  • Wow, what can I say! An exceptionally beautiful property with lovely grounds and plenty to explore. I visited with 3 work colleagues and we spent the first evening taking photo's of the property and video calling friends to show them. Hosts were so friendly and offered lots of information in our message exchanges. The property was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, the showers had plenty of pressure, a kitchen fully kitted out and also off road parking inside the imposing gates too! Thank you!

  • Absolutely amazing, worth every penny! The castle is more than what you could expect it was beautiful! Thankyou so much for a great mid-week break we had the best time! Olivia x

  • We spent 3 nights here for my mother in laws 70th birthday celebrations. We were a party of 9 in the end. It was the perfect setting. The grounds and castle are beautiful. All Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Only problem we had which was our fault, was 2 family members are disabled. One stayed in the downstairs bedroom. Other in the clock house as neither of them could managed going upstairs due to it being a spiral iron staircase. The clock house shower wasn’t suitable for the family member staying there as they needed a walk in shower. So it meant they had to come inside and share the downstairs shower also which was fine. But worth mentioning to any further guests that may have more than one disabled person in their party. We all will strongly recommend this property. Claire and Adrian very helpful when asking about outside catering companies. Which we didn’t end up using as it was really easy getting a Tesco’s delivery to the property. Check in and directions were excellent. This was a stress free few days away. We would all love to return in the future and can imagine how lovely it would be in the summer months.

  • Exactly as stated, this is a great, characterful place to stay with wonderful hosts that respond quickly to communication.

    Jamie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place. Good facilities for catering. Great open relaxation areas. Function but beautiful bedrooms. House lovely and warm. Clock house great for any guests that can’t manage the stairs and nicer than described. Loads of room for parking and grounds would be lovely in dry weather. Great, unique quirky place.

    Deb2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, the photos on air bnb do not do the castle justice. It is simply a stunning place that feels so authentic. The grounds surrounding the castle are also fantastic and given we had the right weather, a lot of time would have been spent outside in the massive gardens utilising the bbq they have. The dining room was a personal favourite of mine and if we didn’t want to cook there was 20+ places that delivered to the castle on Just Eat. (Nacho cheese was an excellent takeaway) Adrian and Claire were lovely hosts and got back to me so quickly about any queries I had during the week. I can’t fault anything during my stay at longs park castle. I’d previously seen some reviews that made me a tad bit skeptical of the place prior to my arrival but I don’t know why I was worried because as I said, I couldn’t fault the place. Myself and friends had a brilliant break and will definitely be returning in the summer at some point. Thank you Claire & Adrian! ☺️

  • Can’t give this place enough stars. The communication with hosts Claire and Adrian before our stay was wonderful. We were given extremely detailed instructions about the check in and using the house generally. Although the check in did not require meeting them, they responded to our messages within minutes from check in to check out. We visited as a group of friends having a university reunion and the castle is just the perfect place for this type of event. The novelty factor of staying in a castle, complete with coats of armour and four poster beds was amazing. Although it must be an old building, it was extremely warm (the hosts sent very clear instructions about the hot water and heating) and the hot water worked for all of us. Lots of the rooms are en-suites and there are a few standalone toilets/bathrooms as well. The beds were comfy with very clean bed linen and towels provided. The only thing to be aware of is that there is capacity in the main house for ten people and the remaining beds are in an outhouse which has two doubles and two Z beds. The outhouse was absolutely fine but not as nice as the main house. Worth bearing in mind when planning sleeping arrangements. All in all, I can’t recommend the place more. Huge amounts of fun and lovely hosts.

  • A truly magical place for adults and children. We loved eating meals at the large dining space and enjoying wine together. It rained quite a bit whilst we were there but still plenty to do and space within the house and separate games room. The downstairs bedroom was perfect to put our three year old down to sleep on the evening before transferring him up to bed with us later on as it’s right next to main living area. Elderly may struggle with stair case, however double bedroom downstairs and toilet and shower plus the lovely annex which is perfect for older people again with own kitchen and bathroom. Washing machine meant we could wash wet clothes and space to dry them. In between showers driveway which was safe and enclosed meant we could enjoy ball games and not get muddy. Kids loved climbing the fallen tree by the play area. We took some amazing photos both inside and out. A great place to stay for all ages. Supermarkets and town of Trowbridge only 9 min drive. Nature reserve - we had a lovely walk. On way home we stopped off at Bradford on Avon which again was beautiful. Thank you Adrian and Claire our half term break was magical.

