Back to nature in this tranquil little wooden building, beautiful antique windows reveal a gentle vista of rolling hills and open skies. It's Ireland's answer to glamping, (with a solid roof over your head ;) ) yet the feeling of being out in nature.
This is a glamping experience, it is a warm, dry, insulated wooden cabin with a comfortable bed and lovely views. Be prepared to wander through the garden to kitchen and w.c. Umbrella and torch provided. Wifi available in the kitchen cabin, not in the Cosy Cabin itself. Experience the exquisite night-time quiet of the countryside, awaken to the soothing cooing of woodpigeons and the country sounds of rooster 'Jenkins' and his flock of happy hens. Lounge in the garden as Red Kites soar overhead and, in season, snack on organic produce, especially our sweet organic grapes from the polytunnel. Look up at the milkyway sketched across the night sky and inhale sweet clean air. The cabin accommodates 2 people, it has its own solar power supply, its south-east facing big windows provide beautiful views of the surroundings. The bed is a comfortable double and there's a fold out table and chairs and an outdoor picnic table. BREAKFAST: A basket of breakfast goodies will be provided for you to dine at your leisure. A 30 meter stroll through the garden brings you to the kitchen and a wc/shower room which are housed in a separate cabin. You are welcome to cook in the communal kitchen and make teas and coffee (provided) whenever you please. The kitchen has a small fridge, two hot plates and pots and pans. You'll be sharing the kitchen with other guests, you also have the option to eat in your cabin or at your private picnic table. We have a garden Chimenea and you are welcome to light a fire there. But we ask you to bring your own fuel, a bag of logs or bale of briquettes and fire-lighters.
"There is not in this wide world a valley so sweet" Stroll from the house to the beautiful Avondale Arboretum with the Avonmore river flowing down from the Wicklow National Park to the Meeting-of-the-Waters made famous by Thomas Moore's song. A twenty minute drive will bring you to the golden sands of Brittas bay or the stunning beauty of Glendalough. Rathdrum nestles in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and offers direct access to all the beauty "The Garden of Ireland" has to offer. The Wicklow Way & Lugnaquilla mountain are some of the nearby hiking highlights. The Clara Lara Funpark and Greenane Maze and Farm Museum are great for kids. And not to forget the beautiful Avondale Forest Park just a 15min walk from your cabin, the riverwalk there is simply stunning. Have a look at our other listing so you can book for a whole family.

  • We loved this place! If you’re looking for an extraordinary accommodation, definitely book a night or two with Fiona and Edwin. The breakfast was amazing and so caringly prepared (with fresh eggs from their own hens!). We stayed in the smaller of the two cabins (indeed a “cozy cabin”) which was perfect and brought us back to the basics. You don’t need WiFi to go to sleep and it’s much nicer to wake up to the wind blowing through the bushes than cars speeding past your window!

  • I’m astonished as the landowners are so dedicated in each detail. We loved everything! It's a great place to rest. We had a memorable moment there! Thanks!

  • We had an amazing time! Delicious breakfast and country side feel at its best! The cabin was really cosy. Thank you :)

  • The place was fantastic. There was a storm while we stayed there but we were still comfortable and cosy in the cabin. The breakfast was a really nice touch too! Would highly recommend the place.

Stone walled self catering cottage, secluded, great views, excellent walks, close to Arklow and Wicklow towns. An hour from Dublin, Queen size bed and double sleeper couch, separate bathroom, kitchen/living room.Remote location, wifi available.
Spacious, well equipped, authentic old stone cottage, ( circa 1640's). Two levels. Outside deck/patio area. Separate bedroom and bathroom area. Log stove.
The location is remote, no street lights or passing traffic... The quietness at night is unique. The rising sun in the east over the Irish sea is clearly visible from the deck area. The stars at night are magnificent in the clear winter skies. We love the solitude and feeling of space the location provides.
  • Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. Perfect for a nice weekend away

  • Sanchia was a super host! The place was roomy, comfy and had fabulous views. Just like the pictures, if not better! The country roads to the cottage made for a lovely drive. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Super easy check-in and great communication. Some lovely touches included, arriving to homemade scones (still warm!), milk and fresh eggs, the wood burning fire, and the dogs coming to say good morning! Would definitely recommend. A wholly enjoyable stay!

    Siobhan2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had to reroute our honeymoon at short notice and Sanchia was brilliant, leaving a bottle of prosecco for us arriving. Great, quiet location with nature all around and friendly animals. Sanchia is a great host and the amenities are extensive. A really quaint, quiet break and we'll be back.

