  • Bang Bang Bang Bang ~ I started looking for accommodation very early. From Aibo to Sky Island, I wanted to pass the viaduct in Harry Potter. I chose this place. The location is excellent, not far from Sky Island. There are also basic commercial and super restaurant facilities, so it is not very necessary to worry. The landlord will send directions in advance, and the response after check-in is also very timely and very satisfied! The house is even better. Our six-member squad is more than enough to live in. There are also basic sauces for cooking. There were some inconveniences in the bath but they were resolved in time. Very good! Really nice a house to stay, especially when it got bad weather. This house is a perfect accomodation for the people who would like to drive around Skye. And it got the amenities around, which maked it more convienient for us to make food or dine out. Also, Fiona replied really fast so the problems were all solved in time. It has earned my high recommendation in the surrounding areas now. I will definitely choose it if we come again in summer.

    2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A really nice cottage right by the shore. Lots of thoughtful touches and very well equipped. Be careful in the winter as many restaurants are closed or have very strange opening hours.

  • Wonderful location and great amenities.

    Michael2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location right on the shoreline this lovely house is fully equipped with all the equipment and facilities you will require to fully enjoy your stay on Skye. Co-Op Supermarket less than 5mins down the road by car, and a couple of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. I would highly recommend Fiona’s house for anyone planning a visit to Skye as she seems to have thought of everything to ensure her guests have a stress free holiday on the island.

    Francis2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Fiona’s very much. The house is spacious yet cozy and well equipped. Great location for exploring Skye.

This cosy little Chalet is surrounded by the famous Red Cuillins and the dramatic ridge of Blaven. Its secluded situation, way out of the tourist paths, makes it an ideal location for a few quiet days, well away from the stress of modern life.
The Chalet is located in the little hamlet of Kilbride, close to Broadford, on the Isle of Skye. It is situated on the premises of Ashbank, 3 Kilbride, IV49 9BB. It is a very well insulated wooden log lodge with double glazed windows and doors and a decked outside porch. The Chalet is a cosy accommodation for two people, coming with a combined kitchen, lounge and dining area, a bed room with a king sized bed and a shower room, featuring a shower, a wash hand basin and a WC. The lounge features a TV and Blue-ray/DVD-player. WiFi is accessible, but can be patchy or slow at times; remember that you are in a very rural area. (Beware: no cell/mobile phone reception in the whole area - which applies for most of the Highlands and Islands.) The sofa can be extended to a bed, but the layout of the chalet is actually designed for two people. Infants and children are accepted, but any additional adult will be subject to negotiation and surcharge. The kitchen is fully equipped, including an electric hob and oven, a microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine/dryer. Sheets, pillowcases. towels, and tea-towels are provided. Also essentials like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, oil, salt and pepper are available. Electricity is also included in the cost. A barbecue and the necessary utensils can be provided. A welcome basket with Scottish specialities and local free range eggs (if available) will be awaiting you :-) Minimum stay is usually 3 nights, but alternatives and shorter stays can be negotiated.
The village of Kilbride (Bridget's cell, church or chapel) is located about 5 miles from the little town of Broadford, where a supermarket with petrol station, a post office, a bank, a pharmacy, and various other shops can be found. Broadford also offers a number of restaurants for all kinds of budgets. It is an excellent base to explore the spectacular sights of Skye, to go hiking, fishing, wild life watching, kayaking, or do a boat-trip. Sheep, cows, wild rabbits are just across the fence. It is a short walk (ca. 10 min.) or drive to the sea where there is a lovely bay (Camus Malag) with stunning views of the Small Isles and the Cuillins. From this bay there is a well known circular walk of about 11 miles which passes through two villages which were abandoned during the Highland Clearances, now in ruins. There is abundant wildlife, including golden and sea eagles and otters. Kilbride is situated in the old district of Strath, which is steeped in pre-history and geology. There are plenty of archaeological sites and we can provide guided tours on request. If you are interested in one of these, please let us know in advance, because, depending on the weather, we might have to produce special gear. One of Scotlands foremost archaeological sites, High Pasture Cave, is just a 15 minute walk away. Close to the chalet one can also find a pre-Christian standing stone, known as Clach na h-Annait ("stone of the chief or church"). The stone is believed to have been part of a Neolithic stone circle. Nearby there is a well the waters of which are said to have the power to heal the sick.
  • A spotless and comfortable space in a beautiful, rugged landscape! Thanks George for your hospitality and for providing such useful resources for enjoying Skye.

  • Great location if you are after a few quiet days on Skye away from it all. We particularly enjoyed the night sky as it's so full of stars without any light pollution nearby. And it's still just a short drive to amenities. Very much enjoyed the welcome basket with Hogmanay treats.

    Iris2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great and very warm welcome stay at Ashbank with George's help wherever needed. It is very cosy and sweet and got everything you need. We had a wonderful time. On the 3rd Day we got engaged on Skye near Elgol with a stunning view over the Cuillins! In the evening, asking George for a tip for dinner, he made a reservation for us in the fabulous Duisdale Hotel Restaurant. That was the absolutely perfect Engagement Dinner and would have never been on our own. Thank you so much from our Hearts, Mel and Pawel

  • We had an amazing time here! So peacefully tranquil with beautiful sights and sounds. We could have easily enjoyed staying much longer as the place was so homely. Great tips and resources from the host and lots of thoughtful touches. We loved our stay at the little black cottage on the hill!

    Jess2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet was an excellent base for our little holiday to the Isle of Skye. It really is home from home in its facilities and comfort and is located in a peaceful part of the Isle, surrounded by the beautiful Cuillin Hills. Kilbride is quiet enough to feel like a wild, remote getaway but is also very accessible, only 10-15 minutes by car from Broadford where you will find a very well-stocked Co-op, fuel, pizza, souvenir shops, and the main road to other parts of the Isle.

    Rachel2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay on an amazing Island. Highly recommend

    Dan2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful spot, and such kind hosts! The cottage is lovely, like a home away from home...and the location is absolutely beautiful! You can start the Highland Clearances trail (Boreraig and Suisinish) right from the front gate! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore Skye with a cozy spot to come back "home" to!

Your own piece of tranquility in our Little Skye Bothy, with outstanding views to the loch and the mountains. The pod has kitchen facilities, 2 ring hob and microwave (no oven). Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. There is a shower room, an ottoman double bed and a sofa bed for an extra guest. There is an oil filled heater, table and chairs, TV for watching DVD's (there is no signal for local or national channels) and wifi is available
This pod is situated to make the most of the beautiful views and for privacy. You can lie in bed while enjoying the view or sit on the decking enjoying the scenery and wildlife
Heaste is a little hidden gem situated on the shores of Loch Eishort, 5 miles along a single track road from Broadford. There are several working crofts and creel fishing boats working from the loch. Heaste continues many of the older traditions of Skye such as peat cutting. There is a sea eagle nesting in the trees across the loch. There are walks to Boreraig (a highland clearance village). There are stunning views over to the Sleat peninsula and knoydart.
  • My boyfriend and I had a amazing stay here. The pod exceeded expectations and the host was lovely. Set in a quaint village called Heaste, the pod sits on the top of a hill boasting picturesque views over the loch. The location feels like you are miles from civilisation in your own peaceful bubble. This pod is in easy reach of all of Isle of Skye’s tourist spots 40 minutes from the Fairy Pools, 45 minutes The Storr and one hour from the Neist Point Lighthouse. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb for a romantic weekend away nestled in the countryside.

