  • We stayed for three nights for my husband’s birthday and wasn’t disappointed. A lovely little place in a quiet spot but close enough to amenities should you need them. A lovely clean modern lodge with a secluded patio area with a hot tub, which was fab watching the wildlife. Was even great in the wind and rain although a bit chilly getting in and out. Absolutely loved feeding the alpacas an added touch. Thanks for a great stay, would love to come back soon in the warmer weather.

  • All the team is super professional, Mudi contacted us WhatsApp, sent a list of what we need to take with us. Driver was punctual and very careful as roads seem dangerous sometimes. Our guide Radi was extremely friendly and helped a lot while going down to the Diamond beach, we felt very comfortable and secured. Also we had an opportunity to have a nice lunch with local dishes on the way. Trip is a great value for money as you are able to see the best spots of Nusa Penida in one day. I fully recommend Mudi and his team!

    Hussam2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Radi was an amazing host. Thank you for being patient. We got to explore the best of the East and West side of Nusa Penida. It was overall a great experience :)

    Donovan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mudi was the best guide we could hope for , he brought us to the best place of nusa penida , he was very kind and patient. He took the time to take the best pictures of us . I would really recommend booking this tour with Mudi . It was incredible, one of the most beautiful places I've been in my life , totally worth it ! Thank you Mudi !

    Britany2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great ! I recommend you this guide!

    Полина2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Visiting Nusa Penida has been a dream of ours even since we decided to visit Bali and having Mudi as our tour guide for the day was the best decision! We have been on many tours in Bali, and personally we believe Mudi has been the most accommodating, caring, informative and flexible of all. The island offers stunning nature views and Mudi was not only our guide, but also our private photographer (he even lined up for us in the sun and heat and told us to stay in the shade until it was our turn to go). He has excellent knowledge of the island, Bali, the culture and religion and is extremely easy to get along with. Towards the end of the day, we still had some time to spare and Mudi took us to a nice, sandy beach with very clear water to dip in and cool down after a long and sweaty trek. Finally, if you are worried about not having enough food and drinks, don’t be - Mudi constantly asks you if you need anything and is happy to stop on the way to the next destination. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this fantastic trip with Mudi, especially as he is one of the very few to offer visits to both the West and East of Nusa Penida and for the price, it’s a bargain! Thank you Mudi! :)

    Mirela2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely amazing day trip to Nusa Penida thanks to Mudi and his friend (our driver for the day). We visited the most beautiful and scenic places and even got an extra sight in. Our driver is local to the island and has expert knowledge of the area. We had the freedom to stay as long as we liked at each destination and even stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant after visiting the treehouse. Mudi even helped me through the booking process as I had never used air bnb before. We will definitely book again. 10/10 would recommend.

The place was very clean with some very luxurious touches (the bath and hot tub) and the Netflix account was a nice touch. There are some lovely places for walking and the local pubs are great. Lastly, Diesel the cat was amazing company and feeding the animals at the farm was good fun.

  • I stayed here for 2 nights for my 30th birthday with my husband and friends. It was amazing, all of us had such a good time and would recommend The Stables to everyone! Very clean throughout, hot tub was amazing, kitchen was well equipped, fridge/freezer was a good size too. Communication was great, I received messages about check in and when the hot tub would be ready, very polite. Diesel the cat is lovely, very affectionate, however did wake us up a few times in the night for food, was happy once fed. Feeding the alpacas was a highlight. We were all so sad to be leaving, it was such a relaxing break and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, very private. We will definitely be booking to come back soon. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Great place to stay with a large group! Two living room spaces and two dining rooms, as well as a cosy large kitchen. We really enjoyed our weekend stay at this beautiful home!

    Sabrina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great and quirky property - fab for a weekend away with friends!