  • If you’re wondering whether you should book this place; stop wondering and just book it! This is the best way to experience the Irish countryside. Trust me, I was there during the pandemic and still had a safe and lovely time. Sanchia is an amazing host and the Cottage is an amazing place. Feels like home away from home.

    Joshua2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Granary Cottage for one night, and it was the perfect escape from reality. Located a quick 15 minutes from Avoca town, the directions can be found on google maps and were easy to follow. The cottage itself is cosy, very clean with traditional interiors that created the perfect “peaceful getaway”. Sanchia welcomed us on arrival and showed us round the cottage, which was a lovely personal touch to our stay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook yourself a meal, and the woodburning stove kept us cosy all evening. We had a wonderful nights sleep as the place was so quiet! Breakfast on the decking overlooking the valley and Avoca town is a must for the next morning! To top it off, the homemade scones and raspberry jam waiting for us on arrival were a generous final touch which was much appreciated after our journey. Many thanks to Sanchia for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends!

  • The perfect place to get away from it all. Greeted each morning by dogs and ducks. Far from the madding crowd, if you want to get away from everyone it's the perfect home from home, great selection of books, video and WiFi that works. Wonderful views and great walks close by. I would have been happy to be stuck here. Dawn

  • This was the perfect farm getaway! We enjoyed roaming around the farm, watching the animals, and curling up next to the fire in the evenings! Great stay!

    Wendy2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cute and cozy! Fireplace warmed us and a hot bath nice. Bed had heating blanket’s if needed but we slept great without them. We choose to pay more and eat breakfast with family. Breakfast was great but company even better. The pub they recommended had great food and was a brewery. What really made it was the special beers and being only 10 minutes away by car. The girls even enjoyed a beer that was a cross between a cider and smooth light beer. Ginger beer. Would definitely recommend it for a real farm experience.

    Gary2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Such a cute cottage away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Location was close to many hiking trails and the scenery was amazing! You’ll miss out if you don’t book with Selena!!!

    Charsie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The farm of Selena and Alex is a perfect place to switch off, warm up next to the warm oven in rainy weather and go on great trips. All animals are very tame and trusting - you are greeted with love and get your money's worth when cuddling. The fields are what you would imagine Ireland to be, and even in February there were cute lambs. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired - you can borrow shoes on site to explore the farm. Communication works great - that's why it can be recommended without any restrictions!

    Irina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Selena was great about communicating and had the cutest little cottage room for us to stay in. Fire was nice, but we had such cold days and being out all day it was a bit hard to keep it as warm as we would’ve liked. Although Selena kept heated blankets on the beds and lots of wood to stock up the fire so we managed just fine once we got it up and roaring! We definitely had a good time exploring Wicklow, hiking, and having a can of Guinness while hanging out by the fire at night. Definitely worth the experience if you want to enjoy the real farmland of Ireland. (I really loved feeding the chickens and ducks) :)

    Allison2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for “rustic”, as I was, this is the perfect place for you.

    Kam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing opportunity! A chance to really work on a farm was a dream for this city girl. The cottage was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of places right on the farm to walk and explore. Hosts were great and offered lots of info regarding the area and things to do.

    Denise2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • SpringFarm is a beautiful and idyllic working farm which considering being located in the rural Irish countryside is only a 10 minute drive from the nearest motorway. The accommodation itself is a 3 roomed traditional cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen/dinning room which hosts an amazing little log burner fire. Awaiting you is an information book pertaining to the farm and things to do and see in the area as well as pans, cutlery and condiments. The hosts Alex and Selena are absolutely brilliant; despite leaving you to come and go and explore as you please they are always happy to help and assist in any way they can. We felt very comfortable and at home here we did also have some car issues whilst we were over here and they literally bent over backwards to do everything they could to help us out. No areas of the farm were off limits we had a lot of fun venturing through the surrounding fields taking in the breathtaking countryside and meeting all the animals along the way. Long story short this is a fantastic little place to stay for anybody who is looking to enjoy and explore the true countryside. Thank you so much for having us we are very much hoping to come out and stay with you again soon 😁

  • Fantastic cottage in peaceful rural location. Convenient to many lovely local walks and village of Rathdrum. The cottage is modern, warm, clean and comfortable. Situated on a large garden with total privacy (despite cottage being close to main house) and rural views. Cottage has a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, wood burning stove and decent shower. Tom and Ellie are great hosts and an environmentally conscious family. It’s lovely to see what they’ve done with their land re: growing food and trees and keeping pigs. The fact the place is pet friendly is an added bonus. Highly recommended and great value.

