Places to stay in Cochiti Lake

Places to stay in Cochiti Lake
Relaxation & rejuvenation are featured in this High Desert Retreat in New Mexico. Stunning views, quiet & peaceful. Southwest decor with a private entrance & a beautiful garden. Star gazing & moonrise are exceptional. PETS ARE WELCOME! READ THE HOUSE MANUAL WHEN YOU BOOK!!! This will give you the key/arrival info you will need.
The bedroom has a slider door from the outside, for private access, & a private bathroom. The bed, bath, & coffee area are divided from rest of the house for privacy. Plenty of outdoor space to relax, meditate, unwind & chairs sit & eat. A small refrigerator, microwave, & Keurig coffee maker are provided.
Cochiti Lake is a no-wake lake popular for boating, fishing, & kayaking with 2 large campgrounds. A Robert Trent Jones golf course is probably the most scenic in NM. The restaurant @ the golf course, the Stone Kiva, is OPEN FOR BREAKFAST & LUNCH ONLY. No other restaurant for dinner. Dinner in Santa Fe or Albq. only. There is a convenience store & gas station, (all the usual snacks & microwave pizza & closes @ 8pm). ...& a laundromat. An added bonus is cheap gas @ the Pueblo gas station. A mom & pop grocery, Romero's, is 4 miles away in Pena Blanca. (and post office) We are also within just a few miles of 2 Native American Pueblos, Cochiti & Santo Domingo, & TENT ROCKS National Monument. Tent Rocks is one of the must see parks in New Mexico. Bandelier National Monument, north of Santa Fe for exploring cliff dwellings. Great hiking @ Ski Santa Fe 1/2 hour north of SF. Meow Wolf in SF very popular. The Tram to the top of the Sandia Mountains is a 45 minute drive. Another awesome NM experience, with hiking along the Crest Trail @ 11,000 ft. elevation in the cool forest. (A new restaurant is being constructed at the top, but tram is still operating.) A stunning, massive view of NM.
  • Such an unexpected find. The decorations were appropriate for the area and stunning. Achieved the quiet solitude I was looking for and the linens smelled nice.

  • This Airbnb was in such a beautiful location and not hard to find at all. It was relatively close to Santa Fe. Everything about the room was just as expected. Comfy bed, clean room, nice backyard.

  • Great, quiet location. Nice, dog friendly backyard :)

    Luc2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Easy, convenient and nice quiet space. Love that it's dog friendly as well. Little fridge and microwave as Cochiti doesn't have many food options.

    Jaime2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place that's private and quiet, but super easy to find! It's a cozy space that, I think, is perfect for one person (and a pup if you're traveling with one). I would stay again.

  • I liked Carol's place so much that I stayed again on my way back home. I would definitely recommend staying here, it is a clean, comfortable, and cozy spot!

  • Clean, warm, comfortable bed, dog friendly, easy to get to.

    Jillian2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful New Mexico stop for me, my husband and our dog. We arrived in the night after driving all day, and we had no problems finding exactly where to go. Cell reception is limited depending on your carrier though so be sure to have the directions saved. Carol’s place was clean, warm and in a beautiful area.

There were chairs in the bus that we brought outside to watch the stars! Very romantic and we would love to go back, honestly sad to leave. Thanks for an amazing experience!!

  • Amanda was such a great host. She was accommodating even when we weren't planning on arriving until after midnight. She made check in incredibly easy and her bus is the cutest air bnb I've ever seen!

  • Such a cute little desert nook. Loved our stay here

    Daisy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised! It is a desert dream! Space was consistent with all descriptions. Amanda and Alfred are wonderful host who at times responded so fast to my questions that I missed some of them. It was cold night in the bus, low 30s to high 20s but the space heater kept us warm. Great getaway close to Santa Fe.

    Jacob2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute location. Excellent sunsets!

    Jeremy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This bus was such a unique place to stay. It was very cute and exceptionally clean inside. The space heater was on and warmed the place up nicely, which was great since it was snowing and hailing. What a fun experience and a memory to treasure! Thank you!

Your immaculate, detached casita awaits just off the famous Turquoise Trail, just 10 minutes from the artsy town of Madrid (famous for its Christmas lights!) and an easy drive to the Santa Fe Plaza, Meow Wolf, Georgia O'Keefe and great restaurants and museums. Private entrance, spacious bedroom, separate living area with daybed, bathroom, kitchenette, and amazing views!
From the large parking area, pass under a charming adobe artist's gate and walk across the quiet, flagstone-paved garden to your own private casita. Comfortable Adirondack chairs invite you to rest on the covered porch. Once inside, you'll be surprised how much space you can enjoy. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, plenty of storage, and windows with uninterrupted views of the San Marcos plateau. Keep them open! A separate, equally spacious living area offers a daybed that can be made up into a second, twin bed at no extra charge (let us know if you plan to use it for sleeping). The kitchenette offers a convenient fridge, microwave and everything you need to make coffee/tea in the morning. State-of-the-art heating/air conditioning keeps the space comfortable year round, although you will want to open the windows at night to enjoy the cool high desert air. Views from the living room look northeast to the Lone Butte and Eaves Movie Ranch. Be sure to stay up and watch the stars come out!
The Turquoise Trail is a scenic drive between Santa Fe and Albuquerque that runs through historic mining towns nestled in the valleys between hills with 100-mile views. The quaint town of Madrid, just 10 minutes down the road, offers a mile-long walk among charming shops, artist studios and casual restaurants that serve delicious New Mexican cuisine and host live music. The unique beauty and history of Santa Fe is just 23 minutes North, with exceptional dining, shopping, museums and entertainment. Take a walk up Canyon Road on a Friday night when the art galleries host receptions for new exhibits (free refreshments!). Nibble a carnita while people-watching on the shaded Santa Fe Plaza. Explore the museums, the Cathedral, and the shops, while drinking in the almost-constant Southwest sunshine. Expand your adventure with day trips to Bandelier National Monument, the Bradbury Science Museum at Los Alamos, and hiking or horseback riding in the Cerrillos Hills, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch. We can provide suggestions for a variety of activities, particularly local day hikes.
  • Great place to stay! It was nicely tucked away, great to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Very clean and easy to check in!

    Christina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a cute little spot! It was super cozy and clean. Deb was easy to communicate with and check-in was a breeze.

    Rachel2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nice cozy casita with everything you need. Amazing views. Very quite. Just what we needed.

    Kevin2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room with an awesome view, not far from town and lots to do along the way!

    Marc2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and peaceful place, stunning views- easy access to Madrid and Santa Fe yet the feeling of being away.

