The wagon in the woods is cosy, bespoke and self-contained. Ideal for those who want an escape to the countryside. Features include a hot tub, double bed, settee, table, bath, toilet, basin, heating, cooker, fridge, beautiful views , covered outdoor seating area and camp fire with BBQ grill. Check in and out times are minimum if we can we will let you arrive earlier/ leave later.
The huge window floods the space with light. The bath is revealed by lifting a trap door in the floor at the base of the window, you can relax in a bath and watch the cows pass by. You have the seclusion of being in the woods but have an internal flushing toilet, hot water etc. The hot tub is situated next to the wagon fitted into a huge barrel. The hot tub heats up very quickly and runs all year. The main beam, and tables have been built from trees that came down in a storm a few years ago. We provide free bubblebath, wagon wheels, marshmallows and fire wood for a camp fire.
From the decking you can see the Hattingley Valley vineyard through the trees. The watercress train line runs along the valley.
  • Couldn’t recommend the wagon more. Beautiful location, cosy and amazing hot tub.

  • A unique and beautiful place to relax and unwind! Lots of lovely little touches and despite the cold weather the Wagon was warm and cosy and the undercover area was a great space to cook and eat dinner.

  • Had such a lovely relaxing few days in the wagoon. The hot tub was amazing and always warm despite the rain and snow. Would definitely return. Thank you!

Wig wam with hot tub and a cosy wagon. lovingly crafted to create a truly unique and relaxing space. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from the Wagon with star lounge, from the hot tub or when relaxing next to the fire.
Some people paint, some sing but this is my creative canvas! With no time scale or budget the aim was to build something awesome! With an upstairs star lounge you can relax and watch the world go by whilst the vinyl spins. The sunken hot tub with jets and underwater lights is heated by a log burner, watch the flames flicker as you relax. Keep the TP closed up and cosy or throw the door wide to let the outside in. The TP toilet with wine corks on the walls (not all ours-Honest!) and saloon doors. Enjoy a camp fire and BBQ whilst soaking up the view over the fields. Dine at the table made out of a tree infront of the huge window. A double shower so you don't ever have to be apart!
  • The wagon is so incredibly impressive, all the little touches make it all the more memorable. And it’s true what they all say, it’s even more amazing in real life, even better than the photos! An absolutely amazing weekend away. A few tips are: it’s very remote so definately a good idea to have a car, bring food and drink supplies and there’s no hairdryer.

    Cynthia2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A little slice of heaven in the idyllic English countryside - we stayed there a week and cannot wait to return! Unique, charming, a true one off find. Feel very lucky to have found this place :)

  • It’s exceeded expectations, the place was absolutely incredible and the quirky details totally made it. Its the perfect romantic getaway!

  • We had an amazing stay at Ralph’s place. The wagon and wigwam are incredible and perfect for the ultimate relaxing break! The wagon was lovely and cosy despite it blowing a gale outside & the small touches around the place including the wagon wheels and marshmallows made the stay even better. Thanks!

    Hannah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place look incredible on the internet but it is sooo much better in real life, so secluded and divine.

    Lucy2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! I took my hubby there for his birthday, we both enjoyed the experience! Peaceful, tranquil and just what we needed! Love all the little touches, and will diffidently be returning!

    Rachael2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the wagon and the wigwam was unforgettable. Even more impressive in real life, it was absolute bliss. Ralph and lucy have gone above and beyond to create a cosy and unique place with so much attention to detail, we enjoyed marshmallows on the fire, hot chocolate for breakfast and cooked pizzas in the oven. We spent the evening in the hot tub which had a beautiful log burner and felt more like a spa experience. Would definitely return and hopefully explore more of the properties ralph has to offer.