  • Nicky was outstanding and so was her bothy. She was more than accommodating gave us recommendations where to eat every night and even turned the heater on before our arrival. The bothy itself was perfection and the best stay we had our entire trip.

  • Wonderful bothy with lots of sweet little touches. It felt immediately like home. Incredible views to wake up and have breakfast to. Thanks Nicky!

  • The Skye Bothy was amazing. It had all the amenities you could want, was lovely and warm, even in February with amazing views. Kirsty was wonderful and extremely helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay, Bec and Josh x

    India2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The little bothy is a lovely, unique place to stay. It's beautiful and Nicky's hospitality was the best part - she was always reachable via text for any questions (and she was nice enough to welcome us with a bottle of Prosecco and call restaurants both evenings we were there so we knew where we could go and eat - both places were SO yummy as well). Visiting in February was not the best month (we had Storm Dennis raging around us and the weather was mostly terrible), but we were snug in the bothy, even if the heating was a little weird to regulate (even though Nicky clearly showed us how to use it, we kept over/under heating the place - our fault though!). Visiting when it's mostly good weather would definitely be divine - the long-ish drive from the main road in Broadford to the bothy was a little scary at times when there was heavy fog, but all OK if you drive slowly and carefully. It's amazing how thoughtfully Nicky has laid out the place - it's tiny, but has so many amenities and even some little games (which we took advantage of) and a kitchen. Highly recommended.

Live like a local for a while on our beautiful island.
Privately situated right on the seashore in a peaceful crofting township, Fossil Cottage is a cosy, quirky home from home. You couldn’t be closer to nature here. Fossil Cottage has one double bedroom, a living-room with outstanding views of the sea right outside and spectacular sunsets. Heated by an environmentally-friendly heat pump, backed up by a stove for colder nights, this cottage is full of character, furnished and looked after with love and care by its local owners. The works of local artists hang on the walls and many fascinating old items add to the sense of history. The old stone walls have fossils in them. The cottage is about two miles from the village of Broadford, which has several restaurants, pubs and a supermarket, as well as art galleries, a pottery, other craft shops and lots more. Covid-19 Coronavirus: For the time being, to protect our very fragile health service and the many older and vulnerable residents of this small island, I am not taking any new bookings for May/June, when I will review again. Who knows what lies ahead for all of us, but please save my wee Bothy to your favourites and when the time is right, come and visit us. In the meantime, stay safe, stay home, wash your hands and use the time to plan your future trip to Skye. Thank you.
The Strawbale Bothy is made from simple, natural materials; wood, clay, straw and lime, there are no nasty chemicals, no concrete, and where we have had to use plastic, it is to an absolute minimum. A perfect place for two to slow down and watch the view. We’re sure you will love the feel of staying in a natural home, the softness of the clay plaster walls, the luminous light of the lime washed shower room and the warmth of local larch wood. There is a light and airy living area with an electric stove, Bluetooth speaker, books and games to keep you entertained if you get bored of the stunning views over to the hills of Knoydart. There is a small kitchen area with induction hob, combination microwave oven, washer dryer and all the other things you would expect to find. There is a cosy box bed, dressed with a duck down duvet, soft, relaxed French linen and Egyptian cotton. From your bed you can stare at the stars at night or watch the sunrise in the morning. You also have a spacious en suite shower room with traditional flush toilet. The Strawbale Bothy is exactly what it says, it is a loadbearing strawbale building built on foundations made from car tyres filled with rammed gravel. We’ve tried to make sure this wee building has as low an impact on the planet as possible. We have not used any concrete in its construction, practically everything can be recycled or biodegradable, we've only used plastic where there has been no alternatives or the alternatives are a bit, well - yeuch! Try plastic free showering with handmade soap and solid shampoo by local Scottish artisans. Feel doubly virtuous by washing up and only using natural bristle brushes and cotton dish cloths. Booking and Availability: Covid-19 Coronavirus: It is a worrying, uncertain time so if you are thinking of booking, here are a few points to help you decide: I have made some changes to the Bothy. My place is frequently rated as 'sparkling clean', but I have introduced some additional, non environmentally friendly measures, just to make sure. This includes cleaning with bleach based disinfectants and single use paper cloths. Replacing artisan locally made solid soap with liquid soap in single use plastic bottles (when I can get them). Replacing vintage and handmade crockery and cutlery with dishwasher proof items - all crockery and cutlery goes through a hot wash in a dishwasher between guests. Washing bedlinen and towels at a higher temperature with biological powder. Lining bins with single use plastic liners. My cancellation policy will remain as 'Strict'. However, please check Airbnb's Extenuation Circumstances Policy. This tells you when you can get a full refund if your trip is affected by the Coronavirus. I really believe this to be fair. If you contract the virus, or have to self isolate, or your flights have been cancelled, or the Government has imposed restrictions, or your doctor has advised you not to travel, then you can claim a full refund under the Policy (correct at the time of writing 14 March). Alternatively, if you do book and then decide you would prefer not travel at that time, rather than cancel your trip and possibly lose your money, you could consider changing your dates until later in the year, just request a 'change of dates' and subject to availability, I'd be happy to organise it. If however, you wish to cancel because, for example, the weather is not looking good, then the usual cancellation policy will apply. So, if you are curious about what it would be like to stay in a home made without concrete, bricks and plastic, and stay on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, we would love to meet you.
  • Super stay at the straw bale Bothy! It’s warm and cosy, has great views of mountains and the sea, and is so peaceful! It’s a good base for sightseeing on the Island, which is stunning! Our stay coincided with beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown but Nicola was so kind and reassuring, she has taken every step to make sure the Bothy is super clean and safe, we wish we could have stayed up here in the fresh air rather then go back to the city!

  • Nicola’s bothy was an amazing place to stay for our visit to Skye. Really comfy and unique place in a great location. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone visiting Skye!

  • I loved this Bothy. I had such an incredible time here. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, but also to use as a base for exploring Skye, even in winter! The bothy itself had all the things I needed, with little thoughtful and personal touches from Nicola that made it all the more special and relaxing. It is in a great location. Waking up every morning and watching the sunrise over the mountains from the bedroom window, to stargazing outside on a clear evening. It is a beautiful place. Nicola was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, which just made my time at the bothy special and seamless. Her vegan chocolate brownies were also to die for! I will definitely be returning to this bothy!

  • a magical place in a small corner of the island, I highly recommend clean and comfortable, well decorated

  • Nicola’s place is lovely, full of thoughtful touches and amazingly clean. It’s a beautiful place to stay if you want a lovely chilled week end away. It’s a very comfortable and cosy place.. you will feel at home straight away. Nicola’s place is located in a lovely spot close to the beach and local amenities. Nicola is a lovely host and was always available if we needed anything. She welcomed us with incredibly tasty cakes and gave us a lot information regarding places to visit. We absolutely loved everything about our stay and would definitely go back again. Thank you Nicola !

