Great location. We never got to meet Ian, but he was very helpful with detailed arrival instructions as well as answering our questions. The booklets and phamplets in the room also provided useful information for the neighbourhood and surrounding. I gave it 4/5 stars because the wifi doesn't work. While accommodations in the area seems to be around the same price range, I can't believe there's no WiFi (or at least one that works) at this price point, in today's day and age.

Ian has a great, clean 1 bedroom & living room/kitchenette in the centre of Coles Bay. Great location, made it really easy to book and check in on short notice. Bed was extremely comfortable and we couldn't have asked for a better night's rest. The kitchenette has an electric frying pan, toaster, kettle, coffee machine - sufficient to prepare simple meals, not to cook big dinners. Thanks Ian!

A great place to stop prior to adventures in the surrounding national park. Easy check in, great communication from the owner. Very handy to have the restaurant and local IGA just around the corner.

Ian wasn't present during our overnight stay but the information left was fine. There was a very detailed map of the surrounding area which was helpful. Ian has put thought into what he is providing and the living room is well designed. Great shower too. I would recommend staying a little longer than we did to make the most of this beautiful area. There are limited eateries and best to dine before 7pm as many places close early!

A very unique house near the Freycinet NP in a quiet neighbourhood and close access to the beach. A very large kitchen well equipped with all you need to cook up a meal. Verina left for the guests a well put together information on the walks and places to eat which was very helpful. Very much appreciated. Our family enjoyed our stay very much.

Cabin 96 is a real gem in Coles Bay. Everything is as shown in the photos. The cabin is lovely, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the location is very convenient, right next to the national park if you are doing a hike, and with beautiful views of the mountains from the balcony. I really recommend this to anyone coming to Coles Bay!

The views from The Cabin are amazing! It's been a great base for walking in the National Park and visiting some local wineries. Arrival instructions were easy to follow, even at night, and we enjoyed the little path down to the beach and local shops for supplies.

Convenient and comfortable. House is wonderfully warm with slab heating throughout. Ros and Family welcomed us on arrival and were on hand to answer any questions. A great base for exploring Freycinet National Park.

Secluded cottage on Freycinet Peninsula. 15min drive to the National Park & Coles Bay. Birds & wildlife around the cottage. Great for a getaway from it all experience.

Andreas house was comfortable, a home away from home and very private and quiet. Communication was easy and there was a lot of information about what to see and do in Coles Bay and environs. My husband and I stayed 3 nights which gave us ample time to do the walks and the cruise, explore Moulden Lagoon, one winery and relax as well. The house would suit a family or group too.

We had a lovely time at Shucker's Cottage. It was very quiet and peaceful, just what we were after. The cottage was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We had an amazing time exploring and hiking Freycinet National Park. Shucker's Cottage was great to come back to at the end of the day.

The cabin was quiet and private which is exactly what we wanted. It had everything we needed and we loved walking the property trying to find wallabies. My husband and visited Tasmania for the first time and were told Coles Bay was an essential place to visit. We left booking accommodation pretty last minute so found everything was pretty booked up... luckily we managed to scoop up Shuckers Cottage, which ended up being a great location. Although it's about a 5 minute drive to Coles Bay and the beach, the cottage was in such a quiet, secluded spot that we really enjoyed it. There were wallabies grazing in the yard and wombats digging. The stars at night were unbelievable! The place was very tidy and you could tell Andrea puts care into keeping the place presentable. When we arrived there were two towels neatly rolled on the bed and mini hotel bottles of shampoo and soap, which was a nice touch. Andrea was a great host and the key box made checking in a breeze. Would definitely recommend!

The location is stunning. Watch sunsets over Coles bay without leaving the deck or the living room. Also a short drive to the town centre for last minute supplies, and to Freycinet National Park, which is stunning. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The kitchen has basic condiments so if you intend to stay in and cook, make sure you stock up at the big supermarkets in Sorrell, otherwise there are smaller grocers in Swansea or Coles Bay. Overall, would recommend.