    Daniel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very large and was a super venue for my mums 80th birthday lunch it allowed relatives coming from a distance to stay and spend a bit more valuable family time together. Despite being large it still feels cosy and made for a very special day. We were there in the winter so mostly stayed indoors but the garden is also super and it would have been lovely in warmer weather to spill outside and enjoy that space too.

    Claire2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A group of 13 of us stayed for two nights at Harry’s place for my 30th birthday and we cannot reccomend it enough! The house is huge, beautiful, quirky and was equipped with everything we needed for the time there! The bedrooms are all lovely and comfortable, little touches made our stay so easy like providing towels, speakers and logs for the fire! It’s a great location about 20 min walk from the station, great pub a few doors down, and a nice area for a walk down the road. There was everything we needed- and Harry was super quick and helpful with all communication, a fantastic house and stay!

  • Amazing host - little touches, quick responses and easy check-in. The house is immaculate, so stunning and the pictures honestly don't do the space justice - so many spacious rooms! We had the best time and would firmly encourage others to book this house!

    Chloe2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We hired out this lovely house for extra accommodation for our daughters wedding. It was a perfect base for family and friends. It was brilliant. There are a number of large rooms in this beamed house and it wasn't a problem for the bride and groom not to bump into each other in the wedding morning. Kitchen has everything you need to cater for a large group . All our guests loved it here and it contributed to making the weekend very special . Highly recommended. Thank you.

    Adrian2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous weekend in Braintree. The house is perfect for a family/friends get together. There’s plenty of living space, a large dining room table and a lovely spacious and very well equipped kitchen. It’s brimming with beautiful period features, it’s tastefully decorated and has oodles of character. It’s a short walk to the town centre too which is nice to wander around for a few hours.

It’s right next to the lake so the scenery was beautiful when sitting out on the decking (the white ducks come and greet you and they’re so sweet). The hut itself is cosy and the swing seat and the chairs on the decking are perfect to sit outside and enjoy the view, the blankets provided by Sue and the chiminea kept us warm! Don’t miss the cheeky pygmy goats and chickens they are adorable. X

  • What an amazing place!!! It was a birthday surprise for my other half and he absolutely loved it. Gemma was responding quickly, very helpful and no question was a fuss. The cottage is even better in person!! We sat by the log fire for hours, our dog by our feet and the bath in the bedroom was such a fantastic idea!!!! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!! Our dog loved all the space to run around too. We visited The Anchor, which was recommended as a dog friendly pub, and we were not disappointed. Separate dining area for dog owners with treat tins and 'fish and chips' snacks, great food, staff and service. If you want to escape from busy life, this is the place to visit. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything Gemma. Ewa

  • Booked one night last-minute by myself - what a lovely cabin! Secluded enough to feel really private and spacious, but close enough to the main house to not feel isolated. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with thoughtful little touches (such as hair straighteners, toiletries and a coffee machine), this is a good spot for a relaxing break. With the free-standing bath and log burner, its so romantic I’ll definitely be coming back with the other half at some point, and it would be a lovely secure place to bring kids for a break too. Couldn’t fault the hospitality, location or communication, and will definitely return. Thanks Gemma!

    Lucy2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is set in a lovely secluded and peaceful location. Cabin itself is stylish, fresh and modern inside with some personal touches and an amazing wood burner which made the cabin warm and cosy in the evening. Bed was very comfortable. Guest information pack provided which was very detailed and helpful. Didn't go out as we wanted to enjoy the peace and calm away from our busy household of kids and 3 dogs, so ordered a takeaway which was delivered to our cabin door. Really hope to visit again soon. Thank you to Gemma and her husband.