  • The Strawbale Bothy is a real authentique detailed and handmade home for all kind of travellers. It's made for two people and if they are not related it could be interesting in the cosy bed. I like the fact, that there is no TV in the bothy and that you recognize the owner in every detail of the bothy. Nicola welcomed us very warm and kindly. We got a very nice talk and she gave us nice tips for our short trip through the Isle. Well, I could write a whole more of the bothy, but at least just this: Go there and fall in love like we did! Thank you Nicola, we will definetly come back again.

    Phil2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place is absolutely amazing with a stunning view over the sea! We could even sit outside and watch the stairs in the night. Super cosy and well-decorated place with plenty of space for two people, we didn't need anything, everything was just perfect and Nicole was such a lovely host.

    Line2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy bothy, a work of art! Everything was in great working order and it was lovely and clean. Nicola made everything beautiful and welcoming. Her flapjacks are 10/10!

For dramatic sunrises over the sound of Sleat to the Scottish mainland right from your living room. The standard of accommodation is exceptional and the privacy of the location to be commented upon. The vaulted ceiling is a real pleasure, so when you wake from the upstairs bedroom you can walk out onto the mezzanine viewing area looking through the full height windows of the gable end of the house. Get cosy in front of the log fire in the downstairs living room, with sheep skin rugs and relax with your complimentary bottle of wine. Walk out into the garden and take in the air watching the wildlife and feeling a part of your surroundings. The View's electrical power is from a ground source heat pump, and has a series of solar panels that feed back to the grid so you know this was built with the environmental friendliness in mind. PLEASE NOTE: We don't accept children under 12 as the long garden to the View ends with a cliff to the sea. Caution is advised and warning signs are in place.
  • An amazing place to stay!

Stay on the Bay is a lovely new cabin right on the edge of Broadford bay on the Isle of Skye. Our cabin is the perfect space, for two, to relax and enjoy simply stunning sea and mountain views. As well as being within walking distance of local restaurants and bars, the cabin is also very central for exploring all corners of our beautiful island.
Our cabin has an open plan living / dining space with a fully equipped kitchen. Patio Doors open out, from the living and bedroom areas, to the sea where you have a decked area to sit and enjoy taking in the views (and if you are very lucky the local otter). We have a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite shower room. Lie in bed and watch the boats leaving from the local pier and listen to the sound of the waves. The bedroom also has patio doors and a decked area.
We enjoy a gorgeous location down by the sea right in the heart of Broadford so once you have finished your sight seeing for the day you can park the car and walk to the local restaurants and shops.
  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spent a lovely 4 nights here. The cabin is cleverly designed, stylish and has everything you would need. There were lots of nice, thoughtful touches throughout and a sheet with lots of helpful local information from the hosts. The views and location are lovely too.

  • Phenomenal! Thank you Norma.

    Luke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it from start to finish . The cabin was spotless , very modern and had amazing views. Broadford for us was an ideal location with everything not far away . We will definitely be back to Norma’s cabin as it truly lived up to all expectations. Fantastic host 👍 Five stars from ourselves ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟

  • Such a lovely and wonderful place to stay. Norma and Fin are amazing hosts and super helpful. The apartment is well decorated and clean. The mattress was very comfortable which is a huge plus! We were here during a crazy rain and wind storm and their place made us feel warm and cozy! I would highly recommend.

    Shannon2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay in the perfect part of Skye to attack the island. Norma had some great tips and was always there for ideas no matter the conditions. Will be back and recommending to friends.

    Jonathon2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Norma and Finlay's Stay on the Bay was utter perfection. From the quick and easy communication, to the beautifully decorated space and amazing views, to the lovely little touches such as eggs, bread, milk, and even whisky to start our stay with, and even their own Netflix Stay on the Bay account set-up on their TV for us to use while we were there. The place is even more beautiful in person, the pictures don't do it justice. We only wish we could have stayed a lot longer....or just moved in! We'll definitely be back.

    Rachelle2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Stay on the Bay in Broadford was a delight to stay at. Norma was so hospitable and friendly. The accomodation really did make the trip to Skye the most memorable and indulging part of our trip and we will never forget it. Would love to stay here when we come back to Skye in the not so distant future. I would really recommend people to stay here when coming to Skye, the decor and personalised touches made to the the house to make you feel comfortable and at home goes above and beyond. The views are to die for and the easy check in experience made our stay at Stay on the Bay that much easier. Thank you Norma will be back very soon ! ❤

    Bella2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Norma is an incredibly kind host, everything is thought so that we do not miss anything. We have rarely been so well received! The accommodation is very tastefully decorated and enjoys a sea view. We recommend this place to stay, the Isle of Skye is beautiful!

This is a static caravan/cabin with cosy wooden interior and wood burning stove. It has lovely views out of every window of the hills and Loch Eishort. We are 5 miles from the nearest township Broadford. This accommodation is ideally suited to up to 3 adults or a family group with up to 3 children as the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are small caravan rooms.
The living space/ kitchen diner is open plan with 3 small bedrooms. It has one toilet and separate shower room. The kitchen contains normal appliances including a fridge, microwave and electric oven.
Heaste is a rural crafting village of around 20 houses, which is situated down a single track 5 miles from Broadford. It benefits from peace and quiet with very little traffic.
  • Catriona was a wonderful host. She met us upon our arrival and showed us around and offered her help if needed further. Her location is right by the bay which offered a beautiful view. Everything was clean and comfortable. She offered a nice variety of snacks and breakfast - the location is about 3 miles down a country road so it was nice not to have to worry about getting breakfast elsewhere. The only issue we had was the internet was spotty but we just reset it every so often. And since she's down a country road, on clear nights you'll get a beautiful blanket of stars. :) Would stay again!

    Kate2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here, it was a great location and stunning view. It felt quiet remote and very quiet which was nice as some parts of Skye were fairly busy. The caravan was really cosy once we got the fire going. Thank you!

  • Amazing place to stay ..

    Shalabh2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Catriona is an excellent host and her place is amazing. Staying there was one of the best parts of our trip to the Isle of Sky and its surroundings. The caravan is very cozy and its location is unique. Having the sheep as neighbors was a nice surprise! We will definitely try to stay there again whenever we can return.

    Pablo2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy caravan. For US travelers, it will feel a bit like staying in an oversized RV, especially when it comes to bathroom spaces. Very comfortable living room and kitchen space with good room for stretching out. Good jumping off point for Isle of Skye or Eilean Donan castle.

    Paul2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Catriona’s Caravan is beautifully located on the shore and offers not only incredible views (if it stops raining for a second) but a very amiable hostess. Great breakfast choices, good coffee and other provisions! tiny shower/bathroom but very spacious living room with awesome panorama views. It’s a bit out of the way but very peaceful. I can recommend without reservation and would book it again!

  • Fantastic romantic bolt hole for two in an idyllic location on Syke. We came for three nights on our baby moon and had the most relaxing wonderful time. The house is even better than the lovely pictures and is perfectly set up. The bath tub is divine. Check in was easy and Janet was very helpful and quick to reply to messages. We had a delightful (albeit somewhat expensive!) evening at Kinloch Lodge which was nearby - would highly recommend. Looking for an opportunity to return and have already recommended to friends!

