Fine little cabin 40 sqm with a good kitchen, bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom queen size bed (and baby crib). Attic with mattresses for 4. Living room with a sleeping couch for 2. (Sleeping place for 6 good friends.) Good cabin to stay in, warm and cosy. Good to have as a base because there is short drive to Reykjavik(80 km), south and west side of Iceland. My place is close to The Golden Circle and the Highlands. The place has picturesque view. You can see Hekla, Eyjafjallajökul, Langjökull through the windows of the cottage. Closed to the cottage is Skálholt church, one of Iceland´s most important historic sites. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the kitchen, the hot tub. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Only 2 km to Health service. If you have back problems we have a soft mattress for you.

Our newly renovated cottage is in the centre of the golden circle overlooking the Tungufljót river. There are spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers from the house. The house is a perfect base from which to explore the fantastic sights the golden circle and the surrounding area has to offer. All the main attractions such as Geysir (less than 10 mins drive), Gullfoss (under 20 min) and Thingvellir (about 40 min) are easy to get to from the cottage.

I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was here, and how above and beyond the hosts went. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a beautiful, private getaway. Seeing how pretty the place looked in the pictures, I booked this spot to bring my fiancé to after proposing to her on the south coast. The hosts were kind enough to pick up decorations that I ordered from a nearby post office, and decorate the place beautifully well in time before I brought her there. They were extremely communicative in the weeks leading up to my stay, and put so much time, care, and attention to detail into the decorations while asking for nothing in return. In addition, the place was absolutely spotless and clean throughout. If you're looking for a serene stay with stunning views, cleaned to the highest standard, with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, this is your place.

Loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was toasty warm with lovely outlooks and space yo relax while still feeling part of the beautiful scenery. The house was well equipped. The host was very responsive when we needed some help to work the hot tub.

Gorgeous, warm and welcoming home. Loved taking my shoes off to the underfloor heating and coming in on a cold day. The views were amazing especially from the hot tub and from inside some beautiful sun rises (luckily at this time of year 8.00 +) Well equipped kitchen and bathroom with plenty of natural light. Great location for travelling. Especially close to Kerid crater, gullfoss and the geysir and secret Lagoon. Definitely suit a family of younger children with the swings, trampoline and space to run about (mines are too cool to do that now)
