Places to stay in Grantsville
The Homecoming Loft is located in a quiet Appalachian town in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Guests are welcome to relax in The Loft or outdoors in our spacious yard and gazebo with an outdoor fireplace.
The Homecoming Loft was designed as a place for our twelve children and a growing number of grandchildren to stay when coming back home. We are delighted to share this space with friends. The Loft is on the second floor above a detached garage, accessible by an outdoor stairway, and includes a kitchenette, living room, three bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower.
The Homecoming Loft, just 5 miles off of I-68 and 9 miles from Mt Davis, the highest point in PA, with miles of hiking within Mt Davis Natural Area and Forbes State Forest. The town's tennis courts and ballpark, Tina's Cafe and Hometown Pizza are all a 5-minute walk along a quiet street. A 30-40 minute drive will take you to the area ski resorts, The Wisp, Seven Springs, and Hidden Valley. Laurel State Park, New Germany State Park, as well as other natural areas, are all a short drive away. The Meyersdale trailhead on the Great Allegheny Passage walking and biking trail is 12 miles away. The Loft is 20 miles from Frostburg State University.

  • Great place! Very comfortable. Wonderful hosts!

  • The Homecoming Loft was perfect for my transit through the area. I booked on short notice (day of) and was happy to find an economical place that was pet friendly for me and my dog. All was as described. My personal experience of the hosts was by fleeting chance as we passed each other in the driveway but they had left thoughtful welcome notes in the loft that anticipated and addressed any questions one might have. Check in, kitchenette, WiFi, smart TV, bed were all great. Giant yard was nice for my dog. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and recommend to any passing through the I-68 corridor.

  • Excellent. Very spacious with 3 distinct bedrooms. Nice touches like fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice. Big thirsty towels were nice. thought there was only a smart tv with Amazon but lots of other free choices. Can't wait to come back if they will have us! Very responsive with some issues that really were just us not knowing stuff. Jewel was a delight!

My studio apartment developed for, but not limited to, creative confinement.
This is a one room private studio apartment with a private bath.
This is on the second floor of a 1920-built home on historic main street Frostburg, two blocks from restaurants/shops.
  • Clean place. Beautiful area. Quaint and quiet near the great outdoors.

    Jennifer2020-05-02T00:00:00Z

Enter through the basement entrance into a kitchenette, includes several appliances, shelving and table. Close the curtains to your private queen bed. Close to I-68, and FSU, not too far from GAP. Also in the basement is a private half bath, washer, dryer, and NOW a standing shower! Your private room also host a closet, dresser and desk.
Frostburg has charm. My space is simple. A place to rest along a trip (by car or bike). No real bells or whistles, but clean, safe and out of the elements. I am super happy to now have a shower in the basement for guest to have all their needs on one level.
Small town, close to main street for community events, and far enough away to be peaceful.
  • Very clean and quiet!

  • Heather is a very nice host! She seemed very genuine and was as accommodating as could be. The space is definitely under construction, but is very spacious, has nice amenities, and can shape up to be quite a nice guest suite! Had a good stay!

    Dylan2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Heather’s to treat ourselves to a non-camping night while doing a multi-day GAP ride. We lucked out and found her place last minute in a pinch when we couldn’t find anything in Cumberland. Heather and her family are warm and welcoming and even offered us pie! While not luxurious, or in the realm of a “treat yo self” stay, it definitely served its purpose with providing a warm place to stay with beds and a hot shower! We were super happy to have stayed here and would do it again to break up the camping streak when bike packing. I’d say our least favorite part was getting OFF the trail and back. Frostburg is much hillier than we hoped after a long day of riding.

This newly renovated apartment is situated in Rockwood's town center. It has a kitchen to please any chef and the perfect layout to relax and unwind. You may be in town from biking the Great Allegheny Passageway, Skiing at Seven Springs/Hidden Valley, Touring Flight 93, or maybe just to visit family. We can't wait for you to stay here!
Walk in and enjoy all the amenities this beautiful place has to offer! So much thought has gone into the renovation of this apartment, down to the local Amish Wood used as trim and shelving.
Rockwood is a wonderful place to stay as it is located right off of the Great Allegheny Passageway, 12 miles from Seven Springs, 11 miles from Hidden Valley, 16 miles from the flight 93 memorial, 6-8 miles from 3 of our Pennsylvania State Parks, as well as locally right in the center of all of Rockwood's businesses.
  • Hailey’s place was beautiful and fresh. Highly recommended when exploring the area nearby.

    Matt2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous place!! The kitchen is wonderful and well-stocked. The bedroom gets perfectly dark for sleeping and it’s very quiet. We enjoyed a peaceful and restful night in after a long day on the bike trail. Thanks, Hailey!

    Maggie2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The space was really cute and comfy. It was about 20 minutes from Seven Springs where we skied and there are a couple of cafés and a market close by. I would say the only thing to watch out for is the tiny couch. If you are planning on having more than two people there isn’t really space to sit in the living room.

    Pam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great two bedroom apartment. Gorgeous decor and kitchen. We enjoyed cooking dinner in this space. Our only complaints was being able to hear the next door neighbors dog early in the morning and not the most comfortable couch. Other than that - great value and would recommend.

    Jodi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It as beautiful as it is in the photos and we had a wonderful stay at Hailey’s place!

  • This was our second time staying here, and we absolutely love it! It is the perfect location for a ski weekend at Wisp. The room is full of thoughtful touches making it a cozy atmosphere.

    Alexa Lauren2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was adorable! It was the perfect quiet getaway from a busy ski weekend and the snow made it extra magical. We took some tips from the guest book and went to see glass blowing and cheese being made, which were very unique! My husband LOVED meeting Sully and almost wanted to take him home with us! The cottage was super clean and well organized and the perfect amount of space for two

The Anonymous Bunk is a Hostel style Bunk. Perfect for cyclists biking the GAP! **Each bed is $25. It is $100 to rent the entire room**
Conveniently located 15 minutes off I-68 and 20 minutes off the PA Turnpike exit in Somerset, Morguen Toole Company is nestled in the quaint, historic town of Meyersdale PA. The area has loads of great adventures within a short drive of our building. Falling Waters, Kentuck Knob, Flight 93, Mt Davis, The Miners Museum and Deer Valley YMCA are great sites to see. We also sit perfectly between three ski resorts, two casinos and thousands of acres of state game lands that are perfect for cross country skiing and hiking. Shuttle services (for a fee) available with advance notice. A short 30-40 minute drive from 7 Springs, Wisp @ Deep Creek Lake and Hidden Valley Ski resorts and just a few blocks from the Meyersdale GAP Bicycle Trail, we boast the perfect location for a quick getaway from DC, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Live a little and come join the party at MTC!
  • Very clean rooms and bathroom. You potentially will share the small bunk room with three other people, if that bothers you there are private rooms available. To find the door with the key code it is opposite the side of the building that has the outside seating area and there is a parking area behind the building on that side as well. Airbnb needs to take a page from the airlines that were forced to advertise the final price. a $20.00 room becomes $40.00 after fees and taxes. they should show the all in price upfront, this isn't a commentary on hosts but Airbnb.

