got some local info when we checked in - walks, shops the pub etc. Inspite of the weather we had a really nice time - chilled out and very cosy food-would reccomend staying at the pods

    Agnieszka2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location with views over the Loch and fields of castle and ponies. The pods were surprisingly spacious with a very good shower and cute decking area. Highly recommend when travelling with a dog.

  • Cozy pods with everything you need. Specially a warm shower after a hike day. Sparkling clean.

  • Very pleasant and atypical stay I recommend for a night!

    Victoire2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don’t do justice to quite what an awe inspiring setting the pods are in. There are views to Glencoe on one side and Mull on the other. A short walk (20 mins) through the forest brings you to a pub, which serves food (although we didn’t eat there). Tea and coffee facilities are available in the pod. There is also a handy fridge and microwave. The Corran ferry is regular and the crossing is very quick. Pedal bikes and foot passengers are free. Vehicles have to pay, they take cash or card payment. John was very welcoming and gave us good advice about the local area. We would love to go back and explore some more!

  • Jeannine was so lovely! She’s very personable and helpful. She offered tips and advice for things to do in the area and where to eat. The room and bed were very comfortable. I loved staying here!

    Kristen2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine’s place exceeded expectations. The room was clean and spacious; much larger than we had anticipated. Jeannine was so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, with cereal, yoghurt and fruit, all the tea and coffee you could need, as well as ham and cheese for sandwiches. Absolutely loved our stay!

    Samantha2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine's place was awesome. A true gem. Outstanding hospitality and excellent breakfast choices. What a lovely stay. Make sure to look out for the Corran Gardens sign as the pin drop takes you past the house.

  • Jeannine is a lovely person, she welcomed us very well in her house which is very well located to enjoy Glencoe and Glen Nevis. Thanks again for your time and your warm welcome ! We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. And Jeanine was wonderful to talk to. We could not have asked for a better place. We highly recommend staying here when in the area.

    Mark2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only for one night at Jeannine's house but it was like coming home for a few hours. After a long journey, he wanted us. The welcome we received was the best, so much so that for the whole time we thought of finding ourselves in a hotel instead of an airbnb. The private bathroom and the table already set for an abandoned breakfast have certainly helped. I wish I had more time to listen to Jeannine's suggestions on things to do and see around. We will definitely be back. Thanks Jeannine!

    Tabata2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • She is an adorable hostess who welcomes you to her home. The room has a bathroom and breakfast is self service with a lot of choice. Very good address!

  • Fantastic little cottage, well equipped and cosy, particularly with the log burner on a cold winter night. Great location for those heading out into the mountains with a 20min drive to Glencoe one way and 25min drive to the North Face car park the other. Well away from the main road the cottage is very quiet and peaceful, definitely recommended.

    Samuel2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beachcomber cottage is exactly as described and the location is stunning. The cottage is perfectly formed, very comfortable and sparkling clean. Undine is very responsive and make sure you have everything you need. It was hard to find in the dark, so I would recommend you arrive during daylight hours in you are at all concerned about navigating in rural Scotland.

    Lindsey2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a clean, warm, cosy and welcoming two-story cottage in a stunning location. Views of Loch Linnhe from the living room picture window are just amazing. The property has all the amenities you might need for a relaxing stay and Undine, our host, was responsive and helpful. We are a family of five adults and there was plenty of room for us and our luggage. Undine and the cottage thoroughly deserve the five star rating and we would most certainly be happy to return.

    Glencoe, United Kingdom

Situated in a peaceful hamlet close to the banks of Loch Leven at the heart of the Scottish Highlands our two self-catering holiday cottages are surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. They are close to the stunning Glencoe valley (5 miles), Fort William and Ben Nevis (13 miles) and not far from Oban and the Isle of Mull (30 miles). Both cottages benefit from high speed BT Infinity Wifi. Our two stone cottages also benefit from being within walking distance to the village pub, The Old Ferry Bar and restaurant at the nearby Loch Leven Hotel. A short walk takes you down through the grounds of Alltshellach Country House opposite to picturesque Bishop's Bay on the banks of Loch Leven, and then along the forested loch side path to the Loch Leven Hotel. The Old Ferry Bar serves River Leven ales and has a comprehensive single malt and gin collection. Alternatively an even shorter route to the pub can be found along the gravel lane opposite the cottages (take a torch for the walk back!).
Alltshellach Cottages form part of a trio of courtyard cottages and date from the 19th century. Built from Kentallen granite under a Ballachulish slate roof, they were originally built to house servants working at Alltshellach Country House (former residence of the Bishop of Argyll, hence Bishop’s Bay), which stands opposite. The cottages have been refurbished to provide very high standard self-catering accommodation, and each has been awarded a 4 star grading by Visit Scotland.
North Ballachulish is located right in the centre of the Scottish Highlands and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland.
  • We had a lovely 4 night stay at the Old Stables. The place was clean and comfortable (the bedding was fantastic!) - it was a great place to come back to after long, cold and wet walks!

