  • This is truly the best place the location is incredible for going out in the day and coming back to the lovely warm fire and hot tub or just stay in enjoying the lovely scenery around the pod. There was a variety of games to keep us entertained at all times. 100% recommend and will be coming back.

  • Had such a fantastic weekend at Ambers place! Very cosy and amazing area for walking!! Would 100% recommend!

  • We went for a 30th Birthday and it was lovely! Amber was a lovely host and easily contactable she showed us everything before she left, made sure we was happy, and made it known she was available 24/7 if anything happened! The pod was stunning, and the views are incredible! It is private and you have the hot tub and kitchen to yourselves which was great for us! I would highly recommend, such a lovely place for such a great price you can’t beat it! I would stay again!

  • This was a really special place to get away from it all. The rural location of the dome, set in a private garden, with hot tub and sauna, was just magical. All the little touches - wood burning fire, blankets, games, flowers, fully equipped kitchen, fairy lights - made this a warm, cosy little holiday. Our boys (15 and 12) happily went without their gadgets for two whole days and had the best time.

    Chris2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The dome was a fantastic place to stay. Huge size, great views, nice king size bed with an infrared sauna and an outdoor hot tub to boot. Our stay was made extra special by Virginia who went out of her way to ensure that our return to the dome as a newly engaged couple was unforgettable. Highly recommend... you will not be disappointed.

  • We have just spent a long weekend at the dome for my friends hen do. The farm and it’s surrounding setting is beautiful and it was so lovely to have our own garden, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and bathroom/sauna building to ourselves, the amenities were all excellent. Amber was an amazing host and helped us to get the fire in the dome going and ensured we could relight it to keep toasty warm the following day, she also helped out when one of our party had a flat tyre before we left! Everyone at the farm was super friendly and gave us plenty of help with regards to good local walks and places to visit. We can’t recommend the dome and Amber enough and would all love to come back for another visit as we felt so welcome.

Booked the dome for a friend’s hen weekend. Got a lovely greeting on arrival from the owners of the farm. It was very private. Hot tub and sauna were great additions. Would definitely book again!

  • An absolutely stunning little retreat in Wales. It felt ever so special driving up to the Castle and being greeted by peacocks roaming around before meeting the warm and welcoming Prue. The room was gorgeous and everything we needed was there and all super clean. Highly recommend for a quiet retreat away from it all.

    Tanya2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! Getting to stay in a castle and have such lovely hosts (Prue and Steve), we couldn't have asked for anymore!

    David2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The castle was the perfect mini break. Prue is an amazing host who gave us so much information on the local area. Breakfast was fantastic. Can't recommend enough.

    Jessica2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rich in history, the castle is set in a charming countryside setting. Prue and Steve are wonderful hosts and are very welcoming. The natural environment makes for a relaxing and quiet stay.

  • A great location, fantastic accommodation, an amazing garden and all made better by two lovely hosts. Thank you both.

    Sarah2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay!!! Such a cool experience to stay in a castle, it was beautiful.

    Heidi2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place at a great value. The public gardens are beautiful and well taken care of. No complaints. The place is even complete with a wonderfully friendly cat and dog that roam the castle and grounds.

    Kevin2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tranquility and peacefulness is incredible. I sat sketching in the rosegarden and wandered around on my own for a couple of hours, while my partner was resting upstairs and it was very, very lovely. It's not just a castle, it's a warm and welcoming home and that is what makes it even more special. Prue and her husband (must) work very hard but manage to make it look and feel effortless. Loved that the gardens are very well kept, but not overly 'tamed'.

  • Lovely to return to the Cwtch. Great location for exploring Pembrokeshire and a lovely and cosy hide away from the Welsh weather.

    Charlotte2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Great size for 2 people, very nicely decorated and has everything you need and more. It feels very private and Glyn qnd Jill were very nice. Would stay again :)

    Rena2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Cwtch is a wonderful little retreat! A perfect size for two people. The space was spotless and there were plenty of amenities for cooking, washing etc. Coming back to the Cwtch after cold days of walking and swimming was lovely. Glyn was very friendly and happy to answer any queries we had. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cosy base to explore the beautiful Pembroke coast. Thank you Glyn and Jill!

    Edward2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night here and it is faultless! Easy check-in, Glyn was very nice and friendly and explained everything we needed to know! The off-street parking was awesome to have, and the place itself is like a studio apartment separate from the main house, very warm and insulated! The heart wall is adorable :) the place has everything you could want! Since Glyn and jill had nobody arriving the day we left, we were told we could leave whenever - we had a lovely relaxed morning and are very grateful for their flexibility! Would definitely recommend this place!

Walk down the wooded valley right from the back door of this restored historic miner's cottage. Period features like flagstone floors and beamed, vaulted ceilings meet contemporary conveniences such as underfloor heating and a free-standing tub.
A lovely spacious cottage with rustic Pembrokeshire character situated right next to the coast. Two double bedrooms, open plan living area, large kitchen and spacious veranda. The cottage is located close to Nolton Haven, Newgale, Little haven and druidston beach. All of which have pubs and restaurants to suit your needs. The cottage accommodates 4 people. There is a good sized master bedroom with amazing views and a kingsized bed. There is a second bedroom with a comfy double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have adequate storage and hanging space for clothes. The main bathroom has a stand alone bath, which is great for relaxing. The cottage has an office room which could accommodate an extra guest on a sofa bed. The kitchen is fitted with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and all necessary utensils. The open plan living room has a comfy sofa, a "42" flat screen TV, record player, books to browse through and a range of board games. The cottage has under floor heating, access to wifi, internet connection and use of a washing machine and dryer. Overlooking the flowery meadow is the south facing veranda which is perfect for watching the dramatic coastal sunsets. The cottage is situated by national trust woodland, so it is not uncommon to see birds of prey, foxes and the residential barn owl.
Situated in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park and surrounded by National Trust land, Carren Bach cottage is part of the Southwood Estate. Spot all kinds of wildlife, surf, and discover numerous nearby villages, pubs, and restaurants.
  • Had an amazing 3 night stay in Carren Bach. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, everything is so tastefully decorated. Hot tub is incredible with amazing views. Lots of board games to keep us entertained when the weather wasn't so good. We had absolutely everything we could have needed for a lovely break. Would definitely return.

    Bethany2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What else to say that hasn't already been said in all of the other 5* reviews? We had a wonderful weekend relaxing and unwinding, even in the rain this place is still magical. As another review said, if you're thinking about booking here, just do it!

    Henry2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re after a stunning, secluded location, yet close to amenities, an increasingly space full of character and are inspiring decor and views.... look no further!! We could have moved in and wished we could have stayed far longer. We hope to visit again in summertime. Watching the sun go down in the hot tub was certainly a highlight I’d like to repeat!

    Mariza2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This property is amazing. No detail is forgotten about and the whole place is stunning. The photos show the property off well, bit don’t do it justice! We stayed during a pretty stormy weekend and the weather actually made the weekend better - the underfloor heating is lovely, the living area is stunning and the light and airy upstairs bedroom has wonderful views, whether the sun is shining or the rain and wind beating down (the feature window!). The owners have kitted this place out so there is nothing you want for, the retro record player was a brilliant touch (along with an excellent and “varied” record collection), as is the coffee machine. Obviously though, the hot tub is the main “extra”, being based in a very cool hut with sliding barn doors so you can enjoy wide views outside whilst being out of the elements if the weather is harsh (as it was when we were there!). It’s amazing to sit sheltered in the hut (with the cool retro decor) whilst the elements do their thing. Would fully recommend this property and we can’t wait to go back in warmer months to enjoy the outdoor spaces (BBQ area, seating deck and lawns).

