Longstones Avebury – Kennet

MichelleRating, 5 starstoday
Enjoyed 2 lovely nights here. Perfect spot for walking to Avebury Stones, drivable to visit various local towns (very much recommend Bradford on Avon and a trip to Little Rituals coffee and plant shop) and was just incredibly peaceful and calm. Ben was a very proactive host and provided everything we needed. Will definitely book again!

Wow! What an incredible home- everything was AMAZING. The place was newly made and everything was so tastefully & thoughtfully done. Very modern yet felt like it blended it right with the country side vibes. The location was awesome, short drive from the town centre and lots of hikes etc. nearby! Would 11/10 recommend and will definitely be back soon! The views are also lovely!

Exceptional Country Retreat in Wiltshire AONB

We had a fantastic stay – the house was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. It was perfect for our family, especially with a young child. Safe, comfortable, and even had a cot and highchair. Great location for exploring the area, and Iveta was friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!

Secluded cottage with garden, 15 min walk to pub

We loved our stay in this heavenly bower. A wonderful haven to rest in and to practise shinrin yoku (Japanese forest bathing/nature immersion to improve wellbeing) in. Download the 'Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab' app and have fun identifying the birdsong! The North Wessex Downs are glorious. We visited Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow and Savernake Forest when we were in the area last year and this time we enjoyed walks on Martinsell Hill and Knap Hill as well as in the small wood behind the cottage. Watching the sunlight in the trees from the garden was magical. Fenella is a friendly, generous host (thank you for the flowers, milk, wine, chocolate, tea, coffee, flapjack, toiletries and kitchen essentials) and the cottage was very comfortable and clean, with care given to everything guests might need. Unusual and pleasing to find the knives were sharp and the pans unscratched in the well-equipped kitchen. A joy to cook there and to eat in the garden. Thank you! We hope to return.

Bright and airy apartment within orangery

The post code address didn’t quite get us to Steve’s front door but we found it without too much trouble. The property is large and the cottage itself was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack was excellent. There are a couple of nice local pubs and Melksham is close by. Bath is about half an hour away and there are a number of National Trust properties within a similar distance. A very pleasant property which is recommended.

Wylye Valley Guest Cottage

We had a fantastic stay – the property was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. The host, Olivia, was incredibly responsive and super helpful throughout, which made everything really easy. The bed and linen were extremely comfortable, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful – we slept so well. It’s beautifully furnished and thoughtfully designed, with everything you might need. Off-road parking was a big plus, and the location is great – just a 3-minute walk to the local pub and really convenient for the A303. We’d absolutely stay again. Highly recommend.
