  • Steve's place is wonderful! It is exactly as described and there is not much left to say that hasn't already been said. I will note that the neighbors to the left and right of the house are distant, and there is no neighbor to the rear of the house. There is no fence demarcating a yard in these directions. Instead, it feels more like open wilderness around the cabin, which is beautiful. Behind the house there is a hill which elevates to the forest line, so it is possible to go on a small hike up the hill and appreciate some amazing views of the surrounding area. Some of my other favorite things here: amazing sunsets, the stars appeared brighter than I had seen them in years due to the wonderfully remote-ish location, and the sound of frogs at night are magical.

Welcome to the sunset Cottage! Situated on 13 beautiful acres in nestled within miles of 40+ beautiful vineyards in El Dorado/Amador county. Some stairs to walk to the front door, and up on to the deck. No stairs inside the unit. A slightly kinder, gentler introduction to the idea of tiny living! If necessary for families, we do offer a Pack ‘N Play if needed! Just let us know In advance of your check in so we can have it ready for you!
Rural area. 6.3 miles to grocery store. 2.5 miles to an amazing restaurant, and vineyards within 1.2 miles. We are situated on 13 acres and are in the process of developing walking trails on the property. Access to swimming holes on the Consumnes River and hiking/biking in the El Dorado National Forest nearby.
  • I could not have asked for a better stay. After getting stuck on the nearby highway during a snowstorm, I found this place on my nearest locations. Lucky me! I pretty much booked without looking at pics, as long as it was a place to sleep indoors and could accommodate me and my pup! I arrived late, and was welcomed by Clint first thing to help troubleshoot kitchen appliances for me. The next morning, after a crazy day before, they brought over some breakfast supplies so I wasn’t starved in the snowstorm that was happening! I managed to make it out but I regret leaving now! I will definitely be coming back here next chance I get for a vacation! Wonderful house, wonderful humans, and wonderful animals on this property! A++!

  • Michael was a great host. I had service issues at a winery in the area leading to communication difficulties and Michael had the place ready and warmed up for us in quite the downpour! Looking forward to another stay in the future in perhaps some better weather 😁

  • The space is very nice. The cabin looks like it’s new and the furnishings are clean and neat. We came up at night so we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing views from the kitchen and patio the next morning. It’s a great place if you’re planning on doing some wine tasting in the area.

    Michael2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet place. It's out in the woods, but don't let that deter you. Very comfortable place to hang out for the weekend!

  • Be prepared to enjoy the private Creek and lake. We couldn’t get over the massive land surrounding the house. If it were warmer we would have enjoyed the detached game room, dining areas and other fun rooms. It was a pleasant surprise to find how much land we had to roam on.

  • Miss this place so much already, I can’t stop thinking about it. It is a very big cabin in the enchanting good green woods, the grounds are historic and the place has it’s own story. Everything was so comfortable the chimney was very relaxing (perfect crackling fire) I was able to play some music and watch a movie late night with a movie projector, that’s just a few amenities, there’s more. WiFi worked great for uploading pictures, and my kids loved the game room, the space to wonder, I took them to the wood shack to help get more wood for fire, grilling was wonderful and the kitchen had coffee. Overall, It is exactly what you want if your looking to escape. Hospitality was great, I was very appreciative and Carissa thank you for being so responsive to all my questions and concerns.