    Alex2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with my wife and 1 year old child. Would give it 6 stars if I could, absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to any couples on their own or with a small child as the under floor heating and cleanliness makes it great for them to crawl around on. The itinerary was great and Emma gave us some ideas for things to do, just think beaches, small towns, coffee shops, pub lunches etc. A must book if you haven’t already stayed here, breathtaking views and you genuinely feel like you’re ’off the grid’ in your own little world.

    Maniel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable experience at Carren Bach. We wanted somewhere to unwind and escape our busy lives. Emma was a super host made us feel very welcome and very helpful. The place is beautiful and very cosy.

    Dafne2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Carren Bach Cottage, which kept us warm and cosy throughout the storm! The rooms were beautiful and the amenities - especially the kitchen - were fantastic. Heated floor was a lovely touch, as was the record player, and we loved the style and decor too - it's clear lots of thought has gone into making Carren Bach a wonderful place to stay.

    Victoria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely 3 days at Carren Bach. Emma was in contact before we visited making sure we had all the information we might need. Carren Bach was the perfect accommodation, beautifully decorated. We made regular use of the hot tub and record player. We are already planning when we can visit again!

  • What an amazing stay! A wonderful little pod - we will definitely be back and we have recommended highly to family and friends. Waking up to otters, herons, owls and swans! It is so peaceful. The pod is immaculately clean and a wonderful little place to stay. We didn’t want to leave.

  • Loved this pod. It was like a luxury hotel room in a pod. Would definitely recommend it.

    Catherine2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in the Haven Pod. The marina office were super helpful for local information and an easy check-in, the toilets were always very clean and they are very near to the pod. We hired bikes from the marina at £15 for the day each and there is a great 9 mile cycle route to Haverfordwest that you can take. The pod was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. We weren't able to eat at the restaurant at the marina but had a great cooked breakfast from the cafe underneath! Always a parking space (free). Was a good base for exploring, had a lovely time.

    Talulla2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The haven pod is a really fantastic place to stay... so cute and full of great details too! My two kids and I got along with the space in the pod. But I could imagine, that it suits best for not more than 2 people. Especially during rainy days :-)

A wonderful large family holiday home with sweeping sea views. Set in an idyllic location in the national park, a short walk from the garden gives you direct access to the glorious sandy beach. This house is modern, spacious and newly renovated to a high standard throughout. Overlooking Freshwater East beach & surrounded by miles of coastal paths, it is a perfect base to explore the area. Local attractions such as Tenby are less than a 10 minute drive. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome.
Your Travel Safety: During this uncertain period we are making every effort to follow current guidelines. As a precaution rather than using an external company, all laundry will now be laundered at the property by our local cleaner who takes pride in preparing it to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene for your stay. Extra cleaning time will be allocated using disinfectant where appropriate. As a suggestion Tesco home delivery from nearby Pembroke Dock is a conviennent stress free alternative to shopping in store. Pembrokeshire remains a beautiful, uncrowded location, with plenty of fresh air and wild beaches to explore, and we hope you enjoy your visit to this charming unspoiled location. Description: A wonderful modern detached house ideal for families to reset, reflect, enjoy the scenery and beautiful surroundings. The dinning room and kitchen are perfect for large families and groups who want some independence. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, washing machine, large fridge and freezer. With a pub and restaurant as well as the beach and coastal path all within walking distance it is a perfect holiday retreat!
Excellent proximity to all local attractions - Tenby (eating, beaches), freshwater west (walking-surfing), stackpole & bosheston (lily ponds), saundersfoot, Oakwood and Heatherton amusement parks. Located in Freshwater East, the beach is wide, sandy & dog friendly, with a backcloth of sand dunes. In summer it is a veritable sun trap and the waves are gentle and toddler-friendly when the weather is calm. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk through the garden path and down through the sand dunes. Freshwater East is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the 180-mile long coastal footpath passes through, providing the opportunity of exhilarating walks west towards St Govans Head and beyond and east to historic Manorbier, with its magnificent castle, and Tenby with its spectacular beaches, historic town walls and panoramic vistas. The local village pub is 1 minute walk from the house, serving local ales and pub food. Barafundle bay is a very popular beach to visit - from stackpole (5mins drive from house) where there is a small cafe and the walk along the coastal path to the beach takes 10 minutes. Alternatively walking from the house take the coastal path from Trewent point, the walk will take approximately 1 hr. Tenby & Saundersfoot are popular small towns approx 15mins away with nice places to eat & beaches. Manor wildlife park, Heatherton & Oakwood are popular places to visit for alternative entertainment. Nearby Lamphey Court Hotel & Spa serve good food and have a nice spa, perfect if the weather is not so good! If you like sea food there is an excellent small shop on Tenby harbour selling fresh fish & lobster. My young family & I really enjoy spending time on freshwater east beach & exploring the sand dunes.

  • This is a lovely house in an excellent position overlooking the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything you would expect and everything you need is there. There are also some thoughtful extras that you might not expect. It is a short walk down a path to the fantastic sandy beach. The kitchen has everything you need but if , like us, you don't fancy cooking , there is a quiet pub with very friendly hosts literally 30 yards away and several other local places recommended by Richard, the host. We'll definitely be going again if we can find an opening in their calendar. I can understand why it's a very popular house.

    Pembrokeshire, Wales, United Kingdom

Our beachside Pembrokeshire cottage offers an attractive, cosy retreat for up to nine people, in the picturesque village of Dale. The surrounding peninsula is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Park which offers stunning coastal walks, offshore islands, rare birds, colonies of grey seals and visiting dolphin and porpoise. Beach options (several within walking distance) are endless and unspoilt. There’s every type of water-sport on offer and one of the best pubs in Wales on the doorstep.
Lovingly restored by the family, our traditional stone-built cottage lies a stone’s throw from the beach. On the first floor a large open plan sitting/dining room with a log fire forms the heart of the property with plenty of comfortable seating and a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. This area leads onto a light, fully equipped kitchen, which in turn opens onto the large garden via a decking bridge. There are two comfortable, spacious double bedrooms on the ground floor, plus a further room with a double and a single bed. The two generous sized bathrooms have recently been refurbished, one with oversized bath and overhead shower, the other with large walk in power shower. Above the lounge is a fourth, gallery bedroom, with a double bed and views over the garden. Outside, the grassy garden has plenty of space to relax in with a barbecue and outdoor table and chairs.
The unspoilt village of Dale is situated in a sheltered valley on its own peninsula in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Walk just 15 minutes to one side of the Peninsula and the beaches face towards the wild Atlantic, while the beach on the Dale side, a mere two minute walk away is a sheltered bay offering fantastic opportunities for swimming, crabbing and water-sport activities. During the stay you can make the most of the local wildlife by taking a boat trip out to the islands where you may be lucky enough to see seals, puffins and even dolphins and porpoises. The multi-award winning Griffin Inn lies at the heart of the community, priding itself on its freshly caught seafood menu and providing the perfect spot for an evening drink overlooking the beach. If a full English is more your thing then head to The Boathouse Café where it’s served all day. Here you’ll also find an eclectic mix of crab nets, beach balls and basic supplies. Next door to the café is West Wales Windsurf and Sailing Shop where you can book a charter around the islands, organise a sailing lesson, hire a kayak or paddleboard or take a dinghy or windsurfer out. Fishing and diving trips can also be organised through Broadside Boat Charter, off the pontoon. Just past the village slipway is Dale Yacht Club which hosts a number of regattas during the season. Upstairs they have a bar, non-members welcome, and a restaurant and outdoor seating area affording magnificent views of the bay. The village also boasts a handmade jewellery shop and Heritage Centre, whilst the Village Hall holds an array of events and arts and crafts shows during the season.
  • Great house in a really super location by the beach and near many more.Super for walking the coastal paths and for kids. Really enjoyed the Yacht club too and the friendliness of the local people. Thank you!