    Lyn2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying in the Kachina house! There were fresh flowers and tea in the kitchen. I saw the most beautiful sunrise in the backyard! It is a little further from Santa Fe than I had originally realized, but it made it that much more cozy and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

    Bethany2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place is fantastic. It's outside the city so it's a peaceful place to relax. The neighbors and their dog Ricky are wonderful. Ricky led us on a short hike. We can't wait to come back.

    Rachel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay to explore Sante Fe, Madrid and Alberquerque. Just enough off the beaten track to enjoy the peace and quiet and experience the beautiful stars. Deb greeted as when we arrived and gave us lots of recommendations for places to go and to,eat. The little Casita was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy with everything you needed. I can not recommend it highly enough. So comfortable and cosy.

Charming, Private, New Eco Friendly cabin on 2 acres. Five minute walk into town where you'll find the Mine Shaft Tavern, and the Hollar restaurants, Java Junction coffee house, galleries, shops, and the Country Store. The cabin welcomes pets as does the town. The Hollar even has a doggie menu. The cabin, is peacefully located, yet close to everything. Surrounded by cedar, pine and juniper trees, orioles, bluebirds, hummingbirds, are daily visitors along with an occasional Roadrunner.
The Cabin is surrounded by the Ortiz Mts on the south and the Sangre de Christo Mts on the North for amazing sunsets and sunrises. The cabin is fully equipped with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cell phone service may be spotty in the entire town depending on your carrier. WiFi is fine. The cabin has a TV monitor so if you have a HDMI cord you can plug into your compute and stream TV, movies. etc.
Complete privacy with magnificent views of the Ortiz Mountains to the south, and Sangre de Christo Mountains to the north. Lots of land to hike where you'll find old marbles, turquoise, mining tools, a railroad and mining museum at the Tavern, only a 5 minute walk into the center of Madrid.
  • Wow... this place exceed our expectations. Such a beautiful place, where we were able to enjoy ourselves so much! Lana was so helpful and great at communicating with us. Even gave us tips and things to do around the area. Madrid is a beautiful town and the people are so, so, friendly! One of my best stays ever! We will definitely be back!

    Luis2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying here - another great experience!

    Rebekah2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Than you Lana! My dog Finn and I had a great experience at your place! Finn, my new rescue dog, had the time of his life. I’m guessing this is the first time he got to run around a fenced yard. He loved it! He even chased a jack rabbit (thank goodness the rabbit was faster than he was). The snacks you left, the cleanliness of the cabin, all contributed to a perfect weekend getaway. We hiked the Cerrillo National Park - beautiful!

    Patty2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!!!

    J2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lana's place was beautiful, quiet, and clean. We loved its privacy and cleanliness!

    Madeleine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was nice! Hearing coyotes and owls nearby was really cool, and it’s not too far from Cerrillos state park, which was a pretty hike. The drive up to Santa Fe is beautiful too! The only downsides were that we couldn’t get the WiFi working (which honestly wasn’t a big deal at all for us), and the sulphur smell from the well-water was pretty overwhelming after showering. Aside from that, everything was great though!

    Caitlyn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lana was very responsive and friendly and the place was wonderful! My dog loved the desert yard and walking to and around town with me. Very happy with my visit. Highly recommended!

800 sf over-the-garage apartment. This beautiful, new, bright space has all the conveniences of home with a loaded kitchen, BR w/ king-sized bed, laundry room, sofa bed, direct TV, WiFi, instant hot water, and AC. We are located on North Mesa. Short walk/drive to hiking, biking, skiing and ice skating. Ashley Pond, Bradbury Museum, Fuller Lodge Art Center, Labs, Aquatic center, library, grocery store/ restaurants w/in 3 miles. 50 min. from Santa Fe, 90 min. from Taos. Govt. rates w/ i.d.
This apartment is accessed through the garage and up the stairs. An access code will get you into the garage and the apartment at the top of the stairs. There is a sofa bed that is slightly smaller than a double bed (48”x72”). We made this space inviting, bright and comfortable while providing all the conveniences of home. We do not charge a cleaning fee since we do all the cleaning ourselves. We have always been diligent about our cleaning practices and continue to pay close attention to proper disinfecting. Children are welcome, however, the apartment is not conducive to toddlers and infants.
Los Alamos is beautiful in many ways. The Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountains lend themselves to amazing sunsets and sunrises and are close enough to explore. Overall, the town and our neighborhood are very quiet and safe. The views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains as you drive down north mesa on your way to the apartment are breathtaking! Walking and biking trails are plentiful. The “all trails” app can give you specifics. Deer are extremely prevalent so please be mindful while driving through Los Alamos.
  • Sparkling clean, modern, comfortable. Everything you could want in a home away from home. I highly recommend and would stay here again!

Bright bed and bath in Cochiti Lake on the headwaters of the Rio Grande river! This is a small village on the Cochiti Pueblo Reservation. Beautiful 360 degree views, The Milky Way! One of the few large bodies of water for kayaking, sailing etc. Open space and vistas forever. Tent Rocks National Monument is only 3 miles away. There are only 2 places like it in the world, the other being Cappadocia in Turkey. It is super peaceful and relaxed here.
I have included lots of photos. My home is welcoming, clean, and the living areas are very light and open. The outdoor gardens are inviting with views of the Jemez Mountains and Bandelier National Forest from the back patio. We have abundant wildlife (and I don't mean partying!) to consider...coyotes, Jack Rabbits, a herd of wild horses, and many, many bird species. If you want to see the REAL New Mexico? Get...out...of...the big city! I have many places to recommend that will make your heart sing. Both the Cochiti and Santo Domingo Pueblos have several feast days and dances throughout the year where visitors are welcomed. Take a side trip to Gallup on the Navajo Reservation or to Sky City, the Acoma Pueblo. There is so much to see and do using my place as home base.
Cochiti Lake is a quirky, mixed bag of people and homes. Artists, writers, retirees and families having one thing in common living here...we love it! So how beautiful and quintessentially "New Mexico" is it? This area is used over and over as a location for shooting movies and T.V. series. Breaking Bad, Cowboys and Aliens, Book of Eli, Longmire, House of Cards, Better Call Saul, to name a few, have been filmed in our desert landscape, here on the Rio Grande river that flows into our lake. The lake, created by an earthen dam, is the 2nd largest in the country. If sailing is not your thing, we have a Robert Trent Jones Golf course 1 mile from my house. 3 miles away is Kasha-Katuwe, Tent Rocks National Monument, an incredible place to hike in carved out slot canyons and limestone spires. There is also hiking and camping in Tetilla peaks. The other southern pueblos are out our back door...Santo Domingo, San Felipe, Santa Ana and respective casinos. It is an area rich in history and colored by glorious New Mexico sunsets. We have a Mini Mart in town, a gas station, and the "Stone Kiva" diner ( great burgers, homemade fries, and Frito Pie!). There are trails to walk right out the front door. So bring your bicycle! or kayak! and hiking boots.
  • Beautiful home!! Suzanne is such a wonderful lady, very respectful, accommodating and hospitable. I would highly recommend her place and hospitality. ☺️

    Joni2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Home is exactly as pictured, beautiful, peaceful spot outside the city, with great views of the sunset. The place is very clean, and has a great patio for enjoying coffee in the morning or relaxing at the end of the day. Check-in was easy, and the host is wonderful, friendly, and welcoming, I felt right at home.

