This quaint village house is located high up in the pretty hillside village of Rodes. Rodes rests in the Languedoc Roussillon/Pyrenees-Orientales region of France where Mount Canigou dominates the skyline. A 30 minute drive takes you to Perpignan and the stunning Mediterranean coast. The house has breath taking views of Mount Canigou from the rooftop terrace and can comfortably sleep up to 4 persons. It has a private garage, free WIFI and two bikes available for guests to use. On the ground floor is the walk through garage and a utility area with a washing machine. The two bedrooms are on the first floor. The 2nd floor offers open plan living with a fully equipped kitchen and an area for relaxing and eating. From here you access the sunny outdoor terrace and the mezzanine bathroom. The house and the area are perfect for a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Nearby is a village shop and easy access to the main road between Perpignan and Andorra. The village of Vinca is within walking distance and you can swim, relax and sunbathe on the shores of the crystal clear lake. Maison Mimosa is located in an exceptionally picturesque area ideal for walking and mountain biking as well as a visit to the world reknowned hot springs at Thomas Les Bains. During the winter season, the nearest slopes are just a 45 minute drive away. The 50 euros rate per night is negotiable dependent on number of guests, number if nights booked and the season. The + of the house: The thick walls and double glazing maintain a pleasant temperature in winter and summer. A skylight opening onto a well of light, illuminates the main room in an original way. A jacuzzi under a skylight in the master suite, to relax under the stars. The patio walls hiding views from the neighborhood add a “little private paradise” feel to the house. The small pond in the middle of the garden has a small fountain which gives a relaxing Zen feel. The advantages of the village: very pretty views, very quiet village, a small restaurant / grocery store / bakery, provides food assistance and makes up for the laziness of cooking. A small church to visit. Many departure points for hikes.
