We only met Marjolein the day after our arrival, she has been confidente enough to us installe on our own. Marjolein had left some very helpful indication for us to accommodate, it was well organized. We also had the chance to be here during a musical event which was beautiful to listen from the house front! I will surely go back !

A lovely week for two families and a dog. Huge garden and a lot of space in the house for good meals and relaxing. We enjoyed the nice beds, comfy living area and the garden. It had all we needed to prepare meals and enjoy the summer. What we missed was a better grill and a gas grill.

The house is huge and very well equipped in terms of electronics, comfortable sofas and some games. Everybody who is looking for silence will enjoy staying there. Unfortunately, Marcel's housemaid expected us a day later which means that she wasnt finished with her stuff but was still flexibel, nice even though we had to help a bit :) Overall a nice stay and I can recommend staying there.

De groepsruimte is een mooi extraatje en ideaal voor yoga of andere activiteiten. Marcel, de eigenaar, heeft ons buitengewoon gastvrij ontvangen. Nou ja, eigenlijk kon het niet beter voor ons.....

Fedde2017-01-22T00:00:00ZWe hebben van tevoren duidelijk gevraagd naar de eigenschappen van het huis en hebben echt uitgekeken naar een aantal dagen rust met alle gewenste comfort. De prijs was fors maar we waren dan ook bereid te betalen voor de luxe. Helaas was het verblijf niet in lijn met onze verwachting. Voornaamste punt is dat in de omschrijving staat dat het huis 4 slaapkamers heeft met 2 persoonsbedden. 2 van de 4 kamers waren echter leeg en slechts voorzien van een matras op de grond. Geen gordijnen, kasten of andere inrichting dus voor zowel praktische aspecten als enige warmte of gezelligheid. Vanzelfsprekend waren we heel onaangenaam verrast en teleurgesteld. Het voorgenomen verblijf van 4 nachten is voor 2 stellen beperkt gebleven tot 1 nacht. Het verblijf is daardoor nog kostbaarder geworden en we houden hier een heel slecht gevoel aan over. De verhuurder bleek slecht bereikbaar maar is ons uiteindelijk enigszins tegemoet gekomen. De tegemoetkoming was echter niet dusdanig -niet eens de verblijfkosten kosten van 1 nacht- dat ons slechte gevoel kon worden weggenomen. Het was net genoeg om deze recensie meer dan 1 ster te geven, weliswaar naar boven afgerond.

De omgeving is echt fantastisch met eengroet meer met ganzen en eenden en herten in de tuin - na wakker te zijn geworden met sneeuw buiten wilden we bijna niet meer weggaan. Super gedaan !

Er is door ons veel gebruik gemaakt van de sauna en de filmkamer met top geluid, ideaal! :) Alleen was de keuken minder schoon dan gehoopt, maar wij vonden ons bezoek met een groep van 8 pers. + 2 babies zeker de moeite waard.

Wij hebben met zijn vieren (2 volwassenen/2 tieners) gebruik gemaakt van het chalet van Gretha. Het was onze uitvalsbasis tijdens een toernooi van onze zoon in Assen. Het park is eenvoudig en was rustig in april. Voor ons was dat prima. Het chalet is ruim, prima voorzieningen, netjes en zuiver. Aan alles is gedacht, een goed gevulde keuken, fijne bedden, zachte handdoeken, films en spelletjes in de woonkamer. Prima wifi (niet onbelangrijk met twee tieners). En iets lekkers in de koelkast was een extra 'warm' welkom. In de omgeving is super veel te doen, dus je hoeft je geen moment te vervelen. Voor ons is het chalet een aanrader, we komen graag terug. Bedankt!

Zelfs onze late aankomst (1.30am) was geen enkel probleem. Het huisje was groot genoeg voor ons en onze twee kinderen. We raden iedereen deze locatie en dit verblijf aan. She is a warm and lovely woman who is always up for a chat, but who also gives her guests their privacy. The room is spacious and light, with a good twin bed, two armchairs, a television set, radio, music player. Anita had left a bottle of wine and a bottle of water in the room for us. In addition we could make our own coffee and tea. Anita gave us a luxurious breakfast with a choice of hot buns, croissants, muesli, eggs and fruit. The breakfast table has wonderful country views. We only stayed for the one night, but guests who'd like to explore the beautiful Drenthe countryside can borrow Anita's bikes. We were sorry to leave and I'm sure we'll be back.