    M2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne’s place was so charming. The adobe style of her home with a lovely courtyard filled with flowers was a treat to enjoy. Her back patio was always filled with songbirds and hummingbirds. Lots of variety in the plants and grasses made it a special place to sit outside and commune with nature. The location was great for me. Close to Santa Fe but without the hustle bustle of the city. It was peaceful and quiet. A perfect place to retreat after a hard day of sightseeing and shopping! Her home is spotless and comfortable. The bedroom was roomy and the bed was great. The private bathroom was also nice to have. Suzanne is a wonderful hostess. If you want privacy, you have it. If you would like to sit back and converse, she is very obliging. I used the kitchen minimally but it was perfect for making myself breakfast. It is well appointed if you desire to cook a meal. I appreciated being able to do some laundry one day. These are great bonuses for me when I travel. I stayed 5 nights and would definitely book again.

    Ruthann2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne's place is exquisite - every bit as lovely as the photos and then some! This is one of the nicest airbnb spaces I have ever stayed in. Also, if you are looking to get out of town and experience the breathtaking landscapes and big skies of New Mexico, you really can't go wrong here. Suzanne is very kind to share her lovely home with travellers; she made me feel very welcome.

    Nancy2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful 10 days in Suzanne beautiful house! Suzanne is a great host, many good tips for day trips and we had interesting discussions. All around a perfect travel experience! Thank you very much for your hospitality Suzanne and would like to come back once again, best regards Nancy from switzerland

  • Wow! El Burro is absolutely beautiful! The photos of the place sold me on it, but they don't do the house justice. From the moment we stepped in, we were in awe of the cleanliness and thoughtful decor. The whole house was amazing! I also appreciated that Sarah made it clear that she was available if needed, but she let us have our privacy. Definitely recommend staying here if you get the opportunity!

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's spot was great! Far enough away from the city center to provide a retreat-like atmosphere, close enough that it was easy to adventure during the day. Driving to and from was even enjoyable.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at El Burro! It was such a sweet escape from the chaos of daily life. Sarah was incredibly responsive from the time we booked our stay through the time we left. Located in a quiet SW Santa Fe neighborhood, the attached, 165 sq ft. casitia has a private entrance, small patio & a bistro set to enjoy coffee outside. Located about 9 miles from the Plaza, 3 miles from Meow Wolf & 3 miles from Museum Hill. Walking & biking paths are just out the door. Queen bed. The kitchenette has a mini frig, microwave, coffee pot and hot water dispenser. We provide utensils, dishes, coffee, tea & quik bkfst . The bath has a large walk in shower. Park on the driveway.
Our quiet neighborhood does not have street lights. Great for viewing the night sky. Just be aware it is a little tricky to find us the first time if it is dark.
Santa Fe is known for beautiful art and great restaurants. One of the best is just 1.5 miles away, The Ranch House! For the best breakfast burrito, try El Parasol, 1.3 miles. Be sure to check out the dinosaurs on Dinosaur Trail Road. If visiting the VA hospital or Presbyterian Medical Center, they are about .5 miles.
  • Sarah was a super helpful host. She is located in a residential area and I felt very safe there. Great walking trails. Hope to return next year. Thanks

Authentic, family and pet friendly two bedroom casita in family compound with all the amenities.
COVID-19 - What we are doing We know these are uncertain times and want to assure you of the steps we are taking for your health and safety. All surfaces, cabinets, knobs, light switches, remotes, high use wall areas, floors and furniture are bleached between each guest. We removed all accent pillows and extra blankets. We usually leave many towels but have started leaving only what's needed for each visit. Please let us know if you need more. We have foaming hand soap and encourage its use. Please let us know if there's anything more we can do. Thank you for considering our space Quiet two bedroom casita in the historical Village of Agua Fria on the Camino Real. fifteen minutes from the plaza and Canyon Road. Five minutes from Meow Wolf and walking trails. The casita has a queen size bed and a trundle bed, which pulls out and makes a queen or can serve as two singles. There is a fireplace in the master bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with appliances to make the most comfortable living. The bathroom has a tub and shower. We offer a television and wifi. The casita has a fenced yard accommodating dogs and children with an outdoor grill and table set. Parking for two next to the casita with additional down the road. The Aqua Fria village is one of the first villages created when the Spaniards conquered Santa Fe therefore our neighbors have been here for generations creating family compounds that are situated in the old farming fields of Santa Fe. The area feels rural yet completely centrally located in the city. We are available at all times if a problem or need arises.
Our neighborhood is rich in history and houses locals who are related and have been here for generations. The neighborhood has a variety of compounds where families live close and yet there is space between the compounds. It's rural and gives the feeling of time standing still, providing a quiet, authentic Santa Fe experience.
  • We were looking for something a little off the beaten path, and Tish’s place really fit that bill. It was close enough to drive to everything, but far enough away to be quiet and away from the crowds. The best part was the little outdoor space. The dogs really loved to run around outside! It was a very cozy space, with everything we could have needed.

    Amanda2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tishas place is nice and private. Everything was clean and was you would expect.

    Joel2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. So close to all of the fun stuff in Santa Fe like Meow Wolf and bars and shops but also out in the beautiful, scenic desert. I could have stayed forever. Super well stocked shower with hot water and wonderful amenities. Cozy beds, blankets, and couches to snuggle up with. I really appreciated that! Kitchen and was well stocked with a lot of appliances and condiments, and everything was super clean. Cute fenced in yard offered an amazing sunset view and was great for the dogs to roam around in. Would stay here again, again, and again. Thank you!

    Hannah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous place! The bed was also super comfy! It is a 10 minute drive to meow wolf and about 15-20 min from downtown.

    Olivia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little spot! The bedroom fire place (Kiva) was cozy and relaxing. Perfect fenced yard for our dogs. It was sparkling clean and a perfect stay. Can’t wait to come back 💜

    Jennah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best places to stay in Santa Fe! It's so close to everything! Plus, the kitchen had fresh eggs and cookies. Would definitely stay here again.

    Cassondra2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay and at an amazing price.

    Quinn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little place to stay. Super close to Meow Wolf and other attractions. A little off the beaten path, but Tisha provided great directions. Great value, would definitely stay there again!