  • We had a lovely two night break in Wiltshire in this quirky Airbnb. The space is lovely and plenty of space for two adults and a dog. The location is perfect. We enjoyed walked along the canal (3 minutes walk from the cottage) to get to the locks. Lots of lovely pubs and nearby villages to visit too. We could have stayed for a lot longer 😊

    Katrina2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This space is spot on for a retreat. Beautiful, simple, well designed space perfect for thinking, being still, praying, worshiping. In a beautiful countryside location with plenty to explore outdoors if that's what you want to do. Wonderful hosts. We are very grateful for the time. We used it as a retreat space for the beginning of the new year. Thank you

  • Lovely self contain cabin, seems like a remote location with the final half mile drive to the cabin and their house but this is deceptive as it is actually very easy to reach all the main local highlights of Whiltshire by car. Deep in the countyside, lots of stars on a clear night, well away from the turmoil of a town, city life.

    Maria2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, great location by the canal, friendly pooches 😊

  • If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind this is it - Melissa’s gardens are beautiful and we were even lucky enough to borrow the canoe to explore along the country side by canoeing up the brook. Really an idyllic setting - thank you!

  • Beautiful property. Quiet and peaceful location.

  • Absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home! The chapel has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and the little touches are what made it for me (the fresh bottle of milk). Loved it so much that I'm thinking of making it an annual tradition. Thank you Penny for sharing your space!

    Giselle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This converted chapel was a beautiful place to stay. It felt cosy and spacious at the same time! It was wonderfully furnished and the whole place was really stylish. We will definitely be back.

    Elizabeth2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Completely and utterly impressed with this beautiful, quaint and so well equipped accommodation. This is hosting at its very very best. Penny has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay soo homely and comfortable. Was so easy to book in and check out. Fantastic stay while exploring the surrounding area which offers a varied amount of things to do. The local New Inn just a short walk from the accommodation serves delicious food. As we drive home we are already planning a return trip as we enjoyed this one so much. Thanks Penny for having us.

    Angela2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very comfortable two-night stay in the chapel. The building itself and the décor are both lovely and there were plenty of thoughtful touches – Penny has great taste and attention to detail. There was also useful info on-hand including things to do locally, the interesting history of the chapel and helpful visuals for how to use the sofa bed. We would definitely stay here again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a quirky and cosy retreat in the Bath area.

    Faye2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply beautiful. Secluded, spacious and homely it offered exactly what I was after to surprise my partner for a lovely little romantic break away. The host sent through a welcome message with all the details on gaining entry, where to go if you wanted to eat out and the contact details if you needed anything. There was a lovely little rest of goodies on arrival (drink and shortbread) along with milk in the fridge. The bedroom in the mezzanine area is spacious and the bed very comfortable! The kitchen has everything you need and the shower room, although downstairs from the bedroom, is light and fresh and has all the toiletries. We ended up eating at The Bunch of Grapes in Bradford-on-Avon, which the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend if you’re happy to spend that little bit more. Could not fault it or the service. Following night we ate at the local village pub, The New Inn. Again lovely, decent pub food, with very good portions. Again could not fault. Will definitely look to return at some point.

