Townhouse holiday rentals in Richmondshire District

The house was very lovely and all we needed since we were only staying for 3 nights. It was very convenient making it only a few minutes away from all the places we went to.The bed was also comfy and the house had a lovely cozy,homely feel to it.They did provide some mil and biscuits which was very kind.Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

Everything went according to plan. Paul explained the arrangements in advance and it was easy to find, only a short walk from the station. The house had plenty of space for two, was well equipped and was spotlessly clean. The fresh orange juice, milk coffee and prosecco were nice touches. If I were coming back to York by train this would be my first choice.

Myself and two friends stayed at Pam and Julie’s house on a visit back to Sunderland where we studied a LONG time ago. The house was great. It was a good size for the three of us; the bedrooms were clean and tidy, everything was easy to find and the conservatory was great for breakfast as we managed to visit when it was sunny! It is also so quiet! I chose the house as well because it is a good walk along the river/sea to the shops/beach at Seaburn, and only about 20 minutes into town the other way. Communication was excellent before and after our stay. I would certainly recommend the house if staying in Sunderland. (It is also next to the Glass Centre, but be aware that this is due to close (sadly) in 2026.)

What a fantastic place. Dave was a fabulous host,everything explained ,suggestions for places to eat offered, nothing too much trouble.The house is immaculate, very comfortable ,everything provided ,a real home from home.We would definitely recommend it to anyone and Dave we may be back beware lol

Beth was a great host. She communicated very well from the reservation booking, through a few changes in our number of guests, to checking on us during our stay. The home was perfectly located to get to places in Town Centre to visit and to the train station. The house had all we needed. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen for a few family meals together. The dishwasher and the washer/dryer worked well. The beds were warm and comfortable. The bathrooms were designed great for our 7 guests to alternate through. Each bedroom had its own full length mirror and hair dryer, which was very helpful. The neighborhood was very respectful. The nights were completely quiet, allowing us a comfortable night’s sleep and rest to be able to be up and ready for our next day’s activities.

We loved our stay in this beautiful spacious home. So peaceful at night. Minutes from the bus into town which my daughter loved, and having a garden whilst being so close to town was wonderful. It has everything you need including comfy beds. We had a takeaway from the local Indian a five minute walk away which was delicious. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Whistler House for my sister and her husband’s 70th birthdays. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully furnished and had a great location being on the river and a few minutes walk from the City. The cottage was well equipped and the host went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. Highly recommended. Thank you Anna for a lovely stay. We will be back!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay and loved the proximity of restaurants, pubs, and sightseeing. Less than 5 min walk to Rowntree park playground was so helpful for our family traveling with young kids!

Charming old fashioned cottage, right in the heart of York. Very quiet and private. Easy walks to all attractions. The house was clean and all amenities well maintained, loved the bedroom so cosy and pretty. The bed very comfortable. Highly recommended s stay here. We would certainly stay here again 🌟

We had an amazing weekend stay at Laura’s place. The location is absolutely perfect for getting into York city centre, with the river being a 2 minute walk from the front door. Despite this the surroundings were really peaceful! The house was spotless and met our needs very well. It was beautifully presented and Laura left a very generous food welcome package that went down very well! Our only comment is the bedrooms were really hot so a fan would’ve been handy- however this is definitely because we were there on the hottest day of the year so to be expected! Would definitely recommend Laura’s place to anyone looking for a weekend away in York.

We had the most incredible time here, the property was immaculate and the decor was amazing. It was so homely and the refreshments left for us was such a lovely touch, couldn’t stayed there forever! There was so much to do around we didn’t get through it all so cannot wait to come back and stay again.

The Annex was lovely ! It was a spot me and my friends all enjoyed. We were visiting a friend who lives more in the centre of Kendal , so the Annex was a really good location as we only needed to walk 20-15 minutes to get into town. It is also very reasonable priced considering all the amenities you get (the ensuite bathrooms being my favourite )

Absolute wonderful home, 1 mins walk from restaurants and pubs, very quiet, parking permit. We have now found a new place for a long weekend, holidays permitting we will definitely be back this year....👍

Lovely, traditional terraced house in a fabulous location. Walking distance to great restaurants and pubs. Spotlessly clean and lovely comfortable beds. Jackie was very helpful and friendly.

We loved this place! It was such a great location… right by the city center and the city walls. Good amenities around it. Clare was an amazing host and provided the best local recommendations. The Airbnb was super roomy. Wish our stay was longer!

Great place. Good location and very quiet even though its right next to the main road. Right next to the bus stop and shop. Good space inside. Was very cold at first, but the Jeannette sorted it out 😊 Recommended!

This was the best accommodation experience during our trip to the UK. The landlord was very friendly and, knowing that we had a lot of luggage, allowed us to check in early and check out late. The house was very well designed and really caught the eye. There were small gifts from the landlord in the living room. In short, it was a wonderful accommodation experience.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights and had a great experience overall. The apartment was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and was a short walk from the town centre. Wendy was very easy to reach throughout our stay and even went out of her way to offer us early check in and late check out. We couldn't have found a better apartment in Lancaster and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place here.

Great overnight stay on the way to Headingly for a test match. Easy to find, good instructions. Kiran was very responsive. Walked to nearby restaurant. It was a very warm evening which meant we had the windows open. This did account for some road noise for the downstairs bedroom, but all in all a really good experience. Thank you.