Madrid is a magical little town 20 miles from Santa Fe and 40 miles from Albuquerque on the beautiful Turquoise Trail. The Shops, galleries and restaurants are famous with the thousands of tourists that visit and enjoy their stays in our town. Most people live off-grid to some degree and our Casita is in keeping with that cool vibe. You will truly have a delightful experience!
  • This is a gem in Madrid and convenient to Santa Fe. Plenty of privacy in a barn-like structure with a little private yard. Decor is creates a homey feminine atmosphere. Camp toilet is surprisingly comfortable. The hostess was very kind and welcoming.

    Erika2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cinda and Brie were excellent hosts! Cinda was quick with responses and Brie took care of everything while I was there. Brie was quick to accomodate, helpful, cheery and then gave me space just as quickly. This is a cute little glamping studio decorated in a magical way. I loved the heated bed.

    Crystal2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice place to stay if you are looking for something simple. Amazing host and really great area.

    Tatum2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical––from the city itself to the actual space, and the two incredibly kind and artistic ladies running it. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Cinda was extremely accommodating upon arrival and both Bri and Cinda were on top of our communication throughout. If you're thinking this is too good to be true, think again! The space is exactly as pictured and has all the necessary amenities (not pictured: the amazing view of the night sky right outside your doorstep and window). Santa Fe was a quick (and beautiful) 24 min. drive away...I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Madrid or Santa Fe. I will absolutely be back someday!

Set on a cul-de-sac, the home is located 5 minutes away from a sports center, 3 shopping malls, and theaters, and is a 15-minute drive to downtown Santa Fe. The friendly neighborhood includes a park and walking/bike trail. The house has 3 bedrooms, shared living areas including living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and yard. The private bedroom includes a walk-in closet, bed, towels, soap, and side tables. * cats on property *
Your host works out of the home so most of the day the house is mostly occupied by guests. There's plenty of space to do work and/or watch TV. We are happy to share recommendations about things to do and places to go; restaurants, activities, etc.
The wonderful clean neighborhood that includes a park and bike trail.
  • It's a gorgeous house - the bedroom and amenities were pristine and functional - on a quiet, residential street.

About 6 miles off I-25 this private, romantic, off-grid 400 square foot casita is 20 miles southwest of Santa Fe and about 45 miles north of Albuquerque. Secluded location offers 360 degree views of the Rio Grande valley, the Sandia, Jemez, Sangre de Cristo, and Ortiz mountain ranges. Trails for biking and hiking begin right out the front door! Kitchen includes cooktop, fridge and microwave. All wheel drive is recommended for Red Rock Road. Important to read more about the space below!
Important! GPS devices are often unreliable sometimes directing guests over a road off NM 14 that is impassible. Be sure to use Exit 264 off I-25 and go east on NM 16 for about five miles to Red Rock Road then turn right. Casita is another 1.59 miles. Due to its seclusion and half hour drive to Santa Fe this location may not be suitable for some visitors but for artists and writers our inspirational landscape is an adventure and the visit of a lifetime. Our casita is in a remote high desert portion of Santa Fe County so flying into Albuquerque at 10 PM, renting a car then driving out here finding our ranch at midnight or later can be very trying even for the most intrepid travelers. Getting here before dark is always best. Guests can expect rough roads, extremes in temperature, wildlife diversity, a few insects but also some breathtaking scenery, sunrises and sunsets. Because our entire rural community is solar powered the temporary loss of electricity is not impossible during your stay but the hosts are close by to restore it. A windmill pumps our water! If we get measurable precipitation there are two arroyos that can fill with flood water and temporarily restrict travel on Red Rock Road. Sorry, no air conditioning or swamp cooler but the overhead fan keeps everything cool during warm weather. The kiva fireplace and propane heater add comfy warmth when it's cool outside. Property abuts tribal land so please respect its sovereignty. We provide complimentary eggs from our chickens, limes for your cocktails, butter, tea, coffee and cream and for anyone staying six days or longer a bottle of wine will be waiting for you. Tent Rocks, Bandelier and Petroglyphs National Monuments are nearby, so are Santa Fe's galleries and Meow Wolf. We love our neighbors, our inclusive Baja Waldo community and we believe you will, too. Thanks for finding us! Donnamarie and Larry
  • The casita was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had! It was secluded and absolutely beautiful. My fiancée and I had an incredible time star gazing, sitting by the fire, and listening to the birds and coyotes. Huge thanks to donnamarie and Larry for this hospitality and for sharing this amazing space with us.

    Luis2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • You don’t want to miss staying at this beautiful handcrafted casita! Perched at the top of a hill, we loved the amazing views and gorgeous golden sunsets! Truly a relaxing experience with the most gracious hosts. The casita is spotless, and cozy. All the amenities are provided along with thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and flowers. The only regret is not staying longer!

    Alek Momčilo2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Donnamarie’s place for 3 nights in November. We had a wonderful time exploring the land around the casa during the day and staying cozy by the fire at night. It was pretty cold at night but the little off grid house stayed warm. Water, gas, and sold worked great. Loved how sweet and thoughtful the space was. Very comfy bed too! We would love to return :)

  • Donnamaire and Larry have created the perfect get away. We had everything we needed. The sun rises and sun sets were amazing. The house was super clean and very comfortable. We will return.

    Amy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Donnamarie and Larry's casita was a gem , located quite close to Santa Fe but also away from the lights and noise of the city. For those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place for you. We got delayed by a few hours due to snow in Colorado, on our way there, but Larry was waiting for us at the casita to help us get checked in. A dirt road leads to the casita and it was dark so it definitely helped to have him around and explain things to us. The place had its own different with personal touches to make it very interesting. If you want some peace and calm and be one with nature and cut off from the city, this is the place for you. One word of advice - the dirt road is a bit rough so make sure you have an all wheel drive or at least a car with a high clearance.

    Parag2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • You will just love this cozy artsy sweet casita The view all around it is just gorgeous blacks, whites, pinks, tans, yellows of the rocks and hills, mtns.... Kitchen equipped~ cream, great coffee, eggs, apples, butter Comfy big bed in corner, a lovely blue couch, outside seating to watch sunrises and sets! I felt so happy, joyful staying there and you will also!

    Lynda2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful space. It is so peaceful and beautiful. It is out in the countryside so be prepared for a wilderness ride, beautiful night skies and serenity. I couldn't have asked for a better oasis away from the chaos of city life.

