Great accommodations! Close to beautiful beach

Oldemar a rendu notre séjour parfait! Son sourire et sa gentillesse effacent les quelques gouttes de pluie à notre arrivée. Le logement est impeccable, la cuisine très bien équipée et la vue sur la forêt est magnifique. La literie est très bonne. La climatisation efficace. Oldemar nous a réservé la sortie au Corcovado, à l’île Caño et notre transfert bateau à la fin de notre randonnée à San Josecito. Les organismes choisis sont de qualité à chaque fois.

A wonderful stay! :) Linda is a very gracious and friendly host, she even came to meet me at the bus station! The accommodation was absolutely spotless, really close to the supermarket and the beach, and felt super safe and comfortable. 100% recommend!

Kurz knapp: absolute Empfehlung. Wir haben uns ab der ersten Sekunde sehr wohl gefühlt, das Haus hat alles was man braucht um ein paar schöne Tage zu verbringen. Die Kommunikation und die Empfehlungen von Jenny waren klasse. Und ich mochte den Grundriss und die Art des Hauses sehr! Ihr habt ein tolles airbnb ❣️

Wir waren leider nur kurz da, aber die Unterkunft ist sehr cool! Aussicht top und sehr Nahe am Strand, Restaurants usw.! Vincent war super nett, hilfsbereit und sehr flexibel! Wir würden jederzeit sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

Blanca du bist die beste. Vielen Dank für deine Gastfreundschaft. Eine super schöne Umgebung direkt am Strand umgeben vom Dschungel. Ein kleiner Nachteil, man kann nicht mit dem Auto direkt zur Unterkunft Vorfahren, sondern muss noch ca 15 Minuten zu Fuss am Strand entlang laufen. Aber keine Sorge, Blanca unterstützt dich mit Ihrem Quat und fährt das ganze Gepäck und alles was du sonst noch hast in die Unterkunft. Sie kocht sehr sehr gut und organisiert auch Touren für dich. Wir hatten die Tour zur Insel Caño zum Schnorcheln und es war wunderschön ( Schildkröten, Delfine, Mantas, Stachelrochen und viele bunte Fische) Liebe Grüsse Blanca, wir kommen wieder ( vielleicht schon im August 😊) Roger und Pamela

Raquel's place was fantastic!! Big beautiful house, AC worked great in the room and having the pool was a huge plus! It was so awesome to jump in there after a long hot day exploring Corcovado. The surroundings are beautiful and you can catch a great sunset from the upper deck as well as check out all kinds of cool birds in the morning. Raquel and her brother are super nice and responsive. She even booked our tour to the national park for us. Highly recommend!

Wir haben die Tage bei Keyla sehr genossen. die Unterkunft ist absolut perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in Puerto Jiménez. Etwas abgelegen der Hauptstraße und fußläufig zu allen wichtigen Orten und Restaurants. Die Waschmaschine in der Unterkunft ist ein Segen, vor allem nach einem Ausflug in den Corcovado NP. Vielen Dank!

All of the reviews are correct - Nichole and Mario are the best hosts you’ll ever encounter. I booked this airbnb months in advance and right away Nichole reached out with suggestions on the best way to navigate travel to DB. She worked with a company in Sierpe to arrange a private boat ride to snorkel at Caño Island with lunch included and then for us to be dropped off directly onto the beach in Drake Bay where we were greeted by Mario who helped us carry our bags to the house. Our rental car was perfectly fine in Sierpe and we didn’t need it to get around Drake bay - everything is within two blocks. We couldn’t believe how amazing just the transport was, and how out of their way these hosts went to make that happen. Best part of an unbelievable 8 days.

We stayed here for one week during our two week honeymoon. Drake bay appealed to us because of Corcovado and unspoiled natural surroundings of the Drake Bay Area. The Airbnb is in a fantastic location, situated just outside of Drake Bay. It felt very private, right on the beach. The property is beautiful, we loved being visited by scarlet macaws and white face monkeys. Our host, Alexis, was absolutely phenomenal. She helped with all our tour bookings, local recommendations and checking in each day to see if we needed anything. Alexis went above and beyond, and was the best host we’ve ever encountered. I would highly recommend staying at La Joyita, it’s a little piece of paradise that we will remember forever.

We had a great stay in Puerto Jimenez at Carlos and Sharon’s place. The place was clean and as advertised. Carlos and Sharon were very attentive and gave us some good recommendations for local restaurants. With three bedrooms, the value of this place is unbeatable! One thing to note is that it does get quite hot, and there is only air conditioning in one of the three rooms. This wasn’t an issue at all for us, but for people who can’t sleep in warm temperatures should keep this in mind. Thank you Carlos and Sharon for a great stay in PJ!

We stayed at Diana's for one night before an early morning trip to Corcovado - the place is perfect, easy to get to and walkable from all local shops and the dock. Diana also let us keep our car safely locked up at the property until after we had checked out, so we could pick it up after the tour! would definitely recommend

Todo excelente! don Melvin es una persona súper atenta,amable y servicial, incluso nos ayudó con nuestro vehículo averiado a remolcarlo,revisarlo y demás…. Sin palabras para el trato que recibimos tanto por el como por la gente de la zona, Súper atento con todo lo requerido y siempre de una manera muy amable En cuanto al lugar, un paraíso escondido Instalaciones preciosas y muy equipadas,todo en perfecto estado y funcionamiento….

Review for Airbnb (in English): The accommodation is in a fantastic location for anyone looking to disconnect, explore the area, and observe exotic wildlife. On the property alone, we saw monkeys, macaws, tubercle hokkos, wild pigs, a basilisk lizard, giant butterflies, a hummingbird, leafcutter ants, and even a rhinoceros beetle. In the surrounding area, there’s even more to discover, like toucans. The house is functional and well-equipped— everything we needed was provided. One surprise was the nocturnal raids by raccoons, which we hadn’t anticipated. After we blocked the cabinet and fridge with chairs, they left us alone. In the end, it’s a funny story we’ll laugh about for years! We had a wonderful time in this little paradise and would highly recommend it to nature lovers.
