We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You will be able to observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions, you can contact them at any time. He took us to change money, showed us where the best places to dine were and organized all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including a great seafood barbecue. The house is very well located: only a short walk to the beach and all restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

We had a very comfortable stay only 5 min walk away from the stunning Hiriketiya beach. Strongly recommend getting breakfast from the hosts it is delicious and authentic for an unbeatable price. Thank you again for the hospitality, we felt very welcome.

Such a gorgeous place, the photo's don't do it justice. Set inside the most gorgeous little walled jungle garden. We loved it and would have been pleased to stay for longer. "Uncle" was such a lovely man and made us feel really welcome :-)

We were lucky and were able to check in early. I was sent all the information I needed on a w***e. Upon arrival, we were met by Guyan and Irish. Irish was very kind, we saw him every day when he came to clean the area. Having a pool is an absolute plus in this villa. We bathed in it both morning and evening. The sea is a 3-minute walk. At this time, it is not crowded and almost all the beaches are not crowded. It is better to move around the tangalle by bike to visit various beaches and cafes. We walked from the villa to a lovely restaurant in 10 minutes. In general, we did not regret it at all and remembered this villa for the rest of the trip.

This is an extremely cozy house! It is located a little bit deep from the main roads, so it is silence and calm here. I enjoyed here with birds, palms, nature sounds. I was surprised with small quantity of mosquitos here, but for your safety hosts provide you with mosquito net. Oh, God, how it's wonderful to sleep with open doors and windows here - it's smell, sounds..perfect! And to be honest I even didn't use a fan during night's, because the temperature was absolutely comfortable. The villa has rather good WiFi and if you are a remote worker it will suite to you (the day temperature is also good when you open windows and use fan, there is no necessity in AC). Hosts are absolutely cute and caring about you! But villa is located rather far from any shops and beaches (apr. 10 min by bike) - so bike or tuktuk are absolutely necessary here, and there is not a problem to reach this location. Having traveled the entire coast from Galle, I do not want to change this place of living.

This is a beautiful spacious property in a fabulous location with a sea view to die for. We were a little concerned as not many reviews, but this is often let as 2 homes together. Alexander was swift to respond and communicate this to us. Sam was always responsive and Dinesh was always on hand to look after us. The dogs are very friendly and absolutely no trouble at all. We already love this area in Sri Lanka, and loved it even more staying here.

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

This was my second stint at Osman’s airbnb and same as the first period - everything was great. It’s well-equipped for short or long (in my case) stays. He (and is his family) are also incredible hosts. I felt very safe in the area, cared for by the hosts, and really enjoyed my time here. Look forward to coming back!

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

M house is absolute paradise. A sanctuary of serenity and architectural beauty. It is meticulously clean and well looked after by friendly and diligent staff. Elegant and delicious food punctuates the day and when it’s time for bed your sheets have been turned down with flowers resting on your pillow. Mawella beach is long and gorgeous- and a great place to take an evening stroll. The manager Hasita will see to your every need.

2nd time we’ve stayed at the apartment, but first while Andy has owned it. Andy has improved the place greatly and all works well and comfortable. 5 min walk to Hiri beach and 10 Dickwella beach. Perfect for various restaurants. Would certainly go back.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

Super cute place, perfect location. Little thoughtful decorations everywhere, the pool is so clean. We’ve stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are all really helpful, very protective of their guests and helped organize some activities for us, very good communication throughout. Hope to be back soon.

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

We LOVED our stay at Hiriketiya Studios. Nishan was such an incredible host—he went far above and beyond in his hospitality. The place itself is lovely and peaceful with a gorgeous pool and high quality kitchen equipment for cooking. Location wise, it’s in a perfect spot, totally walkable to Hiriketiya or Dickwella beach, cute cafes, big grocery store, and even to snorkeling with turtles.