New, comfortable bed, the suite is professionally cleaned before each guest! Enjoy a quiet country setting; away from busy streets, with mountain views, starry skies, and a quiet garden. Suite includes a private entrance, full bath, queen bedroom, kitchenette fully stocked with coffee maker, breakfast foods, microwave, dishes, bottled water, etc. 40" flat screen TV, and "fireplace" style heater. You have full access to laundry ($4), and the unit is locked off of the main house. 9 Minute drive from the I-25 and 599. I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, races, and LGBT! 1 Mile from Sunset Springs day spa, 4 miles to Cerillos road: Starbucks, restaurants, and 9.4 miles from Trader Joe's, and the Plaza.
A touch of Santa fe hospitality with local art work and pottery. A perennial garden with art works, and a "prayer tree" . I've taken great care to offer the comforts of home in a lovely, artistic setting. This is a single family house with a locked off, separate guest suite with entry code. Private garden and patio, shared front deck with gas BBQ. Flat, well-lit path with 4 steps to entrance. It is quiet and very clean. There are two homes on the 4 acre property, with a security gated entrance, and two very friendly dogs. It is rural yet only 4 miles from town, 1 Mile from Sunrise Springs Spa, with easy access to I-25 and the 599.
A very quiet, family neighborhood in a country setting. This is a very typical Santa Fe New Mexico rural neighborhood, with at least an acre between houses, rolling hills of juniper trees and native plants, mountain views, and dirt side roads. Because there are no street lights, you can easily see the stars (even the milky way) at night. Some nights you can hear coyotes, and many birds come to the garden, including hawks, mountain bluebirds, finches, and an occasional roadrunner. This property has a coded Security gate and lots of room for parking.
  • Such a comfy bed! Very spacious as well. Easy check in and felt safe! Will absolutely be back again!

  • Clean and nice place to stay though slightly out of town. The bed is comfy and padded with memory foam. Warm faux fireplace was cozy.

  • Elizabeth’s airbnb cottage made it possible for me to really arrive in Santa Fe for the first time in a great way, after a visit to the healing waters of Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. Thank you so much for creating such a lovely, nourishing, and creatively inspiring space. I could feel the reiki healing presence on the land and home. For me I received the spiritual benefit of the space as well as life insight just from quietly being in the room with the fireplace and my guitar. Thank you, Lindsey

    Lindsey2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nice stylish space tucked away from the highway and city. Beautiful sunrise views. Very easy check in! Stayed here before a ski trip to Taos and was super easy and convenient.

  • A perfect place, squeaky clean, very well equipped with lovely details. Well located for trips. A car is necessary.

  • Elizabeth's place was a cozy, welcoming, and warm space for us for a long weekend in Santa Fe! The bed is SO comfortable, the bathroom was clean & had toiletries, and the breakfast nook is well-stocked with cereal, granola, regular & non-dairy milk, and coffee/tea. We especially loved being welcomed home by the friendly dogs. (A note: Since it's about a 15-20 minute drive into the downtown area, Elizabeth's place is probably best if you're roaming around town with your own car.)

  • Simple, nice location. I like soft beds so I thought it was super comfortable. The house was nice and clean, and very quiet. I met Brenda's sons really briefly who help with the Airbnb and they were both nice and helpful. Good location and a beautiful spot overall.

    Sullivan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the Santa Fe area. The room is spacious and has a lovely balcony to hang out on and you have access to communal parts of the house like washing machine and kitchen. Be aware that is does take around 20 minutes to get into the heart of Santa Fe from here but the room was such a good deal that it was worth it to me.

    Brian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable accomodations! I didn't get a chance to interact with my hosts much as I was busy, but each time I did they were pleasant and kind. The local tips sheet in their house guide binder was very helpful in finding more things to do during my stay!

  • I enjoyed this deck Room. Sun rises were enjoyed with tea on the deck. The two brothers who help run this airbnb were respectful, helpful, and kind. They were careful to give me space and privacy needed yet willing to answer questions and visit if initiated. I stayed here for 5 weeks and also met the hostess and her husband. The whole family is really sweet. This was a perfect place for me to stay while I started my new job and hunted for an apartment. Thanks Isaiah, Micah and Brenda. 🙂🙏

  • What a fantastic stay I had at Jill’s place! She left us fresh eggs, cream and clementines and had the space heater running as it was a chilly night when we arrived. She had the wood burning stove all ready for us. Glad I brought my slippers on the trip as the floor was chilly. I recommend bringing warm socks or slippers. The home was eclectic and inviting. Jill was very responsive to my inquiries which I truly appreciated. Her place is a gem. Recommend you map out her address where you have good reception because there isn’t greet reception where her place is. Loved the hot tub too under the canopy of stars! Thank you Jill for such a great stay.

  • Jill's place was a great spot to stop on the way into Santa Fe. It was really cozy and had all we needed to settle in for the night. We took advantage of a warm hot tub in the snow before bed. The next morning brought a beautiful view and fresh elk/bobcat tracks in the snow outside our door.

  • Jill is an exceptional host and her guest carriage house is awesome! The wood stove kept us warm and we loved the artistic touch. The views of the mountains are a wonderful way to start the day.

  • The casita was an amazing and quiet destination with a unique and beautiful style.

    Silas2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Jill‘s place so much. Everything about it was truly wonderful. There were fresh eggs, coffee, tea, fruit, and milk. The decor was appreciated by us as artists. It’s a very small town with a lot of character, we didn’t want to stay in Santa Fe, wanted a place out of the way. The stars at night are incredible and I’m obsessed with the wood stove. The entire property is cool with areas for meditating and relaxing. We explored Madrid just a few miles away and broken saddle ranch was right down the street. Our stay was perfect thanks Jill!

Our home is a holy-haven for those who value meditation, mindfulness, eco-awareness, community living, and somewhat rustic conditions. Towards this goal, we ask that people who stay here are scent and chemical free; stay at least three nights; and are comfortable with our guidelines. There is access to a loft which has a futon mattress on the floor and space for mats; great for families, students, tribal folks. Extras: inspirational books, art supplies, omnidirectional hiking, and vast vistas.
The space we offer is a private bedroom with queen bed, desk, “coffee table”, chair, bedside table, shelf, an additional seat or surface for things; plus a loft which has a futon mattress on the wood floor, carpet, lots of space, and nice views. More chairs, mats and bedding are available for children or travel companions. The downstairs space has radiant floor heating, rough/cut wood ceilings, walls of beautiful mud-mica-straw plaster on “green” pumice blocks. The result is warm and earthy. Beyond the room (and loft), around the hallway, is the original bathroom with toilet and sink. That is only for airbnb guests, not for residents. Beyond the kitchen and great room is a newer bathroom, spacious and well lit. The shower there is both for airbnb guests as well as for one resident. There are grab bars near the toilet, shower area, and tiled sink. Parking is adjacent to the house. There are no streetlights, so star and moon clarity is ours to celebrate. The great room is available for spiritual practice, and the kitchen available from 7 AM to 7 PM. Pets are welcome (each one counts as a guest). We do offer Wi-Fi, though we unplug the modem when it is not being used (Airbnb guests are welcome to plug it in as needed). We also have a booster if the signal is not strong enough in airbnb space. We are a TV free zone, value hearing the close-by sounds of nature, and request any online live streaming be audible only within the airbnb private space. Thanks!
We live near the river/riverbed, off of on a quiet road, so walks are available night or day. We often hear coyote at night. There is a lovely park adjacent with play equipment for little people. At certain parts of the year, on certain days, there is a little preschool next-door, from which sounds of playing children can be heard. One neighbor have a dog who announces new arrivers. Her name is Lila snd she is easily befriended. When resident has a cat who is very agile and friendly. She loves to go up into the loft, but we prefer she not go up there.
  • Quiet. Tranquil. Nature. Serene. Off the beaten path, “Old Santa Fe” style and hospitality from an aware, gentle and kind host.