The self contained ground floor annex attached to our house with it's own private entrance is light, modern and homely. There is a private hot tub on the patio area which is perfect for BBQ's. Parking is available close to the property, with unloading possible from our driveway. The open plan lounge, kitchen diner features a corner sofa which converts into a double sofa bed allowing the annex to comfortably sleep four. Perfect for couples, business people and families.
The guests have a large open plan lounge-kitchen-diner area which features a sofa that converts to a large double bed. The modern bathroom features a bath, toilet, sink and shower. The kitchen area is well equipped with an oven, hobs, sink, fridge, kettle, toaster and plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. The bedroom features a chest of drawers, wardrobe and a double bed. We have a fully equipped gym on site which could be available to guests under supervision (but at the users risk) for an additional charge. We love living here because we’re away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, yet still located within easy travelling distance to the centre. It’s a quiet neighbourhood with a shop, takeaway, and pub within walking distance. If you go a little further afield you will find Hamble village, which is a fantastic historic place to visit and has brilliant pubs and restaurants.
  • You have to be Very Quite even on a Saturday night so we stayed at a hotel the second night to avoid anymore agro but apart from that it was a lovely stay and cool hot tub, thank you

  • This is such a lovely peaceful place. Have decided to adopt it as my home away from home when I am working in Winchester. Really gorgeous garden apartment with homely welcoming touches

    Sarah2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend getaway at Victoria’s. The studio was warm & cosy & the perfect size for us. We decided to cook dinner in after a drink at the Plough & we had everything that we needed. The next morning we woke up to the sounds of the birds & had our breakfast provided by Victoria which included some fresh eggs that were laid by the hens that we saw wandering around the garden! We didn’t get to meet Victoria but it was so easy to check-in/out & to communicate with her. All in all it was a 10/10 stay.

    Lynn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Victoria was a great host. I arrived very late on a last minute booking due to work to find the place perfectly heated with everything I could of wanted. Had a very relaxed stay.

  • Superb little apartment that was just the job. Easy to find, good communication with the host, everything that we needed and a bargain price. A very detailed email was received when we booked explaining everythingto us which was very helpful. Lukes place is a little gem if you dont want the hassle of traffic from the M27. I would highly recommend this place.

    Sam2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very comfortable stay for my family of five. The apartment was warm and cosy, it was such a treat for us after a long drive from the midlands. Thank you Luke for being such an attentive host!

Still open during Covid-19 for a person/people who: is unable to return to their main residence; needs accommodation while moving house; needs accommodation to attend a funeral; for any purpose requested by the Secretary of State, or a local authority (housing key workers working away from home etc)
Fantastic rural retreat! Gorgeous heated studio with its own private garden. Very cosy & quiet space. Two great pubs just a fifteen minute country walk away in Hursley. Only five miles into either Winchester (London by train 55 minutes) or Romsey. IBM Hursley is 1 mile away, Paultons Park & Peppa Pig world only ten minutes or so away. Great exploring base! 1 double bedroomed, cosy, heated studio (extra single bed - John Lewis sofa/chair bed - in the same room, available on request) which is furnished with character furniture - double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Modern shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, fridge, microwave. And a TV if you just fancy chilling! A really lovely place to stay - you’ll have your own garden set within the main house 1/3 acre garden - we have two chickens (Roo & Bea) a cat and a very chilled dog. No pets please as they might harm our friendly free ranging hens. It’s a very cosy space. Perfect getaway! Wifi to keep you connected, although we're rural, so don't expect anything super-fast!
Peaceful location with easy access to nearby towns and the M3 motorway (only four miles from junctions 11 or 12). London is easily accessible by train from Winchester in 55 minutes. The New Forest is a 30 minute drive away and you'll find beautiful beaches in around 40 minutes by car. Hursley is a very pretty village with two pubs that are walkable in around fifteen minutes (take a torch after dark - or we'll happily drop you down there if we're in!) and a village post office/small shop/newsagent. Winchester is only five miles away and is a really pretty, historic town, with many shops, cafes and restaurants to explore. We've lived in the area for sixteen years, so can give you a few ideas of where to start. In the other direction, Romsey, a small market town, is only five miles away. Again, great for a roam around and a coffee!
  • Always a great place to stay. Thanks :)

    Matt2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The whole trip went so smoothly from initial contact to the check-in and checkout. My 2 little people loved it and it made for a great little adventure to the secret holiday house.