Chamila is a super host. We felt his place was a home away from home. After reaching his property, his wife helped us carry our bags to our room. Since Chamila stays on the property, it helped us settle in quickly. We were staying on the first floor, while Chamila and his family were staying on the ground floor. We liked his property so much that we extended our stay by one more day. While leaving, Chamila carried our bags from our room to the taxi

The villa is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the idylic Mawella beach. We loved the open air living space that flows into the garden so the kids could hop out of the pool, eat some food, watch TV or play in the communal space and the adults could still relax on the bean bags or in the pool and not have to move too far or worry what the kids were up to! The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are big and comfortable. There's a few small 'shops' within a 5-10 minute walk for essentials but be sure to stock up for convennience. The villa manager, Chamara, is more than happy to help if you ask them in advance and they can head to a larger supermarket for you. Get the number of a tuk tuk so you can order to the villa if you want to head further afield. Chamara came to the villa and cooked breakfast each morning which was great. Again, you need to order in advance which is easy as you can always reach on messages or call. Overall a great stay, Mawella beach is dreamy.

We were hosted by Rohan. It was one of the best experiences. Rohan is very-cooperative and extremely helpful. He helped us with grocery items and even helped us with Dinner at 2am. He ensured making us comfortable and helped with whatever he could. The place is also huge, pretty and recommended for a group of friends. There is also a beach access directly from the villa.

Had a wonderful experience

We were four friends travelling together and spent 9 nights at Anjana's. The rooms were immaculate, the beds so comfortable and the location great - quiet and peaceful garden with monkeys and birds yet close to the beach. Indika cooked for us whenever we requested and the food was absolutely delicious. Anjana was quick to respond and always helpful with whatever information we needed . Harshan was our driver for the whole of our stay and made our overall experience such a pleasure, taking us to Bundela Reserve at 5.00 and most mornings pick up by tuktuk at 6.30 to the beach before the day grew too hot, back in the evenings to Happy House and out again, always so willing and helpful but never intrusive - a true gentleman. He even took my broken glasses home to repair. Overall our experience at Happy House was a pure delight and it was lovely to meet Anjana and Indika's beautiful family. We were sad to leave but will always remember the open hearted kindness and generosity of everone

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Airbnb Host Ever! Mohan is, without a doubt, the best host we’ve ever had in our Airbnb experience. From the moment we arrived, her wife welcomed us with warmth and kindness that is rare to find nowadays. He not only invited me and my wife to his home for a dinner but also ensured we felt like part of his family. His energetic and adorable son, Tharoon, along with his wife and other family members, truly won our hearts with their incredible hospitality. What touched us the most was Mohan’s kindness even at our departure—he came all the way to the railway station just to say goodbye. Moments like these that remind us how beautiful human connections can be. In my language (Bangla), "Mohan" means "Great." And our host Mohan is truly a man with the greatest heart. In a world that often feels cold and indifferent, people like Mohan remind us that kindness still exists. We need more Mohans in this world! Highly recommended!!!

What a wonderful place! My friend and I could not have been happier. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and mosquito net. The bathroom was spotless; plenty of hot water with a good pressure shower. Upstairs was a beautiful terrace where we spent lots of time, overlooking the gorgeous garden. Everything about the place was of the highest quality and chosen with care . The location was great. We went for long walks and watched the sunset on the beach where turtles come ashore. But, above all, it was our host who made our stay so wonderful. She was endlessly kind and helpful and also a wonderful cook. We had the most sumptuous breakfasts and dinners. I cannot thank her enough!

The highlights of our stay at Machan Villa were the surroundings and our hosts, Yasith and Soma. We spent a lot of time on the property, enjoying the pool area and beautiful gardens. The property is very private and borders "the jungle" so there was lots of animal life( birds-peacocks, monkeys, lizards). The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen could use some upgrading. There is no microwave and the barbeque and some appliances are looking pretty worn. Yasith and Soma were excellent hosts. They provided wonderful breakfasts every morning ( we did not need lunch!) and cooked great seafood dinners. They took great care of the grounds, pool and house while we were there. They also provided transportation and offered to book tours for us if we wished. We hope to return to the Villa some day!

We had a lovely stay in the Ocean cottage! We really appreciated the pool, sunbeds and view! It was a really peaceful and calm surrounding. The bedrooms were spacious and clean and a smaller kitchen and dining area and also very friendly caretakers. We didn’t get the private chef but had good restaurants near by!
