If you want a quiet rural getaway, then this is the place. The surrounding areas make for some excellent walks if you wish to go off and explore. The accommodation was fantastic, quirky and clean. The bed was the most comfortable we've had whilst using an Airbnb and we couldn't hear a sound from the bedroom. Excellent value and we plan to return when the weather is better to some more exploring. Definitely 5 star

The Butterfly Cottage is the perfect place for a few nights away, with some nice walks nearby and lovely views. The bed is the comfiest thing I’ve ever slept on, it was like lying on marshmallows, and Anita and Bruce were very nice and extra helpful - we used their local guidebook to decide what we were doing throughout the day. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Stayed at Anita's and Bruce place for couple of nights. Unbelievably beautiful views and amazing cottage, most romantic place for couple I could ever imagine. My girlfriend was almost crying when we had to leave. Definitely coming back.

Lovely place to stay, very cosy with everything you could need. The cottage has amazing views, and we loved watching Anita and Bruce's dogs playing outside. Bruce was very helpful when it snowed the morning we were due to leave, dug our car out and advised us on the safest road to take to the main road. We will definitely be back in the better weather!

The cottage was extremely cosy and clean, and provided a wonderful base for our trip to the Pennines. Lots of great walks nearby, and Anita and Bruce were available if we had any questions. Homemade bread on arrival was a lovely touch - would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet retreat.

My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Butterfly Cottage. We were visiting during Storm Dennis but it was still stunning in the snow! Anita and Bruce gave us tips on walks we could do near by and we were happy enough to sit and enjoy the cottage when the weather was really nasty! The cottage is wonderful - gorgeously quaint and quirky with a beautiful and elegant mezzanine bedroom, cosy and comfy lounge area, well equipped, new kitchen and shower room. We had a delightful stay. The addition of wireless internet would make it perfect!

A lovely hideaway in the countryside. The wood burner was fantastic after returning home from a walk in a blizzard! Very nicely furnished and a lovely cosy cottage feel about it. Top Tip: Take slippers. The floors can be cold on your feet in winter.

Michael was very welcoming, he provided us with lots of recommendations regarding where to walk / eat and drink. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the cottage. Perfect location just off of the A68 with plenty to do in the surrounding area. You won't be dissapointed.

A very well made and insulated shepherds hut with a stylish interior. Even in Storm Dennis we felt warm & cosy. A lovely little get away in the countryside and andrew made us very welcome. He even let us feed the sheep and see his workshop where he builds his Shepherd Huts.

Great place, small and compact but has everything you need. Great host and even let my boy hand feed the sheep. We stayed during the last storm, was still nice and warm. Defo recommend, and we’ll more than likely re visit.

The Little Blue Hut was a fantastic get away, Andrew was brilliant left us to have our own space but was there to help when we needed it. He let us check out later on the Sunday as he had no one else arriving and there was a bad storm which was really nice of him. The Hut is really well designed myself my partner and our dog Bodhi enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely recommend staying here.

The Glass House is spectacular! It’s a cosy, beautiful space. The location is pretty epic and quite secluded. It is a little off the beaten track - that’s why we chose it. Some of the local roads in winter aren’t the best. We visited at the end of February in a small car, after three consecutive storms but we did find a route there that was easy enough. It’s well worth fully reading Julia’s directions to figure the best route for you to take. The underfloor heating keeps the place cosy even without the log burner. There are great local walks. Plenty of things to keep you busy in Allendale (1.5hr walk) and Hadrians Wall is just a short drive away. Julia is great, her farm is lovely - fully recommend and would happily visit again!

Great location. First time away with our dog who also had a good time. Lots of good walks, short car journey to Allendale where pubs serve good food and even better pints.

Lovely funky little place, beautiful scenery, was a shame we had rain! There are chickens roaming about outside of the house and sheep in the fields nearby. Julia and her husband were so friendly and welcoming and have local recommendations. The place is very cosy with a huge log fire, we had a lovely time ☺️

The Glass House is a stunning space I a stunning landscape. Perfect escape to the country with our black lab who loved the countless walks from the front door. Highly recommend and hope to be back one day!

We went away for a couple of nights and it was great. A cute little barn with everything we needed. And very very cosy. Enjoyed the fact that there was no WiFi and poor signal, made us appreciate the time together more and the lush views rather than being distracted. Very muddy in the wet as you'd expect but didn't let it put us off. Some lovely walks to be had.