    Chris2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully private , cute summer house with a comfortable bed, OK shower - and plenty of storage for clothes! Effective electric heating. Don't expect to cook anything other than heating up something in the microwave. Great holiday from washing up as there's a dishwasher instead of a sink (tho' there is a basin in the bathroom - obviously!) Please appreciate that you're in a country not urban setting so don't expect to 'stream' much video/TV or radio.

This fully refurbished and newly decorated 1 bed apartment in Cosham with private parking is located 2 minutes from the M27 motorway and within 1 minutes walk of the main line railway station. Shops, restaurants, pubs and the Queen Alexandra hospital are within easy walking distance. The property has easy access by road and rail to all the Portsmouth attractions including Port Solent, the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior the Historic Dockyard , Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower.
The apartment is set on the 4th floor of a purpose built apartment building with both front and rear access. The rear access is from the private residents parking area where we have a marked parking space. The apartment was upgraded again in June 2018 with newly tiled floor to the bathroom, new induction hob and new oven.
Cosham is a small suburb geographically located to the North of Portsmouth. The property is located at the quieter southern end of Cosham High Street, near the railway station. Like most High Street's there are a number of charity shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants. Shops, pubs and restarants in, and just off the High Street, include Tesco Metro, Wetherspoons, WH Smith, Boots, Iceland, McDonalds, Domino's Pizza, Lloyds Chemist and various, Chinese, Indian, Kebab, sandwich shops and cafes. For more refined tastes a short 10 minute drive gets you to one of Portsmouth's attractions - Port Solent. If you fancy a 15 minute uphill walk - there is a viewing point at the top of Portsdown Hill where you will find the best most scenic view of the whole Portsmouth area to the Isle of Wight and beyond. You will also find probably the most popular burger bar on the South coast - Micks Monster Burgers or for the more refined tastes there is a pub/restaurant called The Churchillian.

  • What a delightful find. This little annexe was just perfect for our weekend away. On a cold blustery day of arrival, the pre lit log burner by Debbie was such a welcome sight. Some nice touches left for us in the fridge too. Very comfortable bed and living space for relaxing during our cosy evenings with a bottle of wine. Debbie is a wonderful friendly host with good communication. We’ll definitely be back.

    Barry2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

    Mandy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s place is beautifully set out and warm and clean, with useful items such as a microwave and mini fridge, but it’s little touches like the lemon muffins and berry compôte, and the the relaxing, comfortable decor, that made this such a lovely place to be.

    Helen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice cosy space, very welcoming. Comfortable, warm and lots of nice little touches - excellent tea/coffee facilities, nice range of breakfast cereals and fresh milk and fruit in fridge. Highly recommend!!

    Ellen2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stay at Debbie’s place. Beautiful location, when we arrived we saw 2 deer running in the field opposite. Great little touches like the chocolate chip shortbread biscuits that Debbie had left on the side for us, tea and coffee supplies and cereals for breakfast. We ordered a takeaway from the local Indian restaurant which we really enjoyed 😊 the walk into Alresford took about 40 minutes and was lovely and the town itself is very cute with lovely little shops and places to eat and drink. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends.