There is a well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill for the foodie, different lounging areas and two hammocks for the person looking to relax, game room for the kids and young at heart, outdoor setting on a creek for the outdoorsy crowd, and gorgeous chandeliers and outdoor lighting that sets the romantic mood for the love birds. • This was my first time staying in an AirBnB. Bruce & Julianna are kind hosts with strong attention for detail. They provide homestyle breakfasts at 9 a.m. upon request & make homemade loaves of bread. For my birthday, they included 2 jumbo specialty cupcakes for me & my daughter. Plus there was a bottle of 2005 merlot waiting w/glasses & bottle opener, 2 bottles of water in the fridge, various teas next to the Keuring & chocolate candies. A book detailing extras in the closet, wifi password, flat-screen TV w/Roku, places to eat and things to go do. They provide extra shampoos/conditioners and hairdryer, plus plenty of towels & washcloths & lots of pillows for the QUEEN sized bed. They are friendly and willing to chat if you wish. They even offered to play board games with me if I did not choose to be out late on N.Y. eve with my daughter which was very sweet. Julianna is an amazing quilter too. Ask to see some of her work! The home is on a septic system, and Bruce kindly unclogged the toilet when it backed up the very 1st morning (we suspect the previous guest did not follow the rules of TP only). They are early risers (making coffee and in the kitchen before the sun is up), so if this is a concern I would recommend earplugs for light sleepers. (Also, be advised the MINI-FRIDGE does run off & on all night long, so if you do not need it, unplug it for more restful sleep). Google Maps GPS seems to be guiding you correctly, however, DO FOLLOW BRUCE'S DIRECTIONS as his are accurate and Google Maps leads you to a fork in the road & claims you have arrived. Trust me, you have not. Although they can be seen anywhere, we definitely saw plenty of DEER near FOWLER LN. and we even witnessed a buck get hit on that street by a car. We nearly hit him as well. Luckily it got up and ran off. That was a shock to be sure! There are no street lights in that area so drive extra slow and be extremely cautious. Oh, there are also wild turkey roaming around in the daytime which I loved seeing! Bruce kindly offered to loan us his Tom-Tom gps for our day trips since he noted that phone GPS can be spotty. There are plenty of nearby STORES if you should need something: WalMart, Rite Aid, Big Lots to name a few. DINING is abundant as well: THE ORIGINAL MEL'S DINER (related to the one in the movies) is a 50s joint with individual jukeboxes on the tables. 232 Main St., Placerville BUTTERCUP PANTRY is delightfully eclectic with lots of down-home choices. Save room for the giant brownies (less than $2) which are sold ready-wrapped at the register. 222 Main St., Placerville. AMORE MIO ITALIAN BISTRO is where we had our New Year's Eve dinner (451 Main St #8, Placerville) which is hidden back behind other businesses and overlooks the water. If dining late, order your dessert FIRST! They brought the tray around earlier, and by the time it was our turn, after dinner, half the choices were gone - and they looked amazing! SWEETIE PIES seems to excite the locals, but we found it to be just ok. HEYDAY CAFE 325 Main St, Placerville is a tiny bistro in the middle of your downtown shopping and the perfect place to take a break. We enjoyed the curry chicken and wild rice soup with ciabatta rolls. If you want food on the go, or some fresh groceries, check out the PLACERVILLE NATURAL FOOD CO-OP. 535 Placerville Dr., Placerville. They have sandwiches, hot soups, a tea and coffee bar, ready-made salads, fresh fruits and veg from local farms, natural/healthy foods and beauty products and more. We spent about an hour in there :) ENCHANTED FOREST Irish pub & dining was newly opened. 372 Main St, Placerville. We had a good time there & tried a mead sampler flight for $15. They have someone who produces mead locally for them. I don’t even like alcohol, but original mead is very good. Be careful though, because mead contains sulfites as a preservative, which can cause headaches. Fun history lesson on MEAD: The drink of ancient Gauls and Anglo Saxons, Mead was originally made by monks centuries ago from fermented honey and water. Mead soon made its way into the courts of the Four Kings of Ireland and no banquet was complete without it. This honey-based drink was said to possess powers of virility and fertility, and it became custom for a bride and groom to drink Mead for one full moon after their wedding, giving birth to the word "honeymoon." In Ireland today, it is still tradition to toast the bride and groom with a glass of Meade when they depart on their honeymoon from the wedding feast. I really wanted to try THE DIAMOND SPRINGS HOTEL RESTAURANT COUNTRY COOKING (no longer operating as a hotel), which locals had recommended. Sadly, they are closed on Mondays so we never made it there. 545 Pleasant Valley Rd, Diamond Springs We enjoyed EXPLORING the local area as well: BOA VISTA APPLE ORCHARDS is open year-round and a short, lovely country drive from downtown Placerville. 2952 Carson Rd, Placerville. The fresh cider is to die for and a half-gallon easily fit into the mini-fridge in our room. They sell a good size box {about 15 Pink Lady apples} of “seconds” or apples with blemishes for only $3. They were delicious! We bought fresh apple donuts, and also a slice of Dutch caramel apple pie that we ate in front of the outdoor fireplace. They have lots of fun kitchen gadgets for sale as well, and if you like wines and hard ciders they have a tasting bar (we didn't do that, but it's there). Very affordable postcards as well! I understand Apple Hill is really hopping in the fall,

    Heather2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Julianna and Bruce are absolutely wonderful, warm and welcoming hosts! They had a bunch of recommendations for things to do and places to eat and drink in the area. The provided breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting with the hosts. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice and private as well. Really enjoyed it here and would definitely stay again!

    Sara2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional hospitality. The home was very cozy, well decorated and extremely clean. Without a doubt the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in.

    Isaac2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • The AirBnB is very charming! The decorations and the layout is lovely and cozy. I love the view from the bed out the window. It was a perfect way to wake up. The layout was nice with having our own private hallway and bathroom. Julianna and Bruce have everything very organized and easy to find from the informational binder to robes to coffee. The amenities are awesome. I definitely recommend Julianna’s AirBnB for anyone who needs a place to stay in this area. :)

    Olivia2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem of a private room is what Airbnb is all about. Really appreciate my hosts as they made it easy to “check in” even though we were delayed three hours by a storm.

    OceanMatt2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce and Julianna's place was a wonderful experience. The directions were thorough and made it easy to find. They were accommodating of our last minute booking and welcomed us into their home with short notice. The room was very cozy and we appreciated the privacy door that separated us from the rest of the house. Everything was spotless and they go out of their way to provide many amenities. We would definitely come back and stay again. Super hosts for a reason!

She made us a delicious breakfast both mornings. She is such a sweet lady and her dogs are absolutely adorable. We would love to come stay with her again!

  • This was our second time visiting volcano and staying here. Dianne is such a lovely host. She’s the only Airbnb host who actually makes breakfast. It’s always so good, too. Her guest house is clean and cute. We love to sit on the back deck in the afternoon and relax with the dogs. The hot tub after the sun goes down is spectacular! You can see every star out there. The kennels and amenities provided for the dogs are so nice and thoughtful. We’ll definitely be coming back here again and we would recommend it to everyone.