  • What a wonderful place to stay in the beautiful Dale area! The house has all the modern amenities set in a traditional beachside property. We enjoyed some lovely walks and drives around the Pembrokeshire coastline and even more times sitting in front of the roaring fire watching movies. Highly recommended for all groups, big or small!

  • An amazing place to stay in the beautiful village of Dale. You will not regret booking this cottage. We have just had one of the ‘best holidays ever’ according to the kids. Perfect for a family holiday with absolutely loads to do. Stunning beaches and excellent water sports nearby. The cottage worked brilliantly for 9 of us and the shower gets a huge thumbs up! Comfy beds, plenty of living space and a hop skip and a jump to the sea. Everyone we met in Dale was extremely friendly but none more than our lovely hosts who shared so much helpful local knowledge with us when we arrived (as well as leaving a lovely bottle of wine and cake). A total gem of a holiday cottage in a peaceful, quiet spot. We will definitely be back!

    Becky2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay - very well equipped, clean and spacious- we will definitely be back

    Lucy2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • A absolutely gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. The garden is lovely and has views of the sea. Comfy beds, thoughtful touches (bbq coals, bacon for crabbing, cake, wine and crisps) all very much appreciated. East Dale beach was lovely, great for morning walks and crabbing. West Dale was very pretty too. Favourite beach was Marloe Sands (stunning) and the cafe there (Runwayskiln) is top notch. Amazing service and food - the fish and chips are the best we have ever had. Dale sailing does a cruise to Skomer to see the wildlife which is great to do on an overcast non beachy day. Sarah has been a wonderful host, so kind and helpful, as was her lovely Mum Anne. We will definitely recommend to friends and hope one day to come back and stay again.

  • Quaint cottage with modern amenities. Great location within walking distance of Marloes Sands (beyond beautiful!). Local pub is a bit iffy, but okay (avoid Saturday nights). Everything we needed was there at Richard's place. Lovely private outside area for a cup of tea or glass of wine.

  • Lovely cottage in the heart of the village. Shop and pub a few yards either side, beaches a short walk away. Great base for exploring the whole Pembrokeshire area. We booked as a couple and had tons of room. Super cosy, spotlessly clean, and lots of space for relaxing and enjoying the good weather. Many thanks!

    Luke2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in Richard's cottage. It has everything you could ask for during your stay and he provided lots of very helpful extras for our 18 months old - a cot with spare sheets, toys, a high chair and there was even a little sweet treat on arrival. The patio and garden are lovely and it's a great location for beautiful Marloes Sands. Highly recommended and thanks again to Richard.

  • The property is a granny-annexe to the main house with its own entrance. There is a main bedroom and a living room and small galley kitchen - which is better than advertised. There is a mezzanine floor with two more beds. The main bedroom has an en-suite. There is a balcony looking out onto a garden and woodland with loads of song birds visiting. The property is close to the beach, a pub, a cafe and not far from another unspoilt beach on the other side of the peninsula. You can see the sea from the bedroom window.

  • Rosemary's place is an ideal base in Dale for a few days away. The studio apartment is light and spacious and well laid out. The breakfast and other provisions are all very thoughtful. Although it was autumn, the apartment was lovely and warm. We had a great time there.

  • Lovely little self contained flat in a perfect location in Dale village. We couldn't have asked for more - Rosemary was hugely helpful with her advice about arrival and for our walking plans, a fabulous host. Highly recommended.

    John2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I found Rosemary and John's place perfect for two days exploring Dale, Marloes, Little Haven, St Brides and the coastal path. Their place is very clean and, as others have commented, full of thoughtful touches. There's plenty of space for one or two travellers and I found it comfortable, quiet and cosy. I wanted to share a tip for folk who, like me, love organic and/or low food mile and healthy food: bring your own as, as Rosemary indicates, local shops are few and far between, and those there are, are convenience stores. That said, food at the nearby The Griffin pub was lovely. Not cheap, but very good. Overall, a lovely place to play in a great location, enhanced by thoughtful friendly hosts.

    Sarah2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Three adults and one teen stayed a couple of nights to explore the area. It is clean and bright with efficient use of space. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and comfortable. Access to the bathroom is via a bedroom, which was fine for us as a family. There is an easy walk to a pub and brasserie for food in this pretty, water-sports-orientated village.

  • One of the rare places that actually looks as good in the flesh as on the photos. Laura has created a truly gorgeous place and perfectly located for the beech, cliff walks, oh and the pub. We didn't move the car the entire four days we were there. Laura and Colette were super responsive throughout the whole process. One tip, do take your own supplies (as Laura recommends) - there's a couple of lovely restaurants locally but very little in the way of food shops for some miles.

  • Under Blue Anchor is a beautifully designed, welcoming, brightly lit holiday home perfect for beach locations and stunning coastal locations. The space is furnished in zones to create a fun communal home to play, eat, relax and sleep very comfortably. We had a wonderful week in Dale in late October, our favourite way to start each day with a coffee walking 2 minutes to the beach to watch the sunrise, then later a longer walk to the wide beautiful panoramic beach at West Dale over field and down to a and exploring the rock pools and watching surfers, with our picnic in tow. Laura and Ben provided excellent local knowledge and we enjoyed exploring the Marloes and Martin’s Reach, and family days out to a wildlife park and outdoor activities with our children. We’d love to return

  • Very well designed and well kitted-out property, very close to the waterfront at Dale. More spacious than we had expected. A warm welcome and lots of luxury touches. Definitely on the ‘have again’ list. Great location for exploring the best part of the Pembrokeshire coast. Plus Dale offers walking, sailing, kayaking and a couple of great places to eat and drink - which isn’t bad for a tiny, pretty village of just over 200 people.

    Matt2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Dale is a relaxed, beguiling spot frequented by locals, holiday-makers and the sailing community. There are a number of great places to eat for all budgets and plenty of activities for kids of all ages. My 6 year old twins spent hours crabbing off the jetty, making new friends with other crabbers. Older kids can kayak or learn to sail. It is also a very sheltered place to swim. Laura's place was easily big enough for our family of 6 and is extremely tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and it feels like a home. We highly recommend it.