  • So pleased we chose this over a hotel! Arrived a little later than anticipated - very cold outside and windy so The Old School house was very welcoming and cosy! Music playing and side lights on when we walked in - perfect. Very well done inside - loads of space - would make a great yoga room.. tastefully decorated - nice touches with a bottle of wine and real milk in the fridge. We didn’t spend much time in there as heading out to a party locally but no doubt would be a lovely place to hang out in. Too windy to have a fire when we got back but I can see what a good spot that would be. Great sleep - very quiet and woke up to sunshine so had a cup of tea on the patio in the sunshine (and Woolley hat!) great communication throughout. Will stay again! Thanks

    Kevin2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • A really great stay! I stayed at Laura's for two weeks whilst doing a summer placement nearby; it has good train and bus access links (10 minute walk), and is in a nice quiet residential village with a few shops and food places etc. Laura is a really welcoming host, and I really enjoyed getting to know her. I was given a house key, so was free to come and go as I wanted, which was very helpful; I was also totally free to use the kitchen and her equipment to cook meals, and was given some fridge space too; and I was able to do washing as well which was great. The bedroom is compact but has plenty of storage space and a nice window over the garden which catches the setting sun. The bathroom is the shared family bathroom downstairs, which was totally fine and has a full-length mirror. They also have a lovely little dog called Merlin. So all in all, a friendly, convenient place to stay - would recommend!

For a holiday you’ll always remember, The Tower is a unique property that the whole family will love. Built in 1934, its interior has been decorated in keeping with the date of construction, with simple, elegant features such as a large, plain white free-standing bathtub and white ceramic tiles. Subtle touches like floor lighting and underfloor heating throughout add to the elegance. There are three storeys, with a study on the ground floor, and bedrooms, snug room and bathrooms on the second floor. The top floor is the piece de resistance, with an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. Here, the 12-meter-wide glass wall opens out onto a large balustraded terrace, where you can enjoy stunning views across the River Crouch to Southend and the North Downs beyond. No wonder the property recently won Maldon’s Building Conservation Award. This is a delightful area of the country, with the undulating landscapes of the South Downs and historic towns of Maldon to enjoy and explore. What better way to experience it all than in your very own historic building? The holiday snaps are bound to be something special! This holiday at a glance Sleeps six guests. One king size bedroom with en-suite. One double bedroom with en-suite. One double bedroom. Family bathroom. Open plan living room with 12m wide glass wall. Please be advised there is a total of 45 stairs within the property, therefore please take extra care with small children/toddlers. Large balustraded balcony with stunning views. Snug. WiFi - Please be advised due to rural location download speed can be slow especially within peak times. Children of all ages welcome. Sorry, no dogs. Private parking for four cars. Minimum two night stay. Additional features Electric oven and hob. Combined fridge/freezer. Microwave. Dishwasher. Wine chiller. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Television with Sky. Highchair available on request. Attractions and nearby amenities Burnham-on-Crouch was once an oyster port, and there’s still a nautical feel in this picturesque town. The quay here is known as the ‘Cowes of the East Coast’ and you can take a ferry trip from here over the River Crouch. Boats are also available to hire, and there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to explore too. If you take that ferry from Burnham-on-Crouch, you’ll arrive at the Essex Marina, from where you can walk to RSPB’s Wallasea Island. This is an ongoing project to recreate a vast landscape of ancient wetlands and salt marsh. In the summer, you’ll see flocks of terns, and in the winter the landscape is filled with literally thousands of waders and wildfowl. Overlooking the Blackwater estuary, Maldon is an ancient Essex town with medieval timbered buildings and contemporary shops. Old Thames barges are moored at Hythe Quay, and you can get to see more of this unique maritime landscape by taking a boat trip on one of these old craft. If you’re hoping for a historic holiday, make sure to visit The Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall. This is the oldest church in England, dating back to 654AD. This tranquil building is at the end of the St Peters Way walk, and has superb views of the coast. Green-fingered visitors will love a trip to the RHS Garden Hyde Hall, a 360-acre estate with fascinating and ever-changing garden areas, like the Dry Garden or the Hilltop Garden. It’s not all plants either – keep your eyes peeled for brown hares, as well as butterflies and birds. At the end of the Chelmer & Blackwater canal, you’ll find Heybridge Basin, where a sea lock links the canal to the Blackwater estuary. There are plenty of coastal walks to enjoy from here, or you can just sit and enjoy a meal at one of the two pubs, looking out on all the maritime activity. A first floor bedroom in a small, quiet pleasant Edwardian semi-detached house in a quiet street. You can walk to just about anywhere in the city from the property. A park and museum, Aldi and Tesco, large range of cafes, restaurants, cinemas and shops ten minutes walk , swimming pools, ice rink and mainline station only 20 minutes. Anglia Ruskin University is about 25 minutes walk. Street lights are on from 5am to midnight, 1am at weekends.
Everyone who walks in my house says how lovely it is. Tea and coffee making in the room.
The up and coming city of Chelmsford has everything from cafes and cinemas to ice rinks and museums, international restaurants and major shops. And its all only ten minutes walk from the property. Whether you are coming for a work engagement, visit to Anglia Ruskin university, to see friends or to be within relatively easy access of London but escaping the hustle and bustle at night, this is a good location.