Had the most amazing stay. So tranquil and secluded. The house is so impressive, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Anything you need - it’s there. We used the log burner and the underfloor heating made it so warm and cosy on a windy, winters night. The whole place is just really special. 10 minutes in the car to nice little pubs and great food at the golden lion in Allendale. Julia is so quick to respond and leaves you to your own devices but you know she’s around should you need anything. A really unique place and beautiful surroundings. Can imagine it’s gorgeous in summer with the BBQ and lovely little garden. Thank you Julia!!!

Just fantastic. Peaceful location, fantastic accommodation, friendly hosts, brilliant atmosphere. Great touches all over the house - and a very welcome attitude to 'explore' and discover. Hats, swords, pictures, blankets, games, a cinema (!) and loads more. Highly recommended!

I’d like to recommend to anyone who is looking for castle-living. That is amazing stay and my kids love it very much. The little one can play at the toy room for a whole day. The castle is close to the Lake District. It is totally fine if you want to go and back at the same day. There is some miss understanding when we booked the room. Wendy give us two beds with a reasonable price, which is really nice. We will surely come and visit next time.

It was an absolutely fantastic experience staying at Augill Castle and we will definitely come back. Everything was spot on and the food was excellent! The rooms and the exterior are even nicer than in the pictures. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Augill Castle is truly special. The history of the place, the way Simon and Wendy have restored it, and the way they run it today were all exceptional. I loved the informal nature of our stay--it really feels like you're with family when you're at Augill. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to the Lake District. And the rooms (and linens!) are incredible to boot.

Second time here and the barn is a lovely spot and nice and comfortable. Very quiet and well placed for visiting attractions in the area. Hosts are very responsive. Some nice pubs around in the little villages close by. We could probably live in the barn.

Quarry Barn is a lovely getaway in the perfect location! Michael & June were very responsive to messages and Michael greeted us upon arrival with some great tips and dog friendly recommendations for the local area! The Derwent Manor Hotel was within walking distance (great for a few drinks) and Derwent Reservoir was just 10 mins in the car. The barn was spotlessly clean and decorated throughout to a high standard. We hope to stay again in future!

Absolutely fantastic stay, wish we book for an extra night. Michael gave us loads of tips on places to visit and go for a drink, would definitely return for another visit.

Second stay at this beautiful barn. A perfect, cosy retreat. Perfect location for walks around the nearby countryside. Modern and spotless.

This was a second stay at Quarry Barn, this time for a romantic hideaway for Valentines. Cosy and relaxing with an opportunity to walk from the front door and also to the nearby hotel across the fields for a beer or two. I’m sure we will go back again...hopefully when the sun is shining!

Michael and June's place is beautiful. Its a very clean and stylish place. They even left us some milk for our arrival. Lots to do and see nearby also. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely perfect. We were in the area delivering a course at the local school and this ticked all the boxes. Peter's house is IMMACULATE, stylishly decorated and with lots of nice touches including fruit juice and gin in the fridge and cupboards of essentials. Will definitely stay again.

Peters place is a wonderful, cosy home from home. With a modern style you relax as soon as you enter. It is a 15 minute drive from town centre of Durham, half hour from Newcastle and in between for so many other places. The building of the estate still continues however when windows are closed you can't really hear it so it doesn't bother you much. We spent a week at Peters place, it was accessible, well decorated, clean and thoughtfully prepared. We'll be exploring more of Durham in the future, so will definitely stay again.

Our second stay at Peters house did not disappoint. Very comfortable & clean house located in easy reach of Durham, Newcastle and the little seaside town of Seaham. We will return.

A beautiful cabin with a wonderful view. We had the most relaxing stay, the pod was sparkling clean and beautifully designed, the log burner was cosy and the decking and hot tub is lovely and private. Our host Sue even got in touch to say we could stay longer than the usual check out to shelter from the miserable weather! We will definitely book again.

Just had three amazing nights in the countryman... it did not disappoint! Fantastic views, perfectly private hot tub and deck area. The pods are beautifully furnished with homely touches. Brilliant location for exploring the local areas such as Kielder park and hadrians wall!! We will definitely visit again

Beautiful location and accommodation with friendly hosts. Loved getting out the city and into the middle of the country and the hot tub was a great wee bonus even in the middle of a storm! Hosts were so accommodating of our toddler and dog, providing a cot and high chair and making us all feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend!

