Waterfront holiday rentals in Roanoke Island

This Airbnb was great! We were a little skeptical at first because its located right in between all of the small shops, but it was awesome!

My wife and I are kayaking the ICW and needed a place near the water to wait out a storm. Gia’s place is PERFECTLY located! We landed right in front of the apartment and it was easy to pull the boat out with the little boat ramp. Also, it is just across the water from the famous restaurant at Coinjock marina that everyone had been telling us about. Gia have lots of great instructions on how to enter, though the local recommendations were over the top (I think this is encouraged by AirBnB, though). Her responses were immediate, which helped us quickly decide to book with her because she is so proactive. The apartment is just as described, and had everything we needed for our two night stay. We liked having the little balcony with a view of the water. That is a nice feature!! The building itself is in need of some maintenance, though that won’t affect your stay. It seems as if a bunch of improvement work is underway at the premises, meaning this place will be even more amazing soon!

This is a fantastic unit for a couple (or best friends!) retreat. The location is perfect - directly across the street from beach entrance, walking distance to great coffee shops, local ice cream, surf shops, brewery, food, convenience stores, and more! I liked the house was at the end of a cul-de-sac so no traffic on the street. The host is very friendly and responsive with great directions. Check in/out was hassle free. I will definitely be coming back for a long weekend getaway!

We had a great stay. Everything was neat and clean. Comfortable. Lots of dishes to use. The pool was nice and the little walk to the beach was nice. Loved being able to sit on the balcony and see the ocean. 10/10!

We stayed here at Zoe’s place after our wedding. It was the most perfect little place to stay just my husband and I. We loved having a quiet little space to return to after hanging out with family and friends all week. Having the nice little touches like coffee from a local shop, laundry detergent, and bathroom items already there made it even extra special. Zoe definitely knows how to make a guest experience wonderful! If we ever need a little space for just us two we will return again!!

We loved our stay at James’ condo. The location is away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to get to everything within minutes. The condo itself is directly across from the pool, which was perfect for us. Our kids loved walking around the marina and watching all the boats. The condo is updated, very clean, and had everything we needed. James was very responsive with any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back!

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!

Dana and her co Host was amazing we had the best few days of vacation possible in the outer banks 100% recommend Dana’s place we will for sure be back next year and anytime we go to obx !

I had an amazing stay at RUM-D.C.A! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and located in a quiet neighborhood just s seconds from the beach. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated the extra touches and fast Wi-Fi. Dan was very responsive and made check-in a breeze. Highly recommend this Airbnb – I’d absolutely stay here again!

Such a beautiful setting with the water right outside the deck! This was our second time staying and we loved it again! The condo is super clean and comfortable. Publix (grocery) is right down the road and the beach is really close too. There’s great restaurants all around the area. The hosts are very friendly and responsive.

Areca was super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect -- quiet and relaxing, and a great launching point to many of the OBX sites and activities in the nearby area. You'll love this place!

Loved the place. Only suggestion would be have more than 6 towels. Some folks like to use one for hair and one for body. Also, staying for a few days, it would be nice to have a fresh towel after a few days. Other thank that, we loved it!

We were in Manteo for my daughter’s wedding. Staying at the Croatan Cottage made the whole experience that much more special. This house takes you back in time. Sitting on the front porch was relaxing. I loved that it was close to everything. This was our first time using an Airbnb. Dee made it very easy & stress free. I would highly recommend Croatan Cottage & plan to come back soon.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at The Salty Shoebox, they had upgraded the sofas, put in new flooring, and a new granite countertop in the kitchen. Travis was very good, as we had a couple requests while we were there, the requests were taken care of promptly. The location was great, right on the beach.

Enjoyed our stay at Outer Banks very much. Easy 10 min drive to beach and still had the privacy of being off the strip and our own pool. The house was well kept and they were very responsive when did have 1 request. Overall, would highly recommend.

The condo was very charming with new appointments and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoyed sunrise each morning and the sound of the waves crashing each night. The kitchen was well equipped and had sufficient space for the two of us. It was also nice to have both a full and half bath as well as a door between the sink area and toilet/shower in the full bath. Having several options for coffee with espresso, drip, and a Keurig was a big plus A few observations we want to share. It would be very tight to fit 6 people in the place but you could comfortably have two couples or a couple with two kids with the second pair on the sleeper sofa. Overall it was a great stay for our anniversary weekend!!!

A beautiful condo in a beautiful location! The furniture was very comfortable and the condo was fully stocked. The living/dining space was bigger than we expected from the pictures which was a nice surprise. The community was peaceful and had tons of opportunities for walking around.

I booked this location for our 2 year anniversary and it was an incredible stay. The view was perfect and the house was everything we needed for a few days stay. Gene was incredibly kind and even allowed us to check in early which worked out perfectly for us. The listing was just as described and honestly much more head space in the main room than we originally thought. The internet was great which was incredibly useful for our remote work. Couldn't recommend a better stay in the OBX for the price and location.

Rebecca is a great host. We felt right at home and the place is lovely. The entire condo was shining clean. It was a nice touch to have shampoos etc and towels ready. The walk in shower was a delight. The kitchen was well stocked and made it easy to cook. Yes overall the kitchen served our needs. We found the beds to be the best ever and we stay on ObX annually for 40 years!! Definitely great sleep. Thanks for a great week.

What a fantastic location! We loved being right on the beach. Inside the condo was really quiet and it had everything we needed. My kids loved it too and we got to see dolphins from the balcony!

I really appreciated the communication I had with Dave as we definitely walked to the local grill next-door and had an amazing dinner! I thought it was a great location, could see the ocean and sunrises and public access to the beach was just a short walk! It was great. Thanks Dave!

This is our 3rd time staying here! Has a beautiful view, great access to the beach and a nice pool, which is so great to break up the day. We traveled with two adults and two children perfect amount of space. Little dated inside but has everything you need. We come for the location, because it’s so good! As other reviews have said there is a rental above you. We had one night of very late night noise but other than that it was a wonderful stay, we will be coming back!

Amazing location! Clean space with a stunning view. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. We spent a weekend with my husband, 4 year old son and my parents and enjoyed every second. The elevator wasn't working when we were there which was a bit of challenge for my older father since the condo is on the third floor but he managed and the view was worth it :)