A beautiful 1750s cottage in Bradford on Avon, voted by the Sunday Times as the best town to live in 2015, just 5 miles from Bath. The cottage is set up with 2 rooms with double beds, 1 room with a double and a single, and can host 7 people in the cottage. The original wash house for the terrace, has a lovely light and airy studio the garden with an additional king size bed sleeping 2, hence a maximum total of 9 guests. It is cosy, so suits smaller groups well as well.
In the cottage there are two rooms with double beds and 1 room with a double and a single, so in total the cottage sleeps 7. In addition there is a lovely light and airy studio in the garden which sleeps 2, or a sofa bed in the lounge. Travel cots can be provided, and an additional single mattress on floor if accommodating smaller children. Works well for couples, small groups of friends or families. Use of the studio for parties of 7 and under needs to be agreed in advance. If smaller groups would like use of the studio that can also be arranged but for an additional fee. The cottage oozes character with exposed wooden beams throughout the property, mullion windows all carefully crafted from Bath Stone, and the original staircase and floor boards in some of the rooms. It has a cosy wood burner for winter stays, and a small but perfectly formed garden to enjoy on sunny days. There is use of a BBQ in the garden and charcoal is provided. The cottage sleeps 7 and there is a lovely studio in the garden with a kingsize bed, tea making facilities and a sofa so the group can spread out. It is light and airy. There is no bathroom in the outbuilding so guests staying here would need to use the bathroom in the cottage. The sheets are all Egyptian cotton from John Lewis with quality bedding throughout. Guests have commented about the comfort and quality. The stairs are original and quite steep. Stairgates are provided if young children require them but please let us know in advance so we can put them up. We have many families with young children stay. People with mobility issues may however find the stairs difficult.
Bradford on Avon is a beautiful town on the edge of the Cotswolds with easy access to Bath. It is a beautiful town in its own right with plenty of sights and activities to enjoy. Many guests comment that they only wish they could have stayed longer. Bradford on Avon is divided into two halves - and this cottage is on the Bath side of town at the top of the hill. On the plus side, this means it quicker for access into Bath if you are driving, however while the centre is less than a 5 minute walk, there is a rather steep hill. If you are on foot, coming from the town centre back up, I would recommend using Whitehill or Woolley Street rather than Masons Lane as it is slightly less steep and less traffic. Guests with walking difficulties may prefer to drive down town and park. There is a variety of parking from free 1 hour parking, to paid 3 hour parking near the town bridge and all day parking at the train station. Parking at St Margaret’s car park or train station are good options. My list of things not to miss would be 1. The 1 mile walk along the canal to Avoncliff which has the lovely Cross Arms pub and the No 10 Tea rooms. It is a great way to take in the slow pace of the canal boats and get away from it all. 2. The Tithe Barn - and there are nearby playgrounds if you have kids with you 3. Woolley Grange for lunch or high tea. 14 acres of gorgeous gardens with a Jacobean manor house and lots of games in the gardens for children to enjoy 4.. We also have the UK's Top Tea House - 'Bridge Tea Rooms' Favourite pubs Top of the Hill - the Castle and the George. The Castle is 100 metres from the cottage. Down town is the newly opened Timbrells Yard which has been opened by the company that runs River Cottage Cafe. Newly opened Pablos Tapas Bar in Lambs Yard has lovely tapas and margaritas.Once you have explored Bradford, Bath is a 10 minute train ride away and Bristol, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge and the South West coast are easily reached as day trips. I also love Avebury, Lacock Stourhead, Great Chalfield Manor and the Courts. All of which are National trust places between 5 minutes and 40 minutes drive from the cottage
  • Staying at Teresa’s cottage was such a treat. It’s located within such a beautiful village. There are thoughtful and luxurious touches throughout the home. These range from really comfortable bedding and linen, to a variety of essential oils and toiletries. The cottage is loaded with beautiful historical beams and windows. We were two families with 2 kids under 4 and there was plenty of space and comfort for us all. We look forward to returning someday!

  • We had a great weekend walking the muddy fields surrounding and we really enjoyed the property - we cooked a roast dinner on Saturday evening and the kitchen was really well set up for proper cooking, which is not always the case in Airbnb properties. The rooms were cosy but very homely and we all slept well - recommend the outhouse room above the garage.

    Rowan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely property in a gorgeous little town. Easy train service and bus into bath. Cute coffee shops in town. However, quite a steep hill to climb back to the cottage. The house is very clean and cosy. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is nice and thick. Very cute xx

Period cottage in beautiful Wiltshire Village
My spare room is a a small but perfectly formed double bedroom with a double bed, linen and chest of drawers. The cottage is a period cottage built in the late 1700's and is grade 2 listed so is oozing with character which yes that means low beams, an inglenook fireplace, wooden floors. It's an old cottage in the country so with that goes a few pet spiders, the odd cobweb and a crack in the paint here and there! There is use of shared bathroom (which is downstairs), kitchen and living room. Included is towels, fresh linen, tea, coffee, WiFi. The cottage is in a simply stunning rural Wiltshire village which is very close to the canal for some superb countryside walks or cycle routes and some great village pubs that you must try. Locally there are market town of Devizes, Melksham, Chippenham. Tourist Attractions nearby: Caen Hill Lock Flight, Lacock Abbey (of Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice Fame) Avebury. Stonehenge is approximately 30 mins away by car. Further afield you can get to Bath, Glastonbury, Salisbury and Wells. There is a bus stop (49) directly outside the cottage which connects with local Towns Trowbridge and Devizes and also main transport hubs Bath & Swindon. If you are wanting to get out and explore the villages it may be more advisable to have a car. Note there is a very limited bus service on Sundays! If I am free I am more than happy to show you around the local area. I love to cook and to eat together so if I am around I will happily share a meal, if not just make full use of the kitchen yourself! I do not include breakfast as I cannot guarantee my working hours /availabilty however you are welcome to help yourself to toast or cereals or whatever I have available if I am around or use the kitchen to prepare your own.