The "Hatchery" is a bright and cheery cottage nestled in the Sierra foothills. (Formerly known as 'the Cottage at Heather Hill) Our guest house is attached to our main residence, on a 10.9 acre parcel, down a private road. We are 12 miles from Placerville, 7 miles from Apple Hill and close to local wineries. For winter fun, we are 43 miles from Sierra at Tahoe. This location is secluded, and gives you a taste of country, yet it's not too far from civilization!
The cottage is a fully contained unit, with one bedroom and one bathroom, a full kitchen, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. There is a sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two, in addition to the queen bed in the bedroom. Breakfast foods will be provided and you will always find farm fresh eggs laid you for by our own 'girls'. Feel free to stroll the grounds to say hello to the chickens and goats. We have central heat and A/C, a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, Keurig unit, and gas stove, in addition to the the laundry facilities.
Please note there are some narrow roads that lead into our neighborhood. We can advise you on the easiest ways to access our home if this is a concern. The last quarter mile leading to our house is a mixture of pavement and gravel and our driveway is somewhat steep. There will be a parking space set aside just for you. We do think you'll find the little bit of adventure worth it to enjoy our little slice of heaven in the country. We do get some some snow in the winter here at 3100 feet, so if snow is in the forecast, 4 wheel drive is recommended.
  • Hurry up and book Kim’s place now. It was a heavenly getaway from the Bay Area and a close jaunt to our favorite ski resort, Sierra. The apartment was comfortable and cute with a large kitchen and wonderful wood burning stove. My kids were over the moon at getting to meet the baby goats, including two day-old darlings. They had fun climbing around the hill behind the property too. The last bonus - utterly delicious fresh eggs from the chickens on property.

    Tutti2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the goats and baby goats. Great country appartment. Would stay again if I was through the area.

    Jean2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place is cozy and has what you need for a comfortable stay- I particularly love the spacious kitchen. It’s located in a beautiful area surrounded by hills and trees (with lots of deer roaming around) and only 15 min from the grocery store if you need to pick up anything. We enjoyed some eggs laid by her chickens which was delicious and so sweet of her. Thanks again for the great stay.

  • Place is small but cozy, those eggs were fantastic, my kids loved those beautiful goats, a little far from the sierra at tahoe (50 min), but can't beat the price, overall a great place.

  • Great host!

    Noelle2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • As others have said, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a smile. The location is great to explore all the wineries in the region.

  • Great place beautifully located in the hills of vinyards

    Kyle2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very cute, clean and had great views right next to the winery. We arrived after dark and someone was waiting to guide us in which was very nice! The quiche and wine were really nice perks!!! By the time all fees and taxes were included our price was $571.49 for 2 nights. I would suggest the following additions to the room: blow dryer; kleenex; wifi; Nespresso machine and fresh milk.

    Billie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay. Wonderful place.

    Patrik2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The coffee and quiche was such a nice touch. We enjoyed our visit!

    Janna2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Christina was a wonderful host...very helpful with recommendations for local wineries, offering free tastings and discounts. The bottle of Mourvèdre and a fresh quiche for breakfast were very nice touches! Nice and very quiet spot.

Welcome to a little slice of country heaven! This private, home-away-from home is located only 7 miles from popular Apple Hill & minutes from charming downtown Placerville. Explore all the area has to offer (hiking, wine tasting, boating, shopping, restaurants, Tahoe bound) & relax in our comfortable, newly renovated cottage. With 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, complete kitchen, an open common area, plenty of parking & a nature-filled view from every window, this gem is as perfect as they come.
Truly, a perfect place to come and stay or simply use as a stepping stone onto your next adventure. Just under 1000 sq. ft, of roomy, ridiculously clean, joy nestled amongst the trees.
A charming drive and paved roads will lead you to our cottage. Set in a 'neighborhood' of acreage homes sites, the area is quiet, safe, and makes for great evening strolls.
  • This small house has a real woodsy feel from the outside but the inside is modern and super clean with stylish touches. Really enjoyed our stay!

    Woody2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and clean space! The house is super cute actually! Organized very well with lots of great recommendations! Wonderful location, and the hosts are amazing. Very friendly and easy going! I will definitely book this again if I find myself back in the area. Highly recommend checking out!

    Jonathan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Corin was very easy to work with and accommodating. The place offers great solitude in a wooded location just about an hour up the hill from Sacramento. A great spot for a weekend getaway or to reacquaint yourself with fresh air and Gaia.

    Jeff2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. Super clean, neat, and very cozy. Definitely will be coming back for another cozy getaway! The hosts are super nice as well!

