Open slowly the door house and take few steps in.. immediately, right in front of you, a wonderful view will catch your look. The house is placed in an area surrounded by an incredible natural framework, a perfect place for a family, a couple or even a single person to relax and restore. Furthermore it is also set in a strategical position since Lugano city and Lake Como attractions are just 20/25min driving from the house.
“We really liked Mattia and Elisabetta. Especially the location of the cottage is fantastic: in the middle of Puria, an ancient, small Berdorf, where practically every house enjoys a wonderful lake view. We were there at the end of October, the weather was bad, but being in the middle of nature, that did not matter. If we did not hike, we collected and cooked chestnuts, observed fire salamanders, watched or read Netflix. We also completed a great pizza course in Como (booked via AirBnB at Umberto, highly recommended!). Puria is still quite alive, there is a small shop 20 meters from the house, where you get everything (except oatmeal), which is a huge relief, otherwise you have to drive down endless serpentines to the lakeshore and then from there again 15 Minutes to Porlezza needs to shop in a supermarket. On the other hand, a living village also means that it is not deathly quiet; the neighbor on the left repairs Vespas, the neighbor below (a locksmith?) likes to use his angle grinder outdoors. But you have as good as no traffic noise, because through the narrow streets fit a maximum of a Fiat 500 or a moped. You can not hear the roads in the valley, only the mountain stream rushes in the gorge to the right. The house feels more like a small apartment, because you are only on one floor. The lower floor seems to me to be a shell, which can be used as a temporary terrace. But it was already too cold for us. The bedroom has a huge wardrobe, which nobody needs, but the beds are the smaller: only 1.90 m long, which for me as an adult a bit too short. Besides, they squeaked horribly. You do not have a view from there. The sofa in the living-dining area can be folded out and the room can be darkened with shutters. As a family you can cope with the small size of the apartment, as long as the weather is good. I do not want to have to spend three days of rain at one go with two children in this flat, she is too small for that. The kitchen is relatively well stocked, if not rich. If you want to cook something more elaborate, you have to improvise. The decor of the apartment was a bit old, but you do not pay much rent. I hope Mattia keeps his promise and buys a new sofa bed;). The one we slept on squeaked horribly and we were afraid that she would fall apart when she collapsed. The view and the location makes up for a lot! You can actually walk right in the village, the view of the lake is really great and the south facing you have the sun all day (as long as it shines, which is very welcome at least in spring and fall). Our most beautiful experiences: - the view from the "Hausberg" (Alpe Mapel) - the pizza-baking course at Umberto - Deer watching with binoculars on Lago Piano near Porlezza - the constant changing of the panorama through clouds, sun and rain”
Hi there! A few information regarding my studio: It is situated in a residential quarter of Lugano (580m) named Aldesago, with free WiFi. Public parking spaces are available nearby free of charge. The apartment also comes with a small kitchen, a TV and a third bed. In addition, it features a bathroom with a small bathtub. The building provides a washing machine, an iron and a tumbler dryer, working with coins.
“Council to visit Bre '- Aldesago really lovely ... live immersed in a crib. The accommodation is equipped with all comforts. Very friendly and helpful host.”
Beautiful mountain cottage located in the center of a wonderful village at 1,000 m above sea level in the Lugano region, in Ticino Canton. Ideal for those seeking relaxation and tranquility or for lovers of trekking and mountain biking, thanks to the splendid passages or for the bikes that surround the wonderful Val Glue. The cottage offers a double bedroom, a lounge with a double sofa bed, a kitchen and an outdoor area with a garden.
“This little gem of a place offers everything you need for a recharging stay not too far from the buzzing city: a nicely equipped kitchen, handy wood pellet oven for cozy warmth on chilly days, a good shower with strong water pressure and nice heat (people who travel a lot will appreciate this point :-)) and spacious living facilities. The house was super clean and there were towels and even spare blankets and pillows to use, spare toilet paper, a hair drier... simply all you could possibly need. The only minus point is that the power outlets are sparse and in weird positions - but it is a old house, so this has to be expected. Nevertheless you will always be able to charge your appliances. Communication with the hosts was easy and friendly, and they replied to my questions super fast. Ask for hiking suggestions, since this is the spot to book for some wonderful outdoor time in Ticino. Contrary to one previous comment, the house is very easy to reach by public transport (I travelled via Lugano to Tesserete station and then to Scareglia Paese). Then a couple of stairs up through the village and you are there in less than a minute from the bus stop. I can nothing but recommend this place and hope to return soon for some more hiking in the area!”