Maren’s home is located in Marloes, Wales, United Kingdom. Marloes peninsula is surrounded on 3 sides by sea and fantastic beaches, miles of stunning walks and a more opportunities for activities or peace and quiet than you can shake a stick at. Marloes village is nestled in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with boat access to Skomer Island, famous for puffins and other bird life. If you don't have sea legs for the short crossing to Skomer island then Marloes Mere is a fantastic little marsh land with bird hide for watching the migrating and local birdlife. Depending on the wind direction and tides there are 3 good surfing beaches in Marloes. Musslewick, Marloes Sands and West Dale. These are on different sides of the headland. For kayakers there are nice, easy entry adventures to be had from St Brides, Dale Harbour and Martins Haven. Dale (the next village just a two mile walk across the old airfield or a 5 minute drive) is a busy sailing village with a good local pub serving fresh local fish. SUP, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking equipment can be hired from Dale Sailing in the harbour. The pontoon is a popular crabbing spot for children. For divers there are two great shore dives close to Marloes. Martins Haven is a very nice, varied dive dropping rapidly to 25m from the shore. The dive has kelp forests, reef and plenty of sea life with; quite often - an inquisitive seal. St Brides is a shallow dive site. Maximum depth 12 metres. It is a great dive site. Absolutely teeming with life. Also lovely to snorkel this reef. The richness of life in the local waters is not to be underrated as an experience. There are many good and well marked cycle routes around the area and further afield. If you take a right from Tower View you will soon come across the Clock House Cafe. This family run business serve breakfast and lunch as well as the most amazing cakes. The local village pub serve food everyday and there is a large, sunny beer garden to the rear of the pub. Opposite the pub is the very well equipped playground for the kids to use. We are also very fortunate to have an amazing pizza and pasta business in the village. Run by Camille who makes incredible homemade pizzas. Book in advance Thurs, Fri and Saturday for collection just a short walk minutes from the house. There should be a menu in the house. She’s also on Facebook. If you take a left from Tower View and are heading back out of the village you'll find the village shop. This is run by Paul and Stef. This is a great resource for the village and the owners have a fantastic range of local food and drink produce to take home. They also have a cafe. This is also a post office so you can get money and send your postcards from here. A little bit further afield, just by the carpark for Marloes Sands beach lies Runwayskiln Cafe. In my opinion Claire and Charlie does some of the best food in the area. Most of it is locally sources and they also cater well for vegetarians and vegans. The views from the Kiln are breathtaking. It’s well worth the 20-25 minute walk. I recommend you book a Tesco delivery to meet you on the day of your arrival. Or if you wish to shop yourself then the nearest towns are Haverfordwest (13 miles)and Milford Haven (9miles). These are also the last opportunity to fill up on petrol/diesel.
  • A very clean and tastefully furnished house with everything we needed to make for a great break away. Lots of space for family to spread out and the firewood was very welcome for the wood burner to keep Storm Dennis at bay!

  • A great spot for walkers - we walked from the house all the way to Dale, round the coastline. Honestly some of the most beautiful views I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. There's a great little shop and cafe within walking distance, and a pub which serves food within walking distance too. Loads of space in the kitchen and dinning area We were two adults, 2 teenagers. could easily have taken 2 more kids without feeling under each other's feet. Will definitely return

    David2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here for a couple of nights. The house is comfortable, clean and we felt very welcome. Amazing 4hr family walk around the headland along the coastal path, blessed by a sunny day and even got to see a seal and her pup on the beach below. Enjoyed a brief visit to Marloes Sands but due to high tide times weren't there for long.

    Tara2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A fab base to explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Many places are so close that driving isn’t necessary. We were a party of 4 adults, two teenagers and 3 children and we were very comfortable. The property is bigger than it looks in the photos. Maren wasn’t around to meet us but communication was very informative and quick, so we had no problems. If you get the chance don’t miss out on a lovely meal at Runaways Kiln at Marloe Sands. Thanks Maren for sharing your space with us.

Very thoughtful of the owner. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Attention to detail fantastic. Very much enjoyed our stay here.

  • We booked this on the spur of the moment as we wanted to continue our coast walk. The cottage was part of a group set in a row originally a cow shed Nicely converted into various size cottages. Our cottage was very cosy, ideal for 2. with a comfortable bed upstairs on a mezzanine level. Small but adequate kitchen and a cosy sitting area with wood burner and TV with DVD's on hand. Plus Excellent WiFi. Within about half hour walk from Little Haven but prooved a bit far to walk on a cold dark January night.... Especially after walking all day. All in all... Great stay, Good price. will visit again.

Small, simple accommodation in wild and wonderful surroundings! The Hayloft is two fields' away from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, within sight and sound of iconic Marloes Sands and perched above gorgeous Marloes Mere. It is a place for beach-goers, boaters and birders! Sea-view first floor studio flat | King size bed | Two narrow singles | Kitchenette (sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, single induction hob) | Lovely stone tiled shower
It is part of Runwayskiln, a cluster of traditional Pembrokeshire farm buildings and formerly the YHA Marloes Sands youth hostel, "A contender for the most scenically sited youth hostel in the country" (Wanderlust magazine). When the sun is shining, the path is a hub of activity. The Hayloft is above the cafe/public toilet facilities and so people are around the building all day. When the cafe closes (and the facilities are locked) and the sun goes down, you will truly feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere.

A large, characterful and comfortable one bedroomed annexe flat with private patio in the tranquil village of Marloes; an ideal base for visiting Skomer island, walking the coastal path or enjoying the magnificent beaches of Pembrokeshire. Sorry but not pets.
Formerly the original old post office, the annexe is a spacious and characterful one bedroomed flat furnished to a high standard with wood flooring, central heating, wood burning stove and roll top bath tub for added comfort after a day's walk. The open-plan sitting room and dining area is furnished with two sofas (one a pull-out bed) and wood burning stove. The sitting room opens into a small dining area with drop leaf table and chairs. Two steps lead down to the terracotta tiled galley style kitchen which overlooks the patio. Utilities include a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and integrated washer/dryer. A breakfast bar and two high chairs provide an alternative eating area. The bathroom is fitted with a Victorian style bathtub, with telephone style shower head and taps enabling showering and rinshing hair whilst sitting in the bath. There is no stand-up shower. Access to the patio is via a side gate. Access to the Internet is inclusive.]
The Pembrokeshire coastal path is quite spectacular. In 2012 the National Geographic voted it one of the best places to visit in the world, and in 2010 the county’s beaches were also named among the best coastal destinations on the planet, Pembrokeshire came in joint second behind the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, Canada, tying with New Zealand’s Tutukaka Coast. The village is on the Marloes peninsula. The long and spectacular Marloes sands, is on one side (watch the tailers for Snow White and the Huntsman and look out for cavalry beach assault) and the undiscovered jewel of Musslewick bay is on the other, this beach is the closest ten minutes, whilst it is accessible only at low tide, the lagoon type bay can be accessed for swimming at any time from the rocks. At the head of the peninsula is Martins Haven, where in spring and summer there are daily boats to Skomer Island, a wildlife haven for rare birds and seals. If you love the outdoors there’s loads to do: great walking, swimming, surfing, sailing, kayaking, climbing, horse-riding, diving, cycling and fishing. In the village there is a pub serving lunches and dinners, a café/restaurant, a shop / post office, and a children’s play area in the village green. Just five minutes away by car, alternatively a walk or cycle over the cliffs and the old air strip, and you are in the picturesque Dale, with its pontoon (great crabbing for little ones) and characterful pub, The Griffin, with its famous wall overlooking the bay, on which, on a nice evening, the world and his dog perches their pint. Fifteen minutes by car in the other direction is the idyllic chocolate box village, Little Haven, with choice of three pubs and restauraunts to cater for all tastes. Further along the coast towards Newgale is the wonderful and unique Druidstone Hotel, a great place to pop into for tea during a walk, a drink to watch the sunset go down or a meal (although it can get booked out during high summer).
  • The Flat was comfortable, warm and cozy. The village has all that was required and the proximity to the coastal path meant we could walk everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

  • The annex is perfect, and provides warm and comfortable accommodation. Easy to find too. The location is good because once there, you can walk to a lovely stretch of the coast path by Marloes beach. Having a pub close by was also welcome after a long walk!

