The photos don't do the place justice, it's charming and very comfortable. The hosts are generous and attentive. Our three young children had a wonderful time. Throughly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in Fivizzano. The house is wonderful and is set on a hillside with an amazing view. My children enjoyed the pool tremendously. Our travel plans changed at the last moment and Rosalind was extremely easy to work with. She and I communicated quickly and efficiently while she arranged everything with her house caretaker. From initial contact to our arrival in the home was less than twenty-four hours although we did pay an additional 50 Euros for that assistance. We feel fortunate to have been able to stay in such a wonderful home.

Excellent pool, fantastic views: we loved our seven nights here, and highly recommend!

Our main concern initially was actually finding the house but Ros' instructions brought us straight to the house pretty easily. The house itself is beautiful and the surroundings are just stunning, the views from the balconies were fantastic. We were really impressed with the pool as well which was bigger than we expected and again the views from the pool area were excellent. Used the wood-burning oven one night which was great. Easy enough to get into Fivizzano in the car, however the roads were very narrow and winding so we chose not to do them in the dark! There was a little problem when we arrived as we could not get in but this was sorted quite quickly. We all really enjoyed our stay, we made pizzas in the wood fire oven and sat out every meal time. The weather was fabulous and we would definitely return!

This was not our first time staying in a villa in Italy but this was certainly the best stay we have had. This property is pretty much the full package. Actually it is the full package! We had two families totalling nine people, even so there was plenty of space. We really loved the location . Everyday we sat on the back deck and watched the sunset or marvelled at the night sky. The mountains are all around you and feel so close you could touch them. We cooked pizzas in the wood fired oven , drank local wines and just soaked in the atmosphere . Bliss.... All the other cool things , you will just have to go and find out for yourself. Thanks to Dan and Family for letting people stay in your family home, it really has that organic feel of a proper lived in house put together with an eye for detail. We loved Dan's collection of gauges and things with dials, that pop up all around the place. Have a look for the old Italian taxi meter... Oh and remember to put the door mat back in the pool when you finish swimming , so the hedgehogs can get out of the pool!! And special thanks to Craig and Ellie for being such great local hosts.

We were very welcomed by Francesca and her husband. The house was consistent with the description, but the photos do not show that the mill is below the road along the village. This is a charming, very charming and loved us.

Our stay with Elly and Craig was fantastic, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Such lovely, friendly people who made us feel at home straight away. Angus (the dog) was a delight and the swimming pool was a pleasure after a day of hiking. Elly and Craig have a great amount of local knowledge of the area and were happy to provide suggestions of where to eat and things to do. We will definitely be returning to this stunning part of the world!

Elly & Craig's house is located in a quiet mountain town called Cerignano. We got to their place after spending three days in Florence, and spent three nights at one of their rooms. The overall experience was excellent: The surrounding moutains make for some impressive scenery; The house is clean and gives you your own (very spacious) terrace with a stunning view, a fully equiped kitchen you can use, a separate tub and a rainshower in the guest bathroom, etc.; There is an outside pool which can be used by guests (unfortunately, the weather during our stay was not that good) ; The room has a good bed and a fan (that we didn't have to use); The house in general just feels welcoming and relaxed, although this is probably caused by the owners (Elly and Craig and their lovely pets). As per Elly and Craig, they are heartwarming and friendly. They are very social and talkative, yet they also leave their guests to their own. Due to the fact that Elly & Craig live downstairs, while the rooms (including the terrace and the guest bathroom) are upstairs, you will not be in their way and neither will they be in your way. However, we would highly recommend chatting up to them. They are fun and very interesting. Furthermore, the house is occupated by a dog and three cats. Elly & Craig will ask if they have to keep the dog (Angus) and the cats away from you. We would not recommend you to ask for such a thing. Beware though, if you befriend the dog and the cats, you'll be greeted with much enthusiasm and will get lots of attention from them. If you want to escape the busy city life, this room is perfect!

Elly and Craig designed and built a small diamond up in the hills of Fivizzano. Every room is like a piece of art itself, cause the hosts designed every room individually with chosen accessories and decorated with style. But more important Craig and Elly are wonderful hosts. They organized a table for my girlfriend's birthday and told us which sightseeing is worth to visit. With three cats and Angus (a dog not a steak) we had plenty of fun cuddling with pets. Every evening we watched a colorful sunset and chatted with Craig and Elly and the other guest. I must admit I will miss this time. Thanks again for this wonderful holiday.

Elly and Craig's home is the exact definition of paradise on earth: the place is absolutely stunning - beautiful and quiet location, great exteriors and swimming-pool (that makes you never want to leave your sunbed), amazing house renovation, adorable and quiet room bathed in sunshine and opened on a private terrace with a beautiful view on the valley - but this heaven wouldn't be complete without Elly and Craig: warm-hearted, super welcoming and friendly but never intrusive, cool, fun and always available for help and advice, they are simply amazing. We definitely look forward to coming back :D

We had a fantastic time staying with Elly and Craig. They are exceptionally open and communicative with guests. Their house has a unique style, very friendly pets and you will feel as if you were staying with friends rather than renting a vacation home. Definitely ask for their course in pasta making. The location is off the usual tourist trail - you will need a car and some willingness to explore outside of your guide book's recommendations. We stayed in the smaller one of two guest rooms which was cosy but the guest area has a large terrace and you are free to roam around the entire house if you want to hang out.