  • We had a short, but great stay at Jennys beautiful house! Next time we would Like to spend more time in this cosy and quirky home, with its little surprises :) we enjoyed Our stay a lot and slept very well! Jenny was very kind and helpful, and Harry the dog was so sweet! Thank you so much for breakfast and the sweet gifts! :)

  • Jennifer was fantastic, great recommendations and a very warm stay. We were very lucky as she shared some of her vegetarian chili that she had spare from feeding the homeless/less fortunate. Lovely human, thank you for a great stay.

    Ryan2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny is very generous at sharing her home. She was so helpful and she and her dog Harry made me and my dog feel very welcome. Thank you!

    Louise2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Jenny and Harry for 5 weeks for a working holiday and really felt welcomed and allowed to feel at home away from home. I especially liked: Jenny's swift and clear communication, her relaxed nature allowed me to do my own thing or hang out in the evenings without judgement, being shown around the area - Seend and Wiltshire alike with great suggestions if venturing out alone and sharing cooking occasionally (Jen is great at roast dinners!). The location was perfect as it had a beautiful view from the bedroom window, was quiet but on the main route to larger towns closeby. The only thing I found slightly bothersome was the scratching of Harry's claws on the floor as he walked past my room when I wanted a lie in (you have to be a dog person!) - other than this I really can't fault my stay - thank you Jenny and Harry!

    Millie2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • What to say? Clean, warm, excellent facilities, comfortable bed and very friendly, lovely dog. I didn't see a great deal of Jennifer due to both of us being out a lot, and didn't need much in terms of local help, but she was helpful and friendly to the extent that we did interact.

Located 10 miles from Bath and 10 mins drive from Bradford on Avon, this converted stables is situated in the village of Hilperton, not far from the market town of Trowbridge. The house is one of three, converted from stables once owned by the farmhouse opposite. The deep window sills and 2ft thick walls gives it a cottage feel that's cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. The property is south facing and has a front garden to enjoy the sunshine in the summer.
It has private parking in the carport to the side of the house for 1 car, plus street parking if necessary. The house has a double bedroom and separate bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Downstairs is a comfortable lounge/dining area and separate kitchen with all the necessary equipment.
Besides the city of Bath and the historic town of Bradford on Avon nearby, there are plenty of walks plus a great little café down the road. There's also a local pub 5 mins walk away called the Lion and Fiddle which specialises in Gurkha style cooking.

  • First heartfelt place we experienced in England! Both Glenys and her husband are wonderful people on all levels and there is much to learm from them. The hospitality they displayed was a warm honest one and it made us feel safe with a human to human interaction that was authentic. The place is alive and colorful and very clean with everything you need in it. And a beautiful garden with lots of tiny wild animals sheltering in there for they feel the hospitality as well. Thank you so much for this experience!

My recently refurbished self contained annexe is both modern and comfortable and situated in a quiet affluent area of Trowbridge just 25 minutes from Bath. Offering a generous space for one or two people, can also accommodate up to four with the two additional sofa beds in the living area. Babies and toddlers are well catered for with a high chair and travel cot which also has a detachable baby changer.
The annexe has one double bedroom including a double bed with memory foam mattress, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and full length mirror. The bathroom is a good family size with shower over the bath. The living room is very spacious with a T.V and built in DVD player and two sofa beds which convert very easily to generous size single beds. The dining area seats 4 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, oven, halogen hob, integrated fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The property also has gas central heating, wifi and driveway parking.
Springfield Park is situated in a quiet residential area of Trowbridge just a 10 minute walk away from the town centre. There is a local corner shop at the end of the road and also a large supermarket within walking distance.
  • A lovely large space. Plenty of room for 4 people. Nicci was a great host, answering all communication quickly and popping in to see that we were ok and if we needed anything after we arrived. She even left a pint of milk in the fridge and some welcome biscuits. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The children were delighted with the large array of games and DVDs and the sofa's converted easily into 2 double beds. There is a lovely little space to sit outside (which we would have if it wasn't raining!). We will be back next time we are in the area.