  • A fantastic property. Thoroughly enjoyed our winter break at The Stables.

  • Lovely cottage, well styled, well equipped. In beautiful surroundings.

    Sander2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful cottage and the most amazing thing about the property is SPACE! The three bedrooms are generously proportioned but best of all are spread out throughout the property with interconnected corridors. Great if mum and dad (or the kids) want a bit of privacy from each other! The well appointed and spacious living area with kitchen / diner / sitting area was great for chilling out in, with a great view across the courtyard to the Pap of Glencoe. Good communication with a great host and spotlessly clean throughout. Location is excellent - quiet and peacefully tucked away at the back of North Ballachulish village, but you can be in Kinlochleven, Glencoe or Fort William in 15-20 minutes. We skied at Glencoe Mountain and visited the Ice Factor Climbing wall, along with numerous walks into the mountains around the loch. No shortage of activities in this area! Highly recommended and I'm sure we'll be back.

    Richard2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay and is immaculate. It is a very cosy cottage to come home to after a long day out. Hopefully one day will return in the not so distant future.

  • Lawrence is the most wonderful host you could ask for - warm, incredibly helpful and friendly, full of useful tips and patient! We can't speak highly enough of him! His wife's cooking was also spectacular and the breakfast quality was outstanding. We hope the government will help him get the high speed internet for his place - that would be icing on a rather excellent cake.

  • Lawrence has been a wonderful host. Very friendly, helpful and thoughtful around lots of details, which make the stay special. Great breakfast and great scenery. I can fully recommend! Thomas

    Grace2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough about my stay at Craiglinnhe. First, the location and views are to die for and the photos in the listing don't come close to doing it justice. Absolutely breathtaking. Lawrence was there to greet me and was so welcoming. He gave me all the tips and tricks of the place, and when he found I hadn't made reservations for dinner that evening offered to take care of it for me! So kind. My intention the next day was to hike Ben Nevis, which was going to have me out earlier than breakfast is served. Learning this, Lawrence offered a takeaway pack of breakfast so I was sure to eat! When I came down the next morning, the pack was there but unfortunately the visibility was not so I called of the hike. He welcomed me to join the breakfast room and got me tea and made me comfortable even though I wasn't technically RSVP'd for that mornings full meal. Knowing my desire for hike, he gave me suggestions around the area and a map to borrow and the day turned out just lovely because of it. The views of the loch from the breakfast room, sitting room, and Room 5 are unbelievable. The room itself was very comfortable and plenty in size. I would recommend this space to anyone and absolutely plan on returning!! Thank you for an amazing 2 days in and around Glencoe!

    Christie2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lawrence is truly one of the most welcoming and helpful people we've ever met. He gave awesome tips and things to do in the area. The place is easy to find (we drove) while overlooking the loch. The house and view is gorgeous. It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was clean, neat with a clean modern bathroom. They offer an amazing and delicious breakfast! Definitely recommend his place and I would definitely stay here again! Cheers!

  • Lovely pods with a great view and a warm welcome. The pods are very comfy for 2 people with more than enough space. The bathroom could definitely do with some shelves or hooks as there's nowhere to put toiletries. Note that dogs are welcome, but we weren't told about the £10 charge per dog until after booking. There are 2 cooking hobs and limited utensils, so make sure you consider meals in advance (and note the restaurant is closed over winter). Would definitely come again

  • Great place. Better to book with the hotel.

    Marissa2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Onich Hotel was so lovely. We stayed in the Beach Pods and actually couldn't recommend enough, honestly they're beautiful with incredible views. We had no issues with the service provided and managed to make use of the bar in the evening ❤️ I can completely understand with regards to the kitchen being closed, we was however looking forward to eating in the hotel and had to drive further out for dinner as not many options close by (No deliver options from restaurants nearby). We did really enjoy and will definitely, without a doubt book again ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Free Parking down by the Pod was a big benefit too ❤️ Thank you very much

    Liam2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A quirky, fun beach pod with amazing views. Small but had what we needed (we asked for tea, coffee etc. and collected a little basket of things from reception) and was a great novelty for our 9 year old.