    Peter2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was so good that I spent another night here as I was biking through the GAP trail.

    David2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! The proprietors were very accommodating and the place was very clean. Definitely would stay again if I happen to travel through!

    David2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • A shared bunk in a hotel. It is a cost effective way if you are just passing through for the night. Important info first. There is a bar and restaurant in the building. (Pro tip: They have great BBQ on Saturdays) The check-in is not quite as simple as my prior AirB&B experiences, but it wasn’t hard. As with most hosts, Morguen Toole Co. (MTC) will send you the instructions and a cipher-lock code for the office door. T-Mobile doesn’t have great service in the area, so the email didn’t get to me until after I logged into WiFi at Sheetz gas station. (Across the street) The room for your Hostel experience is called “Anonymous Bunk” which has 2 bunks. (4 beds) The converted industrial location is a bit of a maze inside but, if you know to look for Anonymous Bunk, it isn’t difficult. I arrived very late so the office didn’t have a person on hand; however, they were responsive to my email requests and available on request. I’d love to stay at Morguen Toole Co. again. On Saturday. For the BBQ.

    Philip2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Morguen Toole is a rare find, great for cyclist riding the Great Allegheny Passage. My wife and I stayed in the anonymous bunk room and we were the only two there. Plenty of room and they even have Keurig coffee for early morning risers. Great stay and look forward to booking with Morguen Toole again!

    Stefan2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic. Loved it. Friendly people. Good food. Hot water.

    Justin2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here on our bike tour from Pittsburgh to DC. Even though we had some issues with the Airbnb app, our hosts (Jeremy and his wife) were super accommodating with method of payment and with our stay in the room even though we entered the wrong room. Communication was great -- they greeted us and showed us the hotel when we arrived and followed up after we left. There was a garage to store our bikes from the rain and the room we stayed in was very cute and had some nice modern touches (e.g., heater that looks like an antique record player). Everything was clean and it made our stay very comfortable. Location was also great and 1 block away from our favorite Meyersdale diner GI Dayroom Coffee Shop.

    Wonju2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hey this is a very cool space. It’s very cozy, spacious, and perfect for a couple or small family. It’s kid friendly and just overall a nice place to stay. I’ve read other reviews and here’s what I can confirm or deny: The pool table does slightly lean to the middle but doesn’t hinder a decent game from being played. There’s was only one pool stick but we had fun. The TV is an older model and doesn’t have HDMI inputs. There is a VHS/DVD player and the DirecTV was great. We watched movies and football which was spot on. Bathroom is a small bathroom with a standard stand up shower. I’m 6’0” 215 and felt slightly cramped but my fiancé is 5’4” and had plenty space. The lighting in the bathroom is a bit low but works. Bed felt more like a full size bed but worked for us. The floor heating cricks and cracks all night so if you’re a sensitive sleeper that might be a thing but we adjusted. Ceiling crocks and cracks a bit too but I think it’s all from the heating/HVAC system. Stanton is like 10 miles/15 minutes from most of the Deep Creek activities but still close to a ton of options. Overall this is the nitpicking stuff, the space is great. Bev is a great host and we’d definitely stay there again.

  • This is a really interesting grand old hotel in the process of being restored, with a glorious lobby and pleasant porches! The attached bar / restaurant is fine and hospitable. The room itself was small; but the location of the hotel is great. I would certainly stay here again.

  • Super cool historic hotel in a tiny little community. Cool restaurants around (including in the hotel!) the town was small but the people were friendly and the hotel was the perfect place to stay. We stayed when we went skiing down at Wisp resort but would come back again in the fall/summer to check out some of the near by historic sites and hiking.

  • Amazing place!

    Micah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great experience here. Our favorite part was the rushing creek right next to where we were. You can hear it when you’re inside the yurt. We also got a nice treat of a little snow before we left which was beautiful. It was in the low 30s at night, but we had just the two smaller heaters going, and it was comfortable. Jason was very responsive. Anything you could need was right there. We got to have a fire, and there was a refrigerator, toaster oven, hot plate, and toaster all there if we needed. Overall it was a great experience and super cool!!

    Gabrielle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s space was perfect for a weekend getaway! The yurt was cozy + well stocked with everything we needed, including local coffee :) The stream behind the yurt was an amazing sound to fall asleep to. And the little outdoor kitchenette was perfect for a quick breakfast. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh air, space to breathe, and a relaxing stay. We hope to visit the yurt again!

  • I’m at a loss for words on how excellent an experience this was. Words like magical, whimsical, rejuvenating, fantastic, and healing come to mind but don’t quite capture the joy we had at the Yorkie Acres Farm yurt! The yurt is incredibly comfortable, beautiful, and has all the amenities you might need. The little touches like delicious lavender tea and the cute netting draped over the bed make it feel luxurious while the yurt itself still has a rustic feel to it. The river behind the yurt lulled us to sleep. We slept perfectly and woke up well rested and excited to see the farm. Jason and Alea and the farm are as inviting as could be. The landscape is like a Scottish or Irish countryside with all the expected features and beauty. The animals are unique and personable and full of spirit. We spent our morning getting to know their little personalities and peculiarities. Jason gave us the full recommendation for sightseeing and food and experiences in the area. We highly recommend you reach out for those recs before you arrive as there is delicious food, wine, and world class goat cheese just to the south of the farm. We will certainly be back soon to take full advantage of the area and spend some more excellent evenings and mornings in the yurt!