We didn’t have a car but Janet and Robert took time driving us to the supermarket and brought us on a trip to Portree. The view outside tidal cottage is 100/100. Serene, lovely, beautiful and the color is ever changing during the day. We absolutely love hearing the birds sing.

  • Debbie's byre is amazing! I almost want to write a bad review to discourage other poeple from going, so that it's more likely to be available next time I want to stay!!! The photos really do it no justice, it's an incredible wee place and exactly what we were hoping for, for our weekend on Skye. Gorgeous wee converted byre, view straight out onto the beach and a real gem of a place. The bathroom will make you say wow when you walk in! Debbie is a lovely host with great communication and helpful advice for your stay on Skye. Can't wait to go back!!

    Ailidh2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location right on the beach! A cozy open floor plan with gigantic bathroom, heated floors and a sauna. It was easy to access the rest of the island. We really enjoyed our visit!

    Patty2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • A superb gem in a lovely location. Full of magic and comparatively well priced for the area. Converted byre that has full amenities (and more) and has excellent heating and internet facilities. Although only there for 1 night, we will be trying to get over another time in the future.

    Callum2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Debbie's. The location was perfect. Being on the shore is lovely as the views are simply stunning and a joy to wake up to every morning. The local Michelin star restaurant is ace but so too is the local Indian restaurant. The near by CoOp is great for all your essentials. The photos don't do the whirlpool bath justice....it's massive and fits 2 people easily and wonderful to use after a long day walking! The sauna is great too. The place heated quickly thanks to the under floor heating. There is only a microwave and toaster in terms cooking facilities but that did not prevent us from having a top stay. Debbie is friendly and helpful but respects your privacy which we really appreciated as we just wanted to switch off from life and explore the island. Thanks and we'd love to visit again!

    Justine2020-01-02T00:00:00Z

The pod is very comfortable, Bed has a good memory foam mattress. Fast wifi speed. It has a 32 inch smart TV The kitchen has a 2 ring hob and there is a small oven, kettle and coffee machine. The pod also has its own wet room. The hot tub is for the use of the pod guests.

  • This is a fantastic little space for a wee break away on the Isle of Skye. It is perfectly situated in Broadford to be close to everything. The pod is very clean, homely and really comfortable. The hot tub is great, although I'd reccomend cracking a door open as it can get steamy in there, but it's not a problem because the door opens out to the wonderful view of the hills in the distance. The prosecco was a lovely little touch in the fridge upon arrival. I would highly reccomend.

Ord is a fantastic little hamlet on Skye. The views towards the Cuillins are superb! The shoreline is just a few meters away, perfect for enjoying the views!
  • McKinnon was an absolutely beautiful stay! We arrived at the dead of night and was so surprised at the beautiful views surrounding. The house itself was spotless and had everything you needed for a stress free stay, even down to the monocular for catching the sea eagles! The house was warm and so comfortable and the book collection was awesome.

  • Peaceful and beautiful location, stylish comfortable cottage. Well equipped.

  • Fantastic place to stay. The cottage is quaint everything is in order and de decor is nicely done. It rained a lot during our stay so we were inside the cottage more than anticipated and we were comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped. If you buy your coffee have it grind coarse since there are 2 French press. You are right on the water (there is a cottage in front but it is not in your sight.) The cottage is quite far from the main road witch is a plus for quietness, i mean the sheep graze in the yard what more could you want! It was great. But if you want to go north of the island you are a bit far... All in all we thoroughly enjoyed are stay.

  • The location is ideal, quiet and beautiful, almost over a lake. We were also very satisfied with the house. It had everything we could need to cook, books and maps on the area, a washing machine, two bathrooms. We were delighted. Everything was clean and in order. The hosts have also been available and very nice. Very satisfying experience.

Our retreat has sea views of Loch Eishort with lots of natural light. It has off-road parking in a gated garden. There are two bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite toilet and there is a separate shower room with a second toilet opposite the second bedroom. The accommodation is in a crofting village on a road with little traffic, only 5 miles from restaurants and a 24 hour petrol station. It has a microwave and fridge freezer, with bed linen and towels provided. We provide tea and coffee.
The price for two guests is based on the use of the double bed. If the twin room is required, please inform us at the time of booking. During the busy season we open bookings up to five guests, with use of a sofa bed in the living area and bedding provided. This is chargeable as for extra guests, so please book for five guests if you wish to use the sofa bed and we will provide the bedding. We cannot accommodate unbooked guests, or allow use of the sofa bed without bedding provided. Heaste Retreat has the bonus of sea views, which can be enjoyed from the living room or garden or on walks from the gated entrance down to the shore and the area gives a feeling of space, perfect for relaxing in. Many guests have enjoyed the peaceful surroundings after a busy day of exploring Skye, or in anticipation of exploring Skye the following day! Being at the bottom of the village, it has very little through traffic and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. There are sea eagles and golden eagles that nest nearby and can sometimes be seen soaring overhead. The open plan living room has triple aspect windows with views down to the sea 250 yards away. There is plenty of seating on the comfortable sofas, where you can relax with a book, or gaze at the wonderfully scenic mountains. There is a TV and a DVD player (with various DVD titles to watch) and also an iPhone Speakerdock. Some guests find that it is so relaxing that they want to come simply for a retreat and many wish they had stayed a day or two more. If you have any other questions about the area, please ask. We are 4.5 miles from the village of Broadford, where there are shops, a pharmacy, a hospital with A&E department, a post office, eating places, including restaurants and take-away shops and buses that can take you to different parts of the island. We would be able to offer discounts on bookings for five nights or more, so please just ask if you would like to request this and we will reply with a special offer for you. The double bedroom is well furnished with its own ensuite toilet and basin. There is a separate shower room and toilet opposite the second bedroom. The second bedroom is a compact twin room with two 2'3" x 6' single beds, both with good mattresses and furnished suitably for small adults or children, with a bedside light. Heaste retreat does not have a phone-line. There is community satellite wifi available. It can also be used for wifi calling if your phone supports that. The kitchen is fully functional with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, dinner set, crockery, mugs, glasses, wine glasses, utensils, pots, pans and quality bake and cookware, slow cooker, kitchen scales, an electric hand whisk, egg cups, oven gloves, tea towels, washing up liquid, dish brushes and a drying rack. There is a gas oven with grill and hob. Heaste Retreat is approximately 10 minutes drive from the main road through Skye. Please be aware that the retreat is in a crofting village and we do not allow pets in the accommodation.
Heaste is a peaceful, friendly and relaxing place to be.

  • If you're looking for a place "off the beaten path" this place is for you! The road out to the trailer is an adventure, but we had a blast!! Fiona was great and answered quickly to any questions. It's small, but quaint. We would recommend!

  • Great place to stay on Isle of Skye!

