Centrally located to many State Parks including Pipestem, Bluestone, Beartown, and Watoga and the New River Gorge National Park all within 45 minutes and 25 minutes to Greenbrier River Trail. In the town of Alderson, home to West Virginia’s largest July 4th celebration. 5 minutes or less to Dollar Stores, convenience, gas, local shops and Subway. Kroger and Ollies are just 20 minutes.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Our place is on a little dirt road with a beautiful view of the sun rising over the mountains and horses grazing in the field. Off the main road approximately 1/10 of a mile with no traffic in front of the house. Beautiful backyard with a fire pit and grill, also corn hole for outdoor fun. No nosy neighbors, but the sound of children playing nearby. Just minutes away from rafting, mountain climbing and new river gorge

Granny's shack- 5 miles from Babcock state park

Remote but accessible small cozy family home/cabin with 2-bedroom and 1 bath. 2 twin beds, 1 queen, and 1 pull out couch. Quiet and peaceful with woods surrounding area on 2 acres. House was built in the 1960's but some renovations have been done on the inside. Near route 60 off of old route 41. Located 5 miles from Babcock state park, 15 miles from New River Gorge Bridge, and 2 miles from Clifftop. This is a weekend getaway for our family, we do not live on the premises.

When visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, stay at this quaint stone cottage less than a mile off of Route 19 in downtown Oak Hill, WV. Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.

We are minutes away from many of the major attractions in the area including: rafting companies (i.e. ACE and Adventures on the Gorge, and River Expeditions), hiking, shops, and restaurants. We are located within the city of Oak Hill so no crazy backroads or surprises : ) Relax on our back porch, around the firepit, or inside in the air conditioning after a great day of having fun!