    Dylan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow wow wow. I surprised my boyfriend with a Valentine’s Day/weekend trip to this yurt and it turned out to be the best weekend. I was a little worried about going in the winter and it turned out we went on the coldest night of the season, but it was still an amazing time—the yurt gets warm and the bed even toastier. When we woke up, we were greeted by lots of farm birds and goats who kept us company as we cooked breakfast in the out door kitchenette (which has so many supplies!). Jason gave us a tour of the barn, which was magical and such a great venue space. We later went on a hike near by and did a wine tasting at the local winery. We were even able to cook our dinner over the fire that night (even though there were multiple methods of cooking in the kitchenette). Every moment of this trip was perfect, all of the effort the hosts put into keeping the yurt comfortable and fun really elevated our weekend trip from a trip to a getaway. Soooo excited to go back

    Hagere2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. The yurt was comfortable and cozy, and there were so many amazing animals on the vicinity of the property! An amazing getaway weekend. Jason and his family were wonderful hosts.

    Andrew2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A relaxing and rejuvenating experience. If you’re looking at this yurt and wondering if you should go visit? DO IT. It is located on a beautiful farm with a lovely stream and adorable animals. We felt like Disney princesses as the birds came running to us in the morning and followed us around for the rest of the day. The yurt is spacious and very warm and stocked with every and anything you might need! We had an amazing stay.

    Chikondi2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a find! The yurt is exactly the magical experience it looks like in the pictures. As someone who isn't a camper, this was the perfect balance for my outdoorsy boyfriend and me. If you love animals, PLEASE VISIT! The Highland cows, the Highland sheep, the sweet goats, the chickens, the guinea fowl, and the duck!

Minutes from Wisp Ski Resort & Deep Creek Lake! Come as you are & take a seat at nature’s table under the canopy of stars. Embrace the wooded ambiance and meadow views from the Board Room & living space. Located between I-68 and Deep Creek Lake/Wisp. Our hope is to provide a serene landscape where you can find peace and rest through nature. Our setup works well for business travelers & as an escape to nature in lieu of hotels!
The Board Room is a new ground level, garden flat. It is a 2 Bedroom/1 Bath suite, with a private exterior entrance and parking for 2 to 3 cars. The 2nd bedroom is next to the Living Room with curtains providing privacy from the Living Room. While it is part of our home, it is soundproofed to where normal conversations cannot be heard. You may be able to hear some footsteps. It has central heat and air conditioning. The Board Room parking is to the left of the house and is shared with the Butterfly Suite – our other guest space which sleeps 6. The Board Room entrance is located on the backside of the house from the main entrance. To access the entrance, you will need to walk past the garden & grass yard to the back exterior of the house. We are enchantedly hidden at the end of a 700’ lane through a carpeted forest of ferns. There is a small table outside the back door that is a great location to have your morning coffee and watch the sun rise and the deer graze in the meadow! The flat overlooks a 60-acre former strawberry farm where deer and wild turkeys are frequent guests. Feel free to gander at our resident chickens and take a leisurely walk/hike through the woods and our property. Take a seat and enjoy the stars in their nightly splendor while sitting around the firepit. In the summer air you can hear the music of cicadas and crickets strumming their wings and spring peepers in the moonlight. This is one of my favorites! Although this is newly constructed there is plenty of age & history. Most of the stone used on the premises are from the farm. Some of the hand cut stones used in the landscaping were from the foundation of a (1800’s) school that Ken’s grandfather attended. The headboard of the bed was constructed by Ken & Cheryl from some 140 year-old barn boards. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom with a tub/shower is across the hall from the bedroom. The kitchenette consists of: a refrigerator, toaster oven, waffle maker, single burner induction cooktop, a microwave, electric kettle, drip coffee maker, and a Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen is also equipped with a crockpot, cooking and eating utensils, sugar, salt, basic spices, assorted teas, a few K-Cups, etc. This is a perfect yet affordable location for a peaceful retreat in the country or for a family ski/lake weekend. It also works great for a business traveler looking for a home away from home. We are located near a state forest which makes this a convenient location for hunters. There is a streaming TV in the Living Room. Free Wireless Internet is available. It is provided by Neubeam (5 MBPS) and will permit some streaming. It is possible to use VPN connections if you must check in for business while on your vacation. We have been told that Comcast will be available here later in the year and at that time we intend to upgrade our internet. To make the stay of our guests with allergies more pleasant, this is a NO SMOKING and NO PET property.
Ken’s place is located in Accident, Maryland, United States. Foxtown Road is a scenic country road with very light traffic. It is favored by many bike enthusiasts and runners. The Garrett County Gran Fondo 100+ mile bike race is marked by the end of our driveway as do other bike races. We are situated at the edge of the former Country Acres Strawberry Farm where Ken grew up and was part owner. Ken’s mother owns a cabin a few hundred yards away that sleeps 12 so extended family and friends can stay nearby but retire in their own private space. There is a mowed grassy walking path on the outside perimeters of our property that extend to her pond. (On most occasions she has approved walking excursions, but with taking her guests into consideration). The closest grocery store is 5 miles. Closest fast food is Brenneman's Store - 3 1/2 miles - Pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, soft freeze ice cream, etc.-very reasonable prices. Coffee Shop: Canoe on the Run - 6 miles. Bakery: The Rolling Pin located in Accident - 5 miles. Our favorite local restaurants are: Mountain State Brewery, Deep Creek Seafood, Pizzeria Uno, Green Turtle. Movie Theater: Garrett 8 Cinemas - 9 miles. Deep Creek Lake: 6 Miles Wisp Ski Resort: 7 miles Garrett College - 5 miles ASCI Whitewater Course 7 mile Upper Yough River-whitewater rafting 10 miles Swallow Falls State Park: 14 miles New Germany State Park: 13 Miles Shop-N-Save: 5 miles Walmart Super Center: 17 miles Amish Community: 20 miles
  • Ken's place was exactly like the photos... Beautiful, roomy, restful and immaculate! We would definitely recommend anyone to come stay here if they are in need of peace and quiet. It's also very close to hiking trails at Deep Creek Lake.

  • This is a magical space. Plenty of room for a family of up to six to stay very comfortably. We enjoyed the full-sized fridge and ping-pong table. The peace of the countryside and the chickens was a great plus. We would stay here again!

  • Ken's place is great! The space is huge, way bigger than we expected! They have it decorated perfectly! The floors are amazing, they seemed to be heated. The location was great as well, we went to the wisps resort and to the waterfalls nearby. The location is close to everything. They even have fresh bread and jelly waiting for you that's delicious! We would definitely recommend this place!

  • Our family of 5 absolutely LOVED our stay. We have 3 active boys and they played ping pong for hours. They forgot the reason for our visit was to ski at Wisp. Everyone had space. While the kids played ping pong, my husband and I watched a movie on Netflix. We had plenty of room and the location was just perfect. Very close to Wisp and just far enough to feel the privacy as if we lived here. My family can all agree that we want to come back!

