Idyllic Farmhouse in Stunning Deeside Location

Blackness Farmhouse is a traditional cottage still retaining many of its original features. Bathrooms and kitchen have been modernized, open fires replaced for wood burners and carpeting added to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was our home while we converted the nearby barns into our new house. and although storage was tight for a busy family of 6, we loved our time living there and always felt it would make a perfect holiday home. We hope you enjoy your stay.

If your looking for something a little different then the stable wing of The Bridge House may be just for you! My unusual holiday home is part of the unique Bridge House built over the River Ardle in k1881. It has recently been renovated to a warm and cosy standard! Charming original features including stone spiral stairs, traditional Scottish timber clad walls, brick and pine flooring. All mod cons including wifi & smart TV. Quiet, peaceful and rural location. The Couthie Cooshed is cosy well appointed and is set in a private garden on the edge of fields. This barn is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in the country surrounded by fields and wildlife. A tranquil oasis away from the hustle & bustle, but only a 10 minute drive to the nearest shops in Banchory. Free Wi Fi. private Parking 4.pm arrival is normally requested but an earlier arrival time may be possible if the lodge is ready. Please just ask. Departure time is 10.am so that the lodge can be serviced in good time for next guests.