    Nicki2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

BRAND NEW Opening this July 2018 Skyfall & Outlander Suites Glencoe at Creag an t Sionnaich - The Foxes Rock. Two exquisitely furnished 5 Star apartments in a fabulous loch side location. No formal kitchens are available These ground and first floor apartments are individual in style and boast the same standard you would expect to find in a five star boutique hotel. Each apartment has outstanding views and lavish furnishings to ensure you feel truly spoilt in your Highland Hideaway!
Please note we offer only serviced suites- there is NO formal kitchen facilities at either Outlander or Skyfall apartments. We do offer a small hotel type fridge, nexpresso machine, kettle, toaster and limited crockery. The apartments are NOT intended to be used as self-catering accommodation. They are an ideal base for a short stay offering space and luxurious comfort where you have the ability to prepare a light continental breakfast should you wish.
  • What an amazing shortstay we had at Skyfall, Glencoe. 5* accommodation, beautiful decor, quality furnishings and stunning views. Fantastic communication from Mairi and Tony and they have the place just absolutely perfect. Such a relaxing time we had... memories made. We will definitely be back.

    Constance2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This really is a next-level AirBnB. For starters, the location is incredible, with sweeping views across the water and the mountains beyond. The space itself is large and luxurious, with everything you could want. The bathroom and tub is a sight to behold. Tony, who we met, was extremely helpful and hospitable in showing us the property. Mairi was very responsive and communicative throughout the booking process. 5 stars all round.

    Thomas2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely incredible stay - special touches everywhere. I thought it was going to be lovely from the photos - but it was even more beautiful in real life. Lovely big bath after a day of walking and a place to rest. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thanks Mairi! Xx

    Rachel2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mairi's guest home is absolutely beautiful. It is in a great location just a couple miles from town. Mairi provided a lot of great tips on where to eat and what to see nearby. We only stayed 1 night before heading to Skye, but next time we will be sure to stay for a few nights!

    Thomas2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is by the far the most amazing place to stay in the highlands! The view of the loch and the amazing touches around the apartment are the most perfect stay!

    Mathieu2019-10-29T00:00:00Z

  • What an amazing stay! We only stayed 1 night, but it was very comfortable. So clean, location is beautiful and we enjoyed our breakfast that Helen so kindly offered for us. And it is safe place to leave your car overnight.

  • Beautiful cottage in a magical part of Scotland. Couldn’t recommend more!

    Anand2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah's place is lovely, cosy and well furnished. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare breakfast and dinner, the couch and bed were very comfortable, and the burner added a romantic and warm touch. The location is a perfect starting point to explore Glencoe and the surroundings, indeed a stunning corner of Scotland. Communication with Deborah was quick and accurate. I would definitely recommend her cottage to anyone!

    Giulia2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah's little cottage is so peaceful and the fire is a fab touch. Communication was great and in a fab location short drive away from lots of places of interest such as glencoe! We loved being a tourist in our own country with this beautiful place to stay.

    Emma2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place about 15 minutes from all the attractions in Glencoe. Kitchen had all the amenities I needed to cook meals, and the bed was comfy. A fire in the wood burning stove was a great way to unwind after a long day hiking. (A scotch in hand, of course)

Cosy glamping pod on the coast of the Highlands of Scotland overlooking the mountains of Glencoe with the imposing Ben Keil in the background. The pod is situated on a working croft by the shores of Loch Linnhe. There is abundant wildlife on our doorstep from red deer and sea eagles to pine marten and otters. There are many wonderful areas to explore here from leisurely walks or Ben Nevis being a 25 min drive. Plus the beautiful Glenfinnan viaduct and the Harry Potter train being 40 min drive !
Ardgour is the gateway to the Arnamurchan Peninsula and an hrs drive to the most westerly point in the UK.
  • The pod is just gorgeous. Cosy, clean and beautiful. Also surprisingly spacious. The location is stunning and also just a 10 min walk from the pub which serves awesome food. Belle is a fantastic host, some lovely little touches when we arrived of a bottle of wine, some chocolates and lovely biscuits. The pod is really well kitted out with all the bits and pieces you would need. There is also a warm wee shed outside to wash and dry any wet kit. Great weekend, we’ll be back for sure !

    Alan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable little pod! Modern, stylish and clean. Check in was easy as Isabel met us and she was available for all our questions. It was a girls weekend for us with 4 guests and we found it spacious enough. Incredible stay and would highly recommend staying here!