This wonderful peaceful private cottage is located on the Savage River. This river offer's world class fly fishing. Fire pit, and pavilion with picnic table located on the ground for your private use! Screened back porch makes perfect evenings. This remote cottage is generally left in the condition of the previous guests so please be respectful during your stay and leave the cottage like you found it, or better. Keeps $ down!
  • Great little ‘glamping’ spot! Loved not having cell service and WiFi, it was great to disconnect and hike and enjoy the outdoors. FYI no corkscrew, but other than that kitchen had more than enough to make some delicious meals. Really enjoyed our stay

    Megan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage was just as described and a great place for a long weekend. Take your own bedding & towels, baking sheet/pans if you plan to use the oven and extra coffee cups (if more than 2 needed). Otherwise we found the kitchen supplies adequate. There was a box fan provided but we didnt need it as the temps dropped for perfect sleeping weather. Some basic items left from prior visitors (e.g. three containers of lighter fluid, coffee filters, etc.). Property was wonderful! Open clearing with fire pit for stargazing and path to creek were awesome! Close to several state parks for hiking and OVR trails. Would definitely stay again if we're back in the area!

    Ashley2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the peace and quiet at the cabin. Each morning when we opened the door bunnies were just outside the door in the grass. We loved being able to hear the sound of the creek and the secluded area it was in. Wished we could’ve stayed longer!!!

    Tabatha2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. The location is just amazing - very private and a large piece of land with access to the river. We spent a lot of time walking down to the river and looking for crawfish. We even tried fly fishing although we didn't have any luck :) The Savage River Reservoir is right down the road, so we rented kayaks from the nearby convenience store and spent two days out on the water, where we caught perch and smallmouth, and saw a bald eagle flying low over the water. Deep Creek Lake was about 40 minutes away which was also great. Overall, we'll be back for the location alone! The cabin is small and has no AC so we stayed outside most of the time, and luckily it would cool down enough at night to sleep comfortably. There's a lot of wildlife here, we saw a doe and her fawn, a bobcat, a black bear, turkeys, and tons of rabbits. We had a very good time disconnecting and relaxing. Thanks for a great place!

    Adara2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice rustic cabin and has a lovely secluded location. We saw lots of lovely wildlife. Be sure to bring your own bedding and towels.

    Kim2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Tina & Bob's. We went with friends as well as our dog, and we loved the large yard (perfect for stargazing at night!). We spent most of our time outside. The house was as written, nothing fancy, more like "glamping". We enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch as well.

    Catherine2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Went there with three friends definitely going to be back again maybe later on in the summer to do some kayaking again! Really nice and affordable place to stay!

    Dan2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin itself is one step up from tent camping, which is exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations, this isn't for you. However, the place is priced at a great value and the land the cabin sits on is just beautiful. We also visited the nearby reservoir which was beautiful as well. It was so nice to unplug (no cell service) for the weekend and enjoy nature with a warm place to sleep. We will definitely be back!

Rural retreat on a road less travelled. A rural, pet-friendly house with office and lake view. This hidden gem is surrounded by myriad outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and fishing. Internet and most amenities provided. Progressive discounts for longer stays.
This house was designed to be quaint, with all needs covered. It is best suited for a group of 4, although there is a pull out couch in a private room for 2 extra guests. The sectional couch and over-sized bean bag in the living room are also big enough for sleeping. The house is constantly updated with new furniture, towels and linens. The landscaping is a work in progress, and the deck gets re-stained every year. The kitchen includes all equipment most want, from a blender to cake pans--with the exception that the ice machine is not hooked up. Coolers are provided, including a cooler/table that sits on the deck. There is both a propane barbecue and campfire ring. The house is on a hillside and a recent modification added a less steep "winter driveway" with a remote parking area. Photos are included with the listing. The mountain blocks TV reception and most cell phone reception is sketchy. That said, all rooms have TVs with streaming capabilities and Netflix, plus there are external hard drives loaded with an extensive selection of movies for all age groups. The rates are intended to be affordable since our guests tend to take very good care of the house. This is a fully stocked vacation home, with high quality amenities. The goal is to make your stay special. In terms of fees, the only additional fee on my end is for pets (detailed below) and the cleaning fee that provides income to local high school students. I cover the 5% Somerset Hotel Tax and the rest of the fees are AirBnBs.
Very quiet area but easy access to nearby attractions. There are loads of festivals in the area, including the Addison Chainsaw Carving Festival in June and the Myersdale Maple Festival in March. It is half-way between Deep Creek and 7-Springs, but there is lake effect and best suited for the hearty during winter months.
  • Very clean, love the fact that the owner is all about dogs, way more amenities than expected, very nice place. Absolutely enjoyed my stay and the view is incredible. Pictures do not do justice!!! Audrey's hospitality was over the top fantastic. She was very very quick to respond and was soooo nice! Definitely would return!

  • A beautiful, cozy place to spend the weekend away from it all.

    Stephanie2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house is everything you need for a stay in this fantastic area of Pennsylvania. Everything is so well stocked in the bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms. Although we bought towels and toiletries we really needn't have bothered as there were plenty. The house is very up to date and comfortable. Appliances in the kitchen are new and modern and there are so many dishes, gadgets and cooking equipment, making huge meals for a large family was a breeze! We even baked banana bread as there were loaf tins and ingredients to help out! The beds were comfortable and having access to Netflix etc was a bonus, as we were housebound one day, due to icy roads. The hiking in this area is superb and there are so many other attractions that are also fairly close by. The house has maps, leaflets and local guidebooks making it easy to see what's around. Audrey is also very easy to communicate with too.

  • What a lovely home! First, easy communication with the host, they let me know everything I needed to basically before I even asked it. The house was spotless, and honestly prettier/roomier than the photos make it look! The house is small, but has a great layout and was perfect for a weekend with a few close friends. There were some awesome trails around the area including a trail that was a few min drive away, that took you to the highest natural point in PA which we thought was really cool! Everything was maintained well and worked well, firewood was stocked up for an outside fire. Beds were comfy!