  • Nicola was a great host, communication was very prompt when we first made contact to book and my daughter and I were made to feel welcome the moment the front door was opened. The accommodation was very homely and we love quirkinesses and that was what we found. The rooms were clean and comfortable and Nicola catered for our dietary needs. We love animals and it was lovely to meet Nicola’s dog who was very friendly and well behaved. Although the house is on a main road, the bedroom is at the back the house and we had a very good nights sleep, you could here the traffic passing if you were in the front room but that didn't bother us. If we visit Braintree again we would definitely stay with Nicola. Thank you Nicola you are a five star host.

    Jayne2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Nicola's house that left us with a good taste and a desire to come back to Braintree as soon as possible!

  • Wow, what a find! This amazing historic Tudor house is full of interesting artefacts and unusual decor. I fell in love with the period features such as the exposed oak beams everywhere, gothic window and beautiful barn style doors - honest and pure beauty! This place is a must if you love old houses with totally authentic character!! The facilities are great; a huge living/dining area with fridge/toaster/kettle etc, cosy bedroom and en suite. Nicola and her friendly dog are excellent hosts and totally respect your privacy. You have a self contained attic space which is totally private and separate with your own front door key. Thank you for a lovely stay in your home Nicola :) I hope to return in the future!

  • Lovely cosy little room for our one night stay. Easy check-in, good amenities and comfy sofa bed. Great communication, especially considering we were checking in on Christmas Eve! Thanks Judith.

  • Very cozy little outhouse/room. Very clean and all the amenities thoughtfully laid out. Bathroom can get a little cold so might be a good idea to bring slippers. Host was easily contactable. Great stay overall. Thanks =)

  • This property is completely detached. Being an annex, one might expect it to be attached or have a party door to the main dwelling, so it may be useful to know with this property you are completely separate from the house and have total privacy. The host welcomed me, and was so pleasant to meet and chat, but after that they left you alone to your privacy. Most importantly it was spotlessly clean and everything you could ask for (plus more) was there. Spot on!

  • Lovely little Annex in Chelmsford, this is a rare find and fairly close to the city centre. You won’t find anything else in This price bracket that offers the same level of hospitality and privacy. The place was spotless and had all the amenities you could wish for in a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this as a option for travellers. It also offers your own entrance and parking space which is very useful. Really can’t go wrong 👍👍 many thanks, will defiantly consider it again in the future.

  • Fantastic spot, cosy but also airy and surprisingly spacious. Ross was a great communicative host.

  • Fab little place great for 4 people

    Harriett2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ross's place was very cosy and had everything we needed. The property is very close to a road but was very quiet and comfortable. The bedroom doesn't have a door which could be a bit awkward if you have someone else staying in the sitting room. We would definitely stay here again.

    Fleur2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • You will find Ross to be very welcoming and accommodating! His place is well presented with a definite home away from home feel. Nothing seems too much to ask of this young man.

