Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Province of Parma

As others have said—all of the reviews are spot on! A unique setting in the countryside about 30 minutes drive to Parma on mountain roads, beautiful historic building and grounds (with tastefully updated bathrooms to go with the historic charm, plus even a clothes washer and dryer you can access, a rarity in Italy), and a consummate host in Maria Teresa. Using her knowledge and connections to get personalized tours of smaller local parmigiano and prosciutto factories was a real highlight, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Torrechiara castle as well. The kids loved her animals too. 10/10 stay!

Unser Familienurlaub (4 Personen) an diesem Ort war ein absoluter Traum und in Wirklichkeit noch viel beeindruckender als auf den Fotos. Das gesamte Anwesen ist makellos sauber und strahlt eine wunderbare, friedliche Atmosphäre aus. Für unsere Kinder und uns war der Pool vor der atemberaubenden Bergkulisse das tägliche Highlight – ein perfekter Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Die Lage ist fantastisch, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und gleichzeitig aktiv zu sein. Wir haben die Gegend auf mehreren wunderschönen Wandertouren erkundet. Was den Aufenthalt aber wirklich besonders macht, sind die Gastgeber: Chris und Joanna sind unglaublich warmherzig und hilfsbereit. Ihre Gastfreundschaft ist außergewöhnlich. Wir können diesen Ort nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Fausta e Andrea hanno messo a nostra disposizione ogni comodità e addirittura ci hanno accolto con un dolce preparato da Fausta! L'appartamento è pulitissimo, fornitissimo (soprattutto la cucina) e molto ampio. Fausta è super gentile e ospitale. Consigliatissimo.

You can pick fresh veggies and cherries straight from the garden—yes, they taste as good as they sound. The kitchen’s got everything you need (and bonus points for the charming red tablecloths). The house is spacious, the view is unreal. One spontaneous 5am wake-up turned into a front-row seat to the most unforgettable sunrise. Only regret? Not staying longer.

beautiful place at a very affordable rate. takes a while to get to but worth the drive if you want to see those Tuscan hills. not much in the area so it's purely for relaxation. friendly and thoughtful hosts.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Martina et sa famille ! Ils ont été incroyablement gentils et serviables tout au long de notre visite. Nous avons même pu accéder au logement dès le matin, ce qui a été un vrai plus avec les enfants. La maison était très propre et fidèle à la description, rien ne manquait. Elle est parfaitement adaptée aux familles : mes enfants ont adoré jouer dans le grand jardin, très agréable et sécurisé, parfait aussi pour se détendre. Et que dire de Léo, le chien de la maison... Un vrai coup de cœur ! Il a presque fait du baby-sitting pour nos enfants — si gentil, doux et intelligent. ❤️ Merci encore à Martina pour son accueil si attentionné. Un lieu parfait pour les familles — je ne peux que le recommander.

Really lovely place, we felt right at home. Elena was always very responsive and helpful with everything, check-in and out was easy. Internet was fast and reliable with decent workspaces. We really appreciated the little details of having things like oil and herbs, etc, to use in the kitchen, rather than many bare bones Airbnbs that just have salt. Kitchen was very well equipped with pretty much everything you could need. Location is great, numerous stores in the area, including grocery stores, everything is very walkable. The only slightly negative thing is the bed is pretty noisy and squeaky when just shifting positions, which can be difficult if your partner is a light sleeper. But we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Parma -- and hopefully we do, because the food is incredible!

We had a great stay! The apartment was exactly as described, with all the promised amenities in perfect working order. The host was very communicative and provided clear instructions for everything, which made the whole experience smooth and easy. The location is excellent, and overall we had no complaints. Highly recommended!

Casa centralissima,comoda per arrivare ovunque a piedi, nei dintorni ci sono molti locali e attività.Inoltre l'appartamento era davvero pulito e ben tenuto, c'è tutto il necessario per il soggiorno.

Io e la mia ragazza ci siamo trovati benissimo, ad ospitarci era presente Vincenzo, il papà di Francesco, che è stato puntuale e molto gentile con noi, anche nel darci tutte le informazioni necessarie. Ci siamo sentiti a casa, e la zona è molto comoda per chi desiderasse visitare Parma ma avendo comunque la possibilità di girare nei paesi fuori dal centro. Consiglio caldamente.

Alloggio molto familiare, eravamo al quarto piano con ascensore, piccolo balcone in cucina con tavolino e sedie , ottimo per fare colazione all'aperto e fumare . Appartamento con 2 bagni. Possibilità di parcheggiare in garage se non si trova parcheggio in strada .