We didn't go out anywhere nearby so cannot comment on local amenities but the annexe was perfect for an overnight stay. Warm and cosy with lots of DVDs and games. Woke up ready for a full day in Bath which is only about 20 minutes drive from here.

Very quiet room as it does not face a road but instead looks over a park with a very lovely oak tree. Westbury is a convenient location for it's transport links. You can get a direct train to London in 1hr25m, Bristol in 35 mins or Bath in about 25 mins. Westbury train station is about a 5 min drive from the property (20 min walk). The area is safe and quiet and there's an area nearby with a good pizza place, a wine bar and a Tesco Express.
This listing is for 1 room in a 3 bedroom house, however we are also renting the room adjacent to this one so, if you are travelling as a family, you can book both rooms if needed. In the park that's pictured there is a small children's play area which might be useful to know if you're travelling with little ones. There are only 2 of us living in the house. I work from home so I'm in most of the time and my wife works in Bath.
The house is in a residential area, situated right next to a quiet park. Within 6 minutes walking distance is a local shop as well as some local restaurants and a wine bar. A little further out is Aldi and then the town centre is about a 25 minute walk from the house. If you're looking for a scenic walk then it's really nice to go up to the White Horse - it's the famous horse which has been carved into the hillside at Bratton Downs. You can park at the top and walk right up to the horse. There's quite a large area you can walk around up there with great views from all sides.

This meant that they were easy to approach for advice and company. Their home is exceptionally clean, warm and comfy. I can't fault any part of my stay. I would seriously recommend you consider staying with them whenever you visit Westbury.

  • I had a fabulous experience very staying at the studio. It is a great little spot if you want to visit Bath and Bradford-on-Avon. I didn’t get a chance to look around the town, but it seems lovely and it was in good proximity to the train station if you want a quieter area but close enough to get to Bath quickly! Marsha and Dave were absolutely wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make sure my stay was good. This studio felt safe as a solo traveler and they left toast, tea, coffee and yummy marmalade for me. From the soft sheets, to the towel warmer, to the shower head, everything was great! I hope to return.

  • Any review of Laurel House must start with Hayley and Steve. Two lovely people rightly proud of their lovely house and who looked after me so, so well. It did really feel like being a house guest. I had their lovely little single room with a balcony, a bit chilly to try, and the oh so comfortable bed. Bathroom was immaculate with a lovely big bath which after a long journey I took full advantage of. Breakfast was lovely and when I took over the breakfast table to do some paperwork for an hour before departing Steve continuously fed me coffee. If someone wanted to learn how to be the perfect Airbnb host, staying a night at Laurel House would set them on the right path.

We had a great welcome and theres plenty of info inside the barn to give you some ideas on what to do if you havent pre planned! 20 mins drive into Bath and a short drive to local resturants. Its so cosy inside we didnt want to leave! Very handy to have a dvd player too as the tv was a little intermitent thanks to storm dennis! Thanks Val!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables! It is a beautifully presented, extremely cosy and comfortable little home away from home, with lots of thoughtful touches. Thanks to the lovely owners, Katy and Ray, who were so easy to communicate with - quick to reply and super helpful! As we stayed during the Covid-19 lockdown we didn’t get to explore the surrounding areas, but Holt itself is a picturesque little village with lots of nice country walks around. We loved the outdoor space too, a great little sun trap! Great location, lots of parking, a big supermarket 5 mins drive and the local shop across the road for any essentials. It is a lovely, peaceful country getaway, we can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a great week, thank you!

    Nicola2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Stables! Clean, nicely decorated and everything you needed was there. The Lindor chocolates and crumpets were a lovely touch. The location is really close to Bradford on Avon, not much to do in Holt itself but great to travel to Bath or Bradford on Avon. Very comfy bed and great tv catch up apps on both TV’s. We will 100% be returning! Especially when the weather’s nice as we sat outside for most of the time on the lovely garden furniture. Thanks so much.

    Catrin Mai2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The stables was a perfect choice! My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It provided all the little essentials and more with a lovely breakfast hamper included. There was 2 high quality tvs with full catch up tv app/Netflix facility for cosy nights in. Lots of room for parking and a very quiet area even with the neighbours in the other cottages. The surrounding area was perfect for us. We tried Ravello, an Italian in Bradford on Avon as a birthday meal (would 100% recommend) only a 5 min drive so a quick taxi ride if you would like to have a drink, the 2 pubs in the village are also very good for both drinks and lunch. I would also recommend the Refa tandoori restaurant in Melksham, very friendly staff and great food. There really is lots to do in the area and Bath is so close you cannot be bored! If you like both relaxing in quaint little villages but also having the city so close by to pop into - this is definitely a place to consider!

