This completely renovated, cozy cabin in the Upper Valley is the perfect location to reconnect and rejuvenate with family and friends while enjoying all of the sights and sounds that Red River, NM has to offer. Nestled with it's back into the Carson National Forest, Carpe de Inn is the perfect place to relax on the large, wrap-around patio while listening to the roaring Red River or go hiking up the mountain right out the back door. LOCATION: Carpe de Inn is located approximately 4 miles outside of Red River, NM, in the Upper Valley. AMENITIES: The entire cabin has been renovated to meet the needs of the 21st century family with all of the modern staples that many families come to expect and enjoy. Fiber internet has been installed for easy wi-fi connections, and 4 TVs are connected to provide the latest in internet movies and stations. Each room has been meticulously decorated with a cozy, modern, yet livable feel of a New Mexico inspired escape. All appliances, fixtures, plumbing, lighting, flooring, walls, furniture has been updated, as we took the cabin "to the studs" in 2020. A new tankless water heater provides endless hot showers while doing laundry and dishes. LIVING: Carpe de Inn's living area provides a place to unwind and relax after a day of fishing, hiking, shopping, skiing or whatever adventure you find yourself enjoying. The living area is furnished with a 2 sofas and a recliner around a wood burning fireplace. There is H-D Smart Roku TV with access to your favorite streaming shows, as well as a selection of family card/board games. KITCHEN & DINING: Carpe de Inn’s kitchen is fully stocked and includes everything you need to cook for a family. It features a range cook-top and oven, dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans, Crockpot, Airfryer, griddle, toaster, coffee pot, Keurig and much more! Whether you are fixing a light meal or a full family dinner, you will find everything you need! Sit down to eat at the dining table or the picnic table outside. BED & BATH: We have 3 private bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. Each bedroom features blackout curtains and new ceiling fans. The downstairs king bedroom has a new memory foam mattress. The hall bathroom has a tub/shower combo, with a full vanity and toilet. The bathroom upstairs has a stand-up shower with a full vanity and toilet. LAUNDRY: Carpe de Inn comes equipped with a washer/dryer center for your convenience. HE detergent and dryer sheets are provided. PARKING: In addition to driveway parking, the circle drive provides enough space for 3-4 vehicles or a trailer carrying all your favorite mountain toys. NOTE: The last mile of the drive is via dirt roads. Cars and sedans will have no issues accessing the cabin during warm weather months. However, all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles and snow chains may be needed during winter months.Winter weather in New Mexico can be unpredictable, so please prepare accordingly. OTHER SPACES & FEATURES Front Deck – 4 Adirondack chairs, Table and chairs Side Deck – Picnic dining table, Grill, Adirondack rocking chairs, as well as a full set of comfortable seating. Fire Pit (must follow local fire restrictions when in place) Weber Propane Grill (Must clean after usage) WHAT WE PROVIDE: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods (starter set), hand soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, K-Cups (starter set), coffee filters, linens and bath towels, and kitchen cookware. Fire pit, corn hole boards, S'more sticks, tons of family friendly board games, DVD player with classic movies. Hosts are available 24 hours a day to answer questions and assist but will not bother you during your stay. HEATING: The cabin is heated by gas, and has a new heating system throughout the house. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan for extra air-flow if desired. The wood burning fireplace with blower can heat the entire cabin in minutes if desired. SECURITY & SAFETY: Security cameras (video only) monitor exterior windows and doors of the property. They provide added security for the safety of our guests, and allow us to monitor road conditions during the winter months to ensure they are snow plowed when needed. HOUSE RULES: Breaking any of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy and will result in loss of security deposit and any additional fees. - Have FUN and enjoy your stay! - Maximum occupancy is 12 individuals, no unregistered guests are allowed The following are strictly prohibited: Smoking of any kind anywhere on the property Pets Parties, events, and large gatherings Disturbing neighbors and/or neighboring properties Flushing anything other than toilet paper Putting food or other waste in the kitchen sink drain Guests are responsible for: Safety and security of children at all times Disposing of garbage in designated brown dumpsters in town Only using firewood and fire starters in the fireplace Safely grilling in the designated location on the northside of the patio Utilizing the designated fire ring for campfires Obeying local fire restrictions ENTRY: To access Carpe de Inn, you will use a convenient, secure smart-lock system (controlled with your phone or keypad). No waiting on people or keys! CHECK-IN: 3 PM or after on the day of arrival. CHECK-OUT: 10 AM or earlier on the day of departure.

Cabin 6 is our most popular unit. With wood log walls inside it's about 900 sq. ft and sleeps up to 5 people. It's got a full size fridge, gas stove, microwave and a full set of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There's a wood burning stove plus gas and electric heaters. It has a large foyer/entryway for all your outdoor gear. The patio out back offers unobstructed views to the lake, while the log bench out front is a perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset over Wheeler Peak, NM's tallest.

Dear guest, I work hard to make this like a home-away from home. Big porch in front and back, front gets a bit of sun.
