Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Rockingham County

We loved staying at Aaron and Jun's sweet cottage in Kittery. The location is amazing if you want to walk to cafes, restaurants and even into downtown Portsmouth. We so appreciated how baby friendly the place is, with extra toys in a closet. The outside garden area is a beautiful bonus. As some other reviewers mention, the bar next door can stay noisy at night, if you are sensitive, but we didn't notice it once we turned the fan on.

Booked for my out of town family to stay for my wedding week. House was clean and beautiful inside and had plenty of space for 4 adults and a kiddo. Would book it again!

Darryl’s house was extremely enjoyable. It had everything we needed, and we had a very relaxing time at the lake. It felt private, amazing views, and was very comfortable.

We spent the weekend here catching up with friends and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The house was cozy and welcoming from the moment we arrived, with beautiful views all around. We’re so thankful we got to stay and make the most of it. There’s so much to do nearby, and it’s just a quick drive to Portsmouth, NH, which has so many great places to explore. Rachel also shared some fantastic recommendations that made our trip even better.

Everything we needed to get away, cook, and enjoy a fireplace.

Another wonderful stay at 48 Franklin. So comfortable and immaculate. The surroundings are so serene with the bunnies playing outside and the birds fishing in the river. And yet, a quick stroll takes you to coffee and nibbles at Inkwell, dinner at Ambrose or Cornicello, and craft shopping at Exeter Fine Arts. The best!

Nice stay for a local wedding. Clean and comfortable bed. Glad we had hosts detailed info for the parking area.

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Evan and Rachel were wonderful, responsive hosts and the property was exactly what I hoped for. Upon arrival, the washer looked and smelled very moldy. My advice to any future guests would be to please consider airing out the washer after using it to help prevent this. The AC/heat pump units also seemed a bit musty. However, after communicating the issue to the hosts, they quickly offered to come in later that day to sanitize the washer and give our unit an ozone treatment to deal with the mold spores in the air. I really appreciated the effort and it resolved the problem enough for me to feel comfortable washing my clothes. The convenience of living on the main road in town was nice, but the street was a bit noisy at night. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay at The Loft Escape Apartment again!

The apartment in Amesbury is lovely and in a great location. The owners suggested restaurants which we really liked (esp. The Bakehouse and Crave Cafe). It’s also an easy drive to Salisbury Beach where we attended a family party. We hoped to walk around the pretty town, but the weather prevented that, maybe another time!

We came in from out of town for a few days and were so pleased with our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. It was very close to the beach and walkable to the center for entertainment and restaurants. We would absolutely book again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

It was great staying at Elizabeth's place! Very clean Airbnb nestled in Hampton. Short 15 minute drive to get to Phillips Exeter for parents or alumni visiting. Very comfortable bed and a clean bathroom with all the amenities you could need including soap, body wash, conditioner, and towels. Would definitely stay here again when I am in the area! Elizabeth was very responsive. She helped me out during a freak blackout that occurred even though she was all the way in California at the time. I really appreciate her help!

Very lovely place for two couples. Close to everything and very walkable. While walking we admired people's gardens. And Italian Market is less than one block away with fresh sandwiches, salads and sweets . Very responsive hosts. We enjoyed our stay and will come back!

Nice place, clean, comfy bed, very well stocked, had everything i needed for a month. I work from home, over the internet. My only recommendation to Alan and Martha is to fix the wifi which went down multiple times per day and disconnect me from my job and conference calls. The first 3 or so times it happened, i called & texted the 2 phone numbers that Alan provided (in a note on the fridge). I also left a voice mail and knocked on their front door. but i never heard back about my text or voicemail. Eventually I unplugged are re-plugged the antenna/router which fixed the issue most times. Sometimes you have to do it 2 or 3 times, but eventually it does work.

I’ve rented several places, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. The home was immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—and more! The kitchen had all the essentials, plus extras like spices, condiments, and even butter, which we needed. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making our stay even more comfortable. The mattress was high quality and very comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge bonus. Everything was perfect—highly recommend!

Part 2 of my extended stay at this little cabin and the feeling remains the same. Great spot, private beach, comfortable bed, awesome fire pit. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Definitely hope to return soon!

The spot is a real gem. My family of four, including two children, thoroughly enjoyed our time canoeing, eating fireside and sitting in the woods with the birds and other wildlife. It has a remote and private feel, even while being relatively close to campus and the greater Seacoast. There are thoughtful touches in the home (stainless steel kettle, natural soaps, etc) and on a cool June evening the fire kept us toasty in the loft. Our time was more glamorous than camping. It was perfection and we are already planning our next trip!

My wife and I stayed with our dog and it was wonderful, the lake was beautiful and full of fish! Great swimming area that our dog loved, and a dock to fish off. The cabin was perfect and was as shown in the pictures we enjoyed a Nice fire in the provided fire pit, before sleeping comfortably! 10/10 would stay again for sure

We stayed for two days and it was wonderful. We felt like we had plenty of privacy but were able to ask our hosts at any time if we needed anything. Their cat was so sweet and everything was described with no bad surprises.

Such a lovely getaway. We loved the paddle boat and kayak. Justin was super communicative and helpful as well.

Beautiful wooden house. Large enough for 5 people. Very quiet and intimate place with woodland. Kids loved it. The only downside is the beds that are not very comfortable.

We loved staying at Nicole's cabin and found it just as advertised. It is located on a pond so very peaceful to just hang out and enjoy. Several casual restaurants near by.

We enjoyed a beautiful autumn weekend here at Melissa's lake cottage. It truly felt like a little home away from home! We enjoyed the firepit outside, and if we had better weather for the other days we were going to make use of the kayaks. Having a rainy day inside this place wasn't a downside at all, plenty of room for the three of us to spread out and enjoy some board games and creative writing. The loons calling outside and the surrounding fall foliage were extra treats! Melissa made it super easy and communicated quickly, even with my asking lots of questions. Definitely on my "will stay again if I can" list!!!