    Jen2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tom’s place was lovely, the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The cottage has everything you need, from cooking supplies to jigsaws and dvd’s. There was also a folder full of helpful information, including details of nearby walks with beautiful views. We would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again. • Tom’s place is clean and tidy, it has a comfortable layout with everything you need for a couple to stay. We brought our dogs and it was great to see them made welcome also. The fire was lit for us when we arrived which was cosy. The kitchen has lots of bits and pieces in it rather than being bare of food and everything we needed was there. Tom was friendly, made sure we had what we needed and was happy to talk to us about finding things to do.

    Lyndsay2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage in a really nice setting. Really close to a lot of amazing sites in Wicklow, we really enjoyed hiking Glendalough and walking Brittas Bay beach. Facilities in the cottage are great, perfect for cooking a meal and relaxing in front of the fire for the evening. Loads of really helpful tips of sites to see in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here, as did our dog who spent most of the evenings running around with the dogs who live there. We will be definitely be back.

    Christopher2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's place was ideal - great facilities, lovely setting and Tom was really helpful and friendly. Tom and Elli's guidebook of local tips was particularly helpful. Both of us and our dog had a fab weekend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for any future Wicklow adventures.

  • Bernie's place is perfectly located in Bray, close to pretty much everything! Bernie, Leon and Aran were amazing hosts and provided me with a soft spot to land when moving to Ireland. Will definitely pop in for a visit when I can again :-)

  • The location of the house is perfect to visit Dublin and Wicklow mountains at the same time, as it takes very little time to get to both places. Bray itself is a really nice place for a weekend, and this house is situated in a quiet area just a couple of minutes far from the beach and restaurants. The house is full of beautiful paintings and the decoration is really nice. Everything was tidy and clean. But best of all was that they made us feel at home. We will repeat

Modern , bright and one open plan kitchen/sittingroom.
Built beside the sea, this is a bird sanctuary and a nature reserve. Neptune was a small holiday home. Rebuilt eight years ago. It's small, modern and bright.
On the beach and the nature trail 'The Wicklow Way' is at the doorstep.
  • Miriam's house is in a nice location right next to the beach. Miriam was away while we were there so we had the house to ourselves, including the use of all the amenities, which made our stay even more good value. Miriam was very friendly and happy for us to use or borrow things, including trusting us to use the fireplace, and letting us borrow her dry robe after a swim in the sea! Some things to note - the listing says there is WiFi but this is currently not the case, though apparently it will be sorted in the future, and the listing says there is an iron, which is correct, but there is no ironing board. And finally, there are now two kittens living in the house - this was great for us as we love cats, but they have free roam of the house and are very active so you definitely need to be a cat person to stay here at the moment!

    Beth2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • In the end we were not able to spend the night at Miriam due to issues with transport and Miriam was super understanding and gave us a refund. We were very upset because the area looks beautiful! Would recommend

Hi Friends. Mine is a modern, peaceful, 1st floor, 2-bed appartment in lovely Monkstown beside the sea. There are lovely sea walks all round with quant city villages and a wide variety of top class restaurants, cafés, bars and shopping. There's a cinema 5 mins walk, a suburban train and buses to centre (20 mins away) and direct buses to the airport. The flat has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living room cum kitchen, lots of storage, small balcony with large communal garden and roof garden.
The entrance to the flat is on the ground floor, so no climbing or lifts, but once in the appartment you're on the first floor up. You'll understand when you see it. Must be an Irish thing! There is very good wifi coverage throghout. Shoes can be taken off and stored safely outside the entrance door to my flat. I have an extensive library of books which are most welcome to browse.
There are lovely sea walks all round with quant city villages and a wide variety of top class restaurants, cafés, bars and shopping. There's a cinema and shopping centre 5 mins walk away. The best public library in Ireland is 10 mins walk away in Dún Laoghaire which also has a vibrant theatre and shopping street. The James Joyce tower and museum plus the famous 40 foot swimming area are 20 mins walk. Beside me in Monkstown there are about 12 different cafe's, pubs and restaurants. For a great Irish Steak try FX Buckley, for a unique Italian experience you must try That's Amoré. And tell Chris at Café Journal that Seán sent you and that I told him to behave himself! Ask what the Latin slogan n the staff t-shirts mean too. Sums up Chris!