This home is beautiful, spacious and has everything in it that you may need. The host really has thought of everything. The location is gorgeous. A perfect place for a relaxing stay while exploring Freycinet National Park. The home has beach access and a wonderful view. It is in a very quiet area.

Stephen's house is fabulous. It is well equipped and tastefully decorated with a fabulous view. Communication with him was great. It would be even better if it had internet but we did know that it did not when we booked it. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoy the awesome view from the big Terrance and the house was well equipped. It was clean and very cozy decorated.

At The Bay was pretty much perfect. We walked in just before sunset to be wowed by the panoramic view of the gorgeous pink and golden light on the Hazards stretching before us. All from the comfort of an open fire in the living room. Wonderful. I went with my husband and my parents, and we were all comfortable in our separate king bedrooms - Mum and Dad loved their luxurious ensuite also with magnificent views! Pretty much every detail thought of. We are all very fussy travellers and have no hesitation in recommending and hopefully will return ourselves. Thank you Gary and Wendy!

The house has a modern style and layout, and looks even better than the photos. It was spotless and airy, with spectacular views of the bay. All the rooms were warm and comfortable, and we put the fireplace to good use, thanks the wood provided. The kitchen was stocked with basic necessities, crockery and cutlery with an induction cooker for cooking. There is no wifi at the moment but I understand it will be installed soon.

A beautiful part of the world, and the accommodation was perfect for our group of two couples. The facilities were top notch, clean and modern. We loved the view from the living area, main bedroom and deck - simply stunning. The house is only a stone's throw away from the store and cafe. We would return in a heartbeat.

The 4 of us (2 couples) absolutely loved this place! It had everything we needed for a really comfy stay - great beds, bathrooms (monsoon showers and heated towel racks), kitchen, and fireplace. All new and nicer than the photos! Gary sent check in codes well in advance so check in was very easy. The view was gorgeous. Would love to come back one day.

This house was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. A lot of thought and planning has gone into making our stay perfect. It was only a short drive to the restaurants and the National Park. I would love to go back their one day.

A new home with space designed for guests. The bedroom is large and has all amenities and well furnished with a very comfortable king bed (which is rare in Australia.) The living space between the two rental units is of similar quality and includes counters for coffee, tea and juice and shelves where breakfast items (included with the room) are easily available when you want them. Just of the living room is a very nice patio with dining table. All in all Jen's place is an excellent choice for a stay in Coles Bay.

Jen is an amazing host. Our room was amazing..we wished we had stayed longer. Everything is first class..we would definitely recommend Malting Lagoon Guest House. My husbands dietary requirements were very well catered for...enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. A very relaxing place to stay.

This was by far the best accommodation we stayed at over our Tasmanian escape. Very modern apartment with a full kitchen, fast internet, easy and quality shower and working TV. Literally no flaws.

Great studio close to Coles Bay and to all walks in the area. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay there.

My husband and I loved Studio 59. Had a warm welcome from Verina and Brad. I enjoyed the few cherry tomatoes and strawberries plucked from the pots around the deck. Kitchen was well stocked, the induction stove was great for cooking, though there is no microwave.

Lovely little straw bale duplex with private deck overlooking the bushland setting and Lagoon. It is roughly a 10min drive to Coles Bay and surrounds. The place is very well decked out with fully equipped kitchen, nice sofa and TV etc. The only downer was the lack of Wifi in the house to contact relatives, outdated stereo and rickety bed which needs upgrading given the cost. All in all a sound place which was a pleasure to stay at.

The studio was cute, comfortable, private and great value. Close to Wineglass Bay walks and great seafood at Freycinet Marine Farm. We loved staying here, the host was friendly and helpful and we watched some beautiful sunsets from the front deck.

We had a lovely stay at Freycinet Haven. It's an extremely comfortable and well equipped house in a gorgeous location right next to the National Park. Louise is a helpful and responsive host. We would recommend a stay here.