  • We only stayed here for 1 night but it was great and could easily stay here longer if required to use again! Entry details easy to follow and the house was very clean. Great price and location!

The annexe is completely private during the evenings and weekends. Plenty of free off road parking, right in front of the annexe.
Set in 2 1/2 acres of semi-rural land. The main house is on-site, but far enough away for your stay to be private. The studio apartment has its own private entrance and own patio, with enough space to park two cars.

With a garden that runs down to the beach on the beautiful River Blackwater, this home is ideal for your family to escape and relax and enjoy being outdoors. The living areas and master bedroom are upstairs, and the house is designed with two balconies and large windows make the most of the spectacular panoramic views of the River Blackwater and the surrounding countryside. This is a peaceful and magical place, and we're certain you'll love it as much as we do.
This is a very quiet area and sound travels very well, so we do not accept same sex groups and music and noise must be kept down. The garden is vast and has a wonderful array of hidden pathways for adults and children alike to explore. There's a mud kitchen and den for the little ones, and you'll have the beach (mainly shingle, but with enough sand to build sandcastles) to yourself most of the time. The River Blackwater is fantastic for sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming. It is a tidal river so we recommend that you check the tides and take appropraite precautions, but if you do you'll have an amazing time. We ask that guests remove their outdoor footwear whilst in the house, and as such a pair of slippers may make you more comfortable while you're here in spring, autumn or winter. A pair of wellingtons is well recommended - even in summer, as it allows you to explore the inter-tidal flats at low tide and go looking for oysters, shipwrecks, crabs and starfish. Hazards: The road to the house is unmade and can get some potholes, so please drive carefully. There is a very small pond in the garden.
The house and the surrounding countryside and river are beautiful and we often don't get in the car for weeks when we're here. The surrounding area, such as the beautiful historic town of Maldon or the remote St. Peters on the Wall chapel. Marconi and Stone sailing clubs are close by, and the yachting centre of Burnham on Crouch is 30 mins drive away. However, after a few days you'll likely find yourself simply enjoying being here. There is nowhere better in the world than sat with a book and a pair of binoculars watching the sea and the sky change. It's absolutely mesmerising and it's never the same twice. If you're patient (and lucky) you may spot seals in the river, hunting for food on the incoming tide. We occasionally see Barn Owls from the house, there are Marsh Harriers nesting locally, we have a resident Kestrel who hunts in the garden and cuckoos and woodpeckers are regularly seen. We have a pair of partridges, a few pheasants, some rabbits and a fox who are daily visitors as well.

  • Was a lovely space in a lovely area, would definitely visit again

  • Campion lodge is absolutely fabulous. When we arrived it was quite dark but the lodge was all lit up with Christmas decorations and the heating was on so it was cosy and inviting. We stayed for a long weekend and were lucky enough to experience a lot of snow, the view from the lodge was fantastic. The hot tub was well maintained and added a real wow factor. The lodge is well equipped with everything you need to make a meal, and a welcome hamper of wine, milk and biscuits was provided. Nice touch. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom huge! Campion Lodge is one of five lodges all in a row but it still felt very private and there was no noise from the other lodges, although I’m sure they used the Bose sound system as much as we did :) We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lodge to friends and are already planning our next visit. Our dog was the saddest of all leaving this lovely place.

  • This barn bedroom really is a piece of five star heaven for lovers of privacy in calm surroundings. Everything works and everything is finished to a very good specification. You are pretty much on your own here with a loo and shower so close they are almost en-suite. Alison has laid on tea and coffee so you can relax and watch the horse in the paddock and the birds wheel around the sky. I slept like a God, it's wonderfully dark here, the only sound the rumble of the swimming pool below. It made me feel like I was aboard ship and lulled me to sleep without the pitch and roll associated with seafaring. There are kids swimming lessons in the early evening but all is tranquil once more after 7pm. Parking is straightforward and the directions from host Alison were easy to follow. Next time I am in the area I shall keep an eye out for this one!