    Amanda2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a private and secluded place, which I really appreciate. And I t’s clean and quiet, and surrounded by trees. Check-in and -out were made simple by Corin and John who were available to answer questions. The bedrooms are at either end of the residence, separated by the kitchen and living room area. Having the two bathrooms is nice. The master b/r has its own, but the second bath is right outside the far b/r. It’s almost like having two master b/r’s. The large shower stall in the master bath is also nice. The kitchen is well stocked enough to produce a gourmet meal. About 10 min drive from downtown Placerville, at the end of of the paved section of a small side road, in a small wooded valley of the gold country this a sweet getaway. We found it comfortable and inviting. I’d definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

  • We had an incredible time and the location was beautiful and super close to lots of cool stuff. The house was spotless and you could tell our host took care with lots of little homey touches. 10/10 would stay again :)

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Grate place would stay there again

    Jamie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely outstanding. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. Corin and John were awesome and this adorable spot was everything we needed. We hiked and fished around the area and came back and enjoyed our time at the little home. We used the bbq on the last night to make an awesome dinner. Turns out unplugging from everything was just what we need. We didn’t have to worry about our phones or WiFi, we simply unplugged and enjoyed everything about this place. Do yourself a favor and book Corin and Johns place, you will not be disappointed!!!

  • Super cute house, had a very pleasant time getting away with my girlfriend. Very tranquil. Michael has created An amazing experience up there. Stop at a few wineries on the way, or check in and then venture out. There’s a bunch all around. Busby Cellars is very quaint with powerhouse wines. It was raining but that didn’t take away from the beautiful and mystical landscape and environment. Definitely recommend, and hope to return.

    Anthony2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was exactly what we wanted and it was exactly what the photos showed. We cant wait to go back and relax. Michael was there when we arrived and was a super host. Thanks again.

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so special. I chose “as expected”only because I’ve been there already and it was just as expected. Like, Amazing! It’s super cute, is decorated with a masculine feel which is refreshing. The view is really special and the moon and stars are so bright. I love sitting out on the deck at night and in the morning. Too bad I always come by myself. It would be a great weekend getaway for a couple. 💕💕💕

    Abbie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Clint have such a special place tucked away in Somerset. The space was beautiful and they have the warmest hospitality. They also have three lovable pups we got to enjoy the sunset with and morning coffee. Highly recommend their place!

    Alexa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space and a lovely setting. I would definitely stay here again.

    Andrew2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's tiny home was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed our stay there tremendously and were pleasantly surprised at how much you could fit into a tiny home- there were even champagne and wine glasses to drink all the wine we bought from nearby wineries! Michael was extremely hospitable and made us feel super welcome.

    Jason2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s place is just as described. My friends and I had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the occasional friendly hi from the three dogs on the property. The views outside of the valley were also incredible to wake up to. Would definately stay here again.

    Natalie2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home was the perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway. It was cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed starting our mornings by eating breakfast on the deck looking out at the amazing view of the surrounding mountains and with friendly visits from Michael's dogs.

  • We had such a great time at Leon and Michelle's place! The bed was super comfy and the added touch of RX bars and microwave popcorn on the room was much appreciated! The breakfast exceeded our expectations; the coconut french toast and sausage egg souffle were absolutely delicious. My only negative was that I was too stuffed to eat more of it! The grounds are very pretty and peaceful and next time I will remember my bathing suit for the hot tub. All in all it was a wonderful place to relax and unwind after a day of wine tasting and we will be back!

    Breeze2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely vineyard walking distance to 2 wineries and a short drive to multiple wineries and a sweet little restaurant!

    Alice2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Leon and Michelle have created a beautiful, detailed, country home with elegant touches of charm. They were very hospitable, welcoming, gave us great tips and directions, and gave us access to enjoy not only the room and dining room, but their beautiful property. There is so much to see and appreciate, we almost didn’t want to leave to explore more of the area! They created a top notch breakfast with coffee and juice in the mornings and were enjoyable to chat with. This has been one of our favorite Air B N B visits for my husband and I! So thankful!

    Diana2019-11-16T00:00:00Z

  • My husband and I stayed for a 2nd time at Stoney Creek, and once again, it did not disappoint. We love enjoying the nearby wineries, and then staying at this property. Breakfast was delicious as before, and we know we will stay here again. Thanks so much for the hospitality

  • SUPER CLEAN. EVERYTHING WE COULD NEED WAS PROVIDED, down to the trash bags and sugar for your coffee! The turtles and sheep were wonderful for my son to visit and I don’t think we could have found a better place. Plus Tina is so helpful and friendly! If your looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway from the everyday city bussle... this is your place!

    Jolynn2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Tina’s and will definitely be back. Tina was a great host and we enjoyed the well appointed space with the sheep and their guard dog, Colt.

    Charla2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a nice time at Tina’s place. The apartment is spacious, and the covered porch is is a very pleasant place to sit admiring the views. Tina is one of the fastest responding hosts I’ve encountered and was flexible letting me extend my stay at the last minute. Her dog is just lovely and doesn’t bark. I’d return for the spring water alone which left my hair quite soft. Her property is close to a good coffee shop, restaurant and grocery store. I’d stay again.

    Lindsay2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot for a little relaxing getaway! The animals are great!

    Haley2020-01-03T00:00:00Z

  • Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the hostiest of them all. MISS TINA!!!! If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, look no further. This place was super clean, she came through and accepted my request near to last minute. If you're an animal lover, you're in for a good treat also. There's a little zoo of encaged animals all over the place. I woke up and fed the tortoises and sheep every morning. I talked with Ms. Tina countless times throughout my stay and we really developed a bond in the short time I was there. She's what you want in an airbnb host, and also just as a neighbor or friend:)

    Aaron2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a get away to the foothills. Tina was very accommodating and helpful. We loved seeing all her animals too.

