Kid-friendly holiday rentals in River Spey

Great place to stay, at high tide you feel like your right on the firth and at low tide there is a lot of area to walk. It's quite and peaceful, and was the perfect place for me and my family to relax whilst we explored Inverness, Loch Ness and the highlands

Bryce’s home is amazing! The view from the kitchen and living room out the sliding glass doors is gorgeous. We had everything we needed. Also, we had a little bit of an emergency and Bryce was quick to respond and sent someone out to check on us. Our stay couldn’t have been any better.

The Garden Cottage and surrounding area is perfection. It felt like living in a day dream. We had everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing. The views and local markets were excellent. We loved every minute. Truly a dream.

Traumhaftes Airbnb, man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Märchen. Malerische Umgebung, wunderschönes Castle und viel Natur und Ruhe und einen herum. Man hört den Fluss plätschern, wenn man die Fenster öffnet. Einfach das perfekte Airbnb und abzuschalten. Mimi war sehr freundlich und zugänglich und hat uns auch die Umgebung gezeigt und uns Empfehlungen gegeben. Kommunikation war super. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben aber hoffen, dass wir eines Tages wiederkommen können.

We felt welcomed into the space as soon as we walked in. The home was clean, had some games/puzzles to keep us entertained outside of screen time and was close to the areas of interest we had for our trip. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

This is a lovely and spacious cottage with an amazing location! The small village is very relaxing and quiet, just what we were looking for. There are so many different types of landscapes to hike around very close by, marshes, lakes, forests, rocky mountains, heather fields, grassy pastures... The house has A Lot of helpful maps and brochures to pick the perfect route (with options for all abilities) if you have not come prepared. The location is very convenient as in 15-20 min you can reach the main motorway that cuts through the Highlands. It's only a bit more than an hour away from Inverness and about two hours away from Glencoe. Though with the national park at your doorstep you are already spoiled for choice and don't need to go far to enjoy some of the best landscapes in Scotland. Bridie was attentive and easy-going. She provided clear instructions and a lot of suggestions for local activities and amenities. We wish we could live in the cottage forever 😊

The studio is modern and clean and stocked with everything you'd need for a getaway. it's in a beautiful location, quiet and peaceful with stunning views and a short drive from Inverness and local shops. The added welcome items were much appreciated after a long drive. Milk, orange juice, bread, yogurts, cereal, tea, coffee, sugar. I would highly recommend the place and I'm sure we'll be staying again.

Dora was very responsive to our queries and friendly. Her place was better than we expected, very clean, spacious and well stocked. Location is fantastic too, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and we had a great walk in the morning.

Great little stay. In the middle of our trip the option for laundry was awesome. Walking distance to everything you need. The kitchen was nice so we didn’t have to eat out, though there are many options close by. The beaches nearby were beautiful. Would love to go back.

Bellissimo appartamento molto pulito e ordinato. Posizione comoda per il centro città, utilissima la vicinanza al supermercato e possibilità di parcheggiare davanti all' appartamento. L'appartamento è fornito di tutto ciò che serve per sentirsi a casa, anche con bambini piccoli (mia figlia ha adorato la vasca da bagno). Stefano è un ottimo host, molto preciso e reattivo nella comunicazione. Soggiornerei nuovamente nel suo appartamento se dovesse capitare l'occasione

Freda’s place was exactly what we needed to unwind. Lovely, peaceful farm location - close to the picturesque, historical village of Beauly. Freda is a very friendly and generous host. The accommodation is spacious: bedroom, kitchenette (with washing machine & dryer), bedroom (comfy bed), bathroom and a sitting room with comfy couch and table/chairs. Free parking. Freda provides breakfast: cook your own eggs, juice, milk, toast/butter/jam, tea/coffee/biscuits. The microwave was handy for heating our ‘Tesco meal’. Highly recommend Freda’s place. A lovely experience!

Much quieter than listing suggests. Don’t be put off by warning of noise, worst it gets is people walking above and washing machine. Lovely place, clean, tranquil with plenty of storage and well equipped

Very conveniently situated for exploring the city on foot. Large supermarket within easy walking distance and great for exploring further afield.

This property was very clean and cozy! It had all the amenities listed. It also sits in a very quaint location, walkable to a gas station and grocery store for convenience. Jenny was also very flexible and accommodating, despite us changing our check-in time a few times. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here :)

Andrew’s place was a perfect base for a few days of hiking. It is a short walk to the train and bus, and there is a small grocery store even closer. The place was clean and had a nice modern kitchen. After our days of walking in the highlands, we appreciated showers or baths with lots of pressure and hot water. The idea of paying for the heat you use makes some sense too.

Really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was beautifully clean, had everything we needed, very comfortable. Convenient for local amenities and restaurants. Hosts were on hand if needed. Would definitely stay again.

Nous avons un excellent séjour chez Colin, tout était parfait. Logement très sympa, propre et fonctionnel, très bien situé dans quartier résidentiel. Hôte sympathique et réactif. A proximité d'une supérette accessible à pied, très pratique à l'arrivée. Merci pour les explications détaillées et la boîte à clés qui nous ont permis une arrivée facilitée en pleine nuit suite à des retards d'avion. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

The Amazing Place was just that. It had everything we could possible need for a multi-day stay in the area and more. We had an accident with leftover Indian food leaking onto the upholstery of our rented car and lo and behold, there was upholstery cleaner underneath the kitchen sink!! The apartment is very quiet. It has no shared walls with any neighbours, other than the upstairs one, and we rarely heard them. We appreciated that we could do some lovely walks right from the property, without having to always drive. And we appreciated that the whole of Aviemore was within easy walking distance, including the two grocery stores. We stayed in this same complex six years ago so were happy to find Barry’s Amazing Place for this visit.

Tanto Linda como George fueron excelentes anfitriones. Amables, bien predispuestos, en fin: excelentes. En cuanto a la propiedad es muy cómoda y agradable que aporta muchísima paz a quienes allí se hospedan. Sin dudas volvería a visitarlos!

This place was just like the description. The location is very walkable, but out of the busy tourist center so it’s very quiet. Everything I needed was provided, which made the stay very easy. I would stay here again if I visit Inverness again.

Had the most amazing stay at Aldon Lodge, was wowed from the very beginning driving in through the pastures of sheep & lambs. Such a peaceful location that felt so remote and private but not a far drive from town, it’s the best of both worlds. The apartment was so cozy and had some of the most comfortable bedding and pillows I’ve experienced yet. Gorgeous views out of all the windows with light blocking shades if you want to sleep in, this place has every amenity you might need. The host was so helpful and provided very detailed instructions ahead of time so that everything went smoothly. I could have spent my whole vacation just staying inside the apartment and enjoying the area, hope to come back and stay again!