Location is fantastic. The accommodation is located near the National Freycinet Park and the visitor centre is nearby, within walking distance. There is also a convenience store at town centre which is a few mins drive away. The house is very spacious, cosy & well equipped. Totally enjoyed the stay and would love to recommend to other travellers.

Very well equipped and excellent accommodation. My family of 4 very much enjoyed our stay. Direction to the property was well provided by the host although we did miss the turning into the house as it was pitch dark when we arrived. Perhaps the host may wish to consider providing some lighting at the turning and entrance into the house. There was no network reception/wifi around the house so communication could be an issue especially in the event of emergency. Understand wifi has since been made available so that should help.

Coles Bay and the freycinet peninsula are epic. This house has all that you need to base yourself. We had two nights and loved it all. The expansive living area and wonderful kitchen became the hub of our groups activity. Highly recommend

We were a group of 4 couples travelling from Queensland - with 4 separate rooms and 2 bathrooms this house was perfect for our stay in Coles Bay. The house is presented beautifully and is very clean. We enjoyed reading the guest book, hearing about what others have enjoyed, and can see the owners have taken on feedback very well. The information provided to us prior to our arrival was excellent - including directions and other info we needed to know. Everything you could think of that you might need was included in the kitchen, and laundry. The heating was a bonus for us queenslanders travelling in July! Loved the electric blankets and towel warmers! The house is in an excellent location - walking distance to the beach, national park, the local cafe and convenience store. We spent a day walking to Wineglass Bay. This place really made our holiday!! Thank you!

The location of the house in relation to Freycient National Park was great, as you are situated just outside of the national park. It was a easy walk into the town centre and the house was very clean. We loved watching and trying to photograph the little honey-eater birds that would feed on the flowers outside. Very quiet at night.

The property itself is very clean, comfortable and roomy, with enough space for everyone. Everything is as advertised. However, the highlight is the view of Coles Bay that you can watch from the comfort of an arm chair. Don't even have to go outside! Lois was very helpful and responsive to questions. This is a home in the most idyllic spot - the view and tranquillity are perfect! The house has every piece of equipment you could desire - a fully equipped kitchen to prepare food, but you will need to bring all your ingredients. The only food provided is for tea and coffee. The house is spotlessly clean with full and ensuite bathrooms. Bed is king size and super comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here!

Perfect location to access everything this scenic area has to offer including the cruises, national parks, supermarket & restaurants etc. A good supply of firewood was provided for the cooler weather and everything was neat & tidy with all essentials provided. A great house for a couple or the whole family.

This is a very comfortable house with the everything you could possibly need for a pleasant stay so close to Freycinet park . A good view of the bay walking distance to store and owner very prompt with all requests . A delight to stay at.

What an amazing view! The Beach House was well suited to host our party of 7 (4 adults, 3 children). The hosts were excellent in communicating before our stay and everything went smoothly with check in etc. We only wished the house could have been cleaner, the downstairs especially (blinds, baseboards, windows in particular). But, otherwise, a great house in a fantastic location.

Had a wonderful family holiday at Paul's place. A huge house with a large yard and deck. Lots of space for two families with kids or a family and grandparents. Two lounge rooms so the adults could have some time away from the kids! My daughters loved the hammock on the deck and the games and the bunk beds inside. It is a just short drive to quant Cole's Bay from Paul's place. He provided lots of insider info on Cole's Bay with his recommendation of where to eat and shop and great activities to do around the area. Would highly recommend Paul's place!

What a wonderful place! Both cleverly designed and cosy and perfect for the three of us. Beautiful view, cosy fire, comfortable beds and loved a soak in the bath at the end of the day. While a drive was needed to get supplies, this made it feel far more like getting away. Highly recommended for a great relax.

