Unusually light and bright three bedroom town house in the heart of historical Domfront. A few minutes walk to the medieval quarter and main town facilities. Pick up your breakfast baguette just a few doors along. Private garden with patio, lawned area and secure garage for car and bikes. Welcome to Gite Des Roses, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. Le Joli Pre @the_little_french_house

Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

“Gîte de Pépé”, townhouse near the castle

“Le gîte de pépé” is a charming little house with an exterior. It has been fully renovated and equipped for you to have a comfortable stay. Ideal for 4, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Located in the small town of Lassay-les-Châteaux, voted 3rd favorite village of the French 2023, you will find a few meters from the medieval castle, all the useful shops as well as the tourist office. Many walks can be taken from the cottage.

A quiet individual home

This stylish place to stay is perfect for couples. It is close to the city center on foot, close to the lake on foot 1.3 km close to shops, close to the Bagnole de l'Orne terminal cure 7 km. Quiet accommodation, very well insulated, on the ground floor, small terrace lined with rose bushes. Minimum bed linen is provided: pillowcases, fitted sheet and mattress. If you wish, missing bed and bath linen for 15 euros.

Enjoy a bright townhouse with the possibility of parking a vehicle in front of the house or in the nearby car park. All shops within walking distance (bakeries, butchers, tobacconists, grocery stores ...see my guide ), bus station and SNCF. Very well equipped accommodation. Flexible hours only upon request except Sundays. Requests for refunds for off-price cancellations are no longer negotiable.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This house was renovated in the porch of a farm dating from 1671 with eco-materials (lime, hemp, wood). Ideally located to visit the Alpes Mancelles (8 km), the Ecouves Forest (5 km) or the charming town of Alençon (10 km). In the countryside, but not far from the village where all the shops and services are located.
