Kōtuku Cottage - spacious seclusion by the water

This quiet cottage is nestled amongst mature native trees in iconic Totara Avenue, 10 mins from Collingwood, and overlooking a tidal estuary and bush-clad hills, with the beach just over the road. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living area is private and sunny. The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom has a queen and two singles in a bunk. Kōtuku has a wooden deck along two sides, where you can sit and enjoy the view, or you can watch the tides from a private jetty.

Te Whare o Kea - A tiny house with a big heart!

Te Whare o Kea is a non profit social enterprise and supports Kea and kiwi Conservation. It provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. Spectacular sunrises and night skies also help make it the perfect location x Since opening in October 2020, Te Whare o Kea has donated over $18,000 to the Kea Conservation Trust, supported local kea conservation, set up a 17 trap trapline and monitored a trail camera, discovering kiwi are close by too. The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

The Lodge offers private beach access and a shared spa pool with expansive views across the ocean. Take a stroll through 4ha of gardens and feel free to sample fruits from our organic orchards. The Chalet has garden views only, if you prefer sea views we can offer you The Bach, The Cabin, The Cottage or The Lodge main house.

Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit about15 min. A small fully equiped kitchen, a seperate bedroom and spacious seating area awaits you inside. Your private Bathroom and Toilet is about 20m away in the main house. You can enjoy the peaceful setting in a way like camping used to be 40 years ago.