Guests are more than welcome to use the lounge area as well as the kitchen. In the summer we’re more than happy for them to make themselves at home in the garden as well. We really like people to feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. If there is anything that they would like to do or ask, we would welcome requests or enquires and would accommodate it to the best of our ability. We also have a beautiful dog.
Laundry Cottage was built in the early 1600’s and the newer part of the house attached to the cottage used to be outside Laundries that did the surrounding Manor House and cottages, laundry. This part was attached to the cottage in the 1800’s. Winchester is the first Capital of England and a wonderfully historic city boasting a beautiful Cathedral and historical ruins and buildings. We have the most fabulous coffee shops and restaurants in Winchester. There are wonderful scenic walks in and around Winchester as well. There is also a charming small cinema in town. We are a five minute walk from a wonderful Farm Stall that serves great food and coffees, called the Good Life as well a great pub five minutes walk from us called the Cart and Horses. Our guests get a 10% discount when they eat there.
  • I honestly don't know where to start. "A home away from home" would be an understatement. Even before I arrived at the beautiful house (which alone is worth a stay), the communication with Marlene was fantastic and I felt welcome before I even got there. Marlene, Kevin and their entire family are most wonderful and kind and just incredible hosts that will make you feel part of the family but also give you your space if you so desire. The house is utterly gorgeous, cozy and there is so much attention to detail and lots of nice touches. I will visit Winchester again for sure, but mainly for this very deserved Superhost! Some info on getting to Winchester town center: you can walk (about 30 minutes), drive (5-8 minutes) or take the bus (11 minutes). The bus stop is right in front of the house!

    Annika2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, lovely dog and two amazing hosts. Kevin and Marlene make you feel very welcome in their cosy home.

    Linnea2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Marlene made me very welcome and the room was extremely comfortable. They are respectful of your own space but will happily engage with you if you want to enjoy their company. I enjoyed my stay.

  • I had a great stay with at Kevin and Marlene's, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable and looked after - such a warm and friendly family. On top of this, great communication, a lovely clean and characterful house, well located. Hope to stay again in the future, thanks again.

  • I loved my stay here, Marlene and Kevin are kind and generous hosts. The house is beautiful and a pleasant 30 minute walk to town or a short bus ride or drive. Recommended!

  • Beautifully appointed renovated Dairy set in a quiet location only a mile from the main Winchester to Petersfield Road. A wealth of features together with spacious open plan living, easy parking, pleasant courtyard garden complete with views and a bbq make for a wonderful stay here. Fluffy white bath towels, crisp bedding, extra touches included serviettes, candles, fragrant room fresheners. Hinton Arms just a Mile away offers a vast menu of excellent food and drink. Many places to see locally including Hinton Ampner House, The Watercress Line Steam Railway, pretty villages, the ancient capitol of England ‘Winchester’ where the magnificent Cathedral is a ‘must see’, the South Coast an easy and pleasant drive. A more perfect location would be hard to find. I hope to return again very soon.

    Lorna2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem of a cottage in a lovely location, spotlessly clean with lots of little extra touches which were much appreciated. The welcome pack offered a good selection of locally sourced foods & the dogs enjoyed their welcome pack too! Great idea. Communication with the owner was good & we had prompt replies to any queries. We look forward to returning when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the patio area The information brochure for the local area was very useful & we had some good walks & pub lunches. We would not hesitate in recommending the cottage

    Phil2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Dairy is a wonderfully equipped, contemporary and stylish holiday cottage. Quiet, rural, plenty of wonderful walks and the peace and quiet is something to dream of. It has the contemporary feeling mixed with a few more traditional touches too. More than adequate parking, a great view out of all the windows, the sounds of the countryside, in the day the birds singing, at night the sound of the owls, heavenly.

    Patricia2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Was absolutely lovely, the attention to detail was amazing, such thoughtful touches. Location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful. Very clean and everything you needed was there. Lovely walks from the door! Perfect thank you.

  • We stayed at the Diary and the Stables over Christmas. The Diary is perfect for a family of 4! Lovely master bedroom and bathroom and great room for kids with views over the fields next door. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need for a family get away. The TV and couches were wonderful! The little back patio was perfect for sheep watching! A truly perfect place to enjoy the English country side. Highly recommend this for families traveling in this area of England! Lots of lovely walks!