    Bethany2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ray and Katy's AirB&B was delightful, they were both respectable and professional hosts and remained attentive throughout the stay. They provided a breakfast pack and essentials which are perfect for when you arrive and want the arrival cup of tea. The AirB&B is tastefully decorated and the hosts provide a comprehensive guidebook, allowing you to plan and explore the local areas. The bed was comfy and dressed in luxury linens, which provided a great nights sleep, no noise from the road either. The bathroom boasts luxury toiletries and towels, which were perfect after a long day out exploring. The Local area is beautiful and just taking a walk around the picturesque village was calming and relaxing. Being in close proximity to Bath (30 Minute Drive) was beneficial as it made visiting easy.

**BOOK AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN CAMPSITE** We pre-position our VW Camper to one of three Campsites near Bradford On Avon, 5 miles East of Bath - these are our favourite camping sites :- Merkins Farm, Stowford Manor, Orchard Farm. Mr Pink is our stunning VW Split Screen Campervan. He is a very striking van, with a pale sand and cream exterior perfectly matched with a beautiful bespoke interior. He is simply a very classy van.
Mr Pink is a beautiful 1971 Vintage VW Camper Van that can be pre-positioned to site of your choice we recommend either... Merkins Farm (Approx £17 per night for the pitch) http://www.merkinsfarm.com/camping-holiday-cottage/campsite or Stowford Manor www.stowfordmanor.co.uk You will need to make your own arrangements for a pitch at a campsite (you will also need to budget separately for this as a private arrangement with the campsite) preferably with an electric hookup in the winter! Just let us know where you have booked to stay and we will make sure that he is there waiting for you, and we will collect him for you at the end of your stay. A hassle free way to enjoy the authentic full Vintage Camper Van experience, without the authentic breaking down! He has an electric heater and heated blanket to stay cosy on those winter nights! No need to worry about the driving either...
My home town of Bradford on Avon (BoA) has a lovely campsite called Merkins Farm (April to end Oct only) http://www.merkinsfarm.com and does cracking breakfasts, open to 4pm (last orders hot food 3:15pm) , Stowford Manor, or in the Winter months Bath Marina Caravan Park (Great for Bath Christmas market) It's a half hour walk to the many pubs and restaurants of BoA, and from there the train to Bristol is 30 minutes, Bath 15 mins, Cardiff 1 hour and London 2hours. BoA has a 25m indoor swimming Pool, a river, and a canal with canal side walks and beautiful buildings such as the Saxon Church built in the early 11th Century and the Tithe Barn area with it’s several small shops and an excellent coffee shop. Here is some youtube drone footage of BoA, just cut and paste to your browser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLC4X59b4F8 From the Tithe Barn it is possible to take a 30 minute walk along the canal or river (which run side by side) along to the Aqueduct at Avoncliff and stop for a drink at the Cross Guns, with its excellent terraced beer garden that goes right down to the river and overlooks the weir. You can then continue another 20mins through the fields to the village of Freshford and pause at the Inn at Freshford for some refreshment, or check the train timetable and catch the train back to Bradford. Another option is to rent a bicycle from the opposite side of the road to the the nearby Lock Inn which is another excellent canalside place in Bradford for a bite to eat or another coffee! It is possible to cycle along the canal path to Bath in about an hour depending on you fitness, and it is all flat. On the way, there is a gem of a country pub called the Hop Pole in the village of Limpley Stoke half way to Bath, which has a log fire on the colder evenings and not a television in sight, but you do need to come off the canal path by about half a mile to get to Limpley Stoke. It is a beautiful area with so much more to see, and that is just in Bradford’s immediate area...

  • We stayed in Mr Pink for a night and we arranged for it to be sited at Bath Marina. This was a very good choice as we were right beside the river Avon. Whilst Mr Pink was delightful this was made all the better by fantastic Easter weather. The space was spotless and very comfortable. Beverley was very accommodating and gave us lots of advice about the local area. We really enjoyed our stay in Mr Pink and would recommend the experience to others.