Host molto educato e preciso, amichevole, ci ha accolto per spiegare le cose principali dell' appartamento, tutto semplicemente perfetto, nulla da aggiungere o consigliare, e' stato un piacere

A truly unforgettable stay in a breathtaking historic convent – unforgettable host! Staying at Chiara’s family’s antique convent apartment in Casalmaggiore was an absolute dream. The space itself is spectacular—steeped in history, beautifully preserved, and bursting with classic charm. From vaulted ceilings to delicate original details, every corner whispers stories of another era, and yet it’s been thoughtfully modernized to ensure total comfort. But the real highlight of our visit was Chiara herself. She is hands-down the most gracious, warm, and attentive host we’ve ever encountered. She greeted us with a radiant smile, made us feel instantly welcome, and was genuinely excited that we were there, as if we were old friends. Even better, Chiara’s local recommendations elevated our stay to another level. Thanks to her insider tips, we discovered mouthwatering trattorias, delightful wine bars, and charming hidden gems off the tourist path. A meal she pointed us to became our favorite

Il soggiorno in questo alloggio è stato davvero impeccabile! La casa era esattamente come descritta: curata nei dettagli e dotata di tutti i comfort necessari per sentirsi come a casa. La posizione era in una zona tranquilla e a pochi passi dal centro storico, ideale per esplorare la città senza stress. L’host è stato disponibile, gentile e attento a ogni esigenza. Ha fornito indicazioni utilissime su ristoranti e mezzi pubblici, dimostrandosi sempre presente ma mai invadente. Apprezzatissima anche l’attenzione ai piccoli dettagli: era presente qualcosa da mangiare per colazione, capsule per il caffè... Consiglierei questo alloggio senza esitazioni a chiunque cerchi un’esperienza comoda e ben organizzata.

Ottima posizione nel centro di Parma per spostarsi a piedi. Alloggio ampio e confortevole in palazzo signorile. Host reattivo e molto disponibile. Consigliatissimo.

Quiet place just outside of the busy central city at walkable to everything you want to see. A big plus is the private parking space but be aware that anything bigger than a compact car will be difficult to park there. The wireless was a little finicky to get onto at first, but once we restarted the router and seemed to work fine thereafter. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The air conditioning cooled the entire apartment to a comfortable temperature and the double glazing made the bedroom. Very quiet for sleeping. Good choice, especially if you have a car!

Federico è stato assolutamente amichevole, professionale e reattivo. L'appartamento corrisponde alla descrizione, di gran gusto ed eleganza, dettagli curati, arredamento bello, di Design ma anche funzionale. Atmosfera molto calda ed accogliente. Il palazzo è di pregevole finitura, pratico per il parcheggio e per raggiungere il centro storico. Consigliatissimo per qualsiasi tipo di soggiorno nella bella Parma. Se ripasserò da queste parti, sarà la mia prima scelta. Top!!!

Der Check-In und Check-Out waren, auch durch die Hilfe Michelas Englisch-sprechendem Sohn, sehr einfach und verständlich. Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage ist ein großes Plus! Die Wohnung war äußerst sauber und es war alles vorhanden, was man für einen Kurzurlaub benötigt. Die direkte Umgebung ist nicht allzu schön, aber zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus ist man schnell in der Innenstadt und kann diese genießen. Alles in allem würde ich die Wohnung auf aufgrund des guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses weiterempfehlen!

Un viaggio scelto quasi per gioco con la mia ragazza Oriana, tre giorni di emozioni e sensazioni meravigliose da portarsi a casa. Assunta ed Ivan, con la loro Matilde (cagnolina stupenda e di straordinaria dolcezza), ci hanno trasportato in un sogno, dall'accoglienza calorosa, alle piccole attenzioni. E se i dettagli fanno la differenza, e la fanno eccome, qui di dettagli ve ne sono moltissimi, dalla pulizia del luogo, alle colazioni pazzesche! Un progetto, quello del loro B&B, di una straordinaria bellezza. Fin dall'entrata si susseguono profumi meravigliosi, dalla lavanda alla paglia secca; i colori sono terrosi, naturali, sinceri, un po' come il loro sorriso. È stato stupendo chiacchierare con loro di qualsiasi cosa. Vi consigliamo di apprendere quanto più c'è da sapere sul posto e sui dintorni. Ci sono storie meravigliose in quelle valli colme di natura, e sono lì a pochi passi. Questo posto straordinario merita davvero di essere visto, ma soprattutto vissuto. Consigliatissimo!