Garden Cottage, a detached converted barn, is an ideal retreat for 2 plus 2 people. Situated next to the 18th century farmhouse at Abbotstone, it offers the opportunity to enjoy the quirkiness of a rural setting with the modern comforts, style and charm of a property completely renovated for modern living. The guests can enjoy the shared but secured garden at all times.
  • Nice remote location - plenty of privacy. Bathroom was classy with underfloor heating - toasty warm (became my go to place after being out in the icy cold wind!). High ceilings, mezzanine bedroom, great combination of decor and furnishings and a very comfortable sofa bed. And kitchen was perfect size with everything one might need. Great place. P.s. you'll need to be 100% able bodied to handle the ladder-stairs to the mezz-bed. But sofa bed was perfectly adequate for a couple of nights.

  • .... Warm, welcoming, clean, characterful and beautiful; deep white towels, starched bed linen, under heated oak and stone floors, heavy linen curtains, wall hangings, antiques, chocolate brownies and other thoughtful touches, what more do you need for a luxurious, rural retreat! We used the cottage as a base for events in London and Winchester, both destinations were so easy to get to from the property. The setting is stunning and we’d love to visit again .... when it eventually stops raining! Many thanks 😊

  • A beautiful home and very warm and hospitable hosts. I had the ensuite room which faces west with a view over the fields. The other slightly larger room faces east over the garden and has a bathroom, with bath, next to it. Emma and Al left out a huge array of tasty breakfast food, and made me tea whenever I wanted it. There are fabulous hill/Downs walks a short drive away. At the moment the scaffolding is the best way to spot the house. Loved the whole experience.

Our house is a pretty Victorian terrace, situated in Hyde. It is well located for visiting the town centre and many of the beautiful landmarks of Winchester. The city centre is within easy walking distance, 10 - 15 minutes, with the train station a 5 minute walk. A great stop for cyclists and walkers, there is no garage but bike's may be left inside the house overnight. There are several pubs within a stone's throw and a large number of restaurants and coffee bars all within walking distance.
Bedroom 2 is a comfortable single room beautifully decorated, overlooking the pretty courtyard garden and St.Bartholomew's church. Bedroom 2 is only available on the same booking as bedroom 1 (i.e for one family or group).
The area of Hyde is historically rich and has become a place name synonymous with King Alfred the Great, whose bones were moved to Hyde Abbey in 1110. Winnall Moors Nature Reserve is very close by and on walking through it seems difficult to believe you are right next to the centre of town!
  • Fabulous AirnB’er! You couldn’t want for anything more!

  • I had a lovely stay with my hosts, Henny and her mother, and couldn't have been made more welcome. The accommodation was clean and warm, and provided everything I needed, and the bed was very comfortable, so I slept very well too. It is about 5 minutes walk to the centre of Winchester, and not much further to the station so very well located. I look forward to staying there again when I'm in Winchester. I would thoroughly recommend it to others.

  • One of the best places we have stayed. It’s in a beautiful location and very nicely kept. Highly recommended.

  • What a super place to indulge in plenty of walks from the accommodation along the South Downs Way. If you enjoy soft fluffy towels, crisp white bed linen and calm and well designed properties then you will enjoy your stay at The Stables.

    Victoria2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • If your looking for somewhere to relax in the wonderful South Downs Countryside then this is the ideal place s to stay . Having holidayed in both beautifully appointed Conversions ‘The Dairy’ & ‘The Stables’ the only choice is whether you need two or three bedrooms. Modern clean interiors , Crisp white linen, Fluffy white towels, central heating, oodles of hot water to relax in after a day exploring, either on foot or by car. Plenty of wildlife to watch from the comfort of these well appointed homes which have everything needed for the perfect stay. Good food available at The Hinton Arms just over a mile from the village on the Petersfield Road including a great Sunday lunch or The Flower Pots in Cheriton which boosts its own Brewery serves Sandwiches or a One Pot Meal. Can recommend The Globe in Alresford for great food in a lovely riverside setting. Plenty of local shops, tea rooms In Alresford plus the famous Watercress Heritage Railway. Ancient capital of England Winchester, Famous college and beautiful Cathedral is well worth a visit. We will definitely be making a third visit to Beaworth as soon as possible.

