Staying at Nihal’s Mudhouse was an absolute dream. From the moment I arrived he took such good care of me and hosted me so well. The place was spotless, my room had the most beautiful mountain views and the sunlight streaming in made it feel even cozier. Nihal personally showed me around and took me to places I would have never found on my own, hidden spots, truly local places that made me see Dharamshala in a whole new way. I’ve completely fallen in love, not just with this space but with Dharamshala itself. There’s so much beauty here in the place and the people. I honestly never wanted to leave. I’ll be back again and again and again I think, I am crying even writing and reliving it again.

Sundeep's place is just as described. Photos don't do justice to the place. Away from the crowd. At the periphery of the Naddi village. Right on motorable road. 3 rooms are connected. One has separate entry from outside. House helps - Joginder and his wife - outstanding people. Punctual and respectful. Accomodating. Invited us for a tea at their place. Went out of their way to show us the trail to view point in the nearby village of Kharota. Commander Sundeep is responsive and accommodating. The place can use a little upkeep (eg plumbing, blanket covers etc) to be more attractive, but there was nothing that affected our stay. We enjoyed our peaceful stay. I'd recommend to those who are looking for an easy going stay with walkable areas.

A warm and welcoming stay! Vijay’s family( the actual host), especially his mother and his wife Nittu, made us feel truly at home. Praveen was extremely efficient and helpful. Some suggestions to improve the experience: Power backup and AC are essential.The coolers provided are useless in the humid weather.we were without electricity for few hours in this hot season of dharamshala Exhaust fan in washroom is needed. Fan in the outdoor area for comfort. Kitchen needs better equipment. Beds and mattresses could be more comfortable. Add almirah and suitcase space in rooms. With a few upgrades, this lovely place can be even more enjoyable!

We had the most wonderful stay at Himalayan Oak Mudhouse. Gagan is a great host, very kind and helpful, we had some great chats with him in the garden. The house is situated among beautiful pastures, with huge boulders, grass, cows grazing and honestly unbelievable views. It is very quiet and serene. Gagan kindly set up a fire pit for us each night, on which with toasted marshmallows and enjoyed the stars on clear nights. There were three of us staying, two in the double room and one in the twin. The single beds are a little hard, so worth bearing that in mind if one of has a bad back, but it didn’t dampen our experience at all. The two lovely ladies cook the tastiest Indian food and are so friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, thank you so much.