Only thing I would say is the pictures you have online for the pods and the surrounding area do not do it justice at all. The pods are stunning, brilliantly designed and built and the perfect size. Julia's cottage is really lovely and she is a brilliant host. We walked her dogs with her on our first day, showing us which walks to go on and we met and stroked the animals she has around the place which pleased my 10 year old very much! The cottage is cute with comfy beds and lots of charm. The best bit is the location - very remote and beautiful views from every window. Absolutely lovely.

Julia is a wonderful host - just right in terms of checking everything is ok, and open offer to help with anything we’d forgotten. The cottage is utterly charming and a haven in the countryside. Cosy and rustic, but full of modern amenities.

Knockburn cottage was an absolutely wonderful break away, the cottage is super cosy and comfortable especially at this time of year. Having the fire lit in the evening was a really nice treat. The bed is extremely comfortable and we slept like babies! There are lovely little touches like fluffy dressing gowns, slippers and an honesty box of local goodies (we unfortunately didn't bring any cash for it but there were some delicious looking things in there!). We didn't have much trouble finding the place as Julia sent extensive directions. There isn't any wifi and phone signal is touch and go but that was part of the charm. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil we needed for cooking & baking as well as basic necessities like oil, salt & pepper. We had an amazing time and are definitely planning on coming back!

I only stayed at Emma’s for one night, in preparation for an Exam I had in Bishop Auckland. It was the perfect place to stay to relax and get myself ready. I can see that this apartment would be great for larger groups too, including families, looking to get away and have some quality time.

The Regent's Chambers was a lovely flat and had all the amenities we needed. Emma was a fantastic host with great communication and a very handy check in video! The flat is about a 5min walk from the main high street and there's two big supermarkets a few minutes further. The town was lovely though it was just a shame we couldn't get out and about much because of the storm. If you're eating in Bishop Auckland I definitely recommend Beedles Chippy and Panda Panda. We managed to make a quick stop (40mins away) in the North Pennines on our drive back home. If you only have a little bit of time, I highly recommend the High Force falls. It was absolutely stunning and feels like you've been transported to somewhere in North America! I wish we could have spent a lot longer there!

We stayed for an evening for a work trip, it was in an ideal location for us. It is quite a big space and could have definitely stayed for more than one day. Garden is secure if you have a dog, cannot hear much noise from the flat above. Nice little touches like cereals, butter, bread which you dont get from many air b and b's. Thanks Emma

Such a fabulous place to stay

Beautiful cosy cottage, 4 of us and dog stayed, plenty of room for us all. There were thoughtful touches like a ready made fire and basket of items for our dog to use. Immaculately clean and everything needed was there for a self cater weekend. The host was super friendly and made check in nice and simple, which we like after a long drive. The Moss Inn just round the corner is a must, great staff and great atmosphere. The cottage is a good base to see lots of the local area which is stunning. We highly recommend and will definitely book again.

John was a wonderful host and walked us around the cottage, explaining how to use amenities. The log burner was well used and enjoyed. We cooked a Sunday lunch easily as the kitchen provided lots of utility. The beds were very comfortable. The area is surrounded by stunning countryside and lots to do. John provided love Christmas touches in the cottage which were lovely. We would highly recommend this cottage. Thanks John.

Gutted that we only stayed here for one night whilst on the way to Scotland. A lovely place in a unique setting that we would go back to so that can we can explore more of the area. Jane is incredibly welcoming and a super host. The flat is finished with character and is very clean. It is situated in a lovely street with great nature on your doorstep. There is a brilliant collection of books and games that had me very entertained me in the evenings. I will certainly be coming back again!

Original accommodation, nice and comfortable. There is everything you need to enjoy your stay and visit the region. Communication very friendly and responsive. It is an address to recommend.

Anna’s flat is spotlessly clean and is very well equipped, both in the kitchen and for entertainment. If the rain ruins your stay you have the choice of Sky, DVDs or board games to keep you occupied. Anna was at home when we arrived and let us in to the flat and was available if we had problems, which we didn’t. The bedroom is light and airy and the bed is extremely comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was powerful. If you are looking for accommodation in Darlington, look no further than here. Absolutely wonderful.