  • Beautiful converted stable in a beautiful part of the English countryside. Large dining table was excellent for working at. Extremely peaceful

    Tom2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful rural retreat in one of the best undiscovered hamlets in Hampshire. The church clock striking each hour was very gentle and relaxing. Complete with fledging owl and close to the iconic chalk streams of the itchen and The Bush pub, Pulpo Nero tapas, Long Barn - all great places to eat watercress and trout, the locally produced food and much more. A free choral concert of Evensong in Winchester cathedral every day- one of the best choirs in the world, the house of Jane Austen and a visit to the distillery where all of the Bombay Sapphire gin is brewed make this an interesting place to visit

    Gail2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic time here in the lead up to our wedding which was a bit stressful but the beautiful surroundings allowed us to relax and unwind in the evenings. The house was beautiful decorated, light, spacious and very homely. The living space was a lot bigger than expected and made for a very comfortable stay. Simon was quick to respond and check in was very easy, would highly recommend.

    Mark2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky enough to book both the Stables and the Diary for a family Christmas! The Stables were beyond perfect for our trip! We cooked Christmas dinner and celebrated with all 10 of us in the kitchen/living area. The Stables are beautifully decorated and appointed, it has every thing you need for a wonderfully relaxing stay. If Simon would let me, I would gladly come and stay forever. The beds are so comfortable, the couches welcoming and I LOVED LOVED seeing sheep each morning when I had my coffee. Truly first class experience, I cannot wait to come back!! The area surrounding Beauworth is fabulous beautiful walks, lovely pubs (Flower Pots, George and Falcon), and we managed a trip up to Laverstoke to visit the Bombay Distillery! You will most likely need a car. We rented one out of Southhampton. This is such a lovely part of England, and we are so lucky we got to enjoy it while staying at the Stables. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Truly magically visit! Thank you so much to Simon & Sean!

Light, spacious bedroom, tastefully decorated. Cupboard with hanging space and shelves. Bedside cupboard for storage. An antique comfy chair. Comfortable double bed. Opposite the bathroom, but private as it’s set towards the back of the house.

  • Marlene and Kevin's place is what every airBnB experience should aspire to be. They were the perfect hosts- genuine, warm hearted people with a great enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. Rarely have I felt so warmly welcomed. Marlene was very quick to communicate during and in the leadup to our stay, arranging to meet up in town and being flexible about checkin/out. Their home is a gorgeous period cottage filled with nice touches like fresh flowers and a chocolate on the pillow - thank you Marlene! If you are lucky enough to try Kevins amazing breakfast with tomoto gravey you won't be disappointed. Kamber the dog added an adorable friendly (and hairy!) element to our stay, helping us to feel right at home. Thank you all for making us feel like part of the family. We hope to come back one day! Much love, Cat and Matt xxx

  • Toms place is in the perfect location only a quick stroll into the centre of Winchester and close to many restaurants, bars and shops. He couldn’t have been more helpful in his responses and recommendations. The place is easy to get to and was brilliantly decorated, clean and comfortable. Everything we could have wanted xx

    Elena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room, excellent location. Tom was really helpful and went the extra mile.

  • I could not have been happier with my stay here. Tom was the most accommodating Airbnb host I have ever had. I got sick right before arriving and didn’t want to share a bed with my friend I was tracking with for fear of giving it to her. So Tom made up a beautiful second bed for us that was just as cute at the official real bed already there. This was so helpful. Really saved our trip. The room was stunning, location is perfect, and check in was smooth. Would give 6 stars if I could.

  • Great location, about 5-10 minute stroll to the high street. Lovely studio apartment, couldn’t want more for a weekend break with other half!!