Dorine made me stay at her idyllic house for three weeks. Most important to say is that I felt very welcome, safe and cosy. The room is nicely decorated and offers everything you need for a short or also long stay. The small kitchen in the aisle is fully functional. I cooked my dinner every night and had absolutely no problem. The day I arrived Dorine had prepared a few groceries for me (bread, cheese, ham and milk) for my first night in. The bathroom is old but gold. Everything was very clean and Dorine made sure the whole first floor was cleaned up minimum once a week when I wished so. There were also fresh towels or bedlinen in the closet for me to change whenever I wanted to. The garden offers furniture to spend some time outside and enjoy the Dutch weather ;) There is also plenty of space to park a car. Gasselternijveen is quiet and safe, but very near to busier areas too. You don't rent a room, you actually rent a fully functional and very clean and cosy flat with garden and parking space. That for the accomodation at Dorines house is low-priced. Thank you Dorine for the wonderful stay, for your recommendations and tea time :)

We quickly got used to handling the gas oven and climbing the stairs up to the appartment. The village Gasselternijveen is quiet with pretty houses surrounded by nature, a windmill is close. The next supermarket is some miles away so we were glad to have our car. The appartment is perfect for a short, relaxing getaway from the everyday hectic and stress. Thanks for the wonderful respite in Eext during our temporary stay in December before our final move to Haren. The host provided a clean and festively decorated house for the holidays. The bungalow was warm and cozy and the area was indeed very rustic, with lots of privacy provided by surrounding trees and greens. It was a delight to hear the wind every night and even see sheep in the field behind the house. This is a perfect get-away from the busier environs of the city. Highly recommended!

It feels like you are outside when you are inside. There are miles (kilometeres!) of cycled paths locally. The cycling is flat and easy going for those who like exercise but not grueling hills. My daughter and I cycled for hours every day through the forests and visited a lake with a sandy beach. Around the property are lovely touches: little bird houses, lavender, arts and crafts and outdoor seating and eating. Inside the property the open plan dining, kitchen and sitting room is conducive to socialising and relaxing together. The bathroom/wet room is lovely: the shower is powerful and hot water abundant. The bedrooms are small but charming. The owner has thoughtfully supplied a few things in the kitchen a bathroom. This is a lovely touch and makes one feel at home. There are lots of towels, tea towels, etc and the beds are made up and ready for you to sleep. There is a toasty gas fire. We lit this in the evening, played games and watch one of the many films Paulien has made available for her guests. We arrived to Easter eggs, flowers and a bottle of wine to welcome us. I can't recommend this property enough. We loved it.

We hebben elke avond in het huisje gekookt, wat erg goed ging op de 6-pitter + grote oven. Wat ons ook zeer blij maakte was het eigen terras en de grote tuin waar wij ook gebruik van mochten maken.

Ik heb één nacht samen met mijn echtgenote bij Inge gelogeerd in het huisje onder de Appelboom. En een appelboom was het er lagen tientallen appels te wachten om geraapt te worden. Het huisje onder de Appelboom is gezellig ingericht en nodigt echt uit voor een langer verblijf in het landelijke Drenthe. Het ontbijt was rijk en smaakvol, al met al een plek om terug te keren.

Ik ben dus niet zelf in het chalet geweest, maar mijn collega was erg tevreden over de voorzieningen. Bovendien verliep mijn contact met Renate erg vlot en duidelijk; er konden snel en flexibel afspraken worden gemaakt. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

M.2016-05-23T00:00:00ZLoveley redecorated caravan! A good place to stay if you like a quiet rural atmosphere, with ducks and chickens right outside your door. Both the caravan and the seperate (private) bathroom are well kept, clean and full of comfort. We did only see Piter and Carin once each, but they were kind and hospitable.

Daar heeft deze pipowagen aan beantwoord! De communicatie vooraf en tijdens ons verblijf was erg vriendelijk en open. De pipowagen is van alle gemakken voorzien; we hebben niks gemist. Ideaal om even afstand te doen van een regulier en hectisch leven. Dank voor de gastvrijheid Piter!
Trinke2017-03-26T00:00:00ZDe pipowagen van Piter en Carin is heerlijk om samen knus in te vertoeven. We werden gastvrij onthaald en er waren zelfs verse kippen- en eendeneieren! De wagen is van alle gemakken voorzien, leuk ingericht en schoon. De ligging op de Hondsrug, nabij de Drentsche Aa en vlakbij een aantal mooie hunebedden maakt dat er genoeg te doen is in de omgeving. Maar ook in en om de pipowagen is het heerlijk tot rust komen.

Bloemetjes in een vaasje, soundbar voor streamen van je eigen muziek, een paar mooie films heerlijk bed (160) met dik fris wit dekbed, naast een prima verwarming/airco ook een leuk houtkacheltje sfeervolle inrichting, met uitzicht over veld en beemd en kippen- en eendenhok enz enz enz En alle denkbare extras (fietsen, wijn, bier, eten) zijn mogelijk.