  • Second visit here and already talking about when we can go back. Such a lovely place and Harvey and Nancy are wonderful hosts. The property inside and outside is beautiful and relaxing. Was able to hike a little this time and really enjoyed seeing more of the property. One of the best Airbnb experiences we've had, if not the best.

    Jeanette2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Harv and Nancy's guest house is spectacular. It is warm, cozy and very stylishly appointed. But even better than the guest house are Harv and Nancy themselves. They are very friendly, helpful and offered some very nice activities for us at the property. They are five stars all around!

    Gary2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Harvey and Nancy's vineyard cottage was way beyond our expectations! The well appointed and lovely decor, the thoughtful food and beverages that were available to us, and Harvey and Nancy's genuine hospitality made us feel comfortable and pampered. We will definitely return to this retreat so we can continue to explore more of Amador and El Dorado's wine country!

    Sharon2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Once upon a time in a land far away things were perfect. People had no worries and everyone was friendly and neighborly. Politics did not divide people. Folks were kind and made cheese together and even uncorked champagne in unique ways. Once upon a time at Linebarier Vineyards life was at it's best thanks to Nancy and Harvey! We will be back!

    Dave2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Far and away the best AirBNB experience we've ever had. The home was even nicer in person than in photos, stocked to the rim with everything you could ever need, beautiful and easy to access location and the nicest hosts you could ever have. Harvey and Nancy really made the whole weekend extra special! From champagne opening with a saber to Ricotta cheese making and more, it was certainly a trip we won't soon forget. Couldn't recommend more and we hope to return soon :)

    Tyler2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best air b & b we have ever stayed in. Harvey and Nancy were amazing hosts. They had truly thought of everything to make our stay so relaxing. The place was very comfortable and stylishly decorated. The surrounding property was absolutely gorgeous. Be sure to check out their vineyard and flat creek. We will definitely be coming back.

    Victoria2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Where is the 20 star rating?? Because Harvey and Nancy deserve one! Their place is just amazing. They are above and beyond thoughtful and accommodating hosts. This was our number one stay for sure! Thank you both very much for a wonderful weekend.

    Jindrus2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is like staying at a private winery. It is quiet, clean, secluded, and friendly. If Harvey asks you to meet him for bubbly to watch the sunset, say YES! Our stay far exceeded any expectations that we had.

  • Absolutely amazing place to stay! Great location, beautiful views, very clean, and super helpful host! Everytime I had a question. They were very fast and helpful with their responses. I highly recommend atleast checking this place out. Thank you dearly for the stay Teresa! Wonderful barn!

    Jonathan2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were in the Placerville area with our small dogs to visit some wineries and go hiking. Treasures at the Barn was the perfect place for us to rest and relax. We appreciated the tea selection as well as the binder and little notes. The bed was really comfortable; we slept great. The patio was very peaceful as we enjoyed the sights and sounds of nature all around us. Teresa was a wonderful host; everything was perfect. Side note: We had a delicious dinner at Heyday Cafe in town, coffee and wonderful home-baked pastries at Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co, and a beautiful hike along Jenkinson Lake up to the waterfall (we parked in the parking lot at 5111 Mormon Emigrant Trail, Pollock Pines-$5 parking; dogs are allowed on leash). Totally great getaway!

    Dienne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I booked into Teresa's at very short notice for a quick getaway and it was everything I had hoped for, relaxing, quiet, private and cozy. I was lucky enough to meet Teresa, her family and her chickens, pigs, cow and affectionate Labrador purely by chance when checking in and whilst not at all expected, that experience alone made for the best start to the weekend. A great space to relax in and fall asleep listening to the breeze and some frogs croaking in the surrounds, I'll certainly be back for my next solo relaxation vacay!

    Rebecca2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at the barn and it’s been great each time, we’ll definitely be back. It’s so cute and cozy. Teresa is an amazing host which makes it even better!

  • Very very good place. Location is about 17 mins from Placerville downtown... pretty easy to navigate on gmaps. The unit has all amenities (heat, wifi, hot water, fully functional kitchen, netflix etc.). Aesthetically, the space feels like a cute, cozy and plush cabin. We loved it :-)

  • You can expect a wonderful host! The property is Beautiful.

    Karen2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The barn itself was so cute and furnished nicely. The kitchen was stocked with materials and spices for basic cooking as well as lots of tea options. Teresa left a binder with little notes of the house and recommendations for what to do near us and how far grocery stores were (super helpful!). The bed was super comfy and the barn kept at whatever temperature we set it at. Overall, such a cute and fun experience staying here! I’d love to come back during the summer and see what it’s like. It was a great mini vacation.

    James2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay! The place was very clean, kitchen was well-equipped, and the hot tub was just what we were hoping for on a couple day getaway.

  • If your looking for a secluded getaway in the Somerset area, this is the place! As advertised, super clean and super host, highly recommended!

    Ben2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough about this house. It's a little slice of heaven. The house was immaculate and very well stocked. Marie was such a gracious host, even having some beach towels ready for us when we arrived so we could take our doggies down to the river. Will definitely be going back.