    Amitkumar2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, bigger than I expected from the pictures. James & Fiona contacted us in advance to make sure the house would be ready as per our needs, which it was. The instructions were clear and we found the house very well equipped, including the Wi-Fi which was a godsend. Small little touches like bath towels on top of the bed along with a chocolate bar really made this stand out, and even though we came prepared, we found ourselves not needing a lot of the stuff we brought such as a hair dryer or even coffee. Location wise, we made use of the fact that the property isn't bang on in the middle of Skye and instead planned around that and used it to our advantage. We stayed over for 2 nights and ended up visiting all the places we wanted to visit by covering each half of the island in each day. If you're considering it, you won't regret it.

    Gonçalo2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great, comfy and cozy place to stay. Placed about 5 km away from the main road, in a small village by the sea. The whole house was clean and the hosts where happy to help at any time. The house is fully equipped, ideal to find yourself in a perfect combination of the home conforts and the skylander lands.

    Juan Javier2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time. The frames are beautiful, just steps from a creek. To access a beautiful landscape, just 15 minutes from the main road. All the necessary was present. We will come back with pleasure.

    Romain2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place in the wilds of the Isle of Skye ! We are a party of 5 travelling around the UK and Ireland and we felt very much at home in this snug little abode as soon as we entered the front door. The thoughtful touches throughout the cabin made our stay all the more enjoyable and of course the fantastic view from the picture window gave us endless enjoyment. We highly recommend Fiona and James' place.

Isle of Skye, Scotland, United Kingdom

A truly one of a kind private holiday cottage located on the breathtakingly beautiful and mystical Isle of Skye. Dark Skye Cottage offers the perfect romantic getaway for two who want to escape the buzz of everyday life for a holiday on one of Scotland’s most sought after Islands. It offers the perfect balance of seclusion while still only a short walk from one of Skye’s most desirable villages.
Highlights • Modern insulation and underfloor heating make it such a cosy place to relax • Fully equipped modern kitchen • Generous hospitality pack • Gas hob and electric oven • Dishwasher • Washing machine and dryer • Giant infinity roll top bath in the bedroom • Walk in power shower • All luxury linen and towels provided • Hair dryer • TV in bedroom • Both the siting room and bedroom TV’s have full Sky package (including Movies and Sports) and a chromecast. You can even watch the TV when in the bath if you wish! • Bluetooth soundbar with Spotify access • Free wifi • Adjustable mood lighting in all rooms Bedroom The luxurious open plan bedroom has a stunning oak sleigh king size bed made up with luxury egyption cotton bedding. The bed is somewhat eclipsed by the roll top bath that has a beautiful view of Broadford Bay. The unique step into the bath was made from one of the Island’s Scots Elm trees that sadly came down in a storm several years back. It was harvested by a friend who also runs a local sawmill. We handpicked a section of the tree that best suited the shape of the step. After several years drying, it was crafted to create a simply stunning entrance that borders the bath. The large pebbles and stones which surround the bath are from one of our favourite beaches where we spent many days playing as kids. Luxury fluffy towels and dressing gowns are provided along with Isle of Skye soaps and bath bombs. As well as the bath the bedroom also has a ensuite walk in power shower. There is a TV in the bedroom with a full Sky package along with a bluetooth speaker. Lounge The lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring Skye or to chill out on a rainy day. The cosy couch is a lovely spot to sit and admire the view of Beinn na Caillich and Broadford Bay. The adjustable lighting is great for setting the mood. The TV has a full Sky package with access to Netflix and Spotify. There are also several board games and jigsaws for those lazy days as well as guide books and OS maps to help plan your days out on the island. We are always a phone call away for recommending any nice walks – there are plenty places we can show you that are off the tourist track. Kitchen An extensively equipped modern kitchen with coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob and fridge freezer. We also provide a generous hospitality pack on arrival. The breakfast bar is a bespoke design. We managed to source a couple of Talisker whisky barrels and upcycled them to create a simple one off stunning cladding. The adjustable lighting really sets it off. If you want a break from cooking there are also takeaway menus and restaurant recommendations within the welcome book. Upstairs The house has a great upstairs space that we have made into a chill out area/study. It has very comfy Cloud bean bags, a hanging swing chair and a Swedish style desk with an iMac and printer for guest use. Utility/Drying Room Fully equipped with washing machine and tumble drier. The weather can be quite unpredictable at times on Skye so we provide Barbour jackets and wellies for guests – just incase!
The cottage is ideally placed in the village of Broadford as it is within easy walking distance of local pubs, eating places, shops and restaurants, while it is set in its own private garden grounds. It has ample parking. It is located some 1/4mile from the A87. It enjoys superb open views over Broadford Bay to the magical Island of Pabay, with the heights of Applecross in the background and the Islands of Scalpay, Longay, Crowlins and Guillamon scattered across the waters leading to the mystical Islands of Raasay and Rona, which can be seen to the north. Boating activities at Broadford Pier can be viewed across the Bay, as can magnificent sunsets. Broadford (in Gaelic “An t-Ath Leathann” pronounced Un Taa Layun means “the broad ford”) was formerly a cattle market up until the 19th century and in 1812 Thomas Telford built a road through the village. It then grew rapidly in the first half of the 19th century with the settlement of Napoleonic veterans. It is the second largest village on Skye and a perfect base from which to explore the island and near mainland as it is ideally placed between the spectacular Red Cuillin and the mainland Torridon mountains. Eating Places Whether you decide to eat in, or you choose to eat out, there is plenty of choice nearby. Broadford has a supermarket and a range of small shops, and you will find a list of convenient eating places in the cottage handbook – these range from a Michelin Star restaurant (within 3 miles) to a take-away fish and chip shop, plus local restaurants and pubs (within 1 mile).
  • Fiona and Gordon have created a peaceful retreat just moments from whatever you may need in town. Their thoughtful design and decor make Dark Skye Cottage a wonderful getaway, and their hospitality is unparalleled. The welcome basket and flowers were beautiful touches, and the house book with instructions was fantastic. I love that you support local artists, and that you made it easy for us to recycle and keep the place as tidy as possible. We encourage anyone thinking of staying here to do so—thank you for everything!

  • We stayed in Dark Skye Cottage in late January, so got a great deal out of season. We arrived to an immaculately clean cottage, with the wonderful under floor heating on so the place was nice and cosy upon arrival. On the way up the road (we were travelling to Skye from Glasgow) Fiona texted me to warn of a possible road closure, which was a very nice thing to do and really adds that "human touch" so often missing in other places. This thoughtfulness was again apparent with the lovely welcome hamper left for our arrival, with some local goodies (I wont spoil the surprise!) and some fresh eggs from their very own croft! Lovely touches that really go a long way. Dark Skye cottage itself is gorgeous - exceptionally well designed, and the attention to detail throughout is very apparent - ergonomically laid out to a high finish, and really well thought out lighting, which can be altered considerably (and easily). There are modern, easy to use appliances and abundant hot water. The cottage is actually far larger than the pictures give the impression of, and there is more than enough room to feel spacious whilst still being cosy and intimate - we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door, which is a great indication of how nice a space it is. It is extremely well insulated and brightly lit in the daylight, with great views from every window. The decoration and artwork is lovely and very tasteful as well - attention to detail in every regard throughout the cottage is outstanding - a lot of thought and design has gone into the building and it really shows. Dark Skye is literally a 5 min drive from the local shops, so getting supplies was quick and easy. Broadford is an ideal central location on Skye and the cottage is immediately at hand - but still far enough removed from the road to feel "away from it all" - so the best of both worlds, close amenities, and also remoteness with nice views - ideal. This is a long review, but I really wanted to give Dark Sky and it's hosts Gordon & Fiona the recognition they all deserve - you will get a first class experience here - in every regard, and the high end location and service really enhances your experience of staying on the island. A real first class experience. We absolutely loved it and will very likely return in the future. If you are swaying as to whether to book it or not, just go ahead and do so - I promise you will love it!