    Kat2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh's home is truly a meaningful experience. It's clean, comfortable and convenient for anyone passing through. The grounds have beautiful views and trails and goats. If you're looking for a mindful retreat, this is the perfect spot. Rahmaneh is kind and wise. I cannot think of a better host.

    Katherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh space is a very special place with a very special woman. My boyfriend and I loved making hot tea that was provided in the morning and enjoying the sun come up on the loft upstairs. We truly enjoyed staying with Rahmaneh and talking to her.

    Stephanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eclectic vibe and warm yet down to earth. We were given a warm welcome and even a yoga class to relieve my back pain. Rahmaneh herself was thoughtful and kind, she gave us our space as if we were part of the family. My daughter enjoyed sleeping at the loft.

    Beverly2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks!

    Alex2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rahmaneh was very calm, kind, and open. She was also a great communicator. The place was exactly as described and my stay definitely added to my Santa Fe experience. I also enjoyed the quiet solitude of being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and being out in the beauty of nature. I definitely left feeling more grounded and centered.

    Michael2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic time staying at Rahmenah's! I was cozy and comfortable in the space, despite frigid temps in Santa Fe (11 degrees!), and it was so quiet and calm on the property. Felt good to see stars at night. Made a lot of use of the electric kettle, there was a mini fridge in the room but i left this unplugged and just used the main fridge in the kitchen for a few provisions. Piping hot showers were heated by solar power, so I opted to shower in evenings to make sure I got the best temperature water. Rahmenah keeps an early schedule and asks guests to be mindful of noise in the evenings, and to practice recycling/compost with waste materials -- easy to do as all bins are labeled, and the AirBnB space has a private parking space and entry. Next time I'm in Santa Fe, I hope to stay here -- highly recommend!

    Elizabeth2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice off the beaten path, eclectic, mystical and harmonious place. My gentle host was very kind and warm. I highly recommend to others who hear their inner call to vist Rahmaneh!

Welcome to Studio Cielito - a desert-inspired cottage designed with meticulously curated vintage and high-end touches, professional-grade cookware, luxury linens, and everything you need to relax and rejuvenate near the magic of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Located on Rancho los Soñadores, you’re just 8 minutes from Meow Wolf and 14 minutes from The Plaza, where you can enjoy the rolling New Mexico countryside while being close to downtown.
Studio Cielito is one of two cottages on Rancho los Soñadores . This one-story rental gives you amazing views of three acres of this rolling juniper-filled property. This former pottery studio has been transformed into a massive studio, with a built-in seating area, kitchen, and sleeping nook in one large, light-filled structure. With high ceilings complete with traditional wood vigas beams and a circular skylight to stream in the moonlight. But our favorite thing about the rental is the vintage clawfoot tub in the new attached bathroom that sits under a massive skylight for midnight soaks under the Milky Way. Stocked with sharp professional-grade kitchen knives (that actually work), All-Clad pots and pans, a four-burner electric stovetop and countertop toaster oven, this unit has everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, and simple dinners when you’re not enjoying the gastronomic food scene in Santa Fe. The bedroom nook includes a Helix queen mattress, luxury linens, two types of pillows for all sorts of sleepers and Euro shams for reading in bed. And if you need an extra bed, let us know and we’ll provide linens for the twin Casper mattress built into the living room nook. Please note that there are additional costs associated with this rental: - This is a pet-friendly unit, and to keep it sparkling clean, we charge an additional $50 cleaning fee per pet for your stay, maximum 2 pets, not exceeding 100 lbs total. - If you want to use the built-in twin mattress for a booking of two guests, there's a $15 one-time fee to provide extra linens and to make the bed up for your stay. We pay a living wage to the people who help keep this place clean and looking good. Thank you for helping us to do that.
Welcome to the traditional village of Agua Fria! People have been living on in this gorgeous part of Santa Fe since 3,000 B.C., harnessing the magic of this very special place. Home to the Jicarilla Apache and the Pueblos, in 1995 it was officially designated a Traditional Historic Community. If you’re here in May, you can even join us for the ceremonial Blessing of the River. Nestled just west of downtown Santa Fe, located directly north of Meow Wolf, we’re close to everything but far enough not to hear it all. We’ve put together a curated list of our favorite places to eat and be, but Santa Fe is a place that begs you to explore without a plan. Chat up someone at the Farmer’s Market and suddenly you’ve got a whole list of things to check out.
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Erin & Alessandro’s. They provide all of the amenities that you’d desire and more. I was amazed at how much detail they put into everything, not only decoration and comfort but even having hair ties in the bathroom. The studio was so cozy and made me want to extend my trip. Thanks for a great stay!

    Claudia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This space is one of my favorites I've found through AirBnb. Every inch is well utilized and designed, with comfortable and locally relevant touches everywhere you look. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, the bathroom has an amazing tub, the bed was luxuriously outfitted, and the sitting area has great desert views with fun books and activities. I'm currently looking for another reason to visit Santa Fe just to stay here again!

    Jack2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space! Would definitely stay again

    Beth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My gf and I stayed here while visiting meow wolf and it was the most perfect, quaint little place just for the both of us! Would definitely say it was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in! I really enjoyed the tub, the bed was suuuuper comfortable as well! We had an amazing stay!!

    Gabby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cute little cottage is one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had! The place is stocked with top of the line kitchen ware, chilled water, locally roasted coffee beans to make fresh coffee in the morning, a huge claw foot tub (with a skylight! And bath salts!) soft towels, and a great bed. My husband is normally a shower guy but he actually enjoyed the bath set up since it was so posh. The location was great too - close enough to restaurants and Meow Wolf. Please, whatever you do, read the amazing guide book Erin has spend time writing - if you heed to her recommendations you won’t be sorry!

    Erin Kathleen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! This far exceeded the usual airbnb experience. It felt like an exclusive private retreat. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in, the views were spectacular, (especially from the bathtub under a giant skylight) and everything felt carefully considered. Cant wait to return!