    Patricia2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool and surprisingly unique place. It's a bit of a drive down a dirt road to get here, but then you arrive and the place is very clean, modern, yet woodsy feeling. There's a front patio space and a large deck overlooking the back yard area and river. Marie's dogs happily greeted us every time we pulled up which we loved. We used the kayaks by the beach which was fun. Even caught a couple little trout up the river a bit. Although we didn't use it, the outdoor kitchen was amazing. Enjoyed our stay and Marie was very responsive.

    Suzanne2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Marie's place is a little getaway itself. Loved the aesthetic of the wooden furniture and the fresh air of the great outdoors. The private hot tub was the best hot tub I have sat in! Marie was really accommodating. She even doggy sat our puppers for us! Great place for a couple and their dog to enjoy nature with modern amenities.

    Christina2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this place is unbeatable. Perfect way to enjoy the nature and lose yourself. Very clean place and great amenities. The host was very welcoming and gave us some great tips about the local things to do.

    Pradeep G2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marie’s place is one of a kind! It’s such an amazing spot to get away from the hustle of everyday life and disconnect! The house is beautiful, cozy, and clean with everything you need! The property is stunning with the river at your doorstep and beautiful woods surrounding you! Marie was an amazing host! She made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to pick up stuff from the grocery store for us! She was also great with our Great Dane puppy as well, letting her roam the property while helping keep an eye or her! Our pup had an amazing time and loved her dog Rufus! We can’t say enough great things about this place and Marie! We will definitely be back!

  • We visited with 11 people and 4 dogs and had a blast at Michael's place! The place was clean and well equipped. We were able to cook many meals in the kitchen and all the cutlery and utensils were well stocked to serve a large group. There were even dog beds which were able to pull out and have the dogs sunbathe on the patio. The best part was the huge yard where our dogs could play and chase each other and get their exercise and that was a lot of fun. The only complaint I would say is that the first floor was a little chilly on day one as the it took a long time to heat the house. We had also arrived only at 11:00 p.m. so that didn't help. Otherwise a phenomenal place to entertain a large group. Also really well lit with natural light. Highly recommended and we hope to be back again

    Satya2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful house with spectacular views. This was our second time staying here, and we're already looking forward to going back

    Caitlin2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful time visiting the fairplay wineries!

    Katie2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing! Plenty of room both inside and outside for a large group to spread out. We enjoyed playing the house games (corn hole, ladder toss and bocce), and loved stargazing from the very spacious hot tub. Everything was spectacular and we valued the close proximity to wineries (walking distance), wide variety of kitchen gear and strong A/C. We will definitely be back!

    Nicole2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The home was comfortable and perfect for our quiet family retreat. Unfortunately it was too hot for us to spend much of our time outside, but we did enjoy the grill & outdoor seating. And looking at the stars while hanging out in the jacuzzi was A+ (just be aware it takes a looooong time to heat up, so plan ahead). I also understand they plan to fix up the outdoor area in the future. We appreciated the baby gates outside on the deck for our toddlers (maybe add one for the indoor stairs?) The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with pots, pans, serving dishes and such for cooking. The A/C was crucial and greatly appreciated! The master bedroom was like an entire apartment, kudos to whoever gets to stay in it. We would definitely stay here again.

    Jessica2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Right in the heart of wine country, this is the perfect base for a large group! So much space, everyone can still find privacy. The boccee, fire pit, and the biggest hot tub we have ever seen extend the space outside enjoying the sunsets and dark star filled sky after the day cooled off. Would definitely stay again!

    Brian2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well-stocked (with towels, dishes, etc), the views are great, and the hosts are incredibly responsive. I would definitely reserve this place again if I was staying in the area.

  • The Crush Pad was the perfect place for a weekend stay for five of our three-generation family members. The location worked great for our first-time visit to the El Dorado County wine country - it's surrounded by vineyards and wineries. The country home itself is modern in all respects with two nice bathrooms (the showers are great) and a large and fully-equipped kitchen. It was impeccably clean and quiet. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to the area.

  • Best airbnb stay we have ever had! Loved all the thoughtful touches and great location walking distance to town - can't recommend enough

    Logan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Daphne are great, and their in-house suite is really nice. It is their house ultimately, so if you plan on being loud, or in and out a lot at late hours, this isn’t the spot for you. But as for a single-traveler like me, it was perfect! Much better than getting a hotel room. P.S. the dog will likely bark in the morning, so sleeping in might not be an option. There are so many great things to do in the area through, I loved exploring. :)

    Narelle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Daphne and Mark have a fabulous space in Placerville to share. The unit is beautiful and extremely comfortable. We loved all the extras provided and being able to walk into town. We would definitely return if we're in the area again.

    Susan2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, gracious hosts, lovely apartment with thoughtful touches throughout. The space is both stylish and warmly inviting. We had a really wonderful stay at Mark and Daphne's place.

    Sandra2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at Seven Cedars was truly fantastic. It was the best experience we've had with Airbnb yet. Mark and Daphne made the place beautiful and seemingly thought of every detail from espresso to popcorn to a fully stocked bathroom. They were also super friendly while giving us our full privacy. Despite a shared entrance to the main house, the apartment itself within their house felt very private. The location is nice, near art galleries and restaurants in Placerville. We had a really great time. Thank you!