  • Absolutely the perfect location for exploring Skye, with all the amenities you could ask for close by. The house has breath taking views from every window, you’ll never be disappointed. If you’re looking for an adventurous time of sightseeing around the island or just want the ultimate relaxing couples break - look no further. This cottage has it all. Gordon and Fiona have really thought of everything with brilliant touches at every turn, to make you fall further in love. The only problem you’ll ever have here..... is leaving. Thanks for everything Shaun and Elizabeth x

  • Dark Skye Cottage is the perfect base for exploring Skye! The cottage is beautiful, exactly like the photos, and when the weather isn’t in your favour it’s lovely enough that you don’t feel guilty for sheltering in it and enjoying some movies! Our puppy enjoyed running around in the land outside the cottage, and we made full use of the wellies provided during our washout week! Will definitely be staying again and would always recommend. Gordon and Fiona were wonderfully helpful when a lightning storm crashed the WiFi, and definitely make sure check out their brilliant craft beer and gin and whiskey shop on the way out of Broadford, it’s perfect for gifts to bring home! Thanks both. Alex, Lou and Dylan

  • This was the most comfortable, private, and cosy location we have stayed at in six months of travel. Evelyn was marvellous, made us feel so very welcome, and helped us out with our every need. The permanently located mobile accommodation has everything you would need in a holiday, be it short or a longer stay. The view from the living room is to die for. We just found ourselves sitting on the huge couch, just losing ourselves in the scenery outside. Can comfortably accommodate a family, and is very spacious for a couple, looking for some extra space. Very well appointed with two toilets, shower, and fully equipped kitchen. We will certainly be back and have recommended this lovely location to family and friends.

  • A very good apartment / caravan, which is very pleasant to live for a few days, clean, convenient and very well located to discover the island!

  • I can't say enough wonderful things about Evelyn and The Coppice! I marked that it was "Much better than I expected" simply because I wasn't sure if it was really as good as it looked location-wise and amenity-wise, but it was that and more! Evelyn is an amazing hostess - she met us immediately upon our arrival, gave us a tour right away and then gave us all the privacy we could wish for during the rest of our our stay. She lives right next to the AirBnB, and so was easily accessible for questions, etc. She left homemade scones for us with delightful little pots of butter and jam, fresh flowers, and even insisted on washing our laundry, hung it out to dry and folded it herself (not promising that she'll have time to do that for everyone, though!!). The Coppice is maybe 30 feet from the ocean waterfront on a lovely, quiet little road just before Broadford, the entry town to the Isle of Skye. Broadford is within walking distance with restaurants/cafes, grocery stores, gas, shopping, and a little park to explore - there's also a fabulous little walking trail at the end of the road on which the AirBnB sits. The Wifi worked great for our needs, and the heating works wonderfully on cold mornings - turn on the livingroom fireplace and the whole place is toasty within 15-20 minutes. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate including a large refrigerator, instant electric water heating pot, pots and pans, ziploc and garbage bags, and a French press and a selection of delightful mugs for morning coffee, among the usual essential utensils! The Coppice is in a gated area with a large private parking space and surrounded with lush garden vegetation and a table w/ chairs on the board walkway if one desires to eat outside in good weather. Evelyn also has a large selection of books in the livingroom - photo, touring, history, maps, etc. - that was very helpful to us in selecting which attractions to visit during our stay. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here, I guarantee it!!

  • A beautiful location on the edge of a loch, on a quiet T road. Spacious, clean accommodation in a large holiday home and very comfortable furnishings. No TV but plenty of books and your own entertainment to keep you amused. Very peaceful. Five mins from Broadford for petrol and supplies and the main roads to the sights around Skye. Would go back to Evelyn’s rental in an instant! Highly recommended!!

  • Nice place to stay. The chalet is large and clean. Evelyn has fully equipped the chalet. Nice woman. Close to many places of interest on Skye. Supermarket is close by.

  • A beautiful mobile home, spacious and elegant, with a wonderful view. Evelyn, very kind and helpful, very attentive to privacy. We had a great time.

  • A perfect cosy place to explore Skye. Very comfortable bed, clean and warm. Grant and Kate were lovely and kind and gave us lots of great tips. Extra treat of cookies, crackers and cheese in the fridge on arrival! Had a delightful stay and would definitely recommend!

  • Isle of Skye was amazing! Highly recommend staying with Kate and Grant in their lovely stone flat! No kitchen as advertised but a nice little picnic basket, kettle and fridge so you can have snacks and brekky! The place was spotless clean, parking was easy right at the door and it isn’t far from a coop, petrol station and a few cafes/restaurants. We weren’t lucky with the weather but just driving around was spectacular! Thanks so much Grant and Kate!

    Kate2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Grant gave us a very warm welcome. The cottage was cozy and fully equipped with attentive details. Also great location to explore beautiful isle of skye.

  • Great spot to lay our heads. Cozy, clean, and well appointed. Love the old farm building conversion. Grant greeted us when we arrived and gave us a send off as we left. A very nice spot from which to see all of Skye!

  • Understand what you book, Read the directions, Be kind, Ask questions and you should be a-okay!

  • Everything was great and as stated in the description of the accommodation. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The big bed was very comfortable and fluffy. Tea, instant coffee, biscuits, milk, cheese and crackers were available (in the fridge) and plates, cups and cutlery were also provided. We were able to park in front of the property in the yard. The nights were very quiet. The location of the apartment is ideal for exploring the island. At the same time, the location is great for getting to the ferry terminal in Armadale. Unfortunately we could not meet Kate and Grant only briefly encountered in the yard, but we are both very grateful for the super fast answers by Airbnb and the straightforward way of checking in! This allowed us to arrive and depart flexible in terms of time.

  • Grant was very friendly and welcoming, and the space was clean, well equipped, private, and in a good location for exploring Skye. It was also a short walk to nearby restaurants. I'll hopefully get the chance to return again!

  • Kate and Grant’s place was absolutely wonderful to stay at. The room was clean, spacious, bed was comfy, and extra little touches made it more special; biscuits, cheeses and crackers and a picnic basket. Communication was great and fantastic hospitality. The location makes it easy for driving around Skye. Will definitely be back!