    Charly2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic place! Quick walk to the middle of town, all the sights, and the train station but just far enough away to be on a quiet street. Gorgeous, clean apartment. Tom was a wonderful host - flexible with the check-in and made it extremely easy to get in ourselves and let us know the best spots to get dinner. Everything about this place made our trip perfect - hope we make it back & can stay here again! :)

  • Wonderful location, very close to all you need.

    Dean2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely place is cozy, clean and it got all the amenities that one might need to have a good couple of days in a lovely town such Winchester, the flat is located within 5 minutes from the centre and is very quiet, also the host Tom will replay within a few minutes any enquiries at all, no matter the simple or silly things that you have in mind. I absolutely recommend people to take advantage of this beautiful place. Luis

A beautifully converted, luxury holiday cottage for two, tucked away in the small hamlet of Woodcote, between Winchester and Bishop's Waltham, in the South Downs National Park.
Exceptional one bedroom, self catering accommodation in a stunning rural setting (in the South Downs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty). Perfect for a romantic break, away from the daily hustle and bustle but still close to towns like Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton. Medieval market town Bishop's Waltham is nearby with a butcher, greengrocer, bakery, the best coffee in Hampshire, a traditional sweet shop, 2 supermarkets as well as countless independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
  • Very cute and cosy cottage! Home from home!! Complimentary goodies were a nice touch. Such a comfy bed, best ever! Great location to explore the south coast and lovely local walks! Very quiet area in the middle of nowhere 🙂

  • Super modern space with plenty of walks from the doorstep. Marian was extremely speedy with communication and offered lots of suggestions for local spas when asked. She also left some lovely cookies and gin which were much appreciated! The log burner was fantastic as we shut ourselves away to hide from Storm Ciara. Bathroom very modern and great shower. Large, comfy bed with plenty of storage space. Microwave oven super handy for any cooking, plus induction hob. Oil/salt/pepper provided, plus some orange juice and milk. Note bathroom is not ensuite but through the kitchen/living room. Had a very relaxing stay here.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. There is a wonderful pub in the village that we were able to walk to. Winchester is really close as well - and returning to the Woodcote Barn was really something we'd look forward to at the end of each day. Everything about it is so thoughtful, it seemed like there was always another detail we hadn't noticed. Highly recommended!

  • We are so pleased we chose the Stables for our first experience using Airbnb, Marian and Justin were incredibly helpful and the property was charming, cosy and clean with everything we needed. The location is beautiful and peaceful and it was the perfect place from which to explore Winchester and enjoy walks in the local countryside. We would love to stay again.

    Anna2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Stables is a lovely property in a great location. We stayed in January and it was so cosy and a great place to come back to after a day out. As mentioned by others it is very clean, well equipped and Marian has worked hard to think of everything with some thoughtful touches.

    Julia2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a lovely long weekend at The Stables. The space is thoughtfully arranged and super cosy, it has everything needed for a quiet getaway. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and pots pans etc so everything you need for nights in, and if you don't feel like cooking, the village pub nearby is great! There are books and DVD's on the shelves to entertain while sitting by the log burner. Loads of beautiful walks in the area and there is a detailed guidebook in the stables with tips and walks you can go on. The cookies and gin were a lovely welcome touch (though we were doing dry Jan, but I'm sure the gin was delicious!) . Marian and Justin are great hosts and were very communicative through the whole process, helping me with taxi numbers and weather tips. Thanks again for having us!

  • We stayd a week at Marians beautiful place and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. It was clean, cosy and the bed sheets where wonderful soft. A beautiful bathroom, nice kitchen and livingroom. Very thoughtful details when we arrived made us feel welcome. Also Marian and her husband are very friendly. We would absolutely recomend it to everybody who looks for a quiet place on the countryside with short distance to several excursions.

    Anne2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little place. Marian had put out lovely christmas decorations and left some delicious gin and mince pies. Amazing local area and an easy journey to Winchester. We love this place and love to keep exploring the area. We will definitely be returning again. Thanks Marian!