  • Great location with lots of amenities. Francesca and her husband were wonderful hosts and quick to respond to questions.

    Bethany2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Francesca was a wonderful host! The house has everything you could possibly need for even an extended stay. I stayed for two months and the only thing I had to buy was groceries and laundry detergent! It may not be close to downtown activities, but it's worth it for the lovely, quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and decorated nicely, and Francesca made sure we had everything we needed. She made checking in and out a breeze!

    Madison2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place for anybody working in Santa Fe on contract. Comfortable, clean, and Francesca is a wonderful host!

  • Francesca's place was an excellent homebase while our guides were working in Santa Fe. Communication with her was seamless and easy. She's super accommodating!

    Tony2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We rented this house for 3 months while we were in between homes. The house is well-equipped for all kitchen needs. The master bed is very comfortable. (we did not use the other bed) There is plenty of space for multiple people or a family. There is a fenced yard and a 2 stall garage. The owner was flexible and accommodating. Although we already lived in Santa Fe, the owner provides a "manual" containing various tips and tourist options in Santa Fe, as well as describes all the amenities in the home. A great place to stay if you are using your own car.(or a rental car)

  • Francesca was a wonderful host and the house was exactly as listed. She was very welcoming and was always available if we needed anything. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Santa Fe.

  • My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deb’s cozy casita! The location is perfect and secluded in a beautiful and tranquil area. We had everything we needed and more! The casita was gorgeous, sparkling clean and very comfortable. I would’ve stayed longer if I could’ve. Deb was also kind enough to recommend us some nearby restaurants which were absolutely delicious. Deb made us feel nothing less than at home and we won’t think twice to stay at Deb’s when we go back to Santa Fe!

    Dustin2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Oh my gosh. This space that Deb has created is beautiful. It’s new and everything was clean. Thoughtful touches such as flowers to greet us when we walked in. She is great with communication and always had a quick response. For sure will be coming back and spending more then just a night. She’s not kidding when she says you can see the entire night sky. Would recommend her place again and again to any friend and or family! Make time and stay here if you can! It’s worth it!

    Mackaylie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I booked Deb’s place last minute for a place to rest our head on our way across the country for a big move. We were truly enchanted by the space and wished we weren’t just passing through. It was easy to get to yet tucked away and private and peaceful location, with beautiful views day and night, very thoughtful design and warm touches throughout down to a fresh bottle of half and half for coffee in the am. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for a wonderful and luxurious stay.

  • Very modern and recently updated. Close to Smiths grocery store and the downtown area. TV in the bedroom does not connect to cable, a DVD player or a Roku, but the living room TV has cable. Kitchen has modern appliances. Large shower with massaging cobblestone floor was very nice. Private parking behind building is convenient. Very clean. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch. Perfect for a single person visiting or on travel for a few days or weeks.

    Colby2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! For work at LANL, there is not a better location. The remodeled kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. The kitchen had everything you might need and then some. Coded locks on the main entrance and bedroom doors was a nice touch. Comfortable beds with clean linens and towels, new full size washer/dryer, large flat screen TV with sound system and comfortable couch in living room, smaller flat screen TV in bedrooms, large deck with gas grill and great views to enjoy the evenings, wireless internet, walking distance to the pond park, and on and on! Curtis and Jennifer are also great hosts. They do not live on the property, but were very attentive and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely try to stay at their place the next time I am in Los Alamos.

  • Kathy is literally one of the nicest hosts I’ve had!! We came the day before thanksgiving and got stuck in the RV because of a snow storm and they we so kind bringing us warm food and they saved us from the snow storm because our car couldn’t make it up their drive way!! Made our stay 1000 times better! If you’re ever in the area I would highly suggest staying here :)

    Abigail2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time celebrating my sisters birthday in Kathleen’s lovely camper. As newcomers to the area - my sister and I were wanting to experience a wide range of things in New Mexico. Kathleen’s location was PERFECT! We got the best of Santa Fe and Albuquerque but also got to adventure to hidden gems like the town of Madrid. Situated perfectly between all best of New Mexico - this trip was so much more than we anticipated. The beautiful desert landscape with all the amenities of the big cities surrounding it. Kathleen was a phenomenal host! We already Called the rest of our family and are trying to find a time to go back. Highly recommend this location for an authentic New Mexico experience!

  • Awesome little camper !! Clean and host was so awesome, sending messages and replies!

    Olivia2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time at Kathleen’s place! The camper is so cozy and cute, and the property is just beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching sunset one evening very much. We also love that the camper is “off grid”!

    Alexandra2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you love views/ being outside/ pretty drives/ and don’t mind not being right in the middle of things in Santa Fe, then this is your place! The drive into Santa Fe is not long at all, and it even feels much shorter with so much to look at and take in. If you love camping like my fiancé and I then the camper is just enough outdoorsy but still has all the cool creature functions of a normal home, plus is very well decorated and stylish. Very close to a cool little town right around the corner that we were able to go get some coffee and some pastries. We truely enjoyed our stay! Hosts are very friendly and offer great advise on things to do and places to see!

    Cody2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen’s place was the best, most unique way to explore New Mexico. The location has views beyond compare, full starry skies, and Kathleen is the kindest host. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The RV is cute, stylish, and comfortable. We hope to return in the future!

    Lilly2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pepita de oro was a perfect little home away from home. Kathleen and Mike were gracious and easy hosts and the views here are beautiful and rugged. We loved the steam punk art town of Madrid just up the road and the gorgeous surrounding Cerrillos Hills. This is truly a treasure!

Our place in the Jemez Mountains is nestled in a quaint valley and backed by national forest. Enjoy the great views and outdoor activities year round from our easily accessible property. You’ll love the relaxing environment with your own private casita, patio, fire pit, grill, and covered parking space. The casita is adorned with wood planks milled here in Ponderosa at the old lumber mill in the early 1960's. The casita has been updated over the years, but it still retains it's charm.
If you are looking for a quiet retreat, then this is the place for you. It's a great place to unwind and unplug. Come and reset from your busy life!! Located adjacent to the main home, the casita has a queen platform bed, an electric fireplace, a 3/4 bath with shower, a kitchenette with an electric range & oven, mini-refrigerator w/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, tea kettle, Keurig, blender, toaster, dishes, silverware, grilling tools, and all basic necessities (spices, oil, cooking & baking essentials, toiletries). Fresh herbs (rosemary, dill, cilantro, lavender, mint) and in-season fruits and veggies can be found around the casita for your culinary uses. Your stay includes breakfast items and any allergies/special diets will be accommodated. A selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and spiced apple cider is provided. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite K-cups!! Please bring ground coffee if you'd prefer this method. Daily maid service is not provided. Additional towels, etc. will be provided if needed. For stays longer than a week, weekly maid service and linen replacements will be provided. If you need a load of laundry washed, dried, and folded, then you can prearrange it for $5.00 per load. Stay for a week or a month for a great discount!! We do not allow animals in the casita due to allergies. Service animals must be crated at all times while in the casita. They must be on a leash at all times while outdoors on the property for your pet’s safety and ours. Our property is centrally located to conveniently tour not only the Jemez Mountains, but also many surrounding cities and popular icons. We do have a friendly cat, Bogart, who loves to visit our guests. He is an outdoor cat and is not allowed in the casita. If you are allergic or don’t like cats, then please let us know so we can try to keep him from being near the casita. • Meleny’s casita was warm welcoming and in a perfect location for those looking for something a little further out of city limits, but an easy effortless drive to Albuquerque. Guest house was very clean, bed was comfortable and well appointed with everything one could need for a comfortable stay.