Built in 1941 as Mountain Chevrolet Garage on the foundation of the former Confluence Hotel constructed in the late 1880s, our home is the perfect location for a night off the GAP trail or a day trip to Ohiopyle State Park or Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater (15 miles) and Kentucky Knob (13 miles). Second story apartment with river views that feels like a farmhouse and is situated on top of a warehouse. This guest room is one of two in our home. Managed by an artist couple.
This 1940s brick warehouse was a former autodealership and garage with two apartments above. The apartments were renovated into one 3200 sqft apartment in the 1990s by a previous owner. It feels like a farm house on top of a warehouse with picturesque views of the river, town, trees and mountains. The guest room is located in the west wing of this second story apartment facing the Casselman River, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the west side of Confluence. The full size mattress is on the medium firm/soft side. The Riverview Room is one of two guest rooms in the west wing that we have listed on AirBnB. The full bathroom in the apartment is shared with guests from the other room and is the main bathroom in our home. However, we do have our own bathroom located in the master suite. A half bath is located in the storefront, the room where we greet you on the street level. Please note: 1.) There is a 19-step staircase to access the apartment. 2.) We do not have central air conditioning. There are window and/or portable AC units in each bedroom. Room is equipped with clean sheets, hypoallergenic pillows (4) and comforter, ceiling fan, window air conditioning unit, white noise machine, extra blanket, kleenex, jar of filtered water and glasses, and ear plugs. Towels and washclothes are located in the shared bath. At the top of the stairs is a large sunroom -- perfect for relaxation, reading a book, eating a meal, savoring a cup of coffee or tea (provided). Other common areas include library, living room, kitchen, and dining room. We are a five minute bike ride (.8 of a mile) from the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail in Confluence, 26 minutes (15 miles) by car to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and 23 minutes (13 miles) to his later home, Kentuck Knob. Whitewater rafting, fly fishing, hiking, biking, and skiing are all close by.
Confluence is a small rural mountain town in SW Somerset County, Pennsylvania at the confluence of the Youghiogheny and Casselman rivers and the Laurel Hill creek. We are located two blocks from the town square which features Confluence Cyclery, a locally-owned hardware store, post office, two banks, produce store, and gas station/restuarant. A grocery store is five blocks away. Other restuarants are located a little further out -- The River's Edge Cafe is six blocks away on the west side of town accessible via a foot/bike bridge over the Casselman -- and Lucky Dog Cafe (.8 of a mile) near the GAP trail off of 281. Trains run along Latrobe Ave through the day and night. And the Confluence Volunteer Fire Department is a block away.
  • Suzanne and Pope were wonderful hosts. Their initiative in Confluence is admirable and we are excited to return and watch it grow. Lest I forget to mention the outdoor recreation—there is a lot of it between Ohiopyle and Fallingwater, but it’s even a treat just to sit and take in the rivers right in town. Comfortable bed and serene atmosphere. This stay has small town purity inside a culturally rich home.

  • I came to Confluence to get “off the grid”. To spend a couple days with my phone off; no ties to life, no obligations, and a bit of optimism to find a little peace with nature. I don’t know exactly what I was looking for, but I found a lot of it on this trip — due in no small part to this space and the people who run it. First things first, Pope and Suzanne are phenomenal hosts. Quick to communicate, and wholeheartedly committed to ensuring you have a good time. They’re transplants to the area themselves, so they know the ropes, they know their way around, and importantly, they know your perspective as a visitor. They estimated that 51% of their guests are in town for Fallingwater, and they’re deeply knowledgable about this, offering some great tips about other Frank Lloyd Wright interests in the area, as well as tips about some other parts of town I came to thoroughly enjoy. There was a lot to be said about serendipity on this trip — “the artist going off the grid” finding a space where the hosts happened to be true, lifetime artists, off the grid? Absolutely wild. Also, Giovanni, their dog, is remarkably adorable. A very good boy indeed. Second things second, the space itself! My lord! A 1940s car dealership converted to an arts space and a home. I might've paid admission to just take a tour, let alone to live there for a couple days. Pope and Suzanne encouraged me to play my acoustic guitar in the studio space — unbelievably, there’s no photo of this room on the listing (at the time of writing) — but it was a marvelous, open space that I’m grateful to have occupied. When the sun set over the river through the factory-style windows as I poorly played guitar lines unworthy of the space’s absolutely remarkable, natural acoustics… it was one of my favorite moments of my brief vacation. A note to musicians: maybe record a song here! The living areas that are meant to be shared are also truly first-rate, and I am similarly surprised there are no photos on the listing of these. The art hung on the walls is striking, and the furniture and decor are tastefully hip (I heard it’s been described similar to "quaint farmhouse meets New York loft”, which I’d hold very accurate). The bathroom was stocked with any and everything you might need, including handmade soaps from Oakland. Oh, and the kitchen? It was stocked as if the essentials were handpicked by gourmands -- everything from various oils (craft e.v.o.o. to sunflower), down to some very exceptional artisan, himalayan salt. When I saw this, I think I let out an audible “hot damn.” Not only is this an objectively perfect place to stay, you’re doing good by the community to stay here. Confluence (and the surrounding area) is bolstered by a significant amount of tourism income, and yet, there is very little arts space. By staying here, you’re helping fund a small business that seeks to inject the arts into Confluence, to provide residency programs, and also to establish an espresso shop and apothecary. But (most importantly, in my opinion), you’re helping to provide Confluence with a relevant gallery. When you stay at Tissue Farm, you’re helping the community — the local youth! — attain a local, relevant, and *accessible* arts space! It’s so important! This is one of the longer reviews I’ve typed out for an AirBnB, but without question, my stay at Tissue Farm was the best experience I’ve had on this platform. Whether you’re in the area for an outdoors excursion, or a few Frank Lloyd Wright tours, or just to get off the grid — it’d almost be foolish to stay anywhere else.

  • Such a lovely, historical home! Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Jenny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time I've stayed in an Air BNB and I didn't know what to expect. I knew it was a room in someone's home, and I knew the area that it was in, as I usually camp down the road. The price was more reasonable than most chain hotels I've stayed in nearby and the cleanliness was impeccable. There is character and charm in the Tissue Farm. The room was cozy and warm, eclectic art adorns the walls, organic soap and toiletries are provided in the bathroom, and a tasty breakfast of oatmeal with fresh pears and coffee was provided in the morning, and the hosts Suzanne and Pope were really cool and hospitable. They have a really cool vision of the future of the Tissue Farm which includes a coffee shop, art gallery, and maker space, as well as restoring a vintage RV trailer as another Air BNB room. I'm excited to stay at the Tissue Farm again on my next visit to the area!

  • We stayed here for a ski trip to seven springs and wisp. Leeanna's place was not only close to these ski areas but also was very cozy! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the coffee and snacks that she had left for us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends and family!