  • Charming place to stay for a few days, 20 min walk from the center of the town and the sea, a lot to do around available with trains or buses. The hotes are great, a lot of little attention when we arrived, like sweats, fruit, basic food as eggs milk bread, or the maps and instruction of the house printed in our language. The bed is great and the all place is realy quiet.

Petals is situated in a rural setting, yet only a five minute drive to to Greystones village and DART station. Also not far away are the towns of Bray, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin City to the north. And we are a short drive away from Glendalough, Enniskerry and the heart of the garden of Ireland - Co Wicklow. Great for country walks and seaside strolls. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the neighbourhood and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Petals is for the use of guests solely and is situated in our back garden. Guests will be able to access the room via the side passage making it convenient for coming and going. The Room has it's own toilet facilities and shower, as well as a Kitchenette with Kettle, Microwave and Fridge.
  • A lovely place with lots of beautiful neighborhoods and villages to walk around. The Whistle Stop down the street was a convenient place to stock up on supplies too, within walking distance! There were a number of thoughtful things Grace did while we were staying that I really appreciated. Oh! And the garden around the place was REALLY lovely!

    Brant2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • An address to remember, a warm Irish welcome and a nice little nest. Well connected by bus as much for Greystones, Bray or Dublin. Grace is a charming hostess. I highly recommend.

  • Grace is one of the best hosts i‘ve ever met. Checking-in was super easy and Petals is just lovely, really nice interior and she even got a selection of teas or cereals you can choose from. The location is also great - there‘s a bus stop 1 minute away and it takes around 1 hour to get to Dublin. Grace is extremly nice and caring, she even baked us some muffins. We just had an overall perfect experience and felt very welcome.

Great if you rent a car though I am sure there are ways to enjoy without. We easily drove to glendalough and then into dublin city center for a night out. Would love to come back!

  • Pat and Ann are the warmest, most wonderful hosts. They became friends the week I was there. I learned a lot about Ireland from them. Bray was my favorite place in Ireland. Beautiful hikes, good food, easy bus transport, great charity shops. Mostly, I enjoyed spending time with Ann and Pat.

    Wendy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick and Anne are great hosts and did everything they could to make us feel at home for our long stay. The location is great, its proximity to public transit made going into Bray and Dublin easy and painless. I’m very glad to have stayed here!

    Madison2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Patrick's place was great! It was in a very quiet neighborhood, it was very nice to take a walk in the morning to go to the seafront. When he can, Patrick offered himself to take me to the seafront by car. All his family was very kind. Really nothing bad to say, I also had breakfast in the morning. I couldn't ask for nothing more. :)

    Alessio2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bray is an attractive seaside town with excellent train and bus connections to Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Stillorgan. There are a great many small Shops, charity Shops and Cafes, and some decent Pubs, plus an excellent promenade along the Seafront. Patrick and Anne live a little way out of town, probably 15 minutes by foot, but the 145 bus goes through Bray and then on to Dublin, and normally arrives every 10 minutes, and the Bus Stop is about 200 hundred yards from Pat's front door, and there is also a local shop where necessities can be bought Patrick was always willing to offer the daily paper or a cup of tea, and tried to make me feel welcome, for a stay which lasted over 2 months and where we had really no problems. Anne organised everything else, I had access to a washing machine and the lounge, with a personal fridge and some space to keep anything which I bought to eat or drink. The bedroom was relatively small, but comfortable and equipped with a small computer table from which I could do some work when necessary All in all very good hosts and a very pleasant location

  • Berna was the loveliest host, extremely hospitable, flexible and helpful. She gave me a lot of very good tips about the area and helped me with all of my questions. The house is really lovely, clean and cosy. The location is excellent for people that want to explore the area around Dublin, the dart station is only a 10 minute walk from the house and gets you to Dublin as well as lovely little towns like Duin Laoghaire and Bray ( which is only a 6 minute ride away and has great pubs). All in all the best accommodation I could have picked and the best host I could have asked for.