  • Very cozy and comfortable place.

  • Meleny's casita is such a sweet, comfortable space. The friendly outdoor feline hosts and nearby apple trees made it an even nicer one. We were in the area to hike and visit a few natural highlights, and the casita was an excellent access point to the region. We would certainly come back and stay again next time we're in the area!

  • It was such a pleasure to stay at Meleny’s! We had a short yet very enjoyable stay at the Casita for the Balloon Fiesta Festival. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by her two playful cats! The home was just as described beautiful , private and clean. So many thoughtful touches to make guests comfortable and relax. It is located in a nice quiet area, we were able to enjoy the scenery on our way to Albuquerque which was was shorter than we expected . Check in was very easy and Meleny was incredibly nice and very responsive at all times which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall my stay was more than pleasant and would definitely recommend the place to others!- Great price , great location, spacious and a friendly, attentive host. Can’t wait to come back to this little gem!

  • Meleny and her Casita hit all the right notes for Barb & I. Initially, it did seem like Ponderosa would be a bit of a drive from ABQ, but as we seemed to hit the back and forth during sunrise and sunset, we were mesmerized by the scenery and colors. The drive was a welcome and relaxing part of our long day as vendors at the Balloon Fiesta art show. The Casita itself was the perfect getaway. Super clean and tastefully decorated, the space had everything we needed. The fresh eggs in the mini fridge were a nice and delicious touch. Only had a brief chance to get to know Meleny, but she was a perfect host, making sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to revisit this area, stay with Meleny and her family and take advantage of some of the many local activities and destinations.

  • Nestled in a green valley of great beauty, this cozy casita is surrounded by crystalline silence. It is spotless and charming. The bed is wonderful even for someone like me with back issues. Meleny anticipates her guests’ every need: there were tweezers and a small first aid kit in the spotless bathroom. (Not to mention a shower cap and all amenities ) The kitchen is meticulously equipped. We cooked several meals and took our morning coffee in the green area under two arching Apple trees loaded with fruit. Apples perfumed the air. The view was so lovely I painted it. Meleny has a bulletin board and binder offering all the information one could possibly need about the area. Maps- flyers- you name it : she has it covered. She even provides fresh free range eggs from her chickens. We enjoyed every minute of our ten night stay and hope to return for a month next year. Outstanding location!

Our private-entry casita is nestled in the pines, boasts a canyon view, and is only a 5 minute drive to LANL, the Fuller Art Lodge, and the historic district. You’ll love the luxurious bed, spa-like bath, and fully equipped kitchenette (stocked with treats!). Clerestory windows keep the space light and bright. Set back on the lot with a private patio and driveway. Easy access to Bandelier, Pajarito Ski Mountain, and downtown via shuttle or car. Let our casita be your home away from home!
The casita is well appointed, clean, and comfortable, with an over-sized full bath and a separate bedroom with a queen size pillow top bed and 3 inch memory foam. Our spare sleeping options are comfortable too, see notes below. We stock the kitchenette with all the dishes and cookware you'll need for up to 4 guests, including a toaster, blender, tea kettle, Keurig, and percolator. Our kitchen is equipped with a microwave, range and small oven. We provide coffee, tea, and standard continental breakfast offerings such as bagels or muffins, eggs, assorted hot and cold cereals, milk and juice. We also add fresh baked goodies on the weekend for you to enjoy! Our smart TV includes free Netflix and other viewing options (no cable). The laundry includes complimentary cleaning products for your convenience. We will collect and launder provided linens and towels if you need them refreshed during your stay. Note: when all 3 beds are set up the living space can be cramped, so we recommend stowing luggage below the cot when it's out.
The National Lab is only 1.5 miles west (I.D. must be presented at the checkpoint). Bandelier National Monument is a 25 minute drive (mandatory free shuttle from White Rock, May-October 18). Our very own Pajarito ski mountain is only 6 miles away, and is beautiful in every season. Our town's original scientists founded the ski club that runs the mountain to this day. Runs for all levels, and very affordable. The Jemez Springs area makes for a lovely day trip, and includes Valles Caldera, a volcanic national preserve that features elk herds. The area includes many amazing and free cultural and historical activities, and the free Bradbury Science museum and PEEC Nature Center are not to be missed. Easy driving access to Santa Fe (45 minutes on average).
  • Angel's place was perfect for our family of four. It is located in a beautifully wooded area, but still in the middle of town close to everything. Angel provides many breakfast items for you to prepare during your stay. It is very clean, well lit, and has everything you need for a vacation stay. Angel is an excellent host and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable.

  • A very well-appointed casita! It has everything you will ever possibly need for a visit. Angel is an awesome hostess, and has some toiletry items in case you forget them. The casita is also gorgeous, spacious, and sometimes you can see some local fauna bounding over the hills in the back woods. Highly recommended!

  • Definitely worth it. We enjoyed our stay. We are taking a scenic route from Fort Worth, Texas to Colorado Springs, Colorado. We arrived very late so I didn’t get to fully take in the environment. I woke up with sun shining through the window and amazing view. There was a local hiking park (4 mins away) that my kids and I went to right after I made breakfast with the food provided in their kitchen. We came back showered up and got going. Definitely will come back if we are in the area again.

  • Angel is an amazing host. Thoughtful and kind, she made our stay very special. The space is clean and very comfortable. The casita is set in a quiet and peaceful spot with canyon and wildlife in the backyard. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • What an outstanding place to stay an such an amazing host! Thanks Angel for being flexible and accommodating!!

    Paul2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Angel was amazing. The casita is even better than pictured and very well equipped. On Thanksgiving morning Angel made us homemade cinnamon rolls and also made sure that we had warm cookies on the day we left. The location is great, views are beautiful, and anything and everything we could ever need was provided (even robes in the bathroom)!Needless to say, we will be back at our first opportunity.
