Jameson Creek Cottage - Gated Community

KatrinaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Sally’s place is the perfect place for a couple or family stay. She went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable. She even coordinated an extra pack’n’play for our sweet twins. The place was clean, well-stocked, and in a private (gated) community. We would love to rent here again. Thanks for the wonderful stay, Sally!

The property is beautifully located, clean and well maintained. It’s very close to the Avenue of Giants. Elaina was very easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Holistic Haven An Organic Luxury & Spa Experience

SarahRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A beautiful spot to land in a rugged landscape. I appreciate how Laura was communicative and present if needed, but gave lots of space for us to enjoy the quiet solitude. I enjoyed a peaceful evening viewing the moon and stars from the soaking tub. It’s a great town, too—really enjoyed the friendly people and delicious food.

Retreat in the Cove

erinRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We so enjoyed staying at Lance’s. It was clean and comfy. We loved the decor with lots of local art. We liked seeing deer and foxes in the backyard and hearing the seals bark all day. We were in the clouds/fog most of our stay so didn’t see the ocean as much as we had wanted. Shelter Cove is a 5 minute drive away. We enjoyed watching the seals. We had great food at Gyppo Ale Mill and Black Sands Beach was incredible-we wished we had checked it out sooner during our stay. Shelter Cove General Store was also 5 minutes away for groceries. Highly recommend Lance’s beautiful place.

The House truck on river farm

SukiRating, 5 starstoday
Kirsten and community were both welcoming and supportive of spaciousness, allowing real rest and ready conversation as you like it. The summer kitchen is a delightful hub and the bath garden is an immersive getaway. The tiny home is not just whimsical but historic, and you can learn a ton about the the home build movement from the cabin book shelf, within plucking distance from the front porch cantilevered over the truck cab. Only a few perplexed looks from the llamas as I chillaxed up there. Bring your scissors for minus tide seaweed harvesting at Mattole Beach (or sleep through it like I did in the not tiny at all sleeping loft), a comfy towel for the river hang, and a notebook if you, like me, are unable to remember all the names of the animals large, small, flocked and shorn, at this laid-back farm.

The Lost Butte Treehouse Sanctuary

RosaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A peaceful, adventurous retreat in the trees! This cozy treehouse was the perfect off-the-grid escape—rustic yet thoughtfully appointed, with stunning mountain views and total tranquility. The drive in was thrilling (definitely 4WD territory) and set the tone for a stay that felt far from ordinary. The space was just right for me and two teens, with comfy beds, quality linens, a sweet little kitchen, and an incredible deck to take in the scenery. The outdoor shower was a fun touch, and the nearby toilet was easy to access. Best of all, the hosts were super responsive and gave clear directions that made finding this hidden gem a breeze. Can’t wait to return for a longer unplugged stay.