BEFORE BOOKING PLEASE READ OUR MANUAL, THIS COTTAGE IS OFF GRID WITH NON-STANDARD FACILITIES :) Our tranquil little wood cottage is a peaceful oasis in the hills of Co Wicklow. Tanglewood cottage is nestled behind our home, The Old Schoolhouse, while maintaining complete privacy, it overlooks the neighbouring farm fields, valley and the Wicklow mountains in the distance. Spend your days exploring all that Wicklow and the Ancient East have to offer and relax in the evenings by the wood fire.
One king size bed (folds up against the wall for more space during the day) and one sofa bed (suitable for children). Kitchen is fitted with caravan cooker and sink, mini fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. Indoor bathroom is fitted with a full sink with storage, caravan toilet wall hooks for hanging towels or toiletry bags. This is also suitable for extra guests or kids/teens that want to camp out in a tent or cleaning up after a hard day hiking, cycling, etc. Wake up in the morning and enjoy eggs fresh from our flock of 12 hens, known as The Fluffy Ladies, available for purchase as needed.
Nestled behind The Old Schoolhouse on Kilcoole Road, Tanglewood Cottage is located in Greystones between Delgany and Kilcoole. Our little neighbourhood is known as Knockroe and lovely historic houses and farm fields. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from Kilcoole village with plenty of pubs, restaurants and takeaways, pharmacy, Tesco Express, petrol station and more. Also a short drive from Druid's Glen Resort with 5 star restaurant, pub and luxury spa or pop over to Glenroe Farm for some fun with kiddos. A large Tesco (with clothing and household items) and Supervalu are located in Greystones as well as an Aldi and Lidl. The amazing Kilruddery House & Gardens is located a short drive away between Bray and Greystones on Southern Cross Road. Killruddery features an artisan market every Saturday and a farm shop open daily. • Jenny and Andrew are such a lovely couple, they were always available when we needed to ask them anything both before our trip and while we were there. The views from the cabin were beautiful and the log fire was the perfect touch to end the evening. There was 3 of us staying in this small cabin and found it was perfect for us. The incredible use of space ment everything we needed was perfectly placed . Thank you so much for having us :)

Elbren Cottage has been our home for 6years now,but it has been a home for some 120 years. The accommodation is attached but independent of our own dwelling with its own private entrance and private off street parking. It is a self contained unit. It is a gentle 10 stroll to the town centre. There are many pubs eateries and places of interest in both the town and local environs. We are located very close to Tinakilly house and only a few min away.
There is a small garden next to the cottage for guests and a bbq and fire pit is provided ,so in the summer you are more than welcome to use it. There is also a patio set .
Elbren cottage is a lovely quiet place yet very close to the town centre .
  • Perfect night away. They have great tips for the area available and it was a great stay. Feel comfortable immediately, lots of effort put into this and it truly shows.

On arrival there was homemade scones, prosecco and even face masks for us. I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a nice peaceful relaxing night away. The jacuzzi and the fire were the icing on the cake. We woke up feeling very refreshed today after it 😁 5*+

  • Janette was an excellent host, helping me adjust to living in Ireland. Her and her children were incredibly friendly. I booked a 3 wk stay while finding permanent lodgings in Dublin after relocating to Ireland from Canada. Nice quiet Irish house in a beautiful location. Greystones has a small town feel, but is easily accessible to Dublin center via public transit (bus/Dart). Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short, but I would stay again when I return to Dublin. Highly recommend!

    Elijah2020-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great value. Really quiet room with comfy bedding, I had a nice sleep. And Janette is a lovely host.

    Ushasri2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Janettes place, very flexible and accommodating with arrival time, fantastic inviting host, offered use of kitchen for coffee etc, room clean, bed and pillows comfortable and warm, you couldn't ask for anything better for such a reasonable price. Would have no problem recommending for others, bus right outside the door, so easy to commute in and out of Dublin, happily stay again, thanks

Our off-grid Tiny House is nestled in amongst a grove of pine trees in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. With an airy loft bed space, large kitchen and complete tiny bathroom, our cute little cottage in the country is the perfect place to relax. 45 min drive into the heart of Dublin City or short train ride. Close to lots of walking trails. Popular cycling route. 5 min drive from town.
Tiny House living means a more simple way of living, however walking into the space it feels much bigger than expected. The cosy bedroom loft has a roof window so you can watch the stars at night or the birds and clouds float passed during the day. Simply slide the ladder across the rail to climb up into the loft sleeping space! A small fridge, oven, stove and everything else you need to make a big feast, in a small house! Our Tiny House is very well insulated and has gas fire to keep you cosy in the Winter. The house is fully off grid and runs on solar electricity and rain fall tank water (we recommend to bring your own drinking water), compost toilet, gas heating and cooking. NOTE: Because this is an off-grid house there is a chance one of the systems may not work (e.g. if there has not been sun for a long time the solar battery will have no power). The house is equipped with a trouble-shooting guide to assist if this is the case. It is all part of the fun of the off-grid experience!
The Wicklow Mountains are beautiful with lots of walking trails and natural sites. The Lane our tiny house is on is a beautiful walk on its own, and we have a lovely view of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a very peaceful area with lots of birds and trees. 5 min drive to Newtown MountKennedy, a small town with a Dunnes Store supermarket and restaurants. 10 min walk to Djouce Golf Club 17 min drive to Guinness Lake 24 min drive to Glendalough 15 min drive to the ocean (Greystones) 40 min drive into Dublin City or a short train ride from Greystones Station
  • The place is unbelievable. It's cozy unconnected and all you need to enjoy a great time on the calm Wicklow. Evething around and perfect.. the communication was good with the owners and the staff.