  • Lovely little flat, excellent location and great host

    Daniel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable cottage, and Liz was excellent at communicating. We love getting on to the coast path and beaches, and could walk from the cottage to do so.

    Sally2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely dreamy place. I stayed in winter and it was wonderfully comfortable. Well-kitted kitchen, cosy fire, excellent location and an absolutely enormous, lovely bath. I couldn't recommend it enough. Liz also shared a very comprehensive welcome pack with tips on where to eat & where to go for walks - tremendous. If I'm back in the area, I'll certainly be booking Liz's place again.

    Sara2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Marloes close to Marloes sands and some lovely walks. A lovely cottage which was warm and well supplied with everything that we needed.

  • Liz’s place was a beautiful character property with log burner and freestanding bath. Liz was a lovely host who telephoned when we had arrived to check all was okay. Really close to lovely walks along the coast. We will be recommending this place to everyone!

Talbenny is a small hamlet in the Pembrokeshire National Park. A quiet rural spot which is close to the sea, Little Haven is just over a mile away which has three restaurants/pubs, a cafe and parking. The beach is easily accessible. A mile further on is Broad Haven with a wide beach which is popular with surfers, wind-kiters. More cafes and restaurants are to be found here. Dale is four miles away which is a renowned centre for watersports including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. During the summer there is cafe open daily. The Griffin pub is open all summer and has a good reputation. Cocos can be found on the 1st floor of the yacht club which has an excellent reputation. Booking is best to avoid disappointment during the summer.
  • Wonderful cottage, lovely and clean. We had a fabulous few days exploring. Cottage was so cosy.

  • Bev's place is a very cosy cottage with a well equiped kitchen, log burner and a very comfortable bed. It was very clean throughout. The village is located around a mile's walk from the Pembrokshire costal path and the quaint seaside village of Little Haven. Easy driving distance to St.David and Haverfordwest. Would definitely stay again.

  • What a lovely stay! We were really impressed with how clean, cosy and comfortable this place was. We loved the wood burning fire which was a great addition! It warmed us up after some lovely but wild walks around Pembrokeshire. The facilities in the kitchen were fantastic and we really liked that we had space to cook and do our own thing! Thank you so much, we will be back! :)

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Abaty Cottage was clean, snug and cozy, (even in the February storms). The photos do not do it justice, a lovely mixture of vintage and modern. Great location for exploring Pembrokshire. We very much look forward to visiting again

  • This is a fabulous location if you want to be away from it all. Great views and walks. It felt very private as no one was in the neighbouring houses.

    Fiona2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful veiw! A great place to get away from everything for awhile.

    Makenzie2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The best views in a homely, comfortable chalet. Right on the coastal path, but still feels so private. It had everything you needed for a few nights, comfortable stay. June was really accommodating, responsive to requests and the milk, eggs and bread was a really thoughtful touch. We will be back!

    Emma2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect. The cabin is in a idyllic location and it was lovely to look out at the sea. June was a super helpful host and left us bread, milk and eggs, such a nice touch. Will definitely be back!

    Janeve2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage with the most stunning sea views. June was the most helpful and thoughtful of hosts, and could not do enough to make our stay the most pleasant, (including some complimentary touches on our arrival). Dale is a lovely spot. I would recommend a stay here, and we hope to return in the future. :)

    Jennie2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • I simply can't rate this place highly enough. The chalet itself is situated on a cliff edge (though it's safely walled in, for parents of wee ones!) and the view is just stunning. We brought card games and books and all sorts of things to do in the evenings, and ended up just staring at the sea all night!! It was beautifully clean when we arrived, and June had provided so many thoughtful touches that made our stay that little bit more awesome (seriously above and beyond anything I've ever experienced staying in an air bnb). A little problem with the drainage was sorted within hours, with no inconvenience to us. The house was perfect for our little family (2 adults, a nearly 2 year old and an elderly dog). And as for the surroundings!! We averaged 2 beaches a day, and never got bored of the scenery, the sand, the sea, or anything about this lovely place. I would recommend Pembrokeshire, and specifically Haven High, to anyone looking for a lovely holiday in a beautiful place :-) xx

Small but well equipped twin bedroom annexe with ensuite wet room and separate entrance for guests with own key. Sits centrally on the Dale peninsula - ideal for trips to Skomer island and Pembrokeshire's best beaches! This is an annexe bedroom to our home - a beautiful barn conversion equidistant between Dale and Little Haven. We are far from the madding crowd tucked away behind an old Manor House. This listing is for the annexe bedroom only, not the whole barn.
The Accommodation:- Guests will have a small twin bed room with a contemporary en suite wet room. It has its own separate entrance and guests will have their own key providing privacy and flexibility. It has recently been refurbished and redecorated from an old outbuilding and is full of character and charm. There size of the annexe does not allow for a kitchen or lounge area the room contains tea and coffee making facilities together with a mini fridge. We leave available a simple breakfast of muffins (in a cake tin), granola and orange juice for breakfast which guests have in their room. There is a flat screen wall mounted TV and two arm chairs. There is a walk in cupboard in which to hang clothes and a chest of drawers. To the front is the main garden and a patio by a wildlife pond which guests are welcome to use in fine weather. Location:- We are in a very rural location in the middle of the countryside between Dale and Little Haven although technically we come within the parish of St Ishmaels. To enjoy our home, you must relish tranquillity and remotenss! We live in a converted barn behind an old Manor House, it is accessed via a driveway from the nearest lane. Please do read directions before you come. The nearest village is St Ishmaels (one mile away) with a pub called The Brook which serves reasonably priced pub food (note - in Winter, food only served on certain days of the week). Dale is three miles in one direction and Little Haven is three miles in the other. Both these have excellent pubs serving great food. (Note- The Griffin in Dale is closed from November to Easter) . The nearest towns are Haverfordwest and Milford Haven -10 and 7 miles away respectively. You will need a car as there is no local bus service. Local Area:- The attraction of the area is the stunning coastal scenery, the coastal path and the beautiful beaches of Marloes, West Dale, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale. Further along the coast is the pretty village of Solva and the Cathedral city of St Davids (the smallest city in the UK) which is really a very pretty large village and is well worth a visit. It's about 20 miles away. It is ideal for those looking to stay in Pembrokeshire for a few days and particularly suitable if you are planning a trip to Skomer Iskland. We are just 10 minutes from Marloes and 15 minutes to St Martins Haven where the boat leaves for Skomer. Catering:- Our accommodation is not self catering as the space does not allow cooking equipment or a dining area but if you wish to bring back home made pizzas from Camille's in Marloes and are happy to eat them from your armchair- no problem! (Camille operates from home and makes the most fabulous pizza's but it it is a seasonal facility so please do check with us that is open before relying on a take home pizza). There are plenty of good eateries within a few miles and most if not all of our guests eat out. We leave available a simple breakfast of muffins /pastries (in a tin) orange juice and tea and coffee in the room for breakfast. Another option is to pop up the road and have a wonderful cooked breakfast at St Ishmaels Garden Centre (5 mins drive). Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer a cooked breakfast for guests . Hugh and I are both busily retired, we have two very friendly dogs and a couple of horses! There is parking for one car.
The Dale peninsula is situated in the very west of Wales. It is perfect if you enjoy walking, boating, cycling or surfing. Pembrokeshire is renowned for its beaches and stunning coatal path along the cliffs. We are very fortunate to have some of Pembrokeshire’s best beaches within a stone's throw. West Dale, Marloes, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale are all within easy driving distance. The ferry port to Skomer island is only 15 minutes away. Dale is renowned for its microclimate and is reputed to have more hours of sunshine than any other village in Wales. It is generally mild and very often sunny even when just ten miles inland, it is gloomy with either rain or onimous clouds. There are great pubs close by- check out The Griffin (Dale) and the Castle, St Brides Inn and The Swan (Little Haven).
  • This self-contained, private annexe on a two hundred year old ex-dairy farm is remote enough to be wonderfully peaceful, but an easy drive from any number of beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches and villages. The room has comfy twin beds and a connected, private bathroom. There's wifi, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge which super-host Barbara keeps topped up with fresh milk and fruit juice, together with granola for breakfast, with delicious fresh pastries every day. Super glad to have found this place on Air B&B and very much hope to be back soon.