  • Great place for some R & R and not too bad of a drive to Ohiopyle, Flight 93 memorial, Mount Davis, and other spots in the area. Not a lot of local food options though. The apartment is GREAT! Nice common space, comfy beds, kitchen, everything you need. Would recommend!

    Craig2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Leeannas place was truly great. It was very clean and had the small touches to make you feel at home. She is so quick at communicating and was able to help accommodate with an early check in. I highly recommend her property!

  • Don’t be fooled by the basement, this place is stunning and huge!! Was not expecting such a giant spacious open place. It was super clean, beautiful, and really easy to check into. I didn’t get a chance to stay but one night because of a conference, but the bed was super comfy. I would not hesitate to book here again, the only downside was no stove. So take that into account if you’re staying for a few nights. I only stayed one night so it wasn’t an issue for me. Loved this place and hope to stay again- about a 20 minute drive to Seven Springs if you’re visiting!

Wish we could have more time to relax in private living room (great kitchenette, snacks, coffee etc and TV+board games) and explore the beautiful property). Her property is amazing and very big.

My friend and I had a wonderful time, with quick responses to questions and a cute place to base ourselves for breaks from the sun and to sleep. The fire pit was a big bonus for us, and the house is in a private area with a little creek to poke around in! We recommend it!

Entire separate private master suite at Deep Creek Lake, with private entrance- on unique 17 acre property at south-eastern tip of the lake. Easy 10 minute walk to the water and beautiful open neighborhood area, picnic tables, boat docks. Enjoy our canoe and kayak! Plenty of parking for any vehicles, trailers, RVs, boats welcome. 20 minute drive along the lake to get to Wisp Resort. Location is on an emergency snow route that is always cleared. 10 mins to Arrowhead 24hr Market/Grocery
This home was originally built in 1901! This portion is an addition but you will find a unique layout with wood walls that keeps us puzzled! Warm and inviting, you’ll never forget your stay here.
This area of Deep Creek Lake is quiet and fairly removed from the tourist feel. Only one neighbor visible, far enough away that they don’t care about noise at all so feel free to howl at the moon or play loud music! The house is only 10 minutes’ walk to the water or 10 mins to drive to Arrowhead Market (24 hr grocery store) for any supplies, or a few bars and restaurants. 12 mins to the lake’s public boat ramp, 20 min drive along the lake to Wisp resort.
  • This place is amazing! Drew, Karis and Kevin are some of the nicest people we have met and they were excellent hosts. We really appreciated the hospitality and their flexibility to get us booked quickly when our travel plans changed at the last minute. The trip was very relaxing and the location is perfect for a getaway at the lake. The space is extremely clean and spacious. We definitely plan to stay again any time we're visiting Deep Creek in the future.

  • This suite was perfect for a long weekend in Deep Creek! The location was close to hiking trails and restaurants and their property has a large fenced in yard with space to hang out and let my dog run. Drew and Kevin (and their dog Lupo!) were super responsive and hospitable. I’ll definitely be back!

  • This place exceeded all expectations! The kitschy style and spacious floor plan (the photos don't do it justice - the bedroom is huge) made for a great stay. The hosts were awesome and really made us feel like we were visiting friends. We will certainly be back! Oh, and there is a Nintendo 64. Enough said.

    Ed2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

It was the perfect space for us to spend our anniversary weekend and we look forward to coming back with our dog in tow. Thanks Kevin and Lupo, and Drew for sharing your space with us! We had an absolutely amazing time and can’t recommend this spot enough!

  • My husband and I spent 5 days in this charming cabin and everything was amazing! The owners - Drew and Kevin - made everything to guarantee that we could have a very pleasant experience. The place is really beautiful and comfortable. Drew sent us some great tips on places to visit and eat. His brother Kevin was the best host and his dog Lupo also helped us to feel like home! Everything was perfect! Thank you so much, guys! We loved our days at the Deep Creek area! Looking forward to come back!

  • Sadie was a wonderful, communicative host and the suite is even better than it is in the pictures! The suite was sparkling clean and had thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was an amazing little getaway in a beautiful part of the country and the weather was perfect this time of year. We would love to come back and stay again when we get the chance.

  • Sadie's home is very clean and adorable, in a quiet setting. It's a quick drive to beautiful hikes, incredible Deep Creek Lake, and some fun local spots to grab a drink. It was the perfect spot to use as home base for a relaxing weekend away.

    Jen2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We came to town for a wedding in the deep creek area and we couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay in Sadie’s guest house! Her driveway was well marked and we arrived in the dark so this was very helpful. The first thing we noticed were the adorable fall decorations and polite greetings from their sweet cat. The inside of the home is adorably decorated, it has an old farmhouse feel with a modern twist. There was even a personalized welcome message on the chalkboard. It was a great option for our young family, they have a play set in the backyard that our little ones enjoyed. Sadie was very accommodating and responsive throughout the whole process. Our only regret is that we couldn’t have stayed longer! If we ever come back to this area we will definitely stay here again. It was a great value. Also, I noticed a lot of the reviews mentioned that there was no service or WiFi, but there is WiFi now which was very helpful!

  • We spent our Christmas here and loved the spacious accommodations as well as having all the awesome comforts of home! We were able to go snowtubing and visit Swallow Falls State park both less than an hour away. We also enjoyed the walking distance to all the local hot spots. Great location and awesome host!

    Vivian2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay here, and everything was as good as or better than the first. The eggs, sausage, and pancake mix supplied a belly filling breakfast for one morning. There was oatmeal and other stuff for the second morning if we hadn't eaten out instead. The location is great and there are more beds than you can shake a stick at. Note that of the beds in the bunk room, only two are mattresses and the rest are air mattresses. It is both spacious and cozy, partly because of the nice lighting. There are no big fluorescent lights to turn on if you decide you need more light, but this was never a problem for us. It was fun to look at the huge hand drawn map on the whiteboard on the bottom of one of the beds and start to recognize my college campus--Penn State!

  • This place is awesome! A cute little apartment fully equipped with all the amenities on might need for your stay, from a full kitchen, to coffee, living area w/ TV, etc. It's situated right on the Frostburg campus, so it's perfectly located for day trips around Western MD, PA and WV. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming. It's also right up the road from Main Street where there are plenty of places to eat. Alicia was very friendly, hospitable and communicative throughput the stay. Highly recommended!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. And any questions I had? I msged Alicia and she quickly responded back. She was also flexible with our check-out time, an awesome host. Would definitely stay here again:).