10 Torrin is a welcoming self-catering cottage set in amongst the crofts just 7 miles from Broadford on the Isle of Skye. There is a double and a twin bedroom. It is excellently located for relaxing walks along country lanes to the shores of Loch Slapin, or explore the rest of Skye, Raasay, Lochalsh and Glenelg.
10 Torrin is a traditional croft house built out of local stone in 1823. There is a small garden around the holiday cottage which makes a lovely picnic area with views to the Red Cuillins. Inside the main holiday home, the ground floor is open plan. There is a spacious dining area with an extendable table which seats 4-6 people. The kitchen has an electric cooker, washing machine, microwave and a fridge/freezer. The comfy sitting room has 2 settees (one of which is also a comfortable sofa bed). There is an open fireplace which you are welcome to use. Please bring firewood and kindling with you. On the upper floor there is a spacious shower room and two bedrooms; one double and one twin room. There is also a cot and high chair available on request. (Please bring your own linen.) Located to the side of the holiday cottage in the garden, The Old Barn provides a further twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. To rent out The Old Barn along with 10 Torrin, there is an additional fee of £50 per week which can be added at the time of booking your holiday home. Please be aware that mobile signal in the area is poor and so a payphone has been installed in the house and WiFi is available. 10 Torrin makes a great base for a relaxing holiday on the Isle of Skye! Pets are welcome but a fee of £20 per pet applies. Please Note: 10 Torrin sleeps a maximum of 6 people. The comfy sitting room has 2 settees (one of which is also a comfortable sofa bed). Please state on your booking if you would like to use the sofa bed. There is an additional charge of £25 per week. If you require the Old Barn, there is a fee of £50 per week in addition to the rental cost. This must be paid before arrival. Linen, towels, electricity and the final clean are included in the rental. Additional charges will only occur for breakages or any additional cleaning. It would be appreciated if the cottage was left in the same order as you found it. Many thanks! Please be aware that mobile signal in the area is poor and so a payphone has been installed in the house and WiFi is available. Whilst we hope that none of our guests experience issues during their stay, we do need to point out that due to the cottage's location on the Isle of Skye, some services can be tempermental and can take a lengthy delay to get resolved. Internet speed can be very slow and the service can fluctuate during the day and week. Mobile phone signal is very patchy on the Isle of Skye. Also, to replace any broken appliances, it can take weeks for a delivery to happen. We will at all times try our hardest to rectify any issues but please bear with us as there can be issues due to location that are outwith our control. Cottage directions and key information are emailed approximately 14 days in advance of the arrival date.

  • Great place to visit if you want peace and quiet, not too far from local amenities. Lovely walks nearby and plenty to do with the kids exploring the isle of skye.

  • 10 Torrin was perfect for our recent visit to Skye. The location was perfect for us, off the main road in a beautiful setting but not too far up the road from Broadford where you can find eateries, supermarket, shops, pharmacy etc The cottage is cosy, warm & very relaxing, we loved having an open fire every evening after our long walks. The kitchen is very well stocked for catering in. Lots of great books & maps & ideas of where to go & what to do whilst on Skye A beautiful cottage for our week away, we hope to return.

    Sharon2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at 10 Torrin for a week and it proved to be a truly beautiful cottage in a stunning setting. If you want to get away from it all and be comfortable and well catered for then we highly recommend this little cottage. Four of us, two adults, two teenagers, stayed in the cottage and then Grandparents had the extra beds in the barn for a few night. Before we arrive communication about the stay was really excellent. All our questions were answered by quick reply. Nothing was too much trouble and it really helped to prepare us for our visit. If the cottage was special, and it was, the setting was really quite mind blowing. Yes we had the rain but that only added to the experience of seeing the hills change every day. Each time more inspiring than the first. Lots to do on the island and on the sea and loads of beautiful walks. The price for the week, we felt, was very reasonable compared with others and cottage was both clean and well stocked. Bottom line is that we would highly recommend this Airbnb should you be looking to stay on the Island of Skye

Loved it and we will be back!” Lee from the UK “The Lodge is simply wonderful! Location wise - you are a very short drive from Broadford, a town with plenty of amenities. We also drove to the furthest north of Skye and it only took us an hour to get back. Very accessible and the surroundings are idyllic. The lodge itself is fantastic. The space was cosy but surprisingly spacious, everything worked brilliantly and was of a very high standard. The bed was one of the most comfiest we have ever slept in and the sofa made for cosy evenings overlooking the islands. We never actually met our hosts, but they sent plenty of information in advance and left some very thoughtful touches in the lodge for us to find. We had a lovely time here and would not hesitate to return.” Kate from the UK..

Our house Taigh Mairi is in Upper Breakish on the A87(main road). Taigh Mairi is a 5 minute drive into Broadford (3 miles) and 7 miles from the Skye bridge. Within a 10 minute walk there is the Red Skye Restaurant. We have created a cosy, open plan self catering studio within our family home. The studio has its own private facilities none of which are used by us. The studio is set up for guest use only. There are plenty of facilities to make your stay as comfortable and as homely as possible.
We have created a cosy, open plan, self catering studio within a section of our home. Our home is called Taigh Màiri, Scots Gaelic, meaning Mary's house. The log burning stove is terrific bonus. Why not treat yourself to a real Scottish holiday experience, sitting by the log burning stove in the evenings (logs available to purchase for £10).
See cows, sheep, horses, ducks, rabbits and buzzards. You might hear the cuckoo! Dine in the Red Skye Restaurant. Have a paddle in the water at the golden sandy Ashaig beach.....all within a 15 minute walk.

Welcome to the Henhouse, a unique ‘hut’ built using up-cycled materials where possible. Nestled away on Ashaig Quiet Campsite. The light and airy space is perfect to relax after a day of walking/exploring. Despite the compact size it comfortably fits a king size bed, cooking and seating area. Important: The ‘henhouse’ does not have a connected bathroom but has the use of the campsite toilets and metered showers which are a 20 metre walk from the henhouse. There is also no wifi.
Very light and airy, with multiple windows, without being overlooked.
A crofting area, still grazed by cattle and sheep, within walking distance of a beautiful almost deserted beach. The Cuillin hills and various small islands are clearly visible, yet it is only 3 miles to a supermarket, post office, garage, chemist, hospital and various restaurants.
  • Lovely place! Recently opened and everything is brand new. You will have amazing views on the hills and the river nearby. Can reccomend this plave to everyone who visits Skye.

The bed was so comfy!   Would definitely come back again soon and would highly recommend this gorgeous place to anyone travelling to Skye. ☺

  • The henhouse is wonderful! My friend and I spent three lovely nights on Skye and could not recommend this place enough. The space itself is very cozy, with a fully stocked kitchenette and a very comfortable bed. Showers and toilets were just a few meters away. It was the perfect place from which to explore the island. Wish we had stayed longer!

    Emma2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The hut is a small hut located in the very quiet Ashaig campsite. Everything is new, well equipped, very clean, the hut is really cozy and we stay there with pleasure. In addition to the attentions found on our arrival, there were more provisions with breakfast and cusiner some meals. The toilets are a few steps away and we are not at all bothered by the neighbors of the campsite. Stay really nice!