We had such a great time with Elly and Craig who offered a very high service. They are both very friendly, humorous and helpful and they made us feel very, very welcome. This place is perfect for relaxation and offers good value for money. I recommend the accommodation very highly.

When we arrived at Ellys and Craigs home we felt welcome immediately. After a short time we knew we can feel like home! This place is so wonderful and the best thing is, that the hosters make it even better. They are both very kind and lovely people who love to chat an laugh. We loved the cats and the dog, mostly we enjoyed the beautiful view and the quietness of this special place in the Toskana! It's the perfect place to spend a quiet and relaxed holiday. The bed was so comfy, that it was perfect for sleeping but even harder to get up in the morning... ;-) . All the rooms are very clean and you'll find many places to relax an chill in the sun. All in one, we had a very special time at this place and would recommend everyone to spend time in this beautiful home! Thank you, once again XX

I just really can recommend staying at Jean-Etienne's place. We were staying there early September, and starting from the weather, which was nice and not too hot, over the place, which has everything you need for a great and relaxing time(kitchen, pool, wi-fi, bbq-grill etc.) to Turano, which is a lovely small village, beautifully lying within the tuscan hills, everything was just right. When we arrived, Brigitte(who is managing the place in Jean-Etienne's absence) was very welcoming, explained everything we needed to know about the place (how to take care of the flowers and the pool, which might sound more difficult now than it really is, so no need to be afraid of that).She gave us great tipps what to do, where to eat, where you can get good wine and great bread and pizza. She also made fig marmalade and gave us a glass of it. It was very tasty. :) As already mentioned before, Turano is a very small village and the next supermarket is about 3-4km by foot (about 5 minutes with the car) in the closest town called Fivizzano. There you can get everything you need for your stay and for cooking etc. Turano was lovely and all people we met there were nice and welcoming. It was just the perfect place to relax. All in all, if you want relaxing and nice holidays in a lovely village, a host that is very nice and welcoming and a place that is great, then THIS is really whre you need to go :)

Beautiful location in the mountains. Wonderful accommodation in a classic Tuscan house. During our stay we visited Florence, Pisa, Genoa (aquarium), Cinque Terre and the splendid beach of the city of Vada. We thank Fabio grandfather Ugo for everything you've done for us. They were beautiful days spent in Tuscany. Accommodation in Peretola recommend to all those who love beautiful rural surroundings of Tuscany and want to experience the beauty of Italy.

It is like the house. Beautiful old furniture (except the kitchen, bathrooms and sofas). Very nice host and his friend Hugo, who met us and showed all (much late arrival).

Staying at Giulia's house was wonderful. The house is quiet small but you find everything you need to spend a nice and calm holiday (e.g. fully equipped little kitchen, washing machine, dryer, wifi,...). The best part of the house is the garden, which you have for your own. You can lie under the big trees and swim in the great swimming pool. An awesome place to relax! There is a small mini market in the town, but you should go to one of the bigger towns if you want to have a greater selection of - the brilliant - local food. Giulia was super friendly and helpful, even if we saw her only once during our whole stay. Grazie Giulia for having us as you guests - we enjoyed it so much!!

Our host was charming throughout our stay and met us at the property even though we were late due to getting lost a few times. Due to the patchy weather we spent more time inside the (large) studio than we'd hoped which wasn't made with tall people in mind. A few teething problems with hot water which were sorted out immediately. TV and Wifi reception a bit of problem given the location but a friendly bar a few minutes walk away solved that. A lovely pool and beautiful location but very remote and restaurants not always opened when you imagine they might be; stock up at a decent supermarket beforehand if you intend to stay for any length of time, preferably not one in Aulla .

Guilias place was fantastic. Lazy days sitting by the pool under the Tuscan sun was a good way to escape the grind. The house has a very functional kitchen with a good stove and oven. Beds are comfy and everything is in good working order. The tomatoes from the shop down the road we better than a cold shower on a 38degree day. All in all a vey enjoyable stay, we will be back!

Enjoyed our stay - very quiet and secluded place :-) Giulia was a very attentive host leaving tips for things to do and advise on where to go for grocery shopping. The garden and pool area was excellent. The indoor area and kitchen acceptable. Only minor thing was difficulties with the wifi - but was good enough for the basic necessities. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place if passing by :-)

Very nice garden and a beautiful pool, large, clean, fresh ..... the best! The studio is fairly large and functional (we were 5) We took our meals on the terrace, overlooking the forested mountains of the Apennines. The surroundings are worth a visit, especially if one likes to walk in the mountains. A good address.

Giulia is the perfect host and her place is absolutely wonderful! The pool is fantastic and we hope to come back soon!

Deborah was a very kind host and very helpful. He has always responded promptly and has been careful to collect us on our arrival. It has provided all that was needed. the house is clean and spacious: the ideal for a period of relaxation and peace. The sensations that gives this place are indescribable.

great little place ideal for a relaxing few days! The house is very pretty and equipped with every comfort, the terrace overlooking the valley and offers fantastic views! In the evening, when the lights go down and lights a candle you can relax in the moonlight and star gazing Deborah is a very nice person that will make you feel immediately at home, as well as to provide you with everything you might need during your stay. Definitely recommended for the house, the location and if you want to know a wonderful person!

Deborah was very kind and punctual in the reception, also has left the house with the required comfort. The place is nothing short of amazing and stunning views !! It's complemented by a beautiful warm fireplace where you can spend evenings with guitar film books and a drink Run;) to relax in an environment surrounded only by nature.
