Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon

The location is quite good, and the communication with the hosts was very easy. Both were very kind to me. My only main downsides are the following. 1) This place has stairs, and, from my experience, one needs to use them a lot. So, do not go for it if you have any mobility impairment (or temporary mobility problem); otherwise, it is completely fine 2) No washing machine, although there is a laundry nearby on the main street. If neither is a problem for you, I recommend the place!

Andre was a truly amazing host. He lives nearby and treated us more like friends than guests. We were even invited to his birthday party — an unforgettable and authentic dive into Brazilian culture. The home is located about 1.5 kilometers up a rocky dirt road, with a 300-meter elevation gain — which probably makes a huge difference during the hot season. The views of the granite mountains are stunning, and you really feel immersed in nature. Monkeys are frequent guests There are fantastic hiking trails nearby, including one that leads to a waterfall, and I especially recommend the trail to Chinesa Vista — one of the most breathtaking views of the city from above. It’s about a 30-minute walk each way and a great little workout

It was a great stay! The house is very spacious and has a lot of natural light and tall ceilings for air to flow through which made it nice to relax in at all times. The rooms all have fans or ventilators as well. The area is perfect as you are right near the botanical gardens and close to the restaurants and bars in Leblon / Gávea. It is also only about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The added amenities such as a well equipped kitchen, washing machine and TV were very nice to have. Patrick was also very responsive and flexible. Thank you !

Diogo received me in such short notice, and was flexible with my check out time. Marianna was also really helpful, responsive and communicative. The place was cosy and had all the utensils needed. Will deffo recommend.

Acredito, sem dúvida, que este é um dos melhores espaços de Copacabana. Explico: ambiente novo, espaçoso, limpo, muito sossegado; cozinha perfeita, com todos os utensílios necessários ( cafeteira elétrica, liquidificador, tostadeira, etc ). Tem água quente em todas as torneiras e a ducha é de ótima qualidade. Os dois ares condicionados são novos e com os filtros limpos. Todo o local é muito limpo e organizado. Não falta nada! A rua é praticamente dentro de uma vila e não tem barulho nenhum. Fica perto da padaria Pão e Companhia - que vende os melhores biscoitos de polvilho com queijo; do botequim Adega Pérola; de muitos bares, mercados e de academias, além de estar menos de 100 m da estação de metro Arcoverde. Além do mais, Gregório é um exemplar anfitrião: sempre disponível e com uma atenção diuturna. Voltarei sempre , a espaço este espetacular, quando voltar ao Rio, se tiver disponibilidade!!!

Gostaria de agradecer ao Alexandre e à Jaqueline. Tive uma experiência ímpar nesta casa, com exatamente a vibe de floresta que eu estava buscando e o melhor: sem estar longe da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. A decoração rústica da casa traz um charme especial, e o terraço com churrasqueira, iluminado por aquelas lâmpadas aconchegantes, foi um dos meus cantinhos favoritos. A vista panorâmica da cidade ali de cima é simplesmente de tirar o fôlego. Um lugar ideal tanto para ir a dois quanto acompanhado de amigos. Com certeza voltarei!

We had a wonderful stay at Luiza’s beautiful Ipanema apartment! 🌴✨ The space is exactly as shown in the photos—light, stylish, and incredibly peaceful, just a stone’s throw from the beach and close to great bars and restaurants. Luiza was an exceptional host—friendly, communicative, and very accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours early, and she kindly let us drop off our bags so we could start exploring straight away. She also gave us fantastic local recommendations that really added to our Rio experience. We’d definitely love to stay here again—thank you, Luiza, for making our time in Rio so memorable! 🌊🌞

Gustavo é um anfitrião excepcional e muito atencioso! Como íamos com bebê, ele se dispôs a adquirir um berço e colchão para acomodar o nosso bebê, o que mudou totalmente a nossa experiência. Durante toda a hospedagem ele nos consultou sobre eventuais necessidades ou dúvidas e tudo correu muito bem. O seu apartamento é muito completo e confortável e tem um diferencial em se tratando de Rio de Janeiro: todos os ambientes (sala, cozinha, banheiro, quarto e sacada) são amplos e confortáveis, nada é apertado. A localização é perfeita, no coração do Leblon. Voltaremos a nos hospedar lá certamente.

Our stay at Carlos place was perfect! The neighborhood was great, peaceful, walkable and a lot of stuff to do. It was really close to the beach which is a big plus. The check in went really well, and Carlos was always available to help us by text, thank you!

Achei tranquilo. O apartamento de um quarto é muito confortável, bem equipado, silencioso e com uma varanda ótima. A vizinhança é uma maravilha pra quem gosta de áreas verdes e bons restaurantes.

Segunda vez que fico no apartamento da Danielle. Tudo maravilhoso! Único ponto negativo é a falta de vidro anti ruído do prédio.

I really enjoyed my stay! The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and had a great location - it is literally across the street from the beach! Camille was extremely helpful and responsive during my stay, even sending my friend and I several recommendations for activities to do in Rio. The location of the apartment is great, with great local restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. It is also just a quick Uber ride away from big attractions like Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer. Overall, I had a great experience and would stay again if I came back to Rio.

Amazing flat with one of the best views of Ipanema! it looks just like the pictures if not better. super close to the beach and the location in general is great with loads of botecos, stores, etc. Julie as a host was amazing, always super responsive and gave us loads of tips. Will definitely try staying here the next time I'm in Rio!

O apartamento é incrível, novo, bonito, espaçoso e muito bem equipado. Dá até vontade de morar nele rs. A localização é incrível, perto da praia e com ótimos restaurantes ao redor. Gilmar é um anfitrião muito gentil, o porteiro também foi muito gentil em nos ajudar com as malas. Com certeza voltarei em outras oportunidades.

Fomos para o casamento de minha filha,no Rio, e foi o melhor local que poderíamos ter achado... A adriana,proprietária é muito simpática e acolhedora... nos deixou a vontade. E o apartamento foi ideal, estava perfeito, a localização maravilhosa, o bairro, uma vista linda do Pão de Açúcar, em frente,pertinho, e um espaço bom para nosso cão, que por sinal amou... e ao abrir a porta um cheiro delicioso de td arrumado e limpo, nos detalhes. Amamos, e voltaremos... !

El alojamiento de Beatriz y Valdemar es perfecto, es tan cual las fotos. Está muy bien equipado. Destaco la buena calidad de juegos de sábanas y toallas. Valdemar es una persona muy atenta, que está con predisposición a ayudar. El encargado del edificio es muy simpático y atento. El estudio se encuentra sobre una calle principal, cerca de lugares para comer y hacer compras. A pocas cuadras de la playa y de la Laguna. Recomiendo ampliamente este alojamiento, sin duda volvería.