  • Had such a lovely short stay at Effie Pod! First time staying somewhere like this and I really loved it! I felt so comfortable and safe, it's really well stocked and well presented. Belle was available with tips and chat at her home just down the drive, but the pod still feels like a cosy private space for yourself! The area is beautiful and easy to reach by foot from the Corran ferry. Thank you so much Belle :)

  • We had a great stay in the cabin - it is in the most beautiful setting overlooking the loch and hills in the distance. Very romantic and cosy. We had a warm welcome from Isabel upon our arrival, and the accommodation had everything we needed plus some lovely touches to make our stay that extra special such as some chocolates and wine :) couldn't recommend more highly.

  • Very lovely hut. Everything was very clean and new! Thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay.

    Natasha2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Effie Pod, it was clean, warm and lovely treats in the fridge on arrival. It was a great, cosy retreat to return to after a day out in the beautiful surrounding Scottish Highlands. Everything I wanted and more! Isabel was lovely and we shall definitely be returning! Recommend to anyone.

    Abbey2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Effie Pod was excellent! The pod is so cosy and the views are as spectacular as you’d hope. It’s a perfect spot for exploring the highlands and Belle, our lovely host, ensured our stay was comfortable and memorable. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a unique place to stay in a scenic location.

Super comfy lochside cottage with Loch and mountain views looking down towards Mull and up to the haunting Glencoe. The cottage is situated in a peacefully spot just off the main A82 half a mile down a private lane, which is 8 miles south of Fort William and the impressive Ben Nevis mountain. From the cottage you can access the beach to play or follow the trials to the waterfalls at Inchree, plus stop and have a wee dram. We do not allow work men. Pets are welcome at a small charge of £20.00
  • We had to cancel our trip to Joanne at the last minute as travel restrictions from where we are started changing with coronavirus. Joanne was so understanding, and so helpful. She had offered to accept our supermarket delivery before, and was kind enough to be there to send it back so we weren't charged for it. We really, really hope to get to Onich in the future and will definitely try to stay at Joanne's.

    Ishbel2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location with fantastic scenery and lots to do in the surrounding area. Great communication with prompt and helpful responses.

    Stef2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house, lovely area- hope to get back some time. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Angela2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne’s place is very cosy and well equipped. It has everything that you might need, is very quiet, clean & comfortable. The view of the Loch from the living room is amazing! There’s also a beach at the end of the lane which was great for exercising our dog. Joanne was very communicative & helpful - would recommend anyone to stay here.

    Sara2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The location cannot be better, just in front of the loch with amazing views. The property is small, bigger than the photos led us to think, but extremely comfortable, with all we could need. Easy access to Glencoe and Fort William. Could not be better.

    Thais2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This holiday accommodation is beautiful, clean and well equipped but the most outstanding part is the view from the decking, unbelievable and photos don't do them justice.

    Margo2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's holiday house is set in the most beautiful place. Out of the back, you have views over the loch and mountains and then if you walk just 2 minutes round the corner towards the loch, you get to see the rocky beach and snow-capped mountains. Such a stunning location. Onich itself has no shop but Ballachulish isn't too far and Fort William has several supermarkets like Morrison's. The house is comfortable and warm after a long day out exploring the area. We especially liked the high chair and travel cot with mattress provided for and set up for our little one. We had everything we needed for a week away from home. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

    Rebecca2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • House in a very nice environment, very comfortable with a magnificent view of the bay of the living room, there is even a typical manor like neighbor. From this destination you can easily go for walks from Glencoe and shopping in Fort Williams. Only downside a car is essential. Address to recommend.

We even saw a deer right up next the window one morning while we were making coffee. The place was clean and warm , and everywhere you look there are special little touches. We would definitely stay here again. Everything was just perfect.

    Guillaume2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jane and Barry ‘s from 30.12.19 - 2.1.20 and had a wonderful time in the Dragon s den which is a brilliantly designed cabin . We visited with our 15 year old son who also loved the design . It had everything we needed and makes a clever use of space . We cooked everyday using both the oven and hob available and found the kitchen well equipped . The main bedroom was warm and comfortable and our son had lots of space in the mezzanine . The cabin is well located and there ‘s lots to see and do in the local area . We walked everyday and saw the most stunning views and scenery . Would recommend Loch Etive and Glen etive where you will see the most amazing scenery , lots of deer and if lucky some otters ! Would also recommend the 4 mile walk at the back of the cabin and the walks at Signal Rock if you are looking for shorter walks . Barry and Jane are excellent hosts and make your stay very special. They are a warm and generous couple who will ensure you have everything you need. The Dragon’s Den is highly recommended .