    Emma2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and Hugh were wonderful hosts and went out of the way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The annex has recently been respecced to a high standard, and is warm and cosy. The cottage has easy access to many of Pembrokeshire's gems. We had a superb time!

    Peter2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely secluded spot and all we could ask for. Great for walking Marlowe Peninsula and Dale Peninsula and up to StDavids and the coast there. Recommend pubs in Little Haven and Griffin in Dale when it’s open, check before you drive there 🧐. Warm at home feel to accommodation.

    Mark2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s wonderful little unit provides everything you need to enjoy a stay in SW Pembrokeshire. Compact and comfortable, peaceful and well placed for exploring this beautiful corner of Wales. Nice touches and a warm welcome. The wet room is perfect for soothing aching legs after a long walk on the coast! Highly recommended Adrian & Sue

    Adrian2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really great little place and was just what we needed for a weekend diving late in the season. Clean, simple and most importantly warm! Easy communication and lots of extra little touches, you won't have any problems here!

    Tin-Tin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • "The Old Diary" is part of a spacious, old estate, surrounded by nature. This would also be the problem named, concerning the journey. It is advisable IN ANY CASE to follow the description of Barbara and not to rely on googlemaps. Once you have found your way, the guest expects an atmospheric and protected facility. This consists of one and a half floor, lovingly restored buildings where the hosts live. The center of the complex is formed by a pond and an outdoor terrace surrounded by numerous flowering plants that guests can use. Beautiful, absolutely quiet and peaceful. The cultivation is as described quite small, but also with its own character. Guests are provided daily with juice, milk, cereals and pastries. We had 5 days of sunshine and a wonderful time at the end of September!

    Barbara2019-09-22T00:00:00Z

  • Josh's place was great. Lot's of room & a beautiful location. We didn't get to meet Josh but everything was clear & swiftly handled. The place was clean and had a great, equipped kitchen.

  • A great cottage set just up from the beach. Nice coastal walks either side and pub right out front! Comfy house with pretty much everything you need.

    Dave2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We loved the setting, the view of the haven and bay, and the privacy. Guillemot is well-equipped, quiet, private and very comfortable. The help 24 hours on hand was reassuring and very friendly. We took our dog, who loved it! Being January, the Brasseries was closed, but the Mariners was open for drinks, and other pubs/restaurants around were open, and we got a Tesco delivery on arrival, which was really helpful. Beautiful beach, slightly scary cliff path (I have vertigo) but all-in-all we'll definitely be back!

    Sarah2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic little cottage in an incredible location. We loved our stay here, and are already planning weeks to come back next year. Although the cottage is beautiful, the welcome is warm, and the views incredible, make sure to bring your own tea/coffee so you can relax after the long drive to get there. Also would have been nice to have hand soap in the bathrooms and more than half a roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms - or for this to be stated in the listing. But these are little touches that didn’t ruin our stay in the slightest. We’ll definitely be back!!

    Max2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely weekend stay here. The scenery is beautiful, so close to the beach. Which is clean and great for walks and searching for shells. The cottage was clean and had everything you need while away from home. We would highly recommend a stay here.

    Eira2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a small terrace of 4, owners on hand in the office, everything you could want is provided and spotlessly clean, wonderful shower and heating system which we needed for our stay 1st week in October great base for Solva, Broad Haven Haverfordwest, Little Haven and of course Nolton Haven is a lovely sheltered sandy beach and the cottage has wonderful views of the sea. The local stable did horse riding on the beach and people were surfing, swimming and kayaking. Some wonderful walks for the dog. A local place to eat was the cafe in Hilton Gardens which did lovely soup and sandwiches, great for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea we also went round the gardens which are lovely but you don't have to pay to just use the cafe a real gem, oh and the dog was allowed in too! A lovely place to stay anytime of the year. Much nicer than the usual dog welcome cottages as you felt the dog was definitely welcome and accommodated rather than being second class guests. well done Jim. Josh and family