  • Nice apartment, comfy bed and sofa. Nice kitchen but simple, no dishwasher and plates for 4 total. We had 4 adults and 2 slept in living room but 4 would fit in bedroom - would work well for family with younger kids.

The Yurt, situated at Rafferty Manor, built in 1918, located in Ohiopyle State Park, on the Youghiogheny, the rustic yurt was built circa 1920. The wood burner keeps the yurt warm on chilly evenings. It is in the perfect location for the outdoor enthusiast and architectual aficionados, between two Frank Lloyd Wright homes; Fallingwater (2.7 miles) and Kentuck Knob (1.7 miles). Managed by an artist, you will find all the amenities one would need to have a break from the outside world.
The yurt has two single beds, with box spring and mattress, linens and pillows. Hardwood floor throughout and open windows with screens. There is a wood burner for warming needs, plumbed with a flu-keeps the Yurt toasty. Lights in/out & a power strip for your charging needs. Shower and bathrooms are next door in the change house, which is shared with other outdoor enthusiasts. In colder months, when change house is closed, guests may use the main house for shower and bathroom. Keep in mind, this is a hard frame yurt experience, you are outdoors, in a yurt...not indoors of a house. There is no fridge, WiFi or AC, this is a yurt, outside!
Access to several eateries are within walking distance, the Pub next door has 25 craft beer on tap & the river is a stones throw away for swimming & boating. The evening scene is about river celebration and river/biking networking.
  • Quite possibly the best air bnb experience yet. Thank you! What an incredibly unique experience to add to our perfect GAP adventure.

    Jennifer2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Conrad and Ed were very friendly! Conrad answered any and all questions and was very generous. I was traveling alone and they helped me feel right at home. Would definitely stay again or recommend to others.

    Brooke2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Conrad was an amazing host for us while we stayed in the yurt during our GAP biking trip. He welcomed us in to his home and made sure we had everything we could have needed. He built us a fire, offered us food, coffee and water too! The yurt is incredibly cozy, comfortable, and clean. Such a unique fun experience! Thank you for being such a personable fun host!

    Caleb2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, unique and comfortable lodging, and an extremely hospitable host. You will love this place!

    Sheridan2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is wonderful!! It was a pleasure to stay in this unique space. There are so many thoughtful touches in the yurt (like the earplugs in the case-- honestly the trains passing through are not loud and even added to the ambiance of the stay!). The blankets kept me extremely cozy and warm throughout the night and the light inside was so calming. Listening to the rain come down on the roof while we had the fire going in the stove during a chilly March evening was an experience I'll carry with me every time I think back to my stay :)

    Lydia2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurt at Rafferty Manor was a great get-away for us. It was cozy and the wood burning stove kept us warm at night. The location is amazing - close to the Youghiogheny River and Ohiopyle State Park. We enjoyed hiking and spending time outdoors at during the days. The Falls City Pub is right next door and offers great food and a wide selection of beers. I highly recommend staying at Conrad's Yurt!

    Jamie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurt is a great place to stay in Ohiopyle. The living space is thoughtful and well furnished. Conrad was very welcoming, and goes out of his way to make sure that you have everything that you need during your stay. To top it all off, the location couldn't be better. The Yurt is located right by a number of trailheads, and is right by my favorite restaurant in town.

    Mike2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Conrad and Ed are the most awesome hosts. Their home is truly beautiful but the yurt is such a special place! This was our second time staying there and they blew our mind away again. Even in 10* night, the yurt stayed warm with the fire place and space heater. Conrad recommended a trail in Sugarloaf and it was exactly what we wanted. Their pets are so adorable as well. Thank you so much for everything!

Minutes from Wisp Ski Resort & Deep Creek Lake! Come as you are & take a seat at nature’s table under the canopy of stars. Embrace the wooded ambiance and meadow views from our 825 sq. ft suite as you melt your cares away in front of the fireplace. Located between I-68 and Deep Creek Lake/Wisp. Our hope is to provide a serene landscape where you can find peace and rest through nature. Our setup works well for business travelers & as a couple's romantic escape!
The Butterfly Suite is a brand new 2nd floor 825 SQ FT 1 Bedroom/1 Bath suite, with a private entrance with 17 steps. While it is attached to our home, it is soundproofed to where normal conversations cannot be heard. It has central heat and air conditioning, with an exterior entrance & parking for 2-3 cars. The suite parking and entrance is on a different side of the house from the main entrance. We are hidden at the end of a 700’ lane through a forest carpeted with ferns. The suite overlooks a 60-acre former strawberry farm where deer and wild turkeys are frequent guests. Feel free to gander at our resident chickens and take a leisurely walk/hike through the woods and the property. The fireplace mantel and window trim were constructed by Ken from 140-year-old barn-boards. The bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom with a tub/shower is attached to the bedroom. There is a day bed with a trundle in the Living Room. There is also a couch in the Living Room that is reasonably comfortable to sleep on. We have a rollaway bed stored in the laundry room that you may use if needed. A Pack-n-Play and a crib mattress are also available for small children. The suite has a full kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, microwave, drip coffee maker, and a Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen is also equipped with a crockpot, cooking and eating utensils, sugar, salt, basic spices, assorted teas, a few K-Cups, etc. The Kitchen/Living Room has a 10' vaulted ceiling with a gas fireplace. Warm yourself by the fire and relax after a day of skiing at the Wisp. This is a perfect location for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, a peaceful retreat in the country, or for a family ski weekend! It also works great for a business traveler looking for a home away from home. The 8’x8’ balcony is a great location to have your morning coffee and watch the sun rise and the deer graze in the meadow! There is a TV in the Living Room and the service is Dish. A DVD player and some assorted DVD movies are available for you to use. Free Wireless Internet is available. We recently upgraded from satellite to Neubeam which is better (5 MBPS) and will at least permit some streaming. It is also now possible to use VPN connections. We have been told that Comcast will be available here later in the year and at that time we intend to upgrade our internet. To make the stay of our guests with allergies more pleasant, this is a NO SMOKING and NO PET property.
Foxtown Road is a scenic country road with very light traffic. It is favored by many bike enthusiasts and runners. The Garrett County Gran Fondo 100+ mile bike race goes by the end of our driveway as do other bike races. We are situated at the edge of the former Country Acres Strawberry Farm where Ken grew up. Ken’s mother owns a cabin a few hundred yards away that sleeps 12 so extended family and friends can stay nearby but retire in their own private space. The two-acre lake is visible from the balcony. Closest grocery store is 5 miles. Closest fast food is Brenneman's Store - 3 1/2 miles - Pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, soft freeze ice cream, etc.-very reasonable prices. Coffee Shop: Canoe on the Run - 6 miles. Bakery: The Rolling Pin located in Accident - 5 miles. Our favorite local restaurants are: Mountain State Brewery, Deep Creek Seafood, Pizzeria Uno, Green Turtle. Movie Theater: Garrett 8 Cinemas - 9 miles. Deep Creek Lake: 6 Miles Wisp Ski Resort: 7 miles Garrett College - 5 miles ASCI Whitewater Course 7 mile Upper Yough River-whitewater rafting 10 miles Swallow Falls State Park: 14 miles New Germany State Park: 13 Miles Shop-N-Save: 5 miles Walmart Super Center: 17 miles Amish Community: 20 miles
  • Ken was a wonderful host. He answered all of our questions as soon as I asked them. The location was perfect, “middle of nowhere” but no more than 15 minutes from all the amenities in the area. It was sparkling clean, the decor was charming and the apartment included all the small touches you would expect from an intimate AirBnB experience. We loved all the animals; the chickens were a wonderful sound to wake up to and there was an adorable cat that said goodnight to us! I would definitely recommend and we will be back!