    Andres2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is very cozy and comfortable. U got everything u need here and there are so many attractions to see. We definitely want to come back and stay longer.

    Marco2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house is perfect for discovering Ireland. In addition to charming accommodation, walking and cycling are close by, as are Dublin's pubs. I recommend !

  • Great place, full of love. One of the most special Airbnb's ever!!

    Michel2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the lovely tiny house und the beautiful natural surrounding!

    Adina2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home is beautiful, scenic, and charming, with more than enough amenities to make an off-grid experience surpass most other plugged-in homes. The home is remote yet ideally located within the Wicklow mountains, an easy distance from neighboring towns and hikes. The care which the owners put into its design, construction, and maintenance is apparent in every detail. We would highly recommend this space to anyone interested in staying in Wicklow!

    Henry2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s place is a little piece of calm: a great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. It is beautiful up in the mountains where the tiny house is! The tiny house is really cosy and welcoming. It has thoughtful little touches and decor that make you feel at home. It is well equipped and there is lots of information on local things to do (which is great when you’re there to do a bit of hiking/sightseeing). We would definitely come back!

    Scott2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was always available, if you had questions and knew everything a quick answer! The cottage itself was really cute and we felt like in our own little cottage Sweden! For people who want to experience a first Tiny House experience (like us), "The Rocks" is really recommended!

  • Lovely and quiet place close to Sugarloaf and Powerscourt Waterfall. Room looked better than I've expected from the pictures, all was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very nice and helpful. I can only recommend! Note for those who are planning to go to Ballybawn without car: make sure you'll have enough food supplies for your stay, because there are no shops or restaurants nearby.

  • This was my first time using Air B&B so to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my worries were gone straight away after meeting Bridie and Edward. The room was really cosy with a lovely touch of the scented candle and there was a sitting room made available also. Lovely friendly people who went out of their way to help us, couldn’t ask for more. Great location also only 15 minutes drive from Bray Main Street, and house itself set in great scenery. Couldn’t recommend this host enough to people.

  • Really nice, clean, cute place. Cosy and comfortable with amazing hosts nearby to answer any queries or help if needed. We checked in in the evening and was met with a well lit, warm place. There were great amenities and the view surrounding is so pretty. Sharon and Andrew gave so many local information to get out and about if you wanted and even had out bread, eggs, a pizza, milk etc for us. It was a perfect little private getaway and honestly, nothing could be better. We really recommend.

  • Perfect place to stop for exploring the local area. All amenities you would ever need are at this self contained appt. Loved the derelict 11th century church in the field behind and The Grove pub up the road is handy too. Train into Dublin from Greystones is a must a very picturesque ride along the coast. • We had a really nice stay at this place! It‘s perfect for getting out of the city over the weekend. Andrew & Sharon were very friendly, and available if needed. Thanks!

    Iva2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew’s place was perfect for a couple containing a stylish space, a quiet location and a great view. Andrew responded quickly when needed and gave us good tips on how to spend the day in nearby Greystones and Bray. Coming from the south on the Freeway, it was quite tricky finding the right exit as it is not signposted but google maps does help. We really enjoyed our short stay and would stay again if we return to Ireland one day. Thank you Andrew and Sharon for being such welcoming hosts.