We really enjoyed our four night stay at Ellen's place. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen very well equipped. It was a warm and cosy environment to return to each day, after spending time with our family in the North East. Ellen was very hospitable and helpful and provides everything you could need. The DVD collection is large and we enjoyed watching some of the local history ones that portray the mining heritage of this region. When the first storm of 2020 hit the area on Monday 13th Jan, it was a real godsend to have a good Thai/Chinese takeaway just around the corner. Our Brittany Spaniel had a wonderful time. As many others have said, this coastline is great for dog walkers and the reclamation and improvements to the landscape are to be commended. Like so many other places in the North East, this former mining colliery has seen better days, but the people are friendly and helpful and Ellen has done a fantastic job of making this place so inviting, relaxing and comfortable. We do intend to return.

Nice and cozy, cute place.

A grand place to stay for new years with plenty of walks and local amenities nearby. The locals are lovely, the area is indeed under improvement but it was still a very pleasant stay. We came so our dog didn't have to suffer through fireworks and he slept the whole night and didn't want to leave the property when we had to go home! Ellen is full of local knowledge and very caring, she's one of the nicest hosts we've had!

We really enjoyed our stay in Lanchester. Our hosts were so nice and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and had recommendations for all sorts of activities and restaurants. The accommodation is superb, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay - including the all important bottle opener! The lodge is spacious and has a lovely good sized wet room. Comfortable armchairs have been provided so you have options should you choose to have a cozy night in as we did. Our hosts even went to the trouble of stocking books and board games. Lots of little extras such as shampoo, body wash, body cream etc were provided in the bathroom. And the kitchen was stocked with bread and milk for our arrival - which is always a lovely touch. Next time we are in the North East we will be staying here again.

Katrinas place is outstanding. It has a very comprehensive range of kitchen utensils/plates/glassware etc and the cooking facilities were excellent. Rooms are immaculately clean. They are also spacious and comfortable. I really can't think of anything that was less than a high standard and I will certainly be adding this to my list of "stay agains" In addition, Katrina is the perfect host. Excellent communication. Very helpful. definitely 5 stars.

Katrina’s cottage was everything I hoped it would be. It had the look of an old farm house but the amenities of modern day. I loved getting to see all of the cows and sheep in the pasture. Very relaxing place and not too far from civilization. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone that wants some quiet time in the country. Was a little sad that the hot tub died before my stay, but Katrina made up for it by reducing the rate and providing a great place to stay with some nice little touches.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Katrina's cottage. We stayed with our 2 daughters and they loved it. They were fascinated with the working farm around the cottage, watching the cows and sheep being moved from field to field kept them amused. This was our second time staying and we would stay again in a heartbeat, very clean and homely. Katrina is a great host who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and adds little surprise home comforts to make your stay even better. Would highly recommend.

This is an excellent cottage, sparkling clean, has everything you need. The views from the garden are splendid and the flock of sheep kept us entertained for hours. Katrina has supplied some lovely supplies and the cottage is very comfortable and cosy. Katrina and the family are very welcoming. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Fantastic place for families! We traveled there with our two little girls ages 4 and 2. She set up the cottage with baby gates, toys, a pack n play and more. Our kids loved being able to see the sheep and cows. The views are stunning. It’s a great location to see the English countryside and we were able to drive to several castles from this location. I would highly recommend this place!!! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Dani is a fantastic host. The cottage is very cosy and she left lots of lovely little touches everywhere. From the fully stocked supplies for the fire to breakfast in the fridge. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to stay again! Nothing was too much trouble and she was quick to respond when I had a query. The cottage has a lot of rustic charm with exposed beams and an open fire. It has all the facilities you would need as well as nice touches like fuel for the fire (which was alight when arrived !) and breakfast items for you first morning. The village is very quiet with just a pub (good beer and good food) a couple of minutes walk away.

Cosy, cute, warm and lovely little house. Spent a very nice night in a great little part of Co. Durham. It felt like home.

Lovely little one bed cottage in a lovely little village. Local pub close by and dog friendly. Having a lit fire when we arrived was amazing, thank you. Added extras were great also, like breakfast items and bathroom essentials like wipes etc. We had a great 2 night break away with our daughter and dogs. Host very responsive and helpful.