  • We booked Mr Pink at quite short notice, to be a feature at our wedding. Beverley was extremely helpful, she transported Mr Pink to our venue and was even kind enough to put flowers and a wedding card in for us. Our wedding guest loved peeking in to the immaculate interior, so a great photo prop and a novel place for a couple of guests to stay the night. Thank you so much Beverley

Beverley and Gary are superb hosts, very responsive and accommodating to what plans you may have with the van. • Nick is a warm and entertaining host with some interesting and unusual stories to tell. The house is spotlessly clean - probably the cleanest place I've stayed. As a business traveller looking for a quiet, clean place to stay, this worked very well for me.

  • It is always a pleasure staying with Nick!

    Oliver2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nick's place was wonderful to say the least. From his timely, upbeat responses to the location of the house itself. It's quite close to the train station too which was helpful. A Super clean, homely and still modern, beautiful place, you can tell he loves hosting people immediately. He made me feel right at home, and even drove me to the train station in the next town, when I missed my train to work! Nick is a real Superhost!

    Safina2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent as always. I won't be visiting this area much in the future and I will miss my recent frequent stays at Nick's, especially the long, fascinating and entertaining breakfast conversations.

    Adrian2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay, Nick is a very thoughtful host, nothing is too much trouble for him. Room very comfy, definately recommend anyone in the area wanting somewhere to stay look him up.

You are very welcome in my Victorian (1889) property in a quiet cul de sac near the town centre, which I share with my lovely dog Benny. On the first floor I have large bright room (16m2) waiting for you to relax in. The room has a super kingsize very comfortable big bed, a desk and wardrobe for you to use. The room has fast internet WiFi with a TV (Sky) available in your room too.
There is a shared bathroom downstairs with a large bath and a separate shower. Towels and toiletries will be there for you to use if you need it. You are free to use the espresso machine, kitchen, hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Newtown in Trowbridge is an old quiet neighbourhood with many old terraced houses. Easy 5 min walk into town where you will find all the larger supermarkets you might want and lots of small shops and restaurants and a cinema. There is a small corner shop in my street, with really nice people running it, only a stone's throw away from my house, that has bread, milk and many other groceries, newspapers and some wine. The beautiful city of Bath is very close by and easy to reach by train (parking in Bath is hard and expensive) . I love Bath, feels like you are walking in a filmset. Beautiful old houses, the Roman Baths, the Crescent, the Circus too many beautiful places to go and explore. Bath has a lively town centre with many many shops, buskers, great restaurants, theatres, bars and a great Spa with a range of mineral-rich baths and spa treatments.
  • Nice host, chill and relax atmosphere. Recommended

    Gabriel2019-12-18T00:00:00Z

  • lovely helpful host and great location to travel

    Linda2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • I received a very friendly welcome from both Paul and his gorgeous dog Benny! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and everything was lovely. The room is spacious and stylish, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen clean and modern. The bathroom is downstairs behind the kitchen, as mentioned in other reviews, but this was no problem. The house is very convenient and within easy walking distance of the station and town of Trowbridge. I had everything I needed and a very pleasant stay. Thank you :)

    Di2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • just wrapped up the final stay of the year at paul's and, as always, it was a great experience and a perfect place to stay in trowbridge. easy walk to town and train, couple of parks nearby to explore and a great tow path from trowbridge to bath spa with wonderful places to stop on the way - bradford on avon avoncliff for example. will definitely stay there next time i'm in the area!

    Michael2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely place to stay! Well situated as well: a short walk to the Trowbridge train station, from which you can explore Bath, Bradford on Avon, and other wonderful places. We also visited Avebury and Stonehenge, which was a relatively easy two hour journey by public transport. Paul is a great host, happy to chat with you in the garden or over a glass of wine while Benny the puppy demands pets. The room was very comfortable with it's high ceilings and stylish accessories. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and highly recommend it to anyone.

Hi, This is our first full year renting out this lovely quiet and well equipped home. We decided to keep the price low, as we would rather have lots of lovely guests, than have our beautiful home empty. We have tried to think of your every need and if we have missed anything, please let us know, we welcome your input. My sister took particular time and effort decorating the house and laying every brick herself until it was to her satisfaction. My niece Kim keeps it clean and welcoming!
The decor is light and airy. Every room has been recently updated with new paint, carpet and beds. The Kitchen is light and bright and a true pleasure to cook in or to just sit at the dining table and chat. The living room, bedrooms and bathroom can all be easily accessed by a wheel chair or walker. All the beds are new and have duvets.
This is on a quiet well-established small housing estate. Situated on a corner with a beautifully landscaped garden. The Patio is quiet and secluded with a fire pit, barbecue, seating and umbrella. The back gate has been modified so that pets cannot get out.
  • Fantastic well equipped bungalow, would highly recommend, thanks again.