    Courtney2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend staying with Ken and Cheryl if you are in the Deep Creek Lake area. The butterfly suite was very relaxing and spotless! Mark and Debbie

    Debbie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We love your nice cozy and super clean place. We slept through the night without anyone bothering. Woke up with fresh air in a country. Thank you for a good experience staying there. We are looking forward to bring more friends to stay there pretty soon❤️❤️

  • The Enchanted Butterfly Suite will blow you away. There are so many unexpected amenities you will find upon arrival you will feel instantly at home. The interior finishes of the suite and the views are amazing. From the chickens, to the woods in the backdrop, to the vaulted ceiling in the main living space, to the pond in the distance, to the fireplace, to the yard that is a few acres - it is so private, relaxing and absolutely perfect. Plus it is only a 10-12 minute drive to the Wisp for skiing and Deep Creek lake for swimming, boating, etc. - the location is amazing. Best value I have found on AirBnb (and I am a Superhost with 3 properties of my own). Fantastic job Ken - we will definitely be back!

    Casey2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Beautiful and well thought touches to ensure a wonderful stay. The homemade bread and cookies were a wonderful welcome. I would recommend driving during daylight as it’s located in the woods and a little difficult to navigate in the dark!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here over New Years Eve, and had a wonderful time. The area is beautifuland it was a nice escape from the city we live in. The space was warm and inviting. The gas fireplace was nice and cozy and we utilized the full kitchen to make dinner. The suite was incredibly quiet and relaxing. A perfect getaway!

    Katie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem!! Sparkling clean, special touches of homemade bread and Godiva chocolates, beautiful appointed spaces!! The owners are just wonderful!! We had an amazing experience!! Thank you for everything!

  • Ken's place did not disappoint. We were with our 2 boys and they loved the board games, seeing the chickens and the wide open spaces. My husband and I loved the coffee and tea selection, the homemade bread and jam and the full kitchen as well as the location which is close to Wisp ski resort. Overall, Ken was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay in the butterfly suite!

The queen size mattress has been voted very comfortable by our friends who tested the room for us. The Treetop Room is one of two guest rooms in the west wing that we have listed on AirBnB. Room is equipped with clean sheets, hypoallergenic pillows (4) and comforter, ceiling fan, portable air conditioning unit, sound machine, extra blanket, kleenex, jar of filtered water and glasses, and ear plugs. Towels and washclothes are located in the shared bath. At the top of the stairs is a large sunroom -- perfect for relaxation, reading a book, eating a meal, savoring a cup of coffee or tea (provided). Other common areas include library, living room, kitchen, and dining room. We are an eight minute bike ride (.8 of a mile) from the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail in Confluence, 26 minutes (15 miles) by car to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and 23 minutes (13 miles) to his later home, Kentuck Knob.
  • Tissue Farm is an interesting and inspiring destination. The rooms are situated in a cosy apartment above a developing art space - perfect for artists and travellers. The room was clean and cozy with a *very* comfortable bed and lovely linens. There is a very cute shared kitchen and dining area. Suzanne and Pope are attentive and thoughtful hosts. They're available for whatever is needed (whether great coffee in the morning or local history and tips) but they also give guests plenty of privacy. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

    Kate2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne and Pope were awesome! They were amazing hosts and had a really awesome space! I would go back to Confluence just to go back to Tissue Farm.

  • This place is amazing! The house is just perfect with a wonderful view and plénty of space! Suzanne and his husband are extremly welcoming and they are very fascinating people as well. Their house is perfectly located to visit The Water Fall House, but Confluence and the sourroundings worth the visit! Highly recommended !

    Giovanna2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne and Pope were great hosts! They had coffee with us in the morning and treated us to a tour of the building -- It really has quite the history. They had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area! The room was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. There are freight trains that run regularly near the building. The noise didn't bother us, but just in case you're a lighter sleeper, Suzanne and Pope provide earplugs and a white noise/sound machine in the room. I would absolutely stay here again.

    Kyle2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

  • Top-notch AirBnB experience, polite and accurate communication combined with a clean and spacious house. Plenty of room for our family of five. The local area was fun to explore on foot.

Three bedroom ranch house on 3 acres that connects to large tract of public land owned by The Western PA Conservancy. The house is a short 4 mile drive to both Ohiopyle and Falling Water. Firewood is provided free on site for campfires. A propane grill is ready to use on the front porch or prepare your meal in the fully equipped kitchen. The house is supplied by well water but there is bottled water in the refrigerator. There is no wifi and cell phone coverage is spotty at the house.
  • Fantastic place great location will be going back again!

  • I was a bit scared going in about not being able to find the place since it was off grid, but it was really easy to get to. I stayed for one evening after visiting Kentuck knob and everything was wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever utensils or cooking methods you need. I also enjoyed the faux fire space heaters. It was a huge space for one person, you can definitely bring your whole family on this trip.

  • This place was so easy to find and super convenient for our visit to Ohiopyle. We could take our time in the morning and stay in the park as late as we wanted without having to worry about a long drive back. The place was very clean and night. And the pillows and bed were so so comfortable. It was nice to have a space to relax and get away from it all for the weekend. Highly recommend if you are exploring the area to stay here!