DUE TO THE COVID19 CRISIS ALL BOOKINGS ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. If you have already made a booking I will work with you to make sure Airbnb cancel it penalty free for both your group and I. Please see their guidelines.. Limenaraki Cottage is opposite the playground, Pub & bus stop for all local routes. An easy & quick walk takes you to Musslewick beach, from there explore all the beaches the local headland has to offer. A perfect spot for a family & friends to enjoy Pembs from.
The house faces the village green and therefore is not overshadowed by any other properties. This means from Sunrise to around 5 pm the front of the house is a sun trap. There is an outdoor dining area which connects to the interior dining area through fully retractable sliding windows. The garden at the front of the house is a perfect spot for reading a book and relaxing. Next to the front garden, accessed by the second gate are outdoor wash up facilities for sandy bodies from the beach and sports equipment which can be stored safely beside the shed. There is a drying rail for wetsuits and towels where the sports equipment is stored. Once you step inside the house you enter the dining space. this has bench seating surrounding the perimeter for lounging and then a 2 metre table which can seat up to 12. This space can be opened up to the outside through the full length window, or made cosy by night for long, lazy dinners. This room has underfloor heating for the winter months and is warm in the summers by the sun. Just off the sun room is the downstairs bathroom which is a wet room, comprising shower toilet and sink. There is hot water throughout the day supplied by the solar PV and air source heat pump. All efforts were made to refurbish the house to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. A set of sliding doors between the dining room and the rest of the ground floor space mean that you can open the space up completely or close it down for more privacy. Once out of the dining room you are in the heart of the original cottage. evidenced by the old stone walls and everything suddenly not being quite straight! The space has been opened up completely with the stairs to the first floor in the centre of two living spaces. One with the fire place and ercol style sofa set for lounging and reading and chatting to those in the kitchen. the other side with the tv, sofa and lounging chair. In this space you can chat to the people still having dinner or close them out with the louvre doors for some relaxing time. The kitchen is one step up from the living space through the old external wall of the cottage. there is a half height wall left between the spaces and floor to ceiling shelves for easy access to plates, cutlery, herbs, spices and all else you will need for cooking your meals on the large induction range hob. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine and dryer as well as cafetiere, teapot, juicer, all you should need to prepare your meals and drinks throughout the day. On the first floor you turn left and right to access the two master bedrooms. These rooms face east and benefit from a beautiful sunrise. Each have a kingsize bed and facilities for folded and hanging clothes. Directly in front of you at the top of the stairs is the rear bedroom. this is a lovely cosy room with a sloping ceiling and double bed. At the rear this room gets the evening sunshine. The first floor bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet and sink. The floor is tiled with Moroccan encaustic tiles. The last bedroom is accessed via a fixed timber loft ladder past the reading nook overlooking the village green. it is a cosy double bedroom with light from the sun tunnels in the roof. There is a fully glazed end to this gallery bedroom which overlooks the bedroom below. This space can be made completely private by the blind which covers the window. This room in combination with the one below is perfect for a family - kids love the loft room - or for friends who are comfortable with the combined but separate spaces. The loft has a protective guard rail around the opening and handrails on the ladder for safety for younger guests. There is a tripp trapp high seat provided plus a travel cot for those who need it. The house is ideal for families and groups of friends.
Marloes penninsula is surrounded on 3 sides by sea and fantastic beaches, miles of stunning walks and a more opportunities for activities or peace and quiet than you can shake a stick at. There is maps in the house for the local walks and should you wish to have a guided walk these can be organised in advance. Dale harbour (the next village just a two mile walk across the old airfield or a 5 minute drive) is a busy sailing village with a good local pub serving fresh local fish. As a certified instructor and experienced dive guide I can take experienced divers with their own equipment on guided dives. I will ask for proof of qualifications and experience. Tanks can be filled locally and if booking in advance hardboat diving is available at weekends. Each day has two dives around Skomer island and further afield. The richness of life in the local waters is not to be underrated as an experience. There are many good and well marked cycle routes around the area and further afield. I will make sure I provide as much information as I can in advance to suit your leisure plans. The local village pub is run by Sophie and Ashley. A really friendly, young couple. They serve food everyday and there is a large, sunny beer garden to the rear of the pub. Opposite the pub is the very well equipped playground for the kids to use. We are also very fortunate to have an amazing pizza and pasta business in the village. Run by Camille and her husband Jim. Camille makes incredible homemade pizzas. Book in advance Thurs, Fri and Saturday for collection just two minutes from the house. A little further past the pub and clock tower heading back out of the village is the village shop. Run superbly by Paul and Stef and their daughters. This is a great resource for the village and the owners have a fantastic range of local food and drink produce to take home. Plus a cafe. This is also a post office so you can get money and send your postcards from here. I recommend you book a Tesco delivery to meet you on the day of your arrival. Or if you wish to shop yourself then the nearest towns are Haverfordwest and Milford Haven. These are also the last opportunity to fill upon petrol. It is 12 miles each way to either town. I'm sure this is an information overload by now. But I will answer any more questions you have and help you make arrangements or plans for your holiday.
  • A really beautiful and stylist cottage. A great place for adults and children.

  • All that we needed for a great family break

    David2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a beautiful stay. The house was special and the interior was very stylish and quirky. Great location next to some surfing and walking spots. Would love to return! Niki was very responsive and helpful.

  • We visited between xmas and New year. Fab house, plenty big enough for us, 6 adults 4 children and a 9month old. House never felt cramped. Kitchen is extremely well equipped, used the log burner which kept the whole house very warm, but to be fair didn't really need to light it. X Nicki has put lots of nice little touches around the cottage, including books, games for children and adults, and plenty of toiletries in case you forget anything. Any problems and Nicki was there to sort it. X

  • This place is great and would highly recommend!!

    Jonathan2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Nickis place in early November and despite the heavy rain the house was filled with light and the landscapes were still achingly beautiful. We had a fabulous time. The house is a joy to stay in, the renovation was clearly thoughtful and considered with lots of cool quirks - we loved the reading nook and our boys played ‘ocean diving’ on the deep blue stairs for hours. Some wonderful books in the house about coastal conservation and my favorite - coastal food! Beds were all incredibly comfortable - in fact the best we’ve stayed in when away from home. Fab communication and info from Nicki, so everything was seamless. Great garden, gorgeous beaches in close distance. We would love to see the place in the summer, perfect spot for a family trip. (Tip: if you have very small kids, be prepared for a bit of a walk - Marloes Sands is a drive away but much easier for kids to get down to from the coastal path than Musslewick, which is walking distance from the house. Both beautiful and worth visiting)

    Maya2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely house with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a perfect location. Thanks Nicki!

    James2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful big house with lots of light and lovely views onto the rest of the village. Enough space for 9 adults including a big fridge and kitchen counter space if you are bringing your own food (also lovely kitchen, great for cooking in). Travelled in early October but didn't need to use the heating and house was plenty warm enough. Lots of ideas for walks nearby are left in the house with maps and leaflets. There is a village shop but it was closed for a wedding when we arrived - recommend bringing a few snacks but there is also a shop a short drive away. One of the bedrooms is accessed through another bedroom - luckily this wasn't a problem for our party. Enough chairs and sofa-bench space to sit everyone around the table too. Great overall!

An ideal family holiday house in Dale, comprising 3 bedrooms - one double, one with 2 single beds and one with a bunk bed. A fantastic base for families close to two beaches, one sandy and the other with a watersports centre. Large but very steep garden.
3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and one bathroom with separate WC
  • Diana’s place is great - much bigger than the pictures and the garden is also large! The location is great, with beautiful views from the front upstairs bedroom. There are two great places to eat/drink less than half a kilometre away plus plenty of gorgeous coastal walks. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

  • Diana's place is clean, comfortable, and lovely. It's located in the town of Dale, which is just a few minutes' walk to the Coast Path and to the Griffin Inn, a great seafood restaurant & pub. It's just 10 minutes by car to Marloes and is near a bus stop, which links to the Puffin Shuttle whose route runs up the coat to St. Davids. Diana was a great host and super responsive with communication. We loved staying here and hope to return one day!