Characterful converted coach house set in courtyard near Delgany Co. Wicklow. Sleeps 5 in 2 double rooms. House has all mod cons but is a restoration work in progress! Acres of overgrown grassland for dogs to run around!
Beautiful bright and spacious house only 2km from Delgany and 5km from Greystones, and convenient to the N11 and M50. Accommodation offered is in two double bedrooms one of which also has an additional single bed. We can also make our daughters bedroom with bunk beds available on request. We can provide a cot if required. There is a bathroom with shower and bath and 24 hour hot water. We also have a downstairs loo. We have a very large open plan kitchen dining sitting area which is a very sociable space. Immediately outside the house is a courtyard which is a great sun trap and we have outdoor furniture if you want to enjoy the sun. The house is set in some 7 acres but the grounds are a bit overgrown; not really a garden as such. Please do bear in mind this is a 300 year old stone built house which has an abundance of charm but it is not a boutique city apartment! We are restoring the house as a work in progress and whilst comfortable, don't expect the same levels of finish as in a brand new building!
Delgany is in the 'The Garden of Ireland' Co. Wicklow. In the village there is a very good pub, restaurant, bakery which is was voted one of the best foodie places in Ireland, and an upmarket deli market. Greystones, which is by the sea, has trains to Dublin and beyond, a range of supermarkets, pubs and all the amenities you would expect in a town. Other popular areas and attractions nearby are Glendalough, Powerscourt, Avoca Handweavers, Killruddery House and more. Several popular golf courses and outstanding restaurants are within a 10 km radius.
  • Loved the well equipped kitchen and location. And very much enjoyed the rustic setting. Clement was very responsive and helpful. As he said to us, it is a work in progress. Not all rooms renovated and yard has several old vehicles in it. But the work that has been done - especially kitchen and bath- are nice. Would love to come back someday and see the finished project.

    Tom & Sylvia2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this truly unique & cosy home. We especially loved the open plan living area filled with beautiful art & lots of natural light. Clement was a fantastic host providing us with a cot for our newborn son & leaving us with kitchen essentials. The house is perfectly located for exploring Wicklow & was lovely that our dogs could stay also. We would definitely come back - Thanks again.

    Sarah2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house is amazing. It is in a countryside style but with all the comfort. The surroundings are in the middle of the nature so we had a great and peaceful time there. We loved it!

    Eva2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely house in a quiet secluded location. We'd a lovely stay, thanks.

    Richard2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely open plan living space downstairs which feels really homely and a great space to relax in. Clement left his children's toys out for our daughter to play with which was great as we didn't have to lug loads of stuff with us to entertain her. It was cold when we were there but the massive log burner kept the whole place nice and toasty. Its located really well for exploring the Wicklow mountains and not far from Dublin. Bread and milk were provided which was a nice touch too .We felt very at home and had a great stay.

Newly refurbished studio apartment with private entrance off of family home. Large ensuite shower room and WC. Wifi, cable TV and office desk in place. Large storage units including a fridge and microwave. This studio apt will come serviced with fruit, juice, coffee, breakfast cereals, yogurts etc. This would be very suitable for a commuting professional or someone passing through as a tourist.
The apt is located right beside the N11 and one of the main buss corridors into Dublin city cente (25 min). The airport bus also stops right beside the apt as well.
Safe suburb on south side of Dublin. Excellent transport links to airport and city centre. Large super market, restaurants and a very large park within 5 min walk.
  • A very nice and tidy room, excellently equipped and great value for money - even when you take into account the money you will spend on bus tickets to get you there and back. The bust stop is close and buses straight to the city run every few minutes with a travel time of 30 min. There’s stuff to see in Cabinteely as well, such as the lovely park. A shopping centre can be found in the neighbourhood, as well as pubs and restaurants further down the road. If you’re staying for a longer period of time, you’ll love the washing machine - just remember to turn on the air dehumidifier, otherwise your laundry will never dry. Don’t hope for a great view out of the window (it’s just a suburban street), watch the TV instead, it has a great selection of channels to keep you entertained on a rainy day. All in all, a gret place to stay!

    Matti2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan and his family was very kind and lovely. He helped me a lot what to see in the neighborhood. The room met my needs, it was very compact and clean. I highly recommend this accomodation.

  • This is a great studio room with everything you might need. It is on a quiet street, yet 5mn from a Dunnes supermarket and the bus stop. So it's handy to UCD and TCD. Bryan is a lovely and welcoming host. I would 100% recommend!

    Audrey2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan and his family were very friendly and welcoming hosts. The room has a separate entrance so it's private, small but very cozy. Communication with Bryan was smooth, he's an extremely helpful chap. This is what I call Irish hospitality!

  • Bryan is the best person I could meet in Ireland. I had a really bad experience when I arrived and he helped me with everything. He helped me with all the tramits I needed to do and he was really kindly. That’s the best hostman I’ve ever met in Airbnb. As the room, it has all the things you need and it’s very comfortable, you can have as much contact with the family as you want.

  • Absolute gentleman of a host and lovely place, would absolutely recommend!

    James2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan is a kind and considerate host. His house is very clean and the studio perfect for a single traveler. I had everything I needed and more. Bryan also took the time to drive me to the supermarket that is just few minutes walking from the house. The neighbourhood area is green and provides everything you might need. in I was in Dublin only one day for a conference, so I cannot say much more, but the transport to and from Bryan's place was ideal, the bus quick and with frequent connections. Highly recommended!