Dani’s cottage is the perfect location for a peaceful break. It definitely saved us from the Christmas madness. Everything about this place eludes charm. From start to finish Dani couldn’t have been more helpful. From walking in to a lit open fire helping warm us on a cold day, to exploring the quaint cottage to find more thoughtful touches like fresh milk and bread and the Christmas decorations; everything was perfect. The ideal setting for walkers and dog owners.

The hut really is a peaceful escape with all the advantages of the city and beaches near. We took advantage of both, we bought our dog with us and she tucked perfectly under the bed! Durham city was really dog friendly. The facilities and special touches that Richard had added to the hut were just gorgeous, it is warm, cute and homely. Thank you Richard.

The Hut in the Hollow is a very beautiful place to stay, it is full of character and cosy but has everything you need-we even had milk left for us and some snacks were provided. Richard is a fantastic host who responds very quickly to messages and my partner and I would be very happy to stay again.

It’s not surprising to see so many good reviews for the hut. It is a fantastic place, decorated so stylishly and thoughtfully. Location wise was excellent, we had no bother walking in and out of the city centre. Icing on the cake was the flawless communication. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A true oasis! Extra well organised, tidy, optimal use of the space, cosy! The hosts provided freshly ground coffee, an excellent selection of tea, fresh milk... I really hoped I could have stayed longer, and enjoy the wooden stove and the private garden. Fully recommend!

We had a lovely weekend at the cottage. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was well protected from the elements, even in early March. We had a lovely walk along the river and a trip into Stanhope for lunch. It's a really peaceful spot.

Me and my boyfriend had a lovely weekend at nicola's cottage. Beautiful views. Cottage was beautifully furnished with everything you need, fresh flowers and processo on arrival was a really lovely touch. Shame the weather was miserable but we really enjoyed a chilled out relaxing weekend. The hottub was a definite highlight. Everything was nicely done. Nicola was a wonderful host always there to help. Would definitely recommend, we will be booking up again soon xx

Plum Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The location is stunning - quiet and peaceful and over looking the river wear, it is a true slice of heaven. The cottage itself is gorgeous, combining the charm of a cottage with all mod cons - the Wi-Fi was the best we had experienced in a holiday let and the kitchen and bathrooms were fantastic - loads of hot water. The wood burning stove was the icing on the cake. Bev was the perfect host, friendly, welcoming and helpful while also leaving you to enjoy your time there - knowing she was a phone call away if you needed anything. A truly five star experience.

What a lovely hideaway Carlene's place is! We were house hunting around Lanchester and Wolsingham and it was perfectly located for us. We had snow, sleet and the very windy Storm Jorge during our short stay but The Annexe was super cosy! We loved it so much that after a long day of house viewings we opted for a bottle of wine and a takeaway for night 2. We didnt use the kitchen but can say that it was really well equipped. Bed is super comfy (we only used the one in the upper open plan area) - it is just a great place all round. Carlene was a lovely host and responded to all my questions and enquiries really quickly, we met and had a chat, she's lovely. If she'll have us, we will be back!

This was our second visit here and we all loved it! Amazing if you have children as there are toys and games. Nice setting in the countryside but close to so many places. We will be back.

MY wife and I were staying in the area for a wedding and the Carlene's property "The Annexe "was the perfect accommodation for the 2 of us . It is has been tastefully converted into a wonderfully equipped and very clean property. It is Ideally located for visitors wishing to explore not just the local area but Co. Durham and Tyneside.

We spent a wonderful time at this cottage. Everything was just perfect. The host lady had left a bottle of wine for us, which made feel back home. This is an absolute gem of a cottage. It was super clean and cosy, very quiet and relaxing and in the perfect location for exploring the area; we absolutely loved it.

Sarah's cottage was a wonderful and cosy retreat. Our visit was in July so we couldn't justify lighting the open fire, but if we had, we might have struggled to leave! Sarah left us a lovely bottle of wine and our stay was just perfect in every way. We loved the horses visiting us at the back window and watching the sheep from the front! Viewing the rolling hills from the lounge window made watching the TV a second choice! A lovely stay, thank you so much Sarah!

We spent the week at Sarah's place and had a great time. It's a lovely house in a fabulous location with plenty of walks along the river and hills surrounding the house or you can take a short drive to visit other attractions such as Low Force, High Force and Cauldrons Snout to name just a few. I would definitely recommend staying here.

You will not be disappointed, the cottage and location are absolutely heaven, brilliant central location, beautiful village, a truly outstanding cottage and host.