Our pod is located on the family Croft in the quiet village of Breakish, just 4 miles from the Skye Bridge. With beautiful panoramic views looking north over the coast of Skye, you can see the islands of Pabay, Scaplay and Raasay in the distance and the Red Cullin Hills of Skye.
The Isle of Skye is one of the most visited places in Scotland, with the numbers of visitors increasing each year. There is so much to see and do on Skye that many visitors feel a few days here is never enough to see all the attractions. For this reason many people come back each year to get the most out of what Skye has to offer.
Breakish is one of the most peaceful villages on Skye. You can find the beautiful sandy Ashaig beach in 5 minutes walking distance, which is popular with both tourists and locals. A local restaurant can be found in 10 minutes walking distance, and the village of Broadford is less than 3 miles away where you can find shops, restaurants and pubs. Kyleakin village is just over 4 miles away, where you can find more pubs and places to eat.
  • This tiny house/Pod is adorable. It was perfect for my husband and I for our short over night stay in Skye. Angus met us onsite even though we got in later than planned and helped us get settled. While it worked fine for us, we did notice how small the bed and shower are. I’m 5’4 and my husband is 5’7” and sharing the bed was still tight. The shower was small as well and would be hard for taller or larger individuals.

  • Angus is an amazing host, super friendly and with great local tips. And the pod was really awesome, the view was spectacular and the interior was really nice as well. It made staying in on a rainy evening even nicer, with the sounds of raindrops on the roof. We were surprised to see how much can fit in such a tiny space, and we never felt crowded or claustrophobic. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I hope we can come back again soon!

  • Angus's pod was very stylish. The bed was very comfortable and the room was full of nice little touches. The pictures don't do justice to the place. Communication with the host was great. We booked the pod on the same day and he was very quick to accept the request. Also, he was very responsive and he had great suggestions for restaurants. We loved the isle of Skye and if we have the chance to go back we would love to stay at Angus's again. Would 100% recommend.

  • The Breakish bay pod is amazing, we really recommend! All was great such as the Angus' hospitality, the wonderful view on front of the Pod and all the accomodation at all. We felt really at home!

  • We had a great time at Angus’ place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The views are amazing. Angus is a great host and there when you need him, very nice and wants to share all he know about the area. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Our beautiful self-catering studio for two, is situated just metres from the water's edge with stunning views to the mountains and islands of Pabay and Scalpay. Bijou but perfectly formed, the cabin is light and airy and has been lovingly designed to be calm and comfortable and make the most of the spectacular views. Perfect for short stays of two or three days it is within easy walking distance of Broadford and makes a perfect base for exploring or just sitting and watching the wildlife.
Waterside Cabin is right on the sea and is packed full of character and charm. In spite of its compact size (27m sq) , the cabin has a fully equipped kitchenette with two burner hob and microwave combo fan oven. There is a TV and DVD player, radio with bluetooth so you can play your own music, WiFi, a lovely double bed and an ensuite shower room. We supply all bed linen and towels and luxurious Arran Aromatic toiletries so you just need to bring yourself! French doors open out onto a private decking area, perfect for a evening sundowner, or you can choose to set out your table and chairs on the secluded patio area. You can while away the hours watching the birdlife (greylag geese, herons, ringed plovers, oyster catchers, curlews, shelducks, widgeon, sandpipers). Although parking is shared with the main house, our guests comment on the feeling of seclusion and privacy around the cabin itself. Come rain or shine, it's a lovely place to be - we hope you will think so too. The Cabin is perfectly located for visiting the Isle of Skye and the mainland villages of Dornie and Plockton. It is within walking distance of all amenities with the restaurants and shops of Broadford nearby, including a well stocked supermarket, and is easy to reach by car from the Skye bridge or from the ferry at Armadale. It makes a great holiday base for solo travellers or couples allowing you to explore the whole of Skye and Lochalsh. The family friendly Hebridean Hotel is around 2 minutes walk away and the shops and cafes of Broadford are within 1 mile. Plockton, Sleat, Elgol and Cuillin and Kintail hills are all within easy reach.
Broadford is Skye's second largest settlement and has a number of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a large well-stocked supermarket and petrol station. There are a number of lovely walks nearby and it makes the perfect base to explore the rest of Skye and Lochalsh. The cabin is located exactly one mile from the centre of the village with restaurants and cafes along the way.
  • This is without a doubt the best AirBnB I have stayed in. To wake up and look out over the water is a real privilege. The attention to deal, helpful notes and lovely interior just add to the experience. Fiona was also a superb host and answered a simple query I had straight away. I really cannot thank you enough and I delighted that I found this wonderful home which really made my visit to Skye.

    Nick2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely great! Wonderful location directly at the waterfront with a great view. Perfect location to explore the island. Easy check-in and out and loads of good tips by Fiona - would come here again and again :-)

  • Perfect cosy cabin, everything you would ever need apart from the great outdoors...which happens to be on your door stop. The service and communication before hand was great. The fudge on the bed was an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Ceol Na Mara, Gaelic for ‘music of the sea’, is a 6 bedroom hostel-style guesthouse located on the beautiful shoreline of Broadford Bay. Each double/twin bedroom has a sink and a lock on the door. There is a large shared kitchen as well as a living room, dining room, and two shared bathrooms. These spaces are shared with other guests so we cannot guarantee cleanliness at all times. The house and décor are quite old – we are not a high end place!!! – simple and homely.
Great base for those on a budget accessing all Skye has to offer. Broadford is the second largest settlement on Skye with a large supermarket and petrol station a short distance away.
There is a lovely sandy beach right outside the door. The house is on a quiet single-track dead-end road, making it a peaceful place but only a short distance to shops, pubs, and restaurants.
  • So lovely to sit and watch the birds whilst eating breakfast. The place was kept clean and tidy. Really good value for money, lots of parking , easy check in, great communication comfy beds. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

  • Gorgeous cottage. Stylish inside, traditional outside. Warm and cosy.

    Pauline2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This adorable little cottage with stunning views has all the best parts of old world charm and new world convenience. It's fully stocked, gorgeously decorated (pictures do not do it justice!), comfortable, warm, quiet, and immaculately clean. The location is great - only 15 minutes to Broadford, 40 minutes to Portree, 20 minutes to Elgol... but it's very remote. You feel like it's the only place in the world :) Julie was very communicative and helpful, and made sure to make our check in process as smooth as possible. Would gladly stay here again (in fact... can I move in permanently!?)

    Daidree2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Kenny's cottage is a perfect oasis surrounded by spectacular scenery and also centrally located to easily travel around Skye. The cottage is stylishly decorated, immaculately clean and is so cosy during winter. We loved being able to light the fire and all the included amenities meant we could be fully efficient and cook for ourselves whilst we were there. We would 100% recommend this beautiful cottage and would love to come back one day!

    Chloe2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Not only is this a very stylish place to stay it is super cosy, open and finished to an immaculate level! The location is easy to reach and yet isolated enough for a quiet stay. The hosts are close by and they are very helpful. I think that this has to be the nicest air bnb I’ve stayed in, and as others have said the pictures do not do it justice. Thank you for a very restful stay despite the stormy December weather 😊.

    Claire2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most luxurious and super cozy Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Kenny and Julie thought of every possible way to make this space perfect in every way. Do yourself a favour and reserve this beautiful cottage!

  • This was an amazing place to stay.

    Susan2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the cottage. When we arrived in the rain and dark the fire was waiting to be lit, wine and beer was there for the drinking, and we donned the complimentary slippers and robes. The cottage is very well located, with easy access to the bridge and the rest of Skye waiting for you in the north. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