    Simon2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great Value

    Alan2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent two bedroom with plenty of room for 6 people. The hosts are friendly and responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and having a washer AND a dryer on site was very helpful. While the exterior makes the place look dated, the interior has been very well redone. The whole place was very clean and comfortable as well. The host goes out of their way to make sure the place has all the little touches you need. The location is also ideal as you are within super easy walking distance of Aldi supermarket and several other stores and restaurants. Overall, we had an excellent stay that exceeded our expectations.

    Michael2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home from home. Great amenities and thoughtful extra touches. Great wifi, lots of board games and DVDs in the house. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Laura2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, our staff were very impressed with the place and would happily stay again.

    Amy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space - really thoughtful touches. Great communication

    Harriet2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay with everything you could possibly need provided by the host in such a clean and well organised space. There's loads to do in the area but plan some relaxation time too, as this house is so much more than just a place to sleep and it's such good value. We're already planning an opportunity to return!

    Debi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly how described lovely peaceful close and Kim obviously cares for her clients that stay in the bungalow even to the point that even the bedrooms have sky sports

We are open again, for 2019. This is a Single room with the most comfortable of beds! It has a private bathroom adjacent. If the room is hired along with the small double then the two bedrooms share the bathroom. The price for the single will be reduced from £45 to £40. There is a third Double bedroom-ensuite that is listed separately. A full choice menu is offered for breakfasts and tea and coffee are available in the room.
This room is in part of our family home. We welcome guests to enjoy their own space and the dining/ conservatory.
Our home is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in a beautiful village in Wiltshire. There are many tourist attractions within easy reach and the city of Bath is just 10 miles away. We are also near several National Trust properties. There are 2 good eating houses that accommodate for a variety of tastes.
  • Very welcoming and a great comfy bed and facilities

    Jonathan2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a comfortable traditional bed and breakfast with a warm welcome, this is the place for you. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast tasty. It was good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom. I enjoyed my stay.

    Baerbel2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • If you ever close to Bath and looking for a place to stay for the night, this is probably the best place you can go. Amazing hosts, very private room, modern bathroom, and terrific coffee and breakfast to wake you up.

    Dawid2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place to stay and I stay in a lot of places

    Mark2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a very comfortable night at Meg and Andy's palce. The room is bright, big and cozy and has everything you need. For breakfast, I could chose from a variety of options and it was freshly made and delicious. The house is not ideal if you are travelling by public transport, but Meg and Andy are very friendly and might even give you a lift to the station. I can very much recommend them!

    Fabienne2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts, quiet location. You will sleep soundly. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice. The two village pubs (both good!) are more of a drive than a walk, but otherwise perfect.

    Steve2018-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Meg's place. This is not just an Air B & B but a proper B & B in the truest sense of the word! Delicious breakfast, very comfy and clean rooms, beautifully decorated bathroom, and two hosts that went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome. They even drove us to the nearby festival we were attending - twice! And messaged to let us know we'd forgotten something, offering to post it. Highly, highly recommend this place. thank you again Meg.x

At Beeches Farmhouse there are three, two bedroomed self catering cottages. Pig Wig is a detached, single storey cosy cottage with oak beams and a log burner. It normally sleeps 4 but an additional bed can be added. It is not dog friendly but our other two cottages are.
Pig Wig Cottage is a cosy detached, single storey cottage. In the two bedrooms the cottage sleeps up to 4 or 5 with an additional bed. Each room can be a double or two single beds. The lounge has oak beams and a log burner. Although this cottage is not dog friendly we have Cow Byre 1 or 2 which are.
We are situated on one of the roads from Bradford on Avon which is one mile away and surrounded by fields. In warmer weather you can walk across one of the fields and into town.
  • It is a perfect place for a weekend getaway; cosy, clean, very pretty in a beautiful environment. Hosts are very kind and the check-in was very smooth as well even though we arrived very late! Much recommended!

  • Stayed in bad weather as a single person to read and get some work done. It was lovely and toasty, sofa is so comfortable and I loved the little lights. The bedroom also a very zen space. The village was definitely very empty/rural but pretty, and there's a shop right over the road for essentials. Thank you Jo!