Such a great social space to spend New Years Eve with friends and family. The beds were super comfy and there are some picturesque walks very close to the Chapel - low force was a particular highlight. The selection of board games to suit all ages was a bonus too.

Stayed at the Chapel on the Hill over Christmas for 5 nights and enjoyed every single minute there. All the rooms were well equipped and stylishly decorated, no stone had been unturned when this chapel was renovated. The designer and architect obviously took their time on the Chapel, WOW it’s an amazing place to stay. Then you have the spectacular views from all the windows, and your bedroom. We left our bedroom blind up so we could look at the stars at night (unfortunately all nights were overcast) we had the best neighbours ever (Sheep) perfect. The little village of Middleton-in-Teesdale was quaint and Bernard Castle had all the shops you needed. We would definitely come back, again and again. Thank you Anna for being so prompt with our questions.

The Chapel on the Hill is fantastic! We had a great time celebrating a birthday here and I would definitely recommend booking it for a trip. The place is clean, comfy and finished to a very high standard. It’s located in a great area for fresh air and walking. Anna was also very helpful and we can’t thank her enough for a great trip!

The Chapel is an outstandingly beautiful place to escape to. Not only is the whole place decorated with style and flair, but the 360 views around the North Pennines are simply stunning. We had a fantastic stay with a 10 month old and a very excited 3.5 year old. It is our favourite AirBnB destination we have been to so far and we will definitely be back again next time we need to get away from the madness of city life.

For peace, tranquility and spectacular rural beauty, you will never find a better place then the Chapel on the Hill. I cannot begin to describe the absolute “perfectness” of this one-time Methodist Chapel. Not only is the Chapel the perfect place to relax and unwind, it is also within easy driving distance of quaint English villages with surprisingly good restaurants and amazing natural beauty. This is one of the most wonderful places we have ever visited. It is spotlessly clean and wonderfully appointed. I cannot thank Anna enough.

This is an amazing house, Our family have very beautiful vacation in here. Around the house is pretty grass covered and mountain view. the animals are very close the house, we all enjoy this comfortable and natural view ! This charming house and 4 rooms , 3 bathrooms, a piano ,fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. we feel very relax at here. By the way, because we have some problem with wifi, but the host reply quickly and kindly. thank for her ! We will really miss this charming and cozy place !

The pictures of the apartment don't do the place justice as its larger than it looks. The apartment was clean, well furnished and comfortable (the beds were extremely comfy). The hosts thoughtfully leave cereals, milk, tea, coffee and sugar for their guests. So when we arrived it was brilliant to be able to have a cup of tea after the long journey without having to go to the shops. There is a well stocked Spar next door and 2 massive supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys) 5 mins drive away if you need additional supplies. The apartment block is very secure and there is an undercover parking space assigned to the apartment. I found the parking space a little tight as i have a toddler to get out of my car (which is wide anyway), but there was ample parking on the road which was an additional couple of steps, so parking is not an issue if 2 cars were visiting. I could also see the car from the apartment window. The apartment was perfect for our needs and I will definitely be returning.

Clean and tidy, ideal for our needs, would stay again next time we are in the area.

Despite being outside Bishop Auckland which is the city of reference, the accommodation is very well served by public transport, bus 6, which connects Cockfield to Durham (county seat), passing through the Bishop Auckland bus station. This means that from West Auckland where Lynn's apartment is located, it is easy to reach the beautiful areas at the foot of the Pennines as well as the sea of Seaham or Hartlepool. Lynn's apartment is very functional and comfortable. Lynn and David are really very kind and helpful and so we will be back.

The apartment was a perfect place for me to stay whilst visiting my daughter and grandson. Collecting keys and getting in was very straight forward and I really appreciated having a private parking space. The place felt cosy and had everything I needed. As others have said there was a little bit of street noise at the front in the lounge but the back where the bedrooms are is very quiet and I didn't get disturbed at all. The place was very clean and the bed very comfy. I would definitely stay again. Thanks for everything Emma.

Myself and my partner stayed at this pod for our anniversary. Everything from a picturesque views of the country to the cozy and homely touches and decor inside and of course the hot tub was honestly just amazing. Neil couldn’t of been more helpful in communicating quickly and giving us information of what we need to know on arrival to then letting us enjoy our stay but only being a call or message away if needed. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