There is a bath with shower attachment and laundry facilities including a washer drier, airers, iron and ironing board. THE GRANARY- The second bedroom is where the mill mechanism which once ground the corn for the mill was housed. Nolton Haven is a small hamlet next to the beach on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The beach is dog friendly year round, clean, shallow and has lifeguards everyday during the summer school holidays. It is surrounded by two headlands which can provide shelter from the wind, or the promise of small caves to explore. There is a stream to dam or paddle in, rock pools to hunt for crabs and sea anemones. Enough space for paddle boarders, kayaks, canoes and swimmers. There is a pub and a restaurant (booking advised) next door. Roch and Broadhaven only a short distance away both have local shops with basic essentials. Nolton Haven is also situated close to Haverfordwest for grocery shopping, and its central location makes it a good base for other attractions.
  • This place is amazing. Everything we needed was provided and we spent 3 cosy days and nights here even though the wind was gusting over 60mph outside! We can’t wait to go back.

    Pamela2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, stunning location, and the extra touches (breakfast bits and bobs) were all so thoughtful. Absolutely perfect for a cosy few days away!

    Ellen2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. We were blown away by how amazing The Mill House was. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into every detail, from the lighting down to the utensils (I especially loved that there was a vegetable steamer!). The house was so cosy, especially with the fire lit, and the hot tub was lovely. The location was beautiful and very peaceful. We both believe we could not have chosen a better place to stay and will definitely be back if we are able!

    Zoe2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mill House is a really special place to stay. It's a beautifully designed house with excellent facilities and a lovely location in a quiet (in early January) cove. But it's the thoughtfulness that stands out - fresh flowers, food to get the weekend started, and everything you could possibly need from bathrobes, to hairdryers in each bedroom, to a bluetooth speaker, to sharp knives. Thank you Ruth and Nick!

    Eliane2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous house, that looks even better in person inside and out. Brilliant location, just moments from a beautiful beach. House was absolutely spotless & lots of little touches to help make our stay (and the dogs) as comfortable as we could have been over Christmas.

    Alice2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Nolton haven Mill! This place is beautiful, photos do not do this place justice! Perfect little touches around the house such as a welcome pack, fire starter pack, toiletries, Robes, decorations for Christmas, doggy welcome pack and entertainment such as Netflix on the Television in each room. The hot tub was amazing and situated on a private road. This place is right next to a pub - dog friendly, unfortunately the restaurant next door is beautiful however, not dog friendly. Beautiful beach on your doorstep with easy access to the coastal path walks leading to other lovely villages. Local town with shops around 10 minutes in a car. The perfect break with everything you need, we will be back. Thank you.

    Libby2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Mill House is the perfect stay, Ruth provided everything we could possibly need, the house was amazing, the location was great, even the lanes surrounding the hamlet were easy to drive along. We can’t wait to come back again!

  • This little cottage is a perfect place to escape for the weekend. We had a fabulous time exploring the coast paths and relaxing by the wonderful log burner. We couldn't recommend this place more highly for a getaway in a stunning location and Paddy and Lou were both so welcoming and hospitable.

  • This is a wonderful place to get to everywhere you need in this spectacular, magical place! Paddy and Lou were so helpful with tips for where to go - in their booklet but also when we saw Paddy for check-in. There is so much to do within walking distance. You won't be disappointed and we'll be back, for sure! Thank you both.....

  • We came to stay for a short getaway in the week. The weather wasn’t great but it didn’t matter as the Dairy was so inviting and comfortable we opted to come back each night and cook dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The surrounding coastline is absolutely beautiful and Paddy & Lou were great hosts. Already planning out next trip ☺️

  • A cosy cottage with log burner and available wood. Good location to visit Skomer island, Solva and the Pembrokshire coast. Well equipped and lovely to have a posy on the kitchen table. Very quiet, rural location.

Our house is both cosy and spacious, it is situated in a quiet village within Pembrokeshire. It is in an ideal location for exploring Pembrokeshire coastal path and the stunning beaches Pembrokeshire has to offer also Skomer island. Local pub within walking distance. A light breakfast is available to help yourself to (cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit and orange juice.
  • Pam was very friendly and helpful. Her house clean. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise! A short walk into the village. Easy parking.

  • Its a great place, the village is calm, perfect for a comfortable night and sleep after a hiking day. I had a Room, bathroom and a dining room with a fridge, a water cooker for my own. In the morning, there is everything for breakfast (Toast, cereals, milk, water, juice...) Pam is a really good host!

  • Pam has a very nice, tastefully decorated house. We went from here touring the area and walked the Coastal Path. A really nice and not crowded area. Pams breakfast was very ok. She always tries very hard.

A Bright, modern, semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac. Well-equipped and very comfortable: recliner sofas; comfortable beds; family bathroom and separate toilet downstairs. The garden is contained and catches the sun. There is an outside tap to wash off wetsuits/dogs etc and a washing line. 2 Well-behaved dogs are welcome but not allowed upstairs. 1 mile from the beach and an easy walk to the lovely village cafes, well-stocked Post Office and Stores and local pub The Lobster Pot.
Marloes is a lovely, quiet village. Our house is approximately 1 mile from Marloes Sands and a couple of miles from St Martin's Haven where a boat can be taken to see the puffins and seals (in season) at Skomer and Skokholm Islands. Seal pups can be spotted in September from the coastal paths. Both destinations are easy to walk/cycle to from the house. Marloes Sands is a stunning beach in all weathers, dog friendly and is great for body boarding. There is a cafe located near to the NT carpark. The more adventurous can surf at Broad Haven where there are lifeguards or just further on is the windswept Newgale beach - a great spot for surfing/kite surfing. The neighbouring village of Dale is a beauty spot. In season there is another excellent pub - The Griffin and a seasonal cafe and shop. There is also a water-sports centre in Dale where you can hire boats/kayaks etc and book lessons. The pontoon makes an excellent crabbing spot!
Marloes is the ideal place to explore the coastal path. The seals are easily spotted from the cliffs, particularly near to St Martin's Haven and the Deer Park. September is a wonderful time to see seal pups. Skomer Island is worth a visit, particularly in June when the Puffins are around. Marloes Sands is a beautiful, unspoilt beach, well worth a visit.
  • Lovely house in a lovely village. The pub is close by as is the village shop. Great location for walking the coast path. Recommended.

  • We had a lovely holiday at Nicola’s place. The location was fantastic. Marloes one direction and Woolpak head for watching seals in the other direction. only a 5 minute drive. The house itself was perfect for our needs. We self catered most nights and the kitchen was ideal. The living space was cosy and comfortable. Thank you .

  • A warm, cosy and comfortable house in a quiet village location. Perfect for visiting Skomer Island and walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

    Nigel2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a great few days. We loved it. Fantastic location - five minutes drive to Martins Haven for the puffin island boat - and walking distance to fantastic dog-friendly beaches and fantastic cliff-top walks around the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

    Tom2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is immaculate, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The sunny enclosed garden was an extra bonus, and thoroughly enjoyed by our two young children at the end of a busy day. We wanted to be based in Marloes to get to the Skomer ticket office in good time (we’ve been for several years and can’t recommend it highly enough), and for this the house was absolutely perfect. I hope we will be back in years to come.

  • A great location, stunning views along the coastal path and a great little cottage to stay , highly recommended as a perfect self catering cottage in this beautiful area. The host is easy to communicate with and very helpful in providing plenty of information of the area.

  • A tidy, modern house in a quiet cul de sac in the village. Walk to pub and post office just a few hundred metres. Lovely beaches nearby and lots of wonderful walks along the Pembs coast. It’s a great base for Marloes, Dale, Martins Haven.

    Andrew2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