Stayed at Cocktails With a View for 2 nights and it just wasn't long enough! The views are absolutely spectacular and we didn't want to tear ourselves away! The photos really don't do it justice. The house is extremely well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, there's a lovely deep bath for soaking in and underfloor heating in the bathrooms, you can plan to cook while you're there and do your washing if you need to, . The fireplace makes for very cosy nights in too! There's a wonderful ambiance about the home. The property is a short drive to Freycinet National Park and wonderful walks to see Wineglass Bay. There aren't very many eating options nearby but Tombolo on Garnet Ave had nice pizza and staff were a delight. There's also a convenience store on Garnet Ave that stocks essentials and a pretty decent range of Tasmanian produce, cheese, wine, meat and honey. While you're in the area, don't miss the Devil's Corner winery. It has breathtaking views and has to be the loveliest vineyard we stopped at in Tasmania. There's great coffee onsite, wine tasting of course, pizza, seafood and gelato.

Lovely location and views from property superb. We had everything we needed for a 2 night stay but longer stay visitors would miss a washing machine and possibly a dishwasher. The photographs of the property do not exaggerate the manificent outlook in any way.

If you're looking for quality accommodation at a reasonable rate in the stunning environment of Coles Bay, then you can't go past Cathy's "Restpoint'. We only stayed for two nights, but our hosts were friendly and the accommodation was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Why pay hundreds of dollars at the upmarket resorts when you can enjoy million dollar views of the Hazards right on your doorstep!

Cathy informed us that they were fixing a few things on the first floor so we got to stay on the second floor of the house. We had a very well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer facilities which were superb, although the bed was a tad hard - but not a big issue. Amazing location with stunning views of Coles Bay and the area, and is only a 5-7 min drive to the Wineglass bay hike trail. Highly recommended!

The kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean and crisp, and the location provided quick access to the beach (5 min walk) as well as an easy drive to Freycinet, Coles Bay, Freycinet Marine Farm, and Friendly Beaches. The owners provided a handy information book with recommended sites and restaurants along with tips about the house itself. The only slight drawback to this house is that it only has one bathroom which is located next to the master bedroom, but on the far side of the house from the other 2 bedrooms. It was not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if a large group is staying here. I would highly recommend this house as a relaxing and scenic place to spend your Freycinet holiday!

Very satisfied with the trip! Verina this house close to the sea, the sea breeze is blowing out of the balcony, the sound of the tide. The town where the house is very quiet, very suitable want to escape the hustle and bustle at the city's experience facing the sea spring travelers, heating the house is also very good, and we stay at night these days the outdoor temperature is less than about 10 degrees, but the interior just can wear short sleeves. Strongly recommended to Wineglass Bay Car Park there, although only a parking lot, but because of the relationship between the tourists there are many small wild kangaroos will be swinging in the parking lot (to eat), can close contact with wallabies (totally not afraid of people ).

The Waterline had a stunning sea-view over the Great Oyster Bay, a high floor ceiling and big balcony where we enjoy the sunset, night BBQ and breakfast time there. No mobile data reception in the Coles bays area, it nice to enjoy the quiet night with some family games like UNO. Communicate with Verina is easy and she provided clear instruction on how to access the property. We only stay for a night but we enjoy so much, it located only less than 10 mins ride to Wineglass Bay Cruise Pier and Freycinet Oyster Farm. Just a slight drawback, there only one bathroom which is next to the master room and with a connected door, if you are a large group like us (7 adults), would be a bit inconvenient to queue up for showers. And it would be better if shampoo and conditioning is provided to guest. But overall, I would highly recommended to ppls want to stay next to the sea and explore Coles Bay.

Lovely view of the ocean and clean with great decor when we checked in. You get wonderful sights of the winged neighbours in the morning. Just be careful of the friendly six-legged locals at night if you leave the corridor lights on. There's a book provided in front of the television that gives you tips on how to get around the area. It's only a 5 minute drive from the marine farm, and 10 minutes from the Coles Bay town centre. 15-20 minutes from the Pondering Frog, whose Mocha Ice Cream I can't recommend enough :) The house is a short distance from the beach, with two ways to get there. There's a path with quite a fair stretch of trees and weeds that's not the best if you have shorts and flip flops on, but you can also find access to the beach if you walk by the main road, with less vegetation!