Aughrim Lodge is very conveniently situated: It is on the doorstep of many amenities in the Wicklow/Ashford area: Tinakilly House Hotel (1.2 kms) Hunter's Hotel (2kms) Mount Usher Gardens (3kms) Wicklow town (5kms). Glendalough/Wicklow Mountains National Park 25 mins plus a 20min clear motorway drive to the outskirts of South Dublin. We do not supply breakfast - A full Irish breakfast is available at a very reasonable cost at a cosy restaurant in next door Applegreen Garage.
The accommodation is made up of a private, non-shared suite of rooms comprising a twin bedroom, separate full bathroom and lounge. This is within the main house.
There are many and varied pubs in the area for delicious bar food. Tinakilly House and Hunter's Hotel - both within a 14 min walking distance, provide bar food as well as more formal dining options. The Chester Beatty Pub in Ashford - 4 kms away, has a reputation for very nice bar food.
  • Gorgeous home, comfy beds and private bathroom. Marguerite and her husband couldn’t of done more for our night stay. They also dropped us to the venue for a wedding we were attending which was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend!

Marguerite was kind and welcoming and the bedroom, living area and bathroom were spacious, clean and comforting- perfect to end a day spent exploring Wicklow mountains. It’s in a great location, close to the motorway and Wicklow mountains, and with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Thanks again for a wonderful stay :)

Small wooden recently refurbished cottage in my garden with its own separate entrance. Suitable for 3 travellers in a quiet residential area, about a mile from main street, Bray. Convenient to DART bus service is outside the estate. Fully self contained, with electric shower, washing machine dryer, iron & ironing board, microwave, TV, and free wireless broadband. Parking area. You’ll love my place because of the quiet private cosiness & the location, near sea, mountain walks and town!
We live in a quiet 5 bedded bungalow, myself and my son. I work part time as a Nurse/Psychotherapist/ Nutrition coach and Teacher - Depends what day - what hat I wear!! My son Matthew is 18 years old and loves music. We have 2 very friendly little rescue dogs, Dumpy ( called that by the guy who rescued him, because he was dumped out of a car!) and Loo Loo! ; and of course also our affectionate cat Tuddie! The cottage is situated in my garden and is a warm and comfortable space to get way from it all! It consists of a sleeping area for 2 - 3 people, small kitchenette and ensuite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has everything needed to cook with small fridge and washing machine and dryer. The Cottage also has its own separate entrance from the my home so you can be as independent as you would like!
Our house is located in a lovely green quiet up-scale safe neighbourhood close to all local shops and 2 minutes by car to the Main Street in Bray which is very close to the sea front/promenade where there are numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from. Our part of the country is called The Garden of Ireland and is very close to the Wicklow Mountain National Park with the famous Glendalough.
  • Nice and clean. Very private and no intrusions of any sort. Would definitely visit again.

  • Love the privacy of having a separate cabin, but still close enough to Gabby if we needed anything. Gabby was always available when we had a question to ask. We really liked that the kitchen had everything we could need. Highly recommend for privacy, comfort, and a short drive to many attractions and restaurants!

  • A magical, friendly place to stay with a very kind and communicative host. The location is fantastic for bussing into Dublin, good for taking the DART in, and great to return to after admiring Bray Head and the waterfront. Gabby's dogs are super sweet, too! We wish we had planned more time here. Can't say enough nice things :)

  • Amazing location and fantastic hosts. This little cabin is a spacious yet cosy get away. With stunning views and everything you need for a few tranquil days away. Very clean and the hosts made sure we had fire wood for the two days we were there. Would highly recommend

    Charlene2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place is gorgeous with lovely surroundings full of animals, flowers and even a pond. The cabin has a small kitchen with everything you might need to cook, a lovely fireplace and a bedroom with views to the pond. Killian and Jurgita are 2 of the nicest hosts you could ever find. We got there by train from Dublin to Rathdrum and with Mick Dunbar's taxi from Rathdrum to the cabin. The fireplace was on when we got there and we were greeted with sweets and local produce from their own farm. In these strange times, when all news seem like bad news, a peaceful retreat like this cabin is a safe haven where you can relax to the sounds of nature and the warmth of a cosy fire.

We were received with such hospitality, basics in the fridge and some fresh eggs from their chickens. The surrounding area was also spectacular to explore when the weather allowed.