    Brian2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Daphne are wonderful hosts, and their place was a real find for our stay in Placerville. Very centrally located to area attractions as well as a short walk to/from downtown. Clean, well decorated and appointed space. Very comfortable. Plenty of room for the two of us. We loved the off-street parking as well. We would definitely stay with Mark and Daphne again!

    Scott2019-11-11T00:00:00Z

  • Very nice and clean cottage for our two night stay. Will be at top of our list for our next Placerville visit. Hosts are very pleasant and made us feel comfortable. We appreciated a stocked kitchen with coffee tea and breakfast items that allowed us to stay in during our busy schedule. And best of all they were graciously dog friendly.

    Stephen2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at John & Marlas for a couple nights when we went to Sierra-at-Tahoe. The place was much bigger than expected, and more than enough space for two people. Kitchen came with sparkling water, lots of juice, water, and fresh eggs. Very nice and thoughtful touches all throughout, and communication was fabulous and almost instantaneous (which was super appreciated). We also went out to dinner one night, and downtown was only a short 10 min walk away. Thank you again for the hospitality!

Fiddletown is in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley wine country and just minutes away from 30 + wineries and tasting rooms. The cottage is located 60 miles from Kirkwood resort and approximately 80 miles to South Lake Tahoe.
The room offers a microwave, electric tea pot, toaster, coffee pot and a small refrigerator with freezer. The bathroom offers a claw-foot tub, heated towel rack and a cabinet for storage. There is a queen size bed and a table for two. We also offer a fenced outside area for your pleasure to enjoy the outdoors with seating.

There is a post office, a community center, a church, candy store with coffee, tennis courts and horse shoe pits that are available to use during your stay. Unfortunately there are no stores in Fiddletown, so Plymouth is the closest town with services. In Plymouth there is a grocery store that closes at 8pm. Colina de Oro Mexican restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner Sunday -Thursday until 830pm and Friday and Saturday until 9pm. Enjoy local beer at the Amador Brewing Company Friday-Sunday with different food options daily. Marlene and Glenn's diner is open Wednesday-Sunday for breakfast and lunch. The Vintage Market and Deli on Main St. is open daily with a variety of food and drink options. There are wine tasting rooms in Plymouth, and many more a short drive into the Shenandoah valley. If you follow highway 49 south towards Jackson, you can travel through Amador City and Sutter Creek, both are small towns with a lot to offer for shopping, food and drinks.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Chelsey’s home! She was wonderfully helpful and responsive when needed. The place was as-described and located an easy drive away from Jenkinson Lake. We had a great hike all the way around it.

  • Look no further, Chelsey’s home is perfect ! We had such an amazing stay! She is a great host, she responded quickly and answered any questions we had before, during and after our trip. When we arrived we found cute little Valentine’s Day decorations and a clean home full of great amenities ( including a PS4, kitchen utensils, etc) . As stated, the home has 3 bedrooms ( one downstairs & two upstairs) and 2 bathrooms (one upstairs & one downstairs). The deck comes with a beautiful view and plenty of sitting options. The backyard has a big jacuzzi, newly added outdoor sectional, newly added charcoal bbq (with smoker attachment )and a newly added fire pit. As a bonus, Chelsey gives you access to her garage where she has a foosball table, air hockey table, lots of board games and laundry & dryer machines. Overall our experience during this stay could not have been better & I definitely recommend her home! Once again we thank you Chelsey for a great experience and your kind hospitality! 😊

  • We had a great stay at Chelsea’s cabin. We had no problem checking in. We did have a problem with turning on the lights in the hot tub area. We sent her a message and she responded quickly. She was able to get them on for us the next day. There were a lot things in the cabin that were new. She had several new towels for guest to use, new seating area near the hot tub with a mini fire pit. She dropped off a bbq grill for us to use. It was a little odd not being able to control the temperature in the cabin. During the nighttime it would get extremely hot. Would have been nice to change that. It didn’t snow during our stay and even then it took 1 hour to drive to Tahoe each time. I can imagine if it was snowing the drive would have been much longer. On the bright side, Safeway is close by and we were able to buy those last minute things. It wasn’t extremely clean in the kitchen, we had to wash things before using them. We definitely tried to follow all the checkout guidelines to ensure we left everything as requested.

  • I would recommend this stay to anybody and everybody. We will be back

  • Such a great spot for a romantic getaway or a friend's weekend. Air hockey, foosball, hot tub and sledding! Such a wonderful weekend. Check is was cake. Chelsey made sure we were comfortable and had such cute touches around the space for the upcoming Valentine's day! Highly recommend!

  • We really enjoyed Linda’s place. The carpenter suite was very cozy and stylish. Linda was a great host and it was super easy to check in and out. The pleasant surprise was the heated blanket on the bed. We also enjoy meeting their dog Tip!

