Beautifully converted barn, I lovingly restored it over the last 10 years, to the highest standards to offer a modern country living. I made it as my dreams evolved, including a home cinema, underfloor heating, internal courtyard for barbecues etc. Tucked away in a pretty village with it's bakery and convenience store, yet with easy access to stunning local countryside, historic villages and castles. The house is perfect for family celebrations or to get away from it all whatever the weather.

Loft at Moulin Chandy

The loft is furnished, with authenticity, in the former Moulin Chandy, adjoining our house, in a quiet and relaxing natural site, on the banks of the small river "Champdieu", in the town of Usson-en-Forez, 5 km from the village and its shops. This place is ideal to recharge your batteries, at the confluence of the Loire, Haute-Loire and Puy-de-Dôme departments. There are plenty of walking trails on site and it is possible to cool off in the river, or even to fish.

Accommodation – Usson-en-Forez

Lover of the countryside, come and discover this recently renovated stone family house, located in a quiet and peaceful hamlet at an altitude of 950 m, on the borders of the Loire, Haute Loire and Puy de Dôme departments. The rural village of Usson-en-Forez is 3 km away and has all the essential shops as well as a cinema. A weekly market is held every Sunday morning. To discover: its eco-museum, its tourist train, its lake and its hiking and mountain biking trails.

Le Corbusier Apartment

Experience a unique stay in the last housing unit designed by Le Corbusier (1965-67) on the largest site in Europe imagined by the architect, which includes a House of Culture (UNESCO classified), a stadium and a church. The apartment (95 m2), ideal for a family, renovated in the colors of Le Corbusier, incorporates characteristic elements of the time. A perfect base to discover the region: Saint-Etienne (10 min), Puy-en-Velay (45 min) and Lyon (1 hr).

For a weekend or a longer stay, enjoy a natural environment in a fuste. This wooden log construction seduces with its originality and its soothing atmosphere. This log is in the middle of the trees on the Chapelle d'Aurec. A Relaxation Area, outdoor Nordic bath and sauna, in a small independent cabin, will complete your stay: by RESERVATION, paid session, RULES of use accommodation section. SDB + cuisine. WI-FI très haut débit (fibre). Chauffage poêle à bois (supplément 15 euros/j en période hivernale, à régler en sus). Entrée indépendante. J'occupe l'autre moitié de la maison. En option: soins/massages énergétiques. Heure d'arrivée tardive OK.

House located in a hamlet in the countryside between Monts du Forez and Gorges de la Loire, 20 minutes from Saint Etienne and Saint-Bonnet-Le-Château, about 1 hour from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, 1 hour 15 minutes from Puy en Velay, come and rest, hike or mountain bike, many paths from the cottage. House adjoining the owners' house but independent with private garden area and barbecue, you can enjoy the pool in summer.

The Fargettes home

On the edge of Puy de Dôme, 930 meters above sea level, very close to the Loire and Haute Loire, this old farmhouse located in a peaceful hamlet of Livradois Forez, is surrounded by many paths for walking. In summer you can enjoy the barbecue on the terrace and a place to stay that stays cool during heat waves. Important: I feed a cat that comes by the house every day.
