Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Rockport

We instantly felt at home! Everything we needed was there, including things that I often bring with me because they aren't usually provided. Erin has set up this house the way you would if you lived there yourself--extra pillows, blankets, bathroom and kitchen towels, kitchen and laundry detergent. Basic spices, coffee and tea, sugar and creamer, every kitchen gadget and utensil. Bath products, night lights, beach chairs and towels. Even a bluetooth speaker and use of their Netflix account! All we needed were a few groceries and some sunshine to enjoy the outdoor spaces and seasonal game room. The house is spacious and charming! Their check-in and check-out methods are easy and they left ample info on how things work in the house and local restaurant and activity recommendations. This is a great location and home. I almost wish we had brought the kids...

We had a fantastic stay and loved the local neighborhood. It is super easy to walk a few minutes to the T to get into Boston. We had all adults, so it was great to have lots of space to spread out and each have our own bathroom. Bedrooms are all upstairs. Be aware that there are lots of stairs, if mobility is an issue. There is a train that runs directly behind the house. It is loudest in the basement bedroom. This wasn’t an issue for us, as we are used to noise at home, but if you are sensitive to sound, bring earplugs for sleeping. The kitchen was well-equipped and there are so many fun toys if you have little ones. The area is very safe and easy to walk to restaurants and cute little shops. Mike and Anna are great hosts and very responsive to any needs or questions. Beds were comfy and everything we needed was at hand. The neighbors were also very friendly when we were out strolling. The home is very homey and well-decorated—not like the usual cookie-cutter-style of most rentals.

An amazing place to stay! So beautiful and peaceful, feels very private. A beach and coffee shop are a short walk away! Love this place and would come again.

I don't know who needs to hear this but....I don't even really want to say all this, I want to gate keep it sooo bad...but for the sake of a 5-star review on Airbnb, I'll do it. Scituate is probably the best kept secret I've ever stumbled on. Then there's this gorgeous beach cottage, (also found by shear luck I guess). I'm a sucker for a well designed home as it is, but this one. Oh, is it cute. Super Cozy in all the best ways, decor is to die for, absolutely every little thing you need already waiting for you. Super comfy beds!! Sleeping arrangements are well done and everyone has plenty of space to spread out. The living area is just on the other side of the den, so it's GREAT to split the kids off to their own space. Neighbors are fun and so kind! Walk to the beach!!!! Literally, you can see it from the driveway. Heather, your host, pretty much the best you can get. All her recommendations were legit!! Ok enough, shhhh, don't tell anyone else about this Scituate Gem!

Sheila's cottage by the sea did not disappoint! This sweet, plenty spacious, dog friendly home perfectly accommodated my husband, me, and our two "inquisitive and always on the alert", pups. Highlights were: location, location, location (easy walk to Pavilion Beach); large wrap-around expansive deck equipped with comfortable seating and tall bar stools allowing one to see even more of the serene, panoramic, spectacular water views; clean, comfortable, homey, quaint & quirky (in a good way) surroundings; vases of lilacs and one of beautiful fresh flowers; charming wood -some reclaimed- ceilings in the sun and main rooms; some updated features such as the easy to open windows for ocean breezes and new washer & dryer; frosted, ice cold pint beer glasses waiting for us on the door of the freezer - much appreciated - and lastly, the large shower with steam (should you be so inclined), and clawfoot tub. We would love to return to this little slice of paradise some day. Thank you Sheila!

We had a great stay. The place has a pretty view of the ocean, and the beautiful beach is just a short walk away.

This host was amazing at getting things ready for us with our last minute booking. The house is GORGEOUS and a quick walk to rockport center which was perfect for us and our little kids. We loved everything about it. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!

This was our second time staying at Ned‘s place. Just as Beautiful as it was several years ago. He keeps the property very well maintained and takes pride in making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need for a pleasant stay. Felt right at home!!

Amy was very responsive and communicative. The house was clean and maps took us right to the home. It was too early in the season to enjoy the pool but it was pristine and would have been great for hot summer weather. Amy was wonderful with trying to accomodate any requests and we liked the location from easy access to Salem and within a one hour drive to Boston!

I loved everything Maxine said and how she helped navigate around every even in the house, everything was so clean, very quite place good for professional working, everything was just beyond, amazing & lovely place you feel right at home with so much space to move around the house. Super fun and eclectic house! What really made the stay were the owners, they are thoughtful and very responsive, they clearly care a lot about their guests!

The check-in process was so smooth and finding the place was super easy! The house was absolutely gorgeous and accommodating for us to stay the night. We wished we could have stayed to enjoy the amenities that were part of the campground! The location was perfect for us to be able to go to our concert the night of check in! We will definitely be back in our future travels!

We were lucky enough to have a very extended stay at this lovely little bungalow! The house is so sweet! The layout is easy, the rooms are comfortably furnished, and the floors are beautiful, and there is an incredible library of books. The house is full of natural light, and nestled in a little private spot. There is lovely landscaping in the front yard, and the back yard is magical. The pool is amazing, and you feel like you are in your own little peaceful world here. The house is an easy walk to all of the things that make Rockport such a cool town. And, you can hear the ocean at night from the yard! Trent and Cassie are the best hosts! Kind, responsive, and mellow. We loved everything about our stay! We will be back. ( :

We really enjoyed our time here! The location of this house was a great home base for us. We were able to easily travel to Boston & Salem on day trips. Gloucester and the surrounding areas had so much to offer so we were able to do a lot of fun things! Matthew provided great local recommendations as well which was perfect! The house was nice and clean and was easy to find and access. We would stay again!

This is our second year staying at Martin and Ellen’s home. You can’t beat the location and the home is large enough for 2 or more families to be comfortable.

Dominique is a great host, and stands out from others in the Gloucester area with her kindness and openness. She welcomed us even though we arrived later than the check in time, guided us to the unit, and made sure that we felt right at home. Her friendliness to our family and our pet is something we really value and appreciate. If you need a cozy riverside apartment within 10 minutes of the lovely cafes and shops of Downtown Gloucester or 15 minutes from picturesque Bearskin Neck in Rockport, this should be at the top of your list!

Had a nice time, house was close to a lot. Great location and kept us close to friends and family. We will be back. Would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in Gloucester

Beautiful apartment in the Neck - probably the pettiest place I’ve been to in all of Boston. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Surf Bungalow. The house was exactly as pictured and very clean. The views of the marsh and ocean beyond are terrific. The location is great, so close to everything. Shaws market is just around the corner. For a great pizza or sub be sure to visit Surfside subs which is about 3 minutes up the road. We also like Midori Chinese/Japanese restaurant ( thanks to the owner for the recommendation) We had a delicious lunch with the best fried whole clams at the Lobster of Gloucester, a restaurant that should not be missed if your staying in Gloucester. Both restaurants are just 5 or 10 minutes from the house. Another fun trip is the road out the Eastern Point Lighthouse and a walk on the jetty. Just ignore the private road signs that try to scare you off, the road is public and open to everyone all the way to the lighthouse.

What a gorgeous place in a historic town that was exactly what we needed! Communication and instructions were easy to understand. Lots of extra towels and linens, pillows, blankets. I only wish we could have stayed longer, we’ll have to come back in the summer.