A short walk to Old Town, this studio hideaway, tucked perched above Main St welcomes you to a private morning sunshine patio, comfy queen bed, quality linens, pillows choices, deep soak tub/shower, your own small kitchen. ( hotel size frig). Our quite street is only 2 blocks from restaurants, shops , hospital & entertainment. Enjoy town events, Stage Coach rides, & historical sites without a car. A 10 minute drive to Apple Hill, Wineries & deep forest with Desolation Wilderness, skiing
Totally private & separate studio apartment in a beautiful secluded downtown setting offers a fully equipped small kitchen(hotel size frig), tub with shower, dining table, small work desk, ample clothes and luggage storage. My goal is to accommodate guests with a clean comfortable 'home' which is totally private with tasteful relaxing interior space, a great queen bed - all in walking distance to town. A home base to enjoy historic downtown shops & eateries, Apple Hill, wineries, skiing, river rafting and Desolation Wilderness. If you are traveling with friends, I have an additional accommodations ( Secret Garden and The Wild Plum) at the same location which can be linked with a hallway or garden walk to your studio.
This is a great little quiet neighborhood on a short street perched above Old Placerville. Hwy 50 and Main Street are little more than a block away, as the crow flys so you may hear the town and hum of the freeway just a bit. Walking to town makes enjoying the freedom from hoping in the car perfect if you want to limit vehicular travel Perched above Old Town Placerville, Stage Coach rides, restaurants, shops. Only a short walk to Old Town, were are a 10 minute drive to Apple Hill Farm or Gold Country Wineries! This super welcoming private Suite is part of a large home that sits above Main Street and was the the talk of the town when it was built in the 50s. It is it's own separate space with a private entrance and quiet seclusion although you only have a short walk to shops and restaurants of downtown. The studio has a comfortable queen bed, quality linens, a small kitchen, closet, personal temperature control, ceiling fan, work desk, small dining table and plenty of storage. Wireless is available and cable TV. You can take your morning cup and sit on the patio during warm weather and wake up slowly. There are two other Airbnb private accommodations available at this location if you are traveling with others who would like to enjoy their own space in proximity. Historic Placerville sprang into being with the largest human migration in world history: the Gold Rush of 1849. It was a rough wild place back then and, for a short time, was named ‘Hang Town’. There are many reminders of that history everywhere you look but now you'll also find hundreds of Gold Country Award Winning Wineries, excellent restaurants, and quaint Shops (don't miss Placerville Hardware - oldest west of the Mississippi), history, wildlife (of all kinds) and just the breathtaking beauty of the Sierras (we are 45 minutes from skiing at Sierra at Tahoe and closer yet for snowshoeing. As a backcountry enthusiast, I will gladly share my favorite places to go. Lake Tahoe or Desolation wilderness are an hour and 15 min away There are wonderful places to eat in Placerville and you can walk to all of them all. For dinner I particularly like The Independent (best all around), Hey Day ( fun and excellent fare with a wonderful wine list), Cascada (very good upscale Mexican/full bar). My favorite for organic espresso and light breakfast fare with some gluten free selections and a coffee bar’s relaxed atmosphere is Totem., especially since it is a short morning walk away Sweetie Pie's is an all time favorite of Placervillians and visited for breakfast. Close by attractions include: Apple Hill Farms ( open at harvest - late August- Dec) Red Hawk Casino Hiking: Desolation Wilderness and Carson Pass are favorites Skiing: 45 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe River Rafting South and Middle Fort of the American River Passport Weekend (wineries put on the 'dog') Christmas in Placerville and the Lighting of the Christmas tree Christmas Tree Farms The Brew Fest in October Daffodil Hill and Bluebird Iris Farms FINDING YOUR HIDEAWAY: When you walk up the step (you'll see the photo in the album), from the street, and go past the birdhouses, along the walkway, you will enter a courtyard and the gate to your private garden will be straight ahead.Enter through the French door, the key will be on the table as you enter. If the day is warm, I will leave the air conditioner on but the nights cool down, so you can turn it off and leave the windows and door open for a fresh breeze (there is also an overhead fan). The neighborhood is safe and you will be secure enough to leave the door open, if you like. For cozy winter nights you will find the fireplace welcoming you inside and a wintery garden view from bed. What could be a better place to start an adventure, whether hiking the Sierras, exploring history, wineries, apple farms, getting into the holiday spirit or meeting up with friend or family, than your own personal and cozy little place that is all yours, not a hotel but living authentic history and beautiful Placerville life. The largest human migration in world history started when gold was discovered 8 miles away in Coloma and Placerville was one of the very earliest communities in California for a short time, it was called ‘Hang Town, because of hanging that happened here durning the infamous gold rush days. Now town is a colorful mix of historic buildings, eateries, and shops While the California wine industry started here in the late 1800s , a blight nearly wiped it out by 1900 but in the last 30 years scores of fantastic winners has sprung up in the surrounding area best known for barbaras and zinfandels. Reminiscent of Napa/Sonoma 40 years ago, most often you will be served by the winemaker and with no charge for tasting The are small intimate wineries, some amazing beautiful grand ones with everything in between. Placerville is the gateway to Apple Hill. From mid August to December apple orchards open to visitors Some, like High Hill Ranch, offer everything Apple and then some (including a stocked pond for trout fishing) other, smaller farms are more specialized during their busy season, it is best to avoid crowds by planing mid week or a morning start to the adventure
